Me when I wish to yap I suppose owo;; So Suou and the number 4 I can't promise this will be quality it's mostly just silly speculation/whatever I found/delusion

So the number 4 is unlucky that's the basis of this, it's unlucky because of it sounding like death in so many languages

I'm not gonna start with 4 though I need to first start with this (he's so silly with the borb)

So this is from the Chinese new years merch iirc and I think it's quite funny to have his associated animal on here the bird commonly known for resurrection and revive especially in some mythologies where it has to go through burning itself up in order to come back to life... *squints* ...

ironically for what I was starting this post with, the phoenix in specifically Chinese mythology are good luck though for these ones they don't resurrect usually. However they are paired with dragons either for good or bad or for good AND bad (it's usually a m/f situation cause [Long] dragon [Huang] phoenix) for JP, they appear only during a new era and hide themselves during bad, descending to do good deeds and then leaving to wait for a new era and when put with a dragon they're either as enemies or lovers (the two names for the phoenix since despite it being widely put as female it's actually Feng for male which represents the Sun and Yang while Huang is the Moon and Lunar) So in the full art he is the only one with a non zodiac animal (ofc Kaji too but he has a snake and turtle) Wow ironically he's 4th on this line u- *dragged out*

OK now the part where I actually point out him being 4th in everything so he's very usually featured as the fourth character, he's on the 4th cover of the manga and the cd and the 4th anni (With Nirei ofc) I'm sure there's other visual instances however I am not the best at finding things it's probably why I keep losing my braincells too.

He's put 4th in the trailer announcement too even though he shows up before Sugishita on the trailer when its showing the vas it goes Sakura Nirei Sugi Suou everyone else but in the anime when it actually introduces them (with the lil nameplates or not on account of Sakura and Sugi not having one) Sakura Kotoha Nirei Suou Sugi and then Tsuge and Kiryu

However I am short and cannot reach the top shelf i highly doubt this is related i just find it funny he truly got locked into the 4th slot even in the trailer.

Did I even have a point with this? probably... have I forgotten? Probably... I mean silly closed off character who doesn't like engaging with others and opening up to them oddly associated with number of death and also has a name that means revival and phoenix imagery (also dragon imagery since he always says there's a dragon in his eye) I am not going to go deeper into this my brain is to wormy already and I'll start to ask stuff like man what if he was revived or is going to be or maybe its why he keeps his distance cause he's- *dragged away*

HEAR. ME. OUT.

I know that — given Zenitsu’s very blatant obsession with romance and his behavior toward women in general — this headcanon immediately seems unrealistic, but I genuinely think that it’s one of the most interesting and fitting ideas I’ve ever had for him. Especially when you go deeper into his character and the themes of love, fear, and self hatred that ultimately surround him. They’re present from the very beginning, when he “proposes” to that random civilian girl.

He might say that it’s because he thinks she fell in love with him, but his explanation for why she has to marry him ultimately boils down to “I have to marry someone before I die.” Or “someone has to love me before I die.” It has absolutely nothing to do with the girl he’s supposedly interested in, and that applies to nearly every moment he has with a “romantic interest.” Including Nezuko! It seems like he’s more obsessed with the idea of being in love or having it than actually experiencing it.

It is a very real possibility (given the era and Zenitsu’s implied lack of a real childhood) that he grew up under the assumption that romantic love was the only kind of valid love. More accurately, the only kind of love that couldn’t abandon him. Familial love was supposed to be unconditional, but his parents orphaned him before he was even old enough to remember what they looked like. Platonic love was barely any better, given the implication that his friends abandoned him when his fear originally got in the way of their bond.

There’s little doubt in my mind that he’d seen or even heard tons of married couples who stayed together despite hating or no longer caring for each other, simply because it’s what they were supposed to do. Would it be that much of a surprise if it turned out that Zenitsu had simply latched onto that? If he saw a couple who thought everything about the other was annoying but stayed anyway, and craved it even when he knew it would hurt him? He had seven ex-girlfriends who used him for money and then discarded him.

And every time I watch him fluster in front a random pretty girl, the same question sits at the back of my mind: “do you actually like her, or are you just unused to the idea that someone might look at you and find you desirable at all?”

Because it’s exactly how I used to think.

I used to think that romantic relationships were the only kind where people could stand beside each other forever, without a doubt in their minds that that’s where they were supposed to be for the rest of their lives. That whatever friends and family you had would inevitably have to leave you behind for their romantic partners, and that being anything less than one of those would make you a permanent second choice. So I forced myself to have crushes and become comfortable with the idea of a future where I had kids and a husband and played housewife. I was wrong. Dead wrong.

And, yeah, a lot of this is definitely me projecting onto Zenitsu (a thing I do with basically all of my favorite characters) but tell me that that doesn’t make at least a little bit of sense to you?

This morning I saw @effervescent-lesbian ‘s post about how netflix_in’s instagram posted some byler coded things. I got so excited, and wanted to find these posts myself to see if there was any extra context to them. I spent pretty much the whole day scrolling through the instagram account trying to find it (because they post like 5 times a day and my phone kept glitching and sending me to the top).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think those posts are not supporting byler, but making a joke using byler. The posts were a bunch of photos grouped together to convey their message. I didn’t know most of the shows, but both of them used Friends which I have seen a few episodes of (and obviously they used stranger things as well.) I don’t really know how to explain the posts, so I am adding the photos (to my knowledge the guys from friends in the photo were never a cannon couple, but correct me if I’m wrong.)

Anyways, this post is in no way meant to discourage you about byler. I am almost certain byler will happen. I am more saying that these instagram posts are not our strongest piece of evidence.

By the way, this is not meant to be a dig at effervescent-lesbian. They genuinely did nothing wrong and I am worried I sound mad at them. (I sometimes have issues with tone, and also have a huge fear of hurting someone’s feeling, so I want to clarify this is not their fault.)

Anyways, I hope this made sense or was at least somewhat coherent. My brain turned into mush after all that scrolling through instagram.

yk atla is a great show for a plethora of reasons but one of the best is the character development isn't "bad trait gets swapped for a good trait" it's "characters always had this trait but were taught to hate it but learns that it's actually not a bad trait and is beautiful in many ways"

zuko is taught that his kindness is weak but he figures out it actually makes him great at working with people

katara is stubborn which is supposed to be a bad trait but she changes the way a whole societies think for the better

sokka's skepticism is treated as being annoying but him questioning things no one else wanted to saved everyone

aang is super hopeful to the point of naivety which actually ends up helping him find the ideal solution

toph's independence is treated like she's not being a team player but it quite literally created a new type of bending

Suki's assertiveness is treated as rudeness but actually helps a lot of healthy commutation for like everyone

What's really evocative to me in all the new revelations and hints about Kris' true nature and intentions in Chapter 4 is the impression that... Kris is never free.

When they are free of our direct control, they are still not acting 100% of their real desires, they are following the orders of some evil Voice(s?) on the phone.

The ending seem to imply some sort of emotional conflict between them wanting to help out Susie, who is very dear to their heart, and following this plan which is probably not beneficial to her. A plan that they have to follow cause...

When Kris is not controlled by our very literal puppet-strings, they are instead controlled by the coercion and emotional manipulation of their mysterious benefactor. No matter which option they go with, Kris just cannot be free.
