By my family, I mean my uncles and cousins, Muhammad and his family. We lost our home, which is now in ruins, when we were displaced to Rafah under heavy cover of fire, but thank God we miraculously survived. We are now in the city of Rafah, dying of hunger due to the lack of aid, high prices, and lack of job opportunities. My brother and cousin also disappeared in Khan Yunis when we were starving. My brother and cousin went to get the flour that we left behind when they were displaced to Rafah. They risked their lives for us and went from Rafah to Khan Yunis and have not returned until today because Khan Yunis is a dangerous combat zone and we know nothing about them. My mother can't sleep because she lost my brother and knows nothing about him. Please help us so we can leave the Gaza Strip. Honestly, every little bit helps

The money will be sent to us through my cousin Baraa who lives in Belgium, and we hope that we will raise enough money to eat and leave the Gaza Strip to an area where we feel completely safe.

There are many like Muhammad and the family of Muhammad to whom we must extend a helping hand and help them, help children and orphans who have lost their families, and help displaced and poor families.

i wanted to say this again in light of recent events: i highly highly highly encourage anyone who sees this to read Edward W. Said's book After the Last Sky: Palestinian Lives (available on internet archive for free, but i recommend buying it). Said is palestinian, and in the book he talks about his childhood in palestine and the effects of being exiled from his homeland. the book is a true eye opener, and everything that Said says is still relevant today. it also includes photos, which truly emphasize the trauma and horrors the palestinian people have faced.

i mean, this young girl is only ten years old, yet she is essentially responsible for convincing random people scrolling through instagram that her and her family’s life are worth fighting for

This is not Gaza! This is a house in Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm in the West Bank during the Israeli occupation forces' raid on the camp today. This genocidal war is not only against the Gaza Strip, but against all the Palestinian people and all the Palestinian land.
