bllk characters and what you think would be their type or what they find attractive in a girl?🙈💗💌

i mean... 🤔 do u want the truthful answer or do u want the ideal answer? cus i don't think any of the bllk boys (maybe with the exception of otoya and aiku) would have a type, much less let it be limited to a girl. but assuming they actually have a life outside of football, here are some traits they would find attractive in a person:

isagi would like someone he can see as a role model. throughout his life, he often finds figures that inspire him (eg. noel noa, ego, even rin if you squint hard enough). he doesn't idolize them, but he does find a way to incorporate their strengths into his playing style and actions. if you have a character trait he highly values, he will like you, and it's generally pretty easy to get him to like you. (unless of course, you're a massive dick like kaiser.)

i find that he gets along best with kurona and hiori. this is because (1) they can read his intentions well, and (2) they are quiet and level-headed. obviously, this would also apply to the romantic side of his life. isagi admires people who are similar to him but still have their own quirks and idiosyncrasies. for example, you subtly support him from behind the scenes and bring him snacks after practice and pack his bento every morning. he appreciates small gestures of kindness.

isagi is also someone very hot-headed as evidenced by his potty mouth. he likes someone who can match his energy and passion but is still calm enough to prevent him from doing anything rash. i picture him running up to you after a game, and the adrenaline causes him to pick you up from out of the stands and twirl you around in his arms.

canonically, isagi is unpopular with girls. he literally returned from valentine's day empty-handed. he tries to be nice most times, but truthfully, nothing except football really interests him. so if you can skip the small talk and start drafting football plays with him, i think he would be attracted to you. like very attracted.

unrelated but he likes someone with a pretty laugh.

bachira needs someone motherly. i feel like he never really got to be a child because everyone around him was constantly putting him down for being the "weird" kid. that's why his current personality is undeniably childish at times. it's the only way he can express the inner child he had before he grew up too fast. i think he'd like people who take care of him in a parental manner, whether that's scolding him for doing something stupid, wiping his chin cus he's a messy eater, or teaching him english every day.

i feel bachira is one of the most extroverted characters in blue lock. he genuinely thrives off his interactions with others. and for that reason, i think he'd be attracted to introverts because they differ so greatly from him. (he'd probably adopt them too.)

bachira has the most creative insults, and that's partially why he gets along so well with isagi. he's not afraid to get out of his comfort zone, nor is he afraid of pushing others to do the same. if this boy can hallucinate whole monsters, he can sure as hell rip his opponents into pieces. i feel like he'd have such a stark duality around you. he'd be beating the crap out of the other team, but the moment he sees you, he's all sunshine and rainbows and bounding over to ask you about your day and overshare about his.

ADHD. that's it. that's the quote. if you're hyperactive, then he's hyperactive, and you'll both be rocking the same boat. most people would assume he needs a grounding presence in his life, but i think post u-20 arc bachira is actually mature enough to process his own issues. now he just needs someone to let loose and have a little fun with.

rin needs a therapist. end of story. this boy is a whole case study. i don't think he's even mentally stable enough to have a romantic relationship. but if he were to date someone, i'd imagine that person is somewhat similar to isagi (and no, this is not a ship.)

isagi has something rin definitively lacks, and that is his strong, dynamic sense of self. when rin fails, he takes it heart. all solutions are linear and logical to him. if he missed a goal, it was because he didn't train hard enough. if he couldn't beat sae, it was because he just wasn't good enough.

but isagi completely changes his mindset every time he loses. (there's a reason why he's surrounded by puzzle pieces all the time.) analyzing is second nature to him. every failure is a catalyst for self-improvement, and he constantly breaks himself down in order to adapt and rebuild. rin needs someone like that in his life, someone who can teach him to be unafraid of change and embrace it instead.

rin also isn't immune to external influences. obviously, he is still learning to play football for himself. looking at the pxg version of him, he has had a significant change in mindset, but he still hasn't completely separated himself from this idea of "beating" someone in order to get to the top. according to his logic, if he surpasses both sae and isagi, he will finally be content. but the truth is, he won't be anywhere near content because his ego still isn't entirely his own. i think he would admire someone who refuses to let themselves be defined by others.

rin would also like someone who is patient because he clearly isn't. (boy was about to have a whole brain aneurysm when bachira threw that paper airplane at him.) honestly, you need to be both gentle and persistent with him. he hates it when people come on too strong, but he also finds his walls slowly crumbling when someone repeatedly goes out of their way to show that they care.

rin has a high level of emotional intelligence, as evidenced by sae's comments about his intuition. however, he can only work out a person's thought process about halfway before he starts to feel lost himself. for example, he can understand that sae dislikes losing, but he doesn't understand that it's innately tied to sae's self-worth and expectations as the eldest child/genius prodigy/role model. if he's going to romantically date anyone, then they need to be extremely skilled in the art of communication. otherwise, rin is going to easily misinterpret things.

finally, i think he'd like someone who knows how to comfort him. rin overthinks. like a lot. the cogs in his brain are constantly whirring. you need to lay him down on your lap and run your fingers through his hair and tell him that everything's going to be alright. (and it is going to be alright, because you're about to move both heaven and earth for him to make it stay that way.)

kaiser has no set type, but if he did, it would also be isagi (i'm sorry but yoichi is our harem princess for a reason.) kaiser oscillates between this superiority and inferiority complex. he even admits he was weak-hearted once.

any and all attraction is heightened for him because he gets obsessed easily. (like did you see his massive desktop displays of isagi? tell me that does not scream high-key yandere shit to you.)

however, more so than people, kaiser is fixated on ideals. he literally got a cheesy blue rose tattoo to remind himself that nothing is impossible, and he stands naked in front of his mirror every morning repeating the motto: "this is me." the self-esteem issues are glaringly obvious.

now, rather than completely shatter his entire worldview like isagi did, you need to be the one to gently (and i stress, gently) remind him that sometimes ideals aren't everything. kaiser is unpredictable, but the one thing that stays constant about him is the many masks he hides behind. everything is a role to him, and he takes center stage. but you need to convince him that none of this really matters. he doesn't need to bedazzle himself in tattoos and dye his hair and sport a mullet-rattail hybrid to be worthy of attention. sometimes his ugly bed head and dark circles are precisely the reason you love him.

second of all, you need to set firm boundaries (otherwise you'll end up like ness.) kaiser wants someone with a backbone, and he does not turn a blind eye to raw potential. victory is his end goal, and if you can bring him one step closer to that, he will stick to you. the only issue here is that you need to make sure he does not use you. and believe me, he will try. but if you draw a strong line between you two and stand your ground, he will start to see you in a new light. it can go both ways (love or hate), but either way you are someone important in his eyes.

lastly, i think he wants someone with a sense of humor. he's naturally cocky, and he needs someone to match his wit. ness already does that, but he doesn't give kaiser enough challenge. in my mind, i imagine kaiser trying to impress you with his german, but you give him a good run for his money when you already know how to speak it. things like that. he thinks it's hot when you can stand up to his level. but at the end of the day, your loyalty still lies with him, and you're not above/below him but rather the one standing beside him.

barou doesn't have a type. he is the type. you're lucky to have him.

otoya likes cute girls, even better when they have the standard fringe/bob cut look. he also lives for the height difference. teasing short girls by patting their heads is his signature move. he also likes it when girls wear lipgloss, like a sparkly candy pink shade, maybe even a spritz of perfume. he's also type to make fun of the little chubby pooch you get when you eat too much. he thinks it's adorable. personality-wise, it doesn't matter. he's going to cheat anyways. jk but on a more serious note, the person he's likely going to stay with forever is someone who can forgive his weaknesses and actually make the effort to understand him. instead of writing him off as an immature two-timer, he'd appreciate people who can actually hear him out. obviously, it doesn't excuse any of his actions, but it lets him know that you do indeed care.

aiku says he likes anyone who looks easy to break up with, but it's actually the opposite. he tends to go for older women who end up slapping him in the face. he's a womanizer, but he actually has a significant amount of character depth. generally, he's someone who goes with the flow, and nothing really upsets him. but to actually get to know him and his insecurities, you'd have to be someone really important to him. i think aiku is the type to be a serial dater before he finds someone he'll actually stick to. he's afraid of commitment, and it's for good reason. the authority figures in his life have failed him enough times to be considered unreliable. please be kind to him because the childhood trauma was not. i smell lots of emotional baggage here.

nagi likes the flame type because it has few weaknesses and helped him clear three levels in digimon. oh wait, you mean his ideal type? yeah, he does not know what that is, and he's too lazy to think of one. currently he's in the middle of fighting a custody battle for choki, and he's losing to a certain purple-haired freak. please come back later.

reo likes wine aunties lol. it's canon that he prefers older women, but i think it's just because they tend to know what they want. he likes people who have a set goal and are constantly working towards it. he himself diverts all his time and resources into football once he discovers that it is his calling.

i think he's the type to be extremely popular but not actually have any deep, long-lasting connections with any of his friends. he knows a lot of people, but he doesn't know them well. that's also why he gets so attached to nagi because nagi is the first person to really know him. in a way, i think that'd translate over to the people he loves as well. he likes people who don't beat around the bush. if they like him for who he is, they'll say it outright. he doesn't need to do any digging or engage in any form of the pretentious formalities he despises.

reo is rich, which is both a blessing and a curse. on one hand, he's all set for life, but on the other hand, it unfortunately makes many of his relationships conditional. he said it himself that people are often drawn to him because of his money. so i think he'd also like someone who isn't materialistic. he values honesty and genuine connection above all, so if you're ready to give him love regardless of his status, he'd sincerely love you too.

chigiri likes tomboys or any person with masculine characteristics. he's constantly getting mistaken for a girl at blue lock, so i think it'd just be funny to pair him up with someone who also shares the same androgynous plight. you two would bond over breaking gender norms.

he's a capricorn, and even if astrology is a pseudoscience, i still feel like the archetype fits him well. he refuses to let other people see him cry. he values his family a lot. he tends to be moody and intense at times. not to mention he is very goal-driven (excuse the pun.) based on that, i think he'd want someone calm and understanding. it's not that he needs someone else to work out his own problems for him. it's more so that he needs someone to remind him that he's still human sometimes. i feel like after his injury, he was sort of in this survival mode, constantly trying to prove himself and get back to the level he used to be at. but you need to remind him that he can relax once in a while. it's perfectly alright if he isn't as good as he used to be right now. progress comes at a different pace for everyone.

furthermore, chigiri tends to project a serious image most of the time, so i think it'd be nice if someone reminds him that he does have indeed an odd sense humor and his fair share of stupid moments, and that's totally okay too.

shidou likes anyone who doesn't like him, but this has to be done the right way. within blue lock, he's already sort of this outcast because no one understands his playing style (except maybe sae.) you need to show him that you value his eccentricities while also keeping him at an arm's length. he loves a challenge.

since he's someone unafraid to express himself, he likes to see that in another person. whether it's in your fashion sense, way of talking, body language, etc., he loves it when you act unapologetically yourself.

shidou is quite literally a dog kept on a leash, so you need to tug on that leash from time to time. he loves it when people attempt to tell him off and call him out for his bullshit. inhibition is a foreign concept to him, so he feels entertained when others try to teach it to him. he also thinks it's immensely sexy when you're angry at him. lord knows he is definitely going to slip that in mid-argument just so you can yell at him some more.

sae wouldn't even believe in the concept of a "type" in general because he thinks it's stupid to categorize people based on an ideal and fixed set of characteristics. (that's pretty rich coming from a guy who calls people who don't meet his standards lukewarm but we're just gonna ignore his hypocrisy.) either way, he has a non-traditional view of love and attraction.

i do think he likes people who are solid and reliable, and they can continuously yield quality results. he would also want someone who is as ambitious as him because i don't think he can realistically get along with someone who has no dreams or aspirations. it just doesn't fit well with his driven personality.

people who are empathetic and emotionally intuitive intrigue him since that's something he lacks. personally, i think he'd like someone who is mature (doesn't matter if they're older or younger.) if you can teach him something useful, he find you worthy of his time. and if you can read his feelings without him even telling you, he would consider you someone special.

sae needs someone who holds similar ideals to him but doesn't follow him blindly. (notice how he hated it when rin blindly relied on his assists when they were children.) he want someone who is independent because he is also highly independent. however, the difference is that they also actively make room in their life for other people, and that is something sae doesn't know how to do.

there's a point of growth somewhere in your relationship where you call out his mistakes and set him on the right path. sae struggles a lot with his definition of victory, and he finds it difficult to curb his greed. his ego is what sets him apart from everyone else, so failure is not an option in his books. unfortunately, this is also why he loses some of his original spark/motivation. you need to be someone who can tell him that failure is not a weakness, and sometimes the journey matters more than the ending.

also this poor boy needs someone to teach him social cues because i don’t really think he knows how to read the room. he’d probably unintentionally insult a chairman or investor, and you’ll be trailing after him with a sheepish smile as you bow and apologize for him. (i feel bad for his manager.)

On Tumblr, the ship has achieved notable positions in the weekly charts, ranking #2 on January 9, 2023, #3 on January 16 and February 13, and maintaining a steady presence in the following weeks.

Finally, let's not forget that, after a long sleep lasting a year, the fandom woke up thanks to the Novelisation of the first season which, for better or for worse, offered a lot of material for us fans of the couple.

But now that we have the data, we still ask ourselves, why was it so successful?

• First and foremost, the "Opposites Attract" Trope

The dynamic between Wednesday and Enid embodies the opposites attract trope, with Wednesday's dark and introverted nature contrasting with Enid's vivacious and extroverted nature.

This contrast has historically fascinated audiences, making their interaction intriguing and worthy of narrative exploration.

It is extremely inspiring to draw this pairing even on an artistic level, with plenty of fan art depicting a bright and cheerful Enid alongside a darker and stoic Wednesday (the most obvious example being the black cat energy x golden retriever energy dynamic).

• Then there is of course the LGBTQ representation.

I have already touched on why Wenclair makes sense and I refer you to that post.

But without going into too much detail, the lack of explicit queer representation in the series has led fans to seek out and create narratives that reflect their experiences and desires, finding in Wenclair a possibility for meaningful representation.

But above all, another factor was fundamental, which was the failure of the Wednesday love triangle that was in the middle between Tyler and Xavier.

Many of us found this subplot so atrocious that we came to the final thought that, if Wednesday were ever going to have a romantic partner, it would absolutely be Enid.

Above all, let's not forget how very queer core the two girls are.

(Enid in particular and the subplot with her mother is a clear example of this)

Where on one hand we had a Tyler who, through deception and gaslighting, tried to get closer to the protagonist, then there was Xavier who was really a guy who perhaps tried to seem like a good guy but was just a pretty slimy guy (the phone scene is really senseless).

{not only for this but also for what I will write later, if you are a fan of Weyler or Wavier, this is nothing personal, peace and love, I'm just looking at the data and the reasons why Wenclair has grown}

Then there are the promotional events, such as the "WednesGAY" organized by Netflix, and statements by the actors have fueled speculation and enthusiasm around the ship, contributing to its spread.

Let's say that this is more of a sore point for some because there has actually been some queerbaiting by Netflix.

But anyway, even through interviews of the actors and actresses who worked on the series, the Wenclair ship has managed to become more and more popular even if some of those statements were even joking ("They were roomates". by Emma Myers).

• Finally their relationship in concrete in the series.

Let's be clear, the best scenes of the series have the 2 of them as protagonists (at least for me).

They argue, they compare, they help each other and when Wednesday makes a mistake, Enid feels betrayed and Wednesday feels bad for it.

Let's remember that Enid first went to ""die"" for Wednesday in the final episode.

For Sinclair there were no plans other than finding Wednesday, there was no possibility of transforming in her head.

Every time an exchange of dialogue occurs between the 2 of them there is always a significant stimulus.

But most of all, Enid is one of the reasons why Wednesday is growing both emotionally and mentally.

Wednesday has learned so much thanks in large part to her roomate.

It is no coincidence that, recently that pic of Wednesday and Enid shown on a card was also released, or simply that many fan art on Wednesday also feature Enid.

Emma Myers and Jenna Ortega were so close on that set that you could feel how committed they were to their roles and how they interacted.

Before concluding, I would like to be able to add further information, denying a very specific piece of information.

"Wenclair are not so numerous, but they are justw noisy".

Here, let's debunk this falsehood once and for all.

It's true that we are noisy, but we are ALSO NUMEROUS.

The popularity of the Wenclair ship is not the result of simple redundancy across multiple platforms, but is supported by real numbers that demonstrate a higher level of engagement and diffusion than other ships in the series.

• AO3 (Archive of our own)

In the most famous fanfiction site we have the first proof that we are not "just noisy".

In fact, at least until today, the number of fanfictions is equal to about 7605.

On the contrary, the Weyler ones are just under 1200, even worse that Wavier is under 1000 (811 to be exact).

• Wattpad

Here it is extremely more difficult to understand, but it is noteworthy how Wenclair fanfiction have extremely gigantic numbers.

With truly enormous views, even more than you might think.

• Reddit

The subreddits dedicated to the Wednesday series are 2, r/Wednesday (with about 790 thousand members) & r/WednesdayTVseries (with about 40 thousand members).

Now that we know the number of fans of the series, we must think that we are a minority (?)

Well, almost.

The subreddit dedicated to the Wenclair ship has reached a significant number of members, that is, just over 10 thousand members (I read 12 thousand but I don't trust it because sometimes it changes very little).

And there are many intentions in there.

AT LEAST 4/5 posts per day, with additional comments.

With positive votes that reach at least 30/50 up to 800 even (but also 1000) in the space of a few days or weeks.

On the contrary, the Weyler one, with just over 1000 members, you can see the most voted posts that tend to get around 50 or a little less (maybe this is where we can talk about noisy fans at the expense of the low number?).

The Wavier one lmao let's not even talk about it, it's a dead horse.

In the r/wholesomeyuri subreddit, I'm not the only one who posted Wenclair stuff and the results have proven to be extremely positive with posts that had between 109 up to 2 thousand positive votes.

16 hours ago I reached about 950 positive votes, so here too the feeds are not few.

X, Instagram and Tumblr

Well, here we have perhaps the biggest evidence to deny the accusation.

The hashtags related to the Wenclair ship (or Wednesday X Enid) are huge.

Let's start with Tumblr, here the number is around 68,962 with a much more active fan presence than you might think.

Wednesday X Enid has 4743, while the #Wenclair fanart (remembering that it is very often linked to that #Wenclair) has 1293.

The Tumblr community has 578 members (and it's a lot considering that Tumblr communities are a bit of a niche), with at least 2 posts per day.

While some posts?

Wenclair themed posts (mostly fanart) reach a number that reaches from 20 notes up to 3/4 thousand).

A recent one, that of Leodraws3 dated October 31, 2024 reached 3822 notes.

So even on Tumblr we are not just ""noisy"".

• X (or Twitter)

Here things get really funny.

We don't have a precise number, but looking at the likes and shares, the numbers go really high.

The community is increasingly alive, the fanarts reach between 50 likes up to a figure like 5 thousand likes.

Without even excluding the reposts that reach an average of between 100/120 reposts up to even 500 reposts.

They are not few.

• Instagram

Instagram, similarly to X, has fanart or pics in general that revolve around very satisfying results.

From 80 likes up to 2 thousand likes.

One of the arguments often used to belittle Wenclair is that the fandom is mostly made up of extremely young users and therefore "not representative" of the entire Wednesday audience.

However, this claim is not supported by the data. (Besides being pretty bad as a thing to say as if, only adults can appreciate nice but ok things.)

Research shows that LGBTQ+ ships in mainstream media tend to generate the most engagement among 18-34 year olds, who are also the most active age group on fan content platforms like AO3 and Tumblr.

Additionally, TikTok, one of Wenclair’s biggest outlets, has a user base that extends well beyond the underage audience.

TikTok has amassed a slew of video edits and especially fan art videos about Wenclair, garnering hundreds to thousands of likes and shares.

According to data shown by Fandom.com, over 70% of users who interact with LGBTQ+ content in Wednesday’s fandom are between the ages of 18 and 30.

They'll feel like taking back their initial slightly negative and judegemental impression of you and would try to really get to know you. To see who you truly are.

loved all the asks you interacted with yesterday. So i wanted to send one too. I never post in the acotar fandom, because its so hostile. But I follow Elriel content a lot. Do you have any thoughts about how many in this fandom need banter to see any interaction as romantic? And how they see any interaction that has banter as immediately romantic? The amount of hate I see for quiet people and introverst is so disheartening in this fandom. It makes it hard to exist in this fandom as an introvert when I see people calling Elriel's quite style of communicaiton "ew", "toxic", and "icky" all the time simply because they don't banter and arent loud. There's so much misunderstanding of introverts in real life, especially in the US where extroversion is so valued over introversion. I am very happy Sarah has written a beautiful romance between two characters that are quiet and introverted.

I think maybe i'm just not meant for this kind of space. I filter out content and block users to avoid the worst of it, but it literally hurts my heart whenever I see these "criticisms". Because it isn't just directed at two fictional characters, it is directed at qualities of those characters that a lot of people have. What do you think of this?

THANK YOU for bringing this up because you are so right & valid. There are so many important aspects and parts to a relationship. Before I start - I will say, its not just gwynriels. Eluciens also change Elains personality to be more extroverted - so that she can be sassy, bantering with Lucien in fact, despite Elain being potrayed as an introvert by Mass and in official acotar quizzes she is referred to as an introvert- Eluciens always say she is an extrovert. And the only reason she is quiet is due to her trauma.

I understand the desire of a “bantery” relationship - and having fun & joking around is definitely important BUT more then that, being able to communicate without words, spending evenings together talking or just spending time together without having the need to fill the silence is more important and meaningful in my very humble opinion.

Elriel have that. Both of them have the same humour - elains’ gifts for Az has made him laugh however to go along with that, they both spent time together chilling in the gardens - and as a side note: I love how it was this simple, domestic scene that sjm used to have Feyre question why elriel weren’t mates. She could have used any other moment yet chose one that displayed the ease that Elain & Azriel naturally had together. They’ve spent a night talking about Elains gardens - do you know how important and lovely it is to have someone show genuine interest in your hobby and allow you to talk whilst they just listen? - I can name so many other scenes but you get the gist.

I think the appeal of elriel is that you have these two damaged souls that are often over-looked and no one bothers to look past their surface until they meet each other. Elain paying attention and noticing Azriels headaches and their cause. Gifting him a gift for it. Azriel taking elain to the gardens and just sitting there in silence with her. They’ve formed such a beautiful connection.

“banter” at the end of the day - isn’t only enough to carry an important relationship. Does it even suit Azriels/Elains characters? Not really. And the reason I believe antis focus so much on banter is because to them - they believe Az/Elain need to come out of their “shells” and only Gwyn/Lucien can do that for them. God forbid, we have quiet characters who keep to themselves and aren’t loud and “outgoing”. You’re so right, they call elriel “boring” and “superficial” all because they’re more quiet and unassuming with their relationship. It’s ridiculous but you know what it comes down too? The enemies to lovers trope. This one trope has increased in popularity and demand - its almost found in every book and is so common, within this trope a microtrope is obviously “banter” - ofc a lot of antis must read enemies to lovers books -> therefore push this trope & microtrope onto elucien/gwynriel despite it not rlly making sense.

I also think anyone that calls elriel toxic or boring don’t fully understand how important it is to have someone like Elain/Az that you can just be & have so much ease with.

Even if the hate is not directly targeted towards introverted people - when you call characters like Elain/Az: boring, lacking depth, not interesting enough, need their “extroverts” to push them out of their shells -> for those that relate to elriel, it can feel like an attack/hate. Introverted people in general are always mislabelled and misunderstood which isn’t fair, starting off as kids when your teachers tell your parents they’re concerned that there’s something wrong as you’re more quieter and keep to yourself compared to your classmates or worse - try pairing you with the “outgoing” “loud” kids in hopes to bring you out of your shell to teenage years where the “popular” kids make fun off you to try and get you to talk - its a rough world out there.

Im sorry you feel like this fandom isn’t a place for you, but know the elriel side is definitely filled with lots of people that can understand how you’re feeling. I feel like - this whole thing of hating on introverted characters and their relationships such as elriel gives off slight immature vibes or not fully appreciating quiet, meaningful relationships over loud, bantery ones. And I feel Sjm is growing as an author -> her writing is maturing, personally after reading her recent books I do think she values a relationship like elriel more then anything elucien/gwynriel can be.

I agree with you & have felt this way myself when I would see antis hating on Elain for being quiet aka not interesting enough to them or when Id read elucien fics/Hcs where they changed Elains character to being more extroverted - as I joined the fandom quite young, I would see these takes & it used to make me think, I myself would have been considered absolutely uncool and dull. But as I’ve grown older, I like the way my introverted self is. And if thats boring or I lack a personality too some people, oh well. I no longer care. They’re going to eat their words when Elains book comes out and we see her shine.

Stardew Valley MBTI x Enneagram: Elliott

Following my last post about the Stardew marriage candidates and their MBTI types, I've been learning more about Enneagram, how it pairs with MBTI, and how it changes some of the typical characteristics of each type.

The Enneagram and MBTI complement each other wonderfully, providing greater depth and understanding of how a person interacts with the world [Cognitive Functions] and their motivations why [Core Desire/Core Fear].

Here are my thoughts on the MBTI and Enneagram pairs for Elliott.

Elliott - ISFP 4w3: “The Aristocrat”

“ISFP 4w3s are unique people with a touch of ambition. They perfectly combine the adventurous spirit of the ISFP and the creativity of type 4. This type has goals they want to achieve. However, these goals must be achieved uniquely.

Because of their wing, ISFP 4w3s are more action-oriented than most ISFPs. If their wing is especially strong, they’ll have a strong desire to be successful.” - Personality Hunt

Elliott’s Core Desire: To be unique or different

The core desire of the ISFP 4w3 is to be unique and to succeed uniquely. To achieve this, they ensure everything they do highlights their uniqueness.

Even at first introductions, we see Elliott as someone who dramatically stands out in Pelican Town: his manner of speech, style of dress, and his choice to live on the beach alone in a shack.

His goal in life is also unique. Not only does he want to become a successful writer, but he hopes to achieve this dream by moving to Stardew Valley.

“Ever since I was a young boy, I've dreamt of becoming a writer. When the time came for me to leave home and start my own life, I moved here. I was drawn to the peaceful beauty of the valley, and hoped that days of quiet reflection in this idyllic atmosphere would fan the literary flames.”

Elliott’s Core Fear: To be seen as ordinary or a failure

The core fear of the ISFP 4w3 is to be seen as ordinary. They don't want to blend into the crowd, so to prevent this, they'll do everything they can to stand out while being authentic to themselves.

Thanks to his Introverted Feeling [Fi] Elliott stays true to himself despite harsh criticism for pursuing his dreams; however, because his 3 wing is also quite strong, he fears failure or being perceived as a failure if he doesn't accomplish those dreams.

“Everyone back home said I was nuts... that I could never make it as a writer. Can you believe it? They said 'For every successful author there's 1000 who fail miserably'. Such pessimism... it's sickening.”

New Strengths

1. More Ambitious

"Ambition is not the hallmark of ISFPs. Granted, it’s also not the hallmark of ISFP 4w3s. However, it’s more pronounced, thanks to their wing.

Thus, ISFP 4w3s might have goals and targets they want to achieve. If their wing is strong, they might also work towards these targets.

However, because of some of the flaws of a type 4, they might never be disciplined enough to achieve their goals." - Personality Hunt

Having Extroverted Thinking [Te] as his inferior function also makes being disciplined difficult for Elliott, though it's something he strives to improve with his ambitious nature.

"I've been working day and night to try and finish my book... It's been driving me insane, Farmer.”

"Hello, Farmer! What a pleasant surprise! I was just stopping in to [the Saloon to] relax after an eight hour writing session."

They dress to perfection, combining the uniqueness of type 4s and type 3’s need to impress. If there’s something you can be sure about, it’s their dress." - Personality Hunt

Examples:

“I'm just taking a quick break to slather some coconut oil on my body.”

ISFPs, like most sensors, are practical people. They focus on what is directly in front of them and what they can impact in the here and now. This doesn't mean they aren't creative people, but their creativity comes out in more hands-on ways.

This is different for ISFP 4w3s. They are super creative, combining their Extroverted Sensing [Se] and Introverted Intuition [Ni] into their artistic pursuits. They can create almost anything out of nothing, making them excellent writers, designers, painters, etc., etc.,

Examples:

"... I've been dabbling in piano since I was a kid. I'm not very good, but it's fun."

“Hopefully a crab hasn't snuck onto my clothes again. Imagine crawling out of a pocket and finding yourself on a beach hundreds of miles from home! Hmmm... Perhaps this could make for an interesting novel...”

"A day can never be boring when you follow the whims of your imagination."

"A great idea can pass through your head when you least expect it… but if your mind is too busy you might miss it."

"A crackling fire adds wonderful ambience to the house... every piece of wood burns in a unique way."

"I'm doing a walking meditation. It's good for creativity."

4. More Romantic

"Type 4 is often called the romantic. Thus, it’s not surprising that ISFP 4w3s have a strong interest in love and romance.

While this is true, this does not affect their level of commitment in relationships. Just like typical ISFPs, they are in search of someone they are comfortable with.

This might make them seem flighty." - Personality Hunt

Not only does his interest in romance apply to Elliott's intimate relationships, but it can also be seen in his 'romantic' approach to life and literature, which is:

"...marked by the imaginative or emotional appeal of what is heroic, adventurous, remote, mysterious, or idealized." -Merriam-Webster

His unusual approach to life and romance makes many players suspicious of his intentions and sincerity during their first playthrough [myself included]. His fluffy words and flirty attitude cause many to wonder if he is concealing anything nefarious.

However, even though his language and personality can be mushy and over-the-top sometimes, throughout the game we see him as no less sincere than someone who says things bluntly.

Examples:

"I write in hopes of connecting with others through time and space."

"It must be satisfying to follow your crop from seed to harvest. It's as if your essence is infused into the fruit."

"Farmer, I had a feeling that you would show up. Perhaps we're connected by an other-worldly thread."

“Elliott whispers a sweet secret into your ear.”

“Yes... could I refuse that soft, kind face? The touch of spring-time's sweet embrace?”

“You're ice cold! Let me keep you warm.”

"My love... I wouldn't trade you for 100 iridium bars. Nor 1000...Not even 10,000 bars, no....No, not even 100,000 bars!...Wa... one million bars of pure iridium...? Don't make me do this..."

"I made a whole secret book of poems expressing my love for you.”

Depending on the strength of their wing, ISFP 4w3s can be quite competitive since they want to be the best. However, their competitive side usually only appears in games and other social events.

Depending on their maturity and wing strength, this can be an intense drive to win or playful competition between friends and family.

“Well, if it isn't the town's number one ice fisher! That was truly an impressive performance. I never stand a chance, but I always participate just to be sporting.”

"I'm a little out of practice, but I plan on entering the fishing contest tomorrow! You've got some stiff competition, dear.”

New Weaknesses

1. Self Absorbed

The problems of the ISFP 4w3s start here. ISFP 4w3s, just like ISFP 4w5s, can become fixated on themselves.

Thus, they might start feeling they are special. This makes them inflate their problems and put themselves first.

The downsides of this are immense. People might see them as self-centered. They might also strain their relationship with others." - Personality Hunt

The tendency to be self-absorbed creates a lot of problems for Elliott. His desire to be unique often causes him to act in over-the-top and melodramatic ways, especially when first meeting the farmer. Not only are many characters rubbed the wrong way by his melodramatic tendencies, but many players automatically judge him as problematic and pretentious, especially if it's their first playthrough.

However, this is intentional writing for Elliott's character development and while these characteristics can be red flags, they aren't always - as we will see later.

Examples:

“You've plucked Pelican Town's finest flower... Now, you must care for it with all your heart.”

"Another year gone by, another gray hair… I suppose this gift can commemorate my decline."

"Farmer, I know you have faith in my abilities as a writer. That means a lot to me."

“Sometimes I wonder if I might just have an inflated self-image and no real skills...No, no... I'm not fishing for compliments. Though they are appreciated..."

“I have to brush my hair daily, or else it'll clump up into messy knots. It's a lot of work. I'm surprised I haven't just shaved it off in a fit of passion. I suppose I am too vain.”

"Hello, Farmer! What a pleasant surprise! I was just stopping in to relax after an eight hour writing session. Bartender! Fetch me your finest ale. And bring some wine for the lady!”

2. Lower Energy Levels

ISFP 4w3s aren't the most energetic, but if their 3 wing is strong, their lower energy levels may not be that bad. Because they are sensors, they are also more action-oriented when compared to the INFP 4w3.

Examples:

“I can't seem to find the inspiration to begin writing my novel...”

"A great idea can pass through your head when you least expect it… but if your mind is too busy you might miss it."

“That's why I chose this beach as my home, so that I could have peace and quiet to do my work.”

"I spent the afternoon daydreaming about the ocean. So I decided to cook some seafood."

"I had a nice time at the beach by myself. I watched the waves come and go, just like old times."

"Winter is a great time to read books and play the piano. Remember to pause and enjoy a quiet moment or two."

“My inspiration for writing is like the weather... it comes and goes at random. Today I feel entirely dull. Perhaps I'll read one of the classics to get my creative juices flowing.”

3. Battle Between Staying Unique and Being Adaptable

Being a type 4, ISFP 4w3s want to be unique and different. However, type 3 wants to be successful and adaptable, creating internal conflict between the two types, especially if an ISFP 4w3's wing is strong. The core desire of type 4 usually wins in the end, but it's something ISFP 4w3s may struggle with for their entire lives.

Elliott struggles with wanting to achieve his literary dreams uniquely by living a lonely life on the beach. He yo-yos back and forth between wanting stability and security for his future and staying true to himself and his vision of completing his book in his own way.

Examples:

“That's why I live out here by myself. I figured a lonely life by the sea would help me focus on my literary aspirations...”

"Sorry, I'm feeling morose today. I wish there was more certainty about the future. I don't want to grow old as a lonely hermit on this beach…",

“People have scraped a living off the sea for thousands of years. I just go to the grocery store.”

"The sweet friction of pen and paper is the music of my soul. That's why I chose this beach as my home, so that I could have peace and quiet to do my work."

4. Emotions and More Emotions

Being Feelers and type 4s, ISFP 4w3s are very emotional people. While being sensitive to emotion can be a positive, it can also get them into a lot of trouble.

Because of their emotional intensity and Extroverted Sensing [Se] tendency to act in the moment, they can frequently make spur-of-the-moment decisions based on their feelings before thinking them through.

They can also be sensitive to criticism, even if it's constructive and tactful. This can hold them back from achieving their goals and being open to new opportunities.

Examples:

"There's just too much work to do! And my bank account's starting to run dry. Sometimes I wish I could just throw it all away and become a farmer like you."

"I had a good time at the saloon the other day… Though my liver is not quite so enthusiastic…",

“Why do you torment me? Can't you see you've shattered all my hopes and dreams.”

"Gus, I'll order a round for everyone!*hic*… Oh… I don't have the G. Heh heh… Never mind!"

"...Let's see, how do I put this...? For once, I'm at a loss for words... [Elliott leans in and passionately kisses the farmer].” -------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Path of Integration: 4w3 to 7w6

Throughout the game, Elliott struggles to enjoy his life while making his dreams of being a successful author a reality. His core fears of being ordinary and a failure - "to be just like every other failed author" - keep him locked in a prison of his own making.

As a result, he increasingly self-isolates and becomes very self-critical, pushing himself to complete his project even if it is self-detrimental.

Elliott and Shame

Type 4s are in the Heart Triad [along with types 2 and 3] making Elliott's core fear directly related to feelings of shame:

"The core belief type 4s struggle with as a part of the shame triad is that if they aren’t unique, they are unworthy of love...[they] will wear their emotions on their sleeve, and show up as a perfectly curated image to hide that feeling of unworthiness they feel at their core" - Making Mindfulness Fun

"Hello, Farmer! What a pleasant surprise! I was just stopping in to relax after an eight hour writing session. Bartender! Fetch me your finest ale. And bring some wine for the lady!"

Because Elliott also has a strong type 3 wing, his shame is multi-faceted, adding more complexity to his core fears and behaviours:

"[Their] core belief... is that if they aren’t always achieving more, they are unworthy of love...[they] numb and ignore their emotions to deal with their shame. They believe that if they allow themselves to be human, enjoy life, and show their emotions they will be unloved. This leads them to push people away and feel stressed because they believe the only way they can receive love is by being perceived as successful." - Making Mindfulness Fun

"…What I meant is that I'd like to get away from this dark, musty prison and experience a little bit of real life... that's all. *sigh*... sorry I'm complaining like this. I just need someone to talk to now and then.”

Unconditional Love

Once the farmer gets to know Elliott better, he relaxes around them and drops his 'over the top' persona. Though he still enjoys speaking more romantically and eloquently sometimes, he isn't as concerned with having the perfect words to say. He lets his guard down, allowing his true thoughts and feelings to shine.

"Hey. "Look… I fixed up that old rowboat that's been sitting by my house. Pretty nice, huh?"

"But I am grateful that you believed in me… in my vision. And, well… Um… Farmer? How do I say this…Well, we've been friends for a while now… But I'm… I'm not sure if I feel that way about you anymore. No! I'm not saying I want to cut all ties with you! In fact… quite the opposite…Let's see, how do I put this…? For once, I'm at a loss for words…"

Elliott starts to believe that he doesn't need to try so hard to be loved - that he is worthy of love for simply being his authentic self, imperfections and all. It's through the love and support of the farmer that Elliott starts to truly embrace himself and embrace the highs and lows of life, without shame.

Elliott's Book Tour Letters

After Elliott's marriage to the farmer, we see him begin to take on the positive traits of an ISFP 7w6 in his marriage dialogue; however, the evidence of this change can be seen even more in his 14-heart event: his book tour letters.

Letter 1:

"I begin the tour this evening, at a local bookstore. I must admit, I'm becoming a bit nervous at the thought of public speaking…"

Letter 2:

"I miss you very much. Remember to eat well! Oh, and don't forget the leftover crab cakes I put in the fridge…"

Letter 3:

"Last night in Zuzu City was quite the experience! It seems there's a large literary scene here… a few dozen people showed up at my reading! I even signed a couple of autographs… it's strange to be seen as someone important. It's all a matter of framing, a grand illusion… for truly I am no one special. Only your devoted Elliott, as always."

Letter 4:

"In dreams, when graced with lofty view I gaze upon the sunlit sea What distant shores I've traveled to But time now clouds my memory There is but one eternal place Where I shall someday pass beyond In Valley dear, where my love waits: Our little home beside the pond" -Elliott

Letter 5:

"I won't bore you with any more details about my readings. They are mostly the same. I'm sure your time has been much more exciting! I can't wait to return and see what progress has been made...There's a lot to enjoy! Just don't stay out too late in the mines, my love. It's dangerous in there! If you must go… bring plenty of food."

Letter 6:

"This will be my last letter before I return home. I've had a fine trip… though nothing too exciting. It's been nice to meet people who enjoy my work, but I'm eager to return home. I look forward to the comfort of our little house, the satisfying farm work, a home-cooked meal, and most of all, cozying into the flannel sheets with you."

Conclusion

During my first playthrough, I had an unconscious bias towards Elliott. I believed that handsome men who took pride in their physical appearance, and/or spoke in a more romantic, flowery way automatically had something to hide.

Though that IS sometimes the case, it isn’t always, and I think that’s what made exploring Elliott’s character a surprising one for me.

His superficial traits rubbed me the wrong way, and I thought of him as nothing more than a self-centred, pompous, melodramatic ladies' man.

However, once I got to know him better throughout the game, I saw him not as suspicious but as a deeply passionate and highly motivated individual, who despite wrestling with his feelings of shame and unworthiness, is still unapologetically true to himself and his values despite the odds and adversity.

I think that’s how his character was meant to be written, and that subversion of expectation throughout the game made learning about Elliott so genuinely fascinating.

He's not everyone's cup of tea, but based on what we know about him, his personality, and his journey throughout the game, he has much more to offer than what first impressions might imply.

I do think everything plays a part in gmmtv not appreciating First and Khaotung as much as their other artists. The marketability is definitely different with them. They are both introverts, they don't do much fanservice or follow trends and do frequent updates, although there's some improvement there, thanks to Joong lets be real. Let's look at JD, they are both very loud, extroverts who are happy to "sell" themselves and know how to make people pay attention to them. And they do fanservice a lot, do valentines day updates together, play along, etc. Gmmtv actually prefers that. And I also believe sadly the rumors of their girlfriends play a part too, it feels almost like a punishment. It's really odd that they just left them out completely from their schedules. And First in response keeps posting about his recent Korea trip while his 'alleged' girlfriend also posted from her trip to Korea a couple weeks. I'm not saying I believe all those rumors but fans are quick to find those things and I don't think gmmtv likes that. It's really sad because an actors personal life shouldn't be a factor in things like that but it seems like in this industry it's important because there's money involved, people are invested in the CPs and the fantasy of it all. FK reach a different kind of audience than JD or FB or PS. A quieter, more laid back group who are not the best with trending on sm, but it almost feels like FK themselves are not really into all those things either? And I keep seeing people mention they're not being chosen for brand deals cause they don't fit thai beauty standards, which is honestly hard to believe, like how? But they do have a bigger international fandom than local.

I’ll agree that FK tend to attract the ‘quieter’ fans - in fact, some casual fans of FK actually said in a nice joking manner that during LOLFanfest 2025 Thai Soms tend to come and give out merch quietly to other fans and just scurry away without talking or interacting much 😂….

I always get the feeling GMMTV as a company don’t t know what to do with FK beyond their obvious acting talent- extrovert like JD (bless them, I do love their superbly unhinged fanservice hehe…) and PP/GF/PS/WE do better cause these artists self-promote themselves in very obvious manners. Even JimmySea who are a quieter CP promote themselves better? (Their brand exploded after Last Twilight ☺️)

Case in point….Joong and Fourth being talked on recently as young Thai stars that luxury brands should have on their radars. Dunk was also recently on the cover magazine/photoshoot for Rowena baggage (I’m pretty sure this is some fancy luggage brand 🤔)

I will also say some Soms are just too critical, almost to the point of hypocrisy? 2nd anon, unfortunately it’s true - some fans tagged the boys and brands when they blasted those brands. Like I say, I get it - you pay a lot of money to see the boys, but well, it doesn’t look good for the boys when these happened? (And it makes me wonder cause these brands also employ other boys from GMMTV like the recent Dunk MELA event, and previously Perth - we don’t see their fans criticising, or maybe I’m just not aware of them 🫣)

As for KT not being interested in fashion, oh I think he is. His style (and First) are actually quirky with a side of cuteness (but I don’t know whether their style speaks to Thai luxury brands). I personally like their styles (from the accessories they chose etc.) - an insider in the fashion industry maybe able to shed some light to this? Maybe the boys themselves don’t want to tie to specific brands cause it might mean they are restricted in what they could wear (i.e limiting their artistic sense?)

Although, I will say this - when FKT were younger they did some self-photoshoots (here, have some vampire looking Khaotung 😂) - I don’t think they do this anymore (not surprising, this take money and a lot of effort to coordinate, and I remember Mix said when he and Earth did their Songkran photoshoot, it was expensive!)

As for this trending business, it’s a double edge sword isn’t it? Personally, I think I will leave it up to the individuals to do what they want. I will say this upfront (I say this previously in a different ask) - I do not think CFC will get as much tweet as we did for THK though (we as a group are just not as organised as a lot of other fandoms hahah) - THK trended well largely in part due to the military precision of Joong Archen Trend official account (😂👌 - got to admire the tenacity of the person behind that account!)

But trending well doesn’t mean it’s a good series though, especially now when 1/2 of the tweets are meaningless affirmations or useless games that has nothing to do with the series itself. Whether trending well translates to the artists themselves getting jobs…well, I mentioned in the previous ask I find it interesting despite OF/THK considered a success - not all actors achieve the same level of exposure…
