Making a Dash with Immunity frames

To make a dash in unreal engine, you need to make a custom event. i have a flipbook set for this for when i create a dashing animation, then its as simple as getting the forward vector of the ball that i am spinning to, and launching the character by 15000 times its originial movement

to make the immunity, you will need another custom event, and we need to pair that with a boolean. booleans are either true or false so we name this 'is dashing' and we need to say when 'is dashing' is set to true you take no damage from anything, the print texts here and for the dashing are for testing purposes and will tell me exactly what is being executed

The code below will kill anything that i dash into, this is working because it is checking my speed and if it is above the regular move speed then it will know that i am dashing, and will gather everything i hit in the dash and will then be killed.

In the enemy characters code, we also break apart the damage nodes a little bit and add a branch and the boolean

the condition is if the player is dashing if it s true then no damage is applied, if it is false then it will do the damage code, ive put the invincibility event on the end of taking damage too, so you get immunity frames when you take a hit too.

I kinda like ficss where a meta is in a situation with dick or any robin where they have an invunerability to something that badly effects humans, and they face the realisation that this kid is just a human. Not that it makes him any weaker or less good of a hero, its just that he also has human limits that they've never had to think about before

Idk if anyone will read this post but I've been trying to learn a bunch about different characters. And I've so far been learning about Tim. He's got so much content to sort through. I think only Dick (in terms of the Robins) has more content than him. So here are my thoughts while reading through some of Tim Drake's Robin run.

Batman 468-469:

Tim has really been set up to be the "Robin who Saves Batman." Because Tim is a Robin who does not have an internal desire to run around as a caped crusader, "why is Time Drake a hero" seems to be an essential question to his existance from the beginning:

I get why he had the longest running Robin solo act.

Bruce is very very protective of Tim in this arc. Makes sense since he just lost his old Robin and was spiraling because of it. We're -- time wise -- about a year and a few months since Jason's death. It makes sense that Bruce is having a hard time since another boy in danger, especially in a situation where that boy is being targetted by the big bad of the run. I guess they have to get Bruce to a point where he'll let Tim run around without as much helicoptering (and eventually found the Young Justice!). Its a really fun emotional core.

Batman 470

Just fun romps. I know I should switch to Robin II (Robin I covered his training with lady shiva & meeting king snake which i wrote about here) to keep learning about Tim. But I do like the Batman comics. I do not understand the difference between the Batman & Detective Comics. Like I get the Detective Comics are the original Batman comics but they're both about Batman so like.... why have two batman runs about the same guy and characters in the same universe? Just put out more detective comic runs? Makes no sense (plus having dual Batman v Detective Comic runs really fucked over Jason's time as Robin. I'm excited they're putting out the Batman & Robin: Jason Todd comics soon so we can finally have a definitive Jason Todd Robin characterization.)

(Side Note: Thoughts about the Batman comics though. I dislike that they stopped in 2011. I mean this comic series has been running since the 1940s! Its cool for a character to have that much history. Honestly, they shouldn't have rebooted the OG lines like Batman/Detective Comics/Superman/Action Comics. They're such long running series its more fun to let them just keep going. Especially since they ended up rolling it all back anyway. Its just a weird choice to decide the shit that kept your company alive from the 1940s doesn't matter anymore?)

Mary has two surnames for varied reasons but I'll tell you the basics of her big appearances. Earth-S or classic Mary, New Earth or PoS (Power of Shazam) Mary, and 52/current Mary.

Classy Mary was raised as Mary Bromfield, a very well educated and intelligent ingenue with lots of academic and practical knowledge. The former of which we see in her first appearance as a contestant on a sort of gameshow segment Billy is hosting and, during a trip over commercial, Billy finds out he had a long-lost twin sister that was swapped with another couples deceased child at age 6 months, so Billy thought he was an only child. The person expositing this is the nurse who swapped them, and she gives Billy a half heart locket to identify his sister with, and that sister turns out to be Mary who he saves after she's kidnapped after the show.

Billy reveals himself after saving her as Captain Marvel and Mary wonders aloud if, since they're twins, she could transform by saying Shazam too. Lo and behold, she does! With a pantheon her own the Wizard procured she becomes Mary Marvel, Earths Mightiest Girl, and fights crime with her brother and their friend Freddy Freeman (Captain Marvel Junior).

Mary had her own comic run, lots of adventures fighting such treats as witches or dealing with mundane trials like baby-sitting way too many kids, but she does all this good with pride and cataloged it for her own trips down memory lane in her Good Deeds Ledger. One other story I adore where she loses her powers due to a calendar issue is that she's able to keep fighting with funny traps and devices when she's lost her powers to keep taking down the mobsters of that issue. Mary is a very kind, good hearted, and clever girl with a family in the Bromfields and with Billy and their extended Marvel Family.

Power of Shazam Mary was raised as Mary Batson, no swapping in childhood, but after a crazy trip to Cairo for a dig with her archeologist parents when Billy was left home for the trip due to bad grades in school Mary loses both her parents and is smuggled back to the states by their killer and passed off to the killers sister to deal with. The killers sister is the updated nurse who swapped Mary in the last iteration, Nurse Primm, who had Mary adopted by the Bromfield couple where the mother was a cousin of Mary's mother and didn't want Mary to end up with their uncle like Billy would end up. Mary suffered from amnesia and night terrors after the whole ordeal and couldn't remember the Batsons, only a vague feeling that Captain Marvel looked like her dad when she saw him.

Eventually, Billy is able to reveal the whole thing and in another kidnapping plot Mary does get her powers again, though this time shared with Billy and his pantheon. After a lot more plot of the PoS comics, both Billy and Mary end up adopted by the Bromfield couple and living together as superpowered siblings.

Current Mary is only Mary Bromfield, no longer the twin sister to Billy as she was in all other iterations of her character. She is college aged, ran away from her home with the Bromfields in winter because of their abuse, and ended up fostered by the Vasquez Family where she would get Freddy and later Billy as foster brothers. Billy would share his powers with his family again, empowering Mary again, but after comic plot and Lazuras Planet: We Once Were Gods, Mary is empowered by her own pantheon again while Billy regains the favor of the Wizard and his pantheon.

Notes:

Cerridwen/Taliesin: these two go hand in hand. Cerridwen is seen as the goddess of inspiration and healing who looks after the cauldron of Awen (Inspiration in Welsh). She's best known for being the mother of Morfran and Creirwy as well as for being the main instigator of the potion of inspiration debacle. Cerridwen was trying to brew it for her son, Morfran, to offset his hideousness. It didn't quite work because her servant, Gwion, accidentally splashed his finger with the hot liquid when he was stirring it and Cerridwen WENT APESHIT. Long story short she and he have a battle of sorts where they shape-shift into various animals until Gwion eventually transforms into a piece of grain and hides amongst the grain. Cerridwen, not be outdone, transforms into a hen and swallows Gwion-as grain. Nine months later she gives birth to Taliesin. She can't bring herself to kill Gwion/Taliesin so she throws the baby into a river. Happily, he gets discovered by Elffin - son of Gwyddno Garanhir - and is adopted. His name means radiant brow and he's the chief of bards. Is hot shit. He haunts me. Accompanied Arthur on his quest to Annwfn and wrote about it presumably in a fugue state.

Tristan/Esyllt: U know the drill: boy loves girl, girl loves boy, girl is given away to boy's ass-earred uncle. It all ends unhappily right? Right? WRONG!!! Esyllt and Tristan run to King Arthur after being outlaws and are like 'EXCUSE ME CAN U TELL MARCH TO S T O P?' Arthur is like 'okay one of U can have her when the trees have leaves and another can have her when they don't.' March chooses the second option cuz the nights are longer and Esyllt is like 'SUCKS TO BE U. There are three trees that are good of their kind, holly and ivy and yew, which keep their leaves as long as they live. I am Trystan's as long as he lives.' #GETREKTMARCH!!! Also, Tristan HAS INVUNERABILITY and is besties with Gwalchmai.

Finally, King Arthur. Here he is. Portrayed as both a warlord and a noble, level-headed lad in later stories Arthur is many things and one of them is Dumbo. I love him. He's a himbo. Goes on a quest and doesn't do anything, tries to kidnap a lady and his two besties have to drag him off, battles a guy (Hueil) and kills him cuz Hueil has the audacity to try and mack off with his mistress and thus incurs Gildas' wrath. Has a fuckin huge dog (Cafall) and a fuckin huge horse (Llamrei.) His wife is a giantess and Arthur recognises he's punching above his weight with her. Has Caledfwlch - his sword- and Rhongomyniad - his spear - and a fuckin boat that he loves more like his wife. He also fucks off Cai with an englyn so bad it makes me genuinely want to hit him with my shoes. Be nice, Arthur. Cai, by rights, should've lopped off his head. Is probably Wales' best boi after Cadwaladr, also has two gods in his retinue and I will take every opportunity to yell about that until I fuckin DIE.

Hello, I was hoping you could help me find or at least help recover some information of the fic. I’ll try my best remember everything I know. For starters it was a delated mafia Sans x male reader or gender neutral reader and the fic was on Wattpad. Don’t remember the title but it might have had the word soul in it however I’m not completely sure. Plot: The reader was part of a rival gang along with their friend but the friend got in trouble with leader who threatened them saying that if they didn’t go undercover in the monster gang he would kill their friend. So the went and that’s how they met Sans, I know the reader spend a butch of time with the monster and is overhaul done with their gang. So the most I remember is the finishing parts of the fic for starters Sans and reader kiss? or they say they’re in love with each other anyway reader gets kidnapped by their gang and gets tortured for information we also find out the friend betrayed them. So Sans and everyone else goes to rescue the reader lots and lost of fights Sans and the reader kiss when they see each other is all nice. They defeat the boss and it might have to do with the readers soul but I can’t really remember. It ends with them at the hospital we’re we find out reader friend didn’t betray them they talk do im sure he didn’t stick around for long, basically it ends with a happy ending. Other details: The reader soul is pretty important in the fic I believe it was turquoise color and it had nothing to do with integrity and patience. Characters like Frisk, Papyrus, Toriel and a couple of other showed up in the fanfic. The author had a picrew profile and they had maybe one or two other works excluding the one I’m talking about. The author did say they were moving to ao3 before they deleted everything but I didn’t save anything and have made attempts but I haven’t found them. So why did I come here if I know it’s delete? Well to see if anyone could find it on the wayback machine or they have it downloaded and could share, I deeply adore this fic and this blog give some hope of a way to get it back. Conclusion to all this please download your favorite fanfics it will save a lot of heartbreak also to the person who runs this blog I apologize for the long explanation.

hello!!! been looking for this fic for a bit and havent had any luck finding it yet so!! looking for some help :) the fic was a gaster-sans centric fic (not a ship). i distinctly remember the fic including gaster injecting himself with determination, and that alphys' dad was a scientist in the gaster team, who was also retconned out of existence. there was also a box that was invunerable? or at least resistant to the retcon and/or reset powers. some things im not too sure about but are pretty much positive about it is that it spanned from the creation of the core to leaving to the surface, and that it might have been part of a series. thank you in advance!!! :3

You know what would be cool for a Halloween theme? Maybe have something where the Lego Monkie Kid gang and with Ao Bing from Nezha (2019), discuss and debate what horror movie scenarios they would and would not survive. Movies I can think of: Smile, A Quiet Place, Get Out, Chucky, Bird Box, It, The Institute, The Exorcist, Saw, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Halloween, The Ring,  Pet Semetary, The Shining, Scream, Valak in the Nun, SCP-096, The Rake, Cartoon Cat, Mirrors, Five Nights At Freddies, Slender, Mandela Catalogue, The Demogorgon in Stranger Things,

And maybe some horror supernatural folklore / mythological creatures or some scary cryptids.

Sun Wukong: def claims that he could survive *all* of the horror bad guys. Freddy Kruger might pose an issue, but then he just doesn't sleep. Thinks the Hellraiser cenobites seem kinda cool to hang out with - wonders if he has something like the Lament Configuration Box in his treasure hoard. He def wants to see which between him, SCP-096, and 682 could win in a fight.

SWK, sinks to the bottom of Crystal Lake: "Hey bud, can't swim good either?" Jason Voorhees: ???

Macaque: doesn't care about whether or not he'd survive an encounter, cus his shadow powers and combat experience immediately puts him at an advantage above a lot of threats. Hunters becomes the hunted. Monsters that manipulate sound or space like Sirenhead or the Cenobites would freak him tf out though.

MK: argues that he could probably survive the human threats/slashers and smaller monsters; but mind-warpers like Pennywise (that spider form Ew) would pose him a big problem. Without his powers though, I think he'd be most afraid of a Saw-situation where he has to make really tough permanent decisions. Also the temptation to watch The Ring video would be so great.

Mei: "I turn dragon-mode and samadhi fire their butt! Boom! Done! No more evil doll!" Would give creatures like certain SCPs some credit tho. Her biggest obstacle would be things like the Bird Box or IT monsters who tap into a persons fears, and characters like Jason who seem invunerable.

Red Son: "I'd survive, duh. Literally on fire." Horror comedy makes him chortle with delight. Even when it's wholely inappropriate. Gives the most logical answers to each horror scenario.

MK: "Hellraiser?" Red: "Wouldn't open the box. I've already seen Hell." MK: "Five Nights at Freddys?" Red: "Bullclone death match against the posessed animatronics." MK: "Ok fair, that sounds amazing. The Ring?" Red: "Who watches untagged videos in this day and age?" Mei: "Ok smart guy how about this; Friday the 13th. You vs Jason." Red: "Easy. Don't go to New Jersey." Mei and MK: *annoyed sigh*

Tang: snorts at the thought of living through a horror movie scenario. He has weak ankles and can't fight physically like at all. In a ghost/supernatural horror scenario like with the Cenobites, Pazuzu, Sadako, or Valac; he might actually win cus of his Golden Cicada powers. Panics at the first encounter and accidentally exorcises all the demon/ghost threats.

Sadako/Ringu girl: *crawls out of tv* Tang, eating popcorn: "Pigsy! The TV is leaking!"

Pigsy: doesn't like modern horror movies much. The kind that grosses him out the most though are cannibals/evil cooks. Thats against chef's code right there! Would personally want to whack every member of the Sawyer/Leatherface family with his rake. Would see the "no good punks" from Scream and immediately knock them out with a frying pan. Admits that he'd be useless in a legit slasher scenario since he's a chubby older guy and; "those guys are always like the third person killed."

Sandy: doesn't like horror thank you very much! Too many nice characters and animals die in those films for his taste. Although he would attempt to reason/redeem some horrors, he would not hesistate to destroy threats that have no sense of reason. He would also try to adopt and rehabilitate any "evil animal" type of monster.

Demogorgon: *snapping and snarling* Sandy: "Aww! He's just a scared little guy!"

Nezha: just got introduced to horror media, and he likes the ones with physical threats in them. He doesn't fear death/getting hurt as much since he's mostly made of regenerating lotus roots. Also his fire abilities would def give him a boost over most human and monster threats. Would see "cosmic parasites" like Pennywise and Cartoon Cat as his main targets. As for ghosts/demons? He doesn't even care.

Freddy Kruger, looking around Nezha's mind: "Damn b*tch. You live like this?"

Ao Bing: just got here. So he's freaked out by the lightest of horror movie threats. Chucky, the Gremlins, the Leprechaun, all make him shriek. Ironically has the most useful power; his ice immobilizes a lot of the human/monster threats. Probably knows enough magic to counteract/repel most ghosts or demons. With bigger threats? Dragon form. Nezha probably makes the arguement for Bing since he underestimates himself.

Since on of the chapters had the marines talking about how crocodile was seen on emptee bluffs along with the panels showing the remaining seraphim do you think cross guild will end up fighting them

See this is interesting because like

Basic Storytelling 101 would tell us that yes, because we see the remaining Seraphim along with the mention of Crocodile arriving at Emptee Bluffs, it would make sense if the Seraphim have been deployed to go there. This is just how one tells stories.

That said, that was when Crocodile and Daz arrived at EB, we don't know when Mihawk got there and Cross Guild was formally formed, but I'd assume he might've arrived sometime later since Mihawk did have to travel there all the way from Paradise. (Also we know Crocodile contacted Mihawk sometime after the Reverie when the Shichibukai were disbanded, and that was what, before Luffy and co got to Wano, right? And Cross Guild was formally announced sometime around/slightly before the Strawhats liberated Wano, right? So yeah, there should be some passage of time there)

The point being, while the Government may have been willing to spend resources on the individual former Warlords and even send Seraphim after them, when they now have THREE gathered together, the Government COULD see that as too big of a threat to spend resources on, potentially

And I think the key deciding factor here is going to be what's going to go down on Egghead, because depending on what happens there after the flashback wraps up, I could see the Marines deciding to change course with the remaining Seraphim and send them after Luffy and co instead, because they could become a more important target to take down than Cross Guild

Another thing is that we don't know how Buggy's mutiny is going to go from here; he has riled up his men, they have a ship and we don't know how Crocodile and Mihawk are dealing with the situation they're in

I would discuss how killing Buggy could roll out for Croc&Hawk but really, all things considdered, I don't think Oda is going to have the two kill Buggy. Like in-universe it'd be an option, but on a meta level, I don't think it'd actually happen in the narrative, so discussing the option feels like a waste of time.

So really, I think the options for Croc and Hawk on how to deal with Buggy's mutiny would be to

SOMEHOW shut the clown up and get him to calm his men down. IDK how (violence only helps so much) but SOMEHOW

Let the clown leave with his men and stay on Emptee Bluffs by themselves (and maybe whoever else might want to stay (Galdino, perhaps?)

Join Buggy on the Quest for One Piece??? Reluctantly???

And this is where the Seraphim come back into the discussion. Because like. Due to the Seraphim having Lunarian Blood, they're pretty much invunerable in most circumstances, and neither Crocodile or Mihawk should have an understanding on how to fight them. The two are powerful for sure, but if they don't even know the trick to beating the Seraphim/Lunarians, then they could very much be in trouble

So if we were looking at Scenario 2, if there's no ship for Croc and Hawk to escape on, unless they steal a ship from the Marines they're gonna be in real trouble actually. Again, narratively speaking I doubt Oda would kill Crocodile and Mihawk like that, but IDK if the Marines would even want to grab the two and bring them in back to Impel Down or anything if they did catch the two?

Which brings us to the other two Scenarios, where, it doesn't even matter which we're looking at really, if the Seraphim come to Emptee Bluffs the entirety of Cross Guild might just have to flee on Buggy's ship (if they can) (and at that point CrocHawk might actually end up stuck on Buggy's One Piece Quest)

Regardless, since Oda does want to focus on the Strawhats I don't think we're going to get to see A Big Fun Showdown between Crocodile and S-Croc (nor S-Mingo, fun as that would be), but if the Seraphim don't change course from where they're (probably) headed right now, then they might have an unavoidable, brief fight in coming, yeah

In anycase, I can not fucking wait to see what the hell kind of ability Vegapunk gave S-Croc, I need to see that little shit in action

This almost certainly already exists, but someone should make a Doom wad that is just the entirety of the first game but it organically introduces all the new elements from Doom II as it goes on (e.g one of the secrets in Episode 1 is changed to contain a Super Shotgun, some of the earlier Barons in Episode 2 are replaced with Hell Knights, Megaspheres are used in place of Invunerabilities or Soulspheres).

So, I've been thinking... Goh builds himself up to be infallible, right? Although underneath all the gadgets and absurd defenses, he's just an ordinary man. So then... what if he were susceptible to certain attacks even with the Exoskeleton, like... magic attacks? Since magic isn't really in Goh's area of expertise, his normal defenses probably weren't built with it in mind... I imagine after some research, he'd probably put up a force field or something to protect against magic.

Basically... it's just a hilarious juxtaposition that Goh builds himself up with these defenses to become a nigh-invunerable powerhouse... yet if he hasn't researched how to defend against it, you can still one-shot him with Avada Kedavra.
