A few days ago, I binged another manhwa in two days. What do I have to say about Academy's Undercover Professor? MC IS SO DAMN HOT???? AND BADASS??? SIGN ME UP!

Storywise, the twists and turns are really entertaining. I looked into the novel, if it was worth a read after LOTM. A lot of reviews aren't that kind, citing it is repetitive and cliché, but if it's done right, I enjoy that type of stuff. So I'm letting it marinate a bit, so it can have a good translation lmao

I adore smart, badass MCs, so this seems like my cup of tea. It's really interesting how we're 60 chapters in and we still don't know Rudiger's real name, only past fake identities. And those identities are impressive! He's like a jack of all trades, it keeps things interesting

Also, the fact that he needs to be cautious on multiple fronts really adds a bit of anxiety in the mix, it keeps me on my toes.

INCOMING PART 2

I’ve been thinking to much about a modern AU where Grogu is 15 instead of a baby. Luke is a cop and Din is (REDACTED)(literally no one knows what he does. ) or maybe he’s a fire fighter.

Grogu gets arrested because he took Din’s motor cycle out for a test drive and slightly wrecks it. (It’s actually his, but he can’t have until he’s 18).

Luke picks him up and is waiting for him at the police station. He’s there like wow, this kid is literally me when I was his age. But Luke was that way because his father is the police chief, and he was always striving to keep up with him. So hey, maybe Grogu needs someone another parental figure in his life, and Luke tries to bond with him in hopes it keeps the kid out of trouble.

But Grogu is just “What? No. My dad is great. I fucking love my dad.” And “My dad is going to come pick me up, and he’s going to be so disappointed in me. He’ll tell me he’s happy I’m ok, and that he’s disappointed in me. Then he’s going to give me the look, and I’m going to cry…. Then he’s going to call uncle Boba and he’ll be disappointed to.”

When Din gets their to pick him up after breaking several traffic laws in a panic, he looks terrifying. Luke is concerned for Grogu’s safety because this guy looks like he could be in the Mafia. He’s not… probably anyway. But he bee lines straight for Grogu and hugs him. He was so worried he wasn’t even speaking English for at least 3 minutes.

Luke falls head over heels in a second.

hot take but ply/pan/omni/abro ect people shouldn't have to come up with cited historical documentation of our identities and share deeply personal reasons as to why we use those labels in hopes that other queer people will decide we are actually worthy of basic respect

Ever think about how weird it is that Nate and Harry can go undercover as themselves? Or at least, previous but true versions of themselves?

Like they can, and will, go up to a mark like "Nathan Ford, IYS Insurance" or "Harry Wilson, lawyer" and just carry out the con. Admittedly, it only works if the mark isn't likely to look them up and see that they aren't employed anymore, but like, none of the others can do a con pretending to be themselves because they don't have past legitmate careers. (Eliot arguably does but "Eliot Spencer veteran" is way overshadowed by "holy fuck its Eliot Spencer)

If the others are using their own names they might still be pulling a con, but they're not like, pretending to be a past version of themselves that was genuienly true? I think the closest we get to that is with Eliot and Moreau and since they have history, I'd say that's it's own thing.

What if Obito was the child of the prophecy and not Naruto? Like Jiraiya was supposed to train him but he thought Minato was so after the training was done/Minato grew up, Jiraiya didn't focus on anyone else. Then Obito "died" and Madara saved him, taught him jutsu, his beliefs, etc etc bc J failed his duty so somebody had to step in & to go with the whole "could bring peace or destruction" part. Obito came to the full realization that how the world currently was wasn't right and seeing no other way that change could come without destroying the current world and making a new one where every previously deceased person was alive again. He then began a mission to achieve this all while the world around him continued to go crazier and each death was another he'd restore in the end. Finally, he caused the entire world to band together to bring him down and even though he left his destroy everything mission in the end, his actions caused the world to change somewhat for the better (the countries are friends, but children are still soldiers trained to kill but hey we have a mental health department to help 🤦, and the Uchiha memorial was moved wayyy out to the forest where its not even seen or taught about in school). I acknowledge Obito's involvement in the Uchiha massacre it was wrong obviously but he was planning on bringing everyone back in the new world. Plus if he didn't do it, the Konoha government would have right after via Itachi and whoever else. Obito at least planned to bring them back ya know?? Anyway... I would've LOVED Naruto ending if he was able to go through with the plan by bringing everyone back, Naruto + Co realizing that their way wasn't 100% good, and actually changing things. Oh plus, Obito was a BEAST. He was a very strong and talented ninja in his own right! It took thousands of Shinobi including sanin and kage to bring him (and Madara) down. They're thankful Kakashi had his other sharingan tbh or else it would've been game over lol... Like I'd love to see a Naruto au where Obito, Sasuke, and team Taka lead the new world change post war. Is there anything out there like this???
