I'm curious, do y'all ever read a line in a fic and like...you can't help but smile and you have to take a pause because you know where it's going and you can't wait to read it? like I'll be reading a fic and it'll be like "and there was only one bed" and I'll have to do a lap from excitement before reading the rest

That feeling when you’re laying down before going to bed, looking up in the ceiling in wonder as you reach your little hands out to the air. You can imagine the stars dancing at your finger tips, a colorful Mobile spinning as you can’t help but make little noises. Sleepily playing with the air as if what you imagining would swirl down and hug you. You’re safe, warm, as you fade into the comforting arms of mother night.

I washed my hair last night and I hate the way it looks because it doesn't have much volume and it's hard to style when it's clean and I didn't put any product in it but omfg it feels amazing

Do you have any idea how satisfying it is to leave a long comment on a fanfiction and have the author tell you how happy it made them? That it made their day? That it’s the nicest thing ever? Saying thank you over and over again? The happy emoticons? Do you know how good it feels to tell an author how amazing their writing is and have them tell you how happy and grateful they are for your comment? Because it’s one of the best feelings in the world.

I could think of no better way to share the news than this!
So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.
Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.
Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!
Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)
He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!
I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!
Here's some pictures of Artie once we let him out of the carrier:

ai generated images make me increasingly sad and tired the more i see them in more and more casual contexts. i dont know how to explain, but it just fills the world with a bunch of nothing. no matter how visually stunning the pictures might be, there's nothing behind it for me. no dedication, no emotions, no feelings, no hard work or creativity, nothing i can truly think about, admire or enjoy. i dont think thats how art is supposed to be

reminder to myself and whoever else needs it to stop feeding the machine. I'm aware I'm yelling into the void but look at the past couple years of games. They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.
Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.
