Last time I had one of these it was post Ironman. It’s my celebration beer. This one’s been aging for 5 years now, and I’m opening it now with good reason. To those who knew me pre-Texas, this is going to come as a fucking shock, but I’ve dropped 100 pounds over the last year WITHOUT POSTING ABOUT IT!! Who the fuck am I, right?!? It honestly doesn’t feel like an accomplishment, because it shouldn’t have happened int the first place, but life happens. Covid happens. Really good beer happens. Fuck it. To those who’re wondering, I’m VERY close to being back on my bullshit.

Crockpot Taco Soup - that’s what’s for dinner!! Breaking my 24hr fast with a big bowl of soup full of chicken, corn, black beans, and peppers. Topping it off with cilantro, avocado, and a few tortilla chips really hits the spot. (Link to this recipe is in my BIO @cariclark702 ) I love using my pressure cooker and crockpot to make meals. On the occasion I do a 24hr fast, the crockpot is the way to go! I prep it all the night before, and in the morning I set it and forget it for the rest of the day!! Not thinking about food and focusing on other projects helps me make it through the day. Along with a great FASTer Way VIP community that is always there to support and encourage each other. A lot of the time when people find out I’m #vegan, they assume that I have no options to eat. That may be true at many restaurants and fast food places, but being vegan has allowed me to explore so many different recipes! I eat so many delicious and nutritious foods that foster my health. #eatingclean does not have to be boring. You just have to get out there and explore your options! A lot of the foods found in grocery stores and fast food restaurants foster a lifestyle that promotes disease and illness. In order to have a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle you have to fuel your body with the right foods. Your body is with you forever, so treat it right. Eating clean leads to more energy, weight loss/steady weight, positive vibes, better skin and much more! If you aren’t already, try incorporating a #meatlessmonday into your week or replacing one meal a day with something all plant-based. You can even just add more fruits and veggies in your diet. Feel the difference for yourself. Be liberated.

8 Kilo ben ik kwijt!!! Gaat echt supergoed en ik ben er echt zo blij mee. Bijna 2 maten van mijn kleding omlaag. Echt heerlijk als dingen weer beginnen te passen. Voor mij maakt het niet uit of iemand dik of dun is, ieder moet doen waar hij of zij zich goed bij voelt, maar ik ben toch wel echt heel blij met dit resultaat, want ik voel mezelf echt 100 keer beter als ik slank ben. Maar zover is het nog lang niet. 8 Kilo eraf, nog 22 te gaan... Maar ik heb er vertrouwen in! Binnenkort hopelijk ook weer beginnen met hardlopen, want dat was iets wat mijn gewrichten met al die extra kilo's ook niet meer trokken. Overgewicht en reuma is a no go!
