Dante’s notes cutscene where everyone in the bus is having a meal together and each of them is enjoying their respective hamhampangpang dishes. Nothing too evocative, besides the fact it’s their favorites, except that... Ryoshu’s wordlessly crying over her oyakodon on her seat. Dante sees this and loudly train honks, catching everyone’s attention.
<Ryoshu????! Oh my god is she alright I’ve never seen her cry before??!>
She mutters out a “I.M.M.D.” to which Sinclair mindlessly translates with his mouth full of Rösti. That is when we get the reveal that, huh, she has a daughter.

Piltie Jinx💖🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I always thought it’d be interesting to see what would’ve happened if Powder had been left behind or caught at the scene when she triggered Jayce’s lab experiments, when I watched the show like a yr ago that was one of the thoughts that always lingered and I like to think she would’ve been more cut out for Piltover society than the undercity bc she was neglected so much there and I think she’d be more charming to Piltie citizens with her docile nature and intelligence.
No hate to the other characters or Vander but the girl clearly had problems and they all wanted to pretend like they didn’t see it so they could feel better about taking her in and looking after her. She was also weaker and more unexperienced than the rest but they all somehow expected her to pull her own weight in high stress situations.[This unintentionally overlapped with the trailer drop bc I was completely unaware they even released them when I was making this like two weeks ago.]
That’s a whole can of worms that I’d rather not open rn bc then it becomes a whole discussion on her trauma along with poverty and a bunch of other things having to do with the people that were around her. She is given the name Jinny bc they got tired of having to refer to her without a specific name, and becuase she begged Jayce to give her one and he blurted out the first thing he saw lmao.
Anyways. In this the kids and Vi basically leave her at the scene out of fear of getting caught and because they aren’t confident that she could have even survived the blast. They all think she’s dead and Powder experiences memory loss, so law enforcement dumps her on Jayce as a punishment and reminder of how dangerous his lab was and how lucky he is that she’s alive, but along the way Viktor sees her potential in becoming a scientific inventor of some sorts based on the items she had with her when she tried escaping along with the intelligence she displays and he adopts her and takes the load off of Jayce after his probation period form the academy. Her and Jayce have a sibling bond.
I need to draw more of this but her young self experiencing this and growing up in their thriving society and blending into their society. I added makeup on her to show how well she’s managed to integrate into Piltover society and because she indulges in the riches there so much that people even forgot she was originally form the undercity, she pretty much looks and acts like she was born there. The pinkish color she puts around her eyes is her remembering Vi and the purple comes into play later when Viktor’s sickness gets worse.
I originally only drew her as an enforcer bc I got inspired by an edited pin on Pinterest but also wanted her to be an academy student so it’s a bit of an awkward mix but I figured she probably picked up becoming an enforcer as a pastime and way to make money(idk if they make money lmao) bc she can’t rely on Viktor and Jayce to provide for her forever, and because Grayson sort of inspired her a bit (though she is subconsciously reminded of Vi when she’s around Grayson). She also has a funny dynamic with Marcus, with him already being a double crossing loser he tries to be this cool older guy around her and miserably fails every time but only because she’s still young and carefree and because he basically kept it under wraps that she was alive the whole time after finding out that she was Vander’s adoptive daughter. So I guess you could say he just has a fatherly instinct towards her but who knows.
Might draw more of this later and have better details but for now this is it oop.

Last request! (I apologise if i request too much)  I have a funny idea inside of my head, Could you do a dad headcanons of Ghost, Soap, Alejandro + König found out his and F! s/o's child has a innocent crush or how they act towards on their crush. How the 141 boys would react?
I can imagine if their child is a boy, I think they might tease their child about the "crush" thingy. If their child is a girl, ohh boy I think they're a type of a dad who said "no boys until you're 18 young lady" or being protective dad.
bonus: I think some of them might cry on their child for being " grown up so fast"
Hello again!! Don't worry about requesting too much, I love every request I get!! But this idea is so stinkin cute (〃` 3′〃)Thank you for requsting and I hope you enjoy!!
We have a healthy mix of boy!child and girl!child, I really just used whatever I felt fit the best within the character. The child in this is like middle school age or younger here.
→ COD Masterlist
|| How Ghost, Soap, Alejandro + König Would React When Their Child Has a Crush ||
Warnings: Some angst (not really)
Female!Reader // Romantic + Platonic
Tumblr media
|| Ghost
The child is a girl because Girl Dad Ghost brain rot is real
I have mentioned this 100 times but he is observant, right?
So he is back from base for a leave and decides he is gonna go and pick up your child from school
And while he is awkwardly standing among the other parents, he notices you talking with a young boy
He is horrified because you are blushing profusely
Doesn't say anything to his kid but as soon as he comes home and the kid runs off to her room, he just latches onto you and is like "We need to talk."
And your immediately worried because you think something is seriously wrong
Then he just tells you about her blushing at the boy and you let out a little relieved laugh
But then you tell him there is nothing wrong with someone her age having a harmless crush but he can't help it
He is incredibly protective and knows just how cruel young boys can be
He just doesn't want her to get hurt
Expect the next time that he goes to pick her up, he is just glaring this boy down
If they do start dating, the boy better be prepared for the most terrifying shovel talk ever
Tumblr media
|| Soap
We will do a boy child for him
So, I imagine the kid is like smiling at his phone or something at family dinner
And Soap jokingly asks if he is talking to a girl and when the kid blushes and tells him to stop he knows he unintentionally was correct
He is very quiet all throughout dinner until the two of you go to bed
You ask him what's wrong and he just starts silently crying because his son is growing up and he misses so much of it because of work
You just hold him and let him cry it out until morning
You reassure him that you and your son know that his work is important and that you both will also be there for him when he gets back
He has a mildly awkward heart-to-heart with his kid after that about how, despite him having to leave so often, that he would also be there for him
He would then go on to give the kid really bad dating advice
At that point, your quick to swoop in and dispute what Soap says for no other reason to see him get flustered when you explain how he embarrassed himself when the two of you met
Tumblr media
|| Alejandro
We will do a female child for him because, once again, girl dad vibes
Very, very, protective girl dad vibes
When you jokingly mention that your daughter is fostering a crush on someone from school? He needs to know everything
What is this boys name, who are his parents, when did you find out
You will need to take a moment to calm him down before telling him anything else
He would want to talk to the boy immediately, despite you telling him that it's nothing more than a innocent crush
When the two of them meet one time, say your daughter introduces him to the two of you at pick-up one day, he is all intimidating glares
The boy is clearly very nervous so you have to shove him to get him to lighten up
When he sees how happy your daughter is when hanging out with him, he softens
"As long as you're happy, hija."
God help this boy if he ever hurts her though-
Tumblr media
|| König
To keep it even, we will do a boy child for this one
I see him absolutely loving spending one-on-one time with his kid from time to time
So during one of these outings, he admits that there is a girl he likes at his school
He is in shock because of course the kid is at that age but he is still completely caught off guard
If the kid tries to ask for advice he would just have to be like, "Your mother kinda just threw me over her shoulder and I accepted it."
He is not that big of a flirt but he does know a thing or two
Encourages the kid to be observant (not in a creepy way) to pick up on the things she likes
He overall just encourages his kid to be nice and to pay attention to what she likes
He also encourages him to be more outgoing because he regrets not being as open when pursuing you
When König tells you about this later, your all over him with kisses and "awe"s
And who could blame you truly?

NOVEMBERMORGON TELL ME ABOUT AENYS AND MAEGOR'S BASTARD SISTER AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
anon.. stand up! take back your life!
Tumblr media
as per canon Things Happen in 209ac . rip baelor breakspear you were a little too real to be kept alive. 💔 like in canon, aerion gets sent off to lys as a punishment for the whole business with the tourney at ashford - i'm not entirely sure why maekar thought sending his son off to lys without supervision to play with swords with the second sons and hang out in a notably sex work-heavy city would be a good idea . but he sure does do that . maybe he just wants him gone for a bit .
aerion goes off and does whatever a spoiled prince would do in a playground of a city . i think he would enjoy that freedom of not needing to care about his father's constant gaze on him and not needing to care about his marriage even though, by then, it's gotten a little bit better .... he has a blast basically . takes lovers and makes sellsword friends . for the first time ever i guess because i can't imagine aerion ever had that many friends .
meanwhile myrielle is back in king's landing, pregnant and miserable and very very alone . i think in her attempts to get closer to and be more content with her marriage to aerion she unintentionally ends up sort of pushing every other person around her away and then her relationship with aerion also comes crashing down a bit when he goes off . doesn't answer her letters often and doesn't seem especially interested in returning as soon as possible and it's sort of like a really shitty rollercoaster where her mental state and her relationships just go up and down and up and down and up and down . i think after a while she sort of starts sitting around twitching a little bit and tries to find comfort with her ladies and with daeron (oops) and very much projects some bits of aerion onto them . builds up an idea of him and their relationship in her mind by way of pretending other people are him and then he actually returns .... and he's got a bastard with him so every positive thing she's been trying to come up with about him comes crashing down in a split second .
aerea ... :-) hm . it's difficult to say why aerion acts the way he does in any given situation i think but to me he brings her back in part because it's just like, a funny thing to do that he knows will get his wife very heated whether positively or negatively but also because he is a prince that has never needed to take much responsibility and never really needed to face up to much of what he does . his punishment of being sent to lys is barely a punishment. he's never truly had any consequences that make him change or grow as a person . he brings aerea home and gives her a funny name to match with his sons, maegor and aenys, and doesn't really care for what anyone will say . doesn't care for how myrielle will feel about it and doesn't care what court will think because why should he . he indirectly killed baelor and all his father did was give him a nice long luxury vacation so why does it matter if he brings home a little baby that he fathered . my wife always talks about how she wants a daughter and if she doesnt want her just ignore her existence.
myrielle is MAAAAAD mad . first at aerion, because he's the one who shows up and acts like he's done nothing wrong, but i think it very steadily grows into some kind of deep dark resentment for aerea herself . she can forgive aerion in time - because she is, above anything, a noble woman in westeros and as such essentially wholly tied to her husband . she has no choice but to forgive him because she will always be burdened with him, will always need to be pleasant and present for him because that's what she knows is expected of her - whereas she has absolutely no duty to treat aerea well, has no responsibility to her past what aerion demands of her, has no love for her as a mother. it's easy for her to stay mad at aerea, but it's very very difficult for her to stay mad at aerion.
which is sad . because myrielle always wanted a daughter! she wants a child to dress up and play with and teach all the things she knows! but she just can't bring herself to do that for a bastard . can't bring herself to offer aerea that kindness because her entire existence hurts and acts as an element of shame and humiliation. maegor becomes her daughter instead because he is wholly hers, she feels that motherly bond with him completely . he is proof that she is loved and needed and wanted when aerea is a physical manifestation of her thoughts that she isn't any of those things
aerea grows up very lonely and i think to a degree very sad. aerion is not an attentive father to his sons and most definitely not an attentive father to his bastard daughter - she doesn't know who her mother is because, presumably, she's a prostitute with no say in her daughter's life or any means to ever contact or find her and her stepmother is neglectful at best and cruel at worst. while she's definitely got a better life than many other bastards just by virtue of being allowed to stay at the red keep at all, nobody really likes her all that much ..... 😭 westeros is notably so very cruel to bastards and this is not an exception. with that SAID... as much as myrielle hates it i think she would get along with aenys and, to a lesser degree, maegor .. siblings despite the horrors and all . she's soft spoken and kind of quiet so a lot more like maegor than aenys, but myrielle makes more of an effort keeping maegor from hanging out with her LOL so it's never a super close relationship there . aenys likes her . something about being a little bit like maegor i guess
sorry to say that just like these other kids i haven't thought that far with her ... i think she would be very artsy. likes to sing and play music .. kills a harp solo. taps my noggin. thats all i have for now

I have been struck by an idea for Angel Alastor AU
*Alastor's POV*
A couple months into his stay in Hell Alastor finds and figures out how deals work, as well as their roll they play in maintaining this realm. He is excited to try it out and finds out he is really good at it. BUT!! After awhile the people he takes under his care collapse into shows of light. He doesn't get it. What is he doing wrong! the only 2 thralls not leaving are Nifty and husker.
Let's see he takes in children and women who did what they had to do to survive. Check! Give them free housing in the forest he grew with his magic. Check!! Employ the women as either teachers/caretakers for the kids or writers for his radio shows. CHECK!!! Basically build and maintain a self sufficient community that doesn't have to worry about the stress of hell while he get to have his fun. Check fucking CHECK!!!!
No matter how many years pass in hell it keeps happening. It's confusing but that's ok, he only did it because all the most respected Overlords of hell run and maintain communities. His new bestie Rosie, Carmillia, Missi Zilla, Zestial and even that pathetic picture Box that got a lucky hit to his forehead with an angelic dagger ( thankfully Alastor bashed vox's face in before he could back up the memory) has one. Well the Princess is opening a hotel i hopes of rehabilitating sinners should be fun. He just hopes that the letters he wrote for Guy, Emily and his Mom and that they forgive him for his selfish acts.
*Heaven's/Micheal's POV*
It has been years since the one so loved by Heaven went missing because of Adam's carelessness when something miraculous starts happening. The souls of women and children damned to Hell start appearing before the high Seraphim Sera. Despite all the struggles the souls went through and endured, they had one thing in common.
Alastor
When Micheal is filled in on what's happening he doesn't rushes to the observation orb within Heavens Court house. With the help of the very souls Alastor redeemed he lays eyes upon his beloved for the first time in years. The sight is both comforting and devastating as Micheal watches Alastor rub at a nasty scar along his temple.
Of course. Everything makes sense now. His beloved wouldn't abandon everyone he loves on a whim. He didn't know it was possible for the love he has held for his deer to grow deeper because even when trapped in hell under the delusion that they're a demon Al still went out of his way to help others. After many apology's to Guy, Emily and Al's Mom for the deceit Sera decides the best course of action going forward is to call a meeting with Lucifer.....OH, Lucifer sent his daughter in his place. WAIT! She's starting up a redemption project that's perfect we can give her support through the search party now led by a talented exorcist by the name of Vagatha And his beloved's best friend Guy who's a detective turned therapist.
Charlie: "wait uncle, you know redemption is possible?"
Micheal: "Well yes, but not how because my boyfriend the saint who figured out how to do so, got trapped in Hell due to a tragic mistake some years ago suffering a horrible head wound. We were finally able to find him but we don't know how much he truly remembers."
*Lilith POV*
Lilith who has spent the last couple of years getting faded off champagne on a beach: "I feel like i'm forgetting something important" -the unopened letters Alastor asked her to deliver sitting at the bottom of her luggage- "If i can't remember, probably not a big deal."
-sleep deprived Anon-
P.S. the thought of Alastor finally finding joy in his after life only to have it be ripped out from under him because he is unintentionally being really helpful is funny and the growing unhinged perspective of Micheal as he searches for his beloved, is absolutely delightful for me
P.S.S. I had to write this down twice so it's a lot longer than it was originally so here's this wall of text-sorry not sorry

imagin javi dating a young woman who’s an elementary school teacher back in laredo😶😶
Javier Peña x f!reader
A/N: I love this idea, my beautiful anon!
Tumblr media
• when Javi returned to Laredo after his time in Colombia he wasn't looking for a woman, nor a family, nor a relationship, despite how hard people tried setting him up with daughters, sisters, cousins or nieces of theirs as everyone seemed to have forgotten his bad reputation after leaving Lorraine at the altar, and as he was now the city's hero after his Escobar years, he was suddenly considered a good catch
• so he still attended the parties he was invited too, greeting old friends and relatives but keeping his emotional distance; Javi knew it was best for him to keep away from women for a while as gossip spread faster than a wildfire in Laredo and he didn't want trouble
• he also didn't want any more hookers, he was also tired of that, he was getting old and he started to feel bad about the fact he had to pay a woman to give him some lovin' for a couple of hours
• so Javi lived his quiet life for a couple of months, just helping his dad out, going for a drink at the local bar, sometimes catching a movie at the small movie theater downtown and even paying a visit to the local library to see if he found anything interesting
• and that was when he ran into you; more like bumped into you, because as he wandered the hallways of books trying to find something that would actually pull him out of that boredom wormhole he got himself into, he saw a pretty young thing carrying a lot of books in her arms - probably more than she could carry on her own, who definitely didn't see him coming and went right towards him
• so technically he didn't bump into you, you bumped into him
• and even if Javier managed to steady you with his large, strong hands on your hips, several books fell on the floor just as you looked at him a little shocked and confused at what had happened
• and with your faces mere inches away from each other's, unintentionally staring into each other's eyes you realized Javier Peña was painfully handsome
• yes, you knew who Javier Peña was because there wasn't a living soul in Laredo who didn't, everyone had heard the stories about Laredo's local anti hero, from a man who was known for being the lady's catch and leaving his poor bride at the altar, to the brave and fierce agent who managed to take down the biggest drug lord in the world
• but what the stories didn't specify was how handsome he truly was
• and Javi wasn't different either, while he held you by the hips, he couldn't even believe his eyes, you were definitely the most gorgeous woman he'd ever seen
• no one in Laredo, Colombia Washington DC or anywhere in the world had been as beautiful as you were
• he was actually so distracted he only then realized he was still holding you by the hips, clearing his throat as the two of you shared a shy laughter at what had happened
• you both apologized for your clumsy first encounter and introduced each other, while he helped you pick the books up from the floor and carry them to the nearest table - after all, Javier was a gentleman
• he knew he should leave and not bother you, but instead, he sat at the table as the two of you chatted, he humbly told you about his (former?) job as a DEA agent even if he wasn't very sure yet and he was surprised to see you were a school teacher, fresh from college
• though he was clearly interested in you, he was also kind of upset to know he was old compared to you, the age gap was quite relevant and he assumed you would only want to hang out with guys your age
• but Javier couldn't be further from the truth, he was just into you just as you were into him; you liked each other and the attraction was big, so it didn't take long for you to start dating
• Javi thought it was funny because he hadn't been in a relationship for long, but it finally felt good and right
• and he was loving to fall into that domestic rabbit hole with you, every day meeting after work for quiet dinners, great sex and enjoy each other's company
• and just as Javi opened up about his job to you, you told him about yours and let me tell you: he had a lot of fun listening to the crazy, funny and shocking stories you told him about your students
• he liked some kids he had never met just by the sweet way you talked about them, and he hated others just because they made you stressed at work
• he loved helping you grade papers and tests, sitting next to you with a red pen and sharing a pile of paper so you could enjoy your weekend together
• he would totally meet you at school to bring you lunch, pick you up for a date or just to put on his badass DEA agent face and scare the kids who mess around too much in class and annoy the hell of you
• he loves listening to you teaching the kids and he can't help but picture the day he will have a tiny little Peña attending your class, he just wasn't sure if his little Peña would call you 'teacher' or 'mommy'

personally i am of the headcanon that if anya and damian started dating as teenagers, loid wouldn’t be fiercely overprotective of anya -- he’d like damian and trust anya by that point enough to make her own choices and would want to protect damian, knowing his family background and how crap everyone in his life is.
while he’d be wary of her being with a boy who's name would make him dangerous by association, he’d want to protect damian and give him a place of sanctuary. he’d remember the little boy he met at eden academy who held onto every single word his absentee father said to him. he’d remember how damian had stared at his father’s retreating back, like he’d strung all the stars in the sky, and his heart would break for him because that boy is the reason loid began spywork in the first place. he wants a world where children are safe to be children the way he was never allowed to. loid would absolutely adore damian if anya brought him home.  think he’d know that damian would never break anya’s heart deliberately, because he knew what it was like to have a broken heart before he was even in the double digits. loid would see parts of his own childhood reflected in damian’s cold relationship with his father, and wouldn’t want to give damian something else to fear. he’d want his home to be a place damian could feel safe in.
however my headcanon is that YOR would be fiercely protective of anya, especially after nearly losing track of her as a child and all of the crazy antics they’ve gone through. by the point anya is a teenager, assuming she learned anya’s backstory (which despite us not knowing, i know has to be sad and full of illegal child experimentation), i can see yor being that much more protective of this girl who has never had a proper family until she stumbled into a fake one that became real. i don’t think she’d deliberately threaten damian, but i can 100 percent see her going all, “cleaning all my knives in full view of my daughter’s boyfriend” mode unintentionally, and using several opportunities to show just her intense strength and how damian better not get any funny ideas here.
i do think she would love damian a lot, and like loid, would want to take him in and protect him too -- she just would be protective of anya a lot, especially at first, and it would probs make damian nervous. i think loid would have to mediate for yor and remind her to hold back some/that damian isn’t the threat here and to bring her back to herself

Bad Writing Can Make A Privileged Character Unintentionally Unlikable Or Likable
Tumblr media
Although my opinion won't be popular on this site, I don't think being privileged prevents you from being sympathetic or having a hard life (specifically when it comes to abuse). However, I do think it comes down to how the narrative executes and treats said privileged character. This can be shown in Velma's interpretation of Fred and Stolas from Helluva Boss. The former is an example of trying to make this guy a privileged, rich white boy who who are supposed to hate for getting everything in life handed to him just like Velma (blah). While with Stolas, who are supposed to sympathize with him despite being rich he has a bad home life with his wife, father was distant from him, and trapped in an arranged marriage.
However, it's funny enough I have seen more people feel sorry for Fred than Stolas as time goes on. The reason is despite his rich background his parents really are the worst compared to Paimon who was at worst a neglectful parent while his parents are control freaks who belittle him for being babyish and later his mother even planned to kill him to swap brains just because she believed he would ruin everything she built. The show also goes out of it's way to shit on him and make him the butt of many jokes as a way to do lame "white people" suck. Seriously, despite his supposed privilege he takes a lot of damage in the show: being falsely accused of murder, body shamed for having a tiny dong, being sent to prison (and people relishing that a white man was falsely imprisoned), having his own mother try to murder him so she can have someone more competent run the family business, and finally he witnesses said mother being murdered. Again an example of despite the narrative telling us he has it good everything that was shown shows that his so-called privilege doesn't protect him from the tons of shit thrown at him.
And again going back to Stolas he in contrast is constantly shown to have everything in the narrative try to treat him as a sympathetic kicked dog who just wants to find love despite the stigma of being with a lower class demon. However, everything in this seems forced because it's made to ignore how much power he has over Blitzo which has been the main source of problem which is he hovers the book over him in exchange for sexual favors. As a result Blitzo feels trapped in the relationship due to Stolas having the upperhand. However, the narrative refuses to fully embrace it and skirts around it to prevent Stolas from being problematic. Also despite being shown as a cheater the narrative again goes out of it's way to try to make it justified that he did it due to making his wife so one dimensionally abusive. And again it's been brought up his daughter is a prop made to make him seem like a good dad, when in reality he has put his love for Blitzo over his daughter to the point he seems to neglect her more but we are expected to her to just tolerate it because he's supposedly trying. As a result, we don't see him sympathetic despite his privilege we see how privilege he is and wish he'd get over himself.
I do think that makes the biggest difference between the two because of the fact that Fred was allowed to change and realize he was crappy while the narrative enables Stolas to always view himself as a victim and dismiss his actions as not hurting people. Again I do not believe being privilege dismisses you from sympathy because the point of equality is that sympathy can be given to anyone regardless of status. However, I can't be sympathetic to someone who tries to cry about something while abusing their privilege on someone which is what Stolas does often, but the narrative wants to think everything is good. It just winds up making me hate him more and realize what a pathetic pos he is, while someone like Fred is made to be pathetic actually tries to better himself and hopefully does grow even more in the second season. Again bad writing is what it takes to sympathize with or not with how a privileged character is presented.

Hürrem reply !🌸
Yeah that moment was LIVE ! It happened in the same time ! I was so surprise ! _
Well for her form, for me Vassago has giving her education about the Goetia for sure. So she probably know how in theory but doesn't have the practice ?
Her father,  in his eyes, (even if he never said it to her and their relationship of father-daughter is complex) Hürrem is for him a Goetia and he doesn't care she doesn't have the title or the secret that she is.
But in another way because of his mistake (he think it is his mistake), he has lost his best friend for this child.
Both Parvin and Vassago where just sad and they know each other so well, skinship just happened, in a hope to feel better just for a moment, even if there is not really true love (except the love of friendship) and Vassago gay.
I think that night they must have been in depressed drunk mood.
So in conclusion I think Vassago try to give Hürrem the best without truly being involved. He also need to be careful of Paimon.
_
Ahah the dialogue was so funny ! It make me think of Kuzco, at the end of the movie he just take potion and transform in bunch of animals (he want the one that would change him in human) and some guards are running after him and each time he take a potion he transform in the worst animal ever for the moment
Kuzco *needs to fly* Also Kuzco *transform into a parrot with wings so small we can't even call them tiny*
Same with Hürrem there ! And I just LAUGHED imagining Giovanni's face like "Well, that was not exactly... what I have in mind."
_
Also I realise I actually can rumble and show details and 'spoilers' about Hürrem! Like its not Lolicia.
Sooo I draw Hürrem genealogy tree on her mother side !! I had so much fun !
Tumblr media
So some little things and details !
  - I didn't have a name for the grandmother yet, so I call her Miss Bunny ! She is absolutely the bunny girl from Bambi as inspiration.   - Paimon thinks *"damn it. Too pretty."* about Miss Bunny.
Fun fact : Miss Bunny and Parvin have bunny tails !
  - Hürrem actually look like her grandmother a lot! She has the same hair texture, rabbit's weaskers and shape of face with the plump cheeks. And also her dad, with her general shape.   - Parvin looks a lot like her dad! And has a narcissistic guy, Paimon probably love her more for it and that is why he kept her close to him even if he asked her to stay in her palace all the time.
Miss Bunny, Parvin and Hürrem all have horns that get smaller.
Miss Bunny has big horns with two shades of pink. Parvin has medium horns with two shades of purple. Hürrem as small horns with shade of white and dark green.
Fun fact : Parvin's nose has the shape of a bird beak but she has a normal mouth underneath.
Parvin is truly half Demon, half Goetia. Where Hürrem is a Goetia with parts of demon (bunny fur on tail, weaskers, horns)
Fun fact : the tip of the two feathers on top of Hürrem's head is plum color like the feathers on the back of Vassago's head.
Miss Bunny, Parvin and Hürrem all have two shades of colors in their hair.
Parvin is half-rabbit and half- great horned owl or raven (whatever Paimon is)
Where Hürrem actually developped the parrot form of Vassago to be a special type of parrot : a sun conure parrot.
Also Parvin has purple eyes and stars on her cheeks because of the meaning of her name.
Parvin has bunny ears because in the early design of Hürrem, I draw her with bunny ears but I change my mind.
That is all ! Sorry I rumble a lot but I can finally say some things without spoiling anything! Hope you like it !
_
I will dwell into ibis paint things ! I'm not forgetting ! Have a great day 🌸🌸🌸
Yes, it was quite logical that she knew it in theory but not in practice.
I really liked his father's attitude towards Hürrem from this aspect, even though their relationship is complex, it is nice that he still sees her as a Goetia.
Yes... This is something that really happens in real life too, some fathers can unintentionally blame their children for the loss of their wives (in his case his friend), and this leaves a gap between them.
And I really love how Vassagon tries to give Hürrem the best without getting too involved. But of course he needs to be careful with Paimon.
-+-
Yes lmao I remember Kuzco, it was one of the really good cartoons!
And yes, I can't remember Kuzco ever turning into an animal he wanted throughout the series. Usually, when he wasn't a llama, he was the wrong animal in the wrong place.
And LMAO Yes!! And now he'll have to run away with those little legs because he can't use his wings.
Yes, the same goes for Hürrem. She can't be whatever she wants. But on the bright side, it's a really cool scene when it happens.
And yes that was exactly Giovanni's reaction *Takes the little parrot rabbit and starts running on 4 legs*
---
YIPWPWPWPWEPEPE SPOILERS✨✨✨
First of all, I seriously didn't expect Parvin to be this beautiful.Seriously the design is 10/10 It totally gives off the royal vibe and seriously, whether it's the color palette or the look.
I seriously can't describe in words how beautiful she is.
And I just realized that technically Parvin is Stolas' half-sister. Did they know each other?
--
I think Miss Bunny is pretty good nickname. And Paimon is right, she is really pretty.
-Yes, Hürrem definitely looks more like her grandmother than her mother. And as you said, a little bit of Vassago
-Yes, someone like Paimon would probably like his daugther more just because she looks more like him, but to be honest, Parvin is really beautiful.🛐
-It seems normal for the horn gene to become rarer as the generation progresses, as a result, noble blood becomes more dominant over time.
-The detail on Parvin's nose was very clever!!
-I think it is a very nice design idea that all 3 of them have 2 colors in their hair. It really adds liveliness to the character's hair.
-Paimon is probably a great hornet owl.
- I'll look into it when you mention it. Sun conure parrots are really beautiful, they remind me of mangoes.
(Another Nickname for Hürrem lmao)
-The color of Parvin's eyes and the stars on her cheeks are truly a wonderful detail!!
-Rabbit ears would suit Hürrem, but I think it would be a better choice for her to look more Goetia. So I think you made the right decision.
No no no you don't need to apologize for rumble I seriously love reading what you write!!!! And I seriously love learning more about of your characters, too.Thank you for taking the time to write!!!
But ahm, I mean you can say spoilers, I don't mind UwU
I wish you good luck with ibis paint
Have a good day🌸🌸

Alright, I genuinely want to talk about this
Tumblr media
Because… who was this even made for? I’m being serious. It’s supposed to be anti-woke or whatever but
1) features an incredibly diverse cast;
2) throws around some terms that most conservatives wouldn’t even know the meaning of (for example the neopronoun ze that Karponzi uses);
3) manages to make fun of the protagonist himself, who we are supposed to look at like this perfect example of conservative man (I think this was, however, unintentional);
4) shows (again probably unintentionally) how treating other people (example: your wife-Wendi) like lesser and not believe they could do something, even berating them, automatically causes more chaos than just… treating them like the respect a people deserves (I’m thinking of the infamous episode 4)
It’s not funny and definitely not worth watching, but after doing so I wonder what the writers were trying to say, if they even wanted to say anything at all. Because the “message” is so confused and often contradicts itself.
Like, for example in ep.1 the Birchum daughter ties herself to a fireplace to protest (her mother was painting mohogany white or something) and at the end the mother says something like “I’m happy you fight for what you believe in”
You cannot tell me they didn’t see the analogy with modern protesters, and if they did… why make a point to justify said protests?
It’s all really messed up and my autistic brain can’t let go of this whole thing

~So my ultra-futuristic, utopian endgame vision for Tevan led to this fic (This is officially the second fic I wrote, but the first one I am posting anywhere.) Hope you enjoy, please comment and RB if you like!~
Math Troubles
Summary: On his day off, Buck steps in to help out his and Tommy's teenage daughter with her math assignment, while Tommy is out on duty. Unfortunately, Buck turns out to be more trouble than help, and Tommy has to intervene over the phone.
----
"Dad," Spencer sighed in utter exasperation. "I think your help is taking me longer to do my math homework than if I were to do it on my own!"
"But sweetheart, it's taking longer because you aren't following the exact steps I'm showing you," Buck said adamantly, refusing to admit defeat. The father-daughter pair was sitting on the bed in Spencer's room, with the thirteen-year-old's books and stationery items scattered all around them.
"No. I'm calling Papa right now. Only he can save me from this--- this situation," insisted Spencer. She promptly video-called Tommy despite Buck's protests, desperately hoping he would answer. Meanwhile, Buck ruffled the pages of her Geometry textbook in search of some solid proof to back up his argument. Luckily for Spencer, Tommy's warm and scrunchy smile beamed through her phone's screen in a few seconds. "Hey Spence, my love. What's up?" he asked her.
"When are you going to be home, Papa? I need your help with my math homework, especially with this geometry assignment," Spencer replied, a pleading expression on her face.
"Sorry darling. My shift is on for another six hours at least, so I won't be home until later in the evening. I thought Dad was going to help you out since he is off-duty today?" Tommy enquired with a raised eyebrow.
"There. Thank you, Tommy!" Buck interrupted the conversation, rotating the phone in Spencer's hand horizontally so that Tommy could see them both. "That is exactly what I am doing, but our stubborn daughter refuses to solve the math problems per my methods. She says only you can save her from this situation, because apparently I can't. How humiliating is that!" Buck complained.
"I understand, Evan," Tommy gave Buck a mock-apologetic cluck, trying hard to stifle his laugh. He was well aware that math proficiency was his husband's biggest weak point-turned-self-esteem issue.
"C'mon Dad, you're just over-reacting," Spencer rolled her eyes at Buck. "I love you, but you need to accept that you are terrible at math!" she tried to soothe the burn with an extra sweet smile.
Tommy burst out laughing at Spencer's remark, but immediately pursed his lips when Buck shot him an angry look through the screen.
"No, I'm not!" Buck retorted, turning his attention away from the phone towards their daughter. "Spence. I agree I wasn't always the greatest at the subject, but haven't I told you the story of how I became a mathematical genius after getting struck by lightning?"
"Yes Dad, you have, about a million times. I know that legend by heart, but the genius part is hard to believe when you keep asking me to use the Pythagoras theorem on an oblique triangle!" Spencer justified her stance.
"Well, you won't even try using it before shooting me down like that!" Buck groaned. At that, Tommy felt an instant need to intervene before this Buckley-Kinard family conversation took a more hilarious turn, else his coworkers at the station would think he was going crazy from how hard he was laughing.
"Evan, my sweet, sweet husband," Tommy let out a deep sigh, still unable to get over how adorable, dorky, stubborn, and unintentionally funny Buck could be even after fifteen years of marriage. "You cannot use the Pythagoras theorem on an oblique triangle. It is simply not possible. You know why? Because it doesn't have any damn right angle in it!" he tried to reason.
"What now? The theorem doesn't apply to non-right angled triangles?" Buck gasped in shock.
"You see? Papa knows!" Spencer gave Tommy a thumbs up and a wide victory grin. "That's why I said only he can save me in this situation!" she said, looking at Buck. "Because your knowledge of basic geometric concepts itself seems questionable to me, sorry not sorry, Dad!"
"So you think your Papa is better than me at math? In spite of my lightning-induced mathematical super-abilities? Well, he can't be any better at math than I am!" Buck declared obstinately.
"Hey! Now that's a controversial thing to say. I'm a formally-licensed pilot — it's literally a prerequisite for my job to have good math skills!" Tommy cut in. "Have you maybe considered that your lightning thing was a limited-period offer from the Gods? I mean, poor Pythagoras must be rolling in his grave right now because of you, Evan," Tommy sniggered.
"What a snob!" Buck cried, looking flushed with embarrassment. "Remember, you won't be able to hide behind the phone screen when you face me at home tonight, Tommy!" he added in a stern voice, and then dramatically moved out of the view of the front camera lens.
"Spence darling, what trouble have you got me into with your Dad? I'm going to have to stop at a florist's shop on the way back home now," Tommy exclaimed, shaking his head.
"Tell him that only flowers is not going to cut it. He needs to get a big box of chocolates too, or else he won't be allowed into the house tonight," Buck nudged Spencer to convey the message, but Tommy had heard it loud and clear.
"Yes Evan. Flowers and chocolates it is!" Tommy responded, hiding a chuckle. "Well, I am going to hang up now. Before I can say anything more to piss him off," Tommy whispered to Spencer and winked. "Bye darling, see you later!"
"B-bye Papa, love you!" Spencer blew Tommy a kiss and then put her phone away after the call ended. Looking at Buck's expression, she snorted and got into a wild fit of laughter, so much that her belly hurt. And despite his pseudo-attempts at pretending to be upset over this roast session of his math skills, Buck burst out laughing too, alongside his daughter.
Good at math or not, Spencer knew she had the sweetest, funniest, and the most loving dads in the whole wide world, and she was the luckiest girl ever to have them both.

I don’t think I’ve talked that much about the things I changed about the boys in my revamp. Well except James. So, this post is the major personality/route changes of all six main characters. Aka, the five boys and Mika. However, I realize that this post will be waaaaay too long if I include them all at once so I'll include them two at a time.
Let’s start with Mika-
First off, age. Mika is 21 and is a business major in her university.
Mika’s backstory hasn’t changed too much. Her parents’ have but this isn’t about them so to shorten the backstory changes- Mika isn’t fully human. She is 25% angel (on her mom’s side). Her father isn’t nearly as cruel, but he is distant. Her mother handles the company finances, and her father is the current CEO of the company. Neither of them had time for her, so (like in canon) she only really had her grandfather. Her response was to gain a likable, funny personality to gain friends.
And then, her grandfather died while she was at college.
Her father got the news first and, in numbness to his emotions, chose to set up the funeral before telling his daughter or letting himself feel anything. So, from Mika’s perspective, she was taken from the levity of coming up with a fake business with her friends to a funeral. Her grandfather made a life estate deed, giving his entire estate to his granddaughter. (The will would realistically take months to complete, Life estate deeds are instant)
Instead of sending her to the mansion immediately, David gave his daughter a week to grieve. It wasn’t enough time, but it at least gave Mika something. The rest of the backstory is basically the same.
During the game, I would say Mika’s archetype is “Silly but a little depressed”. She isn’t a naturally positive person plus her grandfather just died, but she refuses to lay down and fall into the depression she has seen others fall into. So, she’ll smile and tell herself to be silly. However, this comes with the consequence of not letting herself grieve. She is very similar to her father in that way.
Going on any good route will end with Mika finally letting go of those emotions. This is regardless of if her route is romantic or not.
Next James (26)-
As the crowned prince of his kingdom, he faced pressures to be perfect from every angle. No hesitations, no ignorance, no mistakes.
He gained a cold, perfectionist mindset. He had to succeed at anything he set himself. This included protecting his family. He will be the first to organize a fun event or to throw himself into danger. All for his family. But with that need to be perfect came a sense of benign superiority. He was the perfect prince that needed to protect his imperfect brothers from the cruelty of their maniac father.
He never really took any of them seriously and all their playful, flirtatious or indecisive actions fed into that egotistical side of him.
When they got to the mansion and met Mika, he felt the same about her. She’s a silly human. What could she possibly understand about them or anything outside of her small worldview? Don’t get him wrong, he was still polite and pleasant, but he underestimated her.
To get the true run, you must first break that perception. The game now takes place over a few months, but this custom event happens early on. After Mika’s settled in and chosen her route, she finds James in the lobby reading a book from Harold’s study. He makes an offhanded comment that while human books are fairly interesting, they’re quite the “Easy reads”. He insinuates that humans seem simple and laments on how relaxing that must be.
You have the options to A) Get angry B) Debate him or C) Say Nothing. If Mika gets angry, he apologizes and backs off, but she’s unintentionally proven his point. If she says nothing, he takes it as a silent agreement. The correct answer is the debate him. Humans may not be very powerful, but their strengths are in adaptability. Demons can’t gain powers outside of their race or demonic lineage while humans can become witches and warlocks by simply wanting to. James can’t fully argue with that and takes back his statement on human simplicity. And with that kick off his high horse, he can start seeing Mika for the intelligent woman she is.
Post makeout session, Mika learns something new about James. He is deathly afraid of being like his father. His father is violent psycho that put him and his entire family through hell. He equates his father’s horrific personality to his anger and his lust so, despite his specific race mix specializing in both, he refuses to allow himself to feel either emotion past what is necessary to live. However, Mika puts a wrench in that.
No matter how he tries to convince himself that his desire for her is based on his need for energy, he knows it’s not true. He wouldn’t be so defensive of her if that was the case. There are plenty of pretty girls, what makes Mika so special to him? His fears only grow after the Malix battle.
This battle has been changed in my version to include three options when you summon your incuboy. Run, Fight and Stay. The correct option for James is to fight. Despite him being concerned for Mika’s safety, he can’t deny that she’s a smart fighter. However, despite her fighting well, Malix still manages to attack her, using a knife to stab her instead of his ineffective magic. This sends James into a cold rage. The sadistic violence that he inflicts on Malix with no hesitation or feeling frightened him. It’s a blood bath he’s only seen his father commit. This increases James’s fear of being no better than his father.
Throughout the Diana Arc, James questions his control of himself and their situation. Was he really safe to be around? Was he as in control as he thought he was? Was he better off going back home where he couldn’t hurt the people he cared for most, just in case he turned out to be the same as his father? Mika provides James with the clarity he needs to see that he isn’t like his father. That his anger and lust was his and he can control what that turns him into. By the time Diana confronts James, you get that final choice.
“I love him” or “James is his own person”
(Hot take, I love this game, but I don’t like that the option where Mika shows that she understands the boys by summing them up to Diana is the wrong option in favor of the flat “I love you” option. Especially since they confess their love afterwards anyways.
So uh, no. That’s not happening.)
“James is his own person” is the correct option. Mika makes it clear that James isn’t his father or Diana or even Mika nor can any of them control James or his actions. He deserves to choose where he wants to be and if that means Mika loses him, she’ll accept that, but Diana needs to do the same.
And of course, since this is the true end, James chooses Mika.
TL:DR- Mika is a goofball with mild depression and James has a more visible superiority complex and daddy issues.
This is part 1 of 3... if I don't write Diana

For Wild Man and Wild Miss again.
Now I’m wondering how this au affects the relationship between the Pearl Clan and Jubilife. Like, I’m imagining the PC would warn them of anything they think is particularly dangerous, like Ingo and Akari and their pack in the icelands, but then Ingo just wanders in a day later, introduces himself, and tells them he’s happy to trade with them and also “please don’t catch any of the zorua or zoroark like you would normally. They’re scared of humans, and kidnapping their family even temporarily will not make them like you. Also have you met my lively daughter? Let me tell you how we met.” Does the PC know Ingo does trade with Jubilife? Do members ever see him and/or Akari there but they can’t do anything but leave because Jubilife is neutral territory and they’d be kicked out for starting a fight?
Also, more specifically, what if one day Gaeric tried to talk about that time he was defending a child against a zoroark when the Wild Man attacked and whisked the zoroark away. Rei hears this and puts two and two together.
Gaeric, in the games is a likable enough guy. I imagine nobody in the clan really dislikes him. Imagine his surprise when this Galaxy Team kid blows up at him and angrily tells him about how that experience looked from his perspective.
Jubilife is very firmly in neutral territory, so even if they don't agree with certain practices of the clans, they don't do anything about it, and it's generally agreed that they should make no comments on how the natives do things. Likewise, the Pearl and Diamond clans both agreed to not start anything within Jubilife. So, yes, while some Pearl Clan members recognize Ingo, they don't actually do anything about it other than trying to warn some of the people in Jubilife about him.
Of course, Jubilife is free to make their own opinions, and Ingo quickly proves himself to be a very friendly man. He's polite and would immediately drop what he's doing to help another person if they so request it, and he likes to brag about his little daughter to anyone who will listen.
It's hard to take anything the Pearl Clan says seriously when the guy they're trying to warn people of is some dude who shoves his daughter in everyone's faces and proudly announces that she can count to 20 all on her own, now, isn't she the smartest?
As for Gaeric, he definitely does keep that story up his sleeve to talk about sometimes, and he would absolutely get a nasty surprise when he tells it anywhere near Rei. The idea that there's anyone who's actually friends with The Wild Man is just absurd to a lot of the Pearl Clan. They didn't expect that there were people in Jubilife who actually likes him and his "daughter." They believed that Ingo is only ever there for purely business purposes.
Of course, Rei blowing up at Gaeric would be brushed off quickly. Gaeric will believe that Rei's just not that great at telling an illusion from reality, especially since Rei's just a kid. And the people of Jubilife would be forced to apologize for Rei's outburst because, again, this is neutral territory and nobody is supposed to aggravate the tentative relations they've built. Gaeric is a Warden, after all, which means he has high standing.
This isn't to say that the civilians of Jubilife would disagree with Rei's outrage. They've babysat Akari many times in the past. They remember her being brought through the gates, bloodied and crying and whimpering. Finding out the one responsible is someone deluding themselves into thinking they did an honorable thing over unfounded superstitions would put a sour taste in a lot of mouths. And that someone has political immunity. It just leaves a sense of tension, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. No one can speak up, no one is allowed to explain it.
On a different thought, I find it very funny that Ingo is just unintentionally a political time bomb. He's just going about trying to exist, take care of his daughter, etc, meanwhile he's somehow caused the most tension between the Pearl Clan and Jubilife without even doing anything. By being likable.

Gone Baby Gone: birth control and the ethics of risky sex
CW: abortion, sexual violence.
Creds: licensed counselor with expertise in addiction, trauma, and gay stuff. Experience with tx exclusively for pregnant people and young parents with addictions.
Okay class! Today we’ll be talking about abortion oh my god don’t run away I’ll make it worth your while I promise.
Firstly, a disclaimer: I’m not interested in debating whether abortion should be legal/allowed/is moral or immoral. The research bears out, unequivocally, that access to comprehensive reproductive and family planning options improves everyone’s lives (1). And again, not actively anti-SJM or any characters, just exploring themes and what they say about us.
It’s so funny to me that NO one liked the pregnancy plot line in ACOSF, whether they love or hate or are indifferent (me) to Rhysand. And I think that’s because we, the largely femme audience engaging with the material, recognize the strings of violence weaved into it, possibly not even consciously but on a deep, bodily, instinctual level.
The 2007 crime drama Gone Baby Gone centers on a conversation about motherhood, parenting fitness, and what society owes to children. Beneath that though, and I believe unintentionally, is another story about pregnancy-capable people’s autonomy and the cycle of oppression around reproductive rights.
I’m going to spoil the movie for you - I don’t want you to watch it because Casey Affleck is a creep, and it’s not that good anyway. There’s a whole mystery plot, but the basics are: drug addict Helene’s daughter Amanda is kidnapped, then later thought to be killed but they never find her body. Casey Affleck, Boy Detective uncovers a scheme by two rogue cops to fake Amanda’s death and kidnap her because they think Helene isn’t a good mom. And they’re kind of right; once Amanda comes home, Helene is an incredibly neglectful mother, and the movie wants you to go woahhh, maybe those murdering unethical cops were right after all!
Sure, Jan.
The movie ends with the lead character wondering if Helene, for whom he’s literally killed people to bring her child back, is even fit to raise Amanda in the first place, even interested. And here’s where I feel complicated, because on one hand - yes, this is your child, and she’s completely innocent in all this and doesn’t deserve abuse and neglect. AND what were this women’s other options? Does anyone ask? Living in deeply Catholic working class Boston, did she have access to birth control? Could she have gotten an abortion? Would her culture (and her internalization of it) even allow her to entertain that option? Could she perhaps be using substances because of the circumstances of her life over which she has no control? (See Nesta, Interrupted for more on that.)
So I ask myself: what does it mean in our culture, as a person who can become pregnant, to have sex with someone who can impregnate you? What happens when your body becomes the battlefield on which larger conflicts are played out?
I’ve been thinking on these question a lot recently because my IUD is about to expire and my doctor recommended a back up method while I wait to get a new one. This has prompted my husband and me go farther into the kids conversation and consider not just what it would mean for me to get pregnant on purpose or accidentally, but what it would mean for me to get pregnant here. Where we live, abortion is technically legal but functionally impossible to find. Even for a wanted pregnancy, if it became life-threatening I might have extremely limited options.
This makes any sex inherently risky for me. IUDs failure rates range from 0.3% to 2.3%, but that still means as few as 3 in 1000 and as many as 2-3 in 100 users still get pregnant. And IUDs significantly raise the likelihood of medically dangerous pregnancies if a fetus is conceived (2). The long odds are somewhat comforting, but if I were to have an ectopic or other life-threatening pregnancy complication, I can’t trust that my local doctors would be able to save my life, legally.
And we have talked about how we both feel strongly: it’s my life first. My husband says he would rather have me, and he would rather any children of ours have me, too. And there’s this sort of sick sense of gratitude I feel, because that is, to me, the only answer, but it feels like such a kindness nonetheless.
So we get to ACOSF (you forgot this was about ACOTAR, right? Me too.). When they decided to start trying to get pregnant, Rhys had to know the risk was there. My boy, you are half Illyrian. Even without Feyre being Mystique, get out your punnet square and do the math. Your baby always had a 25% chance of having wings. Conception was always risky. I refuse to believe he didn’t know that, and it was irresponsible of him to not inform her, a person who only entered his world like two years ago.
Then they conceive a baby with wings that, as far as they know, she has no way of safely delivering. If that’s true, why couldn’t Feyre have an abortion? I’m serious. They found out very early the baby had wings. It’s not unlike an ectopic pregnancy, or even a very small person becoming pregnant. Adolescent mothers (age 10-19) (god it feels gross to type that) are at much higher risk for conditions like eclampsia, endometritis, and systemic infections, not to mention fetal complications (3). Regardless of the details, Feyre’s body is not equipped to handle this pregnancy, and yet they never seem to explore the option of terminating it.
Which begs the question: did Feyre even know abortion was an option? Is it an option in Prythian?
In my opinion, probably. If the fae have contraception (let’s not even get into STDs and the ’they have magical healing’ BS), they must have abortion. The first record of an induced abortion was on an Egyption Papyrus around 1600BC, though the practice likely well predates that. The Ancient Greeks drove a plant to extinction for its abortifacient properties (4). And even when banned, people find ways, because they have to. Reproductive health has long been of importance to pregnancy-capable people for reasons of safety, resources, and survival.
At the end of the day, Feyre is allowed to carry a pregnancy to term that she knows will kill her. That’s her right to bodily autonomy being exercised freely, and I will never begrudge her that. But imagine if abortion were an open option for her, and she knew the birth would kill her, and then Rhys. Knowing that, what do you think she’d choose? To die, bringing her mate along with her, and leave her child parentless, if they even survive? I really struggle to see that. Feyre loves hard, and knows what it’s like to grow up with extreme neglect. I cannot imagine her condemning a child to the same circumstance she found so damaging. But Rhys doesn’t tell her, forbids anyone else to, and possibly robs her of the ability to terminate the pregnancy. And also Madja, I don’t forgive her either for glossing over it. Girl needs to retake her boards.
In the beginning of my career, I worked at an inpatient substance use treatment center that was specifically for pregnant people and mothers with young children. They were allowed to bring two kids under the age of 5. I could write a million words about the flaws in that place, but it was at least something. In working with these people, the same themes came up over and over:
They wanted to get jobs but couldn’t afford childcare.
Caring for children kept them isolated from support networks and financially strapped.
The daily maintenance and self-focus of sobriety felt at odds with being responsible for children. Ironically, that neglect of self often created the perfect conditions for relapse.
Children kept them tethered, legally and/or personally to abusive partners.
They received extreme judgment, even while seeking help, for “doing this to their children”.
They did not have adequate access to reproductive autonomy, whether financially, from religious beliefs, or otherwise.
This evidence is purely anecdotal, but I do think it speaks to the larger cycle of covert violence and policing of women and pregnancy-capable people’s bodies. It is well-documented that lack of reproductive freedom has a direct negative effect on mental health and wellbeing of people of child -bearing age (5). There is also a much larger intersection to this conversation when it comes to race, class, and the systemic oppression of people of color via reproductive restriction, but Feyre is privileged in the ACOTAR world for the most part so this doesn’t touch her. She doesn’t have to wonder if she can afford a baby, or if her husband is going to be racially profiled and taken to jail or just straight up murdered by law enforcement. (and this is not to downplay the experiences Rhysand have, that Sarah doesn’t give us, being a mixed race man, more so that he is in an extreme position of power.)
I think it’s a shame we didn’t get to explore this in ACOSF with Cassian and Nesta. They jump in the sack even after learning Nesta’s body could not handle an Illyrian baby. No amount of ‘the monthly aid’ justifies not having an honest and thorough conversation about what having sex means before they sleep together. Cassian must feel real confident in the birth control options of Prythian to be spreading his soldiers around so willy nilly. And I just hope, for all their sakes, that he’s right.

The day Dot calls Rooster, Rooster and not Tooster. 😭 I bet he just wants to freeze time.
Terms of Endearment Masterlist and yesterdays update is linked here.

Oh my god yes. He just freezes. Like he’s doing her hair for pre-school, two little piggy tails with bows and all because her hair is just such a curly mess and he only knows like two hair styles that you deem socially acceptable.
He wasn’t allowed to use the vacuum to do quick pony tails anymore….
“Okay I think that’s good enough? Don’t you Dot?” She’s sitting on the vanity, leaning back against his chest as he looks at his daughter in the mirror. She’s gotten older, her face is rounder, her eyes are brighter—both blue and brown. But she’s still the same little girl who stole his heart. “What do you say hey?”
“Thank you Rooster—“ Dots beaming her bright smile, wriggling her way out of his arms before he’s placing her down on the ground. Watching stunned in his place as she raced down the hall. For a moment he looks at himself in the mirror—since when had he gotten so old?
By the time Bradley’s making his way down stairs, his shoulders are rounded. He’s defeated. Sad even.
“What’s wrong sweetheart?” Your voice is drawing him out of the depressive pit your daughter unintentionally put him in and he’s bowing his head before you.
“Am I going grey?” Bradley’s asking. “When did I get old?” The laugh you respond with doesn’t give him much hope that he isn’t aging and aging fast. The two year old who used to call him Tooster was now a much bigger soon to be five year old. “It’s not funny Fe—“
“What’s got you spiralling out of control this morning old man?” You tease, placing Dots strawberry jam sandwich in her lunch box. Rubbing your pregnant belly. Five months into the longest nine months in history.
“Your daughter called me Rooster with an R—“
“Good! I’d wanna hope so!” You smirk, still working to pack Dots lunch box. “I don’t pay for speech therapy for nothing.”
“She’s getting so old! I hate it!” Bradley’s moping, coming to stand behind you as he kissed your neck. Hands roaming the expanse of your stomach. “I feel like I blinked and suddenly she wasn’t so little anymore.”
“Honey, Odette is five—“ You chuckled. “If she’s anything like me we’re gonna have our hands full the second she hits double digits so start preparing now—besides I’m sure if you ask nicely Jake will still call you Tooster?”
“It doesn’t hit the same coming from a grown man.”
