Can I just say Wicked is THEE tragic lesbian romance of all time. Like, Glinda literally sings Elphaba's big solo with her??

Also I didn't realize how important Fiyero was going to be, so...they can have a throuple. If they like. (I fully believed he was going to either die, lose his memories/sense of self, or become completely irrelevant by the end of the story 😅) He was actually so dedicated to Elphaba, I did not see that coming! Also it's super interesting to me that it's implied he was undercover and lying the whole time he was with Dorothy? I'm honestly intrigued by how that played out. It's implied that he is primarily a man of action and doesn't really think things through, but there's also the possibility that he was somewhat deliberate in leading Glinda on to get the Captain position so that he could be at the forefront of the search for Elphaba.

(also. Very funny how The Captain = the only dude with a gun. Including the wizard. They would've all been fucked if anyone else could've shot him. Or at the very least he would've had to start murdering.)

But also personally I don't think he was Not Into Glinda. He just happened to become obsessed with someone else! If not for the Circumstances, they totally could've all three talked it out and made it work!

idk obviously the music is great, but I do feel like the plot and character development took a backseat, leaving the show with a rushed feeling. But also I am always hungry for plot and character development, so that could just be me.

But like idk I think there was some very real fear and maybe even hurt at the root of Glinda's need to be The Most Liked? Like, if you look at her behavior, she doesn't really seem to want anything with all that power, she's more scared of being without it. She doesn't feel like she'll be safe if everybody doesn't love her, which...doesn't happen for no reason, imo.

hello it’s me again!! i just read your latest fic (obsessed) and it’s got me thinking about Diana and Alma Coin. i was wondering if you had any thoughts or headcanons about them and their relationship that you’d be willing to share?

(the fic mentioned in ask. the fic people should read before that one.)

Hello!!! Always excited to hear from you! Also for everyone who doesn't read my fics, please note that the Diana here refers to my OC, Diana Ravinstill, not Diana Ring (although she is named after her). She's Felix, Artemisia (my other OC), and Festus' daughter, (Biologically she's Felix's and Artemisia, and they're in a throuple with Festus who co-parents her).

I think I mention this briefly in All That You Can Do, but these two definitely connect over grief. Coin loses a daughter and a husband before the events of Mockingjay and her life's probably been defined by all the limitations of living underground to escape the Capitol while Diana's life is also just equally defined by things and people she's lost.

They're both weirdly comfortable with how unsure they are of each other's genuine feelings/attraction to the other. There's always this element of Diana being a major source of the funds for the Rebellion while Coin is obviously Thirteen's president and has more political power than Diana. They both need each other to ensure their own power, they're both using each other a little bit, and somehow that gives them comfort. I think it stops them from thinking their relationship is too real or serious.

Going off that point, I imagine Coin is reluctant to see herself in a serious relationship because of having lost her husband and daughter and the pain of that while Diana saw what her parents' deaths had on each of them and entertaining a serious romantic entanglement would mean (to her) that she's liable to be hurt and fall apart in the same way

Of course, Coin dies and in any world except All That You Can Do, Diana's first reaction is 'well, of course, this happens.' I think after all the loss in her life. She'd just think it was the cherry on top of the cake that as soon as she gets the revenge she's spent nearly half a century waiting for, the woman she's been seeing gets assassinated.

Since Diana's personaliy/behavior changes a bit depending on what specifically happens with her parents. Close Your Eyes! Diana imitates more of Festus' old casual and laidback demeanor to hid her hurt, and I think that means that she and Coin are closer to the bickering dynamic of Festus and Felix which these women transform into something almost antagonistic while It's Still You! Diana leans into her more into a genuine personality that engages with issues that Coin might be having so in a funny coincidence the dynamic becomes more Artemisia and Felix.

(The fact that Felix ends up being the Coin parallel is alarming to me, resident Felix enjoyer who occasionally worries that my version of him will stray so far into the morally questionable that only I'll be able to love him... <- part of that could actually be a bad summary for It's Still You)

And also because I apparently love giving characters the hardest dynamic to explain ever (and I've mentioned this in at least one Author's Note), but I can imagine a throuple situation with Diana, Coin and Plutarch could exist, but Diana and Plutarch aren't actually involved with one another, because I headcanon (or is it just canon cuz she's my OC?) that Diana is a lesbian. (Honestly, idk if I'll ever make this in-text canon in one of my fics, but thinking about the absolute mess that this would make Thirteen's government in Mockingjay makes me laugh. Soap opera-level drama happening just outside Katniss' view.)

This was genuinely a very fun ask to answer, because I don't think many of these details will ever make it to an actual fic (although who knows?)! And surprised and delighted that someone wanted to know more about Diana and Coin's situationship.

I saw a post the other day about someone being pissed that people were calling Eddie gay instead of bi only because they couldn't handle more than one bisexual person on a show. Now, I didn't make Eddie gay/demi, he was born that way, BUT it got me thinking, because the whole crew feels very fruity? SO, I want to get your guys' opinions on what you think the rest of the characters are. (JUST the characters. We're not speculating on the actors. We all know this.) I'm going to put mine below & I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts :) These are by vibes only. As a definite demisexual and probable bi woman, idk how great my gaydar is, but sexuality is a spectrum & straight isn't the default, so let's go!!

Bobby - 0% fruity. That is a straight, middle aged white man (affectionate) if I've ever seen one.

Athena - Also straight.

Chim - Chim feels very straight to me, but that scene with the bachelor had me peering at him a little closer, because I've never watched the Bachelor, but it looked like Joey (I think that was the bachelor's name, right? I've never watched a single episode of that show so I have no idea) had been around before, so I couldn't tell if he was like, starstruck, or "Wow that's a pretty boy and it's making me feel things" -struck 😂

Maddie - I don't get many vibes from her either, but I also have a vague fic idea of Madney breaking up in s4/s5 and her ending up with Shannon instead, so idk, maybe she's just unlabeled but somewhere on the spectrum of queerness?

Shannon - Bi vibes

Taylor Kelly - 100% bi, I refuse to hear any other argument.

Lucy Donato - This is a pansexual woman if I've ever seen one, you cannot convince me otherwise. (Also, the most interesting AND likable of Buck's female LI's, argue with the wall. Lucy, they'll never make me hate you bby 🩷💛💙.)

Lena Bokso - Lesbian vibes, for sure. I don't think there was ANY romantic undertones with her and Eddie (Which, I'm not saying that's the only reason I think she's a lesbian. She can like men and not like Eddie. Even if she did, Eddie wasn't in a place to do anything with those feelings, but I saw a post about that pairing recently & wanted to throw my 2 cents in)

May Grant - May also gives off queer vibes, and I've seen other view her as full wlw, but I think she gives off more bi/pan vibes?

Ravi - This man is soommmeee kind of queer that I just cannot put my finger on. I've seen him HC'd as gay, pan, & ace in some way, and I can honestly rock w/ any of the 3 of them. All I know is that he is not a straight man lol.

Albert - Also unsure about him, but if someone were to tell me that he was bi, I could definitely see it. I think that's influenced by the fic that had him, Ravi & May in a throuple, which was genuinely so cute.

Ana - Dr. Flores doesn't give off queer vibes for me, but that could be bc she was criminally underdeveloped & we know practically nothing about her.

Natalia - See above ^^

Ali Martin - Same ^^ although I could see her just being queer and not being more specific than that. Maybe she's straight, who knows. I literally forgot about her until I was looking up actor/actress names 😂

Like her family are pretty involved in the firefighting/paramedic/EMT scene (idk if there's a proper term I apologize) and a lot of rookies and probies want to join the station where Hope works bc hey, the entire Mikaelson legacy is there and they're legends, so Hope's on guard making sure that she keeps her distance cuz who knows--she's encountered one too many fans seeking her out because of her name and not because they wanna get to know her

anyways so Josie and Lizzie are the new paramedics for the fire station and they just moved to the city and are from Mystic Falls idk sure

Maya's like "hey, cute brunette three o'clock."

and Hope's like "don't go after the newbies" but like she does clock in Josie and is like 👀 anyway

Josie and Lizzie are new so like, maybe they don't know anything about the Mikaelson family. but anyway the twins integrate well with the rest of the fire family at the station but Hope's still keeping her distance and keeping an eye on them. Lizzie thinks Hope's too pretentious but Josie's intrigued and also 👀

Maya being Maya hits on Josie a few times. it's very light hearted and Josie flirts back cuz like it's fun it's whatever but Hope gets a little annoyed and is all

Josie continues to be very intrigued with Hope after that

then they get a really big call. huge car accident on a high way, multiple injured. Hope focuses on her work but watches in awe as Josie does her. She's an incredible paramedic. Very thorough with what she does and efficient, but also so warm and kindhearted toward the people she's saving. There's an air about her that captures Hope's attention.

Since then Hope's been paying very close attention to paramedic Josie Saltzman. and unbeknownst to our Lieutenants, Josie's been paying very close attention to Lieutenant Hope Mikaelson.

Anyway bla bla bla things happen, more working together on scene, hanging out with the crew after work, bla bla bla, and Hope and Josie become really fast friends but also there's like this weird unspoken tension between the two that Lizzie and Maya both keep poking and prodding and teasing them about (oh, also, Lizzie ends up getting together with both paramedic MG and firefighter Ethan bc I want my Mizzethan throuple gosh darn it)

they start and end each meal by thanking you and smothering you with affection (knight is more verbal and princess is more physical) and in between they’re constantly and genuinely complimenting everything about your dish — so you’ll end up leaving with your cheeks burning and your ego inflated once they’ve had their fill (or two, or three)

princess cookie is always looking to try and experiment and expand your repertoire of dishes by finding new and exciting ingredients for you to try and incorporate — she calls them challenges and, naturally, she’s always there to help out but she rarely ever knows what the ingredient actually is

knight cookie, meanwhile, prefers dishes that are tried and true — things that you all know work, that you all enjoy, and that provide more than enough energy for you all on your journey — his philosophy is about safety and consistency and your shared girlfriend will frequently (lovingly) tease him for it

they both do their bit to help you out as much as possible so you only have to focus on actually cooking the meals themselves: they go out and buy/forage everything you’ve named that you need, clean up all of the ingredients/cutlery/crockery, help you out with some other prep and they’re usually the ones who do the washing up for you afterwards

the three of you really are a power throuple when it comes to your journey and growth as individuals — and they both say that they wouldn’t have gotten this far without you

- just a note but it's harder for me to keep up with those notes for Iron Widow than for Qian Qiu. I think it's because 1. its pace is faster 2. its chapters are shorter. so anyway

- chapter 10, Wu Zetian just needs to scream 24/7 and I respect it so much

My Tav is Lucid Reign a female Cambion (half-succubus) so I guess she is more of an OC then? idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ this is how I just how I see her (and apparently everyone else b/c she is mistaken as a Tiefling all the time. poor thing.). My Durge, Valafar, is a changeling whose gender varies depending on the form they pick, though their preferred form is similar to cannon Dragonborn Durge but more lithe and agile in build. Pre-game events Lucid works as a bodyguard for Gortash (may or may not have filled Karlach's missing spot) and eventually for Durge. Eventually they become their own little villainous throuple ( but I don't want to spoil anything here ;) also still working out the details a bit more.)

Lucid has a tendency to be a bit...risque in her clothing choices? Given her nature she is not afraid to flaunt her body and wears lots of sheer, lacy, leather, revealing items. So while her boss tries to rein her in (ha! sorry not sorry on the name pun) for Upper City soirées but she marches to the beat of her own drum and skirts the line on dress code (see images). Valafar wears more conservative/practical clothing and tries to get out of the occasions, uncomfortable due to Durge related reasons, and nobles look tasty. (though Lucid literally drags them anyways b/c she wants to include them and can keep them calm alongside Gortash).

This would be the more 'conservative option' after much bickering and fussing they compromise on this for Upper City parties, needless to say she gets lots of stares. She doesn't mind though. Cambions love the attention and she enjoys tormenting Gortash (in a loving way of course and secretly he enjoys her boldness)

If its a more scandalous type party she would either version of these outfits:

For Valafar, they would follow the rules (dress-code?) and wear something elegant and refined and unfortunately blood stains so the one on the left goes through the ringer a couple of times and after a small fortune spent, is salvaged.
