im dating a guy
so i got pregnant yesterday i found out
yesterday i called him to surprise him he didn’t answer
so today i went early in the morning to his house to surprise him
i knocked on his door and my neighbor (girl) opened the door
he came and told me it’s not what i think i yelled at him and left and hes still calling.
what do u think
I’m not sure I understand. Let me explain it my words, let me know what I get wrong:
You are dating a guy. You found out yesterday you are pregnant, and you know it’s his. You went over to his house to tell him, and your neighbor was there, at his house. Then he came outside and yelled at you - OH. He wasn’t yelling because you’re pregnant, he was yelling excuses about why the chick is there.
Here’s what I think:
He’s fucking her, or he wants to be. He’s also a liar. He also yells at you. Fuck that guy. You do not want to co-parent a child with someone like that. If you haven’t told him you are pregnant yet, don’t. If you want a child then keep it, but dump that guy now before you get even more entangled. You have other options.
@plannedparenthood is a great resource.

is there a way to tell sort-of friends who are too cool for you “hey i struggle with making irl female friendships and i find myself friends with men who don’t give me even remotely the emotional support i need in a friendship, would you be down to hang out with me more and introduce me to your friends too” or is there a better way to phrase that or.

Hey
You
Yeah, you- fellow Rottmnt gremlin who lives for Draxum angst, and is likely starved for content because he's so underrated
I'm writing a fic about what Draxum and OC child were doing during the events of the movie. Draxum decided to take the bean with him to stand guard in the hidden city in case the Kraang find it and attack.
Long story short, someone's going to have to die briefly 🤣 but I keep running into this problem where I don't know how to realistically show Draxum being sad about something.
So since you have the "Draxum's nightmare" comic (It's amazing btw- I love it so much😭😭😭) -and probably other Draxum related things- I figured I'd ask you for advice :D
In short: HOW DO YOU BREAK THIS MAN???
I can make him scared to death for someone's safety, I can make him yell, I can make him laugh- But I just can't figure out how to realistically make him CRY.
Pls help also I love ur comic with my entire being :')
Simple…
Get him alone.
Some characters are harder to write crying than others, and Draxy boi is one of them. But every character has SOMETHING that will make them cry, and as a writer it is your job to find out how far you gotta push 'em before they crack.
Draxum strikes me as the type to keep his guard up and not show his emotions if there is an audience. But let’s say that his child is taken away. Let’s say he tries to get them back. Let’s say he goes to extremes and pushes himself to the limit and sees his child fight with everything they have to get back to him. Let’s say that this child proves to Draxum how strong they are and how much they care for him.
And let’s say that just before they make it to freedom… this child is taken away again. But not like before. Let’s say this child leaves in a way… they cannot come back from.
And Draxum is alone. After all that effort. After everything he did. After everything his child did. After ALL they went through together, after the bond was tested and proven and they were almost free—
(And as an added bonus, did the child get to say goodbye? If they are suddenly and INSTANTLY killed, that is devastating and shocking. You can show Drax desperately trying to get his child to get back up, wake up, we were almost at the finish line, this isn't fair, you can't leave yet! The mere shock that it happened at all could make Draxum cry. But let’s imagine that this kid gets hit bad, and knows that they won’t make it… Do that with the kid. Do they die in his arms with no words? Or do they finally tell him what he means to them, how they want him to move on, or worse — pull a “Mr. Stark, I don’t want to go” on him? Your choice!)
In conclusion, find a way to break him to his lowest and have him believe that he will be built back up. Find whatever he cares about most in the world...
Then kill it in front of him. 😊

Hello, i have it's ok to ask you. I've researched but couldn't find anything useful.
Im writing a fic where my oc (wangxian son, lwj doesnt know) has breached the lan barriers (bc of course wwx taught him how). He only intends to research in the forbidden section to find out more abt what ails wwx. Unfortunately he got caught by lwj himself. My questions are:
what's a reasonable/logical punishment for this type of offense (trespassing, maybe stealing a few books etc). Idk if this is heavy enough to warrant execution?
how would this change if they find out he's a lan heir? Like does the trespassing offense become void since you technically can't trespass on your own home?
Thanks so much for your help 🙏
Imma be honest, anon, I may not be the one to ask this question to. Idk what the time period of this fic is supposed to be (I’m assuming probably an alternate present where wwx didn’t die in the siege?) but nothing is “ailing” Wei Wuxian that needs to be solved, and I’m not sure how going through Lan-specific knowledge would help him, anyways. This fic also sounds like it might be based on cql, because I don’t think Wei Wuxian breaks the Cloud Recesses barriers in the novel? But if it’s cql-based, I def can’t help you 😭

what do i do if i’m nauseous and my tummy hurts all the time 😁😁😁
i’m sorry to hear that you’re in pain… i would strongly advise you to visit your local doctor to get to the root of the issue. nausea along with an upset stomach can occur for a variety of reasons, however if you find that it’s happening frequently, it’s important to listen to the signals and take appropriate action.
i sincerely hope that you find answers and relief soon, anon.

do you have any poetry collection recommendations/poet recommendations in general just to like Read?
boy do i ever!!!
okay i have two all time top favorite poets (not ranked in a particular order):
1. Louise Glück: There was actually an anthology published of all the books so published from the start of her career to 2012.
(Poems 1962-2012 is 600+ pages of incredible poetry and relatively cheap, especially for its size and considering poetry tends to cost more than fiction books)
Glück’s poetry is actually the reason I started reading more poetry in the first place. She writes both long form and short form poetry (with her more recent working being longer than a lot of her previous poems), and her language level tends to be pretty accessible.
She writes about hundreds of different topics, but reading from the anthology you get a large mix of themes about motherhood, love, and nature and she also has collections that focus on greek mythology as well as jewish religion.
She has won a Nobel Prize for her poetry, which I consider to be a pretty good way to gauge the caliber of her work!
Highly, highly recommend her work!!
2. Ocean Vuong.
I’ve read his three most recent works: Night Sky With Exit Wounds, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, and Time is a Mother.
On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous is actually a novel rather than a poetry collection but it reads a lot like poetry and I consider it to be an must-read.
A lot of his works center around his his experience as a queer, Vietnamese American and his relationship with his own intrapersonal identity as well as with his mother. I cant think of a single poem of his that isn’t absolutely incredible, and I think if you’re going to talk about the best poets of our age he’s a crucial mention.
I highly recommend reading his works in publishing order (which is the way I listed them above). His poetry is genuinely life-changing and I cannot stress how much I recommend his writing.
Outside of my two favorite authors I also recommend:
–Amanda Gorman, who is the youngest inaugural poet in U. S. history and is shaping the voice of modern poetry.
You can watch her recite her inaugural poem, “The Hill We Climb” here!
She also has published a collection of her poetry, Call Us What We Carry, which I read all in the same day I bought it because it’s brilliant and captivating.
—The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo, which is a fiction novel but the main character narrates the story through her own poetry, making it a poetry collection and a novel all in one. I read this for the first time when I was 13 and I pick it up again every single year.
(I do also highly recommend looking up trigger warnings for this book before you read it, because there are a couple scenes that can be intense!)
—The World Keeps Ending, and the World Goes On by Franny Choi. It’s likely you’re familiar with this quote from it (which i see circulating tumblr and pinterest all the time):
“Lord, I confess I want the clarity of catastrophe but not the catastrophe. Like everyone else, I want a storm I can dance in.
I want an excuse to change my life.”
And I can guarantee the rest of this poetry collection is just as poignant and beautiful! Highly recommend, 10/10 stars always.
—Pablo Neruda is also one of my favorite poets! I own a large collection of his poetry, The Poems of Pablo Neruda, which places the original poem, written in Spanish, next to the English translation, which I enjoy a lot. He also has a lot of well-known quotes that float around tumblr a lot, so that sense of familiarity can be fun, especially when you’re not expecting it!
Hope you enjoy these recommendations!
