So obviously, they're all real torn up and sad about it and they go out to try and rescue him from this fictional country.

They go off and apparently face off with the real four horsemen of the apocalypse and stuff, but the main point here is that at some point, they actually successfully stopped Death from killing a mother and child, BUT inadvertently caused their friend to die because of it!!!

Okay this might be kinda a long ask but BEAR WITH ME!!!

Okay so 7x07 is titled “Ghost of a Second Chance”

Buck’s big gesture at the end of 7x05 was asking Tommy for a second chance.

I have seen some speculation that we are going to have some sort of major vehicle accident at some point this season based on bts photos and makeup trailer photos— so i have a working theory starting from the Madney wedding onto the end of the season.

Okay so 7x06: We will see Chimney’s bachelor party- personally im a big fan of the accidental marriage trope in fanfiction, but im trying to be realistic here. My theory is that when Buck and Eddie get plastered, Eddie starts to look at him weird, but is like “nahh no, that’s my best friend. he’s with tommy. he’s a guy. but im looking respectfully 👀👀.” They wake up the next day, and Chim is gone. They all immediately launch into “we gotta find him mode” and eddie stick with buck for most of the episode. As it goes on, Eddie starts thinking about all of his little thoughts about Buck from the night before and he keeps trying to explain them away in his mind- but his brain keeps popping back to the marisol of it all and he’s like “but what does it all mean??” anyway, they get chimney back, and things go well, but then the Buckley’s find out that evan is dating a man. They say some not-nice things (as they do everytime they’re around their son) and it’s not maddie who sticks up for buck, it’s not tommy, it’s not bobby or athena or hen or anyone because they’re all off having a grand old time— no, it’s Eddie. Eddie who will not even think about hearing anyone speak ill of Buck. He tells them about how wonderful snd deserving of love their son is and that if that’s from a man so be it as long as he’s happy— cue eddie’s epiphany as he mulls over his own words, glances up to the dance floor, and he sees buck dancing with tommy. But in that moment he sees buck. It suddenly clicks, and he realizes that he is screwed.

Now we have 7x07: Eddie is struggling to come to terms with what he has realized at the wedding. He’s shooketh ™️ and scared out of his mind over the fact that his best friend- who literally just came out to him- may be the person he’s been waiting for to settle down with. the other parentsl figure for Chris. someone Chris would want around. someone Eddie would want around. He spirals as he and Marisol begin to completely fall apart. At some point, they get a call- a helicopter crash. There is an immediate sinking feeling from everyone. They get to the scene and Bobby gives out instructions- Eddie and Buck make their way to the crash site, Buck terrified of what might be waiting for them. Eddie sees Tommy first- still alive but hanging on by a thread. This is where we get a delicious parallel to Shannon’s death. Eddie immediately is on the defensive, trying to keep Buck from seeing, but Buck is distraught. They get Tommy out and into an ambulance, but he’s been watching this whole time- he sees how Eddie so ferociously tried to protect Buck, and he realizes. As Tommy and Buck are in the back of the ambulance. Tommy tells Buck that he will move on, and maybe say something along the lines of “you don’t find it, you make it” (👀👀👀) and that Buck has Eddie. And THAT is when it clicks for Buck. Buck realizes as the first man he ever consciously considered in a romantic light dies in front of him, that what he has been looking for, he already has because he’s built it with Eddie (“you never know what you need until a light is shined on it” - oliver stark). But it can’t be because eddie is straight right? right??

Then from 7x08-7x10: we get the two of them dancing around each other. we get avoidance, we get longing glances missed by both of them. we see eddie have a multi-episode arc where he fully comes to terms with what he’s feeling, and he gets an emotional scene with Chris about Chris loving his Buck, and how Buck is kind of like his second dad since he doesn’t have Shannon as his mom anymore. On Buck’s end, we get a Buckley sibling moment where Maddie tells Buck that she’s always thought he had a thing for Eddie, but that she thought he needed to discover that himself. Buck is conflicted over telling Eddie because he just got what he wanted, even if it’s just in his head, he doesn’t want to lose it, especially not after just losing tommy. He is going to ignore it, but then we get another Loft Scene ™️. Eddie tells Buck that he is tired if avoiding Buck, and that he can’t lose someone else. He tells Buck that he knows Buck doesn’t feel the same, but that he would much rather be Buck’s best friend and have that be all he can be, than to not have him because he was too scared and pushed Buck away. He tells Buck that he’s Chris’s second dad, and that neither he or Chris can lose him, and Buck finally feels so wanted by his family- the family he made with Eddie. And he tells Eddie he loves him too. Then we get Eddie stepping in close, asking if Buck is okay with him kissing him before (something that has never happened for Buck, even with Tommy) and Buck tells him yes, and season 7 closes with them kissing in the same spot in Buck’s kitchen where all those years ago, Eddie told him there was no one her trusted his son with more than Buck.

Cue Season 8 finally bringing us the domestic fluff and tooth-rotting romance that we desperately need from the two of them and have been waiting for for SO long. Plus a few stumbles, maybe some doubts along the way, but nothing that can’t be fixed without some good ol’ “i love you to the core”

and you know what, because im feeling nice after my little spec sesh, when they go visit shannon’s grave to place flowers, they visit tommy’s too because he is who brought them together in the end.

I fully recognize how delulu i probably sound, but at the same time @ Tim Minear and ABC, i will be awaiting my writer’s credit on IMDb, and my check in the mail, thanks. 🙏

I rarely talk about books I actively dislike on here--not because I don't critique books (see: my ARC reviews lol) but because I generally prefer to talk about books I want people to read, but I just have to get Jo Segura's Raiders of the Lost Heart off my chest

Despite the cartoony cover that made me think it was possibly closed door (spoiler alert: it's not, I'd rate it around a 3/5 on that level) I was super excited for this because a) despite my issues with... some things and my general ambivalence on museums, I love Indiana Jones b) we need more "adventure romances", imo.

And it does get off to a good start! The hero and heroine hate each other because of some UST and grad school drama, she's super confident, he's in awe of her competence, the book has some interesting deconstructions of the "spicy Latina" stereotype.

BUT LOL.

The first issue I had was that Ford, our hero, had all of these insecurities re: inadequacies in the bedroom in his last relationship, which were triggered by walking in on his girlfriend, who he often left alone for significant periods of time while he went and did archeologist things... taking care of herself. And rather than try to be like "oh hey, let's make this a fun couples' activity"/"sometimes you just gotta", he was super SHOOKETH by this. Why? He is a grown man? In his thirties at that point?

And Ford is generally shooketh, as it turns out. He's not just like, charmingly soft boy to Corrie's badass girl, which I can totally get behind. He's also so obsessed with comparing himself to her, his own general inadequacies... and he (the whitest bread white guy ever) actively used his position as the boyfriend of an influential boss guy's daughter to take opportunities from Corrie, our heroine, a woman of color who isn't taken seriously by her field despite her many accomplishments. Including the opportunity he got, a major dig she has an emotional connection to (a weird connection, but still)... when she was already essentially chosen as the leader of the dig. And then he keeps this from her for the majority of the book, including after they begin a relationship.

What???? I'm not against secret keeping in romance, I think it can be an interesting device, but when the secret has your white guy hero taking an important opportunity from the woc heroine, I just??? Especially when the heroine is a Latina with indigenous Mexican heritage and the dig is on an AZTEC site????

And then as a sidebar, not as bad but still illogical for a very logical-seeming woman, Corrie's big motivation to go on this dig isn't the glory or the credit (which I would super appreciate, make heroines ambitious and self-motivated) but primarily because she believes, based on a story her grandfather told with "documentation", that she is the direct descendant of this ancient Aztec hero whose gravesite they're trying to find. Mind you, the entire time there's doubt that this could be possible, because stories surrounding the hero are conflicting--one of them involves him being castrated before he could have children. Then, when they apparently find the hero, it turns he did have a wife and child, but the child died young, so it is unlikely (though really not impossible, who's to say this guy didn't have other kids, let's see if a DNA test is possible before we jump to conclusions and if it's not possible which is also entirely possible, YOU WOULDN'T KNOW ANYWAY) that Corrie is descended from him. Again, this descent is based entirely on stories from her dead grandfather. I can understand disappointment, but this ESTEEMED ARCHEOLOGIST who has a lot of common sense is like? Having a mini crisis over it? And she's super mad that her grandfather would "lie" to her? Like, this is equivalent to a "you are descended from Ragnar Lothbrok" or "you are descended from William the Conqueror". Sure, was it possible? Yes. Is it a great dream? Yes. But she is so practical--I can understand some emotional investment, but THIS?

But also, going back to Ford... the author naturally gives Ford the most sympathetic reasons for lying to Corrie and stealing a job that paid $1.5 MILLION. His mom is dying of cancer, he's broke because his dad basically died bankrupt, and he needs the money for an experimental treatment. It's a contrived reason that is meant to make us and Corrie forgive him. But if you take it at face value, who doesn't get doing something incredibly underhanded to save your mom's life. Artistically, this is a dumb choice and of course it doesn't completely justify his actions and absolutely, he still did a horrible thing, but you GET IT. Corrie doesn't have to forgive him, of course. Even though she clearly will based off this information.

However, her initial reaction, aside from the justifiable anger, is to basically brush off the super sick mom she's known was giving him conflict throughout this journey and has been crying over several times in front of her... And go "Ford, you know you could've come up with the money somehow".

LOL WHAT. WHAT. NO???? He's an archeologist, they make NO MONEY. Could Ford have perhaps done something to like, share this opportunity with Corrie and beg her for a little chunk of the massive payout because he needs his mom's treatment and she for sure was a good enough person to do that? Yes. Could he have just "come up" with the money? NO. And she initially doesn't have the number for the cancer treatments, but anyone with a working brain knows that the out of pocket cost for cancer treatments in America, especially experimental treatments, can be ASTRONOMICAL. And surprise, he's stuck with a $30K bill that isn't even the whole of it, and is basically for his mom to be in a special rehab center. So Corrie feels shitty. Because yes, it is absolutely ridiculous to think that this guy with a job that is essentially academic, would just be able to come up with high-cost cancer treatment money. And she is smarter than that, just like she is too smart to buy into this story her grandfather told at face value.

I just. Hate this kind of nonsense, especially when it comes from an author who can clearly write and struck a really fun tone initially. Like, I'll try out another book by Jo Segura based on that. But this? Was just so disappointing.

While i was spending my literally-at-least-minutes thinking about Odin's Shit Plan one thing that occurred to me was that since getting Loki actually onto that throne would probably require military support from Asgard (some people might call that "sending an occupying force to install a puppet regime to de facto annex new territory" but obviously i would never do so, ahem) then Loki actually being the heir by law wouldn't really matter at that point either way. Odin may as well send Thor to Jotunheim instead, and then when he inherits Asgard the crowns are united and no more war ever again.

In Thorki terms however what happens is Loki is sent off to Jotunheim alone and sad and weeping, with his slim willowy build and his beautiful soft hair all he has to support himself with, and Thor is like "This doesn't seem... good? He knows fuck all about Frost Giants and doesn't know anyone there and also I miss him. Not in an incest way, OBVIOUSLY. I love him as a brother, I do not crave his touch upon my broad warrior's chest."

He stands at the Bifrost angsting hotly until a dishevelled Asgardian who went off to serve with the Suddenly King Of Jotunheim shows up to say "Yeah that didn't work. Nobody believes he's Lauffey's kid and they don't want him anyway." Oh no! Thor is shooketh and aghast! SHIT JUST GOT REAL!

He grabs an eight-legged horse (it's been hanging around for a while, nobody knows where it came from - WTF 8 legs??? - but it's always reminded him a wee bit of Loki so he likes it) and he heads to Jotunheim to save his bro! Then he stops, doubles back, gathers an army and heads out again, this time properly equipped with more than optimism and love. Brotherly love and not incest love OF COURSE.

And then idk everyone fights and in the aftermath it turns out that WAS incestuous love after all I guess? Thor tells Loki that you know what our dad's a bit of a dick, sending you off like that barely supported and away from me I mean from Asgard. And Loki's like yeah he is. I hate that bastard so much now. >:(

And Thor says Well it occurs to me that one of us is the theoretical heir to Jotunheim albeit not successfully so, and the other is the heir to Asgard and like... well if dad died I'd be king of Asgard and I would totally commit all my forces to supporting you over there. Might even. You know. Marry the two kingdoms together symbolically and literally. If you'd be into that. But this plan would rely on me being king and dad might just live forever so. Ah well, it was nice idea, right?

And Loki says, I don't know if you've noticed but we've still got that army from three paragraphs ago and that leaves Asgard basically undefended and WHAT IF - I'm not saying it's a good idea but WHAT IF... we told them Odin had been replaced by like. A witch? An evil witch pretending to be him. And that we need to go there and kill him to save Asgard from him. This sounds a bit unlikely yeah but would both of Odin's sons lie about a thing like that? And if Odin isn't really Odin then you'd be king now anyway so they'd be sworn to follow you and... As I said, just an idea. We probably shouldn't do that.

And then Thor has a think about it all (which takes a while as he is slightly Stupid!Thor in this story) and then he stands up and calls out to the army who were offscreen for the intimate dialogue bit but otherwise conveniently close, "RIGHT LADS I've just heard some bad news about Odin."

In ORV, i remember Kim Dokja’s thoughts questioning WHAT would happen if Yoo Joonghyuk died in ORV. Kim Dokja comes to the conclusion that their timeline would be doomed; things would be reset for Yoo Joonghyuk, but the ones left behind will have to continue the scenarios or die.

So going by this, I can assume that for every time Yoo Joonghyuk that died and regressed, there are just as many timelines who have “branched off” and continued without him. We just aren’t privy to that since, of course, narration is in KDJ’s or YJH’s pov. Maybe somewhere down the line Ways Of Survival YJH realizes this and this serves as one of the many tipping points for him too.

If this is the case then (because I love Yoo Joonghyuk’s suffering) for every time that Choi Eunbyeol “resets” time by dying, there is a timeline where she has existed once - the ORV timeline - that branches off and continues without her, while she starts in a new timeline AKA “Regression”.

SOOOOO just imagine. The first dozen times Choi Eunbyeol dies, those timelines go exactly like how ORV would go. Then slowly, she starts making changes and affects the people around her.

By the 20th turn, ORV is continuing with Kim Namwoon as Kim Dokja’s slave and a Yoo Joonghyuk who remembers the fierce woman that died during Chungumuro.

By the 21st turn (if she dies), Yoo Joonghyuk will continue forward, but this YJH will be plagued by memories of banter and what happened lately during “Free Dinner”. This is Yoo Joonghyuk who is secretly glad to have CEB as a fellow regressor even if they fight a lot and argue. This is Yoo Joonghyuk who has begun to catch feelings truly.

By the next turn (if Eunbyeol decides to continue), perhaps their relationship depends. Yes, Eunbyeol has to start over from scratch, but she knows how to handle Yoo Joonghyuk and how to not set off his temper and etc. She’s certainly handling 21st YJH better than the first two dozen runs. Anyways. Deepening relationship. Eunbyeol dies. YJH’s regret persists (along with denial ofc) but he doesn’t stop and continues clearing with KDJ.

By the time when “free dinner” progresses, imagine in this turn YJH, even if he has not admitted his feelings to Eunbyeol yet, is having FEELINGS and is struggling with them. Eunbyeol goes farther than last time but she still dies. This YJH might be more than a little shooketh by Eunbyeol’s death but— but what can he do, but continue clearing the scenarios?

By XXX turn, VERY VERY VERY far off into free dinner (because it’s a slow burn lmao), you get a Yoo Joonghyuk who is in love with his brat so much that he wants to punch himself at times. But of course, since this is not the end of the story and Things Happen, Eunbyeol dies. For her, she’s going back to the past and facing a suspicious Yoo Joonghyuk and starting all over again. For YJH, he’s dealing with the death of someone he loves. Again.

For every timeline that Choi Eunbyeol leaves in her regressions, for every bond that she makes with everyone and Yoo Joonghyuk… Those people left behind - Yoo Joonghyuk - are left to deal with the aftermath of her death. They can’t even mourn her for long because they have to continue the scenarios.

But you know how Yoo Joonghyuk can be - when someone like him falls in love, those kind of people tend to be a little fucked up in the head and go overboard with Emotions©️.

Mmmm. This kinda like that horrible realization Subaru has in Re:Zero, about how he’s not going back in time only, b he starting anew in a new timeline while the previous one continues with “his mistakes”.

thing is!! A-xu isn't even mad about his "evil" plan bc it's "evil" (tho wkx interprets it that way! 😭) He's mad bc A. He's not about that life anymore (not in a moral judgement way but in a IM RETIRED!! I WANT TO SETTLE DOWN and SLEEP way) and B. He doesn't want wkx to be hurt by the consequences. This is a parallel to caoxiang, how cao weining tells a-xiang he isn't judging her for killing, he fears for how it might effect her if she took innocent lives. This is a similar moment where wenzhou are just not on the same page. But it's not that zzs disapproves of revenge, he actually fully supports wkx in this, he just wants to make sure he's not making a mistake that's only going to hurt him in the end. I love them 🥺

1) the first, like, three sentences u said. i tried to summarize it for that wkx gif when he looked shooketh at ah xu's reaction BUT I WAS STRESSED OUT BY TOPAZ LAB and i was upset cus this gifset took too long for me to do despite my love for this project. additionally, the explanations gon be too long to put into the gif. thus, i didnt deliver it well cus i just chose the easiest word to describe that look but I ACTUALLY MEANT WHAT U ELABORATED ABOVE THANK U FOR REACHING OUT TO ME ABOUT IT 💖

the point is ah xu had the same experience of taking the wrong decision and the consequence that came after it -> he saw the same pattern in lao wen -> he got reminded of his past and the effect that took toll on him physically and mentally -> he got angry out of anxiety and worry cus that lao wen's gonna taste his own meds too and he wouldnt be able to bear the sight of him suffering.

2) he emphasized it too in the later ep after wkx spat blood due to shen shens confrontation. he didnt want more sin on lao wen's hand, he would help him take revenge on zhao jing and would stay as his advocate/consultant, whatever; who to be taken care of and who shouldnt. as long as all those choices wouldnt hurt lao wen in the future.

most "break up" moments between wenzhou were actually just both of em being not in the same page but the root of all his behavior was mainly

3) ah xu's motherly sense. what wkx said about him being soft-hearted, to me, later got translated as, like, a motherly love??? wkx is a literal child, both in his human wen mode and chief of ghost mode. he is a child in a 30 yo body, ngl as i rewatched the drama three times, i couldnt stop thinking about what my psychologist friend told me.

wen kexing is an overpowered baby with an adult tantrum, thats why he went around the town killing whoevers standing in his way.

and that makes sense cus he spent his childhood without parents and grew up in an environment thats not so child-friendly obviously. hes not used to expressing his emotions too (cus even before his parents died, he had to help his mom take care of his injured dad like he dont have time for tANtRum), thats why he blew up here and there cus he didnt know exactly how to vent?? plus, hes fighting the effect of the lethe water to his mind so, he was mentally exhausted.

i thought, ah xu became like a mother figure too who didnt want to see his "child" went astray and suffered after that. it's just his protectiveness that took the control and rationality. he cared so much about lao wen to the point of jumping into death to try to save him and he didnt even hesitate to fight a powerful immortal. he's so ready to fight fate fr. didnt say fathers cant be like this but in my experience, its more eminent in mothers. ah xu was so calm that hearing his name already eased lao wen's frantic mind.

I feel like Todoroki knows from the get go that you don’t study. He never sees you in the study groups, or in the library. He always sees you doing some sort of paperwork in the morning, and he catches on rather quickly that it’s last night’s homework, or an assignment from earlier on in the week.

Still, he can’t jump to conclusions just yet.

He overhears Kirishima talking to Kaminari about you. He’s not trying to eavesdrop on their conversation but he’s curious nonetheless.

“Yeah, I don’t think they study at all.” Kirishima tells Kaminari.

Todoroki is pretty intrigued now.

Starts investigating to see if you actually study or not. And when he doesn’t find anything to say that you do, he just waits for the exam results to come back.

He knows you didn’t study, no one accounted for you at any study groups, and Sero even said you’d gone to bed after training that afternoon.

When the results come back, Todoroki is dumbfounded.

You did better than him. You landed a whole three spots above him. 

Todoroki makes it his goal to talk to you now. And you two become really good friends, and Todoroki develops this crush on you.

He’s not sure how it even happened, all he knows is he likes you and everything about you intrigues him.

So when you’re hanging out in his dorm room, just talking and chilling out, he asks if you want to study for the next quiz coming up.

“Oh I don’t actually study.” You giggle, looking at the half-and-half boy you had a crush on.

“You don’t?” Todoroki restates, finally confirming all his suspicions.

“Nope. It doesn’t really do much for me, I’ve never really studied.” 

From then on out, Todoroki enjoys when you accompany him while he studies. He studies alone just to be able to spend time with you.

Especially when he asks you out.

“(Y/n)?” Todoroki glances up from his work sheet and you look up from the book he’d lent you to read while he worked on his assignments.

“Yeah Sho?” You smile at him, closing the book, holding your spot with your thumb.

“Would you like to go on a date after school soon?” He asks, getting the question he’d been wanting to ask off his chest finally.

“Yes.” Your eyes lit up at his question and you could feel your face getting hotter by the second.

“You look hot.” Todoroki comments on your flustered face which only deepens at his comment.

“I didn’t mean- I mean you are very beautiful but your face looked hot as in temperature.” Todoroki’s own face begins to flush at his fumbled words as you begin to smile and laugh.

Kaminari has no clue. He’s oblivious. I don’t think he’s as stupid as people make him seem but he certainly doesn’t catch on right away, it takes a bit of time.

And one loud mouthed explosive blonde haired friend of his to point it out.

“I was gonna ask them to study with us after class.” Kaminari states, telling the group about his first move to try and ask you out. He’s had a crush on you since he laid eyes on you, and he’s shooting his shot.

“You dumbass. They don’t study.” Bakugou groans, looking over at you, scrambling to finish your homework.

“That’s the homework from last night.” Bakugou points out to Kaminari and his eyes go wide.

“There’s no way they’re going to pass!” Kaminari exclaims.

“We have to go help them!” Kaminari is about to go rush over to you but Kirishima stops him and laughs.

“Just wait, you’ll see.” Kirishima reassures Kaminari.

And sure enough, when the homework gets returned, Kaminari watches as your paper returns with the highest marking. You passed. With a perfect score.

This doesn’t stop Kaminari from shooting said shot though. He’s trying even harder. He’s determined.

"So there’s that big test coming up.” Kaminari began talking to you about three weeks ago, you’ve become friends, and you both have mutual feelings for one another that the other doesn’t know about, but it’s pretty obvious to the surrounding friends in the Bakusquad.

He’s talking to you about the test coming up with all of the subjects you’ve covered so far, a bit of a mid-term if you will.

“I’m a little nervous about it if I’m being honest.” You admit, taking a bite of your lunch.

“Do you wanna study with us later tonight?” Kaminari asks, feeling volts coarse through his veins as he awaits your answer.

“Studying isn’t really my thing. It’s not that I don’t want too! Please don’t think I’m trying to avoid you guys.” You bite your lip and look away trying to come up with the right words to say.

“Studying crams my brain and I don’t really think fluidly when the test comes, I get worse grades when I study then when I don’t.”

“I’ll stop by after with snacks and drinks so you don’t feel left out then.” Kaminari grins, his amber eyes full of excitement.

And sure enough, he stops by, a few slices of pizza and some soda in hand.

“So I was thinking, me and you.” Kaminari starts. You’re playing some video games before lights out.

“Me and you?” You question, currently beating Kaminari in Mario Kart.

“Yeah like, would you wanna go out sometime?” He asks, smiling.

“Sure, that could be a lot of fun.” Your face begins to heat up, and you lose your spot to Kaminari as your mind begins to scream with excitement. You feel your heart beating faster.

“Wait really?” Kaminari turns to look at you pausing the game.

“Yes. I like you, and I want to go on ad ate with you.” You smile, setting the controller down.

“Oh this is awesome!” Kaminari hugs you.

The next day when the test is over, the Bakusquad stands dumbfounded as you pass the test with the highest score, even beating Bakugou.

Kaminari is proud.

So following that MC dying ask, what if they, through some sort of magical means, came back from the dead and showed up at the ROs doorstep, like a few months after (so the hurt is still relatively fresh, still mourning period), very confused as to what happened with no memory of having died? What are ROs reactions, what do they do? Given that this is the regency era, do they think that it's the work of the Devil, or that MC is still actually still dead and this some sort of a changeling?

Oooh 👀 In response to the (in?)famous dying ask (sorry, I know this is super late)

I mean, given the magic that it took for MC to end up travelling in time in the first place, I don't think any of the ROs would be too shooketh/thinking it was the devil's work or anything. Assuming the ROs know the truth, of course. Beyond that... How would they react?

Isobel: Isobel would be frozen at first, blood running cold in her veins as her heart clenches painfully. The anguish that she's tried to bury deep flaring back to life. She would be furious, refusing to believe that this is truly MC. It must be an imposter, someone playing a cruel trick on her. She would be terrified. If she allowed herself to believe... The pain and grief that would follow if this turned out to be false would be more than she could bear. She would need lots of time with MC to be convinced that this was really them, and would likely be very hostile, but not directly at them. Once she was convinced though... She would likely have a bit of a meltdown, pulling MC into a fierce embrace, sobbing angrily, probably cursing them, but you would know it’s her way of expressing the pain she felt.

Max: I can see this going one of two ways for Max. One: They would simply be so catatonic at this point that they wouldn’t have much of a reaction at all. They’ve likely wished and prayed so desperately for MC to return, that they’ve hallucinated them many times before, and they would just assume that they’ve finally snapped and gone mad. I can see them being like Edward in Twilight (lmao, I’m sorry for dragging Twilight into this, it was the first that came to mind) when he thought he was dead and Bella was there. Max would probably just embrace it, thinking that if they’re mad, they’re gonna enjoy it the best they can. Two: They would just break down sobbing. This would be the final straw for them, and they would just collapse. They may need some time to recover before they can fully accept that MC is back and deal with that. 

Clara: Clara would immediately be in tears, her heart all but stopping in her chest as she tentatively approach MC, studying them for any signs that this is... a hoax, or someone else posing as MC. "Is it really you? Truly?" Once convinced, she would collapse into MC's arms, sobbing. "It's really you.. You've... you’re back." Would pull back slightly to brush away her tears, but they keep flowing. "How is this possible? I thought you..." She swallows hard. "You were gone... I—" She would be a mess, but would soon compose herself to be there for MC and take care of them. Would be very concerned about them, and how they are dealing with this all. Are they injured? Do they not remember anything? Where have they been? Would put aside her own feelings to focus on MC first, but once she’s certain they’re all right and well, and won’t disappear again, she will likely bawl her eyes out for a while, clutching them close. 

Richard: Richard would also be wary that this might be some sort of hoax or imposter. His insides would be wrenched with stormy feelings, warring between soaring hope and gripping fear. MC is here, in front of him, back from the dead... And they don't even remember dying, the one thing that's been torturing him for months. How is this possible? Logic tells him this can't be true, it's not possible. He would be hesitant, trying to keep his distance, desperately trying to protect his heart from the agony that would assault him should he dare to hope, only to lose them again. He couldn't bear it. But seeing them back though, confused and scared.. it physically hurts him not to pull them into his arms and reassure them. Once he was convinced it’s truly them though, that's exactly what he would do, hold them tight and never let them go.

William: I think William would have a hard time processing this too. He was so completely devastated by their death, he’s been nothing but a shell of his former self since they died, and now they’re here?  It’s all he could ever want, but it shouldn’t be possible. He had resigned himself to his fate of living with a hole in his heart, and it would be hard to awaken those feelings and emotions that he’s had to bury deep to be able to function for his kids. He’s had to be strong for so long, I think he would keep it in for so long that MC might wonder if he’s moved on/doesn’t care that they’re back, until they’re finally alone and he allows himself to burst like a dam, sobbing and clinging to MC for dear life, begging them never to leave him again.

ACOTAR 5 or 6?? (I don’t know which book is next)

Did someone ask for this? No, not really. Am I still going to theorize how the next book is going to go in length? Yes, yes I will. Also I’m doing a facemask that needs 20min to set in so like, I have time to kill. 

I have seen many saying that Azriel’s book is next because through him we will get Illyria, which still needs to be dealt with. Also through him we get Gwynriel and that. Even though I can definitely see the logic behind that, I thought I might throw in another option just for shits and giggles. 

This is more like a fever dream than anything. Don’t hold me to it, because I haven’t read these books with the academic rigorosity to come up with counter arguments as to why it’s Az’s and not Elain’s book that will come next. But, that being said, if I’m right I will say I told you so (lol). 

Also this will further my Elucien agenda so like... yeah you’ve been warned.

Why Elain?

Because I think it makes more sense to go have a book deal with one villain working up to Koshei, than to have Beron+Koshei as the big baddies in one final book. So like ACOSF was the human queen, ACOTAR 5 is Beron and then ACOTAR 6 ultimate baddie Koshei. And who is character that has ties to Beron? Lucien and who would Lucien’s book be with? exactly, Azriel. no I’m kidding, of course Elain. 

I also think Elain was a character that had a huge presence in this ACOSF despite having like three sentences. You could see her impact in the book and to me that was quite telling. 

ACOTAR 5: 

Right so we all can agree on a few things after being in this fandom for a couple of years or at least since the end of ACOSF: first, Elain and Lucien will deliver a Jane Austen type romance; second, it will entail a lot of court politics; and third, Elain is up to something and no one knows what it is. Yes? 

First Act:

Elain doing her suspicious stuff and we as the reader find out what it is and can already see the negative implications

Lucien still taking the brunt of the work in the SC, which is still utter chaos.

BoE content: Vassa is agitated because her curse is nowhere near close to being broken and time is running out. 

The IC finds out what Elain is been up to. I do think it has something to do with her wanting to go back to her human self. Cue the confrontation.

Meanwhile with Lucien: Vassa might attempt something it triggers a magical response from Koshei, an attack or something. Maybe Beron decides to make a move to the SC given that Tamlin is absent as a ruler. I don’t know, the point is we get a confrontation scene that sees Tamlin die to protect Lucien. Everyone is in shock because the HL of Spring just died, without heirs and close relatives. Where did the power go?

Lucien starts to feel it, but then he realizes that it’s not because it is happening to him.

Cue to Elain having her “i want to be human again I don’t care the cost” rant at the IC. Amren will call her a stupid girl, because that’s what she does. Then the power flows to her and she’s going to be hella confused, everyone in the IC is stunned and when Elain asks wtf just happened, Feyre will say: Tamlin died (because she can feel the shift of power of spring due to the kernel of power of spring that she has), so that means and Rhysand finishes the thought by saying that Elain is the new High Lady of the Spring Court (and the first cauldron-chosen high lady)

This means that now she has more ties to this fae world and can’t simply abandon them.

We will have some discussion about what to do next and Elain is all like “I don’t want to be High Lady I didn’t even want to be fae”. Trust someone in the IC, maybe Amren (since she has no problem with saying what everyone else is thinking in the bluntest-maybe even rudest way), to say that having Elain be HL of Spring would make everyone’s life easier given the unified Prythian front they must once again have because of the Koshei threat. Maybe it will even be Azriel and they will have the E/lriel fallout...

Lucien arrives at the NC to talk to Elain or well something. 

News spread about what happened and they know that Elain’s claim (if she chooses to make it) to the SC is a tad shaky and not everyone will accept it. Beron is like the fuck if you think I will accept this human-turned fae claim. The SC is an strategic location and I will take it for myself because it will be useful fo my Koshei-agenda.

Eris arrives like hello my dad is about to move his army to the SC so now is the time to kill him

And Elain is still like “i don’t want it”. Think Jon Snow in GoT.

Cue an Archeron confrontation of “you can’t run away from your responsabilities// life is not neat and sometimes it will throw at you things you thought you wouldn’t have thought you’d needed to take on// take a stance for once and think beyond your own plants”.

Details are blurry but she is like I need to leave here (the NC) because no one has my best interest at heart they are just doing what it’s politically best. But who might have my best interest at heart? That’s right, Lucien. She asks him for help or to leave or whatever.

Lucien is a politician and a courtier but for once, for fucking once he will do something that’s not for political gain (for the court he represents). He will help her because he wants to see her at peace. They go to the human lands with BoE.

The first act ends with one dead Tamlin, one unsure Elain, one willing to help regardless of the decision Lucien, and one war focused Beron. 

Second act:

The BoE content we have all been waiting for 

Vassa might be weak from whatever happened and Jurian is all worried. 

They see Elucien arrive and are like 👀👀👀👀. Lucien glares at them in a “say anything and i will in fact kill you” way. 

Elain starts to open up and mentions that if anything it should be Lucien who’s the HL and not her because he knows the territory and it suits his skillset. All she wanted to do was have a quiet life and see the world. 

Lucien says that if he were to make a claim he would need even more support from other courts, because if Elain’s claim is shaky at best, then his is like ... not great.

They agree that Lucien should travel to other courts to gather support because regardless whether it’s Elain or Lucien who will ascend to the Spring throne, they will need it. Elain asks if she can go with him because, as she said, she wanted to see more of the world. 

We also get an Eris Vanserra visit - or several - and Lucien starts to realize that Eris knows waaaaaaaaaaaay more than he has lead on. And that they need to work together because again, regardless of who takes the throne, Beron will fight it, but if Eris is on the Autumn throne he would offer support to either. 

Cue the Lads tour of Prythian ft. Politics-courtier plotline and the “how the fuck are we going to help Vassa” side quest.

Elain starts to learn more about what it takes to be a High Lady and about the territory of Spring and its people.

During visits to other courts one or two members of the IC will pop in and out.

Elucien slow burn + court romance begins (We have nice balls with tension because that’s how Jane Austen would have wanted it and this is nothing if not an austenian romance).

Elan will learn about Jessminda (that’s her name right?)

Lucien and Elain have a heart to heart one day and Lucien is like “I’ve never had a home that is mine, i’ve always owed it to someone else or it comes because they see me as a political pawn”.

Eventually another heart to heart about the complex grief (if you will) that Lucien must be feeling for Tamlin. 

When we get to the Day Court, we get the baby news. Not only are they trying to gather Helion’s support but also to figure out a spell to save Vassa. Doing something with a spell Lucien and Helion find out. I imagine that Feysand is in the DC because they are trying to keep tabs on how Elain is feeling regarding her High Lady position and they wanted to meet somewhere neutral; and so is Eris, because things are getting out of hand at the AC so they are trying to see what they should do. Also Feysand are nosy bitches so of course they would be there.

After the reveal, Lucien is shooketh and leaves, Elain leaves after him. It is raining. They get wet and he stops when he arrives at a temple (we love a good P&P reference) Lucien starts the monologue of what does this mean, who am i, I’ve always been alone and Elain cuts in and says that maybe in the past he’s been alone but that he will never be again; Lucien turns to face her and she walks up to him and kisses him like the Cauldron intended when it made them mates. 

We Eluciens are starting getting our well deserved smutt dishes. 

Third act:

Elain is still  a tad unsure about being a High Lady, because all she ever heard was that she was good at being pretty and an ornament, that she was meant to be the supporting role. Lucien is like “babes fuck what your mom said but no matter what you choose, I will choose you”. 

Finally shit hits the fan at the AC so that’s where Elucien go and Helion.. because LoA is there and he says fuck it imma go help her Beron can go fuck himself.

However they do not arrive at the palace or something like that but to another location where we can finally have visual proof of what Eris has been up to. LoA appears. Her and Helion have a nice tête-a-tête. 

Vassa and Jurian are there too beause #WereGoingToNeedAllTheHelpWeCanGet

Elucien formally arrive to Beron’s court, as is the plan. 

The tension is absurd, the coup is about to happen, something goes wrong, they need to think of their feet, somebody gets hurt.. you know the usual stuff. 

They use the spell to free Vassa and in such release of power Beron is confused and weakened

Lady of Autumn delivers the killing blow. Beron dies, power goes to Eris and everyone is like did we win??

Eris makes the joke that whichever half of Elucien will make the claim to the SC he will support it. By this moment is clear that Elain will take up the role so we all have a good laugh.

Archeron sister reunion, congratulations all around. Maybe a celebration in the SC??? or maybe that’s too tacky given that the whole court is still a mess,

Happy ending?? oh wait there’s something more uh-oh, when freeing Vassa you also freed Koshei. Oh you thought you had weakened Koshei by killing is Prythian ally? think again. Koshei is a god of death that now has full access to his powers.

ELITE: Season 1 (Episode 1) Summary & Notes

*of course this contains spoilers*

Episode Title: Welcome

Summary: After a public high school collapses, the builder tries to repair its image by paying for three impacted students to attend an exclusive private school. (description straight from Netflix)

EH!:

Starts very dramatically, but I’m really oddly.... into it? Right off the bat, you see a crime scene; you see blood, you see the police getting involved… basically, you see the deal. Someone’s dead. Could be anyone, and the killer could be anyone as well. You might be attached to the dead person by the end of the season, or rooting for the killer all along. Who knows. And I love that.

The outside shot of the school is gorgeous. I don't know what I expected, since it's literally supposed to be an ELITE school, but yeah. I was very impressed.

Another really impressive thing is: Nadia. I just love the girl. I don't know how to express it in words. I just do. I want more of her.

“When your name is Nadia Shanaa, you better know what can get you expelled.” HOOOO THIS LINE. The connotation of this line is of course not the least bit amusing, but I love how homegirl came prepared. Lmao. Like, 'I'm already here. I'm not going out. None of y'all rich brats will make me. This is my shot, and I'm not throwing it away.'

On a similar note, Samuel’s introduction to the class is *chef’s kiss*. Though it’s self-deprecating, I think it’s the perfect way to show that he’s unfazed by the prejudice from them wealthy kids. That makes him kinda the opposite of Nadia because homegirl wants that trophy and the Ivy League, I can already tell, and she lets them know it - but I’d like to interpret Samu as kind of passive-aggressive, at least? Might actually not be the case, of course, and Samu’s really just this gentle dude who stays away from confrontations, but I still enjoyed the clap back when it happened.

And this one, lol. Okay. I knew there was gonna be lots of sex and nudity in this show (hello, Manu freaking Rios seduced me into doing this) but in the case that I didn’t, I think it’s…… very considerate of Netflix to let us know that they’re not gonna be shy from showing asses and breasts in this series. And sixteen-year-olds having sex in the goddamn shower. Christ. (I mean. Why am I surprised anyway? I just said Manu Rios made me do this, and his character's probably the STAR of the boys locker 🤣) Anyway....

Marina is cool, I guess… That thing about her STD is terrible irl, but an interesting plot point for the series imo. It sheds light to her rebellious streak and why she kinda has issues with her parents and Guzman who's really overprotective of her.... I don't know? Will that be important? Will she, like, infect someone? Will that somehow play into the main plot?

ALSO, important note: Ander is my male eye candy this ep, lol. He's really cute.

THE DEAD BODY REVEAL AT THE END WTF. Is this how it’s gonna be for the next seasons? Because I am shooketh. I didn't expect to know who died so early. But thanks, ig? Lol. Now I know not to invest my emotions in Marina 😂.

All right, I don’t hate Christian, but I strongly dislike him the first second he’s on-screen. Maybe he came on too strong? Idk. He just felt forced somehow? Although I admit the walking naked in the corridor scene was hilarious, I'm still not sold. He is very imposing in a very annoying way. Can’t even really blame Guzman for being an asshole to him lol. This brings us to the next bullet:

Guzman is an asshole. He has reasons I’m sure, and he’ll eventually drop from the high horse, but for now…. he's meh to me.

NO. They did not call the hijab an accessory. Yo, wtf is that? And they also threatened Nadia’s wearing it as a probable ground for expulsion? YO, that’s not cool. They should reevaluate that handbook and make it more open to diversity. Like??? Honestly, fuck you, ma’am.

Yooooo Samu’s older brother is a trouble-maker. And not the type that I enjoy, too. Not against it, I love trouble-makers as much as the next bitch, but I just haven’t found the reason to appreciate him? I’m sure I’ll figure out where he stands in the next episodes because he seems like an important part of the big picture. But in this ep? Nuh. No. Bye.

I'm just gonna come out and say it: I hate Lu. Which is the same reason why I should have loved her, in this backward logic of mine. And actually, she was part of my EH!s. Until that racist comment to Nadia. They’re just really bothered by her hijab huh.

Polo is hella attractive but idk wtf’s up with him? And Carla, too. Their relationship was ????? Voyeurism and consensual cheating are common kinks in the many fandoms I’ve been in (and read fics for), but…… that sex scene between Christian and Carla with Polo watching through a mirror was really lmfao ?????

Finally, I am NOT a fan of the attraction between Nano and Marina. Not at all. But I guess nothing comes out of it in the end, right, or at least nothing that lasts into the second season. Because, well…. The DEAD BODY REVEAL lol. That’s good. Perfect. But as long as Marina’s alive, and I guess she will be until the last episode, a relationship forming between her and Samu’s brother is not impossible. And that’s what I’m most dreadful about. Because I can already see it happening asgbfdhfdj. And I don’t wanttttttttt.

Kaze Hikaru Ending

OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

I AM WARNING YALL, THIS ENDING GENUINELY MADE ME DECIDE TO STOP READING THE MANGA, WHICH IVE READ FOR YEARS.

Okay so basically Imma put y'all onto some historical context first. If y'all didn't know already, Kaze Hikaru is based on real life people and real life historical events. The Shinsengumi were real and pretty much also every named character in the Shinsengumi in Kaze Hikaru is based off a real person. If you read the author's message that Watanabe-sensei leaves at the end of every volume, you can see that she cares a LOT about the historical accuracy.

And I was dreading that cuz ... if you know the history of the Bakumatsu era like I do ... then you know that pretty much everyone in the Shinsengumi dies in some tragic way (except Saito apparently IRL he lived to old age and all that).

Soooo unfortunately of course this applies to our loveable and amazing male lead as well, Okita Souji. Historically, he gets sick and dies of tuberculosis, unable to fight alongside Hijikata and the last remnants of the Shinsengumi during the Boshin War. Like I said, this is all REAL LIFE HISTORY, so if you want "spoilers" about the actual overall events and plot of Kaze Hikaru just go onto Wikipedia and whatnot and research the Bakumatsu era and the Shinsengumi lolol. Because like I said, the mangaka put a LOT of research and effort to be historically accurate. Even about mundane things like the architecture of the buildings, the lamps they're using, the language, all of it.

LAST WARNING FOR THE ACTUAL MANGA ITSELF THOUGH

But since Kaze Hikaru is a SHOUJO and a historical ROMANCE, as I kept reading and translating the manga I was like, "No way they'd actually kill off Souji right? RIGHT?! Like maybe yeah he'll get tuberculosis but somehow he'll survive it right and just have a happy ending with Sei right? RIGHT?!" WELL FUCK ME AND FUCK ALL OF US ENGLISH READERS CUZ NO THATS DEAD WRONG. THATS RIGHT HE DOES DIE. And it's in such a sad and depressing way too like wtfff, I did not want to read a shoujo to just witness our beloved main lead die in such a slow and painful way and our female lead just so heartbroken.

And get this. This the real kicker in the balls. Lemme preface this by saying I didn't actually read the last chapter. I literally couldn't find it anywhere online, even in Japanese. I searched a long time but yeah no one has uploaded the last chapter, illegally or otherwise. But what I DID find were a LOT of amazon reviews about the ending because clearly people had a lot to say about it. That's why I know the GIST of what the ending is. So I can't give anymore details than what I know okay. Read my "Discontinuing Scanlations" post, and you'll see I already admitted to this. So yeah, the way the manga ends ends is basically yeah Souji dies and .... Sei has a kid with Hijikata???????????? And a lot of the reviews were saying something about it being sus and like dubious consent/maybe even rape????? Idk I'm not that fluent so I couldn't really tell if people were saying it "felt" like a rape or "was" a rape, BUT STILL WTF.

YOU HEARD ME YALL. IM LITERALLY NOT FUCKING WITH YALL, THATS WHAT HAPPENS. I AM DEAD SERIOUS.

I was so genuinely shook and distraught and lemme say THE JAPANESE READERS WERE SHOOKETH TOO. LIKE THE AMOUNT OF REVIEWS OF JAPANESE PEOPLE EQUALLY GOING "BUT WHY THO???" The amount of reviews that were like "I read this manga from start to finish for 20 years ... what a disappointment." LIKE AHHHHHHH. The Japanese reviews all seemed to agree that Sei having a kid with Hijikata was just so damn random and nonsensical, especially taking in the fact that Hijikata always had a neutral/tolerant attitude towards Sei, and no romantic feelings. People also pointed out that Sei having a kid and just going back to being a woman and all that COMPLETELY didn't align with the story's message about Sei being strong and bushi and rejecting her feminine side for something she saw as a higher purpose.

One review deadass said something like "Maybe it would've been better if Sei just died after Okita did." LIKE FR THOUGH ☠️☠️☠️

Back when I first wrote my "Discontinuing Scanlations" posts, reviews were more split 50/50 if the ending was good or not. But after rechecking today so I could write this post, it's like majority bad reviews now lolol. People were that disappointed and upset by the ending and yeah same.

SO THERE. YALL GOT ME TO CAVE AND REVEAL WHAT THE ENDING PRETTY MUCH IS. If your Japanese is a lot more fluent than me/you wait another decade, then you'll get a more detailed understanding of the ending, but like I said that's the basic gist of what happens and what all the Japanese readers were upset about. Julie and the Phantoms Backstory Headcanons!

* They met in, like, fifth-grade band class, or somewhere super obscure and everyone was like? Okay then? (Reggie's parents genuinely thought that his friends were imaginary for a solid three months, before Alex came over and they were actually, genuinely, shooketh.)

* Alex was the worst storyteller when he was a kid and so he would say the most random details and never actually get to the story. Like: "Yeah, so, today at recess, we were standing there. And Luke has brown hair, did I say that?" Like, literally the most random crap and his parents get so annoyed cause that's most of dinner so he just stopped telling them eventually

* I get major "Alex has three older sisters' vibes and I have no idea why. One of them is fiercely protective of him, and it's her garage studio thing that him and all his friends live in eventually, and then she sells it once he dies cause yeah.

* I like to think that Alex had a crush on Luke for, like, years, when they were younger. And he was like, 'nah, I'm straight this guy is just super cute and I want to kiss him half the time.' And then, by, like, the time they were 12 or whatever and Reggie kept bringing up cute girls he was like 'I couldn't care less?? Why are you saying this??' And then he was like 'OH" and that was that.

* Reggie's family seriously disapproved of all of his friends. Cause they were too rebellious? And they didn't want Reggie being rebellious? So Reggie hung out with them more? To the point that they couldn't even care, just don't bring them in the house.

* I think that for most of their lives, before actually starting a band, Luke's family was the safe one for all of them? Cause once Alex realized he was gay home was just scary for him cause he knew growing up his parents were BAD. And no one wanted to hang out at Reggie's house cause there was always yelling and throwing things and crying from his baby sister so Luke's house, and his great parents, became the spot to be.

* Emily cooking for all her not-children. That is all, thank you.

*But also Reggie being genuinely surprised that she actually cooks food, cause his life is either 'make it yourself with whatever we have' and 'takeout' and 'leftovers.'

* She finds out about this and makes a point of asking the boys to help her sometimes. Luke thinks it's super embarrassing, but she has Reggie help her with chopping food and Alex has to set the table and they secretly love it.

* Alex is definitely the 'Sorry I'm here I don't belong here I feel bad for being here sorry' friend, and Emily is just like: No, you're my kid too. Set the table.

* Reggie is the friend that would offer to do the dishes after dinner and Emily's just horrified by that because he's a guest?? He's just used to the 'If you make a mess, you clean it, because there's no way I'm dealing with your crap I have better things to do.'

* I feel like Bobby came in after they were already friends, but he also might have been a family friend? Or he moved and Luke was like 'This dude needs friends, c'mon guys. We're gonna be his friend now.'

* He puts up with Reggie's absolute randomness the worst of all of them, which just makes it funnier for Luke, who's just used to playing along with it by now.

*Luke is probably the first to get a date to the dance, always, and it pisses everyone else off because 'What the heck dude? It got announced three hours ago how did you get a girl so fast?'

* Bobby has an older brother, and I think he's like... Not super nice to girls. Takes 'em for granted, isn't kind at all, cat-calls, cheats on girls, all that, and Bobby acts like that once (1 time) and Luke, Reggie, and Alex have a very, very long conversation with him because 'NO, YOU DON'T CATCALL GIRLS. YOU DONT. ITS RUDE, BOBBY." As in, they were genuinely shocked because they've just grown up not doing that, thank you very much.

* He never does it again. Ever.

* They actually start a band when they're in their first year of high school. They aren't very good, everyone's still getting used to even play instruments, and they don't even think about writing songs. They just like to meet in Luke's garage because it's a safe place.

* The idea for a band comes when Reggie mentions he plays the piano. And the bass. And he's learning the banjo. And Luke is like, 'I got a guitar thing, we could play together sometime.' And Alex is just. Hit drums, see what happens. Bobby actually knows how to play, so he's just humoring them when he messes up or whatever.

*Luke is absolutely the most devoted to the band, mostly cause it's his house, but also because it's his thing? Ya know? He loves it so much and he gets to hang out with his friends and it's just great.

* He started writing a song cause he was pissed off at school and at life in general and it ended up being pretty good? The band liked it and whatever, so he just kept going, and they progressively got better and better.

* Alex wrote a few songs, too, but he didn't like 'em as much, so he just kept them away until Luke found 'em and was like 'Dude. We're playing this.'

* After, like, a year, they start getting pretty good, they call themselves 'Sunset Curve' cause I don't even know why, and they just go along with it.

* They do a lot of school dances, at first. All of them. And then they started playing outside of clubs. And then in clubs, as opening music and whatever. They just moved their way up.

* Playing the book club was Alex's idea cause his sister was in charge of organizing it and almost no one was gonna come otherwise.

* I think that Alex came out on accident. I think he was just hanging out with his friends in Luke's garage or something and Luke asks him about a girl or something, cause their little group is always open with who they'd like to date, and Alex just shrugs and is says something like, 'Not really into girls." And it takes Luke, like, two days to be like, 'OH.' And then he's a supportive friend cause 'Eh, guys are cool too.'

* I really get the 'I'm not homophobic, but-' vibes off Bobby. Sorry.

The 'eligible young man' instance

He saw the ominous figures approach. Three tall individuals with pointy ears and strange clothes, looking at him with unreadable expressions.

"Hes not in any pain right now, it should be fine to talk to him." Said Ewelein, he remembers who she is. "Right Kassvin?" He muttered 'yeah'. Shortly after that, a fourth tall individual joined them.

One that Kassvin had to make a move on. "Damn, shawdy, can I have your snapchat?"

"Excuse me?" He said with his silver hair, flawless skin and golden eyes that had something hidden in them. Does he have secrets? Well, everyone has secrets, but are they diffrent than anyone elses secrets?

"Apologies, I must be moving too fast..." The four of them looked a bit confused, they must be wondering why hes hitting on someone he quite literally just met. "To what do I owe this.... visit?"

"Well." Began the tall individual with a weird cage on a stick in her hand. "I'm Miiko, the leader of the guard. I've been told you're not at your best right now so Its okay if you can't help us out, but we would like to ask you some questions."

He sat up in the hospital bed, it was not without difficulty but he was not the kind of guy to avoid formalities. One of these tall individuals, the blue haired guy, tried to help but he declined. The stranger backed away to let him do his thing.

"Kassvin Tamdar Blavio'su at your service!" He bowed his head and promptly fell over. If it wasn't for the armor clad beauty he would have hit the floor, but he caught the human before his brain damage membership got renewed. "Thankkya~"

He was gently placed on the mattress and blinded by the light of heaven emitting from the lamp above. He didn't feel like moving anymore after this previous mishappening of him allmost deleting even more of his already sparse braincells.

"Great!" Miiko said. "This is Nevra, Ezarel and Valkyon," She briefly adressed the men in the room, pointing at each of them as she said their names. "They're not going to ask you anything but I would prefer if they were present. You don't mind, do you?" She spoke with a honeyed voice, carefully choosing her words.

Kassvin looked at the tallest of these tall gentlemen. Valkyon, thats such a strange name, but hes so damn hot!! "I sure don't mind him being around~" He said, nearly melting into the cotton sheet under him. He was rocking a blush so intense it cut through his summer tan.

"I see." She looked like she couldn't believe this was really happening while Ezarel and Nevra had way too much fun at the back. Valkyon almost seemed unaffected, but he had a certain kind of glimmer in his piercing amber eyes. A glimmer that said 'Shooketh'.

"We found you in the forest with injuries so severe, you would have died without immediate medical attention. I would like to know how you, a human in earthian clothes, got into this situation." She said with stone cold seriousness.

"I.... I don't really know. Where are we anyways?" He said with a vocal fry from begining to end.

"The guard of El, Eldarya." The woman said. "Can you describe the fight in detail, if you feel comfortable."

"Well, I-" He looked flustered. Maybe because the tall dark and handsome object of his immense desire kept looking at him. He's shyyyy okay?? "I dont remember any attack happening, how awkward...." He made eyes at his newfound muse, hoping that he takes the bait and flirts back. Hes so high....

"Okay, well." Miiko doesn't look pleased. "Well, when the incident occured, there happened to be a group of our guardians passing by. They heard the commotion and found that the fight was already over. The report states that first they saw the bodies of unknown warriors and then noticed you on the ground as a certain somebody was trying to stop you from bleeding out. Do you know who that person was?" She isn't that nice anymore. Must be dissapointed in him, Kassvin thought.

"I think I do, but I'm not sure. I don't remember ever interacting with them but I can recall how safe I felt when they saved my life."

"YOU KNOW HIM?" The weird contraption in ther hand set ablaze in blue flames. The man named Nevra stepped closer to her in an effort to ground her. "YOU?!?!"

He was at a loss for words. "I don't know? I don't remember anything!"

"Hhmmp!" She massaged her temple.

A tired looking nurse opened the door to the secluded room. "Everything okay?" He asked. Hes the one who looks like every tumblr aesthetic from 2013-2016 combined into a racially ambiguious (its a ridiculous word, lemme help you pronounce it: AM-BIG-YOU-OUS) but white passing twink. You know, the one that looks like exactly the kind of person who has seven diffrent versions history makers on his playlist.

"Yes, don't worry." She said. He left with a nod.

The four leaders turned around to find Kassvin striking a ridiculously dramatic pose, looking like Giorgiones Sleeping Venus. He sucked a delicate little breath in then looked Valkyon dead in the eye with the most serious expression. "But, seriously. Are you eligible? Because in that case I would like to change that!"

The man was too stunned to speak, he would never recover. Nevra and Ezarel had to leave the room to maintain an air of formaility within it. Miiko just stood there, bevildered.

"Back to the matter at hand." She said. "You say you don't remember. Its possible that your head trauma caused memory loss. Is there anything that you DO know?"

He stayed silent, looking at the blinding overhead lighting. When the other two leaders returned, they could tell that something changed drastically.

"I remember nothing..." He muttered.

"Wait, nothing?" Valkyon spoke for the first time since entering.

"Nothing."

"There's no way, what are the chances of that happening?" He asked noone in particular.

"Okay, but will you go on a date with me when I get better?"
