A/N
OBLECTATION: pleasure/enjoyment

__________
Before I was in a relationship Valentine's Day was never really special for me, being rather annoyed by the display of love and the need to show your partner on this specific day that you love them. And when I entered one I wasn't that interest in celebrating Valentine's Day either. Realising that it is pretty commercial and that I don't need a certain day in the year to show my loved one my feelings. All of this changed when I met Carlos and loved every opportunity we had to share some time, have a date and just show love to each other.
Our first Valentine's Day was probably overboard, but Carlos wanted to go all out as he told me afterwards, because he wasn't sure what I expected from him on that day. I managed to convince him that I didn't need something extra special on that day in February and we made a deal. While I would have been happy with a simple date, going to a restaurant, watching a movie or even having a picnic, Carlos wanted to make it at least a bit special. So, we agreed on staying in a hotel for a few days around Valentine's Day. Enjoying a few days off from taking care of the apartment, food and other stuff while just having the time for us.
Tonight is no different. We checked into the hotel yesterday, slept in this morning and had some breakfast in bed, before enjoying the wellness program of the hotel. Being massaged, relaxed in the sauna and talked a lot without being interrupted by our phones or anything else. Right now, I am making myself ready for our date in a restaurant. Dressing up in a tight knee-length dress, not too much, but nothing too casual as well. and the most important part: Something I feel comfortable in.
"Mi Vida? Are you almost ready?" Carlos asks and knocks softly on the bedroom door. He decided that I get the room for getting ready, while he was comfortable in just using the small living are our room or more apartment has. He insisted on us separating to get ready because he wanted to look at my outfit in complete to, quote "Admire the full beauty."
"Just stepping into my shoes." I tell him while getting my shoes out of my luggage. Simple black heels, which make my legs just a little bit longer.
"Waiting at the door for you." He tells me and I can hear him stepping away. With my shoes on my feet, I look into the floor-length mirror for the last time, fixing my dress, before I decide that I am ready. I grab my purse from the bed where I placed it before and finally leave the bedroom.
My heels click softly on the floor and Carlos looks up when I approach him "Hi." I say with a smile while Carlos looks up and down my appearance. His eyes soften and he holds his hands out for me to take.
"You look breathtaking." He compliments me and pulls me close to his chest, making me smile softly.
"Thank you. Only the best for my man." I smooth out the hem of his shirt before I look him in the eyes. "You look handsome as well." Placing a soft kiss on his cheek is still something that makes my own heart flutter after all this time.
"Let's go and show everyone how pretty we are." Carlos grins and takes my hand again, grabs the key card and then we leave the room. We take the elevator down to the ground level and walk through the lobby to get to the restaurant. It was our decision to eat in the hotel restaurant because we both wanted to drink some wine and didn't want to bother with the way back afterwards.
We greet the waitress at the entrance which leads us to our table which is one of the corners, giving us some privacy, even though the hotel itself is maintaining the privacy of its guests pretty well. It doesn't take long before our table is filled with different food. For today the restaurant has a special menu with shared dishes where both people at the table get an empty plate and you can taste everything you desire in a smaller portion. We share a bottle of wine as well, both like to drink a glass or two from time to time.
Talking, laughing and just spending time with each other makes the time fly by and I couldn't thank Carlos more for making this possible. Even though I do tell him often not to spoil me too much since I have no interest in being called a gold digger just because he has more money and no problem spending it on me.
"Dessert?" Carlos asks, fingers playing softly with mine. The dishes were gone already, and we had let the food sit for a bit before he asked this question. I place one hand on my belly before I sigh.
"I think I am full."
"Want to stay for a bit longer or want to get rid of those shoes?" Carlos tilts his head slightly to the side, gesturing to my shoes. He knows they tend to get painful after some time, but it helped that I wasn't walking much with them tonight.
"Let us finish the wine and leave afterwards." I tell him and Carlos lifts my hand to kiss my knuckles softly.
"As you wish."
We keep talking for a bit, slowly emptying the last bit of wine before we decide to leave. Carlos holds my hand tightly again and his thumb brushing over the back of my hand always gives me a reassuring feeling. Now I feel more than glad that we picked the hotel restaurant option because, with a full stomach, I do feel kind of tired. We wait for the elevator, and I lean against his chest while we wait.
"Thank you for this evening, Carlos." I mumble softly and he wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me close against his body.
"Everything for you." He promises and I know he is honest. Carlos would to everything for me and sometimes this does scare me. Not that I wouldn't do the same for him, but at the same it feels weird to know that someone would go to such great lengths just for me. It does take the elevator a bit to reach the ground level since it is an older model and we enter before we pick our floor.
"Wanted to kiss you properly for the whole night." Carlos mumbles and tilts my head up by the chin to place his lips on mine. I kiss him back and sigh softly against his lips. Tongue dipped between them to deepen the kiss, but I managed to pull away because we were still in public.
"Hm, you still taste like wine." I tell him and with Carlos licking his lips I am sure I taste of the wine as well.
"Good or bad?" He asks and I don't even need to think about the answer because he always tastes like the finest brand of candy for me.
"Good."
Carlos smiles, before kissing my lips again and again, peppering some kisses on my face, making me giggle. When I look on his face there is a cheeky smile on his lips.
"You know what would be fun?" He asks but doesn't wait for me to answer him and instead just drops on his knees. My mouth falls open and I don't know what to say. What is he up to? Carlos looks up to me, while his hands slowly wander up my thighs, under my dress until he reaches the hem of my panties.
"Carlos, what?" I try to ask him but just manage to stutter when his fingers hook under the hem of my panties and he pulls them down my legs. Like controlled I lift my feet when he tugs at them and can only observe when Carlos puts my panties in his pocket. Just when I want to speak up and ask him what he is doing the characteristic ping of the elevator cuts the silence between us.
"Shhh." Carlos mutters and is back on his feet in a split second. His arm wraps around me, making us seem like a normal couple when the door opens and someone from the hotel staff enters the elevator.
"Good evening." She greets us and we politely greet her back "Evening."
She presses the button for the second floor and then there is silence. I can feel Carlos's hand roaming over my back, dipping lower, until he places it on my ass. I look up to him, trying to tell him with my eyes to stop, but he just smiles and squeezes my backside. Needing to hold back the surprised whimper I bite down on the inside of my cheek while glaring at Carlos.
The hotel staff leaves the elevator again, leaving us all to ourselves and I am not sure if this is good. As soon as the door is closed again Carlos drops back to his knees. Hands on my thighs, slowly shoving the hem of my dress upwards while his eyes are fixated on mine. I manage to stop his hands, and he lets me. As much as this situation thrills me, we can't do this here.
"The cameras, it's too risky." I tell Carlos, still holding his hands in mine, but he just smiles up at me, the cheeky one which is reserved for slightly steamy situations he has planned.
"I took care of that." He informs me and detaches my hands from my dress without any struggles. I try to understand what he is saying, mind racing while he still kneels in front of me.
"So, you planned this?" I ask him when I manage to find my voice and get another grin in return.
"Maybe." Carlos gets on his feet and confidently flips a switch at one of the walls making the elevator stop abruptly.
"Calos! You can't do this!" I hiss at him and try to get past him to put the elevator on again. He can't be serious right now, this is not even allowed and we will get in so much trouble were he will not be able to get us out so easily.
"There is no sign telling me that it is illegal." Carlos mumbles and pulls me back, making me lean against his chest. His nose brushes down my neck and I can't stop myself from lulling my head to the side.
"You're unbelievable." I manage to say when he softly bites into the flesh of my shoulder and can feel the vibrations in his chest when he chuckles.
"I know." He lets go of me, turns me around and leads me backwards until I am against one of the walls. Before I can lecture him more, he drops to his knees again and pulls out a small bottle. The click of it opening makes me realises that he is just putting some lube on his fingers.
"And now lean back mi vida." Carlos mumbles before he shuffles his knees between my feet to make my stand wider. I can't even think about stopping him, because just a few heartbeats later one of his fingers slips right into me because of the lube.
"Oh, Carlos!" I whimper, not knowing if I want to scold him or tell him he shouldn't stop. As he told me I lean against the wall and try to relax, trying to trust him in this situation. Slowly Carlos moves the finger, letting the lube-coated finger slip in and out of me, making arousal spike in my body. Just when he slips a second finger inside there is a cracking sound coming from the panel of the elevator. I try to wriggle away from Carlos's hand, but he places his second hand on my belly and presses me against the wall.
"Hello, this is the house security. We got a notification that the elevator got stuck between two floors." A squeaking voice tells us, and my eyes widen. Fuck. While I kind of freak out Carlos just stays seated between my legs, holds his finger in front of his lips to tell me to keep it quiet, while he just slowly keeps moving his fingers.
"Is anyone hurt? The camera is not able to record due to an issue." The voice asks and the bit about the camera almost makes me relaxed if it weren't for the fingers of Carlos hitting the best spots inside of me, making it harder and harder to let no sound slip over my lips.
"No, we are fine." Carlos casually tells them while keeping his eyes on me, fixating me with his gaze, making me not able to look away from him.
"How many people are in the elevator?" They ask another question, and I bite down on my lower lip when Carlos slightly twists his wrist, making his fingers slip in with a different angle.
"Just my girlfriend and I."
"Is she unharmed?" They ask back and I gesture for Carlos to stop his movements for a bit, but he still has this wicked smile on his lips and I need to answer them before they suspect anything.
"Yes..." I manage to say, but need to stop myself because Carlos casually presses his thumb down on my clit. "I am fine." I add with a pressed-sounding voice and then there is silence for a moment.
"Are you sure Mam?" They sound concerned and Carlos lifts his eyebrow in a challenging manner, while I glare at him.
"Just a little tipsy." I tell them quickly which might be a bit of the truth even though it might be tipsy on lust.
"Okay, we will send help as quickly as possible, I come back to you when I have any new information." They tell us and after we say, "Thank you." The speaker is finally silent again.
I let my head lull and try to relax myself with the information that they can't see what we are doing and the fact that I do trust Carlos.
"Think you can keep it quiet for me?" He asks me and I take a deep breath before I nod. We don't know when they will open the connection again and it would be more than hard to explain to them why I am whimpering Carlos's name over and over again.
"Words mi vida." Carlos takes his fingers out, making me snap out of the haze. I lift my head from the wall and look down at Carlos for my answer.
"Yes."
"Good girl." He mutters, before lifting his hand between my thighs again. Slipping both fingers straight back in with no resistance, being lubricated by my slick by now. My teeth nip at my lip to stop the sounds and lean my head back to stop myself from watching Carlos seated between my legs.
He continues his slow movements, dragging his fingertips over my walls, dipping them against every spot he knows which brings me pleasure. I clench on his fingers, knowing he loves it and to make myself feel even more of him. Because I am relaxing more and more under his touch, Carlos adds a third finger. Slowly pushing them inside, waiting for me to get used to the additional stretch. I pat his head, fingers burying in his hair to stop myself from saying his name, pleading for more when he starts to move them with precision.
"Taking my fingers so well." Carlos praises me and I can't stop the whimper being dragged over my lips from his words of approval. But just a second later the pleasure stops because Carlos just pulls out his fingers in one swift movement.
"Tsk, what was that?" He asks me and I let my eyes flutter open to apologize, but Carlos continues speaking before I can say anything.
"Try again." He instructs me and shoves my dress higher up my thighs. I look down, only to see him burying his face between my thighs. My eyes widen and my grip on his hair tightens when his lips meet my middle. Placing open mouth kisses on it, before his tongue slips between my folds. Dragging it from my entrance to my clit, swirling it around the little nub, before getting back to my entrance again where he dips his tongue, before repeating that process over and over again.
Carlos's mouth on me always makes me like wax in his hands and I need to really concentrate to keep my knees from buckling. He holds me up just below my ass and softly kneads the flesh in addition to the pleasure from his mouth. When he softly sucks my clit into his mouth my knees almost buckle from the almost instant orgasm, but he keeps me up on my feet and lifts his head for a moment.
"Still okay on your feet?" Carlos asks me, kisses my thigh, and looks up to me until I nod. Even though I do feel a bit weak, I don't want to stop him just yet. He takes his time like he is discussing with himself if he should continue or change our position before he decides.
"Tap my head three times if you think you fall down okay." Carlos tells me and after another nod from me, I am not sure if I am allowed to say something out loud, his head is back between my thighs. I lift my hand and cover my mouth with it, muffling every little sound that might try to slip past my lips.
Just when I relax under Carlos's tongue, he adds his fingers back in, making my breath hitch in my throat. This combination usually sends me over the edge quickly, especially when Carlos already teased me before, but he is altering his movements, not letting the pleasure build up to its climax, before changing his pattern again. Inpatient I pull his hair, but he isn't bothered by it, just continues with the swirls of his tongue and the thrusts of his fingers.
"Sir?" The speaker squeaks and immediately the pleasure decreases with Carlos freezing in his movements. Couldn't they wait for just a few more minutes? My thighs tremble and I feel on the verge of tears when they continue speaking. "We were able to find the issue. The elevator will move in just a few moments."
"Thank you for your work." Carlos says while slipping his fingers out of me, before licking his fingers clean, eyes focused on mine, making me gulp.
"No problem. We are very sorry for the issue." They say, but I barely hear them, with being fixated on Carlos.
"I am sure a nice breakfast for room 415 will help with it." He doesn't hesitate to say this and there is a pause at the other end, they probably just figured out who their old elevator trapped.
"Of course, Mr. Sainz." Then the line is dead again and just a few seconds later the elevator keeps moving.
"Looks like you have to wait a bit longer." Carlos says, before biting gently down on my thigh. I whimper at the contact of his teeth, not realising that he pulls the dress back down, only when he supportively wraps his arm around me, I come back into reality.
"Please, no more teasing." I practically beg just before the door opens and I can hear Carlos's chuckle beside me. He leans his head down just to whisper into my ear.
"Don't worry, I'll bend you over as soon as we enter our room."
I clench my thighs together, feeling how they stick slightly due to the wetness between them. Certain that Carlos will have no issue in just sliding his entire length in after the preparation he has put into it. He has his arm wrapped around me on the way to the hotel room his other already searching in his pocket for our key card. Luckily, he doesn't need more than one try to open the door and as quickly as it opens it closes behind us.
Without waiting any longer Carlos pushes me in the direction of the dresser. Positioning me on the short side, so that I could lay my full upper body on it. For now, I lean on my elbows, but I don't know for how long I will be able to keep myself up. Behind me, Carlos just shoves my dress back up, freeing the lower part of my body, before his belt clicks, showing me that he is undressing himself.
Carlos groans when he lets his slacks fall to the ground, not even bothering to step out of them. "It feels so good to finally do this." He mutters, shuffling his boxershorts down to free his erection. I can feel him step closer, one hand on my back to hold me in place before his feet shove mine wider apart. There is not much teasing involved when Carlos brings his cock between my folds and just pushes in with one swift movement of his hips.
"Carlos!" I moan his name, now being able to do it without the fear of being in a kind of public place.
"Fuck, you're soaked." He groans and doesn't move his hips like he has to feel it for a moment. Carlos's hands find their place on my hips and then he offers me the first thrust. My hips bang against the dresser, probably getting bruised by the harsh contact, but I don't care. With every thrust Carlos shoves his cock deep inside, groaning and moaning himself while I can't do anything but whimper his name over and over again.
"Please don't stop." I whine when his movements get a bit slower, and I fear he is going to tease me again. "Don't worry." Carlos mumbles, leans down and presses a kiss onto my back before he adjusts his stand a bit. Fingers digging into my skin when he pulls me back with every thrust, skin slapping onto each other while the sweat builds up. My eyes roll up when the tip of Carlos's cock nudges against my g-spot over and over again until my thighs tremble. The orgasm which has built up several times already finally crashes down on me, bringing a few tears to my eyes.
"Oh yes, yes." I whimper, fingers clenching around the edge of the dresser, trying to hold onto something while I come around Carlos who pulls my hips back a couple of times before coming inside of me with a low grunt. We stay in this position for a bit, both needing to catch our breath until Carlos carefully pulls his length out.
"Happy Valentines." He mutters and helps me onto my feet. I just lean against him, not trusting my legs anymore and not caring about the fact that we both are a bit sweaty.
"Let's make you ready for bed." Carlos walks me to the bathroom with me, kicking his slacks and boxershorts away from his feet, before he places me on the edge of the bathtub. He helps me to undress and then gets rid of his last pieces of clothing. Together we stand under the shower for a few minutes, cuddling and sharing a kiss or two while washing off the stains of the evening.
"Thank you." I mutter when Carlos wraps me into a large towel. "Everything for you." He promises and pecks my lips. We both get ready for bed, brush our teeth and put some fresh clothes on, before cuddling under the blanket.
"How long did you plan this little thing in the elevator for." I ask him after a few minutes because this is what I asked myself before. It does take him a bit to answer, and I almost think he is asleep before he answers.
"A bit."
Then he adds "Fantasized on doing it and managed to find a way to make it safe for us without any witnesses."
"It was hot." I tell him, even though now I blush. This could have been such a scandal.
"Glad you liked it mi vida." Carlos says and kisses my shoulder before he leans close to my ear, and I am sure he is up to no good.
"Hopefully I will be able to fuck you in one someday. Maybe even without shutting it off." His teeth bite down on my earlobe, and I whimper when he is soothing the pain with his tongue.
"Let the thrill be with us the whole time." And with that, I know that I will have to expect him to go overboard, not only with his love for me, but also with the amount of thrill he is comfortable to feel outside of his racing life.

TMAGP 35 Thoughts: Pen Pals
We're back to what I like to call "the real podcast". More seriously, I'm just happy for more of what this one is about. I'm really enjoy how this series is building out these multiple plot threads and there are a lot of good call backs in this one. This is one of those ones that makes me thing they've got a really really well fleshed out plan about how everything is going to come together.
Spoilers for TMA , and TMAGP episode 35 below the cut.
Starting off pretty simple really, Alice is very upset that she's a dummy and Colin went mad. Just more reinforcement with the Freddie stuff. Nothing much to say about it all in all. Besides, more important things afoot.
It's a Mr. Bonzo episode, baby! Unfortunately, it's mostly about a pretender but any Bonzo is welcome. We get a proper introduction to Terrance Menke (previously spelled Menki), the Bonzo Butcher mentioned in episode 10 Saturday Night. As you may recall from that episode Menke's crime in the Mr. Bonzo costume basically killed off the entire brand, but I don't think there is an awful lot to get into about the specifics of the crime. Not that it means there aren't things to dig into, but what is interesting about it is the mention of his suit growing tighter, and getting slick. As we know eventually, and for some reason, the Mr. Bonzo suit stopped being just a suit. However, Menke's description of his own suit does seem to imply that any suit, even one with the colours back to front, does seem to work as a host for whatever Mr. Bonzo really is. Is Mr. Bonzo born from the concept of Mr. Bonzo and as such is bound to depictions of him, or is it simply something the animating force prefers? Given how prevalent Mr. Bonzo is in this series I'll be shocked if we don't get an answer to at least some of that soon.
The next thing of importance is Allen Stolas from the Elric Rehabilitation Initiative, both of these things are fairly overt references. Stolas is a goetic demon who're mostly commonly associated with the Lesser Book of Solomon, although a lot of its contents is based on the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum. Stolas is a demon prince and his role is that of a teacher of astronomy, herbs, and precious stones. All of which are quite important to alchemy. The name Elric is very likely a reference to Edward and Alphonse Elric, the main characters from Fullmetal Alchemist. Taken together, and with the general emphasis placed on celestial bodies in episode 21 Breaking Ground, then it would seem likely that the Elric Rehabilitation Initiative is another of the Magnus Institute's organisation. Much like with Welling Mutare Materia research program which also incarcerated people.
For more mundane things Strangeways is a fairly interesting pick for this. Its current official name, and what it would be during this incident, is HM Prison Manchester. It's not particularly interesting as prisons go IMO but it being in Manchester, along with TMAGP's Institute, does mean it parallels TMA's Institute and Millbank prison. It also came up very briefly in the ARG as a cracked theory involving triangulating Manchester landmarks.
Overall, I liked this incident a fair bit. It's always interesting to see things like this revisited and more Bonzo never hurt anyone. As with the ep a few back, I still don't love the whole multi-people talking transcript style but it's a fairly minor complaint all in all and with all the information in this ep it's hard to be too annoyed at it.
Back the OIAR crew and there is generally quite a bit to touch on. Some of that's fairly minor, Celia is still trying to link back the incidents to the Fears she's so familiar with. That's something I'm quite interested to see expanded upon. We can infer from the fact it's a sequel that whatever is going on is at least somewhat compatible with TMA's metaphysics and cosmology. Something that was confirmed in the Q&A. How they tie together isn't super clear right now though. At least, not beyond the more basic takes of "X ep is Y Fear". There isn't anything wrong with assigning those things but we've been pretty constantly shown that those classifications aren't a good fit for TMAGP's incidents so I'm eager to see the ways those are good fits. Also, Gwen both being taken about by Alice being somewhat kind, and also having no idea how to actually socialise with the OIAR crew, makes me sad. She deserves better. Probably.
GWEN Not really. It’s just going on and on about how important it is to “balance the books.” Alice, do you know if a guy named William Price ever worked here? ALICE If he did it was before my time. CELIA Hang on… “Bill Price” and he wants to balance the books? That’s got to be a fake name Right?
This deserves quoting because it reads to me as a very intentional bit of manipulation by Celia. This isn't the first time we've heard of William Price, and it's not the first time Celia has either. William Price, as mentioned by Sam in episode 20 Social Stigma, was the head of the OIAR's response department. Now, Alice was in that conversation too but at the time she was pretty over Sam's whole Magnus rabbit hole. Celia was very much pushing him forward though, and has been trying to cover her tracks since. I don't think this will deter Gwen any and I'm ever hungry for more information about what the OIAR is actually doing. The “balance the books.” bit is well in line with how Lena described the OIAR's purpose to Gwen in episode 13 Futures as monitoring the various forces in the world and balancing them as required. And, obviously, balance is a central idea of the show with Celia's explanation of why Sam needs to get booted to the primeline being explained that way, and with the Institutes own rituals requiring it. All of which is largely a continuation of TMA's ideas when it came to the rituals.
ALICE steps out the main door with her headphones in. She walks into a heavy trolly, bashing her shins and knocking a couple of items, including the camcorder we’re listening through. ALICE Ah! Mother-[fucker!] Hmmmm. Ow. What the hell is- Teddy?
Teddy's back, and I swear I thought this was going to end up being a "Teddy is homeless" bit, but it's worse.
ALICE Anything exciting? TEDDY It’s fine. [bzzt]
Poor Teddy. This man deserves better.
ALICE walks off. The Camera zooms in on TEDDY. His tension transitions into fear once she is out of sight. TEDDY (To camera) I’m Sorry! I’m on my way okay? It won’t happen again!
Man, you quit one nightmare job only to end up on the proverbial nightmare fire. Poor Teddy, man. Dude is gonna end up being Freddie's meat puppet and eventual host. It's gonna suck.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Incident/CAT#R#DPHW Master Sheet and Terminology Sheet
DPHW Theory: 4778 is more or less what you'd expect. As with other incidents where people die but it's not all about capital D Death you get a bit of that, but lots of killing, incarceration, and fucked up clown men on a war path does get you a lot of PHW.
CAT# Theory: 1 is the same Category as the previous two Mascot incidents. Not much more to say than that.
R# Theory: B is also the same Rank as the previous two Mascot incidents and as with those, it's very B.
Header talk: Mascot (Incarceration) -/- Retaliation (Imposter) is an interesting heading to me in that it reframes what we hear as being all about Mr. Bonzo.

HI! HI! I'M THE GUY FROM AO3 IF IT WASN'T OBVIOUS FROM MY CRUSH 40 THEMED BLOG!!
(note . i might be reaching with A LOT of this stuff but this is MY special interest and hyperfixation and i get to say what i want. also i think you'd understand what i mean when i say things)
so, let's get one thing out of the way. on it's own, i am all of me is both a v1 song and a gabriel song on their own in my head
^ this, to me, is v1. the "black writing" in my head is directed towards the writings found on the murals of gabriel in 4-3. "unleashed a million faces / and one by one they fall" all the husks and demons in hell being there for who knows how long, before the machines (or in this case, just v1) come around and start killing them all off. in the grand scheme, v1 is the villain in this story (killing the denizens of hell without mercy, even with a reason thats still a villain), the "black hearted evil", but at the end of the day is still the protagonist, the "brave hearted hero"
^ and this is gabriel. it REALLY reminds me of his monologues to v1, but the beginning is what really sells it. those first two lines really encapsulate who he is as a character, or at least who he was before v1 came around- a weapon for the council (who, if you REALLY wanted to reach for it can also be seen as the evil in this case, and these two lines can be seen as him killing the council). "i laugh and watch you fall" can be seen as the fight in 6-2, going from a accusatory anger to manic laughter. and again, story-wise, gabriel is the antagonist, the main person against the protagonist, v1 (and also was the villain of the past lore, killing off minos & sisyphus most notably when they tried to make hell better). but he's the "hero" of this story (if you think more towards just the current part of ultrakill and not the past lore that takes place beforehand), trying to stop the villain, v1.
now, how does this all tie into gabv1el? simple. two different things. one, i like thinking about how those two verses mentioned above would play out if they said these things to one another, especially with gabriel's end. the manic laughter he has in 6-2 is probably one of the strongest forces the gabv1 fanbase has to show the canonicity of the ship, and "i laugh and watch you fall" really reflects there to me
but also the chorus of the song is? very gabv1 in my head?
like this really reminds me of the almost. i don't want to say OBSESSIVE nature of gabv1el since i know they can be a lot more than that but that's definitely slightly part of it. their obsession with each other that drives them closer (pun only slightly intended) to one another. "capture you or set you free" too. it can be seen from either perspective of the two. for v1, kill gabriel like its programming wants it to or let him live. for gabriel it's the same- kill v1 like how he was supposed to although, now he really has no reason to do so), or let it live to keep observing it and watching its movements and actions (which we have slight proof of him already doing! his dialogue in 6-1). you could also see "can you see all of me? / walk into my mystery" as gabriel talking to v1. he knows about v1 but v1 doesn't know about him. as you play the game more you learn about him through terminals, so by that logic v1 ALSO learns as it progress more, or "walks" into the mystery.
this part also applies to what was said above^
anyways! all in all i think this song for SURE is v1 & gabriel respectively and if you really reach it can be gabv1el. there's definitely crush 40 songs that are more gabv1el than this one (like down & dirty or 2 nights 2 remember) but hey. it's a fun challenge to connect just about anything to crush 40 whenever possible :p
hope you enjoyed my deranged sleep-deprived late-at-night rambles LOLL this was a fun one to yap yap yap about
dude i literally need Everyone to see this analysis. it is So Epic. i get you op i rlly do [shakes your hand in being a sonic & ultrakill fan]
#+ AIRTHROW#answers#ultrakill#sonic the hedgehog#gabv1el#bro... u cooked.#like i never thought i'd see the day where my fav song [from one of my fav franchises] would get analyzed to be about one of my ships#from one of my favorite games...

Oh. My god. Your forestry AU has me in a choke hold. I actually realized I wanted to go into forestry/be a naturalist of some kind because of marble hornets, and this AU... This AU is everything 2 me. Thank you for making it it's amazing and I'm so excited to find out more.
Fem Alex(i) Kralie my beloved<3 AMY TEACHING ALEXI TO HUNT?? They're.. they're the cuties ever actually. And search and rescue Brian Thomas?? Amazing, couldn't ask for more. (It's especially silly since he needed to be S&Red lol) Jay and Jessica running a forestry program for kids is the best thing ever actually, I can just imagine Jay getting lost on tangents to little kids who don't care at all LMAO. And Tim and Alex in the forestry program ? Sillies <3 I love all of them actually- I'm curious as to if Seth and Sarah are gonna be here too 👀
I adore this so much, and I can't wait to see where you take this AU, it's the best and I'm excited to find out more
OH MY GOD HELLO I'M SO GLAD YOU ENJOY THIS AU HOLY SHIT! I am in shock about getting asks lmao. I am so glad you found out you wanted to go into forestry through this amazing series I would be lying if it wasn't at least a part of the reason I'm in love with the woods (I am currently a forestry major as well lol)
So actually that's Sarah teaching Alexi to hunt (not Amy I do draw them kinda similarly tho) teaching Alexi how to hunt I think it was @/Mystycor who brought up Sarah's hunting and a line from the series "This is Sarah's Hunting Ground" near the Red Tower. Therefore she's a wildlife specialist at Rosswood National Forest who runs a Hunting Program teaching people how to sustainably hunt. It's also why in this au Alexi's weapon is a shotgun instead of a pistol.
SO... Search and rescue Brian is... ha.. a few of my friends have gotten the full mental illness ray about this but TLDR, why has Brian lost so much of himself in this au if not for vengeance of some kind? Simple, he tries to save the missing from the ark. (How the ark/ The operator works in this is a bit different but this post is long enough) (anyone feel free to ask more I will infodump) BUT.... yeah there may be.... a lot of ideas about S&R Brian rattling in the brain.
Jessica and Jay are both different specialists but part of their job is running the Junior Rangers (an actual program at most national parks and I have Rosswood Forest under the National Parks Service, Munny Sokol is pretty small so I've actually based Rosswood off Talladega National Forest and a few other Alabama National Parks). Yes, Jay does infodump on little kids, also yes, Jess and Jay have an intense sibling rivalry and the kids love to give them competitions.
Tim and Alex ARE in forestry programs, they all are part of the same Forestry program actually The whole cast works part-time at the National Park they are all Juniors at the University Of Alabama and they work the park during summers and as a 12-unit class all from 3-10 every day (their the underpaid students so their the ones who do the jobs no professional ranger wants to do)
Alexi: Fire Management, Jay: Soil Sciences, Tim: Forest Restoration, Brian: Search and Rescue, Sarah: Wildlife Specialist, Amy: Forest Hydrology, Jessica: Rangeland Manager, Seth: Microbiology Specliset
These all parallel each other like a web I will elaborate if asked.
ANYWAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ENJOYING THIS AU I GOT A LOT OF STUFF COOKING UP!

Hey Guys
Wow it's been quite some time. In regards to my last life post (that I don't remember making) but did happen and was very difficult to deal with all the fall out for like... more than a month after.
I'm sorry I left you all with that and then just disappeared again. Things have been weird the last couple months... to put it in simple words... shit sucks
The falling out with my daughter caused a huge rift between several people who (were not involved but still had a very loud opinion about things) and quite a few uncomfortable conversations.
I unfortunately started drinking as a way to deal with not dealing with things (I'm good now but I had about 3 weeks of just being smashed on the regular) and during that time I suffered an awful fall which resulted in me slipping a disc in my back. Possibly 2 of them but I've had such a hard time dealing with doctors lately that no one in the medical field has been particularly helpful. So I've been living off a cocktail of painkillers for almost 2 months now (which I hate), I was going to physio but then my insurance decided not to cover my sessions until I could PROVE I was actually hurt.
Tomorrow I go for an assessment with a new doctor to try and get my insurance to cover treatment again, my MRI isn't even until August of next f*cking year. -_-
Our healthcare system is an absolute joke right now.
On top of being in CONSTANT pain (not being able to sit or lie down for very long either cuz I lose feeling in my legs) my daughters disability/mental health program has decided to just... not help anymore until she gets a new assessment. Even though its been almost 3 years and she's still on a waiting list for an adult psychiatrist.
So the last week or so now everyone is coming back to me to try and fix/smooth things out again (after I was basically pushed out of her life because I was "making shit up" and "didn't actually care" and apparently was just being a control freak) and no one has apologized for the way they treated me or forced me out of helping my own kid. Nope. They just expect that now that she has no financial coverage that I should be the one to speak for her again cause they have no idea what to do. -_-
My husband has been solid thankfully, even though his relationship with Sassy has suffered so much because of the people around her who have influenced her... not always for the better. But I at least have maintained a sense of control in a way that's worked for me.
I told everyone who has given me grief for the past couple years about Sassy (including Sassy) that if I am going to advocate for her and get this stuff sorted out that I'm doing it my way, and if I get any push back or flack from anyone - then I'm done. They can figure it out themselves and I wash my hands of it all.
My husband thinks I shouldn't have gotten involved again at all, but I know (and I knew things were gonna blow up eventually) if I don't fix this... its gonna become my problem again anyways.
This past month or so I've had some really good breakthroughs with my therapist about my toxic coping skills, people pleasing and lack of boundaries with family members.
I feel better about things though than I ever have and now that I am standing firm with my boundaries and my convictions its been much easier for me to deal with any gaslighting or potential drama that people have tried to start up with me.
I know this got super long winded and I didn't intend for it to be as rambling and trauma dumpy as it was but - it is good to get things out and clear the air. As I feel like I sort of left an air of weirdness here for quite sometime.
Working on getting back to the things that I enjoy and stop becoming immersed in other peoples drama and things that I can't change.
I've missed you guys and crikey has Tumblr changed since I've been away. But I'm hopeful and I look forward to getting back into fandoms and gif sets and all those things I loved so much again <3
much love to you all

Get to know your moots! Thank you @fromthedeskoftheraven and thank you for reccing my Ezra stories 🖤
What's the origin of your blog title? Honestly? It’s a pretty accurate description of my time here. I love my fictional spacemen while experiencing hot flashes and unprecedented levels of existential dread.
OTP(s) + Shipname: John Chricton/Aeryn Sun, Jack O’Neill/Sam Carter, Kara Thrace/Leoben Conoy (Karaben), Chrisjen Avasarala /Bobbie Draper, Gwen Cooper/Captain Jack Harkness (Gwack), Sherlock Holmes/Molly Hooper (Sherlolly) Frankie Morales/Benny Miller (Fishben)
Favourite colour: Purple and dark green
Favourite game: Dominion. This is a table top deck building game. The mechanics are real simple, but there are so many combinations of cards that you can repeat play it forever and still have a great time. The hubby’s cousins got real into Dominion for a few years and at every family gathering there would be at least four Dominion games going at any one time.
Song stuck in your head: “If It’s True” from Hadestown
Weirdest habit/trait? Before I start my car I have to switch my foot between the gas and break pedal several times so I can be sure which one I’m touching.
Hobbies: Cooking, art, writing, tabletop games, amateur cosplay, crochet, sewing.
If you work, what's your profession? I am a finisher in a shop that builds store displays. Which means I am a jack of all trades. I can run a CNC router, three different kinds of large format printers, vinyl plotters. But sometimes I get to cast things in resin and foam, and sometimes I get to build LED lightboxes, which are my favorite. You wire it all together and that shit lights up. It’s satisfying.
If you could have any job you wish, what would it be? Honestly? Probably an electrician. I’m seriously considering trying to get myself certified. I enjoy the work. And I could probably make some decent money.
Something you're good at: Working with my hands. Cooking. Singing. Writing stories.
Something you're bad at: Math.
Something you love: Cheetahs.
Something you could talk about for hours off the cuff: Star Wars, Prospect, The Apollo program, the Challenger disaster, plane crashes, a whole bunch of medical stuff that would squick any normal person out. Cooking methods. Hadestown.
Something you hate: Cruelty for it’s own sake.
Something you collect: Cookbooks, cool rocks, Pedro Pascal ephemera, metal lunchboxes.
Something you forget: Dates and days of the week.
What's your love language? Acts of service. I might not be able to talk about my emotions but I will cook you a nice meal and make sure you’re wearing a coat when you go out in the cold.
Favourite movie/show: Prospect/Farscape Favourite food: I love Mexican food. Favourite animal: Cats. They are God’s most unhinged creations. They have egos the size of Jupiter and they only weigh ten pounds and they love so hard that they vibrate about it.
What were you like as a child? I was weird like it was my job. Let’s put it this way, I got diagnosed with ADHD in the early 80s when people thought that only boys could have ADHD. I was bullied pretty relentlessly. If I could have spent all my time drawing and ignoring the world I would have been happy.
Favourite subject at school? Biology and art. And AP psychology. Least favorite subject? Math and gym. (I don't even need to change Adira's answers) (I don’t need to change Raven or Adira’s answers.)
What's your best character trait? Loyalty. Work ethic. What's your worst character trait? My inability to articulate my feelings. I hold that shit in until I explode.
If you could change any detail of your day right now what would it be? I’d like the knot brewing in my neck to go fuck itself.
If you could travel in time who would you like to meet? Jesus. I know that’s cliched as shit but I would love to hear first hand what he said versus the crazy ass version of Chistianity that dominates right now.
Recommend one of your favourite fanfics (spread the love!): I am going to recommend Compulsion by @iamskyereads. This is an incredible story that feels like a genuine extension of the events of the movie. It's really fucking good.
if you see this consider yourself tagged ❤️

Writer Q&A Game
Thanks to @clairelsonao3 for tagging me!
1. What motivates you to write?
I'm not exactly sure tbh. It almost feels like a compulsion. There are days where I simply do not feel good in my body if I haven't written anything. Then there are others where I can't bring myself to write because I'm too tired or too distracted from life. Honestly the second I get a clear head and enough time to myself, I'll start writing.
2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)
This isn't from my WIP, but from a fanfic I wrote a while ago. I want to try to find a way to incorporate it into something. Not sure where though.
“I know this seems like it’s coming out of nowhere,” he said, “but promise it’s not. I’ve had a long time to think about it. A few years, actually. I guess, I just didn’t realize how deep I was in it until about five minutes ago.”
She kept silent, but the simple fact she hadn’t told him to get out gave him the confidence to keep going. .
“I meant it when I said I’m crazy about you. I like that you take your sugar with a drop of coffee. I like how you sing to yourself when you’re happy. I like that you never seem to get cold. I like that you never lose your head under fire, but still need me to get rid of spiders. I like that you can laugh at yourself. I like that you can laugh at me. Hell, I like that you’re perfectly willing to slap my face if the situation calls for it.
I like so many things about you Liz, and that’s just the stuff I found out on accident. I can only imagine the stuff I’d learn if I started loving you on purpose."
3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?
I really do enjoy writing Finn. The boy just makes my smile.
Close second is another OC which I wrote for fanfic who I want to save and put someplace else, Lucy. She's my softest girl who has a lot of love to give. Might figure out a way to put her in this regency setting somewhere, but who knows.
4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
The first draft spree. The moment when you get an idea and you have write it down as quickly as possible. It's rough and definitely will need some editing, but that rush cannot be topped. It just feels satisfying to exorcise even the smallest of scenes out of my body.
5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
Dialogue, hands down. It's at least the part I've gotten the most compliments on.
6. What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?
I've only just started to dip my toe in, but I really do love answering asks. I like seeing other writer's process and knowing I'm not alone. It's just fun!
7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
I've been using Scrivener and it's really helped me keep everything organized. I have a very conspiracy board way of drafting, so having all my random snippets in one place really helps.
8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
Not sure world building is my strong suit for this current WIP. I suppose I'm enjoying expanding the world of the theatre, but I admittedly need to do more research.
9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?
Write anyway. It doesn't have to be the scene that's giving you trouble. It doesn't even have to be for the piece you're trying to focus on, just don't get out of the habit of writing. Once you lose that momentum, it takes a long time to get it back.
10. Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters
Gotta give a shout out to @clairelsonao3 for being so welcoming in my introduction to the writeblr community. And @janec23, for being one of the few specifically romance writers to reach out.
But I really can't begin to thank all the people who have followed me from my fanfic blog over to this one. It really means so much to know people are interested in reading anything I put out there.
@flapjacques, @jo-harrington, @can-of-pringles, @handahbear, @auroramagpie, @justanothersadperson93, @sad-cat-hours, @ghostface001, @theowlwhocameback, @mattmurdocksscars, @roruna, @everything-intertwined, @sweetjedi, @arcanerazil, @vibratingbonesbis, @delirious0pandemonium, @llovelykenobi, @geek-girl7, @mixedupanddown
Know that I love and appreciate you all.
I'm also going to leave this an OPEN tag to anyone who wants to do this, and especially invite everyone who I have tagged above. (and

I have been reading ‘Hackers & Painters’ by Paul Graham recently. Paul is a hacker who gets pretty rich after his company which uses Lisp for development and one of the first companies used server based programs with lots of releases instead of a Desktop app. I really enjoyed this book. Even tho some parts were outdated, it makes you think about certain topics. It was more excited at start but gets kinda boring and unnecessarily longer in the end. I wanted to quote some parts i chose from the book:
While the nerds were being trained to get the right answers, the popular kids were being trained to please. (p.4)
hackers start original, and get good, and scientists start good, and get original. (p.26)
People in past times were much like us. Not heroes, not barbarians. Whatever their ideas were, they were ideas reasonable people could believe. (p.38)
scientists, or at least of the good ones, is precisely that: look for places where conventional wisdom is broken, and then try to pry apart the cracks and see what’s underneath. That’s where new theories come from. A good scientist, in other words, does not merely ignore conventional wisdom, but makes a special effort to break it. Training yourself to think unthinkable thoughts has advan- tages beyond the thoughts themselves. It’s like stretching. When you stretch before running, you put your body into positions much more extreme than any it will assume during the run. If you can think things so outside the box that they’d make people’s hair stand on end, you’ll have no trouble with the small trips outside the box that people call innovative. (p.39)
How are we to develop new technology if we can’t study current technology to figure out how to improve it? (this IBM having patent and abandoning to open their products are mentioned in the tv serie named Halt and Catch Fire too)
Authoritarian countries become corrupt; corrupt coun- tries become poor; and poor countries are weak. (p.43)
since you don’t understand the code as well, you’re more likely to fix it in an ugly way, or even introduce more bugs. (p.65, this is also what I hated on people I worked with, also please don't forget to clean the code after deletions)
It works a lot better for a small team of good, trusted programmers than it would for a big company of mediocre ones, where bad ideas are caught by committees instead of the people who had them. (p.69)
Wealth is stuff we want: food, clothes, houses, cars, gadgets, travel to interesting places, and so on. You can have wealth without having money. Money is a way of moving wealth, and in practice they are usually interchangeable. What most businesses really do is make wealth. They do something people want. (p.90)
Many employees would work harder if they could get paid for it. (p.97. I would)
Steve Jobs once said that the success or failure of a startup depends on the first ten employees. I agree. If anything, it’s more like the first five. Being small is not, in itself, what makes startups kick butt, but rather that small groups can be select. You don’t want small in the sense of a village, but small in the sense of an all-star team. (p.100)
Norbert Wiener said if you compete with slaves you become a slave. (p.124)
Great work usually seems to happen because someone sees something and thinks, I could do better than that. (p.145)
The word “essay” comes from the French verb “essayer,” which means “to try.” An essay, in the original sense, is something you write to try to figure something out. (p.160)
In OO languages, you can, to a limited extent, simulate a closure (a function that refers to variables defined in surrounding code) by defining a class with one method and a field to replace each variable from an enclosing scope. This makes the programmer do the kind of code analysis that would be done by the compiler in a language with full support for lexical scope, and it won’t work if more than one function refers to the same variable, but it is enough in simple cases like this. (p.197)

Forever Clockwork (Dr. Wily x Reader)
Chapter 2 is now up on my AO3 here and also provided here under the cut. Enjoy! Content Warning - none (teen safe, slight flirting)

II
o0o0o0o
Wily's complex of labs, refineries, and production lines is an impressive operation. Yet he's willing to do this time and time again, refusing to let Mega Man or other do-gooder robots keep him down. And there's no doubt that most if not all of this stuff is stolen or recycled. You remember something about a theft at your old company a few years back and wonder if Wily had anything to do with that.
Programming an AI was no simple task, but what was the program without hardware? And the Wily Bots were pretty damn powerful. Then there were all the helper bots scurrying around, performing routine tasks like bees in a hive. Here and there she saw a hint of a skull motif. Some things never change, eh?
“Why do you like skulls and skeletons so much anyway?” you muse as you glance at a half-constructed vehicle.
“I intend to bring about the death of the old world order? I use it to inspire fear in my enemies? That, and I've always liked it. Plus, it looks badass.” he replied with a grin. Yeah, that was a pretty damn good answer, and you smirked back.
“You've come a long way since you and Dr. Light came up with the original series..." you comment as he shows you the newest series. The two of you talk shop for a bit, but Wily's questions are also ways for him to gauge how up-to-date you are on your knowledge and research. It's something you'd do if the roles were reversed, so you answer his questions with grace. In some ways it's like how it was a decade ago with you in his classroom or lab, talking with him about this or that.
“Talking about science reminds me of the old days,” you comment. You glance at him, figuring you have the opportunity to ask him something a lot of people – including Dr. Light – likely wondered about. “I'm just curious, why do you want to take over the world, anyway?”
“To build a world for robots. Having myself as ruler is just a perk."
Well, there it is, in black and white, much like his skeleton tie. “And you think you can do a better job than anyone else?”
“Yes.” was the deadpan, completely serious tone that brooked no argument.
“Well, you sure are persistent," you reply, and he laughs at that before your stomach lets out a hungry rumble. You haven't had dinner yet, after all, and you haven't had much for lunch, either. "I've had a long day and I'm starving. Much as I enjoy catching up with you and being impressed by your work, I really could use a bite to eat."
You pause as you consider the fact that no one would be willing to deliver food to a Wily Fortress. On the other hand, at least one of his robots has to be a decent hand at cooking, at the very least. Otherwise, there’s going to be what… Ramen? TV dinners?
“Well, if you do not object, I took the liberty of having Shadow Man prepare dinner. If you have some allergies or restrictions, let me know. Otherwise, does sushi sound good?”
“It’s been too long since I had any sushi, let alone good sushi.”
“Then you will not be disappointed.”
He's right, you're not. You're offered an assortment of sushi, and though you're familiar with some of it, there are a few new things to try. There's sake flavored with plum to accompany the meal.
After you graduated, Dr. Light offered you a job in his lab. It wasn't the same without Dr. Wily though, and you left after almost two years (not without a letter of recommendation from Light, at least) before working for a private weapons company before jumping ship and putting together glorified love dolls for rich and bored people. You glance at the man seated across from you at the table, enjoying one of the morsels his faithful ninja-bot made.
You sip your sake, contemplating what is to be done next. You'll have to give your notice to your current – actually, now, former – employer and all that. You'd need your laptop and other things. And so on, but damn, you're pretty tired. You can't say that seeing Wily again was at all unpleasant despite his villainy, but it was still a bit of a surreal experience and you're still processing it all. You finish your drink.
“Shadow Man mentioned amenities to me, and I'd like to make use of them. It's been a long day and I am tired."
“I wore you out?” he teased. Your eyes widen a bit at that and you fight back the blush that you feel creeping up your neck at the unintended mental image. Or was it unintended on his part?
The rooms you're given are quite nice. A touch bland, like a hotel suite, but luxurious nonetheless with a bedroom, bathroom, and living area. It seems like there's room for personalization but you're going to wait to see how things go because this is just an employer-provided accommodation, after all. And, there are plenty of bookshelves! That's what's more important to you, after all. You're a nerd, and Wily knows that since he's one, too.
A fair amount of the color scheme is done in black and white, but you notice the bedspread and the cushions on the couch, along with a couple of other things, are in your favorite colors.
Holy shit. He remembered?
You’d been working in the lab as part of his seminar, and he’d talked about this or that with you before the subject wound its way to favorite colors, and you told him you had two because you never could decide which one you liked better, it depended on your mood. You were sure he’d forgotten that bit of trivia before the day was over, but he held onto that for years.
You turn around, looking at the room. Shadow Man, who had led you here, stands there, observing you quietly.
“I’ll need my stuff. Clothes, computer, you know…” You wave your hand through the air in a vague gesture.
“It will all be taken care of, and if you wish to have anything else obtained, I am at your disposal.”
You are left alone, and you sit on the edge of the bed, looking down at its spread. He remembered your favorite colors. Wow. Dare you hope that he brought you here for more than professional reasons?
o0o
Instead of Shadow Man, it’s another Robot Master that greets you in the morning when you finally roll out of bed after spending a bit of time the night before surfing the streaming services on the large flatscreen that was provided for you in the living area. Your phone won’t work out here, and you’re going to need the password. You’d forgotten to ask him for it last night and hadn’t been sure if it’d be a good idea to bother him. You can imagine him making a sarcastic remark about how he thought you were tired, and now you’re going to spend all night surfing the Internet. But, whatever. You’re not his prisoner, are you? All things in due time, so you fall asleep watching a show you’d heard much about.
This robot is themed like a bat, with the wings and ears and all. He’s kind of handsome, like Shadow Man. You offer him a tentative smile.
“Good morning, Dr. Lastname. I’m Shade Man. Dr. Wily asked me to bring you this, and to meet him in the main lab in half an hour.” He offers you a set of scrubs, but instead of the usual muted color one would see in the lab, this set is black with a skull print on it. You raise your eyebrow, but not in distaste. It reminds you of the nurses or health care aides you’ve seen with cute prints, like Hello Kitty or superhero-themed scrubs.
It's a comfortable fit, and he leads the way since one could easily get lost in this complex. Before you're put to work, you're given a good breakfast. This time though, you're offered a more Western-style meal, with eggs and toast among a few other things.
When you're asked if you need anything, you bring up needing a password. He sits back with a small smirk.
“I was wondering when you would ask me that, and I will give you access to the network, but before you start work, I am sure that as a professional, you know to not share anything from this place.”
You might have been insulted by this, considering his criminal status. But he's still a scientist who wants to protect his work. And that brings you to something you'd been thinking about before you fell asleep. How will he be in regard to your work? You have a few Robot Master designs of your own, though you never had the chance to build any of them. Would he steal them?
Even if he would, it’s a bit late to say no, isn’t it? You’re on some island or jungle somewhere, and if he wants to stop you from leaving, he very well can. You try to not dwell on that too much.
“Absolutely," you say with a smile. You are a professional, after all. You've dealt with these sorts of agreements before – it's standard in the industry. So you get to work, and it's been a pretty good first day. You're hardly entry-level, so after a bit, Wily leaves your side to do some work of his own, and you sit there, fiddling with wires and other parts. Some roboticists focus solely on programming and blueprints, but you have plenty enough practical experience putting together hardware and you know how extremely important that is to a well-functioning robot.
After a while, Shade Man checks on you and informs you it’s almost time for lunch. As you walk beside him.
“I suppose you like this better than working in an amusement park?” you ask, having looked him up on the network. DWN-055, one of the robots stolen and modified by Wily and now a permanent member of his retinue.
He gives you a fanged smile and nods.
o0o0o0o
(Shade Man’s POV)
DWN-055 had started his life – if it could be called that back then – as an amusement park robot. His station was the haunted house and adjoining graveyard. Being modeled after a vampire, he had been designed to amuse the visitors to his area, playfully growling and hissing at them, or welcoming them to the haunted house with an accent that was modeled after vampires in cheesy Dracula movies.
The original version of what would become DWN-055 had been considered not scary enough, so he was sent back to his manufacturer for an upgrade. Rather than merely wiping the original set of personality and behavior parameters he had been assigned, the programmer had just shuttled that data to unused space on the motherboard, uploaded the new data, and the robot was sent back.
This new personality, complained some of the patrons, was too scary. He'd made some children cry. He remembered standing at the charging station, listening to the park employers complain about him. Somewhere along the way, during his existence as a robot that was created solely for the amusement of others, a spark of consciousness had formed, and now, as he listened to the humans, he felt annoyed.
He had started with a measure of autonomy, being able to choose from a wide variety of acceptable lines and dialogue to fit in his role at the haunted house, as well as limited power to give direction to the lesser robots, like the bats and skeleton-bots. He had been told to amuse the guests, and so he did. But that had not been enough for his owner, who wanted something scary, so he had his brain filled with a new set of personality data. He modified his behavior according to this new data, and that wasn't good enough, either. He had merely followed directions, performing to the best of his abilities, and the next day, he had tried to mix the two personalities, going for a combination of scary for the adults and funny, for the little ones. That seemed to work, at least for a while.
When he heard that he was going to have his memory completely wiped and installed with a new program, that spark of consciousness... of identity and self-awareness burst forth. He didn't want to... die, especially for something as trivial as someone's satisfaction over how he performed a task that in retrospect seemed inconsequential.
Then he was told that he would be entered into a robot fighting tournament. He had been kidnapped by the mysterious Mr. X who soon enough revealed his true self. Though the vampire-bot was not made part of the Sixth Numbers, the time he spent in Wily's lab taught him much. Though the doctor had not created him, he was still given the chance to become part of the family. He was made stronger, his flight capability increased, and given weapons and tools with which to defend himself. But there was one thing his adoptive father had not tampered with. His mind.
His personality remained intact, further developed by the resources he had access to in the lab. He had his own identity, and his father encouraged that. How could he be anything but loyal?
Even after he had used his Noise Crush on Wily to get him away from the White Nightmare, the old man, despite the anger he had felt at first, had allowed him to keep his weapon and upgraded it with additional abilities. The scientist deserved nothing less than absolute loyalty from his sons.
He glanced down at the woman walking beside him in the scrubs Wily assigned her. It surprised the vampire-bot to hear his savior and master express a desire to bring someone here. A former student did make sense. He hadn’t been here as long as some of the other Wily Numbers, but he had known the old man long enough to be certain that he had not made this decision lightly.
o0o0o0o
For all the Robot Masters he has – and all the company they can provide him – it seems like a human can fulfill something they can’t.
Not because of a personal failure on their part. You've met a fair amount of them during your work here. You could even say you've made friends with a few of them, and you've spent leisure time with this or that robot. You've learned a thing or two about making tea from Shadow Man and even started reading one of the texts on Japanese history and philosophy he recommended.
Wily asked you to meet him outside. You've been out a few times under the watch of a Robot Master – to ensure your safety, Wily says, and you're not about to argue – so you pull on the light boots and the jacket Shadow Man offers you. You see movement out of your eye, and Wily approaches you, looking quite dapper in mostly black with a dark gray jacket and a black beret on his head. He looked like a harmless man out for a walk in the city, and it reminded you a bit of how he looked in your college days.
The waves crash along the shoreline.
“So… what are we doing out here?" you ask. It's the first time he's walked with you outside. Occasionally you'll hear the hum of machinery from some part of the building.
“Much as keeping the mind sharp is important, the body also needs maintenance.” He sets off with steady steps, and you fall in pace. It’s hard to not be a wee bit jealous of the fact that Wily has a damn island to himself and an army of bots and Robot Masters to do his bidding. Yeah, much of it was obtained illegally, but you have to admit, he set himself up a pretty sweet crib, so to speak.
“I know that my... views are not welcomed by this world.” your mentor/boss continued. “But medicine is often bitter and people must be forced to swallow it.”
That statement has proven itself in various examples in history in beneficial or horrifying ways, depending on the flip of the coin of fate, or the whims of man. Usually a combination of the two.
“History is full of the mistakes of humanity. We have the chance for something better, but humans would rather use robots to make their lives easier!”
Well, there was no arguing with that when you looked at how robotics and technology were applied in today's world. Sure, some robots kept people safe by doing dangerous jobs, but as robotics technology had advanced, so had its use spread, and for more mundane or vain uses. And of course, its potential for destruction. Your resume was a testament to that.
“Fire made the lives of humans easier, but also better.”
“There are different ways to utilize fire – or anything else. I choose to utilize my tools to their best, including this.” He tapped his temple with his index finger. For a moment you wonder what would happen if he passed. You hope there’s a plan set for his Robot Masters because damn it, you’ve come to really like some of them and wouldn’t want to see them in the hands of governments that admittedly had at least some reason to be angry with Wily.
You can't deny that in his way, Wily has done some good. There's been serious debate about robotics and free will, and the treatment of Robot Master-level bots, and such. New laws have been enacted since Wily's first criminal offense. You've worked with various levels of AI, instinctively knowing that this technology and others that go hand in hand with it will impact the future in as yet unforeseen ways.

ACT ONE - PART ONE
in reading homestuck again im going to try my best to analyse it to my fullest potential ; while i definitely like to enjoy homestuck Casually i think that doesnt necessarily mean i need to abandon fullblown analysis . i can acknowledge Hard Canon and The Implications in the same way i can acknowledge silly stuff + how im usually going to write characters . something something you have to know the rules to break them . thisll be half rambling half ( poor ) attempts at analysis and a bit of me going Hehe joke funny also i will use the characterses canon names and pronouns for simplicity + i feel its most suited . the exception is tavros because i have tried to not she/her tavros before and it was difficult and Painful i would never do that to her ... anyway .
[…] My intent was always to make the start date a very significant number in the story, recurring frequently. Consequently, I decided to make him thirteen years old, thus making the story about four thirteen-year-old kids. There are more references to this number than can be mentioned casually, some of which are serendipitous. Playing cards, which have a good deal of relevance later, are comprised of four suits of thirteen cards each, for instance.
(page 1 author commentary)
i wont point out every case of 413 occurring but i will point out cases i find particularly interesting or fun :o) the suit of cards thing isnt something i picked up on at first but thats interesting to know ! on page two john is incorrectly named ' zoosmell pooplord ' . zoosmell being a reference to an older comic ( series of comics ? ) of hussies . i read it to see if theres anything of value i can find in there ; even in the silliest and least plot driven media you can find some sort of significance to an authors later work . maybe an idea , a character archetype , or just the plot structure . zoosmells holds no value at all and is stupid though so
im not sure if i talk about it much but i do really like how each main characterses room is in homestuck . not only are they typically really good at getting across a characters basic interests but early on with the beta kids they really sold the whole ' webcomic pretending to be a game ( that is actually a game pretending to be a webcomic ) ' thing . the simplicity of it all , the items of interest scattered around in sometimes nonsensical places , even shit like how the walls are drawn just gives the impression of a guy who you can walk around and play as . and you can ! eventually .
Your name is JOHN. As was previously mentioned it is your BIRTHDAY. A number of CAKES are scattered about your room. You have a variety of INTERESTS. You have a passion for REALLY TERRIBLE MOVIES. You like to program computers but you are NOT VERY GOOD AT IT. You have a fondness for PARANORMAL LORE, and are an aspiring AMATEUR MAGICIAN. You also like to play GAMES sometimes. What will you do?
(page 4) time for analysing interests . while characterses interests definitely dont mean NOTHING in the greater scheme of things theyre probably not as important as most other shit . i find them fun to look into , though :o3
really terrible movies - i need to actually watch these , and i plan to ! im not much of a movie guy unfortunately . i dont think theyll be the end all be all of john analysis but i doubt theyll hold NO value . apparently theyre quite shit but i willing watch the big bang theory so i think ill be fine programming computers - john is the ' player character ' in a story that is currently quite programming-joke-heavy . the fact that hes kind of dogshit at it adds to this . guy doesnt know what hes doing yet and neither do you ! simple enough . paranormal lore - johns interest in ghosts is relatively significant but id consider it more ' iconic ' . the guy likes ghostbusters , his tshirt is a knockoff slimer , etc. i think all of the kids have one of these . it doesnt matter much in the greater scheme of things but i think its cool to see what interest a character is sort of built off of even if it gets overshadowed by other shit quickly ameteur magician - im a little lost on this one honestly . it can kind of go hand in hand with pranks i guess ? maybe theres something worth looking into with regards to characters and their relationship with magic . john seems to specifically focus on magic tricks which is opposed to roses interest in Real Fucking Magic . probably not though thats stupid
on page six is a rare appearence of the cursor . its a remnant from the homestuck beta where every panel was going to be a flash panel . it was ditched for good reason
its also one of the most blatant parts of the video game feel of early homestuck . thats a reader input interacting with a fictional world ! thats all there really is to say on it though i just thought it was neat
biggest plot twist in fucking history
You stow the SMOKE PELLETS on one of your CAPTCHALOGUE CARDS in your SYLLADEX.
(page 9)
i love sylladexes . johns is obviously based off a stack data structure . john rose and dave all have data structure inspsired moduses which i appreciate but i kind of like the silly ones that come into play later on too !!! like all of jades . unfortunate that they get dropped almost entirely eventually :o(
i should give characters that dont get one them . theyre pretty awesome i think
John: Examine Problem Sleuth Poster.
PROBLEM SLEUTH MENTION !!!!!!!!!!!
John: Read note on drawer. This note is rich with the aromas of FATHERLY AFTERSHAVES AND COLOGNES.
(page 12)
i made a seperate post awhile back on how dadbert is a sort of symbol of masculinity of fatherhood of manhood etc etc and more specifically how this interacts with reading jeggbert as transfem or otherwise Not A Dude . i still think that holds some decent value
In any case, you now feel like you have gathered enough things to get down to business and do some really important stuff. The next thing you do will probably be exceptionally meaningful. John: Squawk like an imbecile and shit on your desk.
(page 15)
snrk . anyway , since it reminded me : regarding analysis that strongly take timelines into consideration when i look at a lot of homestuck character analysis i see a lot of people try and make a point of ' oh the homestuck characters dont actually HAVE these specific character traits because in ANOTHER TIMELINE they did so and so ' and while i get that , timelines are interesting as a concept and its fun to think about , it doesnt exactly have a place in character analysis . homestuck is ultimately a story and the characters are less like people and moreso tools to tell that story . this is simple shit i am well aware i am not acting like what i am saying is revolutionary but it does lead to people losing the plot a little ( literally lol ) but like .. character a doing something instead of character b or character c sparing character d or whatever blah blah blah . did these all happen ? yeah sure probably . hell you can explore that in an au and ill probably go ' woah , cool ! ' because again its fun to think about . but it doesnt matter .. homestuck tells a story and while it focuses on multiple timelines . just because john took a shit on his desk in one timeline doesnt mean i need to be factoring in ' probably took a shit on his desk at least once ' to how i write him as a character . he would not fucking do that because he does not do that in homestuck . go and write your shit-on-desk-taker!john au but it has no place in canon analysis and you dont really need to think about it all that much
typheus is a wind god etc etc basic observation . i would really like to read more on the denizens and what gods theyre inspired by but the sources i find are really long and hard to parse .. ill have to look at other peopleses analysis if i want to understand anything i will be honest
on page 25 is the first pesterlog to appear in homestuck , between john and some loser nobody cares about . in a post i unfortunately dont have the link to , said loser is compared to a sort of tutorial character for early homestuck , similarly to johns status as the player character . obviously as homestuck goes on more characters become ' playable ' , as in you see the story through their perspective . but its a pretty neat observation for the early comic !
TG: but who cares about this lets stop talking about it TG: did you get the beta yet EB: no. EB: did you? TG: man i got two copies already [...] TG: why dont you go check your mail maybe its there now EB: alright.
(page 26)
^ classic tutorial conversation . go do your objective !!! your first quest !!!!
[...] The red flippy-lever thing means you have new mail. And that means the beta might be here!
(page 28)
FACT CHECK : this is false === SHITTY ASCII 'BANNER' THAT OF WE ARE DONE HERE ===
anyway it is day two of me working on twenty eight fucking pages and it just hit midnight which means i am going to play miitopia . this is likely going to be one of the shorter posts but i hope i get less rambly as i go on so i can read more than an average of fourteen pages a day jesus fucking christ . Anyway

DAILY PRIDE MONTH DOODLES #25 - useless witches
ok so like this is my favorite illustration of all the entries i did this month. first off, it's because i was able to draw something intentionally cute! do you know how hard it is for me to draw simple and cute stuff???
second of all. witches. hello???
anyway, the backstory here my justification for how this fits into the whole bkdk kissing thing is that fembkdk witches are scared of cats, despite being witches. one night, while they were smooching away, a bunch of cats tried to befriend them and scared the CRAP outta them!
i definitely will want to draw them again (even thinking about making this a print or stickers because i like this pic that much), so don't worry about not seeing these two again! especially because i spent at least half an hour designing their witch outfits asdfasdfs AND because i struggled SOOOOOO hard trying to draw this picture in procreate >.> (my least favorite of all the programs i use lol)
fun fact: this day was originally going to be a yurikuma arashi reference! but... as i mentioned in the previous post, i was kinda burnt out and wasn't into the idea. but then that night, i played calico which really put me in the mood for cats and magical girls! so... thank calico for this cute af witchy pic!
anywhoo, as always, if you enjoyed this, let me know by reblogging (with notes? 👀👀👀) and/or tipping me at my ko-fi! bribe me to get that fic out sooner (or for that spicy wolf!kacchan bkdk doujinshi >:)) OOOORRRR you can buy my already published comics here :DDD

The Conway Update
Hi! I occasionally post simulations involving Conway's Game of Life. Each of these are followed up by some curly brackets with some stuff inside em. What do these mean? Lets break them down with an example:
{50x50, 100, 0.4, "Hi!345"}
The first and second terms are simple. Term 1 is just the grid size in [X, Y] form. The second term is just the number of frames are in the gif.
The next term (0.4) is used to scale the initial density of the simulation. 1.0 is an entirely full screen, and 0.0 is an entirely empty screen.
What about that last part? The "Hi!345"? Simple! it's the seed for the board. For my program, i used seeded randomization, that way if i for any reason want to see a board again, i can! Additionally sometimes it's funny to see what result a string will produce!
If you ever want to see a specific simulation be sure to send an ask! When sending the ask, you can assume the defaults values going to be:
{50x50, 100, 0.3, ""}
An ask should at the very least request a seed, however if you want specifics for any of the other values please just be sure to say them!
Hope y'all enjoy the simulations!

Brain Curd #117
Brain Curds are lightly edited flash fiction - practically first drafts - posted daily (haven't missed one yet!) and sometimes written with the express intention of being terrible… but, you know, in an endearing way. Please like and reblog if you enjoy - the notes keep me going!
He's gonna be Frank with you. Read the rest of The Frank Program here on Tumblr!
“Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, this is The Frank Program. I’m Frank -”
“- and I’m Big Mike. Today’s guest is the most popular streamer on all of Twitch.TV, here in the studio we have Mr. Hellspawn!”
“How’s it going?” Hellspawn spoke softly into his microphone.
“Uh…” Frank shuffled through his notes, which Mike had prepared for him. “Wasn’t I supposed to ask you that?”
Mike patted him on the back. “Don’t worry about that, Frankie. Anyway, Mr. Hellspawn, why don’t you tell us a little about what you do for the listeners who aren’t aware?”
“Sure thing, Mike. My job is a little hard to explain, but I’ll start at the beginning. When I first started streaming, the hot thing to do was to play videogames. People want to see other people play games because it’s a social activity, at least originally, but on Twitch, it’s different. We don’t really know each other, we’re not really friends, but instead it’s more like a substitute for that. That’s why I really blew up about four years ago. Everyone was stuck inside, nowhere to go, nothing to do. They wanted some company.”
“So, uh, what makes you special, then?” Frank asked.
“If you ask me, I think I just got lucky. But I guess people liked my specific way of interacting with the audience. I’d say, ‘chat, help me out here, should I go down this tunnel or cross this bridge?’ and, you know, they’d vote on it basically.”
“That doesn’t seem so hard to understand.”
“Sure, but now it’s a little different. Instead of mostly playing games and talking to the audience here and there, people seem not to want me to play games so much anymore. I always give them the option, but whenever I put it up to a vote, my subs just want to see me doing normal everyday stuff. I’ve got cameras set up all over my house. Game room, kitchen, bedroom…”
“Bedroom?”
“Some of my fans pay for a little extra, if you catch my drift.”
Frank’s eyes popped wide open. “You’re a prostitute?!?”
“Hey, hey, hey…” Mike chuckled nervously. “How about we don’t go there, Frank?”
Frank was indignant. “It’s a simple question!”
“Yeah, no, that’s fine, guys. It’s basically an after-dark stream that costs money to watch. I don’t have sex with anyone for money.”
Frank glared at Mike. “See? It was a good question!”
“I only get a little naked. A little. But more people like to watch me cook and just chat about life. It’s kind of meditative for me, you know? I’ve got my Hell Squad over for dinner every night. And they’re happy to send me money to keep the whole thing going. I haven’t worked a traditional job since 2019, so I can spend all my time on this. Five days a week, dawn to dusk.”
“So, tell me Mr. Hellspawn, where did you come up with that name?”
“Not a lot of people know this, but I’ve had that name since kindergarten. I was a real troublemaker as a kid, and my father would always call me Mr. Hellspawn whenever I did anything he didn’t like. I don’t really talk to him anymore, but that name has stuck with me. I wear it as a badge of honor. Barely anyone in my life calls me by my legal name… which I guess he also gave me.”
Frank looked over at the empty corner. “You… don’t talk to your father anymore?”
“No, not at all. We were never very close at the best of times. He kicked me out when I was fifteen and we haven’t spoken since.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“It doesn’t really bother me anymore, to be honest. He used to haunt my dreams, but… Now, I don’t think I can even remember his face.”
Frank’s hands shook. He gripped the microphone stand to keep them stationary.
Mike cleared his throat to break the dead air. “What are some of your favorite moments from your livestream?”
Hellspawn chuckled. “I think that might be when I tried making veal schnitzel from scratch. I ended up breading my hand by mistake, and the chat just kept saying, ‘glove hand! Glove hand!’ It’s become one of many inside jokes with my community.”
“And how was the schnitzel?”
“Oh, it was terrible. I had no idea what I was doing. It was like a piece of shoe leather with burnt grease on the outside. I had to order takeout.”
Frank breathed heavily. “I have to go.”
Mike was confused. “Buddy, we just got started! Do you always end your shows early?”
“I just… I can’t…”
“We can take a break -”
“No, no, no! I need to get out of here!”
“Fine! I’ll finish the damn show. I’m doing most of the work anyway. Do your closing line before you leave.”
“I… I’ve been The Frank Program. Thank you - Thank you for letting me be…” he made eye contact with Hellspawn and panicked. He quickly ran out of the studio and slammed the door.

Favorite Programs of 2023/2024 - Women's SP
I'm debating calling it a good year. There's actually a lot of programs on that list but would i call them masterpieces ? Not really, at least not all of them. While all these programs are good they're not groundbreaking. I feel like most of the field spent the season honing in their particular brand, or aesthetic, not doing that much of exploring with some exceptions.
Honorable mentions
Clare Seo (Simple Gifts) - NOT a Quaker song, thank you very much but a Shaker song (it's another Christian sect tho). I like it very much. I like the music, and Clare has gorgeous posture and musicality. It's very much Americana but I found it fresh.
Mao Shimada (Americano) - costume is the cutest thing. It's chock full of delightful moments and transitions. Looses points because the step sequence has imho too much of two-foot skating and stop-and-pause moments, but that's a recurring problem with Kaitlyn Weaver's choreo.
Seoyeong Wi (Pride and Prejudice) - perfect packaging for a young debuting skater and I'm surprised it's not picked more often.
Rino Matsuike (One Day I'll Fly Away) - One day Rino will choose music that is not a warhorse. Meanwhile I'll enjoy arguably the best skating skills of the field.
9th - Yu-Feng Tsai - Copycat, by Billie Eilish, choreo by Jun-Fei Ren
Arguably the best choreo in the junior field. Fun. Sassy. Unlike anything else seen this season. Okay, yes it was Billie Eilish but it was a song that's not usually picked, it was fresh and it was good.
8th - Niina Petrokina - Run, by Marvin Brooks, choreo by Mark Pillay
I liked her previous SP better, and I'm not that fond of the music but Niina wins this by sheer commitment to the performance. One of the skaters where the whole body is involved, especially during the step sequence. That's what the GOE bullets are supposed to reward.
7th - Young You - Otono Porteno, by Astor Piazzolla, choreo by Tom Dickson.
The attitude, the sass, the steps, THAT SPLIT JUMP. She did the right thing bringing it back.
6th - Haein Lee - Seirenes, by Christopher Tin, choreo by Lori Nichols and Carolina Kostner
First rule we should live by after this season : whenever Carolina and Lori are involved, they strike gold. Happened to Yuma, happened to Haein. Seirenes is eerie, moody and a very good vehicle for Haein. She had us worried for a moment but did the right thing bringing it back.
5th - Jia Shin - Fascination, by Fermo Marchetti, choreo by David Wilson
I never really got Jia until this season. This is I think her first program that made me go : "okay. I see now why other fans are obsessed with her skating. I get it". If you asked me, I would stop giving Jia twee instrumental pieces and moody ballads and give her waltzes, more classical pieces. Jia has the musicality to keep up those kinds of tempi. She has the lines to express that kind of music. She has the flow to match the rythm. The transitions in and out of her 2A ? Stuff dreams are made of.
With Fascination, I love the music, I love Jia in it, I love watching her hitting those notes, I love her inside edge Ina Bauer during her step sequence... I'm a new fan.
4th - Hana Yoshida - Koo Koo Fun, by Lazer Disk, choreo by Kaitlyn Weaver
I'm fascinated with the way Hana picks her programs because her choices are immaculate. For two seasons straight, down to her gala programs, Hana has picked bangers after bangers. Koo Koo Fun is outside the box, funny, stands out musically, the choreo is quirky...
Doesn't make it straight to the top because every time she skated to it, I found Hana a little bit too stiff for the vibe the program requires. She needs to skate with more abandon and fun and that will only come with experience. Her mind is already there, her body needs to follow.
3rd - Yelim Kim - Ladies in Lavender, by Nigel Hess, choreo by Jeffrey Buttle
I don't remember who on this website said that Yelim's skating makes them believe in a better world, but I do agree. There's something healing in her skating. Right now there's no skater in the field that can match the elegance and quiet dignity of Yelim's skating.
2nd - Loena Hendrickx - I'm Ninalu, by Mors Avraham, choreo by Adam Solya
Loena at her very best and when she's on she pisses everywhere on the stage. I honestly don't get the complaints about doing too much party programs. As long as she serves it as hard as she does, she can take us to the club anytime she wants. I don't care about versatility if a skater has found a niche they do extremely well.
1st - Kaori Sakamoto - Baby God Bless You, by Shinya Kyozuka, choreo by Jeffrey Buttle
Forget what i just said. Kaori wins it but virtue of trying and succeeding in bringing in a new style. The concept is cute. Skating to the string version is the superior choice, as the music is more climatic than with the piano version. And the step sequence shows how above the field Kaori is right now.

Last Movie Watched: I made an attempt at a group watch of the Scott Pilgrim movie with a friend but had to stop due to technical issues
Last TV Show: oh I haven't watched anything in ages unless someone else put it on. I went to a Buffy the Vampire Slayer trivia night at a bar earlier this month. My team came in third-to-last
Last Book Finished: Nona the Ninth
Last Book Abandoned: I swear I haven't abandoned House of Leaves, I'm going to finish it someday. eventually.
Last Thing Researched for Art: setting aside the multiple tabs of "how do I really do this thing my programming class wants me to do on the kind of computer I have" searches, probably some law stuff for a thing I'm writing where a character gets into legal trouble
Least Favorite Online Fandom Moments: that would be the discord server drama earlier this year involving some abusive shit a BNF directed at me. To echo and paraphrase what Keys said, it's just abuse culture all the time.
Favorite Old Fandom I Wish Had a Resurgence: tbh I don't really need fandom to enjoy things, so, none.
Favorite Thing That I Enjoy: Ask me when I'm not in a depression hole; working a shift schedule where I go to work at sunset has seriously messed with my ability to enjoy things lately.
Tempting Project That I Don't Have Time to Finish: I kinda want to refactor a simple game I implemented ages ago to teach myself to code with better object-oriented practices
