Summary: when a young detective takes an interest in a young journalist from another world
~***~
He always had his eyes on you well he has his eyes on everyone and everything around him. When the Traveler, Aether came to Inazuma, Heizou found himself interested with you, Aether’s companion. He noticed how strange you were from your clothing to the brown leather cover of your journal that you carried around everywhere you went. Sure, Aether was strange too, him being an outsider like you but you were little bit more interesting to Heizou.
It was a clear afternoon in Inazuma City and Heizou noticed you, alone with the blonde traveler by your side. You were sitting on a bench with your leather covered notebook open, pen in hand scribbling down something. It intrigued him, he wanted to know what you could be writing in there.
He grinned as he made his way over to you, his fingers underneath his chin as he watched you write.
“Hello there.” He said.
You jumped a bit, startled by Heizou’s sudden appearance next to you. “H-Hi.” You stuttered out quickly.
“Pardon me, I didn’t mean to startle you, I just noticed you here alone without your blonde companion of yours.” He said.
“Blonde companion,” You said tilting her head to the side. “Oh you mean Aether?” You asked.
“That I do. He’s quite interesting though I have to say you are the one who piqued my curiosity the most. You’re just as strange as the Traveler.” Heizou said with a grin.
“Strange? Me? How come?” You asked.
“Well, I don’t mean it in a bad way, I assure you,” Heizou said. “I just can’t help but notice the way you dress as well as the notebook you carry. So do tell, what’s it for?” He asked.
“Oh, my notebook. It’s just a journal really. Not much to it. Is it really that strange?” You asked.
“You’re always writing something down in there. Worried you’d forget something?” Heizou asked throwing in a slight joke in his words. His smile held a lot of intense interest as his eyes shifted from the notebook then to you.
You tilt your head to the side. “Not necessarily… I just like writing things down. Anything interesting or new I’m experiencing or looking at and I… I mean I’m from another world I never experienced anything like this before,” You said. “Just writing things down, sure out of habit it just makes me feel happy.”
Heizou smiles as he nods at your explanation. “So, what you’re saying is it’s just something you like doing,” He said. “Well, there’s certainly nothing wrong with that. Just never met anyone who does such a thing. Though I guess what you said is true. You are an outlander like the Traveler yet you’re so different from others as well as one another.”
“I assume you find that interesting, don’t you.” You said.
“Right you are,” Heizou said. “I’m quite intrigued by you. So do tell, why write?” He asked.
“I’m a journalist in my world, I write stories about the world around us. From politics to new opens of stores. People with interesting lives are my favorite.” You said.
Heizou laughed at her enthusiasm. “I see. Well, you might make new friends in Fontaine if you ever make it there. I heard Fontaine has many journalists there.” He said.
“Really? I guess being a journalist isn’t a rare thing. I’ll keep that in mind.” You said.
“Excellent! Now then, I should be off, got commissions to attend to and cases to crack. I hope to see you again soon, Miss Journalist.” Heizou said bidding his goodbye to you as he walks off into the city.
“What a strange guy…” You said as you go back to the journal yet you smiled at the thought of seeing him again.

Unhinged moment of weakness, but I am craving an Astarion x reader fic in which Astarion recognizes the player beyond the screen—
Whether he thinks they’re disgusting. Pouring over long hours on the game in the attempts to romance him, or thinks they’re amusing. Their diligence in the pursuit of the story and him, honestly, always an entertaining pastime.
All he wants is to meet you. The you that governs this caricature of who you truly are. The you that curses under their breath every time the dice roll deals you a bad hand. The you that looks forward to greeting him after a long and tiring day of higher education or work…
He will do anything to bring you to him. To ensure that another day will not come where he is faced with the Tav that can only be a diluted version of yourself.
Edit: On another note, wouldn’t it be fun if the reader was just the tiniest bit unconventionally attractive?
Sure, they’re not ugly but in comparison to their character, the beloved “leader” of their little party that they’ve prettied up for their own comfort, their eyes are ringed with darkness due to long nights spent on the game and doing art.
Skin, more dull as their only form of self care is through the escapism role playing gives them.
And hair all matted or frizzy as they believe no one will witness their unsightly appearance in the odd hours of dusk.
Yet Astarion does. And he is more confused about his feelings for you more than ever. He admits to himself that, surely, he could be interested in someone far more beautiful. Like your character. Gods, there are people far more beautiful than Tav anyway. And yet, it’s you. It’s you that he wants.
But why?
Edit 2: Update!! This brainrot is now a precursor and has a part 1 to a series!!
#astarion x reader#astarion x you#astarion x mc#astarion ancunin#not so much Astarion x tav because#well he wants to get rid of them to meet you#or something like that!#baldur's gate 3#is this considered getting isekai’d?#probably

How’d This Happen?!
A/n: First Post! Please enjoy! This was inspired by @idkfitememate Boar!Creator!
I was floating... it’s dark? What..?
I was just playing Genshin Impact... Where am I now..? It’s getting cold... Huh... What’s that light? When you first woke up, you didn’t understand what was happening. But you got isekai’d into Genshin Impact, as a cat.
You mostly looked like Luna from Sailor Moon... but your eyes. They were like a normal cat’s, but golden, and your pupils looked like Primogems.
Great... You thought annoyed, you’ve read stories, some get cool powers, others get their phones... but you got a Cat! How unfair, but you choose to feel thankful, you didn’t know if their was anything to this place yet...
They could have killed you for being an ‘ImPoStOr,’ you mentally mock the name... But you started to wonder and ended up cutting yourself.
Not gold blood. Not stary blood. Or pink blood. It looked like the Galaxy, the drops that lost contact with your skin floated up to the sky...
So... You were a god? How does that work? You were stuck in the form of a cat... So confusing... But you decided to wander around and learn.
=================================================
In the few weeks you’ve been here, you’ve found out the following.
One, the true “Impostor,” had descended here long ago.
Two, they weren’t an animal.
Three, you did, in fact, have a human form, but felines are your ‘Symbolic Animals,’ odd, but you’ve always been a cat person. (You did figure out how to turn back into human, but you didn’t have clothes and turned right back into a cat.)
Four, you can control the different elements; So you decided to be chaotic and make a cat friendly base in the trees and ground so no one would find you.
Five, the mobs didn’t attack you.
So far, when someone’s seen you, you’d bolt. But now, you have a proper escape plan! So, you started working. Of course, you struggled, after all, you weren’t exactly used to being a cat yet, or using the elemental powers. But you managed.
Thankfully, Tevyat helped you, making sure you found fresh and clean water; giving you cat-friendly fruits to eat, or letting you catch big fishes; making sure the waters were calm if you tried swimming; and the winds gently blew you dry after.
But after a few months, you made a very small cave system for cats, or bunnies now that you think of the size, to travel through. You didn’t fully understand Dendro enough to make a tree base.
More time passed, as you lived as a cat. You didn’t care to keep up a ‘good appearance,’ why should you? You’re a cat in the forests near Mondstadt, staying alive was more important for you.
Time actually was passing so fast because you were so used to your world’s time. So, you didn’t really eat or sleep like the others here. So before you could process, a year had gone by...
You spend that time playing; chasing seelies, napping with slimes, and visiting some Melusines in Fontaine (Them not telling anyone your the Creator). Letting the hilichurls braid your now fluffy and long fur.
And you were getting homesick; yes, you were having fun... But you missed your parents, your older brother, your friends... Hell! You missed school, as crazy as it sounds...
No one here called you by your name... No one looked at you... No one thought anything of you now... But it was your face and name being taken by that person...
You shake yourself out of your thoughts, angrily... You didn’t like this as much as you thought you did... You enjoyed being free and not being hunted down... but you wanted to talk to people...
But you joined your favorite Hilichurl Camp, joining in with the fire dance. You were invested into the dance as you breathed Fireballs, of different shapes, into the night sky; Thankfully, not harming any trees, or wildlife.
But, barely missed the boy who was acting like a wolf-... Wait!?
Thanks for reading!! Sorry for my first post being so short, but updates will be slow... Once again, this was inspired by @idkfitememate please check them out!

I know violins weren’t around at that time, but I was thinking about Isekai’d to the West by @skittlescripts (currently on hiatus) after my violin lesson.
My reader (if she somehow got her hands on her violin again) would absolutely be extra enough that when Bajie/Wuneng started to whine and complain, would pull out her violin with an exaggerated sigh and just start playing “Woe Is Me!” From SpongeBob.
The first time, they’re confused, but after she’s explained the joke, at least Wukong finds it funny. Bajie finds it annoying and eventually learns to shut up.

Isekai’d yandere x f.reader

We’ve all heard about reader getting isekai’d into another universe and bonding with the characters, but what if it was the opposite and the yandere was isekai’d while reader’s just a background character.
————-
You were the mere daughter of a baron. You were pretty, yes, but nothing to gape in awe at. To summarise, you were nothing special. Then how come the heir of a grand duchy followed you around like a puppy seeking its masters attention? Especially since it was only the day earlier that he smitten with another young miss, who he’d declared with his actions was to become his future fiancée.
Yandere! Noble who suddenly approached you out of nowhere one day. You weren’t friends and had hardly ever spoken; to ask directions or work in pairs, perhaps. He was way too cheery speaking to you. It was completely out of character for him. Where did the normally stoic and unphased young man go? He was certainly not to be found here. No, this man chatted your ear off and did not understand that you wished to be left alone. It didn’t feel very safe anymore when all his admirers glared daggers your way. There was one you were especially afraid of. He was head over heels in love with her before. What has changed? You always saw them together and she was the only one he’d smiled at genuinely. Now he didn’t even spare her a glance.
Yandere! Noble who sought you out whenever he had free time. He wanted to accompany you in breaks between your classes at the academy, he wished to escort you to town and he even showed up outside your estate. His change in behaviour was puzzling, but not as much as the shift in his speech. What were these ‘bruh’, ‘sigma’ and ‘I’m cooked’? You didn’t understand any of it, no matter how much he used it around you. You suppose you were thankful he did turn it down a notch when in others company. You already had a hard time with it, you didn’t think it was necessary for others to suffer as well.
Yandere! Noble who had been shocked when they died and woken up in the world of their favourite romance game. They had read a lot of isekai novels but never once thought the thing was actually real. Wait, if this was their favourite game, then wouldn’t that mean that you were there too? Yes! Maybe they should thank Truck-kun for hitting them on their way to work. This was much better than any ordinary life a citizen could have. At first they thought they’d be stuck in the body of a villain or a side character, but they were pleasantly surprised to find themselves being the male lead of the game. He was rich, noble, influential and devilishly handsome. He had everything.
Yandere! Noble who immediately went to the academy to find you. When playing the game, they never found themselves attracted to the female lead, despite the fact she was modelled after the general population’s preferences. It just didn’t work for them. No, they liked you. Loved you even! It didn’t matter that you were nothing more than a simple background character. You were way better and cuter than any other love interest! You kept to yourself and didn’t have many friends, however you were still very kind and modest. On top of that, you were also an animal lover- exactly like them! The two of you also shared one other interest. They wanted to know if you shared more, but unfortunately the information on you was limited(not created because you’re not important).
Yandere! Noble who wrote an email to the game developers about how they should make extra content that should only feature new information and updates on you. They insist it would sell well(no one except them would buy). Sadly they never got a reply back. Rude ass company. Maybe they should’ve claimed mental health damage because the love interests were bad, so they could sue.
Yandere! Noble who couldn’t care less about the female lead. Unfortunately they got isekaid to at the point of the game where you’d have to enter a relationship with the female lead, that you could break off eventually if you wanted to chase after someone else. And sadly for her, you were the only option. The look on her face was laughable as they told her they could give rats ass about her and how they’ve found someone much better than her in all ways.
Yandere! Noble who then realised they were not bound by any rules. In a lot of isekai the person would have to follow some original rules at least in the beginning, but there was no system or points you needed to collect. They could do whatever they wanted. They had the power, the looks, the wealth and what they wanted was you.
There is no way you’d ever say no to a future grand duke, right?

Trash Novel Chronicles: Accidentally Falling For a Fae Prince - Malleus Draconia x reader
When you get dragged into a novel which ends with the heroine in a polycule with the most annoying men in literature, you decide that you're gonna skip town. ...Only to trip over the fae prince, Malleus Draconia.
Series Masterlist
Work’s been a disaster from the moment you stepped in. Your boss, who makes dollar bills while you’re lucky to scrape together a few dimes, is in one of those moods. So, instead of pretending to be productive, you do what any rational person would do: you pull up a random webnovel website and let the ridiculousness wash over you.
And oh boy, is it ridiculous.
You start reading "The Villainess's Revenge: My Heart is Colder Than Lukewarm Tea!" and, within the first chapter, you realize it’s like watching cement dry—but with less plot development. The villainess is cartoonishly evil, stomping around in ballgowns with a sneer so exaggerated it’s a wonder her face hasn’t permanently locked in place. Her tragic backstory? She once got served lukewarm tea. And, oh no, she stepped in mud at a ball. The horror. Riveting stuff, truly.
Meanwhile, the heroine? She’s clearly phoning it in. Every scene she’s in, her eyes are dead inside like she’s as exhausted as you are by the sheer nonsense of the plot. If this girl could quit her own story, she would’ve done it yesterday. You can't help but mentally send her your condolences.
Then, there’s the male leads. If you can even call them that.
First, the Crown Prince, whose idea of a crisis is a fashion faux pas. This guy once canceled a whole wedding because his socks didn’t match. His spirals into existential crises every time a thread is out of place would be entertaining if it weren’t so tragic. The way he’s written, you swear he could kill a man with a critical stare over improper cufflinks.
Next up, the Duke. Brooding, romantic, and absolutely incapable of writing good poetry. Every time he spots the heroine, he launches into the worst rhymes you’ve ever heard. It’s so bad that you’re embarrassed for both of them. He follows her everywhere, reading his masterpieces at the most inappropriate times—like during a funeral. Who does that?
And finally, the Hero Knight. Ah, the knight. The epitome of overzealous stupidity. He turned grocery shopping into a three-day quest for the “Golden Lettuce of Destiny,” and vowed to defend the heroine’s honor from…nobody. You’d swear he’s larping 24/7. It’s exhausting just reading about him.
As if that weren’t bad enough, the heroine ends up in a polycule with all of them because the author was so sick of comments asking, “Who will she date?” that they just threw their hands up and went, “Fine, she dates everyone!” The heroine looks exhausted, and you feel for her. You feel for yourself, too, because reading this is actively lowering your IQ.
You sit there, flabbergasted, staring at the screen. This is what you’ve chosen to waste your time on? What’s worse, your boss will probably come around the corner any minute to scold you—oh wait, nope, the corner of the ceiling just gave out and bonk—there goes a chunk of plaster, right on your head.
You cannot believe this is how you get taken out.
You wake up and, somehow, it’s worse. You’re in a four-poster bed, covered in satin sheets, and your first thought is goddammit—you’ve been isekai’d. And not just into any world. That world. The webnovel.
You drag yourself out of bed, feeling a sudden wave of dread. You were the heroine in this mess. The heroine. Goddammit, why does everything bad only happen to you? For a moment, you're relieved you’re not the villainess. But then you remember: you’re stuck in a polycule with three absolute clowns.
Nope. Not happening. You will not end up with any of these pushy idiots. Goal one? Avoid the polycule at all costs.
Suddenly, the door flies open with a bang, and in burst all three male leads, dramatically weeping and crying out how you’ve been in a coma for so long. Their over-the-top emotions would be heartwarming if they weren’t so ridiculous.
“You’ve returned to us, my dearest flower of the kingdom!” the Crown Prince sobs, still perfectly dressed despite the tears streaming down his face. He sniffs and dabs his eyes with a handkerchief embroidered with his own face. Of course.
The Duke starts reciting the worst love poem you've ever heard, right there, in the middle of your room, as if you didn’t just wake up from a coma.
“I wandered, lost, like a daisy in a field of… uh… misery, because you, my sun, were hidden in the sky of my heart…” The rest is a blur because your brain has officially short-circuited.
And the Hero Knight? He’s already on his knees, swearing to protect you from whatever invisible threat he’s made up this time. “Fear not, fair lady! I shall defend thee against all who oppose your grace!”
You manage to kick all of them out of your room with a lot of effort and a lot of heavy glares. The moment you’re alone, you find a suicide note on the dresser, written by the actual heroine. Apparently, she drank poison just to get away from these weirdos.
What an icon.
But not you. You’re not dying again for these guys. No way.
You’re moving through the bustling market in full disguise, keeping an eye out for any knights or familiar faces. Your plan is simple: escape the polycule before any of those nutjobs track you down. With every step, you remind yourself that freedom is just one boat ride away—preferably to a distant land that has no idea who the Hero Knight, the Duke, or the crown prince are.
But as you round a corner, your thoughts scatter when you bump—quite literally—into something solid. You stagger back, blinking up at a tall figure dressed in all black. At first, panic flashes through you—please don’t be one of them—but when your eyes meet his, it’s not the Crown Prince, the Duke, or the Hero Knight.
It’s someone new. And he seems… perfectly pleasant. His strikingly elegant features, crowned by horns, should make him imposing, but his eyes soften as he looks at you. There’s an almost serene curiosity in them.
"Ah, forgive me," he says smoothly, his deep voice lilting with a formality that surprises you. "I didn’t see you there."
"No, no, it’s my fault," you reply, awkwardly waving your hands, trying to figure out why he’s so different from everyone else in this place. He’s polite. Polite. Already, you feel better about this encounter than you have about every conversation with the three other disasters that have been stalking you.
He steps aside, but instead of walking away, he looks around the marketplace with a faint, thoughtful frown. “I seem to have… lost my way,” he admits, glancing back at you. “This place is unfamiliar to me.”
Something in his tone, in the way his eyes briefly widen as he takes in the simplest market stalls—like he’s genuinely fascinated—makes you soften toward him. Ugh, bleeding heart strikes again. Before you know it, you find yourself asking, “Do you need help? I can… show you around.”
He turns his gaze back to you, and his lips quirk into the smallest, softest smile. “That would be most appreciated.”
As you walk together, he marvels at the simplest things—the fresh bread from a stall, the colorful fabrics, the scent of flowers sold at a cart. He’s curious about everything, eyes lingering on each sight like it’s the first time he’s ever seen such mundane wonders. His fascination is oddly endearing. It’s clear he’s not used to mingling in places like this, and his awe at the most normal things is… well, cute.
"Have you ever seen so many people in one place?" you ask, trying to fill the silence, though you’re surprised to find that you’re not uncomfortable around him.
He chuckles lightly. “Not in such a casual setting, no. It’s quite… charming. Everything feels so alive.”
You almost snort at the idea that this guy finds a basic market so thrilling, but you keep it in check. At least he’s not another drama king like the Crown Prince or a bad poet like the Duke.
It’s been a surprisingly pleasant afternoon until your luck inevitably runs out. You spot the familiar, impeccably dressed figure of the Crown Prince moving through the crowd with his knights. He’s scanning the area, and panic rises in your throat.
“Crap,” you mutter under your breath. Instinctively, you grab the man’s sleeve, tugging him down the nearest alley. “We need to go. Now.”
He blinks, looking puzzled but not resisting. “Is something wrong?”
Yes! you think, your mind flashing to the emotional wreck that is the prince. "No time to explain. Just trust me."
But you’re too late. The Crown Prince, in all his resplendent, overly perfect glory, catches sight of you just as you’re about to disappear into the shadows.
“Well, well,” the prince calls out with an overly bright smile. “If it isn’t my darling—oh!” His eyes widen as he finally notices the tall figure standing next to you. “Prince Malleus Draconia of Briar Valley!”
You blue screen.
Your grip loosens on Malleus’s sleeve as your brain sputters. Prince. Fae Prince. You’d just been casually chatting with the Prince of Briar Valley like he was some random lost guy? Did you seriously just… You internally spiral as the realization sinks in. Of course, he's a prince! The horns! The aura!
Malleus, for his part, remains calm and collected, inclining his head toward the Crown Prince. “Ah, it seems I’ve been found,” he says smoothly, completely unaware of the crisis currently happening inside your head.
The Crown Prince gives Malleus a florid bow, then immediately turns his attention back to you. “My dear, you shouldn’t be wandering the streets alone. Allow me to escort you to the palace.” His hand reaches out toward you, his smile practiced and princely, but your gut clenches with discomfort. No, nope, no thanks.
You step back instinctively, your unease written all over your face. Before you can even figure out how to politely decline without causing a scene, Malleus moves.
Malleus, who up until now was watching the exchange with mild curiosity, steps forward. His eyes narrow slightly as he looks the Crown Prince up and down. The prince stumbles over his words and backs away under the weight of Malleus’ stare.
The Crown Prince’s smile falters. He hesitates, glancing between you and Malleus, clearly unsure how to proceed. “I—um—of course, Prince Malleus, I didn’t mean to overstep,” he stammers, eyes darting nervously between the two of you.
You stand there, stunned, watching as Malleus’ mere presence makes the most annoyingly confident man in the kingdom back off. Is this real life?
The prince clears his throat awkwardly, then shoots you one last uneasy smile before making a swift retreat with his knights, leaving you standing there with Malleus.
You let out a long, relieved breath and glance up at him, feeling a little less like you’re about to lose your mind. “Thanks… for that.”
Malleus’ lips quirk into a tiny, knowing smile. “It was my pleasure.” He tilts his head, eyes still twinkling with that same curiosity from earlier. “Although, I must admit, I’m rather curious why you were so eager to avoid him.”
You laugh nervously, running a hand through your hair. “Let’s just say… he’s more trouble than he’s worth.”
You don't know how you’ve ended up in this mess. One minute, you’re lost in the market, trying to figure out how to escape this ridiculous polycule situation, and the next, you’ve been dragged into a carriage on your way to the palace—with the Crown Prince, your overly dramatic Knight, and the Fae Prince himself.
Malleus, the Fae Prince, had politely asked if you would accompany him to the palace, and in a panic, you said yes. Because, really, how could you admit to both him and the Crown Prince that you’d actually been planning to skip town? So now, here you are, sitting through the most awkward carriage ride of your life.
Your knight, perched beside you, clears his throat dramatically. “Fear not, my lady,” he says in a voice filled with too much gravitas for the situation. “I shall protect you from all perils! Should the wind itself dare to brush against your delicate frame, I shall strike it down with my blade! No harm shall come to you so long as I draw breath!”
You facepalm internally. Please. Stop talking.
The Crown Prince, sitting across from you, adjusts his cufflinks for the tenth time. “I must say,” he purrs, fishing for compliments, “this outfit is particularly resplendent today, don’t you think? The shade of royal blue brings out the depth in my eyes. It was hand-tailored, of course. What do you think, my dear?”
You blink at him, trying to process whether he’s serious. He is. He’s absolutely serious.
Malleus watches the exchange in silent confusion, his eyes flicking between the three of you as if trying to figure out if this is normal human behavior. After all, you’ve got one guy swearing to kill the breeze, another obsessed with his reflection, and you, trying to melt into the upholstery.
“Is this… how humans typically behave?” Malleus asks, his voice soft and genuinely curious.
You shake your head vigorously. “No. This is how clowns behave.” Malleus raises an eyebrow but seems satisfied with your answer, settling back into his seat.
When the carriage finally—finally—arrives at the palace, you’re barely holding onto your sanity. But things are about to get worse.
As you’re ushered into the meeting hall, a trio approaches you. It’s Lilia, Silver, and… Sebek.
Sebek, who looks one step away from a full-blown aneurysm.
"Lord Malleus!" Sebek practically screeches, running toward Malleus like the world was ending. “How could you wander off on your own?! Do you know how much chaos you caused?! I almost fainted from sheer terror!”
Malleus doesn’t even flinch. “I had a guide.” He gestures toward you.
Sebek’s eyes land on you, and you quickly glance around for an escape route. “YOU?! YOU DARED TOUCH—”
Before Sebek can finish, you spot the Duke—one of your many suitors and part of the delegation—striding toward you with his usual brooding expression. You instinctively grab onto Malleus’ sleeve for some comfort (or maybe protection from what’s about to come next).
The Duke’s eyes light up as he sees you, and then… he begins to recite. “Oh, my dearest, like the moon that doth gleam upon a cheese plate—no, wait—upon a field of… toes? Your hair, like the petals of wilted roses in the rain... um… and your eyes… they are like two potatoes, cooked to perfection…”
Even Sebek is speechless. You think you see a vein pop on his forehead, but for once, he’s too stunned to yell.
Lilia, standing beside Sebek, chuckles, amused. “Well, I have to say, that’s… quite something.”
Malleus tilts his head, blinking at the Duke’s strange poetry. “Are potatoes considered a form of flattery in human culture?”
“No,” you mutter. “No, they’re not.”
Just when you think things can’t possibly get more absurd, the meeting begins. Because you’re technically the daughter of a Duke, you’re forced to sit through the whole ordeal. They start discussing the logistics of showing the fae delegation around the city.
“We need someone trustworthy to act as a guide,” one of the officials says, glancing toward the Crown Prince.
Malleus, who had been quietly observing the room, suddenly speaks up. “I believe I’ve already found the perfect guide.”
You freeze. No. No, no, no.
“The young lady who helped me in the market,” Malleus continues, looking directly at you.
The room falls silent. You, of all people, are the last person who wants to be anywhere near the fae delegation or, worse, your insane suitors. But before you can even open your mouth to refuse, the Crown Prince starts.
“My dear,” he says, leaning forward with a princely grin, “while I understand you’ve already formed an acquaintance with Prince Malleus, perhaps it would be better for someone more… experienced to take on this role.” He flashes his most charming smile, which, after everything today, only makes you cringe.
But Malleus just stares at him, completely unbothered. “No. I want her as my guide.”
Silver shifts slightly, glancing at you with an expression you can’t quite place, while Lilia’s eyes twinkle with amusement. “How interesting,” Lilia murmurs, clearly entertained by the situation.
Sebek, however, explodes. “IF LORD MALLEUS WANTS HER AS HIS GUIDE, THEN SO BE IT!” He turns toward the Crown Prince, practically vibrating with anger. “YOU WILL NOT QUESTION HIS DECISION!”
The Crown Prince, for once, looks genuinely taken aback. “I—I meant no offense! Of course, whatever Lord Malleus desires…”
You sink into your chair, feeling like your last chance at a peaceful life just flew out the window. Malleus turns to you with an expectant, polite smile. “I look forward to our time together.”
You groan inwardly. How is this my life?
You had to admit, Malleus was really nice. When you compared him to the absolute circus of clowns you had to deal with, he was practically a gift sent from above. So, you made a decision—if you were going to be his guide, you were going to be the best guide ever. And once they wrapped up this whole diplomatic visit, you'd beg him to take you with him to Briar Valley, where hopefully, your ridiculous suitors would be very far away.
Apparently, being a guide also meant dragging him along to everything you did, including navigating high society. This was where things got tricky. The original heroine had endured these events like a pro, but you? You were just a lowly office worker who'd read bad webnovels to avoid work. Now you were living in one.
First stop: a tea party.
As you sit down with Malleus beside you—who’s awkwardly perched in a chair much too small for him—you scan the room. Of course, all three of your ridiculous suitors are here. The Crown Prince, obsessing over the intricate lace of his cravat. The Hero Knight, sharpening his sword for no reason in the middle of a garden party. And the Duke, scribbling poetry on a napkin with all the grace of a sleep-deprived teenager finishing their homework five minutes before class.
But this wasn’t just about them. This was also your first time meeting the so-called villainess.
The villainess arrived like a whirlwind of petticoats and extravagant headpieces, smiling in that "I'm about to ruin your whole existence" kind of way. You smiled back, trying not to look dead inside when she launched into a diatribe about ruffles.
"And you see," she said, flickering her wrist with an air of superiority, "it was positively scandalous! The seamstress gave me a gown with only forty ruffles. Can you imagine? What am I, a commoner?"
You tried to smile politely. Truly. But Malleus, seated beside you, was staring at her with this fascinated look, as if watching a rare bird display its feathers. You could tell he was having a hard time grasping what the point of her story was. So were you.
But then, of course, the conversation turned personal.
“And the Duke,” the villainess said with a sly smirk, “such a poetic soul. He deserves better than to pine over someone who clearly has no appreciation for his art. Don’t you think?”
You blinked. Was this woman for real? You glanced at the Duke, who had suddenly gone from scribbling to gazing at you with that awful puppy-dog look. The one that meant another horrible poem was probably brewing.
You couldn’t help it. The words came out of your mouth before you could stop yourself. “Please take him.”
The villainess's eyes widened. “What?”
Malleus looked at you in amusement, while the Duke gasped dramatically, as if you’d just run him through with a sword.
You clasped your hands together and leaned forward earnestly. “Please, please take him. I don’t want him. At all. He’s all yours. You can have him—along with his potato-themed poems.”
The Duke visibly wilted. “But—! My lady! You—you wound me!”
“No, Duke, you wound me—with your terrible metaphors,” you deadpan. “And I’m begging you. Take him. Please. For the love of everything holy, I’m begging you.”
The villainess, probably for the first time in her life, looked completely flustered. “Are you… serious?”
“Absolutely,” you said, nodding. “I will sign papers. I’ll throw a party. I’ll—whatever it takes. Just… he’s yours.”
Malleus and Lilia were practically shaking with barely-contained laughter at this point, while the Duke had dropped to one knee, a napkin-clutched in his hand like some sad bouquet. “My poems… they were written with you in mind. Each line! Each stanza! Crafted from the depths of my heart!”
“Exactly,” you said, unblinking. “That’s why I need you to take him. Before he writes more.”
The villainess stared at you, completely dumbfounded. Then, after a pause, she broke into a smile. “Well, I’ve never had a man gifted to me before. I suppose I can make an exception.”
You felt like you could cry with relief. “Thank you.”
And just like that, your beef with the villainess was squashed. You traded your tragic suitor for peace of mind, and the villainess, now on the receiving end of the Duke’s “affections,” seemed pleased with her new prize.
Malleus leaned in, his voice low but filled with amusement. “I must say, you handled that quite well.”
You sighed, finally able to relax. “I handled that with desperation.”
And just like that, you’d rid yourself of two your problems. Now… to figure out how to survive the other two without losing your sanity.
You barely had time to process your victory over one villainess before a second one spawned out of nowhere like this was some kind of twisted video game. The Isekai Overlords clearly weren’t done with you yet. And this one? Oh, she was worse. The Crown Prince’s younger sister—spoiled princess extraordinaire—who genuinely believed her father was the reason the sun rose in the morning.
But, to your surprise, she didn’t even care about you. Like, at all. She acted like you didn’t even exist. Honestly? You were grateful. At least you could blend into the background this time and—oh no. Oh no.
She was making a beeline straight for Malleus.
You watched, horrified, as the princess latched onto him, throwing herself at him like he was a rare limited-edition collectible and not, you know, the Prince of Briar Valley and one of the most powerful beings in the world. Malleus shifted uncomfortably, clearly unsure how to handle the situation, while Sebek was being barely restrained by Lilia and Silver. Lilia, of course, had that mischievous glint in his eye, like he was enjoying the whole ordeal.
You, on the other hand, were not enjoying it. You could practically see your retirement plans shriveling up in front of you—this had diplomatic nightmare written all over it. If Malleus so much as sneezed, you were pretty sure this princess would declare war on Briar Valley.
So, you did the only thing you could think of: you stepped in.
“Um, excuse me, Your Highness,” you said, stepping between the princess and Malleus. “Could you maybe… not cling to him like he’s a handbag?”
She turned to you with a look of utter disdain, like you were a fly she was too annoyed to swat away. “And who are you, exactly?”
Before you could answer, she pointed an accusatory finger at you. “I challenge you to a duel! For his hand!”
You blinked. “Bro, what?”
The princess huffed. “For the hand of Prince Malleus, of course! You think I didn’t see you fawning over him?”
“Fawning? I’m literally just his guide!” You gestured to Malleus, who, for some reason, looked almost giddy. “I’m not dating him, we’re not engaged, and if you push it, we’re maybe friends.”
Malleus practically beamed at the word “friends.” Was he… happy about this? About being defended like some damsel in distress? You were defending the most powerful fae in existence, and here he was, looking like you just made his entire year.
Sebek and Silver immediately stepped forward, but before they could say anything, Malleus raised a hand. “No. I would like to see how my guide—and friend—defends my honor.”
Your brain short-circuited. What?!
The princess smirked, clearly thinking she had you cornered. “Prepare yourself for the duel then! My personal knight will face you.”
You glanced at the knight, a towering figure who looked like he’d been training for war since birth, and then back at the sword that had been thrust into your hands. This was not how you imagined your day going. You hadn’t even touched a sword before. Meanwhile, your opponent was stretching like this was a warm-up exercise.
Still, you had no choice. With a deep breath and the knowledge that you were about to make a complete fool of yourself, you stepped forward, sword held awkwardly in front of you.
The duel began.
The knight lunged at you with a practiced, fluid motion. You, on the other hand, tripped over a rock, accidentally ducking his strike, and in your flailing attempt to stay upright, the hilt of your sword smacked him right in the face.
There was a collective gasp from the audience.
“Oh no,” you muttered under your breath.
The knight staggered, his face scrunched in confusion. He tried again, this time swinging from the side. You managed to parry—purely out of luck—and in the process, tripped forward, sending your sword clattering out of your hands and somehow knocking the knight’s legs out from under him. He fell to the ground with a thud.
Dead silence followed.
You stood there, frozen, your sword lying a few feet away. The knight was on his back, staring up at the sky, clearly bewildered by what had just happened. You hadn't even swung properly!
Lilia burst out laughing. “My, my! That was quite the duel! You’ll have to take responsibility now.”
“Responsibility?” you echoed, flustered beyond belief. “For what? I just—he tripped! I tripped! That wasn’t even—”
“Exactly,” Lilia teased. “You won the duel. Now you must take responsibility for defending Prince Malleus’ honor so valiantly.”
Malleus, looking thoroughly impressed, gave you a small, pleased smile. “Indeed. You have my gratitude.”
The princess, meanwhile, was gaping at you like she couldn’t believe what just happened. “This… this is an outrage!”
You sighed, feeling utterly exhausted. “Look, I didn’t even want to duel in the first place. Can’t we just—call it a day? I’ve had enough of knights and duels and—” You gestured vaguely to Malleus. “I’m not even dating him.”
Malleus’ smile widened. “But we are friends.”
Lilia chuckled. “Ah, young love is so complicated.”
You shot him a glare. This was not what you signed up for. But hey, at least you won the duel—somehow.
You were lounging in your mansion’s parlor, the day blissfully uneventful for once. The warm sunlight filtered through the windows, casting a cozy glow over the room. Malleus was mid-conversation—no, scratch that—mid-rant about gargoyles. To your surprise, you were actually kind of into it.
“And that’s the primary difference between gargoyles and grotesques,” Malleus continued passionately. “You see, gargoyles are not merely decorative but also functional, designed to channel water away from the structure, whereas grotesques, while similar in appearance, serve no such purpose. Fascinating, isn’t it?”
You nodded, intrigued, and cut in with a genuine question. “Wait, so is the functionality the only difference? Like, are they made from the same material?”
Malleus blinked, slightly taken aback that you were not only listening but actively participating. “Yes, precisely. They are often carved from the same stone, but it’s their purpose that sets them apart. For example, in the southern—” He paused, seeming to catch himself, suddenly looking sheepish. “Ah, forgive me. I fear I’ve been talking too much.”
Sebek nearly jumped out of his seat, eyes wide with horror. “Lord Malleus! Everything you say is perfect! Don’t apologize for sharing your magnificent knowledge!”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little. “No, really, I enjoy it,” you said, waving off Malleus’ concerns. “I mean, how often do you get to talk about something so niche with someone who knows this much about it? I actually have a question—do any of the gargoyles in the Briar Valley have, like, historical significance? Like ones that are still functioning after all this time?”
Malleus lit up, and he launched right back into it, going on about ancient gargoyles in the Briar Valley that had withstood the test of time. He even started comparing the craftsmanship of various eras, and to your own surprise, you threw in a few comments about architecture and water systems, things you barely remembered from some random articles you’d read ages ago.
Halfway through a comparison of Gothic versus Renaissance gargoyle styles, a soft knock interrupted. Your maid entered, bowing slightly. “My lady, pardon the interruption, but we need your guidance with something in the kitchens.”
You sighed but smiled, pushing yourself off the couch. “I’ll be right back. Don’t let them bully you into leaving the gargoyle talk,” you teased as you walked out, completely unaware of the effect your comment had left behind.
As soon as the door closed, Malleus stood there, momentarily speechless. His pale cheeks took on the faintest hint of color, and his eyes were wide, as if someone had just smacked him with a metaphorical brick of emotions. The prince of Briar Valley, the most powerful creature in existence, was blushing like a schoolgirl with her first crush.
Lilia, ever the mischievous one, was already grinning from ear to ear, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Well, well, well… isn’t this interesting?” he purred, barely suppressing a chuckle.
Silver raised an amused brow, casting a side glance at Malleus. “It’s not every day we see him blush.”
Sebek, on the other hand, was utterly baffled but still overjoyed at seeing his lord smiling so widely. “Of course Lord Malleus is happy!” Sebek exclaimed proudly, though there was a trace of confusion in his voice. “He’s been honored with your presence and your rapt attention, as is only right! I just—” Sebek glanced around, as if trying to understand the subtle undercurrent in the room, “—I don’t understand why he’s so… red?”
Lilia patted Sebek on the back, barely holding in his laughter. “Oh, Sebek, my boy. This is what happens when someone gets the attention they’ve long desired.”
Malleus cleared his throat, trying—and failing—to compose himself. “I’m merely… pleased,” he said, though his blush betrayed him. “It’s rare to find someone who listens so attentively.”
Lilia chuckled softly. “Yes, and who knows the difference between gargoyles and grotesques, I imagine. Quite the match for you, wouldn’t you say?”
Malleus, flustered beyond belief, gave Lilia a sidelong look but said nothing, clearly more preoccupied with the strange warmth blooming in his chest.
By the time you returned, unaware of the scene you’d left behind, Malleus was still trying to gather himself. Lilia shot you a knowing smile, and Silver just gave you a look like you have no idea what’s happening, do you? Sebek, as always, continued to beam with unshakable loyalty to his blushing lord.
But hey, at least Malleus was happy—really happy.
It all started innocently enough—you were having dinner with Malleus, Sebek, Lilia, and Silver. Sebek was, as usual, going on one of his rants about how absolutely divine Malleus was, Lilia was being cryptic and vaguely mischievous, and Silver was dozing off between courses.
You, being the delightful disaster that you were, cracked a joke between bites. “Honestly, if Sebek praises Malleus any more, we might as well commission a statue of him—complete with an audio loop of Sebek’s praises.”
Malleus laughed. Actually laughed. It was such a rare sound, deep and rich, and when you heard it, your heart stuttered in your chest like someone had just jabbed you with a lightning bolt.
Oh no.
You knew, from that very moment, you were in deep, deep shit.
From that point on, everything Malleus did made it impossible for you to act normal around him. His laugh, the way his eyes crinkled when he found something amusing, the warmth in his voice when he spoke to you—how had you not noticed before? And now, every time Lilia even looked at you, it was with this knowing, mischievous grin, like the universe had finally granted him the entertainment he’d been waiting for all these centuries.
“This,” Lilia said one day, leaning in conspiratorially with a grin that could light up a room, “this is what I’ve lived so long for.”
And to make matters worse, it wasn’t just your mind tormenting you. Oh no. It was like the entire world was in on the joke. You could practically see sparkles in the air every time Malleus so much as glanced your way. Sparkles, for crying out loud. Your heart was in critical danger.
Your solution? Avoid him.
But it wasn’t that simple. You tried hiding behind furniture, ducking into bushes, and even feigning an incredibly inconvenient bout of food poisoning just to avoid being near him. One time, you spotted Malleus coming down the hall and, in a blind panic, dove behind a potted plant. The plant was tiny. You were not. Somehow, you thought it would work.
It didn’t. Malleus casually walked over, spotted you crouching awkwardly behind the plant, and said, “Is there something wrong with that shrubbery? Should I summon someone to tend to it?”
Another time, you attempted to “sneak” out of the palace by pretending you were a passing merchant. You wore a very large hat and wrapped yourself in an oversized cloak. Malleus found you immediately.
“Aren’t you feeling a bit warm in that?” he asked, blinking at your ridiculous ensemble.
He had fae hearing. He could always find you.
Even guiding him around town became a disaster. How were you supposed to be a competent host when all you could think about was how unfairly hot he was? Every word he said carried this charming, ancient elegance, and here you were, a flustered mess with zero composure.
Lilia? Still having the time of his life. He was practically choking on his laughter at this point. Silver, somehow, slept through most of your crises, and Sebek was just thrilled Malleus was spending so much time with him (though he was clearly confused about why you were acting so weird).
Finally, you had enough. One night, under the cover of the moon, you snuck into the garden with the determination of someone completely done with their own suffering. You found a flower—granted, you didn’t know what it was, but it looked nice—and you marched up to Malleus, who was out enjoying the evening air, blissfully unaware of the emotional train wreck headed his way.
“I need to say something!” you blurted, shoving the flower toward him.
Malleus took the flower carefully, glancing down at it. His expression shifted from curious to… mildly concerned? “This flower,” he said slowly, “is traditionally used in Briar Valley to signify deep betrayal…”
You blinked. Oh god.
“No, wait! I didn’t mean—!” you stammered, but before you could backtrack, your brain decided it had had enough. You blurted out the truth, no holds barred: “I like you, okay?! I’ve been a mess for weeks because of how ridiculously perfect you are, and I’m tired of avoiding you and hiding behind plants! So there!”
There was a moment of stunned silence. Malleus stared at you, his eyes wide with shock, and then, much to your surprise (and relief), he broke into the widest smile you’d ever seen on him. It was like the moon had just gotten brighter.
“You’re confessing… to me?” he asked softly, his voice filled with genuine joy.
“Yes,” you groaned, face burning with embarrassment. “Now please reject me so I can go lie in a ditch somewhere.”
But instead of rejection, you got happy dragon noises. Malleus gently pulled you into his arms and, with a voice full of affection, declared, “You are mine, then. From this day forward, you are my beloved.”
Cue your soul leaving your body.
When you broke the news to your father the next day, the poor Duke nearly fainted at the sight of the Prince of Briar Valley standing there, flanked by Silver, Sebek, and Lilia, the former general grinning like the Cheshire cat.
The Duke was intimidated—terrified, really—and quickly agreed to let the courtship proceed. But there was a catch.
“You’ll have to tell the Crown Prince and the Hero Knight yourself,” your father said, his face pale. “I’m not getting involved in that.”
Your retirement plans had officially died.
Despite all the chaos that had entered your life since becoming Malleus's beloved, you had to admit—there were perks. One of those was what you’d come to call "fae luck." It became especially apparent during a particularly tense diplomatic meeting involving the fae, the beastmen, and your kingdom.
The room was filled with strained conversations, the kind of diplomacy that could either result in peace or war, depending on how fragile the egos in the room were. You were sitting between Malleus and the second prince, doing your best to avoid looking at the first prince, who had already been giving you way too much attention for comfort.
Then it happened.
The first prince, ever the picture of grace, rose to speak. As he took his first step forward… THUD. He tripped spectacularly, arms flailing, and landed directly in the lap of the Beastmen Queen. There was a collective gasp, and for a heartbeat, you thought maybe this could be saved—until he opened his mouth.
“Well, I guess I’ve… fallen for you!”
Silence.
The Beastmen Queen's expression froze. The fae delegation collectively facepalmed, and you could practically feel the tension suffocating the room.
And then the Beastmen were on their feet, growling and demanding the immediate removal of the first prince from the line of succession. One of their diplomats, fur bristling with indignation, roared, “This is an insult to our Queen! Remove this fool from the throne!”
Instead of apologizing, as a normal, sane person might have, the first prince, face red with embarrassment, dug himself even deeper. “It was a joke! Can’t you beastmen take a joke? Honestly, I don’t see why everyone’s so sensitive.”
The Beastmen's amger intensified, and you saw the Emperor and Empress—who had been trying desperately to maintain order—sink deeper into their seats, their expressions a mix of horror and resignation. The entire room was teetering on the brink of an international incident.
And then… you spotted it.
A little green wisp, barely visible, flitting through the air right around where the prince had been standing before his magnificent face-plant.
You glanced toward Malleus, who was sitting beside you, looking perfectly composed, save for the faintest glimmer of amusement in his eyes. Beside him, Lilia gave you a knowing wink, his mischievous grin unmistakable.
They caused this.
Within moments, the decision was made: the first prince was officially removed as heir to the throne. His younger brother, the second prince—who had always been calm, composed, and infinitely more capable—was declared the new Crown Prince.
It was glorious.
But before you could celebrate, the first prince turned toward you, his expression sour and filled with desperation. "You—" he began, as if about to drag you into his misery.
Not today, prince.
Finally given the chance to reject him properly, you rose from your seat, letting out a long, exaggerated sigh as you faced him.
“I’ve been waiting so long to say this,” you began, crossing your arms and locking eyes with him. “I reject you. Completely. Wholly. Utterly. There is not a single fiber in my being that has ever been remotely interested in you. In fact, the only thing that’s ever kept me in proximity to you was the sheer necessity of survival.”
The first prince’s mouth opened, but you weren’t done.
“Remember all those times you made those comments about my ‘station’ and how ‘lucky’ I was to be considered by you?” you said, raising an eyebrow. “I didn’t say anything back then because I was too polite, but now? No thanks. Absolutely not. I would rather spend a century in the swamps than a minute more listening to you.”
Sebek, of all people, burst into laughter. “She’s got a point!” he managed between snickers. Lilia was grinning from ear to ear, his eyes twinkling in amusement, and Silver, barely awake, gave a lazy thumbs-up in support.
Malleus, meanwhile, looked positively enchanted. His eyes sparkled as he watched you lay into the former prince, pride and affection written all over his face. When you were done, he leaned toward you, murmuring with a soft smile, “I do love seeing you stand up for yourself.”
The first prince, his face red with humiliation, stammered, “You can’t speak to me like that!”
“Oh, but I just did,” you replied with a sweet smile. “And you know what? It felt amazing.”
With that, the first prince slunk away, his tail metaphorically between his legs, while the room buzzed with whispered laughter. Even the Beastmen, who had been ready to rip the prince to shreds, seemed satisfied.
You had never felt more victorious. Malleus looked at you with such adoration, and Lilia… well, Lilia looked like he was already planning his next round of mischief.
It was a good day.
The festival was going about as smoothly as a cat in a bathtub. You were trying to act like you weren’t hopelessly entangled with the most dangerously attractive fae prince in existence, while also managing to survive the company of your absurd entourage.
Sebek was marching around, loudly reminding anyone within earshot of his unwavering devotion to Lord Malleus. His eyes would dart to you occasionally, like he was calculating whether you were worthy of being in the same airspace as his revered master. Silver, half-asleep, was keeping one lazy yet disturbingly sharp eye on you, while Lilia was in his element—practically vibrating with amusement, like he was waiting for you to trip and fall into a cauldron of chaos.
And then there was the Hero Knight. This guy had shown up uninvited, all shiny armor and noble delusions, insisting he protect you from… something? Yourself? Malleus? Winning too many festival games?
“Are you sure you’re safe?” the Hero Knight asked, sidling up far too close, his voice a conspiratorial whisper. “I’ve heard stories about these fae festivals. One wrong step, and you’ll be cursed to dance for a hundred years, or worse—turned into a tree.”
You squinted at him. “Right. I’ll make sure to avoid the face-painting booth. Wouldn’t want to end up as a shrub for eternity.”
Malleus, ever patient, simply raised an eyebrow, as if contemplating whether this so-called Hero Knight was worth the oxygen he was breathing. Lilia, meanwhile, was biting his lip to stop from laughing.
But then, amid your rising frustration, you spotted it: the holy grail of festival prizes. The gargoyle plushie.
It wasn’t just any gargoyle plushie. It was perfect. Chunky, with tiny wings and a slightly disgruntled expression, it radiated the exact energy you associated with Malleus—regal, intimidating, yet somehow huggable.
You pointed at it like you’d just discovered a hidden treasure. “I need that.”
Malleus, ever-attentive, followed your gaze and smiled softly. “Do you desire the gargoyle?”
“Obviously! It’s basically you in plushie form,” you said, already walking toward the game stall. “But, you know, it’s rigged. All festival games are.”
Malleus watched you with his trademark elegant amusement. “Perhaps I can—”
“No, no,” you interrupted, raising a hand. “I’m winning this fair and square. No fae magic, no dragon lord intervention. Just pure skill.”
You grabbed the darts, took a deep breath, and began your assault on the rigged game. It wasn’t easy. The darts bounced, the targets mocked you, and you could feel the Hero Knight hovering over your shoulder like a bad itch.
“Are you sure this is wise?” the Hero Knight asked again, his voice dripping with concern. “This feels like a trap. What if they’ve enchanted the darts? What if—”
You whirled on him, fed up. “Listen, Sir Gallant-with-too-much-hair-gel, it’s a dart game. Not an assassination plot. If I can survive dealing with you, I think I can handle a few rigged targets.”
Lilia absolutely lost it. He doubled over, wheezing in laughter, while Silver let out an amused snort. Even Sebek looked like he was struggling not to smirk, though he quickly composed himself.
Malleus, ever regal, simply smiled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “I have faith in your abilities, my dear.”
Fueled by that comment—and the knowledge that the Hero Knight was slowly losing what remained of his dignity—you managed to hit the final target. The plushie was yours.
Triumphantly, you grabbed the gargoyle and turned to Malleus. “For you.”
Malleus, to your utter delight, looked genuinely touched. His eyes softened, and that rare, warm smile appeared. “You won this for me?”
“Obviously,” you said, trying not to melt under his gaze. “A prince should have his own gargoyle.”
Silver, who had been observing the entire scene with increasing clarity despite his usual drowsiness, raised an eyebrow. “Interesting.”
Sebek, who was still processing the fact that you’d just casually given his lord a gargoyle plushie, grunted. “You… you truly care for Lord Malleus.”
Before you could say anything, the Hero Knight, still floundering, piped up. “Well, I could’ve won that gargoyle too, you know. If you wanted to—”
“Oh, please,” you cut him off, turning to the Knight. “You probably would’ve asked the stall vendor to throw in a manual on ‘How to Not Be a Total Wet Blanket at Festivals.’”
Lilia nearly collapsed. “Oh, please stop—I can’t—” he gasped, clearly having the time of his life.
You waved him off and turned back to Malleus, who was still holding the plushie with the same reverence one might reserve for an ancient relic. “Shall we continue?”
Next up was a couple’s game. You had no intention of participating—until you noticed the Hero Knight gearing up to suggest that he join in to protect you. Oh no. Not today. You grabbed Malleus’ arm and dragged him into the game, completely ignoring the Knight’s sputtering objections.
“It’s… it’s traditionally for couples…” Silver noted, giving you a look that clearly said, I see what’s happening here.
You ignored him too.
The game was simple enough: throw rings onto bottles, but for some reason, the tension was palpable. Probably because you were standing next to one of the most powerful beings in existence, and you’d dragged him into a ridiculous couples’ game in front of his overly protective retinue.
But you won. And to rub salt in the Hero Knight’s ego, you fed Malleus one of the sweets you’d won.
“Y-You!” Sebek spluttered, looking as though you’d just committed the highest treason against decorum. “Feeding Lord Malleus… this… this is too much!”
The Hero Knight, on the other hand, looked utterly baffled. “Are you… are you sure that’s safe? What if the sweets are—”
“I swear, if you don’t stop, I’m going to feed you to the fairies,” you hissed, snapping the sweet in half and popping it into Malleus’ mouth. He smiled as he ate it, clearly enjoying himself.
By the time the fireworks started, you had somehow survived the night without murdering the Hero Knight. The sky exploded in a kaleidoscope of colors, and for a brief moment, it was peaceful.
And then, without thinking, you kissed Malleus.
There was a split second of stunned silence. And then all hell broke loose.
Sebek let out a screech that could rival a banshee. “My Lord! My Lord!” His voice cracked in disbelief, but then—surprisingly—he softened. “If… If Lord Malleus must fall for a human, I am glad it is someone… as devoted as you. My lady.”
You looked at him, touched. “Thank you, Sebek.”
Silver gave a rare smile, looking both amused and resigned. “Congratulations. You’ve managed to pull this off somehow.”
Lilia, predictably, was still dying of laughter, barely able to breathe between fits of wheezing.
And the Hero Knight? He looked like someone had just told him vampires were real and lived next door. “This… I… What…?”
You turned to him with a smile that could cut steel. “Oh, don’t look so surprised. I’ve been trying to tell you for months that I wasn’t interested. I’d rather kiss a gargoyle than you—actually, no. The gargoyle’s got more charm. Better conversation skills too.”
Lilia was full-on cackling now, leaning against a festival stall for support as the Hero Knight’s dignity shriveled up into nothingness.
Malleus, looking absolutely radiant, wrapped an arm around your waist. “Shall we depart? I believe we have a kingdom to return to.”
The next day, you stood with Malleus and his merry band of chaos, bidding farewell to your parents and butler. The Duke was still recovering from the heart attack Malleus had given him when he asked for your hand in courtship.
As you waved to your family, Malleus gently took your hand, leading you toward the carriage that would take you to Briar Valley.
“Well,” you muttered as you glanced back one last time, “this story of mine took a weird turn.”
Lilia, still grinning like a fiend, chimed in. “Oh, just wait until the sequel.”
The last thing you heard as the carriage rolled away was the Hero Knight muttering in the distance, “I could’ve won that gargoyle…”
You smiled. Maybe the webnovel wasn’t such a disaster after all.
Ahh I hope y'all like this one, malleus is one of my favs and I had so much fun writing him.
The Kalim one is being edited because it's a little too somber for me and I wanna make it a little more fun and Azul one is almost fully edited too!
So, here's a poll for the one after these. (They'll all get a turn)

I love your writing, it's really tasty! Here's a fun idea for Genshin characters! (Maybe Diluc, Wriothesely, Albedo?) The reader doesn't speak the same language as them (maybe they've been isekakai'd and the world logic is unruly) and is sorta been following them around for a bit as a companion, helping them with stuff or whatever
But the two are slowly falling in love because actions speak louder than words, right? Maybe reader one-day is trying hard to learn some phrases and unwittingly says 'i I love you'
Lost in Translation
Tags: Diluc x Reader, Wriosthesley x Reader, Albedo x Reader, Fluff, Slow Burn, Mutual Pining, Language Barrier, Miscommunication, Isekai’d!Reader, Acts of Service as Love Language, Established Trust, Soft Romance.
Warnings: Mild Emotional Tension, Accidental Confession, Subtle Romantic Gestures (Hand-holding, Forehead Taps, Lingering Touches), Some Ambiguous Intentions, Reader May Feel Confused Due to Language Barrier.

You had been following Diluc around for some time now, helping him at Dawn Winery however you could. Though the two of you didn’t share a common language, you found other ways to communicate—gestures, expressions, and sometimes even just handing him things when he needed them before he could ask.
At first, he was distant, but over time, his gaze softened whenever he looked at you. The way you diligently followed him, helping in small ways—bringing him a towel after he trained, setting a warm drink beside him when he worked late—he couldn’t help but grow fond of you.
One evening, after a long day, you sat across from him in the winery. You had been practicing Mondstadtian phrases for a while, determined to communicate with him better.
Diluc raised an eyebrow when you took a deep breath and spoke, a bit hesitantly, “I… love you.”
His fingers stilled against the wine glass he was holding, eyes widening slightly.
You, unaware of the impact of your words, beamed at him, proud of yourself. “Did… I say it right?”
Diluc exhaled, setting his glass down carefully before leaning toward you. His voice was lower than usual, tinged with something you couldn’t quite name.
“Yes,” he murmured, gaze never leaving yours. “You said it perfectly.”
And when his hand reached across the table to brush against yours, his warmth lingered long after.

Life in the Fortress of Meropide was strange, but Wriothesley had taken you under his wing, in a way. Even though you didn’t speak the same language, you proved useful—helping out with tasks around the office, bringing him tea when he looked exhausted, even stepping in to stop him from overworking himself.
At first, he thought it was amusing. You’d try to communicate with him, waving your hands around and making exaggerated expressions. Over time, though, he found himself relying on your presence more than he expected.
One day, you sat in front of him, face scrunched up in concentration as you held a small notebook. You had been trying to learn his language, and he found it adorable.
With a determined nod, you looked up at him and, in a carefully practiced tone, said, “I love you.”
Wriothesley froze. The usual easygoing expression slipped from his face, replaced by something unreadable.
You tilted your head, confused by his reaction. Had you said it wrong?
A low chuckle rumbled from his chest as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk. “Do you know what you just said?”
You blinked. “Did… I say it wrong?”
He smirked, reaching out to tap your forehead gently with two fingers. “No. You said it just right.”
Your confusion deepened until he took your hand in his, thumb brushing against your knuckles. “I should warn you, though—saying things like that might make someone fall for you.”
You still weren’t entirely sure what he meant, but the way his fingers lingered on yours made your heart race all the same.

Albedo was fascinated by you. The fact that you came from another world, spoke a language he didn’t understand, and yet somehow managed to communicate with him so effortlessly—it intrigued him.
You spent your days in Dragonspine, assisting him in small ways—handing him vials before he even reached for them, sketching alongside him, warming his fingers with your own when they grew too cold.
Though words failed you, actions never did.
One day, he caught you in his research tent, scribbling furiously in your notebook. When you noticed him, you perked up, cleared your throat, and in slow, careful pronunciation, said, “I love you.”
Albedo’s eyes widened just slightly, his usual composed demeanor faltering for the briefest moment. He set his quill down, stepping closer to you.
“Do you understand what you just said?” he asked, voice impossibly soft.
You hesitated. Had you messed up?
Seeing your uncertainty, Albedo smiled—gently, fondly. He reached out, tracing a gloved finger along your wrist before taking your hand in his.
“In my language,” he murmured, “that phrase means something very important.”
Your heart pounded as he brought your hand to his lips, pressing the lightest of kisses against your knuckles.
“And if you truly meant it,” he continued, meeting your eyes, “then allow me to say it in return—I love you, too.”

Hi hi, I read your lucky egg yuan x reader and thought a bond system was super creative!! So I have a request!!
Can I request a streamer/general Jing yuan playing an otome game where you/the reader are one of the love interests? And he was absolutely obsessed with character!reader that he’d literally drop so much money on the game, but one day, after maybe a poisoning incident, he ends up isekai’d into said otome game. Reader has a favoribility bar and everything and he does all the quests to raise your bar 🤭🤭. And and! If a love interest hits 100% favoribility in the game, they go yandere so maybe a bit of soft yan y/n?
It would also be super interesting to see yuan scheme everything cuz of his big brain 😌😌
I hope you have a good day and stay hydrated!!!

𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠… 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫.
[𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙤𝙣] Chat: — "Jing Yuan, you’re literally broke because of this game." — "BRO JUST DATE A REAL PERSON." — "He’s already too far gone… let him be." — "Who’s your bias again? (Not that we don’t know lol)." — "Watch him go straight to Y/N and ignore all the others."
The chat scrolled at breakneck speed, but Jing Yuan barely paid attention, his fingers already navigating past the main menu. His voice was smooth, teasing, as he leaned closer to the mic.
“Come now, you all know the answer to that” his lips curling into a smirk. His stream setup was pristine—dual monitors casting a cool glow over his silver hair, the dim lighting making his golden eyes gleam.
The title screen of Astral Regnum shimmered before him, revealing the stunning artwork of the heroes of the kingdom. But his gaze, as always, honed in on the one he cared about most. You.
Chat: — "Damn, he didn’t even LOOK at them LMAO." — "He’s speedrunning a 2D romance with Y/N." — "NPCs crying in the corner."
Jing Yuan chuckled, skipping past the banners of the other love interests like they were mere background noise. “Why waste time?” His voice dipped lower, fond. “Y/N is the only one that matters.”
A swordmaster. A warrior feared on the battlefield, but with a heart that only opened to those they deemed worthy. In the game’s lore, [Y/N] was the blade of the Astral Regnum heroes—a relentless force of nature, cutting down enemies with precision. And yet, their favorability system was notoriously difficult.
That only made it more satisfying when he raised it.
He knew what you liked. What you hated. Every hidden event, every dialogue choice that made your heart skip.
And he had spent—How much money again? He didn’t care.
Tonight, he was going to hit the final 100%.
With a flick of his wrist, he loaded his save file—the one where his favorability with you was already in the high 90s.
The screen faded to black.
…A sharp knock at the door.
Jing Yuan blinked, momentarily snapping out of his immersion. Who the hell—?
His chat reacted instantly.
Chat: — "Uh oh, debt collectors?" — "Jing Yuan’s about to get isekai’d, watch." — "Bet it’s his manager coming to stop his spending spree."
With a lazy sigh, he muted the mic and pushed his chair back. He had just reached for the door when a strange, sharp scent flooded his senses.
His vision blurred.
The last thing he saw was the game screen still glowing on his monitor, your character’s sprite standing there, waiting.
𝐋𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝…
The first thing he felt was the cold, the way it bit into his skin—so vivid, so unlike the temperature-controlled room he had been in just moments ago. His ears rang with the echo of distant battle cries, the clash of steel, the unmistakable scent of blood.
Jing Yuan opened his eyes. His smirk returned instantly.
He knew exactly where he was.
Above him, the skies of Astral Regnum stretched endlessly, clouds tinged red by the fires of war.
“…I really hit the jackpot, didn’t I?”
A shadow moved in his peripheral vision. He turned just in time to see you- covered in blood, battle-worn eyes feral with focus. Your sword pointed straight at him.
Jing Yuan had always admired you— your presence, your unwavering strength. But seeing you in the flesh, drenched in blood with the weight of battle in your stance?
It was exhilarating.
The tip of your sword hovered just inches from his throat, gleaming under the eerie glow of magic-infused flames.
“Identify yourself.”
Jing Yuan barely resisted the urge to grin. Even in the game, you never trusted strangers easily—it was one of the many things that had made raising your favorability so difficult.
But unlike his first playthrough, he didn’t need to fumble through dialogue choices or waste time figuring out what worked.
He already knew exactly what to do.
He lifted his hands in mock surrender, keeping his posture relaxed despite the threat at his throat. “Ah, forgive me. I seem to have found myself in the middle of a battlefield, and I’d rather not lose my head before I’ve even introduced myself.”
Your eyes narrowed, scanning him like a predator sizing up prey. He knew you were analyzing everything—his stance, his expression, any hint of deception.
Chat would’ve gone wild seeing this. Too bad they weren’t here.
“…You’re not dressed like a soldier” you noted, your grip on the hilt still firm.
He wasn’t. The clothes he wore were a mix of modern and fantasy—game mechanics at work, likely adjusting his form to fit the world. He still had his signature robes, but now they looked more battle-worn, reforged in Astral Regnum’s style.
“Observant, as expected” he mused. “I’m not part of any faction. Just a traveler who seems to have ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Your expression remained unreadable, but the fact that you hadn’t killed him on the spot meant he had already passed the first test.
“Captain!” A voice called from the distance. A scout.
Jing Yuan watched as your gaze flickered between him and the approaching soldier. You had a decision to make—cut him down now, or deal with him later?
The game’s mechanics dictated that you wouldn’t kill someone outright if they weren’t confirmed as a threat. That much, he remembered.
“Tie him up” you ordered.
Jing Yuan barely bit back a chuckle as rough hands grabbed his arms, binding his wrists.
Oh we're doing this route? How fun.
“Smart choice he murmured as your men hauled him up. “But I do wonder… how long will you be able to keep me restrained?”
You didn’t answer. You only turned your back on him, leading the way toward your war camp.
He didn’t mind starting as a prisoner.
After all— He was still going to reach 100%.
----
Jing Yuan sat calmly, bound at the wrists, as the flickering glow of firelight cast shifting shadows across the war tent. Soldiers bustled outside, sharpening blades, murmuring strategies, unaware that the man they had just captured knew more about their war than they did.
It was strange watching everything unfold in real-time.
Even stranger was seeing you like this—not through a screen, but right in front of him. The real you, expression unreadable as you stood by a large map, analyzing war strategies.
A part of him wanted to watch forever.
But that wasn’t the plan.
You finally turned your gaze to him, those sharp eyes glinting under the lantern light. “You don’t seem particularly concerned about your situation.”
Jing Yuan gave a lazy smile. “Should I be?”
Your soldiers shifted uncomfortably, but you merely crossed your arms. “You’re suspicious. You’re too well-groomed for a lost traveler, and you don’t have the look of a mercenary. Are you a spy?”
“No,... But I might be useful to you.”
One of your officers scoffed. “You expect us to believe that?”
“I expect your Captain to consider it.” His gaze remained on you. “You wouldn’t have kept me alive if you didn’t at least think there was value in hearing me out.”
You didn’t deny it. You're still the same, that calculative and careful one. And yet strangely soft toward those who prove their worth.
He could work with that.
“…Fine” you finally said, tone measured. “You’ll stay here under guard. Prove your worth, or you’ll regret it.”
Jing Yuan chuckled, flexing his fingers slightly. “I thought you weren't the type to threat-”
“Don't test me.”
The chains around Jing Yuan’s wrists weren’t tight enough to hurt, but they were a firm reminder—he was not trusted.
But that was fine.
Because trust could be built.
He watched as you dismissed your soldiers one by one, your fingers ghosting over the map on the table. The battlefield was shifting, and you were at the center of it.
Jing Yuan had watched countless cutscenes of you strategizing like this, studying every small movement, every sharp-eyed decision. But seeing it in person was entirely different.
“You’re staring” you muttered without looking up.
Jing Yuan chuckled. “Nothing, I was just thinking.”
Finally, you glanced at him, arms crossed. “About what?”
“That I can help you win.”
“Oh? And why would a ‘lost traveler’ know anything about war?”
Jing Yuan leaned forward slightly, “Because I know your enemies better than they know themselves.”
That caught your attention.
“Go on”
“Your next battle is in three days. Your enemies will try to flank from the west, but their supplies are running thin. If you push them into a defensive position before they can regroup, you’ll win with minimal casualties.”
“And how exactly would you know that?”
Jing Yuan’s smile didn’t waver. “Does it matter?”
“Fine, I'll test your theory.”
If you followed his strategy, he’d prove his worth.
And when you won?
You’d start to trust him.
The war camp was quieter than usual. Outside, soldiers murmured in low voices, preparing for the upcoming battle.
Jing Yuan stood a few feet away, his hands still bound, watching you with a patient smile.
Just as he was about to speak, the tent flap rustled.
"You're still awake?"
Jing Yuan's smile faltered for the briefest second as another figure stepped inside—one of your close friends. They walked in casually, eyes flickering to Jing Yuan before turning back to you.
Jing Yuan had seen them before, an important side character, someone who frequently appeared in your storyline. But now that he was here, living in this world, they felt like a nuisance.
"I'm reviewing the battle plans again" you replied, rubbing your temples. Your friend sighed, stepping beside you.
"You should rest. You've been at this all day."
Jing Yuan watched as they reached forward, lightly flicking your forehead in a playful manner.
He had never liked this character, even when he played the game. They always lingered too close, always made you smile in ways that should have been reserved for him.
But now?
Now, he was right here, watching them steal your attention.
He could see the way you relaxed around them, how comfortable you were. He knew it was natural—you had a long history together in the game. But that didn’t stop the quiet frustration from simmering beneath his skin.
That should be him.
Jing Yuan let out a soft chuckle, stepping forward slightly, just enough to make his presence known.
“You know,” he mused, tilting his head, “for someone so concerned about their commander’s well-being, you don’t seem too worried about distracting them.”
Your friend raised an eyebrow. “And you are?”
Jing Yuan’s smile didn’t waver. “An observer.” He let his gaze linger on your friend a little too long before shifting back to you. “Besides, I don’t think they need to be reminded to rest. They know their limits.”
You let out an amused exhale. “You talk as if you’ve known me for a long time.”
“I just have good instincts.”
Your friend didn’t seem convinced, but they let it slide, instead turning back to you.
Jing Yuan barely heard what they said next. His focus was elsewhere—on the small details.
The way they leaned in when they spoke. The way you didn’t pull away. The way your voice softened, just slightly, in response.
He didn't like it.
But he wouldn’t show it.
----
Jing Yuan was a strategist. Whether in the real world or in this one, he always played to win. Now, you were real. And he would ensure that he was the only one who mattered to you.
The game had always emphasized that actions mattered more than words.
So he made sure every move he made left an impression.
He cooked for you when you were too exhausted after training.
He tended to the wounded, proving he wasn’t just a fighter but someone who cared.
He trained with your soldiers, earning their respect.
He always stayed one step behind you, never overstepping—but never too far away.
And every time you hesitated, every time you looked at him as more than just an outsider, his favorability bar climbed.
[ +15 Favorability ] [ +5 Favorability ] [ +20 Favorability ]
It was slow, steady, but inevitable.
Sure he had made mistakes. Like that one moment where he didn't take your concerns seriously.
"Something’s off about this place" you had murmured, scanning the area. "Maybe, but worrying too much causes wrinkles."
You shot him a look. "Remind me why I even talk to you?"
He laughed. "Because you like me."
At that moment? Not so much. [-15 Favorability]
Or that other time when he was overconfident.
"You should fall back. I’ll handle the rest."
You had scoffed, annoyed. "I don’t need you to protect me."
He shrugged. "Still, wouldn’t want you to get hurt—"
You ignored him and struck the final blow yourself. [-20 Favorability]
Still, everything was carefully choreographed—down to the smallest details. And every time you acknowledged him, every time your gaze lingered just a second longer than before, he knew—
Your favorability bar ticked up.
[ +5 Favorability ] [ +10 Favorability ]
Jing Yuan was patient. But patience had its limits.
When another comrade slung an arm over your shoulder, laughing too freely—his grip on his sword tightened.
When someone dared to flirt with you, his golden eyes flickered with an emotion no one caught.
When you smiled at someone else with the same warmth you gave him, a quiet hum left his lips.
For now, he could hold back.
Because soon, it wouldn’t matter.
Because soon, you wouldn’t even look at anyone else.
----
Jing Yuan never gambled. Because every move has its purpose.
And right now—
Your favorability stood at 75%
It was a beautiful number. But it wasn’t enough.
So, he prepared.
𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞: 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠...
The system had always been a passive observer. A tool meant to track your feelings, your reactions, your downfall into love.
But today, it would be more than that.
Today, it would be his weapon.
—— Favorability Shop Opened. Current Balance: [Unlimited] Recommended Purchases:
1️⃣ [Memory Trigger Perfume] – A fragrance designed to evoke past emotions and subconscious attachments. [50,000 pts] 2️⃣ [Heroic Crisis Event] – An orchestrated situation where the player can prove their devotion to the target. [100,000 pts] 3️⃣ [Lingerie Set??? ] – Also a valid strategy.... [25,000 pts] ——
Jing Yuan exhaled slowly, amusement flickering in his gaze as he scrolled past the last item.
I'll save that for later.
For now—he bought the first two.
The memory trigger
The next time you saw him, the scent was already on him.
It wasn’t overwhelming. Just a faint trace. Familiar.
You frowned slightly. “What is that smell?”
Jing Yuan feigned confusion. “Does it bother you?”
“No, it’s just…” You hesitated. Something nagged at you. Something you couldn’t quite grasp.
It reminded you of safety. A feeling you had lost.
And deep down, your heart tightened.
“Maybe you’ve smelled it before” he mused, watching you struggle. “Maybe… it’s something important to you.”
You didn’t respond.
But later that night—long after he had left—you found yourself missing it.
And just like that, your favorability rose to 80%
The Heroic Crisis
Jing Yuan knew you were strong. You didn’t need a savior. You could protect yourself. But even strong people had moments of weakness.
And he was going to be there when it happened.
So, when the system triggered the attack, everything was perfect.
Your instincts kicked in immediately. You dodged, countered, struck back.
But the moment you faltered—
Jing Yuan was there.
His blade met theirs. His body shielded yours.
Blood dripped from his arm, but he barely noticed. His eyes stayed on you.
And then, as if in a trance, your lips parted.
“Jing Yuan…”
Your favorability skyrocketed.
90%.
95%.
----
The fire crackled softly, flickering between the two of you. It wasn’t often that you got quiet moments like this. No battles. Just peace.
And strangely—you didn’t mind his presence.
Jing Yuan sat across from you, his white hair slightly tousled from the night breeze.
“Is there something on my face?”
“N-No..Nothing”
“Then why are you staring?”
“I'm not!”
He chuckled. “Not that I mind.”
You scoffed and looked away, but you didn’t deny it. Truth was.. this felt nice.
Jing Yuan stretched his arms behind his head, letting out a content sigh. “You know, this is rare.”
You glanced at him. “What is?”
He smiled lazily. “Seeing you relaxed.”
“I like it.” His voice was quieter this time. “I like seeing you like this.”
Jing Yuan had always been playful, unpredictable. But tonight—his gaze was softer.
And something inside you stirred.
You cleared your throat, shifting slightly. “It’s... nice.”
“Then let’s have more nights like this.”
Your heart skipped. That's not a bad idea.
----
Jing Yuan knew, step by step, you were falling.
Not yet—not completely. But you were softening.
And tonight, he was going to make sure you fell just a little bit more.
The town was lively even in the late hours. Lanterns swayed overhead, casting warm golden hues over the bustling streets. You walked beside Jing Yuan, carrying a small pouch of supplies for your next journey.
It had been his idea to take a detour here. A little break from the usual battles, something about “enjoying the little things.”
But just as you passed by a fruit stall—
“Hey—!”
You barely registered the blur of motion before your pouch was yanked from your grasp.
A small, ragged figure darted through the crowd, slipping between merchants and customers like a shadow.
Jing Yuan reacted immediately.
“Stay close.”
Then he moved.
You both weaved through the market, dodging carts and startled pedestrians. The thief was fast, but you were faster.
“Persistent little one, aren’t they?”
You didn’t waste breath responding—just focused on cutting off the escape.
And then—a dead end.
The thief skidded to a stop in a dimly lit alleyway, chest heaving.
A boy, no older than ten. Grimy, thin and desperate.
Your pouch dangled from his shaking grip.
Behind him, three younger kids peeked out from behind broken crates, their eyes wide with fear.
He wasn’t stealing for himself. He was trying to feed them.
You felt something in your chest tighten.
Jing Yuan stepped forward—not in anger, but with a sigh.
“Stealing is a bad habit, you know?” His voice was light, almost teasing. “But... I suppose sometimes, there’s no other choice.”
The boy flinched, hugging the pouch close.
“Please...” he whispered. “I—It’s for them.”
Then, to your surprise, he pulled out his own pouch and tossed it to the ground. The coins inside jingled.
“Go buy food” he said simply. “Real food. Not stolen.”
The boy’s eyes darted between the pouch and Jing Yuan, as if expecting some cruel trick.
“You... you mean it?”
Jing Yuan chuckled, ruffling his own hair. “I’m not heartless, you know.”
You stared at him.
The boy hesitated before dropping your pouch and taking Jing Yuan’s instead. Then, with a quick bow, he grabbed the younger kids’ hands and ran.
Silence stretched between you two as you picked up your pouch.
Jing Yuan smiled, tucking his hands behind his head. “Well, that was fun.”
You exhaled, shaking your head. “You’re impossible.”
He grinned. “Handsome too, right?”
You rolled your eyes—but your heart wasn’t in it.
Because for all his teasing and laziness—Jing Yuan was... kind.
And when he turned to you, golden eyes glinting under the lantern lights—
98%
Almost there.
100%
A quiet chime echoed in the back of Jing Yuan’s mind.
It's done.
You belong to me now.
The favorability bar had maxed out, but he wasn’t foolish enough to expect an immediate, dramatic change. No, your obsession was something that would seep in—gentle, like ink bleeding through parchment.
And oh... he couldn’t wait to see it unfold.
----
The battlefield was long behind you. The mission had gone well, leaving only exhaustion and the quiet hum of victory. Now, beneath the vast night sky, a small fire flickered between you and Jing Yuan.
For once, the silence between you was... comfortable.
He leaned back, arms folded behind his head, watching you.
Watching you watch him.
There was a difference in the way you looked at him now. Before, your gaze was wary—guarded, even when amused.
But now?
Now, your eyes lingered.
His lips curved. “Something on your mind?”
You blinked, but instead of denying it, you simply tilted your head. “You’re... a good person.”
His amusement deepened as he sat up slightly, propping his chin on his hand. “Is that so?”
You hummed in response, shifting closer—not much, just enough that the warmth of the fire wasn’t the only heat between you.
And then—you touched him.
Your fingers brushed against his wrist, tracing the faint scars that lined his skin.
“Y/N...”
Your fingers paused, but your gaze didn’t waver. “I was just thinking.”
“How long do you plan to stay with me?”
His smirk faltered for a brief second.
Then—he chuckled.
“Forever.”
He expected a laugh. A scoff. A shake of the head at his dramatic words.
But instead— You smiled.
“I like that answer” you murmured. “You’d better keep it.”
Something in your tone sent a shiver down his spine.
I like that.
I like that a lot.
He had reached 100%. And he couldn't wait to see how far you both would go.

✧ part one | ✧ part two | ✧ part three | ✧ part four | ✧ part five |more tba.. NAVIGATION
at first, it was the genshin men who wanted you to be transported into their world. you know.. the world you’re familiar with. but somehow albedo’s machine malfunctioned and did the opposite of what it was supposed to do.
it was a normal day, well for the residents of teyvat who were just minding their own business, but not for the men who had gave away nearly all of their mora for albedo’s machine to work.
a very selected few men from each region gathered to mondstadt (sometimes it took a few days for a week to arrive there but they were determined to arrive there faster as they didn’t want to waste time).
kaeya, diluc, venti and albedo from mondstadt gathered were anticipating for the day albedo would put out the news that the machine would finally work. everyday when they had spare time or whenever they could, they would vist albedo in dragonspine and check up on the machine and ask for the good news
if albedo needed anything or needed some mora (or if he needed someone to run errands for him) they would happily oblige, anything for their grace.
zhongli, xiao, baizhu from liyue would anticipate for the news ever since they had gotten the information and letter from albedo himself as well from jean about the machine that would supposedly bring the creator to their world.
they immediately started to help with whatever they could, even travelling to mondstadt to see if there was anything they could help or provide with, if nothing they would stay for however long they could and watch albedo work on it, fiddling with their fingers or twisting their articles of clothing from anticipation, trying to hold back their excitement and joy of finally meeting their creator.
zhongli is one of the few who were your oldest worshippers, in his prime he would sculpt many statues of you, based on what the scripts had described of what the creator looked like and he was sure that it was one his most best work in his lifetime.
zhongli definitely gave albedo all of his mora, not caring if he needed them to buy food to eat, why worry about that when he has something else to prioritise? all he needed was you, to survive.
kazuha, itto, gorou, ayato, heizou and thoma from inazuma was ecstatic at the news of your soon arrival!! they spent their minutes, hours and days filled with excitement and could not focus on anything.
although ayato was calm and collected, there was no denying that deep inside he was freaking out like c’mon? the creator is finally descending? after thousands of years? and they expect him to be calm? no way.
all gave albedo and sucrose their up most help. giving him materials that would only be found in their region and not in mondstadt, for the machine. in their spare time they would fight the enemies and gather whatever they dropped and send it to albedo in the hopes that it would be a major help to the machine (it was and albedo sent his thanks in a letter).
cyno, al-haitham, kaveh, wanderer and tighnari from sumeru was shocked to say the least, at first they were wary of the news. i mean of course they believed in you, and the story of your descent but at the same time how could they trust this.. albedo person? but after getting the letter inviting them to dragonspine to see the machine for themselves and to see his blueprints, notes and so on, they agreed and once arriving, they definitely believed him.
after confirming that everything was real, they began to team up with albedo (if he allowed them but albedo was more than happy for some help as he was getting tired just from doing majority of the things with sucrose..) and helping him. kaveh was an architect so he helped albedo with the model of the machine and with al-haithams, tighnari and wanderer’s knowledge they began to make the machine more safe and reliable.
they’re all very happy and overjoyed knowing that soon they will bring their creator back to where they belong, just knowing the fact that they will soon be able to see and witness their grace in their glory and flesh was everything.
lyney, neuvillette, wriothesley, freminet and aether from fontaine was more than ecstatic upon hearing the news. lyney started to practise more with his magic tricks, trying to add more action and more of the surprise factor in his tricks so that he could impress you and hear you praise him.
neuvillette almost cried tears of joy (and flooded fontaine) at the letter albedo sent to him. just looking at the sentence “we will be able to see our grace soon, please help in anyway you can.” made his eyes water.
he started to mentally and physically prepare himself for your arrival, making sure to look his best and presentable, while also preparing for how he would greet you. a bow would do- no.. a bow where his forehead touched the ground, yes, that will do. he couldn’t wait for your arrival (even explaining to the very excited melusines too about his profound love and adoration for you).
neuvillette admired you from hundreds of years ago, hearing your stories and heroic acts made him fall more in love with you. he goes to your temple (that he made by himself) and prays every day before going to bed.
wriothesley, freminet and aether on the other hand was more calm although nervous at the same time. wriothesley (and everyone else) had heard many great stories about you, the great power you hold like no other, your kindness, your hospitality, your beauty—everything. so there was nothing else he wanted than to witness you in the flesh, although he is scared what your beauty may blind him.
aether is also anticipating your arrival, when he was younger his parents would tell him the great stories about you and how the elements came about, not only that but he has a hunch that you could possibly help him find his sister, no.. he’s positive you will.
and from the other regions, childe, capitano, dottore, pantalone, pierro and dainsleif were almost going batshit crazy once word spread that the creator was going to be teleported into their world from albedo’s machine. dainsleif could feel it in him, he could feel the shift in teyvat, the way the trees and nature around him started to be more responsive and grow more large and.. prettier?
the fatui had paused all of their plans and focused soley on you, their creator. they wanted to make sure that the archons or anyone else doesn’t reach you but.. that would be diffcult considering that a non fatui was creating this machine along with the help with so many different people from different regions.
they had always worshipped you and was hopelessly devoted to you, giving you gifts right below your statue, sometimes even ranting to you about their problems and how the archons were absolutely useless.
dainsleif was.. consumed with many emotions. he believed that he was one of your most devoted and the most loyal of them all followers. he believed that your word was law and whatever you ordered him to do or whatever order you give to anyone, they should obey. and if not he would love nothing more than to deal with them, anything for you.
altogether, they all (reluctantly cough cough the fatui, diluc, tighnari and wanderer cough cough) helped cooperate with bringing you back to the world you belong in, giving albedo thousands and millions of mora, any material from their home region, their support and so on. that was how devoted they were to you.
and finally, the day albedo and sucrose sent out all of letters telling them that the machine was ready, everybody came scurrying to dragonspine, their hearts racing in an inhumane beat, once they all arrived they were swearing BULLETS and albedo offered them all towels since he knew none of them would like to be presented to the almight creator looking… sweaty.
everybody stood around the machine, their eyes shining with excitement and their hearts beating from nervousness, and on the count to three, albedo would turn the notch and whatever came next, well, they would just have to cross their fingers and pray.
“1..”
“2..”
“3..!”
albedo turned the notch on the machine and within a milisecond a bright light had appeared, blinding everyone as they quickly raised their arm to cover their eyes.
some started to cough as smoke filled the room, many yelling in confusion, yelling on top of their lungs if it worked to which no one replied of course, they couldn’t open their eyes nor felt anything different until their bodies started to feel all gooey like they were melting. their vision (despite covering their eyes) was going white, their mind was foggy and they were dizzy.
but after a few seconds they felt better, they felt like they were in a different place, they could sense it.. after waving their hands away to clear the smoke and before they knew it, they were in a totally different room and place. they were inside of a room, not a room from their world, their was unknown technology on a desk that they have never seen before. there was unknown stuff all around them.
they all looked around in confusion, taking in everything. “where are we?” “what is this place” “are we going to meet our grace?”
suddenly, zhongli spotted someone on the bed, sleeping calmly despite all of the ruckus they had caused. zhongli shushed everybody to which some scowled at (wanderer mainly) and before they could argue back, he pointed at you.
pointing at the sleeping figure on the bed wanderer immediately shut his mouth. it was dark so they couldn’t make out your face but no worries! your phone just lit up and everybody looked at it, curious at the light device. kazuha paid no mind to it and grabbed the strange device before shining it on your face. his breath hitched, stumbling back just a bit.
everybody else looked at your face and was stunned. their voice caught in their throats as they finally, finally saw you, their grace.
your beauty was like no other, even the little drool seeping out of the corner of your lips were adorable!
some started to sob quietly, too overwhelmed with their feelings and with the fact that they just saw their creator (neuvillette, lyney, childe and zhongli a little bit..). while everyone else was murmuring under their breaths about what they should do, you were sleepinf peacefully. and everytime you moved in your sleep everybody would tense up and hold their breaths, scared to wake you up (and scare you in you did).
but after a few minutes you did wake up, to their horror and fascination. you rubbed your eyes and looked around groggily and through the seeping moonlight through your blinds you could make out the many black silhouettes in your room, surrounding you.
freaking out, you held your breath and tried to calm yourself down, telling you that your mind was playing tricks on you but after gulping and turning on your lamp to just reassure you it was nothing, you saw many men surrounding you, wincing at the sudden light.
your jaw dropped before screaming absolute bloody murder, grabbing your pillows and (your poor) plushies and throwing it at the unknown men in your room, closing your eyes shut you prayed to god that this was just a dream when someone spoke.
his voice was dreamy and so soft although deep, like silk. it flowed smoothly like running water.
“are you alright, your grace?”
your what? opening your eyes, you could see that some of the men were grabbing a hold of your plushies while some were on the floor, meaning some did get hid while some others didn’t.
wait a minute.. as you took a closer look at the people you realise that it’s…
“zhongli..?” you mumbled, squinting your eyes to see if it was really him and there was no doubt it was really him. you could see his eyes lighting up, he seemed really happy that you said his name, it was sort of cute.
that was when childe and heizou along with others pushed zhongli, trying to get your attention as they called you their “grace” and acted really really happy to see you.
observing everyone you soon realise that all of these men are all from the very famous game you play—genshin impact. “w-wait a minute.. zhongli-“ you point at him, he nods with a tender smile, you could only smile back nervously, totally unaware of the death glares zhongli was getting.
“heizou, childe, thoma, dainsleif, xiao.. holy crap!” your eyes widen and you hop off your bed, slipping on your slippers are you look at everyone else. “this isn’t real…” you mumbled, holding your head with one of your hands. looking around once more you felt the very intense gazes of the very handsome men staring you down.
your cheeks flushed red as you took in the fact that these handsome men are fighting for your attention, and are literally standing in your room and just.. there!!
walking back into your room, you yank the mattress with all your strength when dainsleif and xiao walked up to you, offering you help to which you shake your head at. “no i’m good, thank you though!”
everybody was waiting patiently for you as you set down the mattress.
“okay.. you guys can sit and sleep there for now.. now tell me what happened. as far as i know you two aren’t from this world, obviously because you are all from genshin impact! you know, the game?”
you said, sitting down on your bed as you watched some of them sit on the mattress while some stood beside the mattress.
they all nodded before albedo spoke. “you see, your grace, we intended to bring you back to our world because that is where you belong—the world you created.” he began, looking into your eyes to look for any reaction.
your eyes widened at his words. “me..?” you said in disbelief. “oh.. uh continue!” albedo continued on.
“and we spent many months working on the machine, and today i had finished it, i called everybody else who are in your room and i turned the notch, and there was blinding light, and then we were in your room.”
you nod your head at his words, taking in the information. “i’m just as confused as you are, your grace.” albedo reassures you, you could only give him a small smile before speaking again.
“listen i’m just.. i’m confused on why you’re you know.. calling me ‘your grace’.. i mean i understand the formalities and all but..”
zhongli and neuvillette raises their brow. “that is because, you are our creator, you created the elements, giving us visions, you carved the very world we live on, teyvat.” zhongli explains.
furrowing your brows, you tried to understand him, you really did but, you just couldn’t imagine yourself doing all of those great things zhongli explained to you.
“listen.. you probably have the wrong person and-“ “no,” everybody whips their towards dainsleif, giving him a scowl for him daring to cut their creator off.
“i can feel like, you are our creator, you.. this feeling you give me, to us, is other worldly, please.. your grace, believe me.”
dainsleif pleads, his eye(s?) staring deep into your soul, begging for you to understand. and to be honest you felt yourself getting lost in his eyes, it was tempting you and… you gave in.
gulping you closed your eyes and sighed. “i-.. fine, i may not believe that i was capable of doing all of those mountain moving stuff but i will.. you know.. just call me y/n.”
all of their eyes widen from surprise. kaveh breaks the mumurs of the men among him. “y-you would give us the honor to call you by your real name? i’m afraid we can no-“
“nuh uh, no need to call me ‘your grace’ anymore, it feels weird being called something so high..” you cut kaveh off and you could hear the collective, audible gasps from around you.
venti, heizou and kaveh (who were standing beside the mattress) basically launched themselves onto you, almost crying from happiness of the fact that you were allowing them to call you by your name.
“oh your grac- no, y/n!! it would be such an honor to call you by your name!” venti cries, hugging your body as heizou and kaveh clinged onto your arms, tears brimming their eyes.
you could only laugh nervously at the sudden affection and pat venti on the back, when you realized that this was a one in a life time experience where you actually meet these handsome (fictional but not anymore) men so you decide to hug venti back, patting his back.
“i-it’s all good venti but uh.. you’re squeezing me a bit too hard..” you managed to get out, tapping him on his arm. venti pulled back and smiled sheepishly. “oops..”
venti, heizou and kaveh got a good scolding from zhongli and dainsleif about jumping on the creator like that.
it was starting to get a bit hot and stuffy in your room so you decided to get up (with kaveh still clinging onto your arm) and walk over to the window and opening it up. feeling the cool breeze hit your face you sighed with satisfaction.
turning back around you saw all men staring right back at you. right.. you still had 23 men in your room. “uh.. so, are you guys thirsty?” you said nervously, offering them a small smile. it was your first time having a guy over at your room let alone 23!!
you don’t even know why you offered them water, you just wanted to ease the awkwardness.
they all nodded and you nod your head, making your way to the door and you could feel them staring holes into the back of your skull.
“i’ll go get some water, i don’t know if i have 23 glasses though..” and as you walked out of your room you could hear many footsteps following behind you, through the hallway and into the kitchen.
sighing, you crouched down to the cabinets and opened it, grabbing as many cups as you can. there was only 10. geez, who knew those “best child in the world” and “best co worker in the world!” would come in handy? you had 5 each, filling each of them up with cold water before passing it to thoma, xiao, neuvillette, wanderer, al-haitham, and a few others.
they were all fighting over who would get the last cup since you held that cup, it was special.
“‘kay, once you’re done drinking just wash and pour another cup for the others okay? here’s the tap and here’s the water jug.” you pointed to the water jug and once they gave you a nod of acknowledgment, you made your way back to the bedroom with zhongli following right behind you.
soon, everybody else came into your room, talking amongst one another. you plopped down on your bed and took a deep breath, taking in everything.
you were sleeping peacefully, woken up to 23 handsome men in your room, threw pillows at them, sat down and talked to them about their situation, offered them water and a place to sleep. yeah.. what a day.
“everything alright, your- y/n? i know it’s a lot to take in i… i want to apologize. is there anything i or we can do to make it up to you?”
turning your head, you faced zhongli and smiled softly. “no, it’s okay, if anything im worried for you guys.. i mean how do you feel? you’re not home anymore and i don’t know how long it’ll be until you guys go back home.”
the men hum and agreement and started to question when they will come back home. that was until neuvillette spoke up.
“but, y/n, we worship you and devote our entire selves for you.. i mean yes we would miss our positions but being with you is much more meaningful.
hm. interesting.. you thought to yourself. they seem very fond and loyal to you. it was cute. yawning, you blinked away your sleepy tears and hummed, making yourself more comfortable in your bed.
“blankets and pillows are in the closet right behind the mattress, make yourself at home..” you mumbled sleepily. “if.. if there’s no more space then you can sleep with me, i can only fit two or three people.”
honestly, who on earth would offer that? but you couldn’t pass this opportunity with these handsome men!! so why not?
everybody’s eyes widen at this offer. some of them scrambling to get onto your bed to sleep by your side, dainsleif, zhongli and neuvillette were pulling back heizou and venti back onto the mattress, knowing they would probably be up to no good next to you.
the ones who managed to get on your bed was childe and xiao, yes, xiao. he wasn’t trying to fight for a spot though (kind of was..) but he accidentally pulled away kaveh instinctively and landed him a spot beside you!!
childe sighed happily and snuggled up close to you, while xiao laid on the bed motionless, it kind of scared you.
“it feels so nice to be by your side y/n~” he mumbled, holding onto your arm, xiao scowled at him—staring daggers at childe. “don’t be so jealous, you’re beside them too you know..”
xiao narrows his eyes before staring up at the ceiling again. even though it was dark you noticed how he seemed to be blushing, was xiao always this cute?
the rest of the men had to sleep on three different mattresses, some even sleeping on the floor because they refused to sleep beside some people. most people ignored itto because he snored, really.. really loudly. he kept you up until 3 am.
you knew you were way too calm when reacting to this situation but then again, you have been a big fan of genshin impact for years now.. and you were crushing on all of them!! you would always wish on the very same bed you’re sharing with childe and xiao, that you could meet them, even if it was in your dreams.
so now that you could actually feel, look and talk to them.. you decided to take this opportunity and try to become as close with them as possible.
even if they have to leave in the end, you want to create many happy memories.

⋆♱⋆YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

WARNINGS: Yandere Behaviors, Drugging, Abuse in form of ‘Training’, Breaking bones.
PAIRINGS: Yandere Hashiras & Yandere Uppermoons x Reader

You’re a fanfic writer who always enjoyed writing deranged yandere bullshit, and a sadistic one at that — you’re always making sure to make your mc’s suffer just because it’s satisfying, and they were never spared from the torturous path you laid out for them.
Little did you know that your grisly storytelling would come back to haunt you, for you ended up getting isekai’d on one of your fanfics, because for some reasons, life decided to be an ass, and the the grim reaper’s scythe whisked you away to the realm of one of your fanfics — and the sensation of being isekai’d into your own creation was disorienting, to say the least.
After all, the very same fanfic that you got reincarnated into was the most disturbing of them all — your yandere kimetsu no yaiba fanfic.
The atrocious acts you've inflicted upon your protagonist are beyond twisted, like seriously fucked up. You didn't just stop at giving them a shitty backstory and psychological trauma — oh no, you cranked it up a notch by tossing in a goddamn harem of yandere nutjobs. These thirsty-as-hell psychos were so off their rockers that they veered straight into bonkers territory, their obsession reaching levels that would make even a deranged serial killer blush.
They were downright bat-shit crazy over the MC, like, borderline certifiable. It was as if the MC was their holy grail, their reason for living.
Not the cute and endearing kind of devotion either; we’re talking hardcore, stalker-level obsession.
The only one who were somewhat less psycho yandereish was Mitsuri... but then there was Obanai, who was a walking danger zone on steroids...
Every damn piece of that twisted fanfic you cooked up is a total shitshow.
Kyojuro went batshit crazy over the MC because they stood up for him against his dickhead of a father. Shinobu turned into a psycho stalker because she couldn't wipe her own ass without the MC's help, resorting to schemes like trying to paralyze and drug them just to keep them on a leash.
Tengen who thought that he could charm the pants off the MC until he got a taste of competition and spiraled into a possessive man..
And then there’s Sanemi who’s the most cray cray of them all... He practically broke the mc’s bones and beat them up into a pulp, all because he couldn't handle his jealous rage and tried to pass it off as some sick form of ‘training’
And the demons? They’re more worst than the hashiras.
And the worst part of it all?
You were now the reincarnation of the MC.

Yo! Hello its me again! Could i please request like a reverse isekai where the kny characters end up in reader's house? And maybe she is like Mad rich but like.. Not a spoiled brat she likes to do charity and make money for herself and maybe she is living with her cousins, she is smark but can be stupid (if you know what i mean) i don't know, you can do whatever you want, (there is not enough reverse isekai fanfictions😭), anyhow, hope you have a good day and you didn't get sick of my (a lot) requests😁🫶🏻👋🏻
Hashira getting reverse isekai’d
Your favourite hashira suddenly appeared inside your home! How will they react to your home and the modern world?
Pairing: Sanemi, Kyojuro, Giyu x gn!reader
Sanemi Shinazugawa
He will not adjust to this change quietly— he is ready to destroy and slice every single piece of tech that decides to randomly beep or talk to him. You once found Sanemi trying to get his katana out of your ceiling after throwing it with full force against your smoke detector, after it beeped to remind you to change battery. It scared the shit out of him, so he put an end to that thing. Often times when using your phone, Sanemi accidentally activates Siri. He first thought that a demon was speaking through the phone with some kind of blood demon art, then, after explaining to him what exactly Siri is and what she does, he just begins cursing her and cussing her out every time she activates on him. You once had to remind him not to grip it so tightly, or else your screen might crack.
A thing he really, really likes about your modern home though is your bathroom. The shower, the large mirror, sink, toilet… just everything about it. The first time he stepped into your shower and closed the glass door behind himself, Sanemi was first confused about the shower settings. He turned every knob that is able to be turned, both cooking himself alive and dodging the water in fear of freezing, achieving both of these things in one shower. Once he finally found the perfect temperature, it was time to test all of the products you have, and not sparingly. Shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, shower gel, body scrub and whatever else he could get his fingers on— once he got out of the shower and returned to you, his smell was almost overwhelming, but at least you know now that his har is somehow able to look even better than before.
After a long adjustment period, you sometimes catch Sanemi watching the TV. He made himself comfortable in a corner of your couch, cuddled up in heated blankets (he learned how to use the settings all by himself!) and watching one movie after another. He’s quite the binge-watcher apparently, watching one action movie after another for hours on end. At the end of such day, he’ll complain about his eyes burning up without having any idea how that happened.
“Hey, wanna join me? Blanket s’ warm and I found a movie about some weird metal things moving really, really fast and guys kicking each other’s asses— Huh? Cars? Are those these fast carriages sliding around on there?”
Kyojuro Rengoku

He is incredibly curious about every single thing and would try to understand how everything works. Kyojuro would inspect your microwave and press every button their is, watching the pizza pocket he threw into there react to the different settings and then grieving about how the once weird snacks he wanted to try turned into a piece of burnt remains. Despite being the most comfortable with the traditional meals he used to eat, Kyojuro would love to try any dish you even mentioned by name once! Since you can get your food delivered to your front door, Kyojuro can try as many different cultural dishes as he can get his hands on! Or as many as you can get delivered to tour home. Ordering food is something he always gets very excited about, like what do you mean you can order all kinds of cultural food in a matter of minutes? How do the restaurants have all the ingredients available and are always ready to serve customers? And why do you refuse to order a so-called Happy Meal for him? Isn’t it supposed to make one happy?
Another thing Kyojuro is very excited about is the gym. He accidentally stumbled upon a fitness center after returning from buying groceries, staring at the people training inside with those weird machines. The hashira spotted a couple of people build broader and stronger than him, making him realise that this may be some kind of modern training ground. He begged on his hands and knees for a membership so he can explore all these new machines and weight excursuses. Once Kyojuro got inside, he was like a child in a candyshop. He spend the whole day testing out every machine, noting his own limits and setting goals on how to get even stronger. Despite no demons terrorising your world, he still wants to keep his muscles and gain strength to offer nice pillows you can lay your head on and also have the ability to open sealed jars for you without struggling.
“Can we order sweet potato tonight? I miss eating it, and it’s my comfort dish…. Also, I believe I may have started to develop homesickness. I miss my brother the most, though… Not that I don’t like it here, I love it! I just miss my father and brother, that’s all.”
Giyu Tomioka
Staying true to his nature, Giyu would be silent and awkward in this new space. He’s scared of offending you in any way but simply taking his haori off or sitting down onto your couch since he has no idea about the manners and behaviours expected from him in this world, but at the same time doesn’t bother to ask you in order to not burden you in any way. So, he quietly followed you around the house in and inspect your furniture and decorations, sometimes curiously picking something up and inspecting its function. His favourite object so far is a rubix cube he found on your desk. You caught him turn the sides, trying to understand what the point of this thing is. Does it have something on the inside? Why are the colours all scrambled up? While watching his irritation grow because of not being able to sort the colours, you suggested that Giyu can keep it and try to solve it after giving him a small briefing on what the point of the cube is. Thanking you, he kept the rubix cube on his body to play around with it whenever he has time. He is seriously invested in it and really wants to solve it in order to prove to himself that he can solve a complex puzzle and to maybe even impress you a little.
Also, you discovered that Giyu likes noise-canceling headphones, music and e-books. You often find him cuddled up together on your sofa, his face illuminated by your Ipad in his hands. You could hear the faint sounds of soft and slow music from the headphones he was wearing. He looks incredibly invested in whatever he is reading, so you snuck up on him and glanced over his shoulder, reading a couple of lines. It wasn’t a fantasy story or a random novel like you thought, but Giyu was actually reading an article about the behaviour of cats. Adorable, you thought, so you left him be and went on with your day. The water hashira eyed your form as you left, sneakily switching tabs and returning to what he was actually reading: a fluffy romance novel. He looks over his shoulder twice, thrice, checking if you are still near before feeling comfortable enough to continue his reading in peace.
“Can I borrow your.. headphones? They’re called headphones, right? Yes, I’d like to borrow them again. I want to use them to have more silence, you are being very loud and I wanted to read something.”
💠
You never bother me with your requests! They are always so fun to write for!! Also, I hope it’s okay I kind of “simplified” your request— I hope you enjoyed this anyway. Also, I didn’t include Gyomei because I was unsure of what exactly to write for him, but I may update this tomorrow and a small scenario for him <3
Anyways, make sure to EAT, SLEEP and DRINK enough!!
Take care of yourselves <3

Sneak Peek of Chapter 3|| The Isekai’d Oracle
Sorry for being away, some shit happened and I’m finally well enough to write again, until I go and get my tonsils remove. Was a crazy few months from being sick, getting sick again, and enrolling to college. So yeah, been busy and just recently things calmed down and I finally sat down and write. Enjoy.
Also this is a rough draft and there may be some small changes to it when finished.
Your body felt numb, as the freezing cold winds surround you. The ground dark and dead. Trees twisted from the cold harsh temperatures. It felt like the freezing cold was consuming you.
You continue to travel up the frozen path. Stumbling on a sharp pillar of ice. This was oddly familiar to you as dread filled your being on what was to come next.
Where the hell are you at now?
You were in the motel room, going to bed. So how did you end up here?
The pillar of ice was thick and tall, your cloudy reflection stare back at you. The details smudge made it hard to see yourself. Though, it didn’t felt like you were. No, the colors of your clothes were different. You reach your hand to touch the ice. The closer it got, the more the reflection changed and shift. Your hand turning blue, either from hypothermia or something else completely.
Low whispers filled the air.
Muttering.
“Are you really going to let it play out like this?”
The shock of the bitter coldness burns your hand, the moment you touch the ice. You yell and pull away, looking around to see who is with you. Clutching your injured and shaking hand, trying to calm your quick breaths. The pain getting worse, as it slowly spread down your arm.
No one.
You were alone.
However, the whispering didn’t stop. It kept getting louder and louder. Trying to wrap your mind around that voice, it was yours, yet it wasn't. You tried to think more but the intangible whispers made it hard. Your eyes shoot around hoping to find the source of the whispers and voice.
Then it clicked.
You have seen this place before.
A groan escaped from you when you felt Almond lick your cheek. She was laying on top of you. The room felt oddly cold as you slid the small dog off of you.
You sat up from the bed and yawn. Brows furrowed, rubbing your hand. The same hand, that touched the frost on the window and that ice pillar in your dreams. It didn’t hurt now, but you still felt a phantom pain to it.
That’s right, your dream…
You say they're silently, thinking. Maybe all the stress and worries on not knowing what to do when season three hits, are chewing you up more than expected. It’s not unreasonable to believe that dream means nothing and is just a projection of your fears. However, you’re literally in the show you've been obsessed over and anything is fair game now.
Yet which was more reasonable, that being a simple nightmare or there’s a warning to it?
…
Almond lays next to you and waits patiently.
“We are going to a different motel. I am not dealing with this or the Lady Bone Demon. Fuck this shit.”
You got up from the bed and packed the little items you have in your backpack. As much as you love the show and the characters, which you would love to meet someday. Just not the Lady Bone Demon, and you can be naïve most of the time, at least you have some common sense and take that nightmare as a sign to go hide for a while. Just until things calmed down and try to come up with a plan to do next. You had spent long enough adjusting to this new world, it’s time to go out and well— do something.
You’re not risking anything when it comes to her. Maybe that nightmare was just simply a nightmare and just a by-product of your fears. A reasonable explanation for a world, where there are no such things as magic and demons.
Sadly, you’re currently in a world where such things exist.
You pause and place the bag on your bed.
“Where can I even go?”
Almond whines, as you mutter. You’re completely on your own, with no one to help. You have no powers and are homeless. If that dream was a sign, then for what? What can it be telling you?
And why you?
It’s not like you wished for this to happen.
Well, not exactly…
You groan before putting on your backpack. Guess your only option currently is to go to a different motel and hope nothing dangerous happens.
“Come on, Almond we have a stressful day ahead of us.”
You left in a hurry and Almond followed close behind. This isn’t how you wanted to start off your second chance in life.
Your steps were loud, stomping down the stairs. Thinking about what to do. It’s not safe to stay out on the streets. Then you had to “work” for Jin and Yin. Though, you can always just not go.
Almond barks and circles around you while walking. Letting out a sigh and picking her up.
“I can’t be always carrying you.” Almond just snuggles closer, resting her small head on your shoulder. You felt her body relax and almost melt in your hold.
“Only for a while, I can’t carry you the whole time.”
You walk around the city, going to different parts and just trying to memorize the area. Everything was busy, cars going by, people walking into shops or restaurants, and tourists buying street food or souvenirs.
“Maybe I should…” You let your mind wander, only for a bit. Yet it wouldn’t hurt, would it? Is it really the best choice-
You take in your surroundings and really focus. Going down streets that looked familiar.
It wouldn’t hurt to see it, right? You can be a customer. Wait do you even have enough money? No, you can deal with that later.
You continue to look around and take turns but nothing was standing out. Almond whines, and stirs a bit, confused by your sudden boost of energy.
“I just need to check something out. It’ll be quick, I promise.”
Almond huffs and starts softly but firmly scratches your shirt.
“We are heading to a place, for a nice breakfast for once. Doesn’t that sound great? A warm, home-cooked style breakfast… can dogs even eat noodles?” You pause for a second, before continuing forward. “I’ll just buy something with meat and just give it to you.”
Almonds squirm in your hold as you eagerly walk. You slowly realize that it's a lot harder to locate since everything is not a 2D cartoon drawing. Yet by some miracle, you see that familiar sign. You held your breath and stood there for a second.
Are you really going to do this? I mean, isn’t this what you have been fantasizing about in your previous life? Even though it was a simple fantasy and never expected it to happen. Yesterday stressed you out, meeting the “villains” of the show was draining.
You walk up to the small restraint. Hopefully, you’ll have enough money to pay.
Almond barks in your ear.
“Hey- calm down, you’re still in trouble. I’m not letting you go this time so you can run off.”
To your dismay, you couldn’t keep hold of the squirming dog. You had to put her down. Almond immediately turns to face you, her body outstretched. Her upper half is down on the ground, in a dog’s playing pose. She let out a loud bark and you stared down at her unimpressed.
“I’m hungry, let’s go in.”
She let out another bark.
“And we need to eat.”
She barked again but was mixed with a growl.
“Okay, you do know I can't understand you, right?”
Almond huffs.
“Come on, I know you’re hungry, cause I am. This will be fun, a nice meal.”
You stare down at the dog, who keeps her stance ready. However, her small stature made it easy to walk by the small dog. Almond keeps barking, obvious warnings.
“I’m gonna keep going and have a nice breakfast, with or without you.” You continue to walk to the small restaurant, the familiar neon sign outside, keeps pushing you forward.
This was it, no one is going to stop you. You’re going to meet main characters of this show.
That’s right, this is your second chance in life. Why waste it on working every second? You deserve to treat yourself and have no one to tell you “no” or that you don’t have enough time for.
You reach the entrance, ready to enter and completely ignoring Almond’s barking. Inches away until you were swept up from your feet. Somebody throwing you over their shoulder as they ran. On instinct you let out a loud scream as the two trickster demon carry you off.
“What the- put me down!”
“Didn’t we told you we would find you if you didn’t showed up for today’s work?” Yin said.
“And here we find you going off eating at the place our sworn enemy works at!” Jin yells a bit frustrated.
“I just wanted to eat! And- PUT ME DOWN!” You shouted back at them. Almonds barks and chase after you three down the street. As the two demons push the pedestrians aside. While you continue to scream.
“Maybe… another day… I just wanted to eat at Pigsy’s Noodles…” You whine out sadly as Yin puts you down.
“You are not allowed to mingle with the enemy, no matter how good their food is!” Jin starts lecturing you.
“Right, enemy, which is yours and not mine! I have no problem with them.”
“Well, you work for us now so are enemies are yours! It’s just standard business etiquette.” Yin adds.
You roll your eyes and carry Almond who was on edge by the sudden kidnapping. Her small eyes glared at the two.
“Also, please don’t ever grab me like that ever again.” You firmly said, trying to be stern with the two demons.
“Then don’t run off and mingle with the enemy! You work for us now.”
“Against my will, which I might add. Also, you didn't even haven't told me what I'll be doing and if I'm getting paid or- at least have some food for some payment. New flash, I am currently homeless.” You gesture to your bag filled with your things.
“It isn’t aren’t fault you can’t don’t have a house!” Jin goes into the abandoned building. Yin waits behind you, making sure you enter the building and not run off. You and Almond give him a hard and cold glare while entering.
“No, but if I’m going to ‘working’ for you two then I would like some sort of payment.”
You walk around trying not to step on some loose sheets of paper and destroyed photos.
“This place is a mess…”
“And this mess is our headquarters, where we come up with our evil schemes. So show some respect.” Yin was close behind you but gave you some space. “This is the place you’re going to working in.”
“Oh how nice…” You sat at the couch. “Well… I’m hungry and it would be nice if you get me something to eat.”
“Nope, it’s time to work and you came in late.”
“Did not and no food means no work.”
Jin and Yin whisper to one another.
“What do you want to eat?”
You think for a moment.
“Something warm, I been feeling cold all morning.”
“Well then, your first task is to clean this whole place up while we get something to eat.”
You didn’t get a word in as they left.
“I guess, they didn’t like my comment.”
Almonds huff and lays down on the couch.
“I’m not liking your attitude.” You mutter softly and begin to clean.
“What was all that yelling earlier?” Pigsy comes out of the kitchen and placing a bag on the counter. Ready to be delivered. Tang shrugs, eating. MK puts the broom away and grabs the bag.
“It’s probably nothing, you know a lot of people are yelling and screaming about something.” MK stretches a bit.
“Kid, you okay? Never seen you this quiet. Usually, you're yapping about Monkey King or yesterday's training or something.” Pigsy leans onto the counter. Resting and trying to close the distance between him and MK. While Tang listens in.
“Oh, I guess I was really focusing on work today. Ever since the training with Monkey King it feels like I’m growing a lot.”
MK says jokingly. Pigsy rolls his eyes and chuckles.
“Well, fine, you don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to. Go back to work and deliver those noodles.” He shrugs it off and head back to the kitchen. Tang loudly slurps his noodles.
“You should relax more MK-“
“Like you?”
Tang stares at MK, unamused.
“You make it sound like a bad thing. Imagine, sitting down with a bowl of delicious noodles and just relax.”
“Cause you don’t have a job.”
“Excuse you, I so do have a job!”
“Can’t hear you, I’m going to deliver noodles~” MK exits the small restaurant. His happy and carefree attitude immediately disappeared. As he stares down the street. It was faint but he could still feel that faint energy pulling him.
“Remember what he said MK, just stay out of her way. This has nothing to do with you.” He said to himself and went to the tuk-tuk.
You fall onto the couch exhausted.
“Almond, is this my life now? Am I really gonna work and clean for other people all my life now? Who knows what those two want me to do to pay their little fee, which I don’t even know how much… oh am I being played here?!”
You shoot up and stare at the tiny dog. Almond ignored you and kept lying down.
“No Almond this is serious, how am I going to get out of this? Being nice will not cut it. I really don’t know what to do, what can I do?”
Almond continues to lie, already tired from your long rant when you were cleaning the entire place.
“Maybe I can get someone to scare them off…”
There was a long since when you trailed off.
You realize you’re doing that a lot recently. Getting lost in thought. It was a nice change than have your head empty so you didn’t need to think about how trapped you felt in your previous life. However, it’s getting annoying on how quickly your head is being filled with questions and stress.
You lay back down on the couch and sigh.
“Or I can lay around here and boss those two around.”
You smile and let yourself relax.
“You know what, let see what comes up first. Cause right now, I’m going to stop worrying about this, enjoy my time here and go as far away from me when she shows up.”
That’s right, why need to stress about something that isn’t going to be happening for a long while?
The front door slams opens. You jolt up and stare at the two demons entering. They inspect the room while holding a plastic bag.
“Not bad but-“ Jin starts off while looking around. “Why did you just pile our stuff into one huge pile?!” He yells at you, annoyed and angry.
“Look I tried organizing what was… going all in those piles. It’s just you two have so much junk here, there’s absolutely no place for it! Don’t go getting mad at me here! I did my job!” You raise your voice, face scrunch up in annoyance.
“You don’t raise your voice at us, we are your bosses!” Yin quickly adds.
“Against my will! If I had the choice I would never ever want you two as my bosses!”
They loudly gasp, as Yin tries to stammer out a response.
“And after we got you breakfast!” Jin holds up the plastic bag to you.
Okay, maybe they weren't too bad. You never had a boss buy you breakfast before.
“Why is it half empty?!” You shout at them.
“Look we may have gone a little hungry on our way back here.” Yin shrugs, not being too bothered by it.
“Anyway, aren't you humans supposed to see it half full?” Jin stares down at you.
“Unbelievable…” You mutter to yourself, inspecting the meal. It didn’t looked like they just grabbed some frozen dish meal and warmed it up. The small meal was freshly made. Even though you were extremely hungry, it didn’t mean you would trust whatever these two bring for you to eat.
You gather a bit of courage and took a bite.
“So you two bought this, right?” You asked and relieve that the food was made by someone who knows how to cook. The taste of the pork chop was went surprisingly well with the rice cake.
“Of course we did! We have some standards when it comes to stealing.” Yin crossed his arms, being slightly offended by your words.
You raise a brow at him, not one bit believing them.
“At least you got me something to eat.” It was small, but at least you got something to eat.
‘Focus on the positives, at least there’s been more positives than your old life.’
“So what exactly am I doing? Cause I’m not going to be doing something illegal.” You state, trying to stand your ground. Jin and Yin stares at you for a moment before leading you to the door.
“How do you feel about going on a trip with us?”
