THE EFFECTS OF TRANSITS AND SOLAR RETURN CHART :🌟
Of courses I know that not everyone will relate to what is writen in this post.
Based on personal observations.
Reminder : I’m not a professional astrologer, what I said is only based on what I have learned and my research.
Transits in astrology is the time when planets move across your birth chart. These transits are important especially when they come into conjunction with personal planets (especially sun or moon) or personal points (ascendant-descendant). When they aspects these points you are more able to feel the effects. However, you can also feel the effects of transits, particularly for major transits (transits which concern planets like Saturn/Pluto/Neptune/Uranus and Jupiter that have a longer transit and spend more time in certain areas in your birth chart.
Solar return chart is an annual chart that start the time of your birthday and can predict your next twelves months.
Both have influence in your life and when you except a change in your life like meeting new peoples/friends, start a new daily routine, start exercising, loses friends, starting a love relationship, meet your possible partner, change career, separation, moving abroad etc … all of them can be influenced by transits and solar return chart. You can be able to see a correlation between your current life and the transits of the planets.
However it’s important to remember that theses transits (SR included) chart will brings somes changes in your life (any kind of changes) that can lead to important changes or important decisions making or even highlights possible outcomes/changes/events, so it’s important to not be overly defeatist. This is temporary. Another thing : if you see a placement in your chart with a specific reputation (good or bad -> especially bad), is important to take a step back (sometimes it can lead to meaningful improvement about yourself and your life).
Sometimes those transits just don’t have any similar effects as you can see in some observations posts. You should look into your personal experience and your own perspective.
Some observations :
💫Neptune transit your 1st house : you can be overly idealistic about the world around you. You can see the world though pink colored glasses and you may, sometimes and possibly, find yourself being disappointed in some things you are faced with. You can be more interested in occult, astrology and any things like that. You can have an over idealistic vision on life, about yourself and your relatives. It could be difficult to takes or accept your responsibility in this life and you can be detached towards the practical aspects of life. Otherwise: sometimes you can crave more times alone -> maybe you can experience loneliness and probably liking it.
💫Saturn transit 1st house : Can show change, you can change your diet, start a new workout routine (or start a sport). You can present yourself as a new person, you can be more mature and taking your responsibilities. Maybe during the 12th house transit you have developed fears/anxieties and you may have to work on them during this transit. It could show struggle too so for example : you may struggle to lose weight (if you want to). Struggle to keep your routine going or your goals. You might have more responsability or you can take more mature decision and be more "adult". Can show the start of a new cycle and you can leave old habits behind you or you may want to grow yourself to leave thoses habits. But it could be difficult to keep this new routine in your life and consistently. You seek improvement but you have difficulty to maintain it, it’s your challenge to keeping it.
💫Mars transit 1st house : During this transit you can be impatient, more agressive, you can be easily irritated. You can takes more actions/be actions-oriented. You can take things more personally. You can be more confident but sometimes the opposite can happen. Objects/things can be broken too. Physically (it’s pretty known but) you might have redness on your skins especially on the face and/or rash probably caused by the fact that you can be more sensitive to stress.
💫Uranus in 7th house in solar return chart : this can show a unexpected changes in your partnerships (not only romantic but platonic too). You may face a betrayal by a relative that led to this change. If mars is present in this house or influence this house though aspects, it can accentuate the chance that a betrayal could happen or this change could lead to conflits. Several scenario could happen but this is what i have see. Note : during the year where i had Uranus in 7th house i also had an scorpio rising -> during this year one of my close friend betrayed me => this betrayal lead to an transformation (scorpio rising).
💫Mercury in 10th house/conjunct mc ; Saturn in 10th/conjunct sun-mc ; Sun in 10th house in SR : theses placements can show a year where you need to work hard and a lot (especially with Saturn). With Mercury you can work for study and/or during this year you will focus a lot on study to be certificate (if there is one going). If Saturn is with Mercury in 10th house you may struggle to study or you will work really hard. But if Sun is present it may indicate that you will shine because of your work (not only for study) => you may get your certificate or pass your exam hands down (in case of study) or maybe you will get a promotion and if sun sit along with Saturn you will shine and be proud of you because you get what you’re working for by your hard work and discipline (saturn). It can be a year where you have a certificate and you need to put efforts to get this certificate. This is a possible scenario if sun-mercury-saturn are together. This can happen in working area too (not necessarily studying), but I just make the link between mercury->education)
💫Planets in 6th house in SR : when you have planets in this house you may want to take care of your health. Maybe you will have an awareness about your health => you may change your routine in a more healthy way. Sometimes it can become an obsession (especially with Pluto or if you have a stellium). In a lot of case you will focus a lot on your health. With mars you can give a lot of energy to your health. With venus you will think that this would allow you to be more attractive or you may want to be more attractive and be the best version of yourself. It can show a glow up. In another way, you can feel more anxious about your health and possibly this is because of your anxiety that you take care of your health. You might realise how important it is to taking care of your health. In general you can be more anxious in your daily life and if you have Pluto you may have transformations (in your routine etc..) “that can” make you worried if you don’t maintain it.
💫Moon in 1st house in solar return chart : It could be easy to you to put boundaries and respect your emotional needs. You may want to recharge yourself a lot and It could be easy to refuse some interactions because you feel It could draining you. You might be able to stop making things that make you feel bad and stop doing things that you don’t really like. Maybe more easily exhausted during this year.
💫Jupiter in 9th house in solar return chart : you could have a big desire to pursue your studies abroad, probably you’re seeking adventure and new experiences and you might be tired of your routine. You can looking at your life in a different way and wanting something different and more exciting. Also you can seeking something that speaks to you in a “soul level” your likely to wanting something that give a sense to your life and that is connected with how you are and how you feel. You can be inclined to working at knowing what you really want in your life and finding yourself. You may doing well at your studies.
-> The year when I had moon and pluto in the 8th house of my solar return chart I got a crazy obsession towards my crush.
💫When some people said that Libra rising in your solar return chart could make you glow up is true!! When I had Libra rising in my src I was really invested at improving my style and external aspects of my appearance. I was more coquettish and wanted to feel better in my own body. I improved my style during this year. (I developed an obsession towards pink tinted lip balm).

The "AI Rots Your Brain" Study
"The Impact of Generative AI on Critical Thinking" is a study conducted by Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft Research Cambridge.
it has been widely reported on as "concluding that AI makes human cognition atrophied and unprepared" (404 media) or as "linking AI usage with a deterioration in critical-thinking skills" (New York Magazine).
is that true? what does the paper actually say, though? it's only 20 pages, so you can check for yourself. otherwise, read on.
the survey's methodology has been... misrepresented, to put it mildly. this paper did not measure actual thinking ability. it surveyed workers who used AI at work, asked questions like "do you usually trust AI outputs? how do you think about them critically? if you can't, what obstacles are stopping you?"
the paper aimed to answer two research questions:
When and how do knowledge workers perceive the enaction of critical thinking when using GenAI? When and why do knowledge workers perceive increased/decreased effort for critical thinking due to GenAI?
pages 14-16 of the study discuss the survey's findings, and what they mean for AI tools, workers, and critical thinking skills. i've summarized these conclusions, point by point, as follows.
confidence and knowledge 1) people who say they trust genAI to be truthful are likely to be the same people who say they exercise less critical thinking about AI outputs. (makes sense.) 2) people who say they have confidence in their work skills are likely to say they are critical of the AI's output, even if they perceive this critical look as requiring extra effort. 3) it's possible that fostering workers' expertise and confidence in their domains will increase their ability to think critically about AI outputs. 4) a worker being confident in their skills at a task is associated with the worker's ability to delegate and guide the task. 5) a worker being unconfident in their skills at a task can rely more on AI, which potentially lowers their critical engagement and independent problem-solving skills. 6) in a nutshell, workers knowledgeable at a task invest more effort in thinking critically while using AI for it; less knowledgeable workers invest less.
the researchers suggest: 7) empowering users to 1. develop their skills, 2. develop a balanced relationship with the AI where it's not either the user or the AI calling all the shots. 8) adding feedback mechanisms to AI tools that help users gauge reliability of AI outputs, so they can know when to trust and when to question. 9) that AI tools let users customize and refine how the output is made, how much AI assistance is provided, depending on confidence and task complexity.
to do this, they see several approaches. potential approach 1: 10) AI tools could underline opportunities for critical thinking, especially for tasks the worker finds unimportant or secondary. 11) for example, AI tools could have systems to proactively interrupt the user and highlight a situation where it may be overlooked that critical thinking is needed. 12) another approach is to allow the user to request critical thinking assistance when they consciously need it.
potential approach 2: 13) increase the motivation to use critical thinking. workers use it less when they think it's not their job, and use it more when aiming to develop their skills. 14) therefore, AI tools could encourage critical thinking thtrough the lens of skill development and professional growth, not arbitrary and sometimes-irrelevant "audits".
potential approach 3: 15) enhance the ability to think critically. workers often refrain from thinking critically when they don't have the skills to fact-check or improve AI's responses. 16) this means learning opportunities: AI providing explanations for its reasoning, suggesting ways the users should refine their knowledge, or offering guided critiques. 17) the AI could help the worker develop specific skills: how to analyze arguments or cross-reference facts against sources. (see: AI as partner in skill development.)
so how is AI impacting critical thinking, specifically? 18) usually critical thinking involves analysis, synthesis and evaluation. using AI tools changes what tasks a worker performs to fulfill these goals. 19) when recalling and understanding, the worker focuses less on gathering information and more verifying it. (less need to find info, more need to verify it.) 20) when applying information, the worker focuses less on solving a problem and more on integrating the AI's solution. ("is this relevant? what parts should i tweak?") 21) when analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating, the worker focuses less on executing the task and more on supervising the task. ("stewardship" more than "collaboration".)
so, to think critically, workers that use AI should be trained: 22) on how to verify information, integrate outputs, and guide the task. 23) on cross-referencing with sources, assessing if AI output is relevant or applicable, and refining their use of AI processes. 24) on maintaining foundational problem-solving and information-gathering skills so they aren't overly reliant on AI.
the researchers point out some limitations of their study: 25) surveyed workers sometimes confuse "the task now takes me less effort" and "i spend less effort on critical thinking". (hey, we don't assess our critical thinking often.) 26) surveyed workers might think less critically when they get an AI output that matches what they expected. that could expect the aforementioned confusion. 27) asking workers to report their confidence at a task produces subjective responses. 28) the survey was conducted solely in english, and aimed only at fluent english speakers. 29) the survey sample biases towards younger, technologically skilled workers who use AI tools at work at least once a week. older and less techy people are underrepresented. 30) this is just a baseline study and long term impact has to be tracked.

Hey there, I'm glad you've been enjoying all of the team's chaos theory posts - thank you for supporting our show!
To join a production in an animation studio like Dreamworks, first it's best to know which part of the process/pipeline you'd like to be involved in. On the creative side of things, there are roles such as Storyboard Artists, Visual Development Artists, Writers, etc. There's also the Production team which oversees the administrative aspects of the show through organization of information, management of assets/resources, etc. Once you've decided which role you're interested in, it helps to research the responsibilities one would expect in it & prepare your skills to become effective in that zone.
As of late, the Animation Industry has been seeing a heavy drought in job quantity, which has made it difficult for current guild members to find work and consequently has made it even more challenging for newcomers to break into the industry as well. I'm unsure of when hiring rates may improve, but I think my main piece of advice for those looking to pursue a career in animation in the future is to be prepared to exercise great patience & continue to develop the skills necessary to be considered competitively. It's important to consider that the industry may pick back up as we move forward, as things are always changing. Be as ready as you can when it does - preparation meets opportunity.
Most importantly, get to know people in Animation circles (professional, student, or for fun) & network laterally often. You'll learn a lot from your peers.

I know there is a G factor because I cannot become great at anything no matter how much work and study I put into it while others can achieve greatness. If G didn't exist then all my study and practice would pay off because I would share a common starting point with the great people.
we do not waste time trying to model a single A factor of general athletic ability. we recognize that though many kinds of athletic ability may be loosely correlated, it makes much more sense to evaluate those abilities more or less separately, and that different athletes with different skills are suited to different kinds of athletic performance. but talking about an A factor would not be useful if we wanted to understand why some people are good at running, nor would it be useful if we wanted to generate advice on how to run farther or faster. it might, for instance, lead us to advocate lifting weights to promote A, when in fact we know that weightlifting ability doesn't have much to do with performance at cardio-intensive exercise like running.
and while i could not become a professional soccer player if i worked really hard at it, i definitely could improve my running ability if i trained correctly.
(we might even envision an AQ test that measures stuff like body fat percentage and maximum duration of sustained cardio-intensive activity that captures obvious truths like "Tanadrin is a lousy athlete" but can't reliably predict the difference in performance between someone who exercises a lot and is in very good health, but is otherwise ordinary, and someone who is an Olympic-level athlete)
similarly i think as we come to understand intelligence better as the interplay of many distinct faculties like memory, creativity, ability to visualize, etc, etc, we may both better understand the actual relationship between genes and intelligence (e.g., the way genes that influence the development of the hippocampus affect ability to remember information) and even how to train those cognitive faculties better.

my year of rest and relaxation without rotting and ravaging
Truth be told seeing a person with healthy habits, an organised life and a graceful personality and suggesting that this lifestyle is easy to accomplish is absolutely misleading, because it's not.
We're watching short videos of morning routines created by patrick batemans. We're reading inspirational prompts and quotes from the safety of our couch. We're scrolling through pinterest creating lists destined to dust on our profiles.
I came to the conclusion that the self improvement movement can be just as toxic as self destruction and there is a high risk for developing a depression and/or OCD (failing your goals and ambitions can push you into a downward spiral of rotting and ravaging).



» visualise activites for your relaxation
take a piece of paper and write down what is relaxing for you personally without being to critical towards yourself. If someone tells you journaling is relaxing it doesn't mean it has to be for you. Take your time and take notes whenever you are doing something that lightens your mood. If sitting on a bench and watching people is your way of relaxation suit yourself. Do not choose activites only by the appeal towards your desired aesthetic.
» stay true to yourself
Stay true to yourself and don't neglect your own personality. Self improvement is not about becoming a better version of yourself, it's about finding and refecting yourself in this abyss of modern society. Please be kind towards yourself and do not misconstrue self improvement as perfection, because that's definitely not the same. Considering self improvement as a life lesson and experience is a way healthier approach.

Try sensory exercises (for example breathing exercises), focus on something tacticle with your hands, catch the sunrise/sunset, go into a tea shop and smell the herbs, do yoga, drink water, take a bubble bath, listen to asmr or a new album. Whatever is stimulating your senses in a positive way helps to reduce stress.

The aviation industry is “failing dramatically” in its efforts to tackle its role in the climate crisis, according to a newly formed group of aviation professionals.
They say they are torn between their passion for flying and their concern for the planet and are calling for a fundamental transition of the industry, including controlling flight numbers.
The group, Call Aviation to Action, says the industry is overly optimistic about emissions-cutting technology and trapped in a business model that demands ever-growing flight numbers. The lack of significant climate action from the industry risks it being destroyed, the group says, as heavy regulation from outside will become necessary as the climate crisis intensifies.
Due to their international nature, carbon dioxide emissions from aviation are excluded from the national plans that countries submit to the UN’s climate body. Instead, the UN’s aviation body, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is tasked with tackling the planet-heating gases.
Bockstael said: “My view is ICAO have been failing dramatically on that responsibility, because the only thing it came up with after eight years of discussion is the Corsia scheme, which is nothing more than carbon offsets for the growth of aviation above a certain threshold, exporting your problem to another industry.” The scheme has been criticised as “unambitious and problematic” and has yet to require any airline to use a carbon credit.
He said: “If we do not act, by 2050 aviation emissions will be about a quarter of all human-caused emissions – that will be really a very shameful position.
The Guardian has previously been contacted by numerous aviation professionals concerned about the climate crisis but who felt unable to speak publicly.
Flying causes more CO2 emissions than any other form of transport per mile and is dominated by rich passengers, with 1% of the world’s population responsible for 50% of aviation emissions. The industry’s climate plans are rated “critically insufficient” by Climate Action Tracker.
ICAO forecasts a doubling of passenger numbers by 2042, and the industry argues that more efficient aircraft, sustainable fuels and Corsia can control CO2 emissions. The ICAO has been accused of having been captured by the industry, the Guardian reported in February.
Independent experts say the feasible scale of measures to cut aviation emissions is extremely unlikely to compensate for such a doubling in traffic, with, for example, fuel-efficiency improvements now stalling. The CEO of Qatar Airways called the airline industry’s emissions goals a “PR exercise” in 2023.
The Call Aviation to Action group said the industry should set targets for absolute emissions cuts in line with science-based CO2 budgets and stop “lobbying against climate policies”. The industry should also acknowledge that managing global demand for flights in a fair way is part of the solution, it said.
Bockstael said the cost of emissions-cutting technologies would increase the price of flying but that additional measures, such as flight or carbon taxes, could be needed to keep passenger numbers at sustainable levels. Such constraints on demand must be fair, he said, offering equitable access to flying in developing countries and addressing heavy frequent flyers in rich nations.
Finlay Asher, an aerospace engineer and member of Safe Landing, said: “As an engineer, what really excites me is that the Call Aviation to Action proposals would lead to a new golden age of innovation. Our industry is in need of an upgrade: new aircraft designs, new forms of zero-carbon power and new airport layouts to support these. The research, development and operation of this new air transport system will not only create more jobs but also make flying greener, cleaner, quieter and more accessible to society.”
