#is when jason tells him that bruce isn't a good idea for reasons he can't say

Jason agrees to go through the legal hassle of being declared alive again. Mostly so he can go to college like how he wanted.
He would have done it under a fake ID, but he kinda wanted the success of having a Masters in English attached to the name he grew up with.
It's going pretty great, actually! He's making friends, gets to punch random paparazzi's in the face, and learning has always been fun for him.
But one of his college friends, Danny Fenton, is...weirdly obsessed with Wayne Manor?
Jason gets it, he does, the Manor is huge and of course the guy would want to see it as often as he could.
Then he starts to realize that Danny is strangely attentive to Bruce.
Like, actually flirting with Bruce.
Oh no his college friend, who is his age, is flirting with Bruce so hard it's making Bruce blush.
OR; Danny thinks Bruce is hot, and that the outraged faces of the man's children as Danny flirts with him are hilarious. Also Jason started it by trying to flirt with Danny's mom when he met Danny.

If you like, (as I saw you indeed do, from an ask) De-ageing promts/asks? Consider THIS~!
Everyone always hitting our poor baby boy Tim with that De-Ageing! As though his puss ain't tight and assets perky! Rude! You know who SHOULD be hit?
>:Dc Bruce~
Because him and Ra's are once again going at it. Bruce is not blind and DOES NOT appreciate this man panting after his Son. Is he a hypocrite? Maybe. But he's still gonna punch Ra's about kicking his boy out a window and the various bits of leering.
They do the Traditional by now, Dramatic Heroic/Immortal Sword Fight near the pits.
Ra's makes A Comment(tm). Of what he'll do when Bruce is dead. Since Bruce has failed to join him, Talia failed to give him a Worthy Heir, and Tim proven... Interesting(tm).
Can't do SHIT without limbs, Ra's. Bruce sees red and tries to feed the fucker his own entrails. Very calm. Toooootally thinking clearly.
It was, rather predictably, a trap. But Bruce is a talented man. So now they're BOTH stabbed pretty badly. Very homo-erotic, which is also traditional. Because with Ra's of course it is. Regardless, Ra's has NOT survived this long just to die to Daddy "don't fuck my son".
Into the pits we both go!
Which? Honestly, he's been trying for YEARS to get Bruce to use. So he can see reason. Ra's can admit the irony.
They struggle. Are drowning. Healing. Still impaled. Break free of each other, even as they try to grapple each other into submission. Again, the homo-eroticism is thick enough to choke lesser men. All the while? The pits are healing.
The wounds, yes. But also everything ELSE. They ARE submerged after all. Ra's? Expects this. Bruce? No idea what's coming.
He drags Ra's blade free of his body and breaks surface. Pit furious and seeing green. Damn near baby faced, at JUST under 20.
Turns out taking care of your body means there's less to "Fix". Self destructive Missions come back to bite him once again. But? Shit. Ninjas. Pouring in to help a fresh faced Ra's. Late 20s and in his prime once more. Damn it!
This isn't over, he growls.
Does NOT like the amused way Ra's is smirking.
One fight out and a stolen jet later? Bruce gets to stare in horror at his Twink-ification. Half his sons are physically OLDER then him. There is no way in hell he can hide this with make up. Luckily, it's Gotham.
He stages a kidnapping of himself. "Unknown chemical agent" combined with the INFAMOUS Gotham bay water. Clark, pretending to be him (once he's done laughing) goes in, Twink Bruce comes out.
People believe it.
Brucie Wayne is too dumb to make this up, after all. And stranger things have happened. Once cleared by the hospital? He heads home.
Now what.
He LIKED his Dilf status. His "silver fox in the making". He didn't have to "date". Booze it up or party. He was FREE damn it. He sulks. Jason and Dick are laughing at him.
Tim let's him hide in his office. Starts crafting "new lease on life" PR campaigns. They are, unfortunately, going to have to attend a Fad Pilates-Yoga-Samba Fusion Dance class. He's so sorry.
It's awful.
What's WORSE?
Is he forgot how HORNY he was at this age. It Does. NOT. Stop. Just an endless stream of wanting to thrust and fuck and lick and suck and-. It literally keeps him up at night! Even after patrol! And Selina? She won't touch him with a ten foot pole.
He's "an infant".
Call her when he's fixed.
He ALMOST considers some of the girls in his god awful class. But then they open their mouths and say some of the most soulless, casually cruel, things he's ever heard. And THAT reminds him he has standards.
He manages to find NICE ones, but then THEN start talking? And good lord, they are BABIES. Where are their fathers and why have they failed these wonderful young ladies? Have a college fund. Bruce is your father now.
And STILL horny.
Possibly in hell.
He tells this, even though he probably shouldn't, to Tim. Rants really. Because Tim let him hide again. Brought him coffee and dinner. And? Frankly? TIM is reasonable! Bruce wouldn't BE in this situation if he could find even a SINGLE woman like him!
And Tim watches Bruce pace. Muscles rolling as he walks. Still in work out gear. Young, nearly his age, so hot Tim wants to choke himself on his... Well. Tim COULD point out the obvious. Fleshlights. Modern toys that Bruce could no doubt improve.
OR~ Tim could shoot his shot and go for glory.
......fuck it.
Witness Him.
Tim deliberately splays his legs. Sprawls, open and inviting. And muses, not looking at Bruce of course, if Bruce needs a Woman or just the right hole?
Bruce freezes. Because of course not. He's Bi AF, just REALLY want to fuck a... wait. Wait(tm). Bruce's brain starts punching out Options. Why Would Tim Ask That? He looks at Tim. His body language. Considers if he wants to ignore it or take this clear offer.
He's across the room and plucking the tablet from Tim's hands in a handful of strides. Naked. Now.
Young Bruce is the HORNIEST, NEEDIEST fuck you can imagine. Once you let him in? It's all over. You're gonna wake up to that morning wood pounding your puss. Spend breakfast, being his desert. As he eats you out. Humping your leg like a dog in heat. Gotta go to work? Well not before his good by fuckies! Needs to shoot his load nice and deep, so you know he loves you.
Visit you at the office. Finger fuck you at your desk. Worship your clit like he's trying to win a medal. When you finally can't concentrate any more? Pull you from your office chair and fuck you til you're a sloppy mess on the floor. Don't worry! He brought a plug so you won't mess the change of clothes he brought you! See you at lunch~!
And on and on and on. Because Bruce is physically in the horniest phase of his life, has his FULL Batman stamina, and? Realized almost IMMEDIATELY? Tim cuddles when he's well fucked and exhausted. And Bruce misses him.
So Bruce is gonna take advantage of the situation.
Can't drift away from me and go off to join some random hero team, if I'm the Best Dick Of Your Life. If your body craves me. You get so used to my constant fuckings, your day is incomplete without them~
Use my WORDS? Pshhhhh. No. I'm just going to use a seventy step plan to permanently tie Tim to me for life with my dick! Because I love him! This is a reasonable and well adjusted way for me to act, I'm gonna get such a good grade in Dad. Now if you'll excuse Bruce, he's gonna go fuck his son.
-🐼🐼🐼
!!! oh my god bruce getting deaged would be his worst nightmare ever- having to join 'new age' spritual things like something-yoga or eating some trendy new food because it aligns with his 'brucie' character- add that in to him not being able to fuck within any age group. his new '20 year old peers' are so incredibly immature and he can't fathom breaking his morality enough to fuck them and the older ones wont let him near them because THEY feel like creeps. so tim being the only logical choice left and bruce also being able to kill two birds with one stone by being able to 1. get off and 2. make sure tim stays close to him😭😭😭

Ooooo civilian!Bruce got me thinking about Jason,,, like how does his death go down here? Did he die in uniform and the others (at this point it would be just Dick and Barbra I think??) have to cover it up??? Did he only become a vigilante post-death?? He wouldn’t have as much (if any) angst with Bruce because Bruce is just A Guy here so does he stay away post coming back because he thinks he doesn’t belong anymore????? I’m just imagining the others dragging him back to the manor by the scruff of his neck because god dAMN IT JASON BRUCE AND ALFRED MISS YOU
(Also, you might already know this but: anon is off for your blog! I know from experience people are wayyyy more likely to send asks when it’s on)
so i already answered the first part of this ask earlier and @fanaticalthings made the most AMAZING addition that answers the second part <3 like literally took the ideas in my brain and wrote it out word for word for me thank YOU
jasons motivations are very different since he doesn't have a reason to blame bruce/batman for not avenging him, and instead during argument he has with bruce before he runs to ethiopia, jason says a lot of things he doesn't mean in the heat of the moment. he tells bruce he doesn't want him to be his dad, and that bruce didn't actually want him anyway. this is all wrong of course, but freshly resurrected and traumatized jason can't get over the fact that he yelled all those things at the man who did so much for him. had told his older brother he didn't want him either.
jaosn is so ashamed, so he stays away. he makes his debut as red hood in the narrows, and he almost breaks down when he sees nightwing again, but he goes on. he finds a crappy little apartment, does his dues, and watches over the waynes from afar.
but it's inevitable that dick and the tiny sherlock holmes replica tim drake find out who he is. and dick cries. a lot.
"baby brother, i'm so sorry. i'm sorry i wasn't there, i'm sorry, im sorry."
jason is a bit scornful towards tim at first, with the whole poster rich child replacement, but he warms up to him because tim is a good kid. hes curious and quiet but sharp and not afraid at all to sass jason as much as he respects him. they both try to drag jason right back to the manor because having their brother think he wasn't wanted, had been replaced, had been forgotten- that wasn't just untrue, it was fucking stupid.
but jason just isn't ready. he doesn't feel like he deserves to face alfred again, to face bruce again.
"please, just give me some more time. i need more time before- before."
and when could dick deny his little brother anything? so he stops being so adamant, but he sets a hard limit of two months, because
"bruce deserves to know, jay. he missed you so much, he misses you so much. there wasn't a day dad didn't think of you and wish you were here with us. come home soon, jay. please."

[Last time on Kyle Rayner's relationship with sexuality] and humanity we saw Kyle Rayner's teenage assistant/friend Terry Berg brutally injured in a gay bashing. He might never wake up. Kyle caught the people who did it. But he's not settled yet. So let's finish this
Green Lantern vol 3 #155 released in 2002
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This issue begins with John Stewart arriving after Kyle called him. And then Kyle leaves to go handle something.
Tumblr media
What Kyle was doing was begging Wally to go back in time and let him save Terry. Wally said no. Kyle freaks on him about them doing it for no other reason than him being gay. Then Bruce shows up and is all "we all want one day back"
Tumblr media
Kyle accuses Bruce of forgetting how to be a person. Because Bruce is comparing what I assume is Jason's death to Kyle about to lose his friend. But the context here isn't the same as Bruce losing a family member because the story here isn't About Terry in a narrative sense but about Kyle's perception of bigotry specifically in regards to sexuality in this case and how he feels about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So then Kyle goes into Space to punch rocks and Spectre Hal comes to meet him. And discusses with him what Kyle could have done the things he has done. And Kyle acknowledges how many people he's helped but he's really stuck on Terry's life as his failure. To which Spectre Hal is like bro stop punching rocks and go home good news awaits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Kyle is overjoyed about it. He sits down and speaks to Terry who has woken up but his memories are pretty hazy his skull was very damaged. Terry can't actually speak but write. And seeing Terry crying on the bed it just breaks Kyle in half
Tumblr media
"I can't help these people now. I don't want to. Earth will have to get by without me."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I know that there are millions of cultures out in the vastness of the universe that make the brutality we experience or propagate on Earth seem tame. But those cultures aren't my own. Maybe it's shame. Maybe it's anger. I can't tell you for sure."
And so Kyle writes a letter to John Stewart and leaves him a power ring to protect Earth with. Kyle abandons Earth because he couldn't handle the idea of protecting people who would do something like a gay bashing. That's so deeply personal. It is insane they have never elaborated on how Queer of a story this is. Not just in a bringing attention to gay rights but in an exploration of who Kyle is as a person.
When I read this story years ago I said yeah he cares a lot about Terry which is absolutely true Kyle adored that kid. But I compared it a lot to the 90s Hate Crime arc (yes there are two hate crime arcs) where it was about race and in that instance, Kyle could only be an observer as he worked with Connor Hawke who was actually facing racism but it was mainly about the larger context of racism and how rich people exploit it. This version of hate crime is so much more personal to Kyle himself. He decides he literally can't live on Earth where his people are so filled with hatred he just can't

I like the idea of the family reading y/n's old diaries when they're becoming yandere and finding she had some yandere tendencies herself.
Everything thing is fine and normal until y/n's entries start bringing up her boyfriend. How much she loves him and how perfect he is. They kinda brush it off thinking that this is just a teenage girl's first love. Her writing conveys how ecstatic she is by the mere thought of him. She was smitten.
Then they come across multiple pages that are ripped out. The following entry after all the missing pages are a bit worrying and as they keep reading it only gets worse.
’I know I could be considered a bit obsessive, but I can’t help it. I think I’m doing a good job at hiding my feelings because everyone is acting normal.'
’I think I’m getting worse. I can’t go a day without seeing him and I start feeling anxious when he’s not around. I almost started crying because I thought I lost him when shopping. Yes, I know it’s not normal, but I don’t care. He’s all I want and need.’
‘Okay, I have a problem. I actually thought of ways to put a girl in the hospital after she kept flirting with him. He wasn’t reciprocating, proving that he was loyal since she was much better-looking than me. Thought it was not like that’s an achievement, but that’s not the point. I actually thought of hurting someone even trying to justify it by saying that she deserved what she got.'
'I’m actually starting to fear my strong feelings. The thought of him leaving me brings me such emotional distress that I think it adds to the reason why I should bring this up with my therapist. This is not only unhealthy but could become dangerous if I don’t do anything.’
Barbara gains a whole new perspective on y/n's relationship with her boyfriend. Whenever he was brought up there was a brightness in y/n's eyes that made her overlook that dark twinkle. She has seen them together recently and they seem normal, so she wonders if y/n's obsessive nature has weakened. Getting her hands on y/n's newer diary will no doubt have more information about that.
Tim is trying to figure out who the hell her boyfriend is. The name written on multiple pages sounds familiar and later learns that they actually have had a lot of classes together. So while looking into him, Tim is at least satisfied that y/n's obsession isn't a dumbass or anything. He'll do in-depth research on her boyfriend and try to find every little thing about him. Judging him very harshly despite not meeting or even remembering him.
Bruce is a bit weary about this. Okay yeah, him trying to force his daughter back into their lives isn't an ethical thing. But he's worried about where this could lead further down the line if unsupervised. So maybe it's best that he keeps a closer eye on her just in case she does end up doing something. Doesn't believe that she'll end up harming anyone, it's more of an excuse to justify what he's doing.
Dick is surprised by this revelation. He was expecting teenage angst from her diary but got this instead. He's not complaining or anything, it's very insightful. With how much y/n hypes up her boyfriend he can't wait to meet him. He probably digitally scanned every single page of her diary and might use it against y/n at some point only if he has to of course.
Damian might be the least surprised. Okay, that's a lie, he wasn't expecting that. If the family was caught stalking or anything yandere-ish and she was telling them off. He might say, "But it's okay when you do it?" Other than that he doesn't care. As long y/n's significant other doesn't get in his way of getting closer to y/n, then fine. He'll live with this.
I feel like Jason would be the most shocked by this. y/n isn't a young adult to him. Every time he looks at her he just sees a little kid that can't read for shit. Not some obsessive girl chasing some nerd. Whenever y/n is around, he watches her closely trying to figure out what she's thinking. It's just bizarre knowing that y/n, the one who doesn't like punching villains too hard, has thought of hurting one of her classmates.
At the end of the day, they might not do much until y/n's boyfriend starts going insane. Some family members might enable it more than others. At the same time, others will use y/n's unhealthy love against her when she confronts their yandere behavior.
I don't know, just thought it was a fun idea.

I really tried to like this run, I really did. The seeds were planted in the Failsafe arc, then there was a tiny bit with the next arc (Red Death), and the way this one began.
Yeah…
This is just my preference, but I enjoy a comic book story if the writer clearly has a passion for all the characters involved.
When it comes to Batman?
I just ask if you're gonna use Cass. Use her wisely.
Don't use her as a "prop".
It's why I left Tom King's Batman run after Batman #81 because that's what Cass was in that run.
I came back to Batman because I truly did enjoy James Tynion IV's style in his Tec run. Yes, he played it safe but it was a FUN kind of safe.
Tumblr media
Even if they were cheesy, Tynion's Batman and later Joshua Williamson's runs were fun. So was Mariko Tamaki's Tec run. They treated the characters involved with respect and gave some standout Cass moments. They didn't seem like a "prop" and somehow always figured into the story.
Why I SOOOOO checked out hard when Future State: Gotham did this too (so much so I totally have forgotten who wrote the story). Cass wasn't a character in that (among others). She was just a prop to showcase how "far" Nightwing had gone.
Tumblr media
Now, this current Batman run by Chip Zdarsky has done this too. I really did give this run a fair chance. For his "Failsafe" arc the ideas were there but---
Tumblr media
There was never any follow-up. No payoff to the ideas introduced in the arc. Cass jobbed but it made sense. Because at the very least "Failsafe" was made to be counter to Bruce and the Family. But…
We got zero payoffs to Cass/Duke doing anything in the arc or anything out of Gotham being lorded over by a machine.
Compare this to what's going on in Detective Comics by Ram V.
Yes, Cass is a minor presence but the writer pays at least some payoff from plots that he introduces the character too. There's consistency.
Tumblr media
I see 0 consistency from Zdarsky from point A to B. Take today's #137 issue for example. We spent a setup with Cass getting zero motives as to why she (and Duke) are siding with the rest.
They just are.
0 characterization and 0 payoff from point A to B. What do we get for Cass in the issue? She jobs hard to Bruce. I just don't see any reason why as a fan of Cass I should care about this run?
I mean yeah, Zdarsky dangles the "happy" family in front of us in #136, and also tells us that bad things are coming for Bruce and the Family.
Buuuuuut… where's the characterization? The panel that tells us what Cass sees?
You could've easily had Cass in #136 just a mere two panels glance at Bruce and him back at her. Him knowing she knows something is wrong.
Nope. We don't get that. Just cute fun (we get that via Dick instead).
Tumblr media
It would bridge to her being against him in #137. If that was the case I probably wouldn't be angry over the issue. Cass doesn't feel like a character in the story, just a prop. And when a writer goes that route I CHECK OUT.
The other problem I've been having with this Zdarsky run is the "word play" as well. Dick, Tim, Jason, and Damian all get name-dropped as "sons" to Bruce. Note who isn't mentioned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND YET...
Tumblr media
But that is me just being picky and fandomy. But the other stuff I can't overlook. I will miss this run. I really REALLY love Jorge Jiménez's Cass. Like he understands the assignment ANY time he's asked.
Tumblr media
Just that, good art has to accompany a fun or thrilling story. We're getting none of that from my point of view. Maybe this changes in a few issues. Maybe it'll be longer.
I just can't read this comic any longer. It's not a read I enjoy. So until then bye Batman. It was fun.
Anyway. I said my peace. I just want to vent this out of my system. 🙏

Once Camilo gets more comfortable around Bruno, they decide to team prank the family. They do pretty good until Isabela and Mirabel team up to retaliate (and/or compete).
Camilo and Bruno use Bruno’s visions for ideas and to see where opportune prank moments will be (?). Of course they use Camilo’s shapeshifting. Maybe objects the Bruno keeps in his room. Maybe they swap sugar for salt?
Isa and Mirabel use plants and casita for ammo. They Also use various everyday items.
Thought maybe this could be taken out to the town, but that would get them in trouble with Abuela and others in the town. Or the teams could prank each other while they’re out.
There would be a point where they are told to knock it off.
At the end, the four of them are lying in Isa’s room or on the lawn thinking and talking about the day. Bruno’s soaks in the moment with his nephew and nieces.

I was remembering the scene where Katara yells at Sokka for being sexist. "Ever since Mom died, I've done all the work around camp while you've been off playing soldier!"
Sokka isn't playing soldier in the form of playing pretend or even entertaining delusions of grandeur.
Ever since their mom died, Sokka probably took his role as a tribal warrior more seriously, and much sooner than if there hadn't been a war.
During the raid that took their mom from them, Sokka made a choice to stay with the warriors. He watched the fight happen from behind a snow wall until he gathered up his courage to join. He thought his place was with the warriors to defend from the front with the homes, women, and children behind.
BUt when he finds out his mother was killed, he may have internalized it and wondered if he made the right choice.
"It's not a day I like to remember."
"I was so relieved when it was over... but I didn't realize that we had lost our mom."
Sokka is a warrior who is supposed to protect his family...and he failed to do that. As a son, he failed to protect his mother. As a warrior he failed to protect the sanctity and safety of his household. As a warrior, he failed to protect his chief's wife. Admitting that failure to himself hurts. It may make him doubt his ability to be the warrior and leader he is meant or called to be. If he can't protect the people he loves, he own family, the people most precious to him, who will trust him to protect their loved ones?
Which could be why Yue's death hits him so hard. He failed to protect his mother, and now the Northern Chief is entrusting the life and safety of his precious daughter to him. Even though Chief Arnook knew that his daughter could become the moon spirit, it's still another person that Sokka took into the deeper parts of his heart.
He failed to protect his mother, and now he's failed to protect someone he had deep feelings for. This is one of the reasons he tears up when he sees Yue's ascension in the Ember Island Players. It reminds him of his loss, but it also strikes like a lance at his insecurity and biggest regrets.
This has been said (I don't have the link for the post right now), that Suki telling Sokka that she "came to make sure [he] got through the serpent's pass safely" was a relief for Sokka to hear. He doesn't need to protect Suki the way he thought he had to, and he finally has someone looking out for him! His father and older warriors are away at war, so he's on his own. Even though Katara will defend her brother in battle, in Sokka's mind, she is his responsibility. Suki is in a similar position that Sokka is. A leader and warrior tasked with the duty to protect her village and the people she loves. She is a capable warrior who can protect herself but also those around her.
Sokka will protect Suki, come hell or high water, come Fire Nation soldiers or malignant spirits, but now, he has someone watching his back. Someone, an equal, who can help him protect the people he loves.

Got this idea while at work today. When the Steambabies are little, they go to the Southern Water Tribe with their parents and see the Otter-penguins. They imitate the way the penguins walk while on the ice. When they learn how the mommy and daddy penguins carry their babies it starts a phase of the kids grabbing on to their parents and calling them “Mama Penguin!” or “Papa Penguin!”. Meaning they want their parents to waddle a short distance while they hang onto their legs, or while they stand on their parent’s feet and hold onto their hands. The latter provides opportunities for Zuko and Katara to have a waddle race to see which team wins.

My #1 post of 2022
Post Reveal:
Twilight will sometimes come home exhausted and still insist that he’s fine. Anya and Yor eventually come up with Operation Pillow Fort and Operation Couch. (formerly Operation Knock Out)
Operation Pillow Fort is guide tired target to bed. Agent Anya guides target by the hand to bedroom while Agent Mama guides target from behind by his shoulders. Once target is on bed, Agent Anya plants herself on the mattress to watch the target. Maybe she has drawing supplies or a school book. Yor makes some calming tea and brings it in. Head rubs maybe needed for extra relaxation. Mission complete when target is relaxed, comfortable, and not insisting that he be busy.
Operation Couch is for when target is being stubborn. If pushing from behind and pulling forward doesn’t work, Agent Mama carries target to couch. Either over the shoulder or bridal style. Agent Mama sets target on couch, then Agent Anya places thin pillow on Target’s lower legs and sits on them. Agent Anya is is serious mode. Target tries to bribe her to get off. When cartoons and outings don’t work, he tries peanuts. Agent Mama hears bribery and reminds Agent Anya that a good sentry never leaves her post, no matter what treats she’s promised. Banter might ensue between target and Agent Anya until Agent Mama comes over with tea. Mission is considered complete when target relents to rest.
(Sometimes Agent Bond is asked to fetch things around the room to bring to target. Book, remote, etc. although target does comment that asking agent bond to fetch things could damage objects being brought over. So this only happens a handful of times.)

I really want DC to make a comic about Talia and Jason. Preferably taking place during the time of Pre- Lazarus Pit and Lost days.
As you know this is what happens:
She meets Jason and takes him in hoping to fix Jason for Bruce. He's getting better. But Ras thinks he isn't good enough and is sending him away. So She throws him in the pit to fix him as a last resort. She sends him on a training escapade so he doesn't kill Bruce.
During this we saw a connection between Jason and Talia. But we didn't get to see the development of that relationship and how it came to be. And we didn't get to see much of Jason's thoughts on Talia. Nor did we see much of Talia after the pit.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Here's my thoughts on how they could expand on it for Talia. * This is my interpretation of the events that occurred in canon. *
Talia - (Pre-Pit)She can start off not really caring about Jason as anything more than any opportunity to help Bruce. But with time she starts to see Jason as a person separatefrom Bruce. She sees him not as a gift for Bruce but as a person who needs help. And then from that to a boy she wants to protect. But then her Father comes in and tells her to get rid of him. She doesn't do that. She wants to fix him so she throws him in the pit.
-(Post-Pit) Now Jason has a conscious mind and bodily autonomy again. He is angry and he wants to hurt Bruce. She sends him to train. Not only because she doesn't want Bruce to be hurt but because she wants to give Jason time to heal and to direct his anger elsewhere. Eventually she starts connecting with him on a deeper level. They have talks and interact. She teaches him and with time Talia starts to see who Jason is. She sees that he is broken and needs healing so what does she do. She sends him to the All Caste so he can heal his mind. He decides to stay on his path to Get Bruce and be that change that Gotham needs. By now she sees Jason as a son. She loves him more so than she loves Bruce and is willing to help him on his plans in Gotham. Because by this point Bruce just doesn't matter to her as much.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Now my ideas on what should go on for Jason. *We didn't get as much thoughts from him but we did see that they formed a connection*
Jason - (Pre-Pit) Not much happening here. It's a big mess. He 'thinks' as much as it takes to survive. In his mind everything and everyone is represents danger. He must not let anyone near him because they will hurt him. But there is one thing , a person, someone he sees as safe. That person will not hurt him. (Reference Talia image where she slaps Jason but He doesn't attack her.)
- (Post- Pit) He doesn't understand Talia. He can't fully trust her. But when he's around her alone he unconsciously let's his guard down and relaxes on instinct. For some reason she feels safe. At first He knows she's distracting him with teachers so he doesn't attack Bruce. But then she goes out of her way to teach him herself to get to know him. He can't help but fall into that feeling of safety after a while. He realises she doesn't need to train him herself, to teach him thing to check that he's doing all right, to send him to the All Caste so he may heal his mind. But she does it anyway. This is someone who truly loves him for who he is now. Not the boy who died. And when he says he wants to go after Bruce and Gotham, she agrees. He realises he has a parent who will love him as he is.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
* Bonus they throw in a few scenes of Talia Calling him her child and Jason Calling her his mom.
Sorry this was kinda long. But I need a canon Jason-Talia comic that portrays the deep connection between them. And how they became family

Commissioner Gordon to the Rescue!
Tumblr media
Paris, Eiffel Tower, 4:34 AM
" Ladybug we can't keep this going! We need help! " a bee -striped heroine's voice is heard from a distance. Abeille .
" While that is true, who is going to help us? The justice league already called us a joke." someone says followed by a sharpening sound. Tatsu .
" Why don't don't we ask Batman? He's the most reasonable one" a calm voice reasons supporting his girlfriend's idea. Serpent .
" Yes, but how are we going to call Batman without ending up in asylum? Bailing ya outta there is hard work ya know?" the spotted armoured heroin asks. Ladybug.
" She's right guys" the quick witted fox hero chimes in. Reynard.
"Why don't we broadcast worldwide news that if Justice League doesn't show up in Paris within 24 hours we'll destroy the world" the usually quiet turtle cladded hero asks. Shellder.
"Yeah right! That way we'll have even more charges." Serpent says glaring at Shellder.
"Hey LB don't you know a police officer there? Afterall you are from there." Abeille asks the once street kid.
"Yes, Bug. You know the old guy. Maybe we can ask for his help." Tatsu asks her girlfriend.
"That's a nice idea. The Commissioner does have contact with Batman! Oooh then we might get to use the Bat Signal! Oh my Kwami, what if he doesn't recognise me?" Ladybug asks.
"He will recognise you Bug!" Shellder chimes in.
"The Bat Signal is real!" Reynard exclaims.
"That's out of the point. Don't get distracted!" Tatsu scolds.
"Ladybug, do you trust him enough to reveal your identity? Cause if you don't he won't believe you either." Serpent reasons.
"I guess. After all he saved my life multiple times." Ladybug answers unsurely.
"Ladybug there's no 'I guess' it's either Yes or No." Serpent says sternly.
"Then I do. I trust him." Ladybug answers firmly.
"Alright then, Yes it is." Abeille says.
"To Gotham we go!" and Reynard jumps off. Returns a minute later. "So, when exactly are we going and where?" he then asks.
"Now, Luks call Jagged and inform him. I'm sure he'll cover for us. Kalki if you may?" Ladybug asks.
"Of course Great guardian, but till Serpent finishes the call can you tell how and when have you been to Gotham?"
"Oh that, I was a street kid with my brother back then. We used to steal for a living. Jason took care of both of us. I was just three when we started living on the streets. Jay was eight. There were a few warehouses where all the street kids lived together. Commissioner Gordon came disguised as an old man and gave the kids blankets. He also anonymously left food for kids. When I figured out that was him I asked him why he didn't report us to the CPS. He answered Kid I know the CPS gives you Pipsqueaks shitty homes. Don't think about it. When I was seven I was kidnapped by Scarecrow. For testing some toxins. He threw me out saying I wasn't good enough. So somehow I found myself in Paris. Without my brother." Ladybug says with tears in her eyes.
"I called Dad and he said Okay because the Sandboy akuma was hard. Five hours particularly, all of your guardians think we're having a sleepover." Serpent says breaking everyone out of their stupor.
"LB, Can I use Kalki this time? Please?" Reynard asks.
"Fine, Here." She says giggling.
Gotham, Police station, 10:52 PM
Gordon POV
The shift is almost over yet I can't help but feel something interesting is about to happen.
Suddenly a blue portal appears. I take out my gun for defence.
"Woah, Woah no need for a gun. We come in peace." The one dressed like a fox answers.
"Who are you? Clarify your purpose!"
"We're heroes of Paris. We come to ask for your help." The one with a katana answers.
"Heroes? In Paris? Since when? I'd say it was a joke, But the portal proves it. Why wasn't the Justice league informed?"
"Slow down a bit, 3 years, Justice league laughed on us, to specify Green Lantern." Striped one? Answers.
"A...Alright, But how can I trust you, For all you could be joker's goons."
"You can trust us, If you don't, you know her you can trust us." The one with harp points to a spotted Ladybug?..
"Okaay, What're your names?"
"Official Introduction Time!" The flute one answers.
"The name's Reynard, Paris's Residential Fox Hero! Fox to meet you!"
"Or Nathaniel Kutzberg"
"The name's Abeille, Bow down Peasants!"
"AKA Chloe Bourgeois"
"I am Serpent, The most Responsible one."
"Or Luka Stone."
"I'm Shellder, Pleasure to meet you."
"Or Marc Anciel"
"Tatsu, Nice to meet you Commissioner, Kagami Trusugi"
"I... I'm Marinette Todd, Hi Commissioner"
"Dear Lord Mari is that really you? What do need my help for?"
"We need to come in Contact with the bats, And can you help me find my brother?"
"Sure Mari, But about your brother you see, He's a Bat too..."
"What?! Seriously?"
Bat Signal, Gotham, 11:13 PM
Red Hood's POV
"Alright we're here Gordon, What's the problem?" Big B asks in his Batman voice.
"We have visitors Batman, They're looking for you." Commiss says. Who in the world would look for Batman?
One by one Teens dressed as animals come out from dark. Drat everyone's just as confused as me.
"Alright who're you playing dress up? Ya know that's dangerous." I ask voicing everyone's curiosity. Suddenly a blue blob attaches to me and starts Giggling.
"Jay-Jay it's me" My eyes start to sting. Only one person calls me that.
"P-Pixie?" I ask unsurely. Pixie nods her head.
"Pixie-Pop it's really you!" I say once i register what's going on.
"I'm never leaving you again Squirt. You're alright! Remind me not to let you alone on streets again, Leave it to Mari for a recipe for trouble!" I tighten my hold on her.
"Hood who's this? Why are they all dressed up?" B. Yeah I forgot he was there as well.
"B, This is Marinette, my little sister. Although I do not know why she and those kids are dressed up."
"Allow me to explain, There's been a super villian in Paris for three years now. These kids are the Heroes there. They came to me First cause they didn't want to get arrested. Green Lantern called them a joke. I know you'd shoo them off, but Bats I saw a Portal open. They came through it. And Jason, Your sister's the team leader!" Gordon explains.
"What! That bitch let me at him! troubling my sister for no good !I, Jason Todd will Skin him"
"Hood! No names at the Field!" Demon Spawn says.
"Relax, She knows."
"Elaborate" B says.
Batcave, Gotham, 8:56 AM
"Gabriel Agreste is Hawkmoth!" Red robin exclaims.
"Ha! Take that Chat! I was right!" Ladybug says.
"Red robin can you do research on one Lila Rossi? She's probably working for him." Abeille says.
Batcave, Gotham, 11:12 AM
"Guys! Emergency meeting!" Red Robin Shouts.
"Lila Rossi wanted psycopath in 3 different countries!"
College Dupont, Paris, 11: 34 AM (Next Day)
"You bitch why did you file a fake report against Lila!" Alya barks out at Marinette.
"My daughter did no such thing." That wasn't Tom Dupain. There stood in all Glory Bruce Wayne himself.
"Yo-Your Daughter?" Alya asks
"Yes, my adoptive daughter, Jason todd-wayne's biological sister."
"Hey Alya don't shoot the messenger, I filed the evidence on behalf of ladybug and her team!"
"What do you mean? Multimouse isn't supposed to be active!" Agreste says.
"Oh, I didn't know that! I mean how do you think your miraculous was taken Chat Noir?"
Gasps were heard.
"It was you!"
"Yes. Now son of a bitch outta my way!"
"What do you mean?"
"Haven't you heard Gabriel Agreste was Hawkmoth."
Andre's Ice Cream, Paris, 12:13 PM
"Well that went better than we thought, right Babe?" Kagami asks her girlfriend.
"Sure did Gami!" Marinette repies.

So. In Death In The Family a possible scene is Jason fighting the joker while the gcpd closes in on them, and when joker is finally cornered, Jason reveals who he is, and the FIRST thing out of Jokers mouth is "One Bad Day", which, if you've been around here long enough, or just watched the killing joke, is this Jokers whole philosophy. He honestly believes one bad day us enough to drive anyone to his level of insanity. Now, while this scene makes it look like that WAS true for Jason (if he kills the joker, not so much if he spares him), I'd like to counter that.
Because in this scene, Jason is the red hood. Not hush, and not a Jason that lived while batman died. No, this is [mostly] honest to canon Red Hood Jason. And the thing about red hood, is that it wasn't even what joker did to him that pushed him over the edge. Was it the catalyst? Yes. But what made him finally commit to flipping his morals and be the antihero/antagonust we all know and love was the combination of his dip in the Lazarus pit, and the manipulation by the Al'ghuls he was subjected to.
It's canon that the Lazarus pits make you angry, fucj with your ability to think, and can make you very impulsive. When Jason came out of the pit, 16 and with his last memories being of crawling out of his own grave, the first thing that happened to him was Talia caring for him, and feeding him vitriol abiut batman the whole time. How he didn't go after joker, didn't avenge Jason, replaced him and dragged another child into his war (if you know anything about tim, you know this last one... isn't really true).
She feeds into Jason's pre-death ideas that some crime can't be caged, just killed, and feeds him the al'ghul philosophy of ruling by fear. Batman follows his own moral code for human, emotional, moral reasons. But Talia feeds Jason anger and practicality, and post-pit Jason obviously believes her because everything she said makes sense, and the "proof" she shows him is cultivated to feed her narrative. Of course she never tells him that batman went damn near feral after Jay died, of course she didn't tell him that he didn't want to take tim on as robin (she might not have even known that one, really) she wanted to shape Jason into something that would antagonize and hurt Bruce, and she did that.
In this scene, Jason doesn't even properly remember everything he did when he was first in Gotham, he's repressed most of it, it was A) horrifying B) traumatizing and C) still pretty lazarus-affected.
In this scene, Joker says "One bad day", and honestky believes he caused all this. That Jason's death and revival and the trauma THAT caused is what made Jason do this. The problem is this isn't true. If Jason had come back and been surrounded by family and people who hinestky wanted what's best for him, he would have been fine. In fact we SEE him be fine!
Thus movie has a version where Bruce dies in that warehouse instead of Jason, and when that happens, we see that Jason is honest to god on the path to recovery before he goes into that diner and meets joker in plainclothes. AND!!! If je escapes the cops immediately after that, yes, he becomes red robin and goes on a villian killing spree, but stops after the events with two face. Be it from shame and dropping the gig entirely, or from Tim showing faith in his ability to do the right thing and be the good, righteous person batman wanted him to be.
(If he doesn't escape the cops immediately, then he goes to prison, and then that's basically just a headstart, minus batmans existence, to a canon incident where he kills like 200 prisoners after getting convicted. In which, he eventually gets out (I think Nightwing helps him escape in exchange for help with something involving Jay's ex-partner? I'm unsure), and doesn't really kill on that scale ever again. I dont remember if this is prior to or after battle for the cowl, but I DO know that N52 happened shortly after and then he formed the outlaws. What is and is not canon between then and now is... up for debate, to say the least. Thing is though, by that point, he was trying to at least be amicable with his siblings, if not with B, amd he was toning down the fucked-up-ness of his methods. Still killing, still ruling by fear but like, not decapitation gang lieutenants in the street for fucks sake. Lazarus shit is begining to stop, and we see him finally begin to mature past what happened to him and who he was manipulated to be. The n52 happened and we started all the fuck over. But. Ya know. We're getting back there.)
Because of these paths we know for a FACT that it's not just the warehouse that drives Jason mad, and while crawling out of his own grave had to be fucjing terrifying, that's not really a "gonna kill all criminals" trauma that a "welp. Guess who's never sleeping in a dark room or putting themself in a small space ever again" type pf trauma. Point is, we KNOW that it's the events with Talia that make Jason snap (a cold, calculating kinda snap, but Snap he does).
And because of the Hush timeline, while its his hatred of joker that pushes him, it's also his own pride. He STILL thinks Bruce failed him. Still wants revenge on the joker, and its his PREVIOUS problems within the batfam that cause his discontent and wounded pride to fester. It's not so much what joker did, as it is what batman WONT do. Batman WONT kill criminals, he won't always gives them the "punushment" Jason thinks he deserves, and frankly, its not beyond ken to say that a Jason who grows up without the warehouse incident still grows up to have "looser" morals than batman.
Some therapy to address his childhood trauma might also bring forth a much, much more prevalent, and adult hatred of the kinds of monsters that made his childhood hell. Once he's grown, once he's far enough past it to truly comprehend and understand what he lived through, when he sees kids passing on the street, or babysitting his niece and nephew, and imagines someone hurting them or abandoning them, it would very likely make him angry all over again. A Jason who grows up and heals might also be a Jason that's angrier at the injustice in the world in general, that will see a kid starving on the street or getting mugged and snaps, killing the person doing the hurting and doing everything he can to make sure the kid is alright.
In fact, his teen years might already be evidence of that. There was an incident back in the 80's involving Jason and a domestic abuser, they were fighting, and the guy fell off a high rise balcony, and Jason made no move to save him. To this day, we don't know if the guy actually fell, or if Jason pushed him off. And frankly, it doesn't matter, because the point is that Jason didn't give a fuck the man was dead, even if it was kinda his fault (chasing the man to and fighting on the balcony).
While Bruce, quite vocally, believes ALL life is precious, even the lives of evil individuals, Jason decidedly doesn't, and even as early as thirteen or fourteen years old. Hes not shaken up about it the way Bruce would've been, and isn't even regretful of it like dick would have been (as robin or as nightwing, ie, the blockbuster incident). It happened, he believed the man got what he was due, and he moved on.
All of the information we have on Jason, both comics, movies, and alternative futures (death in the fam) show us that it's not Jason's "One Bad Day" with joker that leads him down that path, it's a series of underlying problems, beliefs, and situational unlucky bullshit that leads him down that path. In two out of three universes, he is clearly and obviously either A) redeemed or B) trying to be redeemed. And in hush, there's no guarantee that he actually follows through with raising damian to hate Bruce, its his initial goal, yeah, but there is every possibility that he mellows out with time, and just raises Dami as /slightly/ more vicious than he canonically is.
(And EVEN THEN! B would still like right after dames gets to gotham, dick still takes him in, and sunflower smile boi Dick Grayson is actually just, an amazing fucking dad to this boy and helps him heal. Like seriously, what kind of hate is Jay gonna spew abt nightwjng? That he's the golden boy? Yeah. Ok. But he also wants nothing to do with Bruce's rich person Wayne life so Damian doesn't really have a reason to hate him. And we have NO idea what happens with Tim drake in that universe so who tf knows what happens with that. Maybe he gets mad good with computer and apprentices under oracle when she find him, who knows? The WORST case scenario here is that Damian sees dick as a failure, and has his worldview changed as dick raises him. And sure, Jason could try to get Damian back, but there's no guarantee he could. Between Talia, the league, Dick, Alfred with his shotgun, and Damian being home-schooled, there's kot a great chance of Jason actually getting him back unless Damian actively tries to run away. Which. He didn't. He believes Batman is his birthright, he's not going anywhere).
The literal WORST case scenario (other than dying again) for Jason is joining the league of assasins, and that's really not like, THAT horrible. (If they were led by anyone other than Ra'as and stopped acting like an international court of owls, they might actually be ALLIES with the batfam. Just some food for thought).
Side-note, Jason becoming hush was also only indirectly caused by Jokers torture. We KNOW he heals fine from that. We know that post-death it's the manipulation that does him in, but in hush, do to the damage caused by the explosion, he has to lay in bed, barely even capable of speech, for months. Imagine being more angry then you've ever been in your life, and having absolutely no way to express that. Half the bones in your body are shattered, your entire body is bandaged, suspended, and hoked uo to gid knows how many different machines, and you can hardly even talk, because between the smoke inhalation, fractured skull, and facial burns that are gonna leave you permanently disfigured, moving your mouth and producing sound is torturous. Amd throughout that whole time, you're stewing in so much rage and betrayal and hurt that you could put your hand through every window in that manor and still not feel better.
Cause I've imagined that, and I'm pretty sure it would drive me crazy too.
It wasn't one bad day, it was 3 torturous months after a few months of continued and really, really bad familial strife. And yeah, I completely understand going a little homicidal after that. If my fam was a little worse and I was a little more crazy and a little less sad I probabky would too.
Hush timeline aside, Jason is the kind of person that sees evil and injustice and gets angry about it. Sure, batmans methods work for some, for criminals that can actually be reformed, but some people only commit crime for economic reasons, some people do it cause (in gotham) its easy, and some do it cause they're evil. We see in a few different things that mature, Lazarus-effect-free Jason only kills the last kind, and honestly tries to help the first. As for the second, batman's method DOES actually work on them. Batman is scared of how easy killing would be, but Jason, a few years down the line, kills to protect innocents. Not to "solve crime".
It's not "One Bad Day" that makes Jason insane in the 2, arguably temporarily 5 outta 6, timelines he is,, nor is it One Bad Day that makes him a killer in ANY timeline. Its his worldview, moral philosophies, and complicated, traumatic past that defined him as robin, and continue to define him into adulthood. The incident at the warehouse was just one domino in a line that started with Jason birth to a mother who didn't care and an abusive father, and ended with him as the red hood. The ONLY DC timeljne where Jason doesn't end up as some kind of antihero is the one where batman never picked him up off the streets, and he went to the clergy instead. This in mind, jts even arguable that kts BATMANS teachings that inevitably make Jason into the man he becomes. EVERYTHING in a person's life is situational,.and psychology is a lot more comolicated than people like to believe.
Without the warehouse, maybe Jason never grows up to kill, maybe he follows in dick's footsteps, capable and somewhat willing to kill but unwilling due to his morals. Or maybe he's more like tim, able and willing to kill, but deciding not to for batmans sake. Or maybe he actually grows sick at the idea of killing over time, the way dick did (unlikely) or maybe, like in the red robin timeline, he kills for a while after a catalyst incident, then pulls a "Ex-League Kid" like cass and dami and stops, ashamed or even horrified at his past actions and unwilling to return to those ways.
Maybe he becomes the red hood anyway, because he never quite agreed with batmans "no killing EVER" rule; because joker needed to be stopped. Or black mask. Or hush. Or fuck, maybe he sees what blockbuster is doing to his brother in bludhaven and decides to step in, even without his family ever knowing it was him. Maybe he sees a far too young kid getting beaten or kidnapped on the street and steps in the way he'd wished for someone to when that kid had been him.
Maybe he does something completely different, maybe even moves on with his life when he goes to college.
While there's no way of knowing for sure, all of these are plausible speculations because of who he was as robin. Not because of a catalyst incident, not because of One Bad Day, as Joker puts it but because Jason Todd is a complex individual in an altogether hopeful but shitty situation who needs time to learn and grow and mature into who he is going to become, and a bunch of people attempting to brutally steal that right and independence from him before he's even 16 is fucking horrible for his mental health.
I think an unfortunate amount of people see Jason as proof of Jokers One Bad Day philosophy, and I think they see him as proof, while character like batman and Gordon, who are arguably literary paragons, as exceptions. The problem is, they're not exceptions. They're the rule. And while the killing joke is the most obvious in-universe example of it, just about every Joker movie including the batkids is, more subtly, also proof, ieJason is a complex individual, even after weeks of torture Tim killed Joker instead of Bruce, then retired from vigilantism to heal. Even the comics Dick ALSO kills Joker on his "Bad Day", but still heals and moves on after the fact.
Not to mention, gotham blows up on the weekly, do you KNOW how many citizens have One Bad Day every goddamned week? If Jokers philosophy was true, we'd see gotham completely overrun and inundated with criminally insane villians and mobsters. But that's not the case. Yes, gotham has far more crime then most, but thats canonically a socioeconomic and corruption problem. Beyond that, yes, far more of their rogues are criminally insane than in say, central city, but other than Joker, most of these rogues have long, complicated, traumatic reasons why they're like that.
No one else excuses their actions with "one bad day". It's JUST the joker, and even then, it's just ONE version of the Joker. Mobster Joker is just a sadist, and harmless hat tricks Joker (silver age) is just... The ridler but a clown instead, and certainly not as clever (sorry not sorry. Clever is different from smart Bite Me).
(Also... this is me refusing to accept Three Jokers answer that silver age Joker killed Jason. Firstly, his death didn't happen in the silver age. Secondly, luring a boy to a warehouse just to beat him to the brink of death, then let him think escape was possible before blowing him up isn't silver age jokers MO. Sikver Joker loved the spectacle, the ridiculous. He might tell a joke, but it was almost never a joke that would ever be funny (and like, killing jokes end joke was actually kinda hillarious. I'd laugh if it wasn't Joker who told it) it was something dumb that would make the rest of the world mildly uncomfortable while he laughed at it, well, like a clown. The actions of the Joker Joker killed Jason are very, very much in line with bronze age Joker, who im gonna call the manipulater. While it's kinda in line with mobster joker, this isn't done just to hurt Jason physically, and it's not just to scare him, it's to mess him up emotionally. Joker fucks with Jason's psyche in that warehouse, his uses his birth mom to get to him, taunts him, makes a show out of thinking the whole thing is hillarious, and compares Jay to dick the whole time. He's not just hurting Jason for the sake of hurting him, he's doing this to scar the kid emotionally. He wants it to be so that even if Jason survives, he's mentally scared for the rest of his life. THAT is bronze Era Joker in my book. Plus, silver jokers idea of spectacle is in the hurting, in the trap, the plan, while bronze Joker ALSO likes that, he's also A-okay with the whole of the spectacle just being a big ol boom. Silver Joker would have his head for that kinda lackluster performance)
Hell, do you know how many serial killers and suoervillians we'd have in the REAL world of jokers philosophy was correct? I'm from a family of social workers and let me tell you: far, FAR more than even batman could deal with. Humans have quite the capacity for cruelty when they so desire, and the world is kinda a shit place to a lot of people. But instead of being overrun by prohibition style mobs and tacky OR terrifying supervilkians, theres just a lot of us highly traumatized individuals out here constantly seeking to make this world better. We can't change what happened to us but we can damned well try and make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else, ever again.
Sure, we don't have any masked vigilantes running around (for the most part), but there's still heroes in the real world. Crash victims who go on to be doctors. People who grew up in foster care and struggled, and now that they're settled will foster to help give the next generation a better chance. Ex-addicts becoming social workers. Domestic abuse victims volunteering to help victims escape. Delressed kids becoming therapists. Any kind of civil servant, first responder, or reform worker who does what they do to help others, all of them are living proof that Joker's idea of One Bad Day is utter Bullshit.
The movies do their job and point this out, the comics... mostly show this. The DCAU just about always shows this head on. But way, WAY too many people missed the point for me to feel comfortable, and besides that I enjoy literary analysis.

Batman/P5 Crossover
-Sometime before Akechi but after Futaba or Haru
-Damian is sent to Tokyo to check it out for whatever reason (maybe they had a fight, or he’s going stir crazy, or he’s just the only one they can send at the time and didn't bother with all that "you're not old enough" business)
-Dami is younger than Futaba by a year or three or four
-He is baby
-He is transferred to Shujin as a child prodigy where he also immediately joins the "outcast" community because of his attitude and intelligence
-Talia goes too, manages to cut off all his communications with the Batfam, and is planning to take him home in a month whether he likes it or not
-For whatever reason, Batfam doesn't realize this??? (Like, either she's faking reports or they're too busy (think fight or chaos in Gotham scenario maybe???))
-Anyways, obviously Dami doesn't want this
-Somehow the Phantom Thieves hear about the situation
-Maybe he was assigned to shadow Makoto for a while, and they managed to overhear a phone conversation either to Talia or Dami trying to get in touch with the Batfam and nothing really working
-And eventually they outright see him fighting with his mother with him at some point (either in person or over a phone call) mentioning that she already disowned him, he's happy with his Father's family, and that he will head her family business over his dead body—and oh would you look at that, you already managed that, care to try again Mother?
-The PT's are understandably alarmed
-And learn her name from Damian (from Makoto maybe or someone else he bonded a little with) (MORGANA) (THEY GAVE HIM MONA FOR A DAY AND NOW THEY KNOW EVERYTHING FROM HIS MANY PETS TO HIS LEAST TO MOST FAVORITE SIBLINGS STARTING FROM TIM TO DICK TO HIS FAVORITE FOODS TO EVERYONE IN HIS FAMILY’S NAMES TO HOW STUPID HE FINDS EVERYONE AND WHY THEY'RE STUPID TO HIS FAVORITE MUSIC TO WHY ANIMALS ARE SUPERIOR TO HUMANS AND MONA’S LIKE OMG TMI BUT LOVED IT THERE BECAUSE HE WAS PAMPERED LIKE NO TOMORROW GOT ONLY THE BEST FOOD AND THE BEST BEDS AND TOYS THAT HE GOT TO TAKE WITH HIM BACK TO LEBLANC AND NOW AKIRA AND SOJIRO ARE LIKE DUDE WHY AND MONA’S LIKE IM KEEPING HIM THIS HUMAN IS GOOD SORRY AKIRA YOU’RE DEMOTED)
-The palace is basically a fortress full of assasin ninjas and clones
-Dunno what her keywords are tho
-Or her what her palace actually is
-Help?????????
-Cognitive Bruce, Ra's, Damian, Dami clones, and Jason (maybe rest of batfam??? Idk)
-Long story short, the traps are so assassin-y that they need someone who knows the actual Talia because egads, this is the closest they have all come to actually dying
-And they didn't really want to do it and were just gonna power through
-But Dami manages to find out and get in and of course uses his background to help out whether they like it or not
(-he's slightly off put by Joker's name, but then decides to just solely call Gotham!Joker "The Clown")
-At some point they are captured by the Shadow Talia who is decked out in super fancy traditional Arab clothing and probably every conceivable hidden weapon known to man
-Talia says Damian won't and can't ever change from who he "is meant to be", referring to him as her Alexander and basically brutally addresses all of his insecurities concerning the batfam and people and society in general
-And all this is kinda killing him cause he still loves Talia despite the fact that she killed him and had a violent citywide custody battle with Batman but he also loves the batfam too even if he would absolutely never admit it (except to maybe Grayson)
-Joker does his emotional kick-start thing and/or Dami is like Makoto and just gets so mad he triggers it himself, but either way, lo and behold, Damian is now a persona user, usurping Futaba's place as the baby of the team
-The outfit is kinda inspired by his future adult league outfit with the top and bottom and gold jewelry, but has a raggedy cloak with dull gold edges, a Robin mask and gauntlets, and his main weapons are batarang-sword hybrids
---acknowledging his past and moving on with his present
-Persona: Aladdin, Tsun Zu, Ali Baba, somone else???? Need ideas plz help
-Probably the fastest member of the group
-His small body makes his hits not as strong, but hoo boy can that kid move around
-Hits a lot and dodges most
-Most of his Persona abilities are physical and have high crit and/or are status affects
-Downside is he has not a lot of SP (compared to the rest of the group)
-And he has pretty good HP
-Those good ol' “superior genetics” have to be good for something after all
-Anyways they escape to find the treasure another day
-And Dami is all smug because HA you definitely can't stop me now
-And the PTs are just resigned to keeping an eye on the extremely competent snotty assassin/vigilante child
-They do like him though so it's not too bad (comes with learning all his darkest secrets via his mother and thought processes that tends to accompany watching someone at their lowest get a persona)
(-They do manage to temper him a bit and help him adjust better to actual society too that's nice)
-As such, they also know about Batman and Robin and his whoooole family. Both sides.
-Damian decided not to tell batfam because he does agree with the whole "most adults suck" mentality that the Phantom Thieves have; despite his deep, deep respect for his father and mother and Grayson, they all do kinda suck
-And he’s rather not get pulled out as he surely would if he told them
(-On a side note, he likes Sojiro
-The man gives him coffee, curry, and leaves him mostly to his own devices
-Instant win)
-He is dubbed "Mockingbird" apon return to the metaverse because of his freaky talented vocal skills in mimicking anyone and everyone's voice
-Eventually, they beat Talia
-She doesn't publicly confess to all her sins unlike everyone else
-PTs don't realize it worked until Damian came into school with a genuine smile on his face, and more relaxed than he'd been since he got there
-PTs are confused until Damian's like, this works out because hey, don't want to have several people assassinated and draw the entire freaking league to Tokyo
(-Which was probably why Talia didn't)
-They agree
-But she does break down to tears in Dami's arms and promise to ACTUALLY TALK CIVILLY with Bruce to try and make up for everything and try to fix up the league
-He stays for the rest of p5
-But steers all his reports very much away from the Phantom Thieves
-If anything, he downplays absolutely everything, and makes it seem like it's nothing super big but he's gonna stay a while to keep and eye out because y'alls are busy and I like it here and I haven't gotten expelled so there
-The PTs like to add funny stuff on there just to see if they’ll notice
-Like, Akira likes to have Dami describe his day in excruciating detail. Like, recounting the entirety of his nine or so months to Sae during police interrogation, excruciating
-Mona is pushing for the shiny stuff
-Yusuke just likes to put in bursts of randomness (Dami once mentioned that an acquaintance made another acquaintance T-pose in a church for art lol)
-Ann loves to rant about food
-Haru is always insisting on about feelings
-Ryuji likes to complain about everything and puts in ridiculous requests
-Futaba is just putting in every gen-z thing ever
-Makoto is actually responsible and tries to get him to talk about his progress in school and his social life
-And Akechi is absolutely nowhere near any of this and doesn’t know it exists
-When they have the Tokyo/Japan-wide calling card, Batfam sees it too because let's face it, that's totally the sorta thing that they would keep an eye out for even if he didn't look at the news in the entirety of the time Dami was in Tokyo
-And they send a message to Damian (the first actual communication they've had since before Talia) saying "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON OVER THERE????"
-And with the entirety of the Phantom Thieves looking over his shoulder, Damian's just like "Chill dudes, everything's fiiiiiiiiiine"
-And they're like "UH WHAT PART OF THIS IS FINE????" because they've dug around a bit and found every news report, and oh hey, this isn't anywhere near as calm as Damian described and he’s being super OOC and what’s going on?!?!?!?!?!
-And Damian, being egged on by the most of the PTs, just sends a winky face
-Just
-😉
-And he's smug, because it's still chaos over there so they can't actually come get him and try to pull him out because he's being super ooc
-Which means he's free to do what he wants/needs in the meantime
-Cue the end of the game
-And Dami is going with them on their summer road trip and cackling because the batfam is scrambling to find him in Tokyo but lol nope he's in a van the Japanese government tried and fail to follow
-And he found all the trackers like, a year ago
-Every
-Single
-One
-They eventually track him down to Akira's house where they're calmly eating dinner (and they've been expecting this for the past week so Mona was keeping watch just so they could pull this off) and talking about how uneventful the school year was
-Cue mass confusion in the batfam
-As the PTs enjoy just confusing them so much
-By talking to Mona
-Talking normal then crazy then normal again
-And just generally being their normal selves lol
-They explain absolutely nothing beyond gushing about how much progress socially and academically he’s made (gotta embarrass the baby of the group somehow) and making sure that if Dami absolutely has to go home that he's able to stay in touch
(-Later, Damian forms his own hero persona outside of Batman and Robin)
(-He names it Mockingbird)
(-Batfam proceeds to have a brain aneurysm while the PTs dab their happy proud tears out of their eyes on their regularly scheduled tea time at the Wayne Manor)
(-Damian sends a private plane every week or two lol)

Tim shifts universes one day from canon to one where he is completely Bruce’s wife. One day , he was the weird neighbor pseudo son and the next, he wakes up in lingerie feeling lethargic and weirdly *sticky* . Gets dressed in the most normal things in what seems to be a shared closet with Bruce (a sleek top and dress pants). Walks down to breakfast to see his two neglectful older brothers-turned-adopted children waiting for him. They call him mommy, beg for his attention with school work, and fight to sit next to him (never mind that he has two sides). He is going along with this, very confused, when Bruce Wayne comes down to breakfast and kisses the daylight out of him.
Basically, overnight, Tim turns into the young wife the husband can’t keep himself off of (or not in!) bonus points if he wakes up pregnant with what will essentially be Damian
!!!!!!! oh canon tim would be thrown for an absolute whirlwind!!!!!! his brain would make the same sound as a printer that gets a paper jam, runs out of in, and is low on toner all in one. the screeching, halting, random beeping, and just and overall inability to process anything at once.
he doesn't freak out. he reigns control of himself in enough to not freak out because there's a baby dick and a baby jason pouting and making grossed out faces as bruce's lips smile against him and kiss him deeper.
tim doesn't want to scare his baby (older?) brothers who are somehow around the same age and he also doesn't want tip this bruce off (whose body isn't as...rigid and hard as tim's bruce. there's still muscles and power in his form but it's...softer.)
tim knows what hallucinations feels like, he can identify dreamscapes, simulations always have flaws in them, and his brain is good enough to be able to recall exactly how bruce looks like before he's had his morning shave.
jason and dick squeal and whine as bruce pats them both on their head and nuzzles their rosy cheeks, purposefully scraping his stubble against their skin.
tim is the best undercover actor among the bats, there's a reason he gets put in charge of most of the operations reguarding information gathering.
so its easy for tim to take cues from the conversation around him and the way everyone is acting even if its giving him whiplash to interact with such...friendly versions of his family.
tim manages to establish several things.
this baby dick and jay both view him in some kind of maternal light. they were both adopted when they were toddlers, bruce and tim are the only parents they've ever known.
bruce and tim are married and tim isn't just their neighbor that's banging their dad and eating breakfast with them.
tim is a housewife and bruce is a...trauma surgeon?
tim muffles the surprise down at that revelation. bruce...a surgeon. a doctor. tim's brain can't comprehend the idea of there being a world where bruce isn't batman.
a world....where bruce isn't batman.
tim manages to catch himself before he freezes while chewing on a bit of toast and eggs.
a world where bruce isn't batman. tim knows this isn't a hallucination, a constructed world, a dream, or some kind of advanced simulation. he's been trained to spot all the tells and as far as he can tell his surroundings are either really good fakes or they're...real.
and tim knows that no matter his secret...yearnings- even he isn't creative enough to come up with a world like this.
which leaves him with one other option.
that this isn't his world.
tim knows alternate universes exist. he knows they're dangerous and he knows that should he ever come into contact with one he was to report it to the closest justice league member.
tim tries. after breakfast. after he shoos bruce off to work and receives a million kisses in return for making bruce a thermos of coffee 'just how he likes' which was really a coffee made just how tim likes.
(tim finds it's not hard to fake the kisses he presses back to bruce, his body almost melting into the strong hands gripping his hips- tim chooses to not explore what that might mean.)
baby dick and baby jason are distracted by cartoons while tim puts on his detective hat and starts digging through bruce's office.
the grandfather clock in his office is just a normal clock. no secret entrance. no secret entrance means no cave and no batman.
bruce's desk is meticulously organized...organized in the way that tim has his desk organized. there's a daily planner and schedule on a big calendar with tim's handwriting. tim finds a little book plotting out activities, meals, appointments, and events as far as 3 months into the future.
nice to know that tim's anal retentiveness transcends universes.
tim also finds a laptop with a sticky note of what the password is.
'brucentim4evr'
it'd be embarrassing if it weren't so... sweet.
several searches bring up...nothing. nothing that will help tim.
hal jordan is a commercial pilot for a major airline. his photo is posted on the website. there's grey coloring his temples and no stress lines on his forehead. he's smiling.
clark kent is a high school science teacher in smallville. there's a small article in the town newspaper about the winner of his annual soda bottle rocket contest. the winner got a homemade pie prepared by his blue ribbon-state fair winning mother. tim scours clark a little more and finds his birth certificate, medical records which contain his vaccination dates, and the diagnosis of his diabetes from when he was four.
diana prince is nowhere on the internet until tim starts checking other years and finds a death certificate for 1988. her great great grandaughter was just born in a hospital in mykonos. 11 lbs 3 oz. "a nice, strong girl' according to diana's granddaughter's facebook post.
tim's eyes linger on the picture of a pinched little face curled close to her mother's chest. his eyes water with emotion for some reason.
barry allen is an anchorman for a local news station in central city and is famously married to his co-anchor.
arthur curry does not exist. thomas curry died of liver failure while in hospice. he never had a son. only a daughter that works as a real estate agent.
j'onn j'onzz similarly does not exist. the only thing about martians tim can find is about conspiracy theories and a cartoon character named 'marvin the martian' that tim can't help but think j'onn would find amusing.
tim had hoped he would find some information that would help get home. but without the bat cave and without the justice league he's...stranded.
with some reluctance tim tries looking into his only other options.
lex luthor is a scientist but not the gene-manipulating, fusion reactor building kind that tim is used to. he's an environmental scientist and currently in Antarctica with a team of researchers studying rising sea levels and ice caps.
tim finds nothing on ra's. knowing that wonderwoman was dead in this universe certainly didn't instill confidence. but tim is only certain he will find nothing when he uses google earth to see that nanda parbat is now bulldozed over with an urban city built on top.
other technologically inclined villains yield similar results.
they're all either dead or...living surprisingly mundane and average lives.
tim's investigation yields him few results. it doesn't leave him with any kind of certainty or hope and it definitely doesn't lend him any answers.
tim knows he had not been messing with universe shifting technology.
given the way he awoke in this universe he knows this tim had not been either.
tim...with the resources he has on hand, cannot fix the problem he's in himself. there is just no way for him to be able to get in contact with his universe because the more he looks, the more it seems that the technology to do so does not exist.
and even if it did....
tim's a mother. he's a wife. he has duties and obligations that he can't just abandon without arousing suspicion. and he can't up and disappear without anyone noticing either.
maybe in his world he could. or any kind of world with a batman.
but tim is in the kind of world where he...matters to his family.
and this family. this picturesque mommy and daddy with their two sons family. they have nothing to do with this universe displacement that has affected them and tim shouldn't be causing them undue pain because that's what will happen if he goes and tell them he's not their mom or their wife.
they'd be worried sick about their real mommy and real wife, asking questions tim can't answer.
tim's survival training is telling him one thing. and it's to stay put. if you're in a snowstorm, stranded in the middle of the ocean, or floating unattached in space- stay put. the worst thing you could do is pick a direction and start marching when, for all you know, you could be getting more lost.
tim needs to stay put.
stay put and wait.
it could be just one of those things that fixes itself.
if he's lucky it's a one to one switch and currently there's a housewife and mother tim that's waking up confused and concerned about why his children are older than him and why his husband dresses like a bat.
tim knows he and his family have been going through a bit of a rough patch but he hopes they'll have enough sense to not threaten or frighten other tim and just put forth all their efforts to getting the right tim back.
tim's pretty sure bruce would be upset enough at losing one of his best soldiers to throw all he can at getting tim back.
he hopes.
---
i imagine that tim plays mom and wife for several weeks and is surprised at how good he is at it and how much he likes it. it's awkward at first coming to terms with the fact that he's now jason and dick's mom.
tim chooses to ignore how he's fucking bruce on a nightly basis now and how he should probably feel some kind of way about it. but tim doesn't mind having to sleep with bruce (he's run honeypots behind batman's back since he was 14).
bruce is concerned about tim because he can sense something off about his darling wife but he trusts that tim will come to him when he wants to confide.
he thinks he gets his answer a few weeks later when tim accidentally reveals he's pregnant thinking this bruce already knows. tim went digging through more of this tim's things and found the pregnancy test and a small list of girl and boy baby names. this tim is hoping for a girl but tim spots the name 'damian' at the top of the list and just...knows.
somehow the hardest part of being in the universe is having the realization that he's carrying his own younger brother with whom he's never gotten along. despite that, a wave of emotion floods tim when he finds that little list.
bruce is ecstatic to find out tim is pregnant. jason and dick are excited to find out they'll be big brothers.
meanwhile other tim is mothering the stuffing out of tim's family. they figured it out pretty quickly when the hospital called the manor and told them that tim was there with a suspected psychotic break.
they go because that phone call didn't bode well and last they heard tim was in his apartment in the city. they arrive to the hospital and find tim chatting with nurses and doctors, talking to them like he knows them.
they're informed that tim arrived frazzled and concerned looking for his husband. the nurses were able to calm him down and he started speaking to a few of them having seemingly recognized them.
tim lights up at the sight of bruce but his expression drops just as quickly when he spots dick.
tim goes through a breakdown in the car and by the time they arrive they know that they're dealing with a tim from an alternate universe but one...inhabiting his body which makes things....difficult.
tim is comforted by alfred who he latches onto and they choose to ignore tim's words muffled into his coat about how he's missed alfred and hoped he was enjoying his retirement.
this tim is frightened by them and weary. it's several days before he goes near them. surprisingly he clings to damian.
bruce stumbles across the sight of tim kneeling beside damian, desperatly trying to get his attention while damian ignores him. tim bribes him with cookies, hot chocolates, and interested noises about the books, shows, and video games he's playing.
by the end of the week damian has gone from hostile, to indifferent, to sitting at the island counter in the kitchen and quietly watching while not-tim helped alfred with cooking.
not-tim has been around for only a week but he's swiftly won alfred over with his homemaking skills.
this tim is not shy about making his affections known and about telling them about what his world is like.
bruce has to sit quietly in his office for several hours when he learns of his life in that other universe. he never like interdimensional cases for a reason.
both jason and dick learn that tim isn't unnerved by them because he's afraid but because he's shocked to see his previously elementary-aged children...older than him.
but a few days later and he takes it in stride, apparently falling back into normal motherly scolding.
both dick and jason try to desperatly hide how much they like when tim smiles at them so sweetly and stands on his toes to pink their cheeks or tug on their ears with a scold on his lips.
in the span of a few days jason learns that he has a several new favorite breakfast food, likes wearing ironed socks, and that he hates black olives in every universe.
dick learns that he's mildly lactose intolerant (and that he loves brown sugar oat milk), that the name of that one pastry he had in france but could never find the name of is a gâteau basque, and that he likes having someone call him 'dickie' in that loving way that goosebumps pop along his back and neck.
bruce learns that tim loves him. that this tim loves him and considers bruce his husband in every universe. bruce learns that he is a weak man and when given temptation he gives in. bruce learns he likes the soft sounds tim makes when he bends him in half and pounds into his cunt with a ferocity that would have anyone tapping out. he learns he likes the looks of tim's pink, full lips as they wrap around his cock and suck until he reaches the root of his cock. he learns that tim's tits are the prettiest he's ever seen and fit perfectly in his mouth. he learns that he loves sex more than he ever thought he did. he learns that he can fall asleep right after and that no nightmares will follow him.
he learns that sometimes a new injury will keep his teetering on the edge of unconsciousness with the flashes of pain that will ripp through him.
he learns this tim misses his husband and his babies. he leans he cries for them every night with shaking sobs that are so quiet he can barely hear them as he curls on the pillow beside bruce when he thinks he's asleep.
he learns that even though this tim will love him and his family.
it is not their love to take.
the next day bruce calls in numerous favors.
by the end of the week they have their tim back.
it's their tim.
their tim who is tensed and awkward and hesitant around them.
but he's also a tim who will hand damian a little bag of chocolate-covered almonds out of nowhere.
who will instinctively bake a french custardy cake for dick when he has a hard day.
who will lean over a couch and kiss jason's forehead seemingly without thinking.
and who will enter bruce's room at night, stumble to a stop at the sight of him and then duck back out.
it's their tim.
but a tim who has been...softened. who talks sweeter and who floats around them with a quiet and watchful sort of care.
it's their tim.
their tim.
