HOW TO USE MOZILLA ADD-ONS ON YOUR PHONE

if you already use firefox on android, you'll know there are certain add-ons compatible with the app, some of them even being made just for the mobile version such as Video Background Play FIx. while most of them are pretty useful, some more specific ones aren't available on this version of the browser, but there's a way of getting some of them to work

you need to download the firefox nightly app, which is basically the same as the regular firefox browser but with the ability of activating developer mode. you can find how to do that here. once you've enabled it, you need to create a collection with all the add ons you want. i wouldn't recommend adding extensions if the creators haven't talked about phone compatibility, but XKit and Shinigami Eyes should work

also, don't tell the government this secret skater move, but you can try using both the regular firefox browser and nightly so you can have youtube videos in a floating box while you browse social media.

on my brain for a very long time has been advertisements. Something about ads that stick in my brain ever since I came across this little thing from Lichess.

In due time, unfortunately this post will become a bit hypocritical, as we will eventually publish FNF onto mobile, and that will very likely have a free ad supported version. Hopefully that doesn't undermine my thoughts too much, however FNF is more than just me and my brain! Not everything I say goes in terms of FNF decisions! So with all that being said, let me begin shouting about everything I hate about ads.

I use adblocker on everything, and you should too. UBlock Origin has been my reliable go to. Online ads are especially an insidious breed. I'll try not to be some tinfoil hat, but I do often wonder what the internet would look like if the online ad model *wasn't* fruitful back in the early days of the internet. Would Facebook, Google, etc. have an arms race to the bottom to get infinite amounts of data on every single person ever? Would social media algorithms optimize for a different experience other than *spend as much time as possible on our site*? Ads have existed before Youtube, Google, internet though. They exist on TV, on subways and buses, on radio, in newspapers. I think for the most part my deep hatred of ads is for online kind, I do think there can be "irl" ads that I find very unpleasant. Going on a subway or sitting at a bus stop, I think people deserve more dignity from their city public transit than to have something sold to them! I don't think an ad free life should be only reserved for those who can pay for spotify premium, youtube red, etc. I think everyone should be entitled to that DIGNITY.

X (the everything app, formerly Twitter ) has a Premium subscription that costs 10$/month (CAD), and they will only give you *half* the ads in your feed. How generous of them. I will be dramatic, and say that I look at ads with disgust. I hope to think I'm somewhat justified, as most ads look like dogshit, and are pretty worthless.

For a very long time (and currently, as of writing/posting) FNF has been entirely ad free. We did stand up to putting it on other web portals that offer ads and ad payments/rev share, because we do somewhat want to be part of the change we'd like to see in the world. We want to believe in a world where someone can put out a free game on itch/newgrounds, and have the development be supported purely off donations (which FNF was supported by that in the early days / first 6 months of development!). We definitely could have made much MUCH more money if we put FNF on websites that offer ad rev share, but we didn't, and I hope that doesn't fall on deaf ears.

However we do promote our own things from within the game, Kickstarter, merch, etc. I suppose I'm less upset or even thinking about that, I think there's a big difference if we had a lil Kickstarter trailer in-game that played, opposed to having an in-game advertisement for some fuckass mobile game or some cosmetics or somethin. We specifically are still curating what we are putting in the game with our lil links to merch, kickstarter, etc.

We also provide the soundtrack on Spotify / streaming services, which do indeed get money from ads. I think I'm so detatched from Spotify ads and being angry at them, since I've been spotify premium user even at the brokest poorest in my life... i need them album downloads!!! I do think that's an aspect where there is an adfree alternative, which is Bandcmap, where you can listen to the FNF OST as much as you want, and if you pay some coin, you can download it in high quality!

My thoughts on FNF mobile with ads is that they will make me very unhappy and deeply sad. I do sincerely apologize to those of you who would be unable to play FNF on anything other than a mobile device, and aren't able to get the full mobile version, so you become punished with ads. We do hope to not be obnoxious with mobile ads. If you have a computer, even a shitty busted one that runs slow, I personally hope you end up compiling the mobile version yourself to get past ads. The thought of that lets me rest easier just a little bit. The FNF will be proudly open source forever.

There will also be a paid version of FNF mobile, that will have no ads. Pay for that one if you please.

hi, in one of your garden post tags, you say you have mixed feelings about tallamy. would you be willing to go into that?

Ohhhh man I've been holding onto this great ask because I wanted to be able to pull receipts and really give a good response, but it keeps chewing on my brain, so let's bang something out.

Pretty much everyone in my Master Gardeners program, from the regular volunteers to some of the PhD-holding teachers, seems to think he's great. He's in my region, so honestly some of them have probably met or worked with him. On the other hand, when I read Nature's Best Hope, a few things itched my brain along the way and overall I was left underwhelmed. And I do know a prairie restorationist here on Tumblr (whom I won't tag so they don't have to get angry about bullshit) who really hates him, I think principally because he's so focused on small individual action? which won't really do much to save prairies, tbh.

For those who aren't familiar, Douglas Tallamy is a professor of entomology and wildlife ecology at University of Delaware. He wrote assorted scholarly stuff, but really came to wider attention with his books Bringing Nature Home and Nature's Best Hope, books written (more or less; more on that later) for the layman.

His central thesis is that, essentially, we (the US; this is all VERY US-centric) have built over and privatized so much of the land here that our ecosystems cannot survive without us shifting to deliberately using private land to build wildlife habitat. He suggests that nature preserves, no matter how large, will never be large enough if we don't support them on private land.

On the other hand, he brings together some encouraging data to suggest that even small, relatively isolated patches of native plants and habitat can contribute significantly to the welfare of more mobile species like insects and birds. The idea he's most famous for is the Homegrown National Park, a proposed network of public parks, home properties, and thoughtfully landscaped commercial properties that would, in theory, create large interconnected areas of habitat for native species, based on deliberate planting of native plants.

And I think that's great! I think that's a great premise. I have no problem with the basic ideas. Nor have I seen anyone criticize his actual research or its interpretations. Entomology, and insect interactions within the food web, seem to be his focus, and so far as I know his methods are pretty rigorous and his data not in question.

It was his attitude and his writing I didn't love. I think the problem stands out most strongly in contrast with, say, Robin Kimmerer's work and her book, Braiding Sweetgrass, which is essentially a series of autobiographical stories highlighting the positive ways in which humans can interact with their environment. Kimmerer is a member of the Potawatomi nation and herself a highly respected botanist, and she brings a very different indigenous perspective to her work, wherein humans are a part of nature and can be its partner. Tallamy's writing is constantly studded with his own guilt over human destruction of nature, and I think it harms both his writing and his attempt to appeal to a broader audience.

I don't have the time to find specific quotes, alas, but Tallamy straight-up talks about North American indigenous people as if they no longer exist, and also completely ignores the relationship they had with the land. It was extremely jarring to me as I read, and I'm shocked I'm not better able to find people talking about it online tbh. More than that, he virtually ignores that native peoples ever DID exist, referring to the North America that Europeans discovered as "untrammeled wilderness" (wildly untrue and embarrassingly dated from a scholarly point of view) and talks about westward expansion and the slaughter of the bison without once mentioning the indigenous peoples. He espouses a pretty troubling view of humans as locked in a millenia-old inherent struggle against nature that is just....eecccchhhhhh no please.

Then he turns right around and spends an entire chapter (very weirdly and awkwardly, I thought) fanboying over a succession of (mostly white male) ecologists over the last century. And though he doesn't say so, cumulatively the effect is to put him in this lineage of white male saviors who continuously expand our cultural idea of what it means to save the ecosystems around us. It's...iffy.

Beyond that, the central premise wasn't super new to me, which left me reading the book with more of an eye to presentation and writing, and that was a little all over the place. Besides being bogged down in his guilt, his prose was also hampered by a lack of clarity of purpose. Sometimes he seemed to be appealing to his fellow scholars, other times to homeowners and laypeople. The two audiences don't really need the same information, and I didn't think the passages pleading with scholars added much to the writing's strength as a general audiences book. Sometimes it even came off as...how do I say this nicely? A little uncomfortably desperate. I understand the desperation! But I think it negatively impacted the writing.

And lastly, I feel he wrote with a heavy focus on his own ecoregion, without ever acknowledging that he was doing so. This worked out for me, because we're in the same ecoregion and only a couple hours apart geographically, but I think it would have been very annoying for, say, someone in New Mexico, whom he was ostensibly also addressing, but with almost no attention to their actual ecological circumstances. I think writing for your own region is great! We need to do so! But doing so without acknowledging it just makes you look shortsighted.

All that said, I am glad I read Nature's Best Hope, and it did have a couple lessons for me that I've taken forward.

One, I really liked the idea that in the future, ownership of land will come with an expectation that you will care for that land in a way that supports its "ecosystem services". Those being things like cycling water, producing and maintaining fresh air, nutrient cycling, etc. That just like, say, recycling cans, there will be a cultural expectation that you don't landscape in a way that pollutes your area with insecticides or directs a lot of rainwater runoff into the road. Honestly, in my home state of Maryland, there are beginnings of that. Farmers are pretty strictly regulated with an eye to reducing pesticide and fertilizer runoff and soil erosion, because of concern for the health of the Chesapeake Bay. There are programs and incentives for solar power, riparian reforestation, and other ecological initiatives. So it doesn't seem impossible, and it does seem logical.

Two, I needed the reminder that in order to fully support insect life, and thus the species that depend on insects, we can't just provide pretty pollen plants. Those of us with the means to do so need to provide habitat for the entire life cycle, which means leaving leaves and dead flower stems over winter, providing rotting wood, keeping clean water available, etc. Again, because I live in the same environment as Tallamy, his specific suggestions were helpful.

So yeah...there it is. I'm sure much more could be said, but not by me, or at least not today. Tallamy. Kind of a mixed bag tbh.

Q: What's this blog about?

A: Despite what Tumblr seems to want everyone to think, I am not a twewy blog anymore. I haven't been for a while. This blog is a mixture of things that interest me, and those follow a general trend. I'm into alternative music and related subcultures, 90s & 2000s alt fashion, web 1.0, video games, horror media, and cool edgy graphics. I post about politics every now and again if something catches my attention, but most of my anarchy is done in person, not online. As a rule I don't reblog e-begging or guilt trip posts (e.g. "I don't care what your blog theme is just rb!!!" "If you don't reblog you're horrible!!") because I believe in at least trying to separate my chill online life from my day job.

Q: What kind of alt music do you like?

A: I listen to a lot of classic punk, 90s punk revival, grunge, riot grrrl, emo rock and nu metal, with a bit of death metal and heavy metal.

A: I call myself an emo and a punk. I'm not goth, though I've been a fan of the odd goth song here and there.

A: Action-adventure games with a focus on story have historically been my favorites, especially if they have edgy graphics and music, but I'm willing to try most genres as long as they're on consoles I own. im pretty sure on the web side of things not using the app or mobile you can't submit asks or anything similar from a custom blog url - this has happened to me for years only on custom urls, and i am very much logged in. you also can't use navigate to dash or view a post on dash from custom urls since it hides the tumblr toolbar and only shows a "log in/sign up" button. custom urls have functioned this way since people first started using them. its actually why i always hate and end up avoiding blogs with custom urls 😭 if im navigating their blog via desktop (my favourite way) i cannot reblog posts unless their theme is one of the ones that includes reblog buttons

I'm finally posting another update after I got a lovely comment and reread it. I think I'll keep it pretty Agents of SHIELD character lite until I can binge on season 1 again. But enjoy some Sherlolly with an unwelcome interruption by Mary and movement in the Moriarty plot!

Playing The Game: Act II – Knights & Knowledge, Romance & Regret - After tracking down Phil Coulson and his team, Molly and the others join him on their hunt for Grant Ward so that Molly can get retribution for Victoria’s death and Nat and Clint can further Fury’s assignment to help deal with all of the escapees from the Fridge. But as things get more complicated with the appearance of the Diviner and all the entails, Molly begins to wonder if she will ever get her end goal of Ward disappearing in a deep dark hole where no one can find him.

Molly woke up first, her mind blissfully silent for a change. She’d slept a dreamless sleep, which was nice, and Sherlock was holding her tightly against him when she woke up. She shut her eyes again and began plotting her day when she felt him stir. “You’re awake,” he murmured.

“Unfortunately,” she said with a smile. He loosened his grip and with a bit of maneuvering she turned to face him. He tightened his hold on her again and grinned as they were practically nose to nose with each other. “We have a lot to do today.”

“We do, but it can wait a bit,” he said. “Do you have regrets?”

“A few.”

“About us?”

“No. I mean, not completely. I’ve been in love with you for a long time. I just wish I hadn’t hurt Tom in the process of getting together with you. But regrets for what we have now? I have zero.”

“Good,” he said. “I worry when you get in your head, that you’ll send me back to London and get your retribution on your own. That you’ll do that and get injured, or killed, and I’ll never know. I’ll just keep hoping you come home.”

She pressed her lips against his softly for a moment, a kiss he returned, then pulled back and rested her forehead against his. “Where I go, you go. Where you go, I go. We’re in this together. You won’t disappear on me for another two years, and I won’t leave you behind while I take care of personal matters.”

“Marry me.”

She blinked. “What?”

“It doesn’t have to be right away. It can be years away, depending on how long this all takes, but when it’s over, marry me.”

She grinned a wide grin at him “I will. I promise.”

“Good.” He kissed her again and with the limited space on the cot there wasn’t much they could do carnally, but their kissing was interrupted by a knock on the door. Molly turned her head and saw as Mary came in.

“Oops. I’m interrupting something I probably don’t want to see,” Mary said with a grin.

“No, nothing of the sort,” Sherlock said with a sigh, letting got of Molly and siting up. “What is it?”

“I got a hit on activity in Moriarty’s web. Someone is looking for the deep, dark hole Mycroft stashed Lord Moran in. It’s something you should talk to your brother about, like, now.”

“Why?” Sherlock asked, frowning.

“Because the Lord Moran in imprisonment had a twin brother, Sebastian. He was kicked out of the family and sent to the States as a child. He’s ex-military and he’s bad news, but that’s all I could get out of my contact.”

“I’ll wake him up,” Sherlock said, getting off the cot. Molly followed, stretching for a moment before going to her clothes. Mary closed the door as she left and Sherlock went for his mobile and called his brother as Molly got dressed. “Does she ever sleep?” he asked.

“She probably hates sleeping alone, just like I do,” she said when she was finished getting dressed. She kissed Sherlock’s bare cheek and then went to the door. “I’ll get us breakfast.”

Sherlock nodded as his brother picked up, and she left him in peace to learn more about the history of Sebastian Moran. Finally, their target possibly had a name, if he was the man they were looking for.

What is a userscript?

Good question! The small sibling, who is a computer geek, did not know about these when I mentioned them, so I have to conclude I have stumbled upon some secret hidden wisdom here. In short, a userscript is a (free) program written in JavaScript that modifies the web pages you visit. They're very safe, and imo an essential part of customising your web browsing experience to your liking!

How do I install userscripts?

I might make a separate post about mobile browsers because I'm tired. But on desktop, you first want to get a browser extension that allows you to manage your userscripts. I like Tampermonkey, which works with most major browsers.

Okay, how do I get rid of the piped tags?

Once you've installed the userscript manager of your choice, you want to go to the userscript Ao3 De-Piped Tags on Greasy Fork and click the big green "install" button. For most userscripts, that's it! For this one, we need to take a couple of tiny extra steps:

Go to your Tampermonkey dashboard (you can find this by clicking on "browser extensions" and then "Tampermonkey". Unfortunately I don't know how other userscript managers work, so if you didn't choose Tampermonkey you'll have to play around a little.)

Click the "Ao3 De-Piped Tags" script on your Tampermonkey dashboard.

This should bring you to the "Editor" page, and a bunch of scary-looking code in JavaScript. Don't panic, I have no idea what any of this does and I still managed to do the necessary fiddling! The block you want looks like this:

so that the tag "Maedhros | Maitimo" displays as "Maedhros" instead. If you're a Quenya freak (affectionate) who would prefer all the tags display characters' Quenya names instead of Sindarin ones, skip this step.

5. If you'd also like this change to show on the fic page itself, not just the AO3 search results page, change the third line of the code block to read

6. Save your changes to the file, refresh your AO3 page, and marvel!

No problem, you can turn off the userscipt or completely uninstall it from the Tampermonkey dashboard!

I want to display some names with the left part of the piped tag and others with the right part, is that possible?

Unfortunately not :( This also applies if you're in other fandoms (I hear The Witcher fandom is one such?) which uses piped tags where you want to use the right side of the tag.

No! The userscript applies to your own browsing experience only, so you aren't messing with how anyone else's fics display when you use it.

Man, having insomnia fucking sucks.

Hello internet. Welcome back to yet another blog where I release the thoughts that are trapped inside this rather abnormal cranium of mine. Tonight, I write to you from a rather weird setting. Instead of me typing out my post in the middle of the evening from my rather impressive custom-built computer, I instead type to you from my iPad. It’s currently 3:40 in the morning on this cold December Friday, my partner sleeping soundly next to me.

At least, I think it is.

Honestly, I’m not really sure. Luckily, I broke out the quiet keyboard to type in bed.

Anyway,

I haven’t updated this blog in a while. I could lie and say that I’ve been working on other projects, but that wouldn’t be entirely true. I mean, I have been working on other stuff, but there’s been a lot less finishing projects and more starting and stopping. I mean, I’ve been working on a review script for Marmalade Is Missing for the last month and a half. I only have three or four paragraphs left to type, yet, every time I go to work on it, I tend to find myself in a sudden state of unease. Like, I’m perfectly aware that I shouldn’t fear my own creations getting out into the public. Hell, I started a blog back up on a website that I check maybe once a week. It’s really less my own views on my work and more worrying about how the world might react, if that makes any sense.

With the direction that America is going in, you can’t blame me for having these anxious thoughts about my projects. When my stuff hits the web, it isn’t going to be just me that’s going to have a small spotlight shining down on them, but also everyone affiliated with me. My partners, my alters, my friends, and anyone else that I bring on this project. Kameron Kazma’s Something Show is a project that I have somewhat ridiculously high hopes for, but I do truly believe that my work could bring the entertainment that the Internet deserves right now. I’ve been paying close attention to what’s being seen as comedic in today’s day and age. Very few people are trying to do anything original these days, most of the digital community diluting down to repost and “Loud Equals Funny” content. It almost feels like my devices have been infected with some kind of virus, one that ignores the fact that I frequently tap “Not Interested” on every piece of stolen content on TikTok so that it can force more down my throat.

Speaking of TikTok, that’s got social media on fire right now. From what I’ve seen, the TikTok Ban is still happening on January 19th of next year (2025 in case someone is reading this in the future.) Apparently ByteDance has already tried to file for an appeal to the court once, but it was quickly shot down. Word has it that the company is going to try again. I’m not going to hold my breath for too long though. If anything, I might still be able to access it on my computer whenever I want to post something. Only problem is that now I’ll have to start double editing all of my short form content so that I can still post it for both mobile users of TikTok and computer users of YouTube. Gotta keep that content flowing, ya know?

While I’m practically venting out the inner thoughts of my mind, that’s another thing that I need to maybe start worrying about now: the algorithm. I’ve always hated the idea of following treads to get a following. I’ve always been someone who likes the idea that I could make it BIG doing my own thing. I hate the idea of having to follow in the footsteps of someone else, but recent events make it seem as if I need to start paying a little more attention to what popular these days. This was already something that I was loosely aware of before, but I think I stopped taking notes when popular trends contained petty theft and purposely pissing people off to get cargo ships full of hate comments. (JelloApocolypse’s One Piece video is the best worst example of this.)

The least I could do is see what’s popular in a positive light and try to work that into my projects.

That is, of course, I get any of those projects done…

I might need to start hiring people to pester me into getting things done.

(Also, random side note, I’m listing to BRAINS! By Voltaire while I’m typing this and the gif above weirdly goes along with the song. I picked that gif, like, three or four songs back. Just a random thought.)

Alright, I’ve gotta get to bed. My partner just woke up cause its usual work alarm went off, but it has the day off. I might be in a bit of trouble in the morning for still being up at 4 A.M., so wish me luck! I’ll do my random color coding in the morning when I wake up (considering I either sleep or sit here until the sun rises.)

Announcement

I submitted this as a feedback ticket, but I have no faith left in Tumblr so this will likely be my sign-off.

The recent changes to both web and mobile have effectively rendered Tumblr unpalatable and borderline unusable. The "new" twitter-style interface for web is absolutely atrocious. Does not scale the UI with screen resolution so 60% of my screen is wasted. Even with all that wasted space, the activity and message popouts open OVER THE DASH. Have to continue to snooze the blatant data-theft tool that is Tumblr Live every seven days even though there is no chance I will EVER use it. New mobile lightbox finally got the fix to allow double-tap to zoom, but is still unusable because after you've zoomed in, if you accidentally scroll too far and start to swipe to the (absolutely useless and unwanted) "related content", then you can no longer single tap to hide the UI. So much for being able to read the text or see the details for which I needed to zoom in to begin with. All of these changes keep coming rapid fire while there is still little to no progress being made on things that users actually want: a usable search function, proactive action on bots, proactive action on hate speech. Also while all of this is going on, someone(s) in your moderation and review team is singling out trans women's posts/pictures as "mature content" regardless of how G-rated the actual content is. I'm in my second year of paying for ad-free. I'm not even halfway through the second year but I'm basically writing it off as a loss. I've set my queues to all run dry in about 7 days and then all my blogs will go silent. I'll check back in a week but my hope that ANYTHING will move in a positive direction is very low. I've been an account-holding Tumblr user for 9 years, and I was here just looking for a year or more before that. I came here to escape the toxicity of fan communities elsewhere and even though there's plenty of that here, it's so much easier to not see it with the chrono-dash, functional blocking tools, etc. Tumblr is the only "social media" I still use and if nothing changes then I guess I'll finally be free. I don't want to have to leave. I liked it here, but you have gone too far.

My queues will all run out in 7-8 days (probably 9 for @i-like-thing because I can't set the queue to more than 50 posts a day). If by some miracle this actually ends up getting a response from @staff and things improve, I might be back, but as I said, I have no faith left.

It's been a fun 9 years of colorful ponies, outer space adventures, cute animal friends, and assorted shitposting. Maybe I'll see you out there!

I came across that Another Thing For New Tumblr Users post you made back in July, and… I’d like to confirm, does the read-more tag really still redirect people to the original post on your blog, no matter how far in the reblog chain? This would be unimaginably handy for a post of mine, which I expect I’ll have to re-edit later on, but another friend told me it’s been patched out…

Happy New Year! And Well. It depends. Especially since things change all the time around here.

In the Legacy editor, the "Keep Reading" will usually force someone on desktop browser to the original blog post (unless one has a particular XKit extension). But with the new editor more prevalent, even in a browser without XKit, if I click on a "Keep Reading" link, it opens the rest of the post directly on my dash.

(I keep a login on MS Edge sans XKit for testing purposes)

In the mobile app however it takes me to the mobile version of my blog post itself, which doesn't use anyone's themes aside from color choices.

Now, this is just how people access the post; on the dash or on the blog directly. You can still edit it! I do all the time! Anything below the "Keep Reading" cut should show updated in reblogs...with caveats. I fixed a format error in a post I put up this morning, "Missing Scars". It was reblogged before that by a guildmate. The format correction does appear on mobile when I click on the "Keep Reading" there, as it takes the reader to my blog. But that same reblog on browser, where it just expands the cut on the dashboard, still shows the old format error.

Which is. Well, Tumblr sure is a Functional Webbed Site.

Might be a cache issue and the dash just has to "catch up", but I had to log in after not using Edge for awhile (cuz why would I normally).

Of course, clicking on the header to go to the post on the fakey dash-like version of my blog, or the timestamp in the meatballs menu to go to the actual blog and post itself (I really hate that non-intuitive change just go to my actual blog, Tumblr!) does show the edited format correction.

So. The "Keep Reading" cut will open the post on the dash, OR take one back to the original (maybe edited) post on one's blog, depending on the text editor used to make the post, whether or not you're on browser or the mobile app, and whether you use the "Keep Reading" link or take extra steps to look at the actual blog post.

And if the original post is gone, or the URL has changed, the "Keep Reading" will not work to take one back to the blog (as there's no longer a valid link), but whether or not it can still show that content on the dash I haven't tested yet, and may depend on the age of the post, which editor was used, etc, but the source is still gone.

Spidey is getting tired of running into these goons in goofy costumes, which I completely agree. Then his Spider-Mobile tries to kill him. He escapes and gets on a police car, then...

Spidey's last thought bubble really makes the scene, hahaha. The Spider-Mobile disappears though...

As always, I love these pages. Liz and Harry seem to get along well! That's nice to see.

I hope we get to see more secretaries, they're becoming a fun gag!

No, I'm not missing any zero. I saw him recently since I worked on my Peter Parker Objectification series of posts so that was fun to recognize him.

The Spider-Mobile saga has lasted, what, 2 years now? I think that was a good ending, since it was the star of the issue.

In #161, Nightcrawler is decided to attack our web-crawler! And not only him...

The Punisher hates seeing happy people. He's also dead set in making Peter's life harder! He's having a nice (if terrifying) date with MJ, and Harry and Liz are right behind their tails, having no lines, but loads of fun.

Aside from Peter's naturally pretty face, it's just heartwarming to see everyone be so happy :) And MJ keeps loving destabilized Peter. As do I, my dear MJ.

Suddenly, the Punisher shoots someone dead. He escapes before being seen, but Nightcrawler and Spidey arrive just on time to suspect each other. Interestingly, Nightcrawler wanted to take the weapon to the police, something we've never really seen Spidey do, as he usually directly hands the people to them.

Nightcrawler figures surprisingly quickly that with his powers, Spider-Man would have no use for a rifle. Usually, it takes longer than that!

The X-Man eventually vanishes, and Spidey seeks help from Robertson. Jameson discovers them and listens in...

BEFORE REVEALING A PLOT TWIST.

Someone sent him photographies of Peter throwing his clone away! I didn't expect this plot point to come back, I thought it was pretty much dropped or would be retconned in like a decade or so.

That's so interesting though!

My first guess for who's this mysterious photographer would be Eddie Brock, but he hasn't been introduced yet.

Otherwise... An enemy who'd be back? But whom? The Tarantula? I think he was involved in those events, after all, but taking pictures from afar doesn't seem to be his style.

Hmm.....! I'm really excited to see a plot point that I'm not spoiled on :D

The Punisher, meanwhile, roughs up some gangster and says someone's been impersonating him. So... the Chameleon? Fascinating intrigue!

The Spider and the Crawler meet again, and Nightcrawler helpfully informs us that given that the current X-Men run only started recently (1975), the mutants aren't out to the public yet, and thus, nobody has ever heard of Nightcrawler and his friends.

I'm just staring wide-eyed, curious about how this is going to progress.

More importantly, the Punisher and Spider-Man are a couple and I think that's very important.
