I get it. You want to keep your favorite fanfic. Download it to your laptop/desktop, print it out, get a hole puncher, and slam it in a binder.

Buy YOURSELF a book binding kit. Tada, new hobby & now all your fav fics are in books that YOU MADE.

Do NOT. DO FUCKING NOT. BUY. FANFICTION. THAT IS BEING SOLD. ON SITES LIKE ETSY OR AMAZON. *DO NOT FUCKING DO THAT*.

1: it's fucking illegal

2: it can get US, THE AUTHORS, SUED. I know a lot of folks are too young to remember the fear that Anne Rice spread by SUING FANFICTION AUTHORS- but it's a real thing, it can get us in DEEP SHIT.

3: From what I've seen, it's not even the authors themselves who are selling their work, but greedy motherfuckers who have decided that they want to step into the publishing atmosphere in the most illegal fashion possible.

Writers are pulling beloved fics from fic hosting sites because of this. Fics that have been around for Y E A R S. Being pulled because some folks want to spoil the fun for everyone.

If you are on etsy or Amazon & you see these posts of sellers trying to sell bound fanfiction to you, report it. I don't care. Report it. Because it's a direct threat to fanfiction ITSELF and a threat for fic hosting sites like ao3, wattpad, fanfiction.net, tumblr.

Please. P l e a s e. Don't buy this. I promise you, downloading your fav fic is a much better way to go. Back in the day, we'd just download & print our fics & slam them in 3 ring binders and call it a day.

Don't purchase bound fanfiction from Etsy or Amazon.

1. if we’re talking about writing then i guess when i was little i wanted to write down all of the dialogue of some of mlp episodes but my mom said no😭😭 and i did throw a whole tantrum then and she was like “child get over yourself” and i was all putty and decided screw you people, i’ll do it myself >:[ (spoiler ahead: i didn’t) and then after some years i guess i watched some series and me and my friend made up a world there and i wanted to write down some scenes with me so i literally wrote my own fanfiction then?? (i literally don’t remember what was happening to writing in my life between the ages like 8-13💀)(i mean i remember i was writing a silly story once and planning a book but like??? when exactly??)

and as for writing i literally came out of the womb with a marker in my hand so i was doing it for as long as i remember and i always loved mlp so it started there and well… here we are

So I’ve been debating on telling you this, just bc it’s personal and sensitive, but after ur post about the anons, I want you to know how meaningful you are to others. You don’t have to read it or even respond if you don’t want, but I just feel like I should say it. TW: brief mention of infertility.

Last week, my brother and his family came into town for Thanksgiving. I always have the worst anxiety bc of my past relationship with my brother, but we’ve slowly gotten better over the years. But still, he brings on a lot of anxiety. Usually, I drink heavy when I’m around them to calm my nerves, but I had a migraine that day so I didn’t. Apparently, long story short, my behaviour and something I said at the table gave them the impression I was pregnant. He texted my mother, not asking *if* I was pregnant, but how far along I was. I’ve struggled for years with infertility, and idk why but recently (even before this) I’ve been feeling really triggered/upset all over again. So when I found out he asked that (not with bad intentions at all, but still), I lost it and have spiralled a bit into a funk.

I did what I always do and escape into fanfiction, so I was stalking your blog. You answered a question about Ewan’s chars’ hobbies, and the response made me laugh for the first time that day. Continuing to scroll through, I found more of your answers to questions entertaining and reread some of my fav works from you, cheering me up immensely and distracting me.

I’m not saying this as in you’re my entertainment, so I really hope it doesn’t come off that way. I just want to make a point that *you*, as a person, make someone— a random stranger across the pond to you— smile and brought lightness to one of their dark days. You are a human being, a kind and funny one, and I don’t understand how people can send or say that stuff thinking you’re not or realising your significance. I’ve always loved your wit and smart ass remarks or incredible mind that puts your all into your amazing works. I’m a huge fan of you, and I really hope you don’t let those two anons get to you when you mean so much to other followers of you. i don't use labels for gender & sexuality (aside from being asexual) but am pretty masculine and like all, regardless of gender, and my pronouns are he/him :3

about me, uhh,, im vegetarian, my favorite animal is the octopus, ive actually recently started playing rdr2 (after playing rdr1 quite a bit on my switch), my favorite characters so far is arthur of course but also javier (whenever i can find him?? i hardly see him in game </3), my dream job would be to be a paramedic if not for aforementioned chronic illness, i have a weird paradox of being somewhat strong (yayy muscles slowly growing from like half workouts and walking) while also being weak, and i cant rly do things for a long time lest i get a 200 bpm, but can still pick people up. im also punk!! better yet actually cripple punk :3

for hobbies, i enjoy reading, especially non fiction; classic lit, and danmei my friends have forced me into, video games as aforementioned (hades, gi, and ace attorney being other favs), i make art of many kinds but mainly physical sketches, i loovvvee music despite knowing absolutely nothing about it mechanically, i enjoy writing literally just fanfiction and some cringy poetry here and there, and i do tarot!!!

as for personality: with strangers i can range from actually rather confident to a bit shy but willing to talk (contributed by my goal of complimenting least one person each time i go out, its great!!), quite intuitive, can improv quite well in many scenarios, mainly w humor, friends would call me.. probably laid back with a big heart, also easy to talk to—thats actually something ive been told a few times. but i also have this lovely habit of bottling up my feelings to no end for a negative trait—and though thats been getting better, i can still never cry in front of ppl. i can also get irritable rather often because of adhd and anxiety </3. and ihave a potty mouth which i have to control around others,,

for likes: loud music/concerts but quiet rooms, cats, nu metal, uhh....what do i like... aforementioned video games, cold treats (though its not like i can eat/drink hot things..) plushies, trying new foods and going to restaurants!!! my idea of a fun time is an interesting restaurant/cafe. i also like matcha a lot, just odd foods in general, i also have chickens and they are an absolute blast to have long as they arent acting up (which i suppose would be relevant in the rdr world), and an odd love: yogurt/white chocolate covered pretzels. its delicious you gotta believe me

as for dislikes: rude people. not nice people. bigots. assholes. any variation or synonym of the type, also people who mistreat kids and dont know how tf kids brains work too—personal pet peeve. and people who dont like cats. always a red flag. but other than that not many things,, i consider myself open minded

Hello there! This is for the matchups!

Song: Guns for Hire from the Netflix show Arcane :) I'm hyperfixating on it because I associated this song with a scene from an Interactive Fiction game I'm following called Leas: City of the Sun (it's a fantasy romance game and I love it so much) For specifics, I love this lyric itself but also the way it was sung was chef's kiss -> With all this weight buckling down on you now/ Don't you drown and float away (I love the pre-chorus too but yeah -> You're out of time make your move/ Live or die while the fuse is lit/ And there's no turning back)

Favourite media (?): My favourite K-drama is Flower of Evil (it's a mystery-thriller romance) and I absolutely love League of Legends: Arcane on Netflix. My favourite webtoon is Purple Hyacinth and it's a mystery with some action and has really hot main characters heh :)

Favourite books/authors: I don't read very often but if I had to choose a favourite book it would probably be The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. I also love reading Leigh Bardugo

Fav animal: Cats. Very generic but if I had to choose an animal I would like to be, it would be a cat.

Fav foods: Chicken and potatoes in any form. Very basic but I love it if it is made well

INFP's seem to be characterized by their unique, open, and spontaneous nature. They bring a lot of creativity and fun to the lives of everyone they meet, and I think Lasko could really benefit from a partner like that.

It would make a lot of sense that Lasko, being a workaholic, would forget to make time for the hobbies that bring him joy, like video games and TTRPGs. It’d be so lovely the two of you to sit and be creative together, whether that be writing, drawing, or just consuming art. Lasko seems like he’d enjoy a good Asian drama, I feel this in my soul.

Also, Tangled is one of Lasko’s absolute favorite movies. A young, naive child with special powers and an authoritarian guardian breaking out of a prison to go on a journey where they find self-discovery and love? He eats that shit UP. Ooh, yes, I am delightfully intimate with the Arcane soundtrack. That was a hyperfixation of mine last year. (ViktorxReader is actually what got me back into writing fanfiction- a little peak behind the emerald curtain lol) So I had to give you the fun, sweet love song off of it. I don’t know if it’s his genre- Lasko’s taste in music eludes me- but I can see him hearing that song and it bringing him joy and it reminds him do you (especially if the two of you watch Arcane and look forward to season 2 together!)

So I wrote a single piece of fanfiction back in 2019 for a separate fandom, but other than that, I’d say I started writing as a real hobby in 2022 :)

‘Are you planning to make a profession out of this or just doing it for fun?’

Not out of writing specifically, though I’d love to be able to! I am hoping that it will come in handy with something else I think I might be able to achieve later on though?

As a general answer, definitely Az 🧡💛

However if I’m feeling sad or in need of comfort it will probably be Feysand 🫣

‘What do you do when you’re out of ideas?’

Usually if I’m out of my own ideas I’ll switch to completing requests? However if I’ve lost the urge to actually write, then I’ll put on some music and see what happens, or watch a horror game (resi 7 has become my comfort series), read a book, take a shower, eat a meal, laze in bed if it’s the evening, just general things I know improve my mood to get me back on my feet I think :)

Though if it’s the morning of a weekend or something and I’m trying to get tumblr stuff done but it’s not working, I’ll usually try and find non-tumblr related tasks to do just help me feel like I’ve gotten something done 🧡💛

‘Lastly, Will plz give an advice for the young writers out that.’

Gosh, okay, I think it really depends on what sort of person you are for this? Naturally different things will work for different people so maybe consider what you want to write? In the sphere of fanfiction do you think you’ll be writing only for one fandom or a few? Do shorter pieces like drabbles and headcanons, or longer pieces like one-shots and series suit you? (Obviously you can write a mixture, I think it can be useful to have variety so people can read what suits them?)

This might be more on the boring side, but being aware of what suits you in terms of how much you can write? Fanfiction can take up a lot of your personal time, so if you ever start to feel like it’s getting too much you can always take a break, or decide to shift posting days around—this isn’t something that has to be permanent. Heck you don’t even have to have a schedule for uploads if that’s not your style which is the fun part of having this as a hobby!

Also, as dull as it might be, trying to remember to proofread things 🫠 I know I still sometimes reread my older fics (sometimes also newer ones) and end up spotting simple mistakes that just take away from the immersion of a fic, so as monotonous as it is, I’d really suggest trying to proofread, or if you know grammar isn’t your strong suit, just brushing up on that, too! I don’t think it’s the end of the world, or that it will push people away, but I do think it’s something that’s important to writing :)

FAV. BOOK: the long walk by stephen king, inkheart by cornelia funke, or frankenstein by mary shelley <3 love different aspects of all of them, though inkheart was a big part of my childhood so i'm biased BHHGTR

LAST MOVIE / SHOW: UHHH wolfwalkers! VERY good i really liked it <3 i wanna rewatch song of the sea eventually, too! that ones also a favorite. the last show would probably be season 3 of infinity train ( I still resist the temptation to add Simon sometimes. he is such a terrible yet interesting little man ) or finally finishing watching hisuian snow :]

RECENT READ: if fanfiction doesnt count ( if it Does then wander boy by poptod, which is surprising its not one of the HUGE amounts of disco elysium fanfiction i've been chewing on lately ) then probably i think frankenstein by mary shelley, which i picked up and began reading but didn't finish :( still the most recent though! I wanna actually finish that + reread the long walk + read a bunch of other books, like the song of achilles by madeline miller, circe by madeline miller, orange world and other stories by karen russle, memorial: a version of homers illiad by alice oswald, the haunting of hill house by shirley jackson, good omens by neil gaiman and terry pratchett, the city & the city by china mieville, etc etc etc! ( if you guys have any suggestions actually, feel free to send em my way! )

INSPIRATION: horror! especially slashers, psychological horror, and 'bloodbath' horror ( selectively! carrie's got the vibes, saw does NOT ), psychological writing in general, a bunch of the books i have or plan on reading, mythology & legends, fanfiction and composition, music ( especially the weakerthans, the narcissist cookbook, hozier, etc ), poetry, and just!! learning methods of how things Generally are made, ig! how people paint, how people make clothes and make fabric, how people grow plants. i take a lot of inspiration from unexpected places, but a lot of those places are the act of creation in of itself. my writing might only be writing, but i try to embody a sense of color to it, of an artstyle you can almost taste, yknow? the composition in shows where blues look almost green and its like the world is basked in paint and there's just a feeling, indescribable, contextual but potent in of itself, the feeling of small moments everywhere, all at once, all the time. THAT SOUNDS REALLY PRETENTIOUS BUT LIKE... its true, yknow!! i like to embody a feeling in my writing, and i go to a lot of places to find it.

STORY BEHIND URL: once, a long time ago, my oc multimuse @cassiopiia was named orphic-ruin, and quillheel came second in my blogs list. i wanted them to match! so i thought of storytelling, which went to writing, then to pens, then to quills! and the 'heel' part comes from achilles heel, or the achilles tendon! as well as having ties to hermes' winged feet. in a way, its kinda saying 'vulnerable storyteller' or 'half-divine legend' or even kinda like a title or epithet vibe wise like you might find on a mythological figure ( ex: quill-heeled ) or something like that, which i think still fits the vibe p well to this day! if i did change the URL, idk what I'd make it now! i might eventually, but yeah!

My adhd ass would not have survived school at any level if I wasn't allowed to doodle while the teacher talked. Because if I couldn't either do something with my hands or stare at a wall the whole time, I would zone the fuck out.

Bridgerton is like. A regency era au fanfiction but it's a tv show. There's also a book series. The books came first. You might enjoy the books more than the tv show?

The show follows the book series' style of having each individual book/season be about the romance between one of the Bridgerton's and their love interest.

Also, their first initials are alphabetical in oder of birth, so the eldest is Anthony, and the youngest is Hyacinth.

It's marble cake but as cookies! I make them using this cake mix cookie recipe:

And I do one box of golden and one box of either chocolate fudge or devils food cake. Once the dough has chilled for at least 15 minutes, I pull both bowls out and start mixing them together by hand. But I try not to mix them too much, because you still want to be able to see the different colours.

I'M SEEING FALL OUT BOY AT A LOCAL MUSIC FESTIVAL NEXT MONTH AND I AM SO HYPED FOR IT!

The festival is full of punk/pop punk faves. It's headlined by Billy Talent and Fall Out Boy, but it's also gonna have bands like We The Kings, Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, grandson, and LØLØ!

I'm going with my other bestie and her brother, so it's gonna be a good time regardless of who's playing, but holy fuck it's Fall Out Boy!

(I have no clue if you like that kinda music or not, but if you do then you totally get why I'm so excited lol)
