Today's polish had me in a St. Patrick's Day mood a little early! ☘️🌈 I liked it ok inside and in the shade, but when you got this one in the sun, the red to green shimmer was beautiful and the holo flakes were so twinkly! 😍 I have so many polishes in this formula from this maker and every time I put one on I remember why it's so popular. This is Envy from Bee's Knees Lacquer.
Chapter IV, Act V — Furina walks out of the opera house, and is astonished to see the survivors. The dark clouds part and the sunlight pours down – it is as if the calamity never happened at all.
i LOVE your body horror/biology jaime designs so much. question about how you think khaji's healing factor works - does it have any interesting ways of dealing with head trauma? it's never seemed to be a problem for jaime, but comics tend not to address that getting your head smacked into things is bad even with armor, so idk if you have any thoughts. is khaji doing something fucked up in there or is it just comic logic.
Hello!! Im so glad you're enjoying my art and my ideas <3.
I have a general idea about Jaime's enhanced healing which you might have already seen here, but I don't really have anything specific for head trauma.
The comics don't have much explanation in terms of healing, but there is a bit with prevention of head trauma I guess. In Rebirth (one of the few good things about it) Khaji mutates Jaime's skeleton. Not much more detail is given about it, but my personal head cannon is some kind of carbon fiber coating. Its lightweight, sturdy (5 times stronger than steel!), and isn't toxic inside the body (we already use it to make stuff like hip replacements)!
They would have to work around the release and production of new red blood cells, maybe interweaving with the network of capillaries, but it could work! Carbon fiber is already similar to a woven texture. It shouldn't be too hard to weave in a few blood vessels (<- that sounds. so much more fucked up when I put it down on paper.)
It wouldn't necessarily help with healing but hey, prevention can be better than a cure!

What does Mondo think of him?
What does he think of himself?
In this theoretical universe in which nothing is wrong. In this universe in which high school is normal. One is the enforcer and the other the antagonist and yet they mesh together. Mondo sees an innocence within Kiyotaka that mirrors an inane discomfort within himself. A strength he was forced to take on like a burden, yet does not project an infantilization onto Kiyotaka, but rather a wish of a simpler life than his own he received. From Mondo’s own perspective, Kiyotaka is the normality. The representation of a perfect classmate and a perfect, moral high ground. His execution is flawless and his attitude, while poignant and sharp, is well-meaning with good intent. Aside, there is indeed a kinship within the two specific opposites. The desire to hold those close within a safety. To take the metaphorical bullet. And like two folding upon each other to receive the pain in another's stead, it comes with a herding of a flock. Harsh hand when it necessitates, but a general understanding and love for those close enough to receive it.
But then, what does Kiyotaka think of himself? No doubt there is a high standard to reach. A peak, of sorts, that is desired out of himself. Drawn from within his understanding of the world, forced, of course, by a familial history he is well aware of. In such, there is not just a desire for perfection but the need for it. A specificity that could drag him deep into a despair if he dared let himself go so far as to crumble underneath the pressure he puts on himself, one that is also, in some cases forced upon him. One he accepts with grace and a wobbly smile. Because it is all he knows how to do. Here, however, there are buffers. Exceptions to these laws of Ishimaru’s nature that refuse the perfection. Friends, such as Mondo, whom while motivate him to reach that peak, force his hand in understanding that he is only a person and nothing more. He may see himself as said enforcer, an embodiment of the laws in which he upholds, the rules, if you will. Yet with his connection to others, his friends, there comes a messier understanding of himself that does not have the chance to show elsewhere. Without negative influence, there is room to harbor emotion. Allowing a flourishing of oneself that may only appear in the right conditions. Unisolated, comforted, happy.
cons of going to a “good schoolTM”: insane workload, unbearable classmates, next to no support when you have any kind of extenuating circumstances Including literal hospitalization, etc
pros of going to a “good schoolTM”: the 9-5 lifestyle is genuinely a major improvement
I'm gonna be honest I feel like I've been having such a hard time with art lately. Can't tell whether it's art block or not. Like... I want to draw. I REALLY want to draw. I have commissions, character designs, DND ideas, etc. all up in my brain BUT everytime I go to draw or look at a canvas AND TRYING to draw I end up being frustrated.
So yea, uh that's why it feels like there's been a lack of art that isn't related to streaming or SHop lately, because there has.
I thought I'd get to game a lot more than I did on my weekend, but with all the stressful appointments and what not, I ended up spending a lot of it in bed trying to chill the hell out
that being said I'm basically caught up on some old favorite YouTubers so that's fun! and I think I'm going to end my weekend watching some Supernatural before bed
