Aaaaaaaaand here on the left we have some very pretty handpainted jewelry boxes that I made almost a year ago for my friends - I had so much fun playing with bright colours I definitely wanna do something similar again!

My (not diagnosed but pretty sure) ADHD successfully keeps me from posting my crafts, so I just decided to post whenever I remeber instead of any schedule (not that there ever was any). Expect a new post... sometime in the future ;)

18 year old newlyweds second time alexia x r couldn't afford actual wedding rings so scraped by with what was essentially cheap costume jewelry that turned their skin green from wearing it too much for years (Eli offered to pay for them and was immediately rejected), 22 year old alexia getting her wedding ring tattooed so she would never have to take it off for matches, older alexia and r exchanging new wedding rings after getting back together and while the rings are not ostentatiously expensive they both spent months with a designer creating custom designs and engravings for them

They went from Haribo rings on the playground to cheap costume jewellery to beautifully handcrafted rings customised to their style with bits of their vows engraved on the inside and R wears Alexia's on a necklace when she has to remove it for matches

So I work for a jewellery firm used by members of the British royal family and other foreign royal families, and the industry gossip or whatever you want to call it is that Meghan wanted an emerald from the Delhi Durbar necklace recut into an emerald cut stone with two emerald cut diamonds flanking it while on a rose gold band with pave diamonds… obviously she was told no but as the industry gossip goes, Meghan AND Harry were asking around different firms asking questions about stone recutting and custom made rings from owned stones. She was obsessed with having large, heavy weighing emerald as the centre stone and is for some reason obsessed with emeralds. Apparently its why she had a May wedding and had Archie in May too in order to try and get emerald jewels, and while some have firmly noted that Meghan wanted to customise the Lovers Knot tiara with the Vladimir emeralds, it is said she had also asked about Queen Victoria’s emerald tiara coronet and the tiara worn by Eugenie to various firms like the one I work within.

Well obviously Meghan has zero depth perception because the “Cambridge Emeralds” which are the emeralds used in the Vladimir tiara are way too large to ever fit in the Lover’s Knot.  

When her PR came out in August of 2017 about her getting an emerald engagement ring I knew that she was going to try and make “emerald” her signature color. Much like sapphire for the Princess of Wales. It was Meghan’s way of competing.

What I always found odd is that since then, Meghan has never worn any significant emeralds. I would have thought by now she would have a nice suite of emeralds on her own but instead she flashes her nouveau rich jewelry.

As for Queen Victoria’s emerald tiara that is now the Fife Emerald tiara. I wrote a theory about this years ago and stand by that theory. At the time the tiara was on display at KP and I think that Meghan thought she could just use it as it was there.

Staying in the theme of the same gift for my cousin - here is a hand painted wooden box i made for her. It is quite simple and Sailor Moon themed, with Luna's portrait inside.

It brings me so much joy when I get to make things inspired by my beloved childhood franchises and it brings even more if I can share my work with others!

Yule is both not at all what Regulus expected, and yet completely what he expected, though James has told him that the Potters don’t celebrate the holiday in the way that other Pagans or traditional families do, they remain more lax about it because the Potters have never gotten super traditional and down to the true holiday when they celebrate anything. “We prefer to celebrate how our hearts want to celebrate, not how the textbooks say that we should.” Was James’ way of explaining it, and Regulus liked that. It also explained why there were several aspects of Christmas in the way that they celebrated Yule instead of sticking strictly to the religion’s celebrations. 

That being said, it’s Christmas day and everyone is sitting around the living room. The previous day, Pete and Marlene’s family came around and the families exchanged their presents and Remus stayed long enough the other day that everyone had their gifts wrapped and Remus was able to take his and his family’s gifts to his house when he left. So right now, it’s just the Potters, Sirius, and Regulus. 

Everyone would up at a reasonable time in the morning -- apparently something that Sirius required of the Potters when he moved in because Monty and James have the horrid habit of waking up at the ass-crack of dawn to go running even when it’s cold as fuck outside -- and they all sat around the table, having breakfast and their morning drinks of choice. Then they migrated to the living room where the gifts were sitting. 

Sirius got a bunch of records, some jewelry, and a nice custom leather jacket that Monty and Effie customised for him. James got an assortment of things, including a nice, leatherbound journal from Regulus since they were talking about needing a new journal to track their spells and divination. 

Regulus wasn’t expecting to get as many presents as he did. Some muggle books that Effie thought he might like, advanced potions books from Monty, some of which even had his own notes and annotations and the man telling him that he’d be more than willing to take Regulus on as his apprentice -- which Regulus will deny to anyone who accuses him otherwise that he teared up at the sentiment -- Sirius gave him the present from him but told him to open it privately, which did make Regulus was suspicious. Remus had gotten him some more books, ones that, from the letter that he left in the box, he enjoyed that Regulus might like. 

And James? James got him a whole new set of rings. When questioned, they tilted their head a bit and smiled, “You stopped wearing most of your rings after starting to talk to Remus.” They note, and Regulus hadn’t even realised that they noticed that, “I imagine it’s because most of your rings are silver. These are fake silver rings, though they’re still a good quality so you don’t have to worry about tarnish.”

Sirius nods, “I have the same material, got them from the same store and everything, they’ve lasted me a long time and have no effect on Remus.” 

“Thank you,” Regulus smiles. Admittedly, he had been missing his rings but didn’t want to wear them, “You also made me another ring.”

James nods, “Since your last one broke, I wanted to make you another one.”

“Thank you, Jamie.” Regulus smiles, leaning into their space just a bit more. Effie and Monty opened their gifts next, receiving some random things, though Monty did get Effie a stunning, dainty necklace embedded with diamonds and lapis and James got for their parents cookbook that they had made of all of their parents’ favourite recipes so they could be all in one book. 

When the day was done with and over -- really, when they finished with the whole gift exchange -- then everyone split up and went to do their own thing until later that night. Which is how Regulus found himself lying down with James in their bed, talking quietly and Regulus half asleep, after Regulus and Sirius snuck into the younger’s room and Regulus opened his present from his older brother, that being two new binders, one in almost his exact skin tone and one in black, and the explanation that he knew Regulus was needing new ones.

“You’re not a morning person are you?” James asks, humor in their tone, “We got up at nine in the morning and here you are, exhausted.”

Regulus grumbles, “‘m not a morning person. The only reason I wake up as early as I do is because when I try to sleep in, I hear my mother’s voice shouting at me.”

“An effective internal alarm.” James laughs, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his lips, “I’m glad you liked the rings, and thank you again for the journal.” Regulus doesn't deign them with a response, just choosing to kiss them once more.

Have you ever thought what would be trent/domi's shopping style? Who would be spending more time in selecting items, who would spend more bucks? Who would like to try new things? Would any of them change their mind and return stuff after purchasing 😝 and lastly what is the thing they would rather die than being seen wearing 🤪

Hi anon! ✿ Sorry for the late response, but this is a fun topic to ponder and I ended up having many thoughts, lol! Okay, hmm, so I think that Domi is definitely more eclectic with his sense of fashion, more playful and willing to try new things. I think most of the time he feels comfortable staying within brands he knows, like LV or Gallery Dept, but occasionally some new designer or style will catch his eye and he’ll become super obsessed with it for a month or two. He probably lurks on a few fashion influencers’ pages, clicking through the tags when he sees a cool pair of trousers and then spending ages scrolling through all the options before buying something, maybe ending up with a OOAK customised piece. He will splurge on a statement item and then make sure he has all the other pieces and accessories to match it (shoes, sunnies, etc.) just right. But although he occasionally branches out to independent designers, for everyday/casual clothing he’ll usually stick with brands/designers he knows.

Either way, he loves to wear more unique pieces—his light blue LV backpack with the adorable patches, his checkerboard trousers, the basketball player pants, etc.—and isn’t afraid to make a bold fashion statement. He likes when people think he looks good, but he also really doesn’t care when other people don’t like his sense of style. He can do the fuckboy/frat boy look that everyone expects—and he’ll look hot doing it—but he also can rock a sparkly suit and embrace his camp fashionista side.

Once he’s bought something, he doesn’t do returns—no regrets; he’s very confident in what he likes, even if his best friends or people on social media make fun of him for an outfit.

Ultimately he knows what he likes and wants to have fun.

(I love him for that.)

Trent, on the other hand, cares very much what other people think about him and how he looks. His style is usually a bit more bland because of that, but also, he dresses like he’s born and bred in Liverpool, you know? Nothing too flashy—he’s from a working class town, and his sense of style usually reflects that.

Loves a trackie, loves a hoodie; will usually choose comfort over style. Usually sticks with neutral shades, but they work well on him. He wants people to focus more on his talent and his hard work, and ultimately, he’s more interested in being known as a footballer than a style icon. (However, that obviously doesn’t stop him from being competitive in everything he does, and fashion is no exception. He still thinks he’s the best-dressed in the team, with maybe the occasional exception of Virgil, which Trent will allow just because Virg is the captain and all that.)

He’s lucky that he’s so naturally good-looking, because yeah, he sometimes relies on that face card. But that’s okay, because I mean, look at that face!

Domi will spend more on a single item (and definitely more on jewelry), but Trent will spend more overall. At home, Domi will wear whatever is clean, and in fact wears a lot of team clothing or swag that he’s gotten for free. Trent probably spends a lot of money on trainers, and I bet he has clothing items that he thinks are cool but maybe just too over-the-top for normal situations, so they stay hidden in his closet until he has the opportunity to go somewhere like Milan Fashion Week.

Domi wouldn’t be caught dead in fur. Trent wouldn’t be caught dead in a sparkly suit. (He loves how Domi looked in his though… maybe a little too much to admit. This is why he never commented on Domi’s Instagram post about the Hungarian Male Athlete of the Year award, because he was stressing over how stupid that suit looked but how stupid good it looked on Domi specifically. And kept getting distracted… 😌)

Anyways, these are just my thoughts! Thanks for the ask. 🙏

• looks like a simple silver ring from afar

• only when he let's you get closer, maybe watching him cooking or more, playing with his fingers, you'd be able to see the actual design

• reminder to him to stay soft and kind regardless of how rough the world is

• the ring's nature echoes through the imprint even after not being in place anymore

• dude would definitely be surrounded by a bunch of animals and creatures when he's in the forest like a Disney princess

• his friends would randomly come to him with pretty stones they found and Seunbmin would collect all in a bag that he wouldn't let go off until project ring is done

• others collect gold, diamonds and pearls, but he collects his life, memories, his appreciation for his friends and puts all of that into this piece of jewelry

Jeongin

• a fox lol

• actually has several of them, all gifted by his friends

• he'd be wearing a different one each day to make sure that one feels left out

• when he sees a wild fox on his adventures, he'd hold up his ring in its direction and one time a mother showed up and proudly present him her babies (dude was in awe)

• carries all rings with him on adventures and when his friends feel bad, he puts one of the rings on their fingers to tell them that he's here for them, that he got them

definitely gifts those cute little rings to children in villages he's passing through
