Honestly I'm a bit annoyed by the fact that more "overarching stance" flags are being made, because it REALLY is diluting their meaning. Hazardqueer was made as a reclaimation of the idea that being that type of queer was dangerous, for one, so many of the derived flags lose that meaning, but more importantly...

The whole point is that you don't have to explain.

Not everyone will be able to remember the stances and meanings of every single overarching term, and the more that are made the harder it will be to actually use any of them. And the more likely someone will see a particular one on your profile and just assume it supports what they think is good / bad.

I REALLY recommend looking into -punk terms like joypunk instead, and appending that to hazardqueer or coining your term in the style of a -punk term instead of as a new overarching label. A lot of these are just the same stances as hazardqueer but with some kind of stipulation, like being anti-discourse or focusing on self-expression.

Please reblog if you think this is important too, I feel like this really needs to be said.
