#First one is THE LONG series of GEESE that fly by!!! my aforementioned friends... Or I think I referenced them in tags of some post #days ago. and how I love watching them. See how many there are? And multiple of these will go by. It's like hundreds of them.#Then just the sky because I love the sky. My hair looking ridiculous as it always does when I brush it out of the four big braids I always #keep it in to keep it out of the way lol. I just find it silly how small it can be all braided up and then as soon as it is Released and #combed then it poofs into some sort of swamp dwelling wizard style.#Then... a daily word count... have been so busy the past week that I sadly haven't written much but I'm WORKING on it. Still on the blasted #'odd jobs' tasks sections which were SUPPOSED to be very quick and short. but.. alas.. Though I am on basically the last one. You go work #for one of the enchanting specialists in the city (very important in society since a majority of people cannot do that type of magic) and #basically he just works so much he has no time for a social life so he hires random people to sit with him in the afternoons doing menial #tasks. You show up thinking you'll help with some Important Job or something but hes just like 'no... peel this apple for me.. :)' lol #Edit note: arrgh just had to fish a slippery avocado pit out of a narrow garbage disposal drain with a chopstick. felt like some #sort of taskmaster challenge or something.. gods... I know some people just reach into them. I guess maybe #my hand would fit?? but... erm... scary. what about Sharp Things in there or something.. also Sludge of some sort perhaps.#ANWYAY.. interruption... I got up to go to the kitchen in the middle of typing my tags... lol..#Next image is SLEEPING boye.. And then PIGEONS!!!!!!!!!! my beloveds...#Oh then the giant evil hole in my bathroom ceiling which is STILL not fixed and the repair people still have to come back again.. BUT they #did have this terrible industrial dehumidifier thing they put in the bathroom and just left here for like 5 days and it was like a noisy #hairdryer going at all times and raised the heat in the bathroom from 65F to 76F in like two hours so.. I'm glad at least at their #last arrival they've finally taken it away.... the Noise Beast... silence in my house at last...#though I am still plagued by Mysterious Hole.. the plastic wrap rustles sometimes when I'm in there.... go away...#Ah. Then a delightful little lemon poppyseed muffin someone didn't want and then gave to me. Which was interesting since I haven't #had one in soooo long even though its like a very Classic Flavor.. I do quite like them though now that I've had one again. :0c #Lastly.. mushrooms. I think it's the mushroom season here. Everywhere you go outside there's some new manner of fungus #having popped up from nowhere. I like the variety of all their little shapes. These in particular have an interesting wispy curled layers #sort of look to them. Almost like a shaggy hairstyle that's curled up at the ends or something. They seem neat to draw perhaps.#Okay.. that is all.. I still have literally like 2 costumes and 12 outfits and I think 1 sculpture? to post.. but I am so busy this is #what I can manage for now I suppose lol... quick pictures that don't really take any sorting or cropping or editing lol #photo diary

#val comes out of hiding #just had the worst 45 mins #got new glasses ok. new rx but with the same frames.#the idea was i would swap the new lenses into the old frames. since they're the exact same frames i already use.#so i won't have to adjust the new frames to be comfy #then i could use the new unadjusted frames as my backup pair so i don't have to spend a bunch of time adjusting the new frames #because i'm really picky about how they're adjusted #anyway. new glasses get here today. i start the process of swapping the new lenses into the old frames and vice versa.#curveball--the new lenses don't fit. WTF? i try and i try and i cannot get the new lenses in. maybe i got a different material thickness id #i didn't think i did but i just cannot get them to fit. alas. upset and frustrated but we gotta power thru it.#in the process of putting the new lenses back into the new frames i LOSE a GODDAMN SCREW #i search for like 15 mins with a flashlight. but our carpet is long and i cannot find that motherfucker to save my life #so i go back to the lenses thing and pilfer a screw from my old frames. then i have a bright idea #i can put the arms from the old frames onto the new frames instead! and that saves the most adjustment-heavy part of the glasses #so i do! and it works great! except i also lose ANOTHER SCREW #i look for this other one for another while and can't find either of them STILL. so i think ok. lemme break out the vacuum.#screw is small and hard. dust is soft. i can just vacuum them up and find the screw in the vacuum dust when i empty it.#so i vacuum and empty the little bit of dust onto a garbage bag on the floor and rifle through it like a little gremlin. no screws.#where are they? who fucking knows man #and yeah i just used screws from my old frames but man. the adhd frustration rage was real i almost had a breakdown on god #new glasses are fine because i got the old arms and now it's just the adjustment period but like. i kind of hate them on principle now

i think a lot of people have never been in a truly desperate situation but think they have, and this causes them to pass really harsh judgment on people who made bad choices when either irrational or having no good choices to pick instead, and i really wish people could get some fucking self-perception and work on their compassion skills and not fucking do that as much anymore

#jack facts #people be banging on about empathy this empathy that #and like sure maybe people have a measurable capacity for it but i can tell you what #that sure as fuck don't mean any fucking one of them ever bothers to make use of it when it matters lol #and i mean on the other hand it's hard to conceptualize how you would feel going through something you've never experienced before #i just wish people would be AWARE of the fact they don't know!#or like that there's a difference between ''i can't afford anything but instant ramen'' and ''i can't get any food or water''#or a difference between being freaked out by spiders and having clinical arachnophobia #or a difference between ''my loved one is sick and i'm really worried about them'' and ''my loved one is dying in front of me''#etc etc etc etc etc #anyway the longer i live the more i'm convinced that empathy is a garbage concept #and actually a more reliable way to act with true compassion is through at least some capacity for relative objectivity #the ability to say ''i don't know how that feels and i cannot understand it through comparison'' and to be able AND WILLING #to take people's self reports on their feelings thought processes or lackthereof in good faith and with sympathy #and also the ability to acknowledge that doing a bad thing for good reasons does not negate the bad thing being bad #but also should and does change what consequences are appropriate and/or most effective #and also like............... things people do in desperation or other irrational states do not represent Who They Are As A Person #or what it's like to hang out with them in a day to day situation #another thing i keep getting more and more aware of is like. if y'all can't even handle an irrational or impulsive choice that does harm #done by an otherwise ''good'' person under short term desperate situations #that they then do their best to reduce the harm of after the situation is over #i can not even imagine how absolutely unforgiving you must be of anyone who has delusions #and i mean real delusions and real psychosis not the hyperbolic babytalk version lol #like i don't think most of you even know what the fuck a delusion even is the way you act about things as simple & straightforward as like #fear. hunger. pain.#absolutely fucking exhausting
