“excuse me sir, i’m going to have to ask you leave.”

the guy turns out to be similar in age to yourself and your expression morphs into one of disgust as you think about how vile he must be trying to leave with some children.

"huh?" he voices his confusion as he stops jumping and peers down at you with the little boy clutching onto your hand "what's wrong megumi?"

the boy whimpers as he stands behind you and you instinctively extend your arms to cover him as you glare at the white haired man who's approaching you "sir, i am asking you to leave before i'm forced to call the cops." you grit your teeth and gojo's expression falls and the young girl he was accompanying joins your little group.

"megumi!" she gasps and places her hands on her hips "you can't keep doing this." she scolds with a finger wagging at the boy who's stepped out from behind you, tears long gone and donning a deadpan expression.

"i was close, tsumiki." he pouts and the girl in turn grabs his cheeks in a pinch and you look at the two kids in confusion before feeling a tap on your shoulder and you look up to see the not harasser-harasser smiling down at you.

"hi, sorry about the scare, i'm their guardian and the kiddo loves playing pranks like that." he apologises with a carefree expression and your face slacks.

"you're their guardian?? aren't you my age??" you ask and he laughs merrily as he waves his hand.

"don't worry your pretty little head about it, it's a long story." just as your neck begins to heat up you're poked once more by the kids and watch as tsumiki forces her younger brother to apologise for bothering you and spreading false information about his legal guardian who is putting a lot of effort and time into raising them- you doubt those words were truly coming from either of the kids.

"it's fine," you sigh and crouch in front of megumi one more time "just maybe think of pranking him another way like putting dye in his shampoo or something like that instead of potentially needing to have someone bail him out of jail."

"oh, that's actually happened once before-" the "adult" adds in with a snicker and you shake your head.

I’m just very confused on why you guys think Jk Rowling is denying the holocaust. She isn’t denying the holocaust itself.

She said that Trans people weren’t the first ones to be persecuted, and that’s true. The Nazis primarily were against the Jews. She didn’t say that the trans people weren’t targeted at all as far as I know. Im very confused.

Alright. Since you wrote this from what I'm assuming is good faith, I will reply as politely as I can. Sorry if anything comes off as rude, I just have a somewhat blunt way of speaking and talking.

Despite being a best selling author of books with a political message, all of which smack you over the head with it, JKR isn't particularly good at making arguments for her beliefs. So, any confusion is alright, and forgiven, because she herself is a confusing debater.

So, *I* did not say she's denying the entire holocaust. I don't know what other folks are saying, but *I* never said she's denying the entire Holocaust-she was denying the very specific act, an atrocity really, of nazis burning books about trans people. However, denying any atrocity of the Holocaust is still, y'know, bad. To me, denying one aspect of it is just as gross and harmful as denying the whole thing. But that's me and my view.

Second, nowhere in the original tweet is the person in the screenshot that she's replying to saying that trans people were the first victims of the nazis. (see below). They aren't saying that at all, what they're saying is that trans books/research were burned by the nazis (Which. Uh. They were!). In her original post, JKR denied book burnings done by Nazis, specifically books about trans people. Which is verifiable and correct. The nazis did in fact do that. So yes, she's denying an aspect of the holocaust. That is objectively what she's doing.

Then, later (see below), likely because she was mad at this other girl for pointing out that her tweet is spreading false information (and again, is specifically denying an atrocity of the holocaust), Rowling herself is the one who switches it up from "Uh, nu uh never happened!" to "Well no no I'm just saying they didn't burn all of the books in Germany and that they weren't the first victims!"

The poster, Alejandra here, calls her out again (see below). Because she never said that! The person there in the original screenshot that she's posting also doesn't say that anywhere in their original tweet!

Then, instead of just apologizing, she decided to move the goalposts and accuse Alejandra of lying, specifically of lying about a point that JKR was the one to switch to, and then used an entirely different tweet to accuse this girl of lying about something she and the screenshotted person never even said. She's doing this because she's embarrassed that someone called her out for denying an atrocity of the holocaust, that's whats going on here.

Again: the person she was originally responding to didn't say that trans people were the first victims or that every last book on them in Germany was destroyed, and this Alejandra person certainly didn't say that either, so now JKR is quite literally accusing this girl (who she wasn't even originally arguing with!) of lying over a third separate person's tweet, and over a point that JKR herself was the one to switch over to in the first place. Because she's embarrassed and mad that she was called out as a denier of part of the holocaust over her first tweet.

And please don't give me the argument of "oh well technically Alejandra asked where anyone said that, though 🥺". JKR moved the goalposts and accused this girl of lying because she got embarrassed, and then pulled out a third separate person's tweet out, because she's simply embarrassed for being called out as a holocaust atrocity denier. She was so embarrassed and flustered over being a holocaust atrocity denier that she quite literally moved the goalposts of her argument instead of just apologizing for denying part of the holocaust. Like a normal person hopefully would.

If Rowling originally just wanted to argue that trans people weren't the first victims, then she should have posted a response to that second screenshot she had in the first place, instead of the one she originally posted. But we all have eyes here, and can see that what she originally did was deny an atrocity of the holocaust entirely through her original tweet. Everything after came through sheer embarrassment at being called out, and "no I'm just saying trans people weren't the first victims!" is deflection on her end, because she is embarrassed that she was called out and corrected.

TL;DR: JK Rowling is a holocaust atrocity denying bigot. That's it. That's what she's revealed herself as, and when corrected, she simply moved the goalposts instead of apologizing. That's a solid and morally sound reason for anyone to no longer consume her work if transphobia by itself wasn't enough.

Second of all.... holy fuck Inneskeeper has handled this horribly. I'm trying to extend the benefit of the doubt and say he just needs time, we all do, but it's very hard when he's been acting as though a day is enough time for everyone to get over the fear he spread.

It's really upsetting to see him bring up both his schizophrenia and his career as reasons why he was upset without ever actually uttering the words "I'm sorry, I was wrong." without needing to read between the lines.

It's a really concerning trend I've noticed reappearing now that actual celebrities and just plain old popular users are becoming more open with their mental health, that "I was having a psychotic break/I was having a manic episode/I was blah-de-blah" somehow taking the place of an actual apology. As if explaining it means you no longer have to take action or responsibility.

My feelings are mixed. Yes, I see that it would be terrifying to have your mental illness warp your perception of an event, but...you're not the only mentally ill person on Earth, and it's no less terrifying to be triggered into an episode by false information.

I have been asked by several followers to trigger tag #unreality because that kind of thing really messes with them. And the post was framed in a particularly triggering way—encouraging conspiratorial thinking by saying that there's a "media blackout" and that the official sources are downplaying the severity.

The post is still circulating as of this morning, and the misleading version is still hitting people's dashes and suckering people in. Why would you not just make it unrebloggable?

The Twitter OP makes me honestly furious, claiming that "the cops" "blew it up" when it was first responders putting their lives in danger to stop the burning train cars from exploding. It's so frustrating to see people acting like they're calling it a "controlled burn" to cover up idiotic mismanagement. The crews that responded to this accident at great potential risk to their lives don't deserve to be called cops and slandered for making the best decision they could have possibly made.

In general it's worrying how folks on social media are responding—by encouraging paranoia and mistrust by attributing malice or idiocy to the people trying to manage the accident.

Folks say "fuck cops" but they can't distinguish cops from firefighters and hazardous materials crews working to save lives. That's scary to me.

I don't think we know enough yet to ascertain the causes of the accident, but I want to caution against looking for a specific party to blame as being at fault, because...these things can happen even when we do everything right. As long as we use these hazardous chemicals to make things, this is always a possibility.

And it's not necessarily a "preventable" failure of society that we make and use PVC, either. One of the causes of how widespread plastics are is that they are genuinely useful materials with properties that no other materials have. PVC pipe is what probably makes the plumbing in your house. Before PVC, there was copper, which is incredibly expensive, has a tendency to burst with temperature changes, and corrodes and reacts with various chemicals.

And the sad fact is, environmental disasters like this happen a lot. Many of them worse than this.

Not too far from where I live, there was a case where tons of radioactive waste were dumped into a municipal landfill. This radioactive waste was being handled by workers who didn't know what it was and had no protection. This was a case of malicious dodging of regulations. Mining coal creates radioactive and toxic waste that is constantly mismanaged. I was doing reports on local environmental news for my geology class a while back and many of the coal mines in Eastern Kentucky have a hundredfold violations of environmental and safety regulations, and companies usually dodge responsibility.

I hope this incident inspires people to think and talk about environmental regulations and rights of workers in the rail industry. What with the railroad strikes going on, I think it's worth considering that this is why we need to look out for the welfare of rail workers—you want the people handling the shipment of hazardous chemicals to be well rested and well protected.

As a fellow Nagito analyst, I just wanted to say that Nagito's sexuality isn't confirmed and it's best to not say he's gay since there isn't any proofs proving that statement. Sure he might like Hajime, but that's not much of a clue to come to that conclusion.

The definition of gay is being attracted to the same gender and not to the opposite gender. Which means unless he outrightly states that he doesn't like women like he does with men, or he *only* likes men, then he's not confirmed gay. Just because you see he doesn't interact with women much doesn't make him nonchalant about women.

Oh of course! I never said he was canonically gay I said I believe he is gay and that it's my interpretation. I have reasons to believe this and I just skimmed over one of them just in case I sounded biased, that way if the person dislikes my statement they have context as to where it's coming from. I'll probably do a post eventually on the weird state of canon when it comes to relationships and sexualities with the Danganronpa games, as well as maybe some more posts on Nagito's weird state of sexuality. We've seen him be interested in Hajime and Izuru in ways that imply romantic feelings or straight up are that way, It is undeniable he has interest in men but there's no confirmation about what he feels about other genders or any other details. I certainly wouldn't go as far as to say it's an unsubstantiated claim though? He shows attraction to men, regardless of the intricacies he falls under the usage of gay can be an umbrella term. I'm bi and I can say I'm gay and it still is accurate. But again, it is my interpretation and I don't think I said it was anything beyond that.

Nagito avoids the question of sexuality altogether in Ultra Despair Girls and Q&as and I think it's sort of vague on purpose. Most of the mainline games are vague and, this may just be me, but I think Kodaka makes it vague on purpose so people can have their own interpretations. On his account he posts his own interpretations and they aren't really canon despite it coming from him, so I really think most of the vagueness is for the viewers to have fun with. Danganronpa 3 is an exception to many of the typical rules of the franchise. I'd say having vague relationship statuses and sexualities is a pattern with the series just like how they use pink blood. Once I'm able to I definitely want to dedicate posts to these topics!

This woman has let the world believe that Tenoch is a rapist that goes after little girls for SIX days before adding context. No one has picked up on the latest statement she released, so the world still believe Elena's first statement. Even if Tenoch manages to prove his innocence somehow, there's gonna be people that won't know because it won't be spread as major news like the accusation was/they will still decide to believe Elena by default because she is a woman. This makes me so so mad. His name is stained, his reputation ruined, his career and life will never be the same. And for what? I hope he sues her into the ground and gets every last penny from her.

Unfortunately, it does seem that her statement which, from my interpretation doesn't accuse Tenoch of anything criminal, is not getting as much distribution as her previous tweets.

It's disheartening. I've already seen people who have dropped Tenoch since the initial allegations not wanting to put in the work to understand what is really happening. They choose to side with her because of the 'minute chance that she is telling the truth' which seems incredibly unfair.

Tenoch announced that he was leaving his current project. And he has been edited out of the teaser trailer for The Chosen One.

He does have a legal team, and I hope he can at least sue her for loss of revenue and employment due to her claims. I feel that with Disney/Marvel regaining the rights to Namor that they may aid him if this continues to grow as an issue.

I know defamation cases are hard to prove as it is, and the Mexican judiciary system is not the best. But I hope people can see through all the clutter.

I've personally had to delete a few anons that have been incredibly hateful. A few accused me of misogyny because I didn't believe Elena from the start. I remained neutral until further information was released. There are also others that say men don't need defending regardless of if they are innocent because the world is always on their side. This has been proven to be untrue in the face of the countless acts of racism against Tenoch and other males, some that resulted in death or false imprisonment.

I believe those accused have a right to defend themselves.

I believe that accusations without substantiation are invalid.

I believe that the impact accusations can have on someone's life, especially those without evidence, can truly be horrific.

I am incredibly disheartened that Elena chose to lie and overblow her experiences. I feel for her and her broken heart but what she did is a step back for the feminism she supposedly fights for.

I hope she realizes what she's done is far worse than Tenoch's act of ghosting her and leading her on. She has once again put a target on his back and it is no doubt having an incredible impact on not only Tenoch, but his family. I made the mistake of clicking in a comment section of his. All the 'you signed a pro-genocide letter, I wont let you forget it'. I just want to scream he fcking didnt!!! Its not greatly worded in hindsight but it just calls for release of all hostages. It was also done when there was still a fuckton of misinformation about what was actually happening.

The thing is they don't care. They enjoy being bullies, and whats more fun to them that piling on someone and being seen as 'morally right' for doing so?? Hey! Sorry this is delayed, I've been swamped since last night. There is so much out there about reading comprehension and intent that I think a lot of people are missing. It drives me crazy. The letter was poorly worded, but if anyone actually took a moment to read it, it was supporting freeing hostages, condemning actions, NOT promoting genocide. I saw a comment on IG that said "You support sending weapons to murder people" and it was like, what? That letter said nothing of the sort, stop spreading false information. Jeebus. And you're right-- there was SO MUCH misinformation back then, I readily admit I didn't know what was going on at that time. We learn, we make changes, but now people take this and they try to destroy any public thing that he does. You're right, they don't care, they just enjoy being angry on other people's behalf, people who need other kind of help, not anonymous internet bullying. I'm sure they're out there doing other things, but all yelling at a celebrity does is push more hate and violence into the world, not less.

Not one person in Gaza is sitting there wanting people to yell on instagram at celebrities uninvolved in the genocide. They want clean food, water, medical supplies. They want to stop being murdered. Taika is not causing any of this and their fake "activism" does nothing but cause pain. Every ounce of effort someone puts into commenting on a celebrities post could be used to do literally anything else.. like putting it on their congressman's posts. At school there is one girl (my ex bestfriend) who always says something behind my back, but she never says anything directly to me. The problem is that her gossip is to expose me as a liar & gossiper in front of everyone, so many people believed in it and now I don’t have the normal relationship with 30-40% of the girls from school.

What can I do in this situation? Can you share some advices?

Hi love! Catty people are such a headache. I'm sorry you have to deal with this two-faced girl who was supposed to be your friend (or at least a decent human being). Here's my take on these types of situations.

If people are taking the time to create lies and spread gossip about you behind your back, it typically means they care to spend their free time thinking about you – being you're probably doing something right. Anyone who exerts so much effort into trying to shape someone else's reputation either admires. envies, or feels intimidated by you in some way. Relish in this confidence boost when this dynamic starts to feel stressful in certain situations. They're trying to leech off of your positive and admirable qualities. Remember how sad it must be for them to have to piggyback off of someone else's personality and life milestones instead of cultivating their own.

The best thing I think to do is focus on yourself and spend your energy towards reaching your own goals/exploring your interests & hobbies. You know your truth, so unapologetically call out any false accusations as they come up in your conversations or interactions. However, it is a waste of your energy and only fuels this girl's ego if you go out of your way to clear your name. If she can't address a problem directly, it shouldn't exist in your mind between you two, and, especially if people learn this information, will know there's likely at least some validity in your claims.

Insecurity is often loud, while confidence remains quiet. Making noise is frequently a tool used to compensate when insecure people know those they envy/feel interior to are uncomfortable with living in their truth.

Ignore the noise unless you need to stand up for yourself. Confidence is quiet. Remaining unbothered yet speaking your truth shows how little you have to hide. These qualities show you're the one who's truly comfortable with yourself.

It really sucks being afraid to speak to people because I don't know how they are going to react if I let it slip out that I am Jewish and Israeli.

I don't know if I will get support or attacked (not necessarily physically, but verbally). I can't express my feelings about the situation my people and family are in, but can only listen to others and try to insert facts as carefully as possible...

Watching how Jews are being singled out and harassed by Pro-Palestinian protesters makes me nervous about revealing I am Jewish.

And sometimes the support from others is nice, but it can lead to vitriolic sentiment from non-Jews and non-Israelis which I also don't want.

I don't want innocent civilians dead. But I support Israel defending itself against Hamas who uses innocents as shields. But there is no way to have a civil conversation about it.

Not when I have seen people, even on this platform, say "Tear down those 'Kidnapped by Hamas' posters, because fuck Israel!" because they support innocent civilian Palestinians, but will not support innocent civilian Israelis. And they don't see how fucked up that is.

They don't see that months ago, when talking about right wing politics they used phrases like, "If Nazis are marching with you, maybe you're the bad guy." But don't see that at Pro-Palestinian marches there are Nazi flags and antisemitic shouts and cries from the people among them should make them question who is arranging and attending these protests.

There's so much I see, and I don't feel safe. I never fully felt safe. I have faced enough antisemitism in my life when people have found out I was Jewish, that I always knew it was around. Added bonus for being born in Israel. But seeing how people have been so vicious, spreading lies and propaganda from Hamas without ever researching it or actually looking into anything - going so far as to say things like Oct. 7th never happened and there are no hostages, even though Hamas has proven itself that it has done all the horrible things and will continue to do so - and will believe Hamas' lies about Israel even when proven to be false... How can I trust anyone?

I don't scroll through Instagram anymore because it makes my stomach tense, hoping I won't see something posted that is a lie or pushing an idea that will only make things worse. And its hard to scroll through Tumblr because suddenly there is "Fuck Israel!"

I know there are people who understand what it's like to not feel safe in the world... To worry where an attack may come from. To worry when someone is going to say something that is messed up or fucked up around you - especially if they don't know who or what you are. It's a constant tension. I low level always had it because it happens to me from time to time, but there is no where safe. Not even online. And I could unfollow people, but I don't want to isolate myself or judge people or disconnect... I don't want to live in an online echo chamber where all the information is the same... I just wish it wasn't so hateful.

So, yeah... I am afraid to speak and constantly watching what I say. Listening to conversations around me seeing lies and misinformation spread on social media, and feeling isolated by places I once felt connected to.

I have been waiting weeks for this phone call I were anxious because they told me they would call and its been over a month now,  I were sure that I hadn't got the part so you just gave up. Then the phone started to ring. I look at Chris whose seated next to me on my couch.

-ON THE PHONE-

"Hello" I say answering the phone

"Yes hello is this (Y/N) (Y/L/N)?" The random person asks

"Yes this is she. Who am I speaking to?" I ask with visible confusion on my face.

" Hi,(Y/N) This is Joss Whedon and I would love to congratulate you on getting the role of the new love interest for Captain America, Loellie Saint in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe 'The Avengers'.I believe you already know what the backstory of your character is right?" Joss asks.

"Yes I do" I say while freaking out silently while looking at Chris who is more confused from before.

"Great, we'll love to have you come in a couple of days for your screen testing. We'll text you the information" Joss says.

"Alright thank you so much" I have a huge smile plastered on your face while having your back towards Chris.

"No worries, Take care we'll see you soon" He says.

"Bye" I say.

I hang up and start jumping up and down in excitement. Chris is sitting on the couch smiling at me because he knows the news I just received because he's the one who put in the good word about me after my audition

"OMG OMG OMG" I jump around while Chris is laughing in confusion.

"I got the part!" I push back and look at him.

"I know" He smiles while looking at me.

"What do you mean 'I know' Christopher?" I look at him.

"Well, I may or may not have put in a good word for you because I know you've been dying to start acting. That's why I told you about the audition" He looks at me while trying to keep a straight face.

Me and Chris have been friends since high school and he knew how much I wanted to get into acting and get into the Marvel. I've acted in big movies and I'm well known. Well at least in my eyes.

Me and Chris have risen to fame together but Chris is mainly is the famous one out of the both of us. I really didn't mind, but what was mostly annoying was the paparazzi and the media. They would spread false information about me and Chris' relationship. Even though me and him are just best friends. I would join him at his interviews because of his anxiety and mostly for moral support and people kept reading it wrong and thinking we were together because of how much time we would spend time together.

"Chris.. You know you didn't have too right" I kinda feel bad because he had to go through all that pain just to get me this role.

"I know, but I just wanted to give you an opportunity. And you can spend more time with me" He says as he wiggles his eyebrows while getting closer to me and pushing me softly with his shoulder

"Like I don't spend enough time with you already Chris" I laugh at his actions.

"Wow i'm deeply hurt Y/N" He puts his hand on his heart and pretends to be hurt by my 'hurtful words'

I laugh and slap his arm softly

"You're such a dork" A bit of your accent had come out and you rolled you eyes

"Steve Rogers and Loelle Saint, super solider fight crime fighting couple" He moves his hands over his face like he's presenting the newest iPhone or something.

"You're honestly so weird Christopher" I laugh while rolling your eyes

"Yeah yeah" He smiles

I shake my head while crossing my arms again keeping a straight face.

"These few months will be the best" He looks at me with his mischievous smile telling me to buckle up for the pranks he has up his sleeve.

"Oh god" I groan and put you face in your hands

Chris laughs and stands up

"Come on, Me You and Sebastian are going out to celebrate you" He says as he gets up and walks to the door.

"Okay... what time should I be ready" I stand up and look at him. I honestly didn't want to go out. I just wanted to sleep.

its kind of wild the intentional stupidity some people have. “we shouldn’t expect much from ccs. remember they already disappointed us with dream” okay but you know that’s because they knew he was innocent right. like yes they didn’t drop him but also the accusations were unsubstantiated. the way they continue to talk about dream as if he’s a confirmed groomer but don’t actually say it because they know it’s not true. “remember what happened with dream” yea bitch you were wrong that’s what happened (sorry i needed to vent 😭)

like in some cases, i'm willing to brush it off as ignorance or stupidity. mostly in the cases of a lot of people who haven't really looked into anything themselves and therefore have a pretty damn biased view of the situation. still not great, especially considering the severity of the allegations (like, i'm sorry but false allegations irl and in content creator spheres have literally ruined people's lives before they are far from victimless???? we have documented evidence of this happening????) but at the very least it's more believably from a place of genuinely not knowing (though it's not like they're trying to know either)

that being said, a lot of the loudest of the group, the avid drantis who won't shut their mouths about him and have decent followings on whatever platform they frequent and have established themselves as a sort of moral authority on the situation? whether it's on twitter or that collection of former dsmpblr big blogs, i'm sorry but nah. these people aren't approaching the issue from a place of ignorance. these people know exactly what they're talking about; they just don't give a damn. they've proved thoroughly that more than they care about advocating for literally anyone, they need to preserve their goddamn reputations. these same blogs repeatedly invoking dream in this scenario despite his having nothing to do with it (because obviously they dropped dream, so they're good people. or obviously the content creators Showed Their True Colors when they didn't immediately denounce dream. or dream made it clear that this community isn't safe from bad, manipulative men emphasis on the MEN!!! or what have you) often literally just so they can pat themselves on the back - scrambling over each other in order to see who gets to stand on the highest soapbox to preach? like.

it's one thing for people to just dislike dream, or to have dropped him during the allegations. i don't bear ill will for those things alone - when the allegations dropped, in the time when we were waiting for a clear final response, i don't blame anyone for choosing the paths that best suited their comfort levels. we all looked at what we had and made our own individual decisions. but it's not february 2023 - now, a full year later, seeing these people literally continue to treat the allegations in the exact same way? speaking about how dream was revealed to be abusive! we should have known better! ccs didn't act then of course they won't act now the entire collection of dsmp men are raging misogynists at best and literally all abusive at worst !!! yeah, fuck off.

there were two claims in all of this of dream being involved with underage individuals - anastasia was literally over 18??? of the two, one story was spread without her consent (as is confirmed not only by her literally asking to be left alone at the start of this, but also by dream and the informant of the burner, who said that she thought the burner would get in contact with the person at hand, directly implying that they never did) and all parties directly involved have stated that no grooming occurred, with retractions taking place on every level. the informant corroborated the statement dream gave for the alleged victim in his video independently after being thrown under the bus by the burner account, and even the other person involved in all of this who was literally hating on dream the entire time on her own twitter corroborated his claims as well. continuing to spread these claims is a kick in the face to the literal person people claim to be trying to protect by championing her as a poor victim and shoving her name and account everywhere when she didn't ask for any of this - believe victims, until the victim is telling you to shut the fuck up after her account was propped up for the entire internet to ogle at without her consent and multiple people dug into her information without asking her supposedly "for her sake". the second story, the original allegations made against dream in 2022, has had multiple people who knew this woman personally (and included picture proof to show that they did) come out independently and say that she's a liar. on top of this, allegations against the accuser have come out (with a whole lot more proof of manipulation than was ever present in the case with her accusations against dream!) and been corroborated by, again, someone who knows the accuser personally, and these allegations have included the fact that certain elements of the original allegations against dream were faked, something that supports what dream said in his video, on top of the other proof provided. but you know, believe victims - not that one, though, or that one. and everyone knows that if you're falsely accused of a crime, then you're not a victim. obviously.

time and time again these people have not only shown that the only victims they're at all willing to listen to are the ones convenient to their story (and the ones that aren't get to be shouted over, ignored, and twisted for use in their own agendas) but they've also repeatedly twisted information to best fit their personal narratives. these people have skin in the game, you know? they didn't exactly approach the situation with dream quietly. they have staked a lot on dream's guilt, including their own personal moral soundness - they've spent over a year of their lives assuring themselves that they're not like the dirty dream stans, they took the allegations Seriously and have denounced a Dangerous Bad Man. the existence of other victims challenges that story, and so they can't acknowledge their existence at all. maybe i'd be less bothered if these weren't the same people who seem so fucking devoted to their being perceived as Authorities On Abuse, who have championed themselves as protectors of the hurt and downtrodden, who go on and on and on about how they take these things with utter seriousness and how much victims matter to them - only to let their internal biases and sheer self-righteousness prompt them to ignore any "victim" that doesn't suit their favored narrative. god forbid these people admit that they were wrong! god forbid they admit that they spent a year of their life in their circles preaching hellfire and brimstone against an innocent man, god forbid they admit that they've harassed people out the door of their circles and been proud of their efforts based on falsified information, god forbid they spend a damn inkling of their time reflecting on their own hypocrisy.

With more allegations coming out every day, I also want to remind people to be cautious believing everything you see online and using it to harass others. I see "well there's text messages" used a lot and I want everyone to remember how easy it is to be faked. It took me less than ten minutes to get a text from both Michelle and Barack Obama

If I took a little longer, I could fake whole conversations. I could even provide a number that isn't my own. I could include timestamps over days, weeks, months even. Screenshots are very easy to fake these days. And anyone can say anything on the internet.

It's so important to listen to victims, but it's also important to form full and informed opinions on situations. You can believe victims right away if you feel like it, but don't harass people. Don't send threats or hate. Don't harass fans or send them hate. Wait until you can hear both sides and you can form a full opinion from there.

The thing about the internet is I'm able to log online and accuse anyone of anything at any time. Which is fantastic and awful.

It's amazing because real victims are able to come forward now more than ever and tell their stories.

It's awful because if you give everyone the platform to do this, there's tons of people who will misuse it.

So, what are some important things to ask yourself?

What is the quality of the evidence provided? (Is it easily faked information? Does something about it just strike you as off? Is there a lot of it or a little? Does the evidence's tone match up with the story provided? For example, did they say this person was sexting them and the evidence provided only ever had a "you're hot" or something similar message?)

What is the quality of the account saying it? (Is it blank or new looking account? Do they have any information that could identify them in real life? Do they have an actual username or one that was given to them when they signed up? Is the accusation really recent?)

Is the person they're accusing already a controversial figure or posts about controversial things? (Do they cover politics? Do they trend a lot? Do they have a large group of people who hate them? Have they had a recent controversy?)

Similar with the last point, but does a person benefit from spreading this accusation if it's false? (Would a lot of people use this against them? Do they have a lot of fame, especially recent or massive fame? Are they more popular than they've ever been? Have they recently done something big like start a company, face reveal, start doing music, get on a new platform, etc? Does the person accusing them have something they want a lot of people looking at their profile for? Such as music they make, videos, an OnlyFans, streaming, anything they would want to promote?)

Does the accuser have a history of posting weird and/or attention-seeking content? (Do they often try to get the attention of creators? Do they post exaggerated or purposefully interaction-baity things? Do they follow or interact with accounts that do that? Do they have a history of posting accusations similar about other people?)

Obviously none of these will give you the 100% correct answer. But its always important to look critically at things before forming an opinion on it, especially when it's something as serious as this.

We've been seeing more and more people fake accusations because the same thing happens every time. A huge majority of people immediately turn on that person being accused and publicly denounce them immediately. And when it is uncovered that the accusations were false, we hear the same things over and over.

"I don't care, you should still always believe victims first."

"Sorry."

"I guess we were wrong."

"I still believe them."

"It doesn't matter if they aren't an abuser, they're still shitty because x, y, and z."

Even if the accusations turn out to be 100% false, there's always going to be people who don't see that video or update. Theres always going to be people who still believe the accuser. There's always going to be people unwilling to hear their side. Theres always going to be people who distance themselves just in case. Theres always going to be people who don't want to be associated with an accused abuser, regardless of its truth.

Stay safe out there and always try to get the full story.
