The answer leaves his lips easily. "The body."

There is no change in Colress' explanation. "Elaborate."

There was no ounce of hesitation.

"The body is more important since it's what you show to people,"

Hundreds of eyes in the classroom burned against his skin.

"It's your icon. Your avatar. If you don't exist in the minds of others, then who are you?"

His cleverly worded answer in the form of a question impressed many- but Colress' expression was still unreadable as he assessed what his student had confidently told him.

"Is that your final answer?"

Months following the closure of Duel Academy, Colress found his student stumped by the same question.

He holds up a doll in one hand, and gestures to the Herald of Ultimateness with the other.

"Let me rephrase my question- what is more important to you, Cheren Slater's body, or Cheren Slater's soul?"

Time was ticking. The flames surrounding them only continued to grow.

"Would you let this doll containing his soul perish in hellfire? Or would you allow his body from within the armor to burn?"

Beads of sweat slid down his forehead.

"If you could only save one, what would you choose? That which you can see, or that which is invisible to you?"

Gripping onto the cards in his hand, Piper glances anxiously between his options.

"Cheren Piper-"

"Shut up!"

Holding up a familiar card between his fingers, Piper makes his next move.

"I know what you're doing. You're hoping I either stick to what I've answered initially- or answer the soul, right?"

He draws.

"As if I would take even another lesson from you. You want to know my answer? Huh?"

He plays his next card, opting to buy for time, asking for Slater to wait a little longer once more- Swords of Revealing Light.

"This is my final answer," He hisses through his teeth. "Offering me to only take one half of my partner- you must be joking. I don't settle for anything less."
