Seungmin isn’t overly touchy, but when he gives affection, it’s intentional. He’ll pull you into a hug after a long day, adjust your jacket when it’s cold, or bring you your favorite snack just because. His love is quiet, but it’s constant.

b — beginning (how the relationship starts)

It starts with teasing. Lots of it. He probably makes fun of you before he even knows your name. But then he remembers everything you say, laughs a little too hard at your jokes, and suddenly… you’re texting every night and stealing his hoodie.

c — cuddles (what kind of cuddler are they?)

He acts like cuddling is too cheesy, but then clings to you the second you’re in his arms. He loves spooning you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder, or laying with you on his chest as he scrolls TikTok like it’s no big deal.

d — domestic (what are they like living with?)

Seungmin keeps things tidy and efficient. He has a “system” for everything, and if you mess it up, he’ll sigh dramatically but fix it for you anyway. He handles bills on time, keeps the fridge stocked, and somehow remembers exactly when to water the plants.

e — ending (how would a breakup go?)

He’d be honest, but it’d hurt. He’s not one to ghost or walk away suddenly — he’d explain why, try to make peace, and make sure you felt closure. Even if he’s the one hurting, he won’t let it show too much.

f — fiancé (what are they like engaged?)

Chill on the outside, secretly freaking out about every little detail. He’d want the engagement to feel special but not showy — probably something private, like a walk by the river or a cozy night in. He’d wear the ring proudly though, always playing with it.

g — gentle (how gentle are they physically/emotionally?)

He teases a lot, but he’s incredibly gentle when it counts. If you’re upset, his voice goes soft and he listens without interrupting. He doesn’t baby you, but he treats your heart with so much care.

h — hugs (what are their hugs like?)

Warm, firm, and always just long enough. His hugs feel like coming home — especially when he wraps his arms around your waist from behind or pulls you close after a long day.

i — i love you (who says it first? how often?)

He waits. He makes sure he means it first. But once he says “I love you” the first time, it becomes part of your every day — in casual whispers, in text messages, and in the way he looks at you across the room.

j — jealousy (how do they handle jealousy?)

He doesn’t get possessive, but he definitely gets snarky. If someone’s flirting with you, expect a subtle but savage comment and a sudden arm around your waist. Later, he’ll pretend it didn’t bother him… but yes, it did.

k — kisses (what are their kisses like?)

Teasing, sweet, and sometimes unexpectedly intense. He’ll kiss your cheek just to make you blush, or press a slow kiss to your lips when you least expect it. Loves forehead kisses when you’re tired.

l — little ones (do they want kids? how are they around them?)

He acts like he’s not into kids, but kids love him. He’s great at making them laugh and teaching them stuff. He’d want kids eventually — not a lot, just enough to fill the house with chaos and laughter.

m — morning (what are they like in the morning?)

Grumpy until he has coffee, but sweet. He’s the one who wakes you up gently, brushing hair from your face and mumbling, “Five more minutes.” He gets ready fast and always remembers what you need for the day.

n — night (how are they at night?)

Nights are his soft time. He opens up more, loves laying around with music or movies, and always says “goodnight” like he means it. If he falls asleep before you, he’ll still instinctively reach for your hand.

o — open (how open are they with you?)

It takes time, but once he trusts you? He tells you everything. His hopes, insecurities, random thoughts at 2 a.m. He doesn’t open up easily, but when he does, it’s deep.

p — patience (are they patient?)

Very. He deals with chaos on a daily basis (thanks to his members), so he’s calm, collected, and rarely loses his cool. If you need space or time, he gives it without question.

q — quizzes (how well do they know you?)

Way too well. He remembers your order at every café, your favorite childhood cartoon, and exactly how you like your ramen. He uses that info to quietly take care of you without making a big deal about it.

r — remember (favorite memory with you?)

The first time you cried from laughing around him. It caught him off guard — how good it felt to make you happy like that. He thinks about that moment more often than he’d ever admit.

s — security (how safe and secure do they make you feel?)

He’s your emotional anchor. He makes you feel like no matter what happens, he’s got your back. He’s loyal, consistent, and always checks in with a quiet “you okay?”

t — try (how much effort do they put in?)

Seungmin isn’t flashy, but he tries in meaningful ways — remembering dates, writing you little notes, surprising you with something you mentioned weeks ago. He puts effort into making you feel seen.

u — ugly (what’s their worst trait?)

He can be too sarcastic when he’s upset. Sometimes he deflects with jokes instead of talking seriously, which can be frustrating. But he’s working on it.

v — vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)

He cares, but not obsessively. He knows how to dress and always looks good without trying too hard. But if you compliment him? He’ll act cocky about it just to see you roll your eyes.

w — whole (do they feel complete with you?)

Yes — though he’ll never say it like that. You balance him, calm him, and make his days brighter. He feels safest when he’s with you.

x — xtra (something special/quirky about them?)

He secretly sings to you when you’re asleep. Soft little hums or your favorite songs. He doesn’t think you notice, but it’s one of the things you love most.

y — yuck (what do they hate?)

Lying, being ignored, and loud chewing. He’s lowkey picky about food textures and hates when people treat others rudely in public.

z — zzz (what are they like asleep?)

Cuddly without meaning to be. He’ll knock out fast, but if you shift even a little, he’ll pull you closer in his sleep. Occasionally talks in his sleep — usually nonsense or soft whines when you’re not close enough.

You and Mizu had always been close. You would frequently visit your grandfather out in the thick woods behind Kohama, of whom Mizu was an apprentice of. Your grandfather was grateful of you coming around to give Mizu another outlet, a real friend her age to speak to instead of trailing behind him all day and night.

Mizu was quickly drawn to you the day you first showed up as a small child, but was worried about how you would react to her most potent feature. The first few visits you had that she was there for, she ended up curiously watching you from afar as you would talk to Eiji about your newest skill your mother had taught to you, or watching you play outside in the forest.

The first time you had seen Mizu’s eyes, you were enthralled by them. Of course, you had heard of the onryō haunting Kohama, but you expected them to be taller, have sharp and frightening features. But Mizu was shy and gentle with you, silently greeting you with a small flower every time you came to visit as you started to grow closer. You bonded over your shared want to master a weapon that seemed so far out of reach, you with your bow and Mizu’s sword.

You were her closest friend, the first person beside her mother to know she was a woman. You were never scared or deterred from her or her slowly hardening demeanor, or her sharp blue eyes. She could pinpoint the exact moment she had begun to fall for you; after quietly sharing the fate of her mother on the one day that the bad men had come to take her out of this world.

You were nothing but kind with her, an arm resting on her shoulders as your hand gently carded through her hair that you had helped her tie up so many times. When she turned her head to look at you through nervous eyes and she saw nothing but fondness and warmth, she knew you had her wrapped around your finger.

Your visits started to become more infrequent as your father began preparing you for your duties as a wife in the near future, and Mizu found herself distracting herself from your absence by throwing herself into her sword and fighting techniques. But in the moments before bed, she would lay on her back and stare longingly at the ceiling, wondering what would happen if you and her were to just run off together and start your own life together. But what she yearned for to be possible hurt her, because she knew it could never be. The relationship she so desperately craved to have with you was forbidden; it could get the two of you killed.

So her mind became consumed with her quest for revenge. Her sword was forged from the meteorite she and the swordfather found, and she was marching her way to say goodbye to you. The rain that poured on the day of her departure set the tone for how well the attempt at a goodbye would go. With how stubborn you were when it came to Mizu’s safety, she knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

She stealthily climbed up the tree beside your home, crawling in through a window on the second story floor before quietly in front of your door. Now, she’d never been to your home, but you’d described it to her enough for her to be able to get her bearings. She patted off the front of haori nervously before raising her hand and knocking on your door softly.

She could hear you shuffling around before arriving at the door, opening it and smiling widely at the sight of your friend. She allowed herself to curl her lips into a small smile as you pulled her into your room, the smell of your lavender incense and smoke from the candle crawled it’s way into her nostrils while you shut the door behind the two of you.

While Mizu was glancing around your room for the first time, you smiled before clearing your throat to catch her attention. She turned her head to look over her shoulder at you, her smile dropping at the reminder of what she was here to do. She decided to rip the bandaid off, not bothering with any pleasantries.

“I’ve come to say goodbye.”

Your mood and smile dropped, brows furrowing at Mizu’s sudden words.

You knew of Mizu’s yearning and hunger for revenge, but you figured you’d have more time with her in Kohama before she would depart. You regretted not sneaking out to your grandfather’s when you had the opportunities presented themselves, you felt incredibly guilty for leaving Mizu hanging for so long. She seemed colder now, you wondered what she had been through in the months since you last visited.

You should’ve made time.

Why didn’t you make time?

Now the one you loved more than anything any rich lord could offer was leaving, and you were stuck here to become a docile wife. The thought of it put a horrible taste in your mouth.

You swallowed thickly, “I’m coming with.”

Mizu blinked in surprise, her eyes widening as you began to gather up your bow and quiver that laid hidden beneath the floorboards in front of your sleeping pad. She swiftly moved over to you, kneeling and placing a hand on your bicep to stop you. She could see the tears glistening in your eyes through your hair that draped over your face, brushing it out of your face and tucking it behind your ear softly.

You paused your frantic movements to grab your weapon, glancing towards Mizu, who continued to be nothing but gentle with you as you began to let the tears trail down your cheeks. You wept, feeling homesick for the person who hadn’t even left yet.

“No, you’re not.” Mizu said quietly, but in such a firm tone you knew there was no room to argue about it. “I need you here. I need to know that you’re safe home, in Kohama. Where I’m going… you could get killed. I couldn’t live with myself if something happened to you on my watch.”

“But you could get killed, Mizu.” You whispered, turning into her, almost. Your knees touched, Mizu’s strong hands resting on your biceps while you raised your head just enough to stare at the scarf wrapped around her neck. Slowly reaching up, you fidgeted with the standing end of the knot before letting your hand fall to rest against her binded chest. “You could get killed and I’d… I’d never know. I’d be here waiting for you, and you’d never come back. I can’t…” Your voice shook, and Mizu’s hands began to as well. “I can’t live in a world that doesn’t have you in it.”

Mizu’s eyes widened at the admission, her heart swelling sadly.

“Nothing – and I mean, nothing,” she swallowed her anxieties. Should she be admitting this to you now? What if you’re right? What if she doesn’t come back? She paused briefly before deciding to just spit it out. If she was to die while on her journey, she was not going to die without knowing what it felt to be yours.

Even it was for a few fleeting moments.

“will take me from you before I’ve gotten the chance to give you the life you deserve.” She whispered, hands sliding down your arms to take your hands into hers. She rubbed her thumbs over the tops of your knuckles. “I love you,” She admitted, whispering your name as she reached a hand up to cradle the back of your head and pressing a firm, loving kiss you your forehead. “I’ll come home to you. I promise.”

‘She loves me?’ You thought, your brain swirling with excited thoughts as she pressed a kiss your your forehead. Your grip on her top tightened, and you finally mustered the courage to look into her eyes. Oh, how you loved them.

Seeing how this may be the last time you may every get the pleasure of seeing them, you reached your hands up and cupped her cheeks with a heavy sigh, hands shaking. Her eyes stormed with several emotions. Embarrassment? No… Love? Yes, and you were thrilled that it was openly aimed at you.

With the courage boost of her gaze on you, you shakily traced a thumb over her bottom lip, swallowing down the thick emotions that you felt bottling up. Her breath hitched, but she didn’t shy away from you. She never has.

You slowly leaned up, brushing your lips against her own before finally pressing them together, a mournful whimper leaving Mizu’s throat the second they made contact. Was this the only time she would ever be able to kiss you? She wondered, gripping your wrists softly as she eagerly kissed you back, her stomach flipping.

After what was too soon for either of you, Mizu pulled away, much to her own dismay. It was time.

You swallowed back a cry before pressing your foreheads together, “I love you too.”

You didn’t think she’d be gone for so long.

The first day was miserable.

The first month? Miserable.

The first six months? You guessed it!

Miserable.

The first year? Not any better.

You started to visit your grandfather more often to make sure he was cared for and still alive, you often cooked him dinners and stayed the nights to eat with him. He was the only thing besides your concealed weapon that really connected you to Mizu now that she was gone, and your frequent visits to him had interfered with your attempts at an arranged marriage, which resulted in your father doubling down and finally marrying you off to a lord after nearly two years of Mizu’s absence.

He hardly paid any attention to you, which was a blessing for you. It gave you more time to practice your archery and hunting, letting you keep a piece of Mizu with you. It also promised an easier escape for whenever Mizu came back.

Which she did.

Half dead though, which wasn’t ideal.

A man who you now knew as Ringo came crashing into the woods where you practiced archery at the request of your grandfather, and the moment you heard Mizu’s name slip out of his mouth you were sprinting towards your grandfather’s home. He had heard you sprinting through the woods, panting harshly before you slide one of the doors open. He placed the large metal tongs in front of your stomach before you could run to Mizu, guiding you over to the table to grab something to eat.

“You’ll do the boy no good if you cannot take care of yourself while you care for him, child.” He bonked your head with the tool, hobbling away after you walked over to Mizu with the meal, kneeling down beside her and setting it down beside you.

Your hand didn’t dare make contact with the injury on her forehead, but gently settled against her cheek. Your throat tightened from the overwhelming myriad of emotions washing over you the moment you laid eyes on her pale skin, you reminded yourself that she came home to you. Alive. But the look and thought her physical state worried you beyond anything you could reassure yourself with.

You had politely asked and instructed Ringo to deliver a message to your “husband” (to you, he was just some deadbeat you were legally tied to. He was already close to his deathbed before the few days that had gone on before Mizu’s abrupt arrival) that you were staying with your grandfather for a few days, falsifying an injury that he supposedly sustained that you needed to help him with. Which wasn’t exactly a lie, somebody you cared about was injured, it just wasn’t your grandfather.

Of whom made sure to put you to work while you were there, gathering firewood for him and assisting him to make tea and Ringo to make dinners for the three of you until one of the injured had woken up. It wasn’t the person you wanted to wake up most though.

Taigen, had been the first to rouse from his brief coma. You were not his biggest fan, but you knew him from the years you’d spent growing up by his side in the same village. Mizu never went into depth about what Taigen and his friends had done to her before the two of you met, but she said enough to make you strongly dislike the man.

He was surprised to see you, especially in the getup you were in, dressed similarly to Mizu. In your defense to yourself, how were you supposed to hunt in the kimonos that the women usually wore?

Today, Ringo was tailing your grandfather everywhere, claiming to be his new apprentice and Taigen was off exploring Kohama for the first time in years. You leaned against the building and watched as Ringo rambled while pulling out the firewood your grandfather needed, and your grandfather grumbled under his breath in irritation.

You let yourself chuckle, something you hadn’t done in a long while before your head whipped around at the sound of a groan coming from inside the house. You turned on your heel and jogged inside, your jaw dropping as you gasped at the sight of Mizu. She was sitting up, her hand pressing against the injury that had been stitched up by Ringo before you’d been alerted of her presence in your home.

You quickly ran forward and fell to your knees, engulfing her in a tight embrace. You felt her stiffen as you began to cry into her nape, but she seemed to recognize you quickly and returned the embrace, shutting her eyes tightly.

When you felt her warmth beneath your fingertips, it felt like you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. She came home. To you. And she was alive.

“Mizu…” You laughed through a sob, your hands shakily grabbing the fabric covering her shoulders. Relief flooded through your system as she rested a hand at the small of your back, tugging you closer against her. “You’re alive! Oh my god, you’re alive.” You pulled back, shaky hands cupping her cheeks gently.

She brought a hand up to grab one of your own to steady your touch, leaning into your hand tenderly before turning into it and pressing a kiss to your palm. It felt good to be home. You were home, still. After all these years, after Mikio, after everything, you remained constant, unmoving. One of the only people that were consistently by her side after everything.

“I missed you,” She mumbled, her right hand coming up to gently rub your chin with her pointer finger while her left hand rested against one of the hands on her face. “I’m sorry I was gone for so long.”

You laughed through continuous tears, shaking your head softly, “I’m just glad you’re back, dumbass.” You held her face a little tighter, sniffling. “Even if you were half dead.”

“I kept my promise, didn’t I?” She joked, gazing into your eyes. They still held so much kindness and love for her… god, she didn’t deserve you.

“Barely…” You pouted, beginning to litter kisses over her face. She laughed softly, enjoying the affection far too much for her own good. She couldn’t leave you behind again, not now. Two years without you was already enough torture. You finally lingered your mouth over her own when the door opened, and you both turned your gazes to see Taigen awkwardly standing in the doorway.

“Was I…” He clears his throat. “...interrupting something?”

Mizu scoffs, rolling her eyes, “When do you not?” She asked rhetorically, beginning to bicker with the man.

Before he left again, he started mumbling something about how ridiculous Mizu was being and how he didn’t need this today. You couldn’t help but snicker at the mans grumbles, turning to face Mizu again, who was already smiling dotingly at you. She grabbed your face softly in one hand, and you melted into the touch that was missed and yearned for.

“Now where were we?”

Platonic Yandere Neuvillette Alphabet

Happy Birthday, Hydro Dragon.

(with Child!/Teen! GN! Reader. Second Person P.O.V.)

It's my first attempt in making an alphabet (both writing and making one from the scratch)

A - Adopt (How long will it take for them to start planning "to adopt"?)

It's hard to pinpoint the exact moment. Neuvillette's affection resembles a river flow. It's starts, it flows and, eventually, it will reach the sea. There won't be a specific event, or day. He will meet you, he will know you better and, one day, will just spontaneously come to the conclusion that he wants to adopt you.

B - Baby (Is age of their "adoptee" important to them? Will they reconsider "adoption" because of the age?)

Not really. Neuvillette will be equally happy with Baby, Child and Teen. If needed, melusines will help him keep an eye on you. Besides, who would dare to say something to Iudex of Fontaine, who is having his adorable baby in a sling during trials?

C - Cage (How free their "adoptee" will be?)

Neuvillette will take you anywhere you want, as long as he is near you. You can go anywhere you want as long as you have at least three melusines following you. But, you can visit any room in his house, Neuvillette won't mind at all.

D - Domestic (Beside the room, what did they do in their in the house for their "adoptee"?)

Neuvillette made a pound for Leisurely Otters near his house, so you can have some company when he and melusines are busy.

E - Enthusiasm (How enthusiastic they are about the whole "adoption" ordeal?)

Very. The moment he decides to adopt you, Neuvillette wants to do it as soon as possible. He will immediately start decorating a room for you, buy toys and clothes.

F - Family (Will they insist on being called father/mother/brother/sister etc.?)

Neuvillette wants to be called father. He won't outright make you calk him 'father', but he will constantly call himself your father every time he talks to anyone. He is waiting, when one day you will give up and call him 'dad'.

G - Guilty (Do they feel guilty for taking their "adoptee" from their previous life?)

No. Not really. Neuvillette firmly believes, that what he did was right, even if your biological family were good people.

H - How (How exactly the "adoption process" will go?)

Neuvillette will try to find your biological relatives, with help from melusines, plant the evidence and then anonymously tip the nation law enforcement. All of it to make sure, that he is the only one, who can adopt you.

I - Ill (What will they do, if their "adoptee" became sick, and they can't treat them on their own?)

Neuvillette is prepared for that. He has Sigewinne who will help with taking care of you.

But, if there is something serious, so serious, that you need to spend some days in the infirmary of Fortress of Meropide, and, if your relatives are here, Neuvillette will consider forcing Wriothesley into keeping them in Production Zone 24/7. Neuvillette will ask melusines to get your relatives in trouble, forcing Wriothesley into locking them as a punishment.

J - Joke (What kind of parent they are? Serious or Fun?)

Serious, but not against the idea of playing games with you.

K - Kill (Will they kill for their "adoptee"?) + Bonus Round [Kind] (Are they kind towards their "adoptee"? Kind in a universal way, not be n their own eyes?)

Not for "adoption". Neuvillette doesn't want to traumatize you. He wants you to be happy and see him as a kind father. He is kind towards you, and, if people knew about his interactions with you (exept the reasons for jailed relatives), they will also call him a good father, if only slightly controlling.

But, if someone dare to hurt you after you were "adopted"... Let's just say, Neuvillette is a dragon, and dragons aren't to be messed up with.

L - Liquid (Do they have any special drink they make for their "adoptee"?)

Water with sweet syrups.

M - Meal (And what about meals?)

Neuvillette will try to make your favorite food. Even if you prefer deep-fried food.

N - No (What they will never do to their "adoptee"?)

Neuvillette will never ever hurt you or make you cry. He is extremely patient, and won't raise his voice while speaking with you.

O - Obvious (Is it possible to catch on their intention to "adopt"?)

It's almost impossible. For that one need to observe Neuvillette, melusines and even vishaps.

P - Place (Favorite place to took their "adoptee")

Merusea Village. Neuvillette will be happy, if he sees you making friends with melusines.

Erinnyes Forest. Neuvillette also likes to take you here to play with vishaps. You can do whatever you want with vishaps. One glare from Neuvillette will cut all growls short.

Q - Quit (Is there anything, that will make them reconsider to "adopt"?)

There is a slim chance. If you have a perfect relationship with your relatives, he will consider to give up. However, the moment he sees even the smallest frown on your face, the "adoption" will start again.

R - [Character Specific Letter] Rain (Will Neuvillette took their "adoptee" for a walk during rains?)

It's one of the things, that Neuvillette will insist on doing with you. Of course, he won't go out with you during storms or very cold rain, but he wants to soak up with you under the rain as often as he can.

S - Sharing (Do they "adopt" because they wanted to give love to someone, or they want someone to give love to them?)

To give. His reason for "adoption" were for protecting you and giving you parental love you deserve.

T - Thing (What is the first thing they get for their "adoptee"?)

Before "adoption" was concluded - warm blanket for your new room.

As an "adoption" present - any toy of your liking.

U - Unite (Will they welcome someone into the "family"?)

Melusines, of course. And, if you have younger siblings, they are also welcomed into the family.

Neuvillette isn't sure about Wriothesley, Clorinde and Furina, so he keeps them away.

V - Vacation (Will they take their "adoptee" on vacation?)

Depends. If you are from Fontaine, he will easily take you on vacation to other nations.

I completely agree that if you're boycotting a piece media or other, we shouldn't pirate and talk about the media itself, cause it defeats the purpose of bringing attention to the cause.

However, we should advertise the boycott by expressively writing #boycotttxcompany, since it allows to get more traction and inform investors of those companies that the public has an issue with them; hence the investors can withdraw their support/investments in x company (-> company loss ->policy change).

i'm not gonna say any names but you guys do know that when you're boycotting something you're also not supposed to be talking about it online, right ? yes, stop using that product and pirate that movie, you're doing great. but talking about it on the internet, even in a negative way, counts as advertisement. if you don't use censors or code-words to refer to them then that company you are trying to boycott is still getting attention. even if it's not positive, it is still attention.

companies rely on being relevant, not just getting money. they are constantly grasping at the tiniest bits of attention they can get. companies that have been known to never make advertisements are now suddenly all over public bus ads, metro stations, billboards etc. they have gone from making 10 posts a year to at least 20 each month on their social media accounts. don't give them any reactions, don't engage with their posts, don't make them think you still have their attention. we are making amazing progress, but we will only truly win against them if we completely ignore them and let them crumble.

nona's chakra thoughts align and she wants something

they all find out they're alive and well and gideon rises

nona has lost the ability to move and doesn't quite remember how she was able to do what she did

pyrrha proceeds to carry her around again

like the 0 years baby she actually is

and gideon goes "Home, sweet home"

WE'RE BACK WHERE IT ALL BEGUN

camolyctor paul atreides asks gideon where they are and congratulates nona for her parking precision

pyrrha wants to ask what that was in the river, since it wasn't an RB

but gideon hears something nobody else can hear and decides to just go on her own

so that leaves camolyctor paul and a pyrrha carrying nona to chase after her

nona asks about tsundere pash but she has to stay with angel teacher, who got scrambled around in the landing

don't know what good would tsundere pash do in this situation and I think she wouldn't even want to be there if asked, but nona has a crush or whatever this is

how tsundere pash managed to attract the earth personification or whatever, idk, but I also know nothing about attracting anyone, so who am I to doubt game

nobody can see shit and pyrrha says anastasia should have added skull-shaped fairy lights to the ninth

nona sees the light, but a literal one for now, because they find a tunnel with light inside it

I'm holding gideon's face in my hands, putting my forehead against hers and asking her patiently in which universe does she think she can believe a word that man says

gideon says that the entities use revenant magic and that they're waiting for crux to kick the bucket to use him as well, so they'll eventually get to him anyway

if they're waiting for crux to die, they can join the congregation of people who've been waiting, with gideon at the front of it

crux has time and energy to be rude af to everyone around him, especially gideon

nona interrupts the family reunion to announce that there's more of these guys coming soon, so they have to grab crux and move on

gideon is about to stay around and throw hands with a bunch of revenants but pyrrha tells her that "any kid in the Cohort knows the mission comes first"

since when is gideon's priority the Cohort, I asked myself at this point, but anyway

nona sees a figure with dark robes and a pale face swaying in the archway, which doesn't look good

nona starts the description of something that took me a minute to understand was an elevator

gideon asks crux, who had been promoted to seneschal before they left for canaan house, where aiglamene is

crux tells her she's dead and gideon would have had a heart attack if that would still affect her body

but nona tells her he's lying

what's the point in lying if we're going where the remaining ninth is, you dramatic old bastard????

they ask crux how long the thingies have been in town and he says he has to answer because they're holding "the Reverend Daughter"

which, they technically aren't, but anyway

says they've been there for about a day

they're looking for the youngest of them, which gideon thinks is tough luck for them

they use bodies but don't seem to be interested in bones

camolyctor paul is still trying to fix it but gideon says that, since it's "spirit shit" (technical term) the only thing you can do, if you're really good, is ward people so that they aren't taken

gideon is about to say "how bad are we" but corrects to "you" in the last second, in another way to attempt to cover up the fact that she cares deeply and isn't fooling anyone

it's a family thing, commander wake sounds like she was very tsundere as well

pyrrha says she was there before it was known as the Anastasian and that she "painted a nursery mint green" which ????????

also, her arm gets scratched with pyrrha's zipper

they end up in a corridor with a bone gate and gideon asks for aiglamene

aiglamene arrives and nona compares her to what she thinks sriracha girlie will look like if she grows older

I can see the vision, actually

aiglamene passes a pike to sister berta, who nona says might be honesty's age, and I am reminded there were supposed to be new people in the ninth, according to dr reverend emperor john in book 2

I can't keep up with everything, so much happens at all times

aiglamene says they welcome back the reverend daughter and it's like that scene in mulan

gideon then reveals that she's very much not alive and goes "You always said I'd come back in a box"

so aiglamene goes all feral with nona, believing her to be harrowcita

which is a nice change of pace, I missed people getting angry on gideon's behalf

but gideon tells her that it isn't harrowcita in there, it's just her body

and what's left of it, because it's getting complicated to keep it alive

pyrrha starts flirting with aiglamene

(pyrrha has a type for women in command who get angry quickly)

and she calls her a "brandishment baby", which I felt like a generational name

the ninth also seems to not be in good terms with what the emperor might want and aiglamene says last time they dealt with that was thirty years before

nona is laid on the ground next to a heater to warm up a bit and someone kisses her shoe, which she thinks is very unhygienic, to the point that not even kevin would do it

pyrrha asks what happened to her arm and nona tells her about the zipper

nona realizes that's her first wound and everyone realizes they need to keep it moving

nona says that the more she goes back, the less harrow resists because she wasn't made for it, she isn't "the right shape"

she also tells them that, when she's back, she won't help them and she'll be different, because knowing makes her not be nona and she won't be able to love anymore

pyrrha says that she was loved and liked by a lot of people and goes "what's like except a love that hasn't been invited indoors?" because the time to make sentimental speeches is here

yandere twin starts talking in that way in which she says stuff, that tries to seem she's unbothered and everything is beneath her but she actually cares a great deal about it

she reminds me of those youtubers who think that acting like they don't care and making a show of having to drink wine in order to get through what they're talking about will make us overlook the fact that they made a 1 hour video about the topic in question, which means they do care a great deal, and acting in a "non-fangirl way" won't make them seem "more credible"

and then nona realizes gideon and yandere twin are wearing "friendship bracelets"

my brain is short circuiting a bit at this because last time I heard of them, they were at each other's throats

camolyctor paul reminds them that harrowcita's body is on a time limit

yandere twin says harrowcita would want to die rather than open the tomb, as if she hadn't opened it already once

she asks for gideon's opinion but gideon suddenly can't read

they keep acting like besties, which's got everyone and me shocked and weirded at

they're super friendly until gideon goes like "anywayyyy gotta open the tomb, though"

yandere twin does not like that idea

she calls gideon a "three way double crosser" which is one level lower than pyrrha's quadruple crossing record

gideon is saying a bunch of stupid ass stuff

that dr reverend emperor john doesn't care if they kill ice cube barbie, that she'll be his cavalier

yandere twin also thinks all of that is bs and she can't really believe that

idk if this is actually about that or about harrow, honestly

gideon says dr reverend emperor john is very depressed and yandere twin starts talking about who he's sleeping with, which I don't care to know

gideon also doesn't want to hear it, but she's ageist about it because he's allegedly sleeping with a sixty year old guy

that's the least of anyone's concerns

yandere twin is the one making more sense, which scares me tbh, and says she doesn't know what he'll become with ice cube barbie and asks what I'm also wondering: "Is this about Harry, after all?"

gideon gets all defensive without answering the question and tells yandere twin to leave with coronabeer and stop bothering her

gideon insists on dr reverend emperor john wanting to kill ice cube barbie and yandere twin slaps her

yandere twin says he loves ice cube barbie and needs her and without her he's nothing and they need to keep him that way

which again makes me feel like I've lost part of the narrative while looking through nona's perspective

and, at that, nona starts losing her nona-ness

she begins to fall apart, exploding from the inside out, and both yandere twin and gideon run to her

someone says "Keep it together. Wherever you are, idiot, I know you can hear me. Keep it together"

I thought that was gideon talking to harrow, but I'm not sure

camolyctor paul tells pyrrha to "go" and pyrrha shoots yandere twin with a magic bullet

a magic bullet which isn't the blender they made harrow in, another magic bullet

pyrrha says she was saving the bullet for dr reverend emperor john, which would have been a much better use for it, but anyway

gideon and pyrrha carry nona while camolyctor paul instructs to "open the door"

nona, who starts talking more like ice cube barbie, refers to harrowcita as "the baby", which is funny but also accurate since she was The Baby, you know, the Ninth Blender Baby

she starts remembering when she was there before, with dr reverend emperor john, who took her there saying he wanted to show her something

I WOULDN'T PUT IT PAST HIM TO HAVE GOTTEN INSPIRATION FROM IT, TBH

the corridor has things that were disabled and others that are yet to be disabled, but pyrrha says they need fresh thanergy for it

gideon says they should kill her but, since she's already dead, it won't work

pyrrha goes all mushy for wake again and says they should kill her, that if wake had asked her she would have died with her for this

pyrrha always gets very emotional in stressful moments

meanwhile, ice cube barbie no longer nona keeps remembering that she was dr reverend emperor john's cavalier and that she loved him and he loved her because he loved "the world"

idk about that tbh but ok

ice cube barbie no longer nona says she hadn't come on purpose, she was brought by harrow, the kiss and the tear

lots of fairy tale kissing in this book series

crux says they should kill him instead

everyone wants to die suddenly

except for nona, which is ironic

gideon goes "Die for her...it's the only goddamn good you'll ever do her"

aiglamene and camolyctor paul keep insisting if crux is sure and gideon is like "can we kill him already?"

not with those words, but she's like metaphorically pointing at her watch like judge judy

ice cube barbie no longer nona keeps remembering how johnny boy cask of amontillado-ed her and she asked where was anastasia while he was doing it

crux and gideon keep arguing and gideon starts reading her pedigree receipts

she says "I want you to know who I am!" and crux goes "You died as you lived, Gideon Nav—a disappointment to me—and to God"

idk if he was being an asshole on purpose so she'd kill him already or if he just wanted to be a nasty bastard until the very end

also, I don't know if gideon really believes all this, because we haven't seen her perspective in this book, but it'd be sad if she does

I mean, I get it, she lived without an identity and being naruto-ed in the ninth for it, and suddenly she's princess amelia mignonette thermopolis renaldi

but it'd be very sad if she thinks that what makes her worthy is who she was born as or who her father is and not who she actually is

we love you for you, gideon sweetie

more so in spite of your dad than because of him, actually

you're worthy just for existing and you've done good and brave things just being you, before you knew of your background

gideon kills him but feels terrible still, because there are a lot of issues to unpack that killing a dreadful old man can't fix

and the descriptions of the people are like "child 1" "child 2", so

these books make me feel very dumb very often

yandere twin comes in for the kill but harrow stops her and says that, if she tries to kill ice cube barbie, their vow will be nullified and she'll kill her

yandere twin tells her she doesn't know what she's doing and harrow says "Not lately, but now"

yandere twin says she's half dead to which harrow replies "I am as one half-dead, but you would be two-halves dead, bitch"

I feel like I'm having a stroke

I feel like they're not really talking like shakespeare in the park, that's how ice cube barbie hears it, but idk at this point

yandere twin goes into her mocking flirty kinky territory and says "I only die of longing for thee"

and harrow goes "Then perish"

ice cube barbie then gets up and smacks yandere twin across the tomb

skeletons start coming up but when ice cube barbie lifts the sword, they all go like "better not"

now we're stating to call ice cube barbie "alecto", which I'm not gonna do, because that nickname was signaled upon me by apollo himself

and, now that I think about it, if this book was gonna be part 1 of alecto and then author got carried away, makes sense that it's the same bitch

anyway, pyrrha calls to ice cube barbie and she goes "he has never appeased me, and now all he has done was teach me how to die"

ice cube barbie remembers "the vow" and turns to harrowcita

she raises her sword, but then remembers her from her dreams and doesn't strike her

harrowcita tells her she's loved her all her life and that she can kill her if she wants

which would make this a very very bad day for gideon

ice cube barbie is angry but lifts her up and kisses her and draws blood, because she can't be not feral about anything

ice cube barbie is confused of why harrow isn't appeased by this because that's "how meat loves meat"

gotta teach this earth entity about different kinds of love

through harrow's blood, ice cube barbie understands what she is

at this point I went "a blender baby?"

but she says she's "the blood of the tomb keeper"

so then I got that she meant anastasia lol

ice cube barbie apologises for dr reverend emperor john killing anastasia's cav

testing my memory, these people, had to double check who samael was

she swears to harrowcita the way she swore to anastasia and says "I am in your service until you bid me the favour, and whatsoever you appoint I shall perform, and consider the vow rendered. This is what I promised, until such a time as you deal with me as you see fit"

what was going on between ice cube barbie and anastasia????

harrow thinks she's not worthy of the vow

but ice cube barbie kneels, offers the sword and cuts harrowcita's hand so her blood is on the sword and goes "Notwithstanding, I offer you my service"

and then gideon, very angrily, shouts from the shore "Get in line, thou big slut"

we love gideon

there's a time skip then and ice cube barbie ends up in dr reverend emperor john's ship

she says she still finds the river dead

dr reverend emperor john is butt naked, drunk and looking a mess

The Disability Library

I love books, I love literature, and I love this blog, but it's only been recently that I've really been given the option to explore disabled literature, and I hate that. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be able to read about characters like me, and now as an adult, all I want is to be able to read a book that takes us seriously.
