anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.

A lot of people seem to think Sieun's and Suho's relationship is just sweet and lovey dovey and nice, and completely miss the darker, violent side of their connection. For hurting Sieun, Suho breaks Yeongbin's hand like nothing and sits there completely unbothered while that boy cries in pain at his feet. For hurting Suho, Sieun smashes Wooyoung's ankle with a dumbbell and leaves him screaming on the floor, utterly uncaring. I really like that with Orion, the wings on his audials are physically a part of him. Bound to him. They could be removed but it wouldn’t be as easy. They were given by Prima but Prima isn’t kissing the wings themselves, he’s kissing the top of Orion’s helm. Perhaps this suggests that Prima sees Orion as more of an extension of himself than anything, which Orion seems (at the VERY least) less than thrilled about.

Orion is Prima’s own precious belonging (which has very much been shown before)

Meanwhile with Dee, it’s an object separate from himself. A mask of who he WANTS to be, but doesn’t HAVE to be. He gets more freedom than Orion to be himself, even if he sees himself as an extension of Megatronous. He CAN be like him if he has to, but he can always pull that mask away to be Dee once again.

Then there’s how he’s embarrassed. Obviously this is just out of “oh he knows I have a mask of him” on the surface, but maybe it’s also deeper than that. The self-chastising of ‘how could I ever think I’d be like him’ which then is also the embarrassment then just being Dee.

I’m sure parts of this are probably wrong but it’s still fun to analyze about! Even if I probably read too far into it in some places haha

One of the more exasperating things about living a life on this planet has to be how doomed we are just to fall into the same pit one after another for infinite generations, even if you know the pit is coming up. It's a completely unavoidable event. Because you start out young and clever and there's all these well-meaning older people who will try to give you advice about the big picture things of being human

--and it's always some stupid trite bullshit. Despicable platitudes. If it was that easy, the world would be a different place, so you decide when you're old, you're going to say actual real meaningful things when you give advice and not just watery sop like this.

Then you get older and real experiences happen to you along the way, and you realise that's it. There isn't anything else to say. That's the absolute best advice we've got for saying the enormity of what you're feeling in these moments, stress-tested over a hundred thousand years of going through it. And it still sounds like sop, except you hear through that now to the truth inside.

And despite all this and how badly you want to warn them, no young people will ever be able to understand how genuinely and sincerely you mean it when you try to share this truth, and will only hear the platitudes and stupid trite bullshit. They won't really understand you, even if they want to believe you, because they can't. Not really. And you can't save them from going in the pit. They have to go in the pit. It's the only way.

You can even tell them that they will have to go in the pit before things begin to make a kind of sense, and sometimes they get a little mad at you because they already know everything and the pit sounds stupid. And it is. And they're still going to go in it. It will teach them and change them and then it will be their turn to be disbelieved by annoyed young people who they can't save from the future.
