hc that kyouka like. mimics people to show her affection, since she isnt good with words n stuff.

like one time she and atsushi were riding the bus somewhere and atsushi brought his knees up to his chest and just kinda sat curled up on the bus seat like that and kyouka looked at him for a minute before doing the same thing then looking at him with like these big cat eyes. atsushi was a bit confused but he smiled and sorta nudged against her and she smiled back

kunikida was pacing in the ada offices one day (dazai was later than usual and he was stressing a bit) and kyouka kinda just started walking next to him. she didnt really know why he was pacing but she thought it would help if he did it with him (it did, in a way)

naomi will be talking nonsense to a cat that she met on the street and kyouka has no idea why she would be doing that??? why is she saying made up words to this animal??? but she sees that naomi is really happy so she crouches down and starts babbling to the cat

tanizaki is worried at first bc sometimes theyll be sitting at the same desk and hes working in complete silence (like he always does, except for when someone is talking to him) and he'll look over at kyouka and shes just. sitting there. silent. and hes so worried bc he wants her to feel safe and he wants her to like him but shes always just. sitting there staring at him.

until one day, shes sitting with him and he starts drumming his fingers on the desk, waiting for a document to upload. then he hears a second set of fingers drumming the rhythm with him. he looks up, confused and sees kyouka looking at him, drumming her fingers. he stops, and as soon as he does her fingers go still. he starts up again, and so does she. he cant stop smiling the rest of the day.

kenji takes kyouka to a park for a picnic, after he found out shes never been on one. he takes out some orange slices and puts one in his mouth so it looks like a smile. she stares at him before doing the same thing, struggling a bit. they look at each other for a moment before bursting out laughing.

- he knew it the first time he felt it— believe me, he'll still teases s/o and say bad thing; it's his nature after all (i love him sm slapped) - maybe he'll either confess or not - your choice - but his life is not the same anymore; he's acting weird - his tsundere is showing too much - fellow knights member noticed the change - except for the person themself - sena can't help but always say something to them and sometimes, accidently made s/o cry - cue the knights members being angry at him - he's having a hard time since he knew he has a crush on them

- this beauty here !! darling is so sweet - always gives affection to s/o - but when naru had a crush on them, love and affection everywhere overloads - somehow the love and affections being showered on s/o was not an odd thing anymore - they were basically being oblivious as naru-chan tried to show her love to them - damn too sweet is all i see - i can describe no more //kisses her cheeks

- sleep, huggies and desserts - he asks s/o to join him in short naps - they were was shocked but obliged - he uses their laps as his pillow - "i think i have a crush on you..." - he blurted out - they were confused but they got the message - would even spend more time with him if asked - since their feeling is mutual towards him too

- this baby boy here doesn't know how to act around his producer anymore - he'll stumble upon his words - s/o laughs at his cuteness - they'll play and spoil him nonstop - kasa got fumes running out of his ears while red tinted his cheeks - "p-producer!! please stop!!" - no, they won't stop - his crush for them bloom until one day he had the courage to tell them - "producer, can i call you [name]?" - bewilderment covered their face - they understood why he asked that and they teased him afterward

- he's mischievous - will probably pull pranks to make s/o notice him - troubles - yuta will only sigh in the background - "yuta-kun, hinata-kun is acting weird..." - he'll get complaints from s/o since they felt uncomfortable by his sudden change - hinata said sorry and showered them with nonstop sweets due to his sweet tooth - found this side of him is cute - slowly, they got closer and damn - hinata was proud of himself - cue yuta watching from afar silently supporting his brother

- this boy here may be having a problem when he knew he has a crush on s/o - since he's the opposite of his brother, who's filled with mischief all the time– yuta tends to get in trouble with having a crush on s/o - totally - he's a sweet baby (everyone is idc) - yuta would would be seen snooping around looking at s/o - "s/o, are you alright?" - he once found them moody and he brightened their day with spicy food - but they loved it and appreciated the kind gesture - probably hinata got jealous over the affection his brother gave to their producer

Akutagawa is the only person Atsushi’s told about his hallucinations (and the only person other than Lucy and Fitzgerald of all people to have an idea of how bad the abuse Atsushi suffered at the orphanage really was), but Ranpo, Dazai, and Kyouka are probably aware of them to various extents.

Ranpo is Ranpo and has probably noticed how Atsushi’s eyes will absently drift to empty spaces in the office sometimes before he comes back to himself and snaps his eyes back to his work. He may or may not have guessed the cause. If he has figured it out he doesn’t know what to do about it.

Kyouka lives with Atsu and Dazai is his mentor. There’s no way they haven’t noticed that something is wrong with him even if they don’t know what it is.

I definitely think Zuko loves being a girl dad, I bet Izumi dressed him up and the people around the palace had a giggle from time to time when he'd turn around and there'd be a sticker on his butt or a bow in his hair. #girldadzuko

After Dazai is back in the ADA, he moves in with Atsushi and Kyouka for some time to heal his injuries.

They become really close with each other during that time. Watching movies together, going to amusement parks where Kyouka dries their wallets eating ice-cream and crepes, having hot pot, Oden and Chasuke almost every day to soothe their souls.

Dazai gets better immediately but he still pretends to be sick because he likes this little family they have made and he had never truly been a part of something like this before. A relationship where he doesn't have to worry about making plans and schemes. He can just relax with the kids and forget he has any problems or issues for some time.

Atsushi and Kyouka find Dazai eccentric with his bad dad jokes and some surprisingly good advice; he has a big personality but that balances their introversion and makes them more open. His presence is comforting to them.

In the end none of them ever speak about Dazai moving out and they just go on with their dangerous lives, knowing they can go back in the night to a place called home.

Dazai: do you guys ever think about dying?

Kyouka: sometimes

Atsushi: can we not talk about that at 2 AM when we are trying to sleep?

Dazai: I was just wondering how it will be like after death

Kyouka: I think death is better than torture

Dazai: do you remember the Port Mafia torture method where they half kill you to make you face death and then make you beg for your lives?

Kyouka: the one with the barrels? I think hanging upside down is much worse...

Atsushi: can we stop fucking talking about THIS and go to SLEEP????

Dazai, gasping: how can you swear in front of Kyouka-chan! That gives her bad manners!

Atsushi: YEAH, you two can talk about fucking dying and torture, but I can't swear? You've gotta be shitting me.

Dazai: ......

Kyouka: yeah, Atsushi swears a lot when he is mad. He learnt that in the orphanage

So, I was thinking about something in LOK.

You know the Earth Queen Hou-Ting? You know, the woman who secluded airbenders and that Zaheer killed?

This one?

Well, as you all may know, she’s King Kuei’s only daughter.

I’m sure you all remember King Kuei, the puppet king with the bear.

This guy.

Well, I made some calculus. He must’ve been in his early/mid 20s in ATLA. And his daughter had to be in her 50s/early 60s when she died.

In the meantime, Zuko is 87/88 in 171AG, when LOK3 takes place. Since his daughter is commonly believed to be around Bumi and Kya’s age, I’d speculate that she’s around 60 in her appearance in LOK4, in 174AG and when Zuko is 90 (Tenzin is 51 in 170AG and Kya is roughly 4 years older than him, so Izumi must be between 5 and 7 years older than him, which places her in a range between 60 and 62 years old).

So, my point? I think during their diplomatic visits, Zuko and Kuei had to spend a lot of time in each other’s company because, monarch stuff. And given that they were both heirs to their respective thrones, Izumi and Hou-Ting had to spend a lot of time together.

I don’t know why, but I imagine those two having the wildest, silliest yet most hateful beef as teens. And given Hou-Ting’s despicable behavior and authoritarian politic in contrast to what shown of Izumi, a rational leader who cares for her people, I am even more convinced that those two despised each other.

So yeah, I can’t stop picturing Izumi and Hou-Ting insulting the crap out of each other while saving face in front of the subjects. And I can’t stop laughing

he prefers to sleep face to face, because he really wants to look at you since you're just so... pretty... to him.... but in this case, if you prefer the usual spooning, he'll gladly wrap you in a comfortable embrace from behind.

he'd either bury his face in your hair, your nape, or rest his chin on your shoulder (if he doesn't plan on sleeping right now.) either way, he hugs you tight around your stomach.

"you're so warm," he'd mumble sleepily. that might be the last thing you hear him speak that's coherent to your ears before he drifts off to sleep.

but if you like/ are ok with the embrace position, he'd definitely go for it. next thing you know it, the top of his head is placed right under your chin, and his arms are wrapped softly around your mid-back.

he falls asleep quicker this way since he thinks your embrace is comforting and warm... he prefers you play with his hair instead of petting him, honestly. as much he wants to spend more time in your arms awake, the sleep is... too strong...

having trouble sleeping? can't really sleep, a bit (or very) stressed, or just want him to? he'll sing you to sleep— a simple hum of his newest piece, a popular knights song, or just any song you want him to hum, he'll try ! he'd caress your back or arm gently, attempting to lull you to sleep.

mornings usually start off warm. leo is hugging you firmly yet gently, so you can't really move unless you manage to pry leo's arms off you (difficult)

if you wake up first, good luck trying to get out. waking up leo isn't that difficult, it's getting him to stop clinging onto you is. he'd protest, saying "you're too comfortable" and "but i don't want to!" but after a bit of convincing, he'll eventually let you go. but he'll look a bit sad as you get up. go apologize right now. give him a kiss. (he understands though— he'll be right back in spirits after a minute or two. a kiss speeds that up though)

if he wakes up first, he actually doesn't have the heart to wake you up. i mean, look,,, you're so cute... in his arms,,, really, you? he has you? that's just such a big honor. he gets really sappy in the mornings ignore him /j but still, he really can't... but he also wants to kiss you. what does that make? him showering you with kisses first thing in the morning. you know he woke up first if your face feels a bit ticklish because he isn't holding back at all! sorry, he just felt like kissing you (like he always does.)

...can he have another hug? wahaha ♪

he's more of the half-spoon kind of person. him laying on his back, and you hugging him on your side. he'd reach his hand out to touch the top of your head or shoulders or really anywhere you're most comfortable with.

though, in the middle of the night, he ends up turning to his side too and embracing you gently. there's enough room for both of you to breathe, but also close enough to be able to press yourself against him.

he hugs you in this kind-of protective position, with his arms loosely wrapped around your neck-shoulders and a hand on your head. you might feel him pull you closer if you're a light sleeper.

sometimes he's alright with this going vice versa— him pressing up against you as you embrace him gently. he doesn't move that much in his sleep, so you might find him still clinging onto you in the morning.

it will take a bit of getting used to and getting comfortable with physical affection when it comes to izumi, but enough nights together makes cuddling practically routine to him. i mean, what's better— the warmth of a pillow, or the warmth of his lover? the answer is pretty clear for him here

when he comes home late and finds you already asleep, he'll get in bed after his night routine and wrap you in an embrace. even if he can't spend that much time with you due to work, this is one way he's making up for it. (don't mention it to him though— it might get him just a little bit flustered and also try to defend his ways of affection...)

mornings usually start out cold. izumi had already gotten up and kissed you goodbye in your sleep, but on the rare chance that it's his off day and can sleep for however long he decides to, you might find him tightening his grip on you (not to the point of suffocation, but just enough for you not to leave)

if he wakes up first, he'll get up immediately and get ready for work. not before the little voice in his head comments how cute you are asleep. and how maybe it would be nice to stay in bed until you wakes up. it almost convinces him sometimes, you know? he gives in during his free days though— it's just... he rarely gets this kind of opportunity to spend time with you and really savor the mornings. he wouldn't wake you with a kiss— usually it's through a shake and a bit of light scolding— unless you start protesting about how you don't want to let go. although it's just a simple, quick kiss, it's enough for him to finally get you up.

if you wake up first, getting out is easy. just unwrap his hands around you and there! izumi's easy to wake, so if you need to get out of bed already, there's no hassle. do you really want to wake him though? he's embracing you so softly, he looks so much more peaceful than when he's awake...

(he'd mildly complain if you give him a kiss in the mornings saying you could've woken him up another way. but if you chicken out before you could give him one, he'll lean in himself saying "do i really have to do it myself?")

maybe it won't be so bad to spend a few more minutes here...

atsushi learns to take care of long hair via kyouka - he's watched her do her hair and has helped her do it enough that he's pretty okay with it now

one day, kunikida's hair just keeps on slipping out of his pony tail and atsushi, noticing his frustrations, offers to brush it and tie it for him

he enjoys doing kyouka's hair, dont get me wrong, but he thought it was just a kyouka only thing - after all how could atsushi not want to do things for kyouka who was like a sister and who deserved help or assistance in small things if she so asked - atsushi didn't realize how much he was doing it to show his own affection for her

he finds as he's brushing hair, that its just a way he's been showing kyouka he likes her and now w/ kunikida

anyway atsushi ends up braiding kuni's hair while he's working, and is buzzing with this newfound understanding of another way he can show affection

and with the comb tightly in his hand he asks if anyone else would like him to brush his hair, as nonchalantly as he can

naomi takes one look at his tail wagging, w/ atsushi unaware, and says yeah sure and lets him brush her hair and tie it up

she even tells him to brush juni's hair - which isn't long at all but its still fun

the next day yosano asks atsushi if he could tie up her hair and even ranpo lets him brush it back once

slowly atsushi works his way through everyone in the agency

other than dazai

atsushi offers his services to dazai too

but dazai always refuses - he jokes about atsushi only not doing his hair and when atsushi says he will, dazai gets weirdly quiet and changes the topic after a minute

anyway

atsushi does end up doing dazai's hair, not just brushing, but washing and drying and pushing it out of his face, but its on one of those weeks where dazai cant bring himself to even get out of bed and atsushi decides to take care of him instead

I don't think I've talked about this before, but to me the ada members' house accomodations are arranged like this:

Atsushi and Kyouka live together in the ada dorms (obviously). Their small apartment is the one that angles the building, and thus one of the biggest (while still being very modest).

Dazai lives in his own apartment at the ada dorms. It's very messy.

Naomi and Jun'ichiro share an apartment at the ada dorms.

Kunikida and Kenji share an apartment at the ada dorms. Kunikida and Katai used to be roommates untill Katai left. When the ada took Kenji in, it would have been insensitive to leave a 14 y/o up to his own devices, living alone; so of course Kunikida (as the most responsable member, duh) took the responsability on himself. Kenji spends about half the time back home in the countryside, so it's not like he's always there anyway.

Fukuzawa, Ranpo and Yosano live together in an house of their own. It's reasonable to think Fukuzawa hosted Ranpo and Yosano when he had just taken them in, since they were both very young at the time (and the ada dorms couldn't have been a thing back then, Ranpo being literally the only other member (and even if they were, again, you can't leave 14 y/os to live on their own, that's common decency)). Some time after taking Yosano in they moved from the small spartan flat that used to be the Silver Wolf's one to a bigger, traditional style house. They grew together as a family - with Yosano and Ranpo genuinely thinking of each other as siblings -, and they never felt the need to change that.
