I FORGOT I EVEN SENT THAT ASK AND YOUR RESPONSE HIT ME LIKE A TRUCK OHMSYGODDFJDJ
I seriously love your writing so much you always put a heap of emotion into it 😭😭
also adore the idea of TIM being the one who's obsessed with bear and going to such lengths just to keep seeing him, I tend to prefer happy endings so I like to think they work it out after a while but like also the angst is amazing
god the amount of yearning in this au makes me so mmmpfhhhf
god im just so sorry that it took me soo long to reply!!! you sent just as i was taking my break from tumblr and other social media :(((
i remember reading it and thinking to myself "god if i had the timbern brainworms, i could write smth for this" but then recently they've been coming back and i was a church bored out of my mind when i was like "hmmm maybe i should respond?"
and ohhh my god, when i first got it, i immediately thought about how toxic it could get and like, personally, i feel like i can't write complicated characters? if that makes sense? to me, im not very good at writing multi-dimensional characters. which to be fair, i never set out to become like a pulitzer prize winning author. i just do this for fun haha.
and like i knew that my answer to your ask was always gonna be toxic timbern but i didn't know if i could write it? ig??? bc like tim is a good person. he is!!! he just wants bear so badly. and it's past the initial physical attraction now.
he and bear are all grown up. he likes bear's wit and humor, well the wit and humor he gets to hear when bear doesn't know he's around. but bear wont let him in!!!! bear wont open himself up and tim's apologized!!!! he did!!! he doesn't even know what he did and he still apologized!!!!! and it changed nothing. bear doesn't talk to him or look at him or anything. nothing but polite professionalism.
and then one day, he sees bear on his balcony as he's swinging through the streets of gotham. and bear isn't doing anything special, he's just sitting there in sweats and no shirt and the moonlight hits his pecs just right and his shoulders are so broad and-
well he cant be blamed for stopping to take a peek, right? and maybe when he has has time he swings by more and more. just watching for longer and longer, until one day bear catches him. and as they stare at each other from opposite sides of the street, tim thinks this is it. the cold glances and frosty words are going to come back. bear's never gonna just sit on his balcony again. he's lost this too. but then-
oh.
bear sends him a hesitant wave and tim raises a trembling hand to wave back. and bear- well bear's mouth splits into a smile brilliant enough to rival the sun. beautiful like the sunrise. the promise of a new beginning. if he closes his eyes, tim thinks he can feel the sunlight's warm rays on him.
hes' hooked after that. he comes around again and again. one day bear lets him on the balcony. weeks later, bear's hugging him. weeks after that, tim's in bear's lap. and he knows it's not right. that bear thinks he's someone else. that bear doesnt want anything to do with him but how is he supposed to let this go? how is he supposed disentangle himself from bear's arms?
so he lies and he lies and he prays to any and every god he can think of, that he'll get to keep this. plus he's not really lying to bear, he's just... not talking about it! if bear asks, he'll tell him point blank. he swears it. but that's a problem for another day. things are looking up! bear said more than 5 sentences to him the other day and yesterday? he even got a small smile. it'll all work out. he'll be fine.

hear me out...... Doomed yaoi tubscar.
And/or, like, tubbo has an arranged wedding with Tommy (LMAOO) and before tubbo has to say yes, scar gets in and runs away with tubbo in the Woods, and maybe they fuck afterwards.
-👾
i burst out laughing at the arranged wedding LMAO
(warning for cuckolding and scar being a little creepy. maybe. if you squint. he knows how to gaslight suspiciously younger boys into his kinks is all i’m saying)
but i think they should get through with the wedding.
it's what their parents want, right?, and it'll finally make them shut up about toby's seemingly unexisting love life (he just really knows how to keep things on the low), plus tommy is his childhood best friend, so it's fine. toby can survive that.
what he apparently can't survive, though, is the way scar keeps staring at him during the whole ceremony. scar is one of toby's father's closest friends, so of course he has a good seat, a good view, and toby gets hotter under his collar by the second; there isn't a single moment during the wedding in which he glances at scar's direction and scar isn't eyeing him, shamelessly devouring toby's figure, all large shoulders and toned legs, standing charmingly shorter than tommy despite his build.
"you can now kiss," and toby can feel scar's eyes burning the back of his skull as he leans forward and pecks tommy's mouth.
"that was a beautiful ceremony," scar says, wheeling closer to toby when everyone is too busy celebrating and drinking. toby is pretty sure he saw tommy - his husband - take off his tie and wrap it around harry's neck at some point.
toby lets out an unimpressed chuckle, "no, it wasn't. this fucking sucks," and sips on his third or fourth glass of champagne.
scar snickers, putting a warm palm on the small of toby's back, and toby's legs threaten to give out. "at least there's a honeymoon to look up to, hm? where are the lovebirds going?"
"nowhere," toby creaks out, looking down for the first time since the conversation started, just now seeing the everlasting smirk on scar's face. scar's eyebrows arch in interest, prompting toby to continue, and toby would be damned if he didn't follow what scar wanted him to do, "our parents just rented a cabin in the middle of the forest for three days. it's, like, fifteen minutes from here. nothing much."
"sounds good. relaxing, even," scar sneaks his hand to toby's waist, pulling him a bit closer, "i think being alone in the woods is exactly the type of honeymoon a newlywed couple wants."
"as if," toby chuckles, downing more champagne, "we'll probably just play videogames and sleep. we don't really see each other like that."
scar glances over the group of people laughing and dancing just a few meters away. it's not hard to find tommy, partly because of his height, partly because of his intense stare, something that borders a glare and pierces right through scar's head, something that mixes a boiling anger with a twist of uncertainty.
oh, yeah; good thing scar is double their age. toby might've never noticed, but scar sees right through both of them.
they might just need a little... push. and scar's more than willing to be the one to do so.
so when it's time for the couple to finally end the night and head for the cabin, scar gently offers himself to go with them, just to make sure everything at the rented cabin is fine, we don't want our freshly married angels to be stressed on their honeymoon, right? and toby's dad thanks scar over and over for his kindness as scar calls for an uber and follows toby's car to the cabin.
scar is nothing but a sweet talker, and, since they weren't really planning to consummate the wedding, toby invites scar to sleep over. it was late, after all.
"what is your deal?" tommy approaches scar in the living room. faintly, in the background, they can hear toby singing in the shower.
scar smiles, "my deal? what do you mean?"
"you know fucking well what i mean," tommy frowns, "why are you here? why were you groping my husba- my friend earlier?"
scar's smile gets bigger.
"you can say he's your husband, you know. it's the truth."
tommy falters. "uh, yeah, but- but we don't really-"
"see each other like that?" scar interrupts, "yeah, i’ve heard that before. but i find it hard to believe."
tommy blushes. scar pats the empty seat on his side, and tommy sits, eyes wide and unsure.
"what are you afraid of?" scar asks, leaning his face on one hand, staring at tommy directly. tommy gulps and shrugs. "you gotta be careful. if you don't step up, someone's gonna steal toby from you."
"like who?" tommy utters before he can control himself.
scar just smirks.
“maybe that would actually help you,” scar goes on, watching tommy’s expression attentively, from the way his breath quivers to the bite on his lower lip, “seeing your husband with someone else. seeing toby in their arms, lost in pleasure, calling out for their name instead of yours. is that what you want, tommy?”
toby enters the living room, toweling his hair, “are you guys hungry? i think my dad left us some food in the fridge.”
tommy looks at him, then back at scar, and he’s out of breath already, face fully red and golden hairs stuck to his sweaty forehead, and he locks eyes with scar, and scar arches an eyebrow, and tommy licks his lips and nods.
from then on it’s easy, too fucking easy, and toby just needs a bit of talking through to let scar pull him closer and kiss him hungrily, a kiss so different from the single one toby shared with tommy at the wedding that tommy’s stomach sinks - and it’s so good.
when toby kneels down in front of scar, eager to have scar’s cock inside of his mouth, scar pets toby’s hair and says he’s such a good boy, there you go, good boy, toby, all the while staring directly at tommy’s widened eyes. not that tommy doesn’t have his hand down his pants, of course, but he’s not the focus.
and when toby is kissing scar’s face and neck, calling for scar, scar, scar like a prayer, scar is pretty sure he hears tommy groaning softly. toby cums more than once, getting rid of all of his pent-up frustration, moaning and grabbing onto scar like his life depends on it.
and when toby is done, chest heaving in ragged breaths and tears drying down his cheeks, he looks over his shoulder to where tommy is still sitting, with a wet spot on his pants and lips parted, and says, “oh, yeah. i forgot you were there.”
scar doesn’t miss how tommy’s cock jumps. he smirks, pulling toby in for a hug, and toby cuddles him instantly. scar looks at tommy and mouths a satisfied? to him.
tommy gets up silently and heads for the bathroom. scar chuckles under his breath, caressing toby’s back.
their relationship would never be the same: either they would try and actually live like a married couple, or it would all go to shambles.
but scar got what he wanted, so he doesn’t really care.

tumblr keeps recommending me c//a and pro Catra posts, it's both entertaining and irritating. anyway, i'd like to know your thoughts on this post!
personally, i feel like c//a stans misunderstand our point. we keep saying that Catra does deserve a redemption but she doesn't deserve forgiveness, or at least, instantaneous forgiveness when she has put no effort into trying to change. but they take it as "CATRA IS AN IRREDEEMABLE MONSTER WHO DESERVES TO ROT IN HELL" (which, ironically, is what they say about characters like shadow weaver).
also Adora "wanted" Catra in the finale season because that's how the authors wrote her. it made no sense for her character to suddenly want Catra back after it took her so long to finally cut Catra out of her life.
Do not go after the person who wrote the original post. (this is mostly for my other followers)
Tumblr has been doing the same thing to me, too. It showed me a post that said that as similar as Catra was to Shadow Weaver, she improved to be better. Which is a lie, lmao.
I hate that people think redemption and forgiveness are the same thing. You are allowed to improve as an individual, but the people you hurt don't owe you forgiveness. Sadly, SPOP doesn't have a single character that chooses not to forgive Catra. Even though Frosta punched her in the face, she was more accepting of Catra than Entrapta. Same counts for Perfuma and the other princesses. Though I'm pretty sure anyone would be demonized for not believing that "Catra got better!!!". S5 already does this when Adora vents about Catra being a stubborn brat, she just looks pathetic and Glimmer doesn't take her seriously.
And indeed, most stans think characters like Shadow Weaver or Hordak are not allowed to be redeemed, that's really because they're older and physically disabled.
Finally, yeah, Adora in s4 completely gave up on Catra, she didn't hesitate to nearly kill her without any remorse. Adora's priority was her friends, but especially Glimmer. "I want to be the hero she deserves". But you never see C//A stans talking about that, lol. They only bring up Glimmer and Adora's conflict or Glimmadora at all so they can shit on Glimmer and prove that Catra is a better girlfriend. Which is also bullshit.
Adora is allowed to want things, yes, but s5 pretty much sums it up as her wanting Catra of all people. Not her friends, not a family, or knowing more about her origins, idk. Just Catra. It's literally always about her. Adora is not a character that exists outside of Catra anymore. S5 definitely reinforced this, and the fandom only repeats this. It's annoying.

how do u curate your playlists? they're so good (listening to the glen powell one rn lol)
dearest anon, please know you've made my entire summer with this ask <3333 (here's the playlist in question)
now while i recognise you probably weren't looking for a legitimate breakdown of the process here, you've inspired me to take a deep dive, and i'm prone to getting carried away (and yes, i read high fidelity recently and rewatched the film and the series. but i'm sure that has nothing to do with it). so here goes, under the cut:
Lizzy's Guide to the Delicate Art of Making a Playlist
#1 - What's the Point?
There has to be a theme or mood or connecting thread for the playlist. That being said, as long as it makes sense to you, you've pretty much got this covered.
What's the story? Is it based on a mood, an event, a time in your life, a person, a character, a genre, an era, etc. etc. There's plenty to choose from, so there's plenty of playlists to be made. Go crazy, get weird with it.
(In this example, the overarching theme is: Glen Powell Hot (Twisters Edn.) with a sub-theme, if you will: Country Music for Beginners.)
#2 - Song Selection
Once the theme is set, I gather a few tracks that spring to mind immediately. In this instance:
• Why'd You Come In Here Lookin' Like That - Dolly Parton
• Cowboy Take Me Away - The Chicks
• Country's Cool Again - Lainey Wilson
All of these are fairly self-explanatory if you have been caught up in the Twisters press tour at all recently. No further comment.
From here I flesh out the ~general vibelist~ with more tracks, some classics and some deep cuts. I'm cross-referencing my own musical knowledge, previous playlists, spotify mixes (god forgive me, the occasional algorithm picks), and other user's Powell playlists (topgun-heavy, but you certainly can't blame them).
#3 - Order Matters
There's got to be some sort of flow to the playlist front to back, unless your theme is audio whiplash, for example.
Now here I am a devout follower of the High Fidelity rules, which are as follows:
Track 1 - Open with a killer - sets the tone, gets people invested
(Here, Lady Gaga's You And I ~ it's a banger, and it's country enough to get away with. Can't bring out the banjo prematurely, we'll lose people)
Track 2 - Bring it up a notch - let them know we're just getting started
(Alannah Myles, Black Velvet ~ country-ing it up a notch but staying firmly in the mainstream, because again, we don't want to scare anyone)
Track 3 - Cool it down - now we're settling in
(Chris Stapleton ft. Dua Lipa - I Think I'm In Love With You ~ Dua keeps us firmly rooted in the crowd pleasers, and we can sneak in some Stapleton)
N.B. There is a rule here that I don't abide by, the "only one track per artist" - there's three dolly tracks in this lineup alone and i stand by all of them. Provided you're not adding an entire album or two, I think you can get away with it.
Anyway, this three-track run fires us into a classic (Islands In The Stream) which melts into Tyler Childers and suddenly we're knee deep in Kentucky and you didn't even know it.
The trick is to not overthink it, which is always easier said than done. Ordering only has to make sense to you from start to finish. This journey's gotta go somewhere - throw in a few peaks and troughs, and the songs are just connecting the dots along the way.
#4 - As Does Shuffle-ability
Now, having said all that, I feel like this is a safe space to admit I am a chronic shuffler, so a degree of shuffle-ability is required.
All this means is that your underlying theme is evident throughout. Any wildcards are going to make sense wherever they pop up.
With this one, the thread of country through all of these tracks is what ties the theme together (saving a horse). There are some classics (Faith Hill, Willie Nelson), soul-heavy tracks (Secret Sisters, Leon Bridges), and and few more pop-adjacent (Haim, Ashe) but they've all got that twang - so it's shuffle proof.
#5 - Points for Presentation
A good cover, title and description can offset a multitude of sins. Don't underestimate the power of presentation.
Duration comes into play here also, where anything shorter than half an hour feels like it has nowhere to go, but over three hours feels insurmountable. Unless you're going for a compilation, year in your life playlist, or some background low-fi stuff, keep it tight.
And there you have it folks, my (lengthy) guide to playlist curation. Final note, don't love it and leave it. If you come across something new, jostle things around to get it in. Similarly, if something doesn't fit anymore, toss it. The beauty of the modern mixtape is you can edit it as little or as often as you like.
If you made it this far, I'm personally sending you a little kiss on the forehead. And to the anon who inspired this article of a response, I can only apologise. MWAH
