with the new year comes some little bits of housekeeping, and it's mainly how i plan to approach interactions moving forward. the plain and unfortunate truth is i suck at keeping up with messages. it's easier the closer i feel to someone, but i can still get easily overwhelmed. i'm still forgetful, both with messages and interaction calls. so this year, i'm going to do my best to act in accordance to my strengths and stop pushing myself to do something that i simply don't have the mental energy to do constantly.

what does this mean? well, i won't be making plotting calls going forward; instead, i plan to make lists of plots for each muse as well as general plots/dynamics i want, and i'll approach you if you like one of these posts. this should make dynamics easier to develop since we'll already have a starting place. i will also occasionally reblog a plotting meme of some sort, so if you want a more personalized idea from me, those will be the way to go. i probably won't like plotting calls myself unless i have a pretty solid idea in mind.

when i make starter/inbox calls, i'm going to start placing a cap on them so that i don't bite off more than i can chew. if i get through that initial cap, i might raise it if i still feel good enough to do more, but if i don't, it's okay bc i guarantee i'll make another interaction call before long! i just need to start doing this bc i honestly forget what i owe within a few days if i get busy.

and i want to be honest -- the little interactions make me more comfortable around my mutuals and more likely to pursue interactions. liking my headcanons/ooc posts/etc., commenting on posts, and sending in memes ( ic or ooc ) show me you do have an interest in what i have to offer. i understand reaching out is nerve-wracking bc i get nervous, too, but reaching out can be something as small as liking a post. and this is just a general note in regards to my own comfort that i might put in my rules! i guess what i'm saying is, if you're having a hard time approaching me, just a little interaction will help me bridge the gap, if that makes sense. if both of us feel shy but at least one of us reaches out even in a small way, we can make a connection over time!

i think that's it for the time being! i promise i'll be doing my best to show my interest even when it's hard for me to talk, and i hope these changes make it easier to connect <3

Things I’m excited to see in s5

- Azure Lion finding out who was pulling the strings the whole time (his eyes glowed ink green when he achieved his goal and I think that that’s something)

- The reveal of who stole the scroll and presumably gave it to Jin & Yin or AL (I firmly believe it wasn’t Azure because the person in the cloak had human proportions)

- Azure getting stuck with leaderly responsibilities (this could very well be played for comedy)

- Everyone learns why exactly the Jade Emperor being absorbed(?) is such a bad thing for the universe

- Peng insulting more people down to their core (I am firmly on the side of the fandom that likes that bird and I think he’s got an interesting role in the group dynamic)

- Yellow Tusk being wise in a significant way (like maybe a line where he’s like “Hey Azure, something’s up with you, maybe calm down a little?”

- Nezha being taught that he has value beyond what post he can take up and maybe having a cute moment where he at least smiles

- More content regarding Princess Iron Fan’s days as a celestial (this one I’m fine with because that shot with her and DBK’s first meeting is everything to me)

- More DBK angst (dude clearly has an issue with being called “weak” and I want to see another adorable shot with him and his wife saving each other from the ink)

- Red Son confronting his own issues + maybe even his parental abuse (maybe we could get flashbacks if we’re lucky)

- MK OR MEI RESCUING RED SON (if the show ends up leaving the fam in the scroll because they’re villains and it gets them out of the way I will be PISSED)

- MK, Macaque and the audience finally seeing what mind games Wukong was being put through (because we didn’t actually get to see that in s4 and since he never got out I bet we’re being set up to finally see him and Mac’s fallout in s5)

- More monkey form MK (hopefully him eventually coming to “embrace it” without “accepting his destiny”)

- MK finding out what exactly Subodhi meant by the stone being remade to make another celestial / demon monkey, but MK not actually being born from the stone (maybe getting to meet that goddess in the artwork who potentially shaped him (Quanyin?))

- Finding out what happened to the Samadhi Fire (we haven’t seen Mei use it since LBD and the only time it was mentioned since was Subodhi talking about it in past tense, and honestly if the writers nerfed her simply because they had trouble write conflict while Mei had that universe-destroying power I’m kinda chill with that)

- Sandy’s being “too nice for [his] own good” becoming a character flaw that he has to get past in order to save his friends (someone on tumblr came up with the theory that Sandy’s hiding something and being super nice on purpose and I haven’t been able to stop thinking of it)

- Seeing WTF happened to the Mayor after LBD’s defeat (did he shrivel up and die because his source of immortal power was destroyed? did he actually get arrested by the Megapolis law enforcement that we’ve never seen because everyone saw their mayor hanging behind the demon freezing and destroying the city + he’s more closely connected to human society than any of the other villains so he deserves a human punishment? Or did he actually get away and is currently plotting revenge while having an identity crisis? (please writers even if he anticlimactically died off-screen I WANT TO KNOW))

to his surprise the two of you had a similar idea of fun. in hindsight it isn't that much of a shock. you guys are together 24/7! as a group, not one on one like now.

there's really nothing different about it.

sure, it's nice having your undivided attention without a pesky feline hogging it. plus he can actually hear your laugh when he jokes. was it always like that? a funky yet endearing sound? probably.

he's starting to notice things that he should've a long time ago and it makes him feel weird.

you're thoughtful, to the point it makes him wanna gag.

"this place better be good. it's my birthday after all so i'm head honcho!" he exclaimed, taking a seat on the opposite side of the booth you shared.

"cater recommended it. i asked him what place in town had the best burgers and viola." you were too busy looking over the menu to see his face, and thank the seven you were, otherwise, you would've notice him gaping like a fish.

"oh! and they serve cherry pie! you think it's as good as — what's wrong with your face?"

jaw on the floor.

he was positive he only mentioned his favorite foods once or twice, yet, you remembered it.

and for a second time, he brushed off the odd feeling bubbling in his chest.

the last time was hard to ignore. you sprung a gift on him last minute before entering campus. it was, ironically, a deck of cards.

"learn a new trick other than a basic sleight." you joked, nudging him slightly. "oh! and don't let riddle see these. all the aces are an ace of hearts." winking, you bid him one more 'happy birthday' before leaving.

they were just a deck of trick cards. it wasn't anything special.

he's never seen you dressed up and wow, you cleaned up nicely.

was it shock? freezing up, cheeks flush, trouble speaking, sweaty palms — his symptoms all align with shock. that has to be it.

"thanks for still showing up." he spoke after regaining basic functions. it didn't last long because you hugged him. arms around torso, face to face, lasting more than three seconds hug.

friends hug all the time. he's shared a similar embrace with ace, albeit riddle forced them to, but this is was not like that.

Someone might have already pointed this out, or it's obvious, but, the extra art with Eklutna about "seeing your own face(?) reflected back", and Owlstar saying that "StarClan said", which I'm assuming is him repeating what Eklutna told him, I have a feeling that it's just... a lie. Yes, StarClan was reaching out about the oil, and it just so happened that Eklutna was the one who they reached out to and she spread the word. But that was it. They just needed help with that, it wasn't meant to be something bigger. But Eklutna NEEDED to feel like she was meant for even more, and she started lying to herself that her kits are meant to rule, to the point where she herself started to believe in her own lies. StarClan said... nothing. It was something she made up and yet fully believed it was StarClan who told her that due to how deeply she believed in her own lies. And when she looks up, it really it just herself reflecting back, cause StarClan's mission for her was already complete.

I have now added Eklutna to the artfight profile! (friendly reminder to tell me who you guys want to see refs for because I likely won't do a ref for everyone, this post has a list of all the refs I've done so far), and you're definitely onto something here about what went down between Eklutna and Starclan. The question is I think, "is a lie really a lie if the liar truly believes it?" would Eklutna be so certain that Starclan would protect her if none of it was true? If it is all made up then what does that mean for her kits? Will they face punishment from Starclan for their mother's actions? Does her belief in it make it true in some way? Regardless, glad I could infect you with my silly cat brain worms.

Rosehippaw is certainly angry, with Starclan for letting her be so sick, with her parents for babying her, with the clan for acting like she's worth less than her sister, with her sister for being born healthy, ect. She's gonna have a complicated relationship with starclan for certain, whether she makes it or joins them. Currently she is more than sick of the medicine den, and cannot wait for the day to come where she leaves it and never comes back. Absolutely you can add an emoji! I'll do my best to keep an updated list for "optimal recognization" lol.

They might decide to delay their leadership ceremony for a couple of moons, leaving them a perfect target for an opportune murder, or they could go ahead with it, potentially sacrificing their kit's health for the good of the clan and some insurance should anything go wrong during the birth. It would all depend on what the leader valued more, their kits or their clan.

Anyway, not to get off topic but all of these above asks have one thing in common:

Do You Play?

Day #3 - Prompt: Best Friends | Word Count: 1000 | Rating: T | CW: Language | POV: Goodie (Freak) | Pairing: None | Tags: Making New Friends, Playing D&D

"Can I sit?" a voice beside him asks, startling him.

Goodie looks up, annoyed. He's engrossed in his book, and now there's a boy he's never seen before standing over his lunch table. 

"Uh, I guess?" he answers, because nobody's ever asked to sit with him before. Not even the new kids. Everyone learns pretty fast to stay away from the freak. 

"Cool, thanks," the other boy says. Then adds, "I'm Jeff. My first day," he explains, gesturing around. Yeah, Goodie's aware. He wouldn't be approaching Goodie if he knew anything about anything in this shitty middle school.

Goodie nods as he sits, his lunch tray slapping against the table.

"This is the part where you tell me your name," Jeff prompts, and Goodie sighs. 

"Goodie," he says. Waiting for it: Goody-goody. Little goody two-shoes. Sam Goody.

He's heard it all. He doesn't give a shit anymore. It's unoriginal and tired, and he refuses to play along. Not even for the new kid.

"Do you play?" Jeff asks, seeming to bypass the usual foolishness.

"Play?" Goodie asks.

And Jeff flicks the book in Goodie's hand: Dungeons & Dragons: Rules for Fantastic Medieval Wargames Campaigns Playable with Paper and Pencil and Miniature Figures.

Oh. This is what he's gonna make fun of, then. Great.

"Trying to learn, if I could get this read," Goodie says, pointed. Dismissive. 

"Me too," Jeff says, opening his backpack, holding it out for Goodie to look into, and sure enough, there's a copy of a similar book on top of all Jeff's textbooks.

Goodie admits, "That's cool."

"We'd need a referee. Or, a Dungeon Master as they call them in the later books. Do you want to do it?" Jeff asks.

And Goodie does not. He shakes his head no.

"You know anybody else that plays, then?" Jeff asks. 

Goodie doesn't, and he shakes his head again. 

Jeff nods, accepting his answer, "Well. The two of us can play, but one of us has to be the Dungeon Master," Jeff says, picking up his square piece of pizza and taking a big bite. 

Fine. Goodie will be the referee, the Dungeon Master, but he doesn't want to. Not at all.

They have their stuff spread out on the picnic table in the woods outside of the high school, the only secluded place Goodie knew about. They can't exactly do this in the library. Ms. Waterson would have their asses.

But they're finally playing. It took a couple weeks to read, and learn, but he thinks they finally have a working campaign, as basic as it is.

They are both laughing, having a good time, as Jeff rolls the dice again and Goodie reads from behind his folded out Trapper Keeper he's using as a makeshift screen.

He's about to tell Jeff his fate, when Goodie catches movement out of the corner of his eye, but it's gone in a flash, and he feels a sense of dread. 

"Somebody's here," he hisses, and Jeff turns to look. "Don't look, dummy!"

And Jeff swings his head back around, pretending he wasn't looking. Too late for that.

Goodie tries to ignore the bear, or whatever the fuck it might be lurking in the woods, and goes back to stumbling through the shoddy campaign he's tried to cobble together. It's awful. He wants to play, not host. 

Then he sees it again, the movement behind one of the trees.

"Okay, I know you're there. Come kick our asses or whatever, and then leave us the hell alone!" Goodie hollers, not willing to play peek-a-boo all afternoon.

He thinks nothing is gonna happen, but finally a face pops around from behind the tree.

Eddie Munson.

Great.

The eighth-grader with the buzzcut. The one that's an actual freak. Just what they needed.

From everything he's heard, Eddie Munson is mad at the world, and Goodie isn't about to draw any of that negative attention towards himself. He's no fool. So, he looks away, and hopes Eddie will just leave.

They aren't that lucky. Goodie never is, so he doesn't know why he thought today would be any different.

"What're you boys up to?" Eddie asks, walking over towards the table, and Goodie pro-actively reaches out, trying to protect the set-up. They spent weeks on this, and all of their allowance money. He doesn't want to dig the pieces out of the dead leaves on the ground.

"Just playing a game. Dungeons & Dragons. Ever heard of it?" Jeff asks, like a goddamn fool. 

Goodie glares at his new best friend, trying to relay that this is not the kid to talk to. Abort mission, shut up, Jeff.

But Jeff didn't shut up, and now Eddie nods, sitting down at the table, right next to Goodie, and Goodie resists the urge to scoot away. But he doesn't. Show no weakness. That's what his dad always says. Easier said than done.

Eddie picks up his hand-painted dragon miniature and looks at it closely. Carefully. 

And then Eddie smiles, the barest hint of a grin, "Can I join?"

Can Eddie Munson play with them? Oh, sure, and then later they'll all go to The Hideout for a few beers, Goodie thinks, sarcastically.

"Sure!" Jeff says, excited, "Do you want to be the Dungeon Master? Goodie's terrible at it."

Goodie scoffs.

"Hey, either of you play an instrument? There's a talent show coming up. If we win, that'd be some nice cash to get a new campaign going."

Jeff looks at Goodie, and Goodie shakes his head, adamantly.

"Goodie can play the bass! He's pretty good!" Jeff shouts, and Eddie grins. 

"Excellent," Eddie says, a smile splitting his face, "that's excellent."

Goodie can't help it, he grins back, just a little. Maybe this won't be terrible, after all. For now, he pushes his notes towards Eddie so he can get up to speed on what they do have right now, while they all dream about what they might be able to play together in the future.

Rinne: Don't worry. I'll earn enough as an idol to feed you plenty every day.

Niki: I sure hope so! I'm gonna start working after graduating middle school, but I might starve to death before that 'cause we don't have money for food!

Onii-san's the only one I can depend on. So pleeease do your best today to bring home the bacon~

Rinne: Yeah. I'm not planning to become an ungrateful freeloader, so I'll work hard.

Niki: Just enough's fine~ You work to eat, but if you overwork yourself to death and can't even enjoy the food, that's backwards.

Well, becoming an idol's like Rinne-onii-san's dream, right? Maybe you wanna push yourself too hard?

Rinne: That I still don't know. There's so many differences between the fantasies I had as a kid and reality, leaving me depressed and disappointed.

So the other day, I added onto a post from @too-many-blorbos and mentioned how I thought Robots in Disguise would've been improved if it were a sequel to Rescue Bots instead of Prime. Now over here, I'm gonna expand that with the other things I would change! Also, I thought it'd be fun to call this au/rewrite/whatever Rescue Bots in Disguise, or RBiD

Putting it under a read more, because it's probably gonna be... A lot.

The first change is the starting cast. As I established in the other post, we'll be replacing Bumblebee with Chase but keep Strongarm. Then, we replaced Sideswipe with Hot Rod (don't worry tho, Sideswipe will show up later with Sunstreaker in tow)

The show starts with Chase and Strongarm patrolling on Cybertron. Chase is trying to explain to Strongarm why they don't need to be concerned with one bot loitering in a public space, only for a speeding Hot Rod to rocket past them. The two pursue him, eventually catching up with him next to a Space Bridge.

Hot Rod is perplexed when told he was speeding to get here, and as Chase tries to ask if he's okay his hand brushes against the controls. The Space Bridge suddenly activates, and all three of them are pulled through to Earth.

On Earth, I've decided it would be more interesting to replace the human characters with a grown-up Raf who has a kid of his own (because I miss my boy and I want him to be there).

And while Grimlock was one of the better parts of RiD, I still feel like he isn't quite Grimlock-y enough. So, I decided to swap him out with a new Dinobot based off Spike from the movies; all you need to do is take Grimlock's Dino mode head and make his snout narrower and longer, add a sail to his back, and bam! You have a spinosaurus that's still just as intimidating as a T-Rex, while leaving the door open for a more traditional Grimlock to show up later.

One of the main plot points of the first season is that Megatronus returns with a plan to destroy both Earth and Cybertron, hence why the Primes saw fit to revive Optimus. In RBiD, however, Optimus won't be revived.

In every episode, Hot Rod will have at least one very brief encounter with a past Prime; they might be right next to/replacing his reflection in a piece of glass, he might see them standing opposite him at base only to vanish when another bot passes in front of them, or maybe he hears their voice telling him to duck in the middle of a battle.

Halfway through the season, Windblade shows up; still acting as an agent of Primus, her role in RBiD is still to help out the team, but now her primary mission is also to help Hot Rod establish a connection with the Primes. With her help, Hot Rod is finally able to have a full conversation with a still dead Optimus Prime, who reveals that he and the other past Primes have sensed an approaching darkness. He also reveals that Hot Rod was chosen to take up the mantle of Prime when the time is right – though Optimus fears they may not have the luxury of time.

As for the Decepticons... It is very strange that virtually EVERY SINGLE ONE is partially (if not mostly) animal-like, while there are (to my memory) ZERO animal-like Autobots. That's sending a weird message. So! Some of the Decepticons will have slight redesigns to be just normal humanoid robots, though exceptions can be made for ones with bestial alt-modes or when their animal-like features have a clear translation into their alt-mode, like Thunderhoof's antlers. Steeljaw is supposed to be a wolf in sheep's clothing, but since it's kinda strange that a half wolf man turns into an SUV I've decided to just make him a beastformer that turns into a wolf.

Also! Some of the prisoners aboard the ship should've been Autobots. And I don't just mean former Autobots, I mean Autobots that broke the rules but would still refuse to join the Decepticons.

At the end of the first season, when Megatronus breaks free, Optimus and the other Primes channel themselves through Hot Rod and temporarily transform him into Rodimus Prime. Shortly after Megatronus is defeated, however, he reverts back to a HEAVILY exhausted Hot Rod – another character (probably Windblade) points out that had he contained the raw power of the Primes in his body for too much longer, he might have died. The rest of the series, he's dedicated to honing himself, occasionally getting the odd power boost until the series finale, where he's finally able to become Rodimus Prime permanently.

I apologize for another prediction question, but with the information and themes from this chapter added onto February's, how do you think this might end? What will happen to Satori? Will she be punished by the oni or Mizuchi? And for that matter, how will Mizuchi mix in with the rest of Gensokyo? Will she just, give up when Reimu faces her? Or will she just be allowed to rampage more because the only alternative is a greater evil that is the lockdown?

It's alright, always interested in discussing this manga with people!

So, in this chapter, we finally get to see the other residents of the Palace of Earth Spirits. It seems like Koishi and Okuu are still on Satori's side, but weren't informed of the lockdown. I'm really interested in seeing what those two are gonna do, if theyre gonna run into Mizuchi and Yuugi, and what exactly might happen if they do. Perhaps Mizuchi and Yuugi will try to get them on their side by explaining the situation, or maybe they think Koishi and Okuu will stay loyal to Satori no matter what, who knows. This manga has had a big emphasis on how much and how little the characters trust eachother, so i feel like a confrontation like that would be cool yknow?

Now the other half of the chapter with Parsee and Yamame. The Former Hell Restoration Lockdown is very interesting, another thing to add to the huge amount of Former Hell lore we've gotten recently. I'm not really expecting it, but i think it'd be cool to hear more about the process of Satori moving in and taking over Former Hell. my fingers have been crossed for some sort of flashback chapter to back when Mizuchi was still alive, perhaps we could get something like that for Satori when she first came to former hell as well, though i highly doubt thatll happen lol

Since Yamame and Parsee dont seem to care very much about breaking the rules of Former Hell, maybe theyre gonna team up with Mizuchi and Yuugi soon? Cause i'm still so set on the idea that Mizuchi is gonna gather a bunch of allies from Former Hell with the help of Yuugi, hell, maybe all the spirits protesting was encouraged by those two? We'll just have to wait and see

Honestly i dont really have any big new predictions or theories from this chapter, feels like we still need like one more chapter of set up before we get into the good stuff. Like, we still don't know what the deal with Remilia and Sakuya's conversation was, and we still don't know the whereabouts of Flandre which i have a suspicion might be related to that thing with Remi and Sakuya. (though characters disappearing for a while and coming back later with nothing having happened to them isnt a new thing in this manga)

This was another good chapter though, continues to give me confidence that this manga will end in a way i like. I'm hoping that they'll be able to reach some sort of deal with Mizuchi that can give her some closure on her grudge. I want her to have a happy ending

Delicious in Dungeon Reading Diary Vol 4

Spoilers below

First thing I notice about this volume is that the red dragon is very central on the front and back cover, and the table on contents has 6 chapters of red dragon.

Also while I'm talking about the volume cover I gotra say I love the art on these things

Like they look like they make food/wash dishes WHILE fighting the monsters, and Senshi is just doing a little mario hop with his fried rice. And all of the other covers have been similarly pleasant. Plus I love how the red boarder helps add both visual cohesion between volumes as well a nice bit of flair that helps it stand out amongst other manga.

That's how they teleported out of the dungeon? I was expecting the flash of light thing Falin did. Could it be that their gear wouldn't come with them? I don't think so if they kept their stuff on them. Must just be different methods.

Also this might be more evidence for my "living paintings are time portals" theory. Not quite sure yet.

It's very smart to go over the rules of death and resurrection in more detail now, considering what the whole point of this mission is. It both keeps stakes alive and adds tension to if Falin can even be revived.

I've seen this panel before, I did NOT expect it to be in such tense context.

And the dragon is down! I gotta say that was some excellent action, all the tactics were creative, both made sense for the characters to use, as well as made sense why they failed. Plus it was just really cool, the ending bit with Laios getting his leg bit especially.

Quite morbid how Laios is basically just doing a fun jigsaw puzzle with his own sister's bones.

DON'T SHOW THE NUTRITIONAL INFO!!!

Wait are they seriously not gonna tell Falin about how she was a skeleton for like a month? Like when someone asks "did I died" I feel one of the worst things you can say is "don't worry about it." Maybe it's just a translation thing idk.

Falin no longer having brockitis* anymore is significant. It will be very relevant. I feel it in my bones.

*brockitis: a term used by the anime community to describe a character with perpetually closed eyes, named after Brock from Pokemon

I'm sorry, you have NO follow up questions? Cause I sure have a few; what resident, this place is abandoned? Or that's one of the fake doors so how was there someone there? Or were they a ghost? Laios is not beating the himbo allegations.

Honestly it's good news to see this guy. Partially cause it's a cool new plothook, but more importantly some of my living painting questions might be answered!

I just think the mermaid is drawn real cute here.

Laios had a whole 2-second crisis over being a fake dragon fan.

Closing thoughts for the volume: the best so far. 10/10. Not only does it finish off the overarching plot so far with a really cool action scene, but sets up a lot of questions to get answered later. Plus the tension is really well done, pretty much from the point in the first chapter where they explain there are limits to resurrection to the point where Falin speaks a complete sentence there was that gripping sense of both danger and uncertainty, it makes it gripping enough to where I decently easily finished this volume in 1 sitting. While I think the coming volume or 2 will have to some work to get me invested in the next adventure I am more then confident that it can be done.

"Jiminie, choose a paper." J-Hope gently nudges Jimin to get his attention.

"Huh? Oh, right. Sorry." Jimin takes a piece of paper from the cup. "I got-"

"No, no don't tell them Jimin-sii. It's a scavenger hunt. You need to find the item. Telling the others will make it harder." Staff warns him.

"Ah, right. Thank you." He bows, fighting off the urge to cough.

"Are you feeling okay Jiminah? Your voice sounds off." Yoongi places a hand on his shoulder, worry flashing in his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Its just a little tickle in my throat. I'll rest when I get home. It's no big deal." Jimin smiles, trying to sound convincing even with another cough following his words.

"Are you sure Jimin? You could sit this one out and be an MC if you aren't feeling well." Namjoon frets as well, placing his hand on the back if Jimin's neck, checking for warmth.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. It's just a little cold. It's just annoying." Jimin moves away from Namjoon, checking his objects again before folding up the paper, putting it in his jeans pocket."Okay, I'm ready."

The boys are led to a giant warehouse, where they must find their seven items and return to staff everyone given a bag to put their items in.

"You can team up if you like, but that means you have to find each item on every players list. If one finishes all seven, they must wait for their teammates to find all seven as well." Staff explains the rules once more when they reach the destination.

"So it's a gamble.." Yoongi weighs his options of working with someone or working on his own.

"Taehyungie-Hyungie team up with me!" Jungkook jumps onto the back of Taehyung, almost making both men topple forward.

"Aiish Jungkook-ah give me warning before you jump on me.." Taehyung scolds in fear, adjusting the mankae so he doesn't fall, heart racing. "You almost made us fall.."

"Sorry Hyungie. I just think it'll be more fun in a group and you're pretty good at these types of things." Jungkook apologizes, leaning into Taehyung’s cheek.

"Alright Koo. Let's do this together!" Taehyung quickly recovers his cheerfulness, forgiving him instantly.

"If they're teaming together, will you team up with me hyung?"J-Hope asks Yoongi.

"Allright..alright.." Yoongi gives in istantly.

Jimin thought about asking someone to team up with him, but thought against it. It would be easier to hide how awful he felt if he didn't have a team mate.

"Anyone else teaming up?" Staff asks.

"Do we have to decide now?" Jin asks.

"No. You can decide to team up in game but once you agree to be on a team you can't back out."

"Okay, okay. I got it. I'll decide later." Jin replied politely.

"Me too." Jimin adds in and with that, the game begins.

Jungkook gets off Taehyungs back, pulling him into the building.

"They're gonna burn out quickly if they plan to run around.." Yoongi smiles.

"And they might pass up ah item.." Namjoon adds in.

Jimin waits for the others to go in, pretending to adjust his head cam before sneezing into his hands. "Hehitgzh!"

"Bless you." Staff says sympathically.

"Thanks.." Jimin smiles politely, going inside the building. It was a lot bigger on the inside, making him feel worried about finding his items.

Mang toy, snow globe, purple bouncy ball, army headband, red mic, stuffed cat, and a heart.. I wonder if anyone has the same items on their list..

Jimin repeated the list over and over in his head, coughing into his elbow. He could hear the sound of J-hope happily squealing, so he could only assume he already found an item.

"The faster I do this, the sooner I can sit and rest.." Jimin mutters to himself, going through the building. The more he walked, the more tired he became.

"What if we collect things not on our list?" Jimin hears the voice of Jungkook in the hallway head.

"You want to sabotage the other teams?" Taehyung questions.

"What if they have the same idea? Or we can use the items as a trade off if they do!" Jungkook says excitedly.

Jimin covered his face, trying to fight off the urge to sneeze, but even with managing to stop himself, a cough escapes, his sinuses draining into his throat. He tried to muffle it while he runs, but it slowed him down, making him feel dizzy.

"Was that Minnie?" Taehyung questions, quickly turning the corner to find him.

Jimin tries to quickly go into a room to avoid him, not wanting to be caught eavesdropping, but Taehyung grabs onto the back of his shirt before he could get away.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't-"

"Are you okay Jimin-ah?" Taehyung shows no interest in blaming him for spying, only having concern in his big brown eyes.

"Huh..? That's what you followed me for?" Jimin blinks, dumbfounded.

"Of course. The game isn't important if you're unwell." Taehyung says in a serious tone, using his sleeve to wipe Jimin's nose.

"Don't do that you could get sick." Jimin backs up, quickly pulling out the face mask from his pocket, putting it on to protect his fellow 95er.

"It'll be easier on you if you had a teammate, they can help find things with you."

"But you already have Jungkook-ah. That's 21 things to find."

"We don't care about that Hyung." Jungkook adds in, finding the room they slipped into. "We can find 21 things together! We already have two!" Jungkook proudly presents a golden mic charm and a Koya plush.

"But that'll be.." Jimin's words get cut off by another bout of coughs. Jungkook takes this as an opportunity to take Jimin's paper from his back pocket as Taehyung strokes Jimin's back.

"More Minnie, it sounds like you're getting worse.." Taehyung frowns, taking Jimin's hand. "Don't worry. We'll find all your items plus our own!"

"But I said-"

"Too late! I already took your note. That means you gotta team with me!" Jungkook waves the red sheet of paper he pick pocketed. "We already got an item from this list!" Jungkook says excitedly, digging a bouncy ball from his pocket.

"See? It was destiny for us to work together! That makes one item each!" Taehyung smiles brightly.

"Oh alright.." Jimin didn't care if he won or lost right now. They still had to spin the penalty wheel and some of the things listed weren't so bad.

"We gotta hurry though. Do you want me to carry you Hyung?" Jungkook offers, getting down for Jimin to get on his back.

Jimin shakes his head, afraid if he spoke he'd cough.

"Oh alright.. the offers always there.." Jungkook straightens up, giving the paper to Taehyung to look over. The mankae line walks down the hallway together, Jimin staying a couple steps behind, surpressing another sneeze.

"Where should we go next.. the hallway goes in three different directions.." Jungkooks eyes dart from one hall to the other, trying to decide which is the best option.

"should we split up and meet up back here in 10 minutes, but let me see your lists first." Jimin had to get away, his head pounding from the pressure.

"You can take mine, I memorized it." Taehyung gives up his purple paper.

"Take mine too." Jungkook gives up his pink one.

Jimin nods, going right.

"Is it okay to let him go alone?" Jungkook watches him go. "He's looking pale.."

"He's gonna try to hide how he feels. It's better to let him go and let it out instead of him holding it to stop us from worrying.." Taehyung knew his friend very well.

Jimin slipped into a room, releasing the sneezes he was trying to hold in. "Hehtichih! Hehitch! He'iychiugh.." he whines, feeling the snot soak into the cloth mask. "Uuh.." he takes it off with a sigh, trying to clean it off with a crumpled up tissue.

"Here Jiminie." Jin offers him a new tissue. "Blow your nose for hyung."

"Aiish! Hyung you scared me!" Jimin jumps at the sudden new voice, accepting the tissue, turning away to try to clear his nose.

"Sorry Jimin. I didn't mean to." Jin says gently. "Namjoon-Ah was looking for you. He wanted to team up with you, but seeing those papers in your hand you already got a team."

"Oh, yeah.. they bullied me into it.." Jimin smiles fondly.

"I'm glad." Jin smiles. "I'll let you look in this room then. I found something already."

He waves a Tata doll proudly. "Take it easy okay? Do you want me to get staff for you?"

"No. Im fine. Its just a little cold. I can do this."

Jin gives him a small packet of tissues from his bag. "Please tell staff if it becomes too much okay?" He plants a kiss on top of Jimin's head before leaving.

"Thanks hyung.." jimin searches the room, looking at the papers over and over. He couldn't focus on the words, only taking a minute to forget half the list.

This is not good.. I'm gonna hold them back..

Jimin runs a hand through his hair, the stress of disappointing his team, only making his headache worsen. He buries his head in his hands, trying to take a deep breath to calm himself, but when he tries to fill his lungs, a hacking cough comes.

I don't feel well at all.. I'll just rest for a minute..

Jimin lays on his side, taking deep breaths to try to calm his nerves, closing his eyes. He only got a few minutes to rest before the itch returned to his throat,coughing up phlegm, sitting up again. "Wait.. a snow globe!"

Jimin rushes to underneath the table, relieved when he picks up the small globe. "Oh wow.. it's got the BTS logo inside with BT21 playing around it.."

"What does?" Jungkook asks, rushing to Jimin's side.

"This.." He shows him the snow globe. "Has it been ten minutes already?"

"No.. I just got worried about you.." Jungkook admits with a bashful smile. "Jinnie-hyung said you were sneezing a lot, so I went to check on you.."

"Thanks Jungkook-ah. I'm feeling better now that I found something. I was worried I'd only be dead weight.."

"Even if you were, its okay. If you want you can just rest in this room as me and Taehyungie will do it!"

"No. No, i can help." Jimin makes it to his feet. "I just don't think I can run without burning out."

"You don't have to run. I'll do all the running! When we find all 21 items I'll carry you to the entrance on my back!" Jungkook says confidently.

"Even if we find the last item all the way at the far end of the building?" Jimin teases.

"Mm.. I'll ask Taehyungie to help if that happens."

Jimin giggles, but it quickly turns into a cough.

"Let's go meet up with Taehyungie.." He quickly pulls Jungkook trying to not give him time to worry.

"Alright..." Jungkook doesn't stop him, meeting in the fork in the hallway for Taehyung.

"I found a heart!" Taehyung approaches proudly. "And a Stuffed puppy. It kinda looks like rapmon!" He shows the white dog. "Isn't it cute?"

"A heart was on my paper too.. does that mean we gotta find two?" Jungkook asks curiously.

"We should look for one just in case.. Jiminie how are you holding up? This room I found has a couch in it. You can lay down for a bit."

"Oh! I forgot! I found a rubber duck. That was on your list wasn't it Taehyungie?"

"Yes! We're doing good! So good!" Taehyung smiles. "Also I saw Namjoonie-hyung and Jinnie-hyung together. I think they formed a team. That means they'll have to find 14 items."

"That's good.. that doesn't put us at too much of a disadvantage." Jungkook smiles. "We could still avoid last place!"

Jimin relaxes, feeding off of their positive energy. He pulls out the snow globe from his bag, trying to show his contribution."Oh Tete look at this snowglo.." he nearly drops it when he starts coughing. Taehyung hugs him from behind, placing his hands on Jimin's to steady them.

"Are you okay Jimin-sii?" Jungkook takes the snow globe from Jimin, looking at him with wide panicked eyes. "Maybe you should lay down.."

Jimin gives in. He couldn't keep pretending he was okay. It was starting to hurt to breathe and he felt chills run down his spine. "Okay.."

Jungkook picks him up before he can argue, letting Taehyung lead the way to the room with a nice plush couch. "Here you go, Jiminie, nice and comfy.." He places him down, taking off his jacket for Jimin to use as a blanket.

"Thanks, Jungkook-ah.. I'll just lay down for a little bit, then I'll help.." Jimin curls up on his side, coughing into his fist.

"Don't worry about it, Minnie. Rest well, okay?" Taehyung gently moves Jimin's hair out of his face. "I'll come back to check on you soon. Okay?"

"Okay.. I'm sorry.." Jimin yawns, exhaustion hitting hard when his body starts relaxing.

Taehyung and Jungkook go to the door, but instead of Taehyung leaving, the two boys silently play rock, paper scissors, Taehyung hiding in the room, and Jungkook leaving.

Taehyung waited until he heard Jimin's nasally snore to come out of hiding, sitting on the floor in front of the couch gently stroking . "My poor Minnie, Jk is gonna get staff.."

Jimin wakes up laying in J-hope's lap. "Huh? When did i.." His voice comes out hoarsely, getting quieter as he tried to speak, trying to sit up to look around.

"Shh..don't talk baby and be careful.. you have an IV in." J-hope pushes him back down.

"What about the game?" Jimin disobeyed J-hope wanting his questions answered.

"Me and Yoongi finished, so I decided to come sit with you."

"Did..we lose?" Jimin asks.

"No. Everyone else is still in the game. Yoongi-hyung is watching the others still playing.

Jimin relaxes a little. "Who's winning?"

"Right now, it's Junggukkie and Tae. They got 2 more to find to Joonie and hyungs 4. It's a really close game." J-hope smiles. "You don't have to worry about not being there, so just take it easy. Can you drink some water for me?"

Jimin nods, sitting up slowly. J-hope opens the water bottle for him. The cool water felt nice on his sore throat.

"Jiminie is up? That's great." Yoongi's shoulders slump in relief when he comes over. "How are you feeling Jimin?"

"I'm feeling a little better now.." Jimin sniffles.

Yoongi looks for a tissue when he hears him. "Guess what Jiminie?" He asks wiping Jimin's nose.

"Huh?"

"Taehyungie and Kook got second. Namjoon-ah and hyung will be getting the penalty." Yoongi tells him with a smile. If they got last place, he was willing to take Jimin's for him feeling relieved he didn't have to.

Taehyung and Jungkook run up to Jimin. "We did it! We did it! We didn't get last place!" Jungkook cheers loudly.

"I'm sorry I wasn't much help." Jimin says guilt weighing in his chest.

"The thing Namjoonie-hyung and Seokjinnie hyung couldn't find was the snowglobe. There were only two in the whole warehouse. We probably wouldn't have won without you." Jungkook comforts Jimin, getting a smile.

"And with second place we get to keep the things we found, but I gave the dog to Namjoonie." Taehyung gives Jimin his bag from the game, it holding all seven treasures on his list.

"Thanks Tete. I'll treasure the snowglobe as our winning trophy." Jimin smiles, stifling another sneeze. He didn't want to ruin the mood.

"We decided we'll do the punishment in the next episode. We want to get you home.." J-hope squeezes Jimin's hand, watching staff remove the IV.

Jimin winces, staff quickly putting a bandaid over it. "Thank you.." he bows his head to staff. "I'm sorry, I worried everyone.."

"Don't worry..you can help it when you're sick. I'll make you some tea and jook when we get home." Jin ruffles his hair lovingly. "Hyung will take care of you. Let's do the outro and get home."

what do you think about pierre and andrei? do you think it could actually work out together and if so how? i’m just curious cus i haven’t really seen other people who ship them too

haha i'm so flattered to be asked my opinion like a wap men expert..! i'm gonna go on a long and unfocused ramble now if you don't mind

my take is thus: andrei is a depressed repressed artistocrat who Knows he's attracted to men (in whatever 1800s language he might cloak it) (has known since he was young in fact. i have a comic somewhere in the back of my mind about andrei's teen journals written in code... but anyway) but is pretty dead set on never acting on that attraction because he just cares so, SO MUCH about being the perfect son and perfect nobleman and never indulging in his desires. Frankly at a certain point this mindset becomes so deeply rooted in him that it stops even being about risking his career/reputation and just becomes self-denial/rigid self control for the sake of it. Because he has issues.

His love for pierre i think is similar to his later love for natasha, in that he's attracted by pierre's youthfulness, naivete, lack of aristocratic savoir faire or any artificiality. i have to admit i really love that "you are the only alive person in our social circle" quote... andrei sees himself and the society he lives in as walking corpses, perpetuating pointless social conventions and actively avoiding any meaningful conversation because their reputation or social standing may suffer for it. pierre, as an outsider, is attractive to andrei because andrei sees his honesty, his naive passion, his unfiltered emotion, and sees everything that he himself is incapable of indulging in. That being said, i do think he sees pierre's faults as well - unlike with natasha later, where he was completely blinded by what she represented for him and suffered all the more when she turned out to be an imperfect human being. the reason why he doesn't idealise pierre to the same extent lies probably partly in their longer friendship, partly in misogyny that curses natasha with the madonna-whore treatment - pierre is more of a real person to andrei. i also think andrei needs to be railed by a bear so there's also that

as for pierre! i think he admires andrei tremendously, especially at the beginning of wap, and basically assumes andrei is superior to himself in every way, but either isn't interested in him romantically or simply doesn't realise it. he's definitely strongly characterised by a lack of knowledge of himself and his own needs or desires, as shown in his being peer pressured into marrying helene. so you have a situation where one party is unaware of their own feelings and the other refuses to act on theirs... an impasse.

so as you can see i'm skeptical that anything ever could happen between them but just for funsies let's imagine it does... thing is, andrei is so committed to torturing himself by staying faithful to his wife and never doing anything against the rules of wedlock (or of society!) even while he openly hates her and makes her miserable that i have to believe any adultery would weigh on him heavily no matter how much his heart aches for pierre. add to that the shame and danger of homosexuality and i really think that while he would seek out secret meetings with pierre with desperation he would be horribly miserable about it all the while, cursing his inability to stick to his principles and drowning in shame and self-reproach. and like i've discussed before, andrei is chronically incapable of being vulnerable with anyone (just look at his frantic but detached and mocking speech to pierre about how his marriage is making him unhappy, or the strangled way in which he proposes to natasha) so it's not like he could talk this over with pierre... and pierre isn't exactly the psychologically insightful type so, especially with the high regard he holds andrei in, i imagine he'd be confused at andrei's conflicted feelings and feel it was somehow his fault... i think the closes they could get to an honest talk about their feelings is something like the scene before borodino where andrei frantically paces the room spewing disgusted tirades about himself while pierre doesn't know how to comfort him. they'd have sex every so often and it would be great and messy and complicated and andrei would get that post nut shame trip and feel in turns happy and disgusted with himself for feeling happy and pierre would be too afraid of seeming stupid to question any of andrei's evasive answers. it would suck and they would be just two of the many victims of pre-therapy society. if at least they went to confession... maybe being catholic or at least xtian would save them but nooo they gotta be enlightened atheists. idiots

i should probably reread and rewrite this whole thing but it's late and i've had a rough few days so i think i'll just release this answer into the wild and go to sleep. i still dont know how they would even start hooking up tbh like i'm racking my brain. maybe andrei has some personal crisis and is finally convinced to have a drink and then his overstrained thread of rigorous self control snaps or maybe literally any of the kuragins pick up on andrei's feelings and tell pierre to mess with him. maybe fedya does. maybe pierre reads a boook about the homosexual agenda maybe his masonic buddies get him into a cool all gender orgy maybe anatole throws a bangin party and pierre realises some things about himself

Btw lil thing I might add BUT, these are actually their post- transdimensional "kidnapping" appearances, so before the transdimensional kidnapping SOMEHOW CAUSED BY THE MACHINE WHICH TURNED ELARA INTO A TIME HOPPING GOD, they looked pretty similar to their Canon (pre-Elara deth) appearances but just with some added pizzazz bcs CANON = BORING (Design wise to me).

Look, this is the blorbo and if you see similarities between his backstory and Kazan's, no you don't. Mentioning either him or the manga is enough to get my friends to sigh and groan as they await the inevitable gushing/rant that'll follow (which reminds me that I haven't, actually, gushed about him or ranted about the manga in quite a while now). Which is to say, I love lonely sad villains/antiheroes and if you've ever seen me mentioning the forbidden blorbo, now you know who I'm talking about.

Emet-Selch, from FFXIV

At this point I feel like I should mention that I do not stand in favor of manipulating or killing people as a form of therapy :'D

A bit more seriously though, I think he's the first character I felt so viscerally about in the game? Like I never agreed with his views but going through ShB I really hoped we'd managed to bring him to our side. My tragedy-loving ass won't complain about how ShB ended for him, mind you, but still.

Honorable mention for Thancred too, whom I feel more and more attached to as times passes, and also Y'shtola but in her case it's perhaps more the fact that she's, in terms of behavior, very much My Type.

Madi, from Black Sails

There are many great characters in that TV show and if you haven't seen it, I can only recommend it to you. But really, Madi is my favourite of the lot and definitely the inspiration for Inge if I had to pick one.

Between her cleverness, her dignity, her integrity, her charisma, her dedication to her people and her cause and her curiosity about others, what's not to love about her?

Varric Tethras, from Dragon Age 2 / DA:I

I was hesitating between Isabela and Cullen, but then I remembered the Best Companion Ever and how could I not put Hawke's most loyal friend on the list? I love him, love his loyalty, how he stays compassionate despite all he goes through, his sense of humor, his honesty... Only wish we could have romanced him in DA:I, but on the other end I like his story with Bianca so I'm not too sad about not being able to.

Byakuya Kuchiki, from Bleach

In the spirit of this dash game I'll respect the rules and make a choice, but if I'd filled this list any other day, I might have put Grimmjow there instead :'D

Anyway. I love a stubborn man with a stick up his ass and too many (conflicting) principles despite a rebellious heart who needs to be almost killed to start thinking that perhaps, just perhaps, he could have handle a Situation better.

And I love this character development past that point.

He wasn't an inspiration for Wolfe, but they're very much alike in several aspect. Byakuya is, however, a lot better at keeping a straight face.

Lois Habiba, from Torchwood S3

I haven't watched Torchwood in a long time but I remember her. In fact I remember Lois better than I remember some of the main cast.

She was just a normal young woman who had managed to get a really good job and risked everything to do the right thing and idk. She was just a really solid character that deserved better recognition.

Dean Winchester. Do I need to say from where?

Look, I loved all five seasons of Supernatural. A shame they didn't add more later!

And with Dean it's a bit personal so I'm not gonna go deep in details about it, but let's just say that there's quite a bit of me that I recognized in him and I just want to give that man a hug.

Donna Noble, from Doctor Who

I'm not up to date with the new seasons/episodes so no spoilers please!

But hm, yeah. I think what I loved the most about how Russel T. Davies was directing the show was how real his everyday people turned companion felt, and while I preferred Rose when I was younger, the older I get, the more appreciation I have for Donna.

She's just so full of life and character, so brave and so unapologetic about being herself despite her self-esteem issues, but I think what I love above all else about her is how she always acted as an equal to the Doctor.

I'm gonna repeat myself but really, the older I get, the more I love her. And I really need to catch up :'D

Cain Hargreaves, from the Cain saga

Honestly I don't expect anyone to remember this manga XD It's an old one I read when I was a teenager and one of the few I kept despite not having re-read it in 10+ years. I don't remember that much from it but I do remember the ending quite well.

Anyways. Cain's a young earl with a tragic past, a strong sense of justice, more money than common sense, a love for poisons and a fear of commitment. Truly, what could go wrong with such a character?

Also:

"Have I ever failed a promise to you? - Yes, all the time." after his sister made him swear he'd come back to her alive is just perfect.

Spike, from BtVS

He's devoted, he's cruel, he's romantic, he's brave, he's pathetic, he's capable of taking responsibility for his actions... I love a multifaceted character and I've had a soft spot for Spike ever since I've watched the series for the first time.

I rewatched it not too long ago and it didn't age that well imo, or maybe I'm just more critical than I used to be, but I still think Spike is an awesome character and I love that it was in spite of Whedon's intentions for him.

So, imagine that all of us are living on Coruscant during the Clone Wars. Obviously, we would all be going to 79's, right? Now I'm wondering what everyone is gonna wear the first time you're going? What kind of drinks do you order? What will you be doing? Who will you be flirting with?

What to Wear: I would wear a long tight dress to accentuate my curves. It’s sexy without revealing too much and I would wear my hair open and with my natural waves. Maybe I’d add a little bit of jewelry, but not to much. A necklace with a little golden heart pendant or something like that. And I’d wear comfy flat shoes, nice sandals or similar style. I hate walking in heels and I like that I am very small.

What to Order: I’m not good with alcohol but I’d order maybe a glass of white wine to get started and I’m sure they have some yummy non alcoholic cocktails to continue the night.

What to Do: I like to imagine myself dancing but let’s be honest I’m autistic as fuck and I’ll probably sit in the corner until someone comes and talks to me. If I’m with good friends that help me feel safe I might get a little courageous and try dancing but it will need a lot of convincing. But I’m very good at sitting around looking beautiful and lonely, it’s my autistic rizz

Who to woo: Honestly any of the Batch or Rex or Wolffe, depending who’s there that evening. If they are all there Crosshair would be my number one. I don’t think he is big on partying, so he might enjoy joining me in my quiet corner with a drink. I’d let him give me a taste of his whisky on his lips and slide his hand under my dress while he whispers all the dirty things he wants to do with me later in my ear. Or maybe Hunter would approach me, seeing me sitting there alone would activate his protective instinct and he would enjoy that I am small even next to him. If I get lucky either of them take me home to play with the rest of the Batch, heard they don’t mind sharing.
