Could u make a routine inspired by kazuha ?
How to live like kazuha ⋆𐙚.ೃ⊹🩰°。𓏲⋆𖦹 🦢₊˚ kazuhaism routine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a guide on daily routines inspired by le sserafim’s Kazuha! thanks for the request, hope you enjoy it!!
content list (routines):
morning
study
workout
shower + self care
night
(_ _ ) . . z Z⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚୨ :★: ୧ ∗  ˖࣪ ໒꒱  ˚₊·
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ morning routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🎀 Kazuha starts her days by getting straight out of bed! You can take a few minutes just to think about your dreams or to meditate but after you're done get up without thinking so you avoid lazyness. After, head to the bathroom to do your hygiene routine (washing your teeth, face, body, etc.)
After you do your skincare, it's time for makeup, if i had to describe Zuha’s makeup in a few words i would use ‘natural’ ‘light’ and ‘clean’, even tho she uses as many products as other idols I've already talked about (brow pencil, eyeshadow, base makeup, contour, lashes, eyeliner, blush and lip tint), her makeup still pretty much simple, like just to enhance her natural features.
🧸Time to get dressed, Kazuha usually wears tops or basic t-shirts with baggy sweatpants, the colors she wears the most are white, black and gray. stylize the outfit with a beret or sunglasses!
Finally for breakfast, a good option is to have a sandwich with coffee, however any recipe that includes a lot of veggies in it will be ideal!
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ study routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🩰 One of Zuha's favorite things is trying new things and showing progress! So always make sure to experiment with different study styles, techniques and resources. also, remember that progress is not about going from an F to an A, but about improving slowly and enjoying the path to your goals.
To learn and practice her Korean, Kazuha reviews vocabulary daily, using it on small phrases to memorize their meaning. As a visual learner, she also associates words with drawings and writes in her notebook often.
🥥 And to improve her English she usually practices talking with Yunjin. You can ask a friend to tutor you in any signature you feel you are lacking and make learning fun!
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ workout routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🪷 Kazuha’s most famous charm is her healthy and beautiful body, as well as her flexibility. She workouts everyday in her dorm room, and has a lot of different workout routines, so I decided to make a schedule so you can try them all!
monday -> le sserafim workout (no jumps / low impact), Kazuha new abs workout and full body stretch.
tuesday -> le sserafim workout (short version), Kazuha upper body workout, stretch
wednesday -> le sserafim workout, Kazuha abs workout, stretch
thursday -> le sserafim workout, upper body workout, stretch
friday -> le sserafim workout, kazuha lower abs workout, stretch
saturday -> le sserafim (short), upper body, stretch
sunday -> le sserafim workout (no jumps / low impact), stretch
🌷 Also, you can try and enroll in a ballet class, it's never too late to try!
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ shower + self care routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
Before taking your shower, take off your makeup with micellar water or an oil based cleanser. Then bath like you would normally do, but start your shower with lukewarm water and finish with a cold rinse!
🦢 Then use a soft foam cleanser to wash your face, let it air dry, and then use a gentle toner, calming ampoule and cream to set the moisture.
Now for self care, Zuha enjoys spending time doing diamond paintings or other kinds of diys, like decorating phone cases. She also videocalls her friends often in her free time, spending time with friends really helps with our mental health! You can also try and make little handmade gifts for your besties.
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ night routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🐩 Dinner time! eat a yogurt bowl with nuts and honey (or any toppings you like) and eat it while watching youtube videos.
After eating she takes her journal and writes about her day and her emotions, she tries to be as concise as possible so no matter if she’s tired or doesn't have time she's still able to reflect on her day!
👛 Then she does her last review on the things she's studying, doing this before going to sleep helps you remember it better.
If she's with the members she will obviously watch a scary movie and have fun with her friends before going to bed!
💋 Finally stretch a little in your bed to be more flexible, have a better posture and to help you to fall asleep faster!
Good night!

Butterfly Soup 2 Asks #1
It's that time again...I-just-released-a-game-and-am-answering-questions-about-it Time!
I get way too many asks to answer individually, so I've consolidated some commonly-asked ones along with a few I thought would be fun to answer!! Sorry if your ask isn't in here!
I put all the lore/character questions first and all the "real world" questions (like about the merch shop) at the bottom. Obviously there's spoilers below so if you haven't played Butterfly Soup 2 already go do that!
LORE
What was Akarsha thinking when she confessed to Noelle that it was her brother who sent the chat message and not her? Did she think Noelle would remember? Or did she know Noelle wouldn’t?
Akarsha thought Noelle would remember. In Akarsha’s mind, that incident was so conspicious and embarrassing, there’s almost NO WAY Noelle would forget it. To Akarsha, this was practically her telling Noelle directly, “I have a crush on you.”
Unfortunately, it was much less memorable on Noelle’s end because she didn’t see Akarsha in that way and genuinely did believe it was just her brother typing nonsense at the time. And it doesn’t help that it was buried in months’-worths of Akarsha’s wacky messages.
When Noelle doesn’t really respond to her confession at the assembly, Akarsha has two theories:
Noelle remembers, and doesn’t like her back
Noelle doesn’t remember (unlikely)
And she doesn’t know which one it is.
You guys are going to hate me for this, but because they’re Disaster Gays it takes them YEARS after that to become official.
As I was writing the assembly scene I kept thinking: If only Min could possess one of them for 10 seconds and just blurt out “I like you, will you go on a date with me”! It would’ve saved them literal years of confusion and turmoil...
Why was Akarsha in handcuffs at the end of the game?
You’ll understand when you’re older. Don’t worry about it!
It was so out of character for Noelle to start crying over Akarsha when she got hurt!
Noelle is so emotionally repressed 24/7 that when something jabs her unexpectedly, she sometimes loses control and it all starts rushing out like water out of a pressurized tube. That's why she randomly starts crying when Chryssa praises her in the first game.
So in my opinion, if she suddenly thought Akarsha was possibly dead or seriously hurt, she'd react how she did (as corny as it is)! I think that part also got colored by something that happened partway through development. My dad fell and hit his head on something so hard that he nearly died! So when Akarsha falls and hits her head, I think I see it as a lot more serious and scary than most players do.
This actually reminds me of a bit I’ve had in my head for many years now! When Noelle's in college, it's her first time in an environment where Asians are a minority. So she doesn't have asian food for a long time, but isn't aware that it's bothering her.
One day Min drives over to her college and takes her to H-Mart, and when they walk in Min goes "ok I know it's Korean and not like Chinese or whatever" and out of nowhere Noelle starts crying
Why do Noelle's joints crack every time she sits or lies down?
Because she’s stiff and doesn’t exercise enough. It’s harmless but whenever Diya hears it, she’s like :(
Is Ester’s webcomic based on/a reference to (webcomic here)?
Nope! Ester was inspired by a few friends of mine, including one who worked on her stories at school in a notebook. Her webcomic’s plot is based on a story idea I had at her age.
Are you SURE X character doesn’t have autism/ADHD? It’s so obvious!
My original answer to this years ago was “I didn’t intentionally do any research on either of those conditions, and I wasn’t aiming to portray them specifically.”
Well..........A while ago, I finally properly started doing research, and a lot of what I learned about autism sounded eerily relatable. So I took every autism diagnostic test I could find online and they all said I was autistic. I’m like 75% sure I am, but at my age I’m not sure I’ll ever get a real diagnosis.
So maybe all my characters are accidentally neurodivergent because I am? I feel like Diya is for sure because I gave her a lot of traits I relate to that I now know are signs of autism.
What are Akarsha and Noelle’s kids like? Do they have any pets?
I think I'll keep it secret for now, sorry! But I saw this comment on Reddit once and this is their family on April Fool’s day. Akarsha is the one faking a heart attack and Noelle is the one making the soup
Tumblr media
Before they had kids, Akarsha and Noelle got the most fucked up old cat from the shelter because Akarsha felt sorry for him. He’s affectionate toward them, but he’s rude to their guests like Diya/Min and hisses at them for no reason.
How does Akarsha's parents feel about her and Noelle dating?
Before Noelle and Akarsha started dating, Akarsha's parents really liked Noelle. She made such a good impression on them at the birthday party that she became their Favorite Friend, so they'd ask Akarsha about her a lot.
One day Akarsha watches an LGBT+ movie with her parents and thinks "Since they like the movie so much, they'll be okay with my sexuality!”
Akarsha's dad is cool with it, but her mom isn't. She says those things only work in movies, and that those people aren’t happy in real life. She blames Akarsha's dad for constantly saying fruity things and in the same breath goes "Everyone thinks girls are hot! That's just normal"
She and Akarsha's dad have a few arguments over it and after Akarsha's dad claims he'll go on a "hunger strike" (???) she does come around. She ultimately becomes a very supportive Ally who sends Akarsha random news articles about gay celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres
So by the time Akarsha and Noelle actually start dating, Akarsha's parents are onboard with it. They end up being the family Noelle always wished she had
Real world questions
When is the online store coming back? I’m hoping to reopen it within the next couple months! I’m hoping to restock Min’s jacket and the charms, and I wanna add new prints and plushies of the main four. If anyone has manufacturer recs for any of these that they’re willing to share, please let me know!
Are you going to make a Butterfly Soup 3?
I have an idea for a third game, but there’s a couple other projects I’m busy with (and am pretty excited to show you guys!) so I won’t be making it for several years.
Is it alright if I write a fanfic of Noelle and Akarsha’s wedding/smut/my headcanon of the characters being trans/etc etc etc ?
Write whatever you want! Just please be mindful of younger fans and make sure to tag sensitive content appropriately. And don’t ask me to read it because I can’t! I’m legally not allowed to.* *EDIT: Okay, this was a bit of an exaggeration, but I've heard that it's a bad idea for a variety of reasons! So it's a can of worms I'm not going to open as a creator

Hello. First of all thanks so much for the translation notes of Boys Be Brave. I had a feeling the subs were not great so it's helpful to have a better understanding. So about that. I was wondering if Jinwoo when he talks and writes about his ideal type mentions specifically that it's a girl he's thinking about.
In episode 1 he starts describing his ideal type at 3m40s. And the subs say something like ideal girl. And also when Kiseob finds the list in the notebook in his room which is in Episode 2, 18m47s. I took a ss in case it would be helpful.
Tumblr media
I'm just wondering if he specifies gender. I just keep thinking about this also because of the makeover scene and all and it's bugging me not knowing.
Thank you so much for the space and for your posts about this show.
Rose-Tinted-Glasses💜
Thank you for appreciating my notes, I'm happy they are helpful! It's more than I thought I'd be writing about this show but I started liking making language notes since LFLS and it's a fun practice, trying to solve the shows' riddles for other viewers.
And also the answer to your question is simple: nope xD Jinwoo doesn't specify gender at all in his list. 이상형 means just "ideal type" (genderless), and the rest of his checklist are adjectives and descriptions like "looking good in one-piece" (which is funnily enough, usually in Konglish (koreanized english terms) it means a dress but Kiseob uses its more literal meaning and wears full-body combineson (jumper suit? Forgive me, my English isn't perfect either lol)
The only place Jinwoo adds anyone to the descriptions is point 8 but it's genderless as well, he wrote "a person" who plans for future.
So no, Jinwoo doesn't specify if his ideal type is a guy or a girl (we can pretty much say he's bi at this point, crushing on both Kiseob and Hyejin), but the fact that the checklist has "long hair" and "looking good in a dress/one-piece" would make people think about a girl in a typical setting. Maybe that's why Jinwoo is taken aback when Kiseob transforms himself by this checklist, I guess :D

i don’t understand but i luv u
pairing: hoshi (soonyoung) x reader
type: imagine
warnings: crying, mentions of food, korean language

a/n: please read info before requesting!

Tumblr media
some said it was weird, your relationship but it made perfect sense to both of you. from the minute you and soonyoung laid eyes on each other everything just stopped and started anew. colors were suddenly brighter and more vivid—well, at least it felt like it. the language barrier did make things harder but soonyoung assured you that it never mattered. he worked harder to communicate with you the best he could and you learned korean as often as you can. it was the distance that hurt the worst at times but despite the hour or day, you always found time for each other.
luckily, you were able to work it out to see soonyoung before things got crazy with another album release and preparation for another tour. soonyoung was elated to see you again and hold you in his arms. the first day was filled with all the spots in korea he wanted to take you to. all the shops and restaurants that you just had to visit. the following day, surprisingly, he wanted to take you to his parents house to meet them. thankfully, joshua agreed to go to help smooth the language barrier challenges. his parents were to kind and welcoming to you. his mother prepared all of his favorite dishes and insisted you tried them all. you recognized the same warmth in her that soonyoung inherited. his father was more quiet but a sweet presence, opting to observe more than he spoke but he left you with words of approval.
“he thinks you will make a wonderful addition to their family. he wants to make sure you stay well.” joshua translated.
the two weeks went by far too quickly and sadness started to settle in your heart, but soonyoung had one more thing he needed to do before you returned home. with one more full day in south korea, you awoke that morning to a text: “please meet me in our studio.” with directions to the building. you quickly dressed and rushed down the busy streets. after getting lost a few times, you finally found the purple lights that led you right to woozi’s studio. soonyoung greeted you with a hug and ushered you to sit in the seat woozi gave up for you to sit in. the studio that once held woozi, vernon, minghao, and wonwoo emptied until it was just you and your boyfriend. across from you, soonyoung pulled up another chair, holding a note pad in one of his hands.
“baby, i want to play you this song. you inspired it.” he told you.
“나는 기다릴 수 없어” (i can’t wait) you said showing him you had been practicing just as much as he was.
soonyoung gave a shy smile and looked down to the floor. he cleared his throat and set the computer screen up to play. the notebook he had was handed to you and you could see all the writing, what you assumed to be lyrics and your boyfriend filled the studio with his song.
a guitar riff slowly faded in followed by a steady beat. five seconds in and you could already tell it was a beautiful song. you recognized your boyfriend’s soft voice leading the first verse and read along with him.
“When I saw you, on frozen space, heightened senses. When I only see you, my heart gets jealous of, even my eyes…”
it was perfect. a song that of course was how he was feeling but something that articulated your feelings just as well. soon you noticed tears staining the lyric sheet below you, not even realizing you were crying. your heart swelled along with the music and you found yourself singing along with the catchy chorus. how did you manage to find someone so different from you with hurdles that would divide some couples, but it was the person you knew you were meant for. as the song ended, you noticed you were sobbing and finally looked up to soonyoung who was crying too.
“it’s so good, baby. i love it.” you cried before he pulled you into his arms.
soonyoung pressed kisses to your temple and held you close to him. “i love you.”
“나도 사랑해요” (i love you too) you echoed his sentiments.
soonyoung did everything in his power to make the rest of the day special for you and the two of you shared a tearful good bye the next day. after you boarded the plane, you noticed there was an email in your inbox.
“i’m always with you.” 🐯
you put in your earbuds and clicked on the audio file. the song soonyoung had written started playing in your ears. it played on repeat until you saw him again.

What Kind of Future
Tumblr media
Summary: You reflect on your relationship with Christian and wonder where it all went wrong.
Warning: All the angst bc I'm sad, heartbreak if that counts as a warning
Word Count: 3.3K
A/N: This was inspired by the song "What Kind of Future" by Woozi. Even though the song is in Korean, I would HIGHLY recommend you read the English translation bc it's honestly just pure poetry. This is lowkey me projecting my own heartbreak into my writing and honestly it physically pained me to write this so now I've decided to make all of you sad too okay sorry bye
"What kind of future is to come before us?
Even if the Heavens don't give us an answer
Until the end, I'm too stupid
So I don't know the answer."
You were cleaning your apartment, getting ready for the move. London had been an incredible adventure, and you couldn't have asked for a better experience. But sadly, you knew that your time in the beautiful city was coming to an end.
As you packed, you stumbled across a box, hidden deep in your closet. You had put away almost 2 years ago, completely forgetting about its existence. You knew what it was, which was exactly why you'd put it away in the first place. You wanted to suppress those memories as best as you could. But in the spirit of letting go and moving on, you decided to open it regardless of what you knew would follow. And as you opened box, all the memories came flooding back to you.
You had been studying at a café with your roommate (Y/R/N) when your other friend Y/F/N came over to you, followed by a man you'd never seen before. Your two friends had accidentally swapped notebooks, so you'd agreed to meet at the café. The man with Y/F/N looked around awkwardly as she greeted you excitedly, clearly indicating that she'd dragged the poor guy along.
"Y/N, Y/R/M! This is Christian, the American on the team I'd been telling you about!" Y/F/N exclaimed as the two girls swapped notebooks.
Y/F/N was doing her internship as a photographer for Chelsea FC. Due to the nature of her work,  she'd gotten pretty close with the players. You felt like you knew them personally based on how much she talked about them.
But the player she seemed to talk about most was Christian Pulisic, the American hero of football. The two of you had that in common; just two Americans who made the big move to London to chase their dreams. The moment she met Christian, she knew that the two of you would get along swimmingly. And when he offered to give her a ride to practice that morning, she jumped at the opportunity to introduce you.
"Hey, I'm Christian. It's nice to meet you," he said kindly.
Christian was beautiful. Of course you knew that. You'd been to several Chelsea games to support your friend, and he was always the one to catch your eye. You secretly admired him from afar, too shy to actually approach him first.
"Christian. Aren't you the one who spilled a coffee onto her shirt?" you asked teasingly, referring to the instance when Christian completely drenched Y/F/N's shirt in coffee on her first day. Even though her shirt was ruined, she'd called you afterwards to excitedly tell you about how she'd met the famous Christian Pulisic.
Christian flushed in embarrassment, attempting to hide behind the photographer. He'd seen around, and he always thought you were the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. The sunlight shone through the window of the café, making you glow like an angel. You'd taken his breath away before ever speaking to him, and this was not how he wanted his first impression to go.
"It's okay, I'm pretty clumsy too. Plus I'm sure Y/F/N did something to deserve it in the end," you smirked, making Christian chuckle.
"Wow," Y/F/N scoffed. "I've been trying to hype up this friendship for weeks and suddenly I regret my life choices. I didn't come here to be slandered so now we're leaving before you can start ganging up on me. Come on, Christian. We've gotta get you to practice."
He waved awkwardly before following Y/F/N. But not before making eye contact with you, making you blush lightly.
You returned to your studying, but you found it hard to concentrate with the soft chuckle of the American boy still ringing in your eyes.
"He was cute," you said absentmindedly, turning a page in your textbook.
Y/R/N smirked at you knowingly.
"Oh come on! I just said he was cute," you said defensively, trying to ignore the butterflies that began to form in your stomach. "It's not like anything is gonna come of it."
You took a deep breath as you stared at one of the polaroids you and Christian had taken together. Oh, how naïve you were. Those words couldn't have been more wrong. By the year's end, Christian would become one of the most important people in your life. Y/N of the past would've laughed in your face at the thought, but she was unaware of the reality that was yet to come.
You and Christian were sat on the sofa in your living room watching Tangled together. The two of you hit it off, just as Y/F/N suspected. After that day in the café, you found yourself wanting to get to know Christian and spend as much time with him as possible. Although your schedules were busy, him with practice and you with school, you always made time for each other. The more you got to know him, the more you started to really like him.
Honestly, it confused you. You had crushes in the past, but Christian was truly something different, and you couldn't say you'd felt this way before. For weeks you contemplated your feelings, wanting to make sure that Christian was someone you genuinely wanted to let into your heart. And as your friendship developed even deeper, you thought to yourself, 'Wow. I could really fall in love with this man if I let myself.'
You hadn't been feeling so well and Y/R/N had already made plans with her boyfriend, leaving you alone in the apartment. The moment you mentioned it to Christian, he'd rushed over, snacks in hand for a movie night. He didn't hesitate despite knowing that he had an early morning practice the next day. To him, that didn't matter. What mattered most was knowing that you were okay.
And so it was just the two of you hanging out and cuddling on your couch, enjoying each other's presence. The warmth radiating off Christian made you feel the slightest bit better, and you were more than happy to be so close to him. It melted your heart to know how much he cared about you, making it even harder for you not to fall for him.
As the movie progressed, you felt Christian reach for your hand, hesitating a bit. He carefully intertwined your fingers together, not wanting to make you uncomfortable and unsure if you would pull away. You only blushed and tightened his grip in yours, cuddling into him more. He let out a sigh of relief as he held you closer to him.
And with the feeling of his hand in yours, you'd made up your mind in that moment. You would let yourself fall for Christian Pulisic. You couldn't really explain it, but something in your heart told you that he would be worth letting in. So you decided to trust in your heart, fully embracing the fact that you genuinely wanted something more with Christian.
"Are you feeling any better?" he asked you once the movie ended, sitting up.
"Kind of," you responded, also sitting up slightly. "My head still hurts a lot. I don't think I'm getting sick but something just feels off you know?"
Christian let go of your hand and instead placed it on your forehead, trying to feel your temperature. And as he did so, he got closer to your face. You were mere inches away from each other, the tension suddenly increasing in the room. Your eyes flickered to his lips ever so slightly, but you were afraid to make any movements. Was this your chance? Should you say something? Should you do something?
But you didn't have to do anything. Christian took the opportunity to make a move, kissing you softly. It surprised you, but you didn't push away. You just kissed him back slowly, getting lost in the moment.
One thing you never understood in movies and books was that feeling people always described when kissing someone. Butterflies, fireworks, a bomb going off in their stomachs. It just didn't make any sense to you. Kissing was just kissing. Lips just touching lips. How could something so simple cause such a reaction? How could it be the catalyst for the best love stories ever created? You just didn't understand it.
That was until it was Christian Pulisic's lips that touched yours. And suddenly, you understood what those descriptions were talking about. He wasn't your first, but it was truly the first time you'd ever felt like this about a kiss. Butterflies, fireworks, a bomb going off in your stomach. It was right here, right now, happening to you. There weren't any words in any language that could describe how that kiss made you feel, nor were there any words to describe just how one little kiss would impact your life forever.
When he pulled away, all you two could do was laugh before he kissed you again with more certainty. And from that day forward, you knew that your heart belonged to him.
Your heart felt heavy as you combed through the keepsakes you had collected from your relationship with Christian over the years. A keychain with your name on it that he found at a local shop, his favorite t-shirt, a stuffed bee his sister had given to him as a child. All symbols of how much he cared for you, how much he trusted you, how much he loved you. But you faltered when you picked out a small ring in the small pile. Your fingers ran over the initials engraved in the band gently, and you finally let the tears begin to fall.
Your head was on Christian's chest as he held you. Late night talks were always one of your favorite parts of the relationship. You could talk about anything and everything that came to your mind. There was never any judgement, and you were never afraid to be unapologetically you with Christian.
"Do you believe there's a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone?" you hesitantly asked him.
Christian gently ran his fingers through your hair as he held you a little tighter.
"Depends. What do you think?"
"I think,"  you started, "that loving someone means you accept them for who they are. But being in love with someone means you love them with every part of your existence. You love with the deepest depths of your soul. And you fully well know that being in love with someone means you're completely and totally vulnerable with them. If things go wrong, they could destroy you in a single instant."
You stopped before moving your head to hide your face a little.
"But being in love with someone means that regardless of what could happen in the end, you decide that the risk of getting your heart broken is worth it anyway."
"That's really deep, Y/N," he chuckled still stroking your hair, "but I totally agree. Love isn't really an emotion. It's a state of mind. And once you love someone, you give a part of yourself that you won't ever get back. But you'll always find yourself loving them no matter the outcome. Being in love is you fully surrendering yourself to that idea with no hesitation and no regrets. It's all or nothing."
You took a deep breath at his words, your heartbeat beginning to race against the thoughts in your head. You suddenly felt everything all at once, and you were afraid of what would happen if you fully admitted your thoughts to Christian.
"What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" he asked, shifting his head to better look at you. Of course he could tell something was going on. He always knew. You only hid your face further into his chest, trying to pretend like the feelings weren't there.
"I'm afraid to say it," you answered meekly.
"Hey." He gently took your face into his hand, forcing you to look up at him. Your eyes tried to look everywhere but his, but his gaze was too strong.
"It's just me. You don't ever have to be afraid to tell me anything okay?"
You looked deeply into his eyes, all of your worries slip away. You saw nothing but love in his eyes and you just knew. You knew that no matter what happened in the future, you could do anything with Christian by your side. You knew you would be okay in the end. And you knew that it was time to accept what your heart longed for.
"I'm in love with you Christian Pulisic."
He kissed your forehead and held you even tighter.
"I'm in love with you too Y/N Y/L/N."
And as the two of you kissed underneath the moonlight peaking through the curtains, two souls intertwined to become one.
Christian wasn't your first boyfriend. Technically, he wasn't even your first love. But Christian was the first true love you'd ever had. He was the first person you could see a genuine future with. You would permanently move to live with him wherever his career took him next. You would marry him in the church of your hometown surrounded by all your friends and family. You would have a few kids together, often brainstorming ideas for names that would sound good with your new last name. You would support him throughout his football career, and even after his retirement, you would be by his side with whatever he decided to do next. And in turn, he would support you in everything you do. Life was uncertain, but Christian was that the anchor that kept you still when the world seemed to crumble around you. You wanted everything life had to offer, and you wanted it all with him.
The two of you had been arguing for weeks. Something was wrong. No matter how many times you tried to discuss things and fix it, you always seemed to be going in circles. The same arguments kept popping up, and you felt more and more frustrated as time went on. Sometimes you wondered if this relationship was even worth fighting for anymore.
"No matter what I do, it just doesn't seem to be enough for you." Christian's voice was shaking as he spoke. He wanted to fix this just as much as you did. The last thing he wanted to do was let you go. He had come over wanting to smooth things over, but all it did was escalate the situation further.
Nothing could have prepared you for what he would say next.
"And so, I think it's best if we split ways."
You felt your heart shatter. Your world was collapsing around you. Surely this was a misunderstanding right? Surely he didn't mean it.
"What?" you asked weakly.
"I can't be what you need anymore. You know that. I know that. It's not working anymore."
Your heart shattered a little more.
"God no, please don't do this Christian," you begged, tears running down your cheeks. "What can we do to fix this?"
"I'm sorry Y/N, but there's nothing we can do anymore," he shook his head. "We've tried everything, and it's just not working."
You knew he loved you. You knew this was hurting him as much as it was hurting you. Surely you could convince him to stay? Right?
"Please don't do this Christian! Please I'll do anything! I'll be better I promise just please don't say that! Give us another chance to fix it! We can still fix this! Please Christian, please!"
He looked into your eyes like he always did. But this time, there was no love. There was only pain, heartbreak, and the feeling of his soul letting go of yours.
"I'm not changing my mind about this. I'm sorry."
He decided that this was the best time for him to leave. Right before he closed the door behind him, he looked at you one final time. He knew he needed to be the strong one right now, holding your gaze for one final time. He needed to be strong in front of you because the moment he walked out that night, your world fell apart. You collapsed to the ground, holding your chest as you sobbed harder than you'd ever done before.
You'd always known heartbreak would hurt. But you finally understood why your friends were so crippled when they went through a break up. There weren't any words that could describe what you felt in the days following. The best was to say that your soul was ripping itself apart, almost as if it was trying to rewrite the very idea of you out of existence. You couldn't breathe, you couldn't eat, you couldn't sleep. Time stopped as the flow of tears seemed never ending. You only seemed to cry harder as each moment passed, the basin of your tears never running dry. Your thoughts wouldn't stop running and your body felt weak. You prayed that you would start to feel numb so you could no longer feel the pain. Emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually you were broken. And the only one who could fix it was the very one to cause it in the first place.
Christian was right. When you fall in love with someone, you give a part of yourself you'll never get back. When he walked out that night, he left with a piece of you that you didn't even know existed until it was already broken Even though you knew it hurt him too, you couldn't help but be angry with him. Why had he given up so easily? What could you have done to make him stay? Why weren't you enough for him to stay? Where did everything go wrong?
You hadn't spoken really since the break up. Christian had quickly become one of the most important people in your life. He was one of the only constants as you tried to navigate your turbulent little world.
Now you were strangers again. Part of you wished Y/F/N had never introduced you that fateful day in the café. It would've spared you the hurt you'd felt. But how could you have known such an innocent meeting would turn into a life changing event?
You knew you were never truly going to recover from this. Christian Pulisic would be synonymous with love, but also with pain. And as you moved on with your life, a part of your heart would remain in London, the memories of your relationship with it.
You wiped away the tears as best as you could and closed the lid of the box. You carefully packed it with the rest of your stuff, not wanting it to be damaged during the move. Despite what happened, it was still something you cared for, just as you still deeply cared for Christian.
It was love that brought you happiness. But it was also love that destroyed you in the end. And yet, you would do it all over again if it meant having Christian. The love that the two of you shared was more than worth the extreme pain that followed. If years of pain meant that you could have Christian even just for a little bit longer, you would endure it. Being able to call yourself his, even if just for a tiny portion of your life, was truly an honor and a blessing that you would never take for granted.
You didn't know what the future held in store for the two of you. You didn't know if you would ever see him again. You didn't know if you could even be in each other's lives anymore. And maybe you would never know the answers you so desperately searched for. But in your heart you knew that in every universe, in every lifetime, you would always choose Christian Pulisic, no matter the outcome.

hi! can i have a platonic request for yujin with a male reader?
yujin joins a new school and is quiet and shy but male reader is the upbeat and excited (kinda like junhyeon) class president who wants to befriend him but yujin makes him work hard for his friendship? (idk this is one of those random late night thoughts😅)
tysm!
Shy, shy, shy!
Tumblr media
New student han yujin & class president male reader
genre: highschool au on crack, friendship, comedy
tw/tags: color-coded notes, yujin is a shy bean, a lil insecurity at the start, ft kum junhyeon, kim gyuvin & park gunwook for comedic purposes, age of trio is messed with a little to fit the narrative
wc: 1684
summary: you just want to be friends with the new student but it doesn’t seem like he wants to be friends with you.
a/n my first request~ thank you so much anon! I’m not sure if this is what you had in mind and i feel like it’s a little messy but i hope you like it! I tried to write it to be consistent with the korean highschool experience and ended up throwing the dog mafia trio in there for extra laughs — if you enjoyed this, I’ve got a ricky fic set in the same au and part two on the way~
Check my pinned for more fics~
“This is Han Yujin-ssi. He’s just transferred here and will be in your class for the rest of the year. Please take good care of him.”
You smile at the other boy while the teacher introduces you as the class president, returning his bow enthusiastically. His posture seems quite tense as he fidgets with the hem of his uniform jacket. Once the teacher leaves, you practically launch yourself into loosening him up.
“So this is your desk, I’m afraid we’ll be stuck together for the rest of the school year so I hope you won’t get bored of me!”
“Ah…”
“Definitely just ask when you need anything, especially if you need help catching up with any of the lessons, I’ll be happy to lend you my notes. These are my best classes,”
You gesture wildly to your notebooks. Yujin feels a little overwhelmed staring at the many brightly coloured post-it markers peeking between pages, all labelled in your handwriting. Everything on your desk seemed to function in some state of meticulously organised chaos.
“But if you need tutoring for anything else, I’ll be happy to ask one of my sunbaes.”
“Oh, thank you.”
You continue talking and Yujin just stands there. It’s a lot. You’re a lot. Not necessarily in a bad way, it’s just that you look so sure of yourself in a way that Yujin still doesn’t know how to. He can feel his other classmates staring at both of you. He watches you turn towards their direction and they avert their eyes, going back to chatting among themselves. His cheeks begin to flush with embarrassment and he furiously tamps it down.
“Do you have any questions? Anything I can help with, Yujin-ssi?”
How can you look so genuinely earnest? It must be such a hassle for you to look after him when you’re already in charge of the whole class.
“Ah no, it’s alright, thank you.”
Still, your bright demeanour doesn’t dampen, cheerfully calling the class to attention as the teacher walks in.

“Ah seriously hyung, I’m pretty sure he finds me annoying.”
“You are annoying though, you’re annoying me right now.”
“Ah hyuuuuung.”
You’re about to sulk when rather large hands plant themselves on either side of your face and begin squishing your cheeks.
“Aigoo, aigoo, no need to pout, hyung is just teasing you.”
You met Kim Gyuvin after meeting Park Gunwook at a student officer meeting. Along with Kum Junhyeon, the trio of seniors were practically inseparable. And like it or not, they’ve unofficially adopted you.
Unofficial because your own mother had laughed when Kum Junhyeon showed up to your house with actual, legal adoption papers and then proceeded to pull up a whole powerpoint presentation to convince her to sign. While you expected Gyuvin to go along with this madness, you weren’t prepared to witness the horror of watching your student officer sunbaenim sporting a full wig and speaking in a high-pitched tone that would forever be burned into your brain. You couldn’t even look Gunwook in the eye at the next meeting.
Chaotic energy aside, your three hyungs were actually helpful whenever you did have a problem. Gyuvin pats your cheeks indulgently.
“He’s probably just shy. As long as you don’t scare the shit out of him like this one did when I first transferred over here, you’ll be best bros in no time.”
“Yaaa” Gunwook protests, “I wasn’t scary.”
“You looked like you could bench press my entire body weight and you stared at me for an unsettling amount of time when seongsaengnim introduced us on my first day.”
Gyuvin retorted, now squeezing your shoulders like they were stress balls.
“That’s because I couldn’t believe that someone the same age as me could look so damn attractive. It’s unfair.”
You braced yourself for the incoming dramatics.
“Ah bro”
“Bro”
“I didn’t know you found me that hot, bro.”
“You really were something, bro.”
Gyuvin lets go of your shoulders.
“Wait excuse me, were??”
“Gyuvin-ah, you and Junhyeon literally have the same personality, I love you both, really, but it’s-”
“It’s what, huh? What is it? Say it.”
You’re about to pull up some emergency aegyo to keep Gyuvin from fighting Gunwook. Luckily, Junhyeon has impeccable timing, almost non-existent volume control and a flair for theatrics.
“YOU’RE SPENDING TIME WITH THE BABY WITHOUT ME??? EXCUSE ME, DOES OUR AGREEMENT OF JOINT CUSTODY MEAN NOTHING TO YOU??? HOW DARE-”
Yep, time to do a reverse “Junhyeonie is 5” before someone loses their custody rights.
__________________________________________
“Oh Yujin-ssi, how are you? Is any of the material confusing? We can go over it at evening study if you like”
The other boy turns to you so fast that you’re afraid his neck might snap.
“Ah, I’m- everything is alright.”
It’s becoming a pattern. You try your very best to get Yujin to feel comfortable and Yujin tensing up and giving rather brief responses.
You invite him to sit with you at lunch and he declines, disappearing from the hall.
You offer him a snack during evening study and he says he’s still full from lunch.
You ask if he wants you to get him a drink from the vending machine and he waves you off.
And he’s not even being rude about it, every response is extremely polite, frustratingly so. And you feel lost because it’s so clear that he feels the need to walk on eggshells around practically everything and you don’t know why.
Despite being class president, you don’t have much in terms of close friends. You’re friendly with most of your peers but becoming an officer means that you don’t have much free time and thus, the friends that you once had would end up hanging out without you. You knew, like Gunwook, that the title could make you come off as intimidating. And you genuinely wished that you could have what your hyungs did, an inseparable bond with all the chaos.
__________________________________________
It’s three weeks in when Yujin doesn’t show up for class. The day after, you find out from the teacher that he’s been sick over the weekend and his parents are keeping him home for a few extra days to recover. By the third day that the chair beside you remains empty, you use your class president privileges to find out his address and decide to pull a Junhyeon, armed with the week’s class notes instead of adoption papers and unfortunately no powerpoint. Or a wig.
You knock on the door and wait. A few minutes tick by and no one answers. After double checking that you’re at the correct address, you knock again. As time drags out, you start to fiddle with your uniform jacket, wondering if this was a good idea. The door opens and you’re face to face with a woman who can only be Yujin’s mother.
You pull down your mask and bow, introducing yourself and holding out the notes that are meant for Yujin. Her face brightens.
“You must be his class president, you’re the only person at school that he talks about. Come in, I’ll have his brother check if he’s napping or not. He’ll be glad to see you after staying home for so long.”
You try to decline, not wanting to put Yujin on the spot but she insists, ushering you in.
“I’ve just been so worried for him after he had to transfer. He always gets so quiet with new people and I’m so glad when I heard about you, really. Thank you for looking out for him.”
She says as you toe off your shoes, trying your best to smile and nod while you’re internally reeling from all the information she’s unloaded.
“Ah, Yujinie, your friend is here. He’s been nice enough to drop off the notes you’ve missed.”
Yujin pauses when he sees you sitting on the couch. He’s a little pale but otherwise looks fine for someone who’s been sick for almost a week. His mother thanks you again before bustling into the other room. Yujin takes a seat on the opposite side of the couch.
“I brought the homework.”
“...”
“And all the notes for the lessons this week.”
“...”
“I’ve colour-coded them by class so you know which ones which.”
“...”
The silence drags itself out long enough for you to consider making an excuse and seeing yourself out. But before you can, Yujin finally speaks.
“Why are you still being so nice to me?”
“Uh- um- sorry, excuse me?”
For once, he isn’t the one giving a brief response but you’ve been caught off guard.
“I know you need to do the whole class president thing but seriously, you don’t need to go out of your way to offer me snacks or buy drinks or even come all the way here to drop all of this off. Seriously, don’t you think it’s a hassle? Why do you have to be this nice?”
This is literally the most you’ve heard Yujin say since meeting him. It’s groundbreaking. Incredible. Miraculous. Damn, you think your brain broke a little.
“I guess…I’m just being nice?...You know, for the sake of being nice?”
More like a lot.
“I mean you seem like a cool person. Like you aren’t bothered by how I have to like use a different coloured pen for everything or when my sticky note markers end up on your desk or like…yeah.”
You internally cringe at the word vomit that you let loose. Really, you didn’t rehearse your class president candidate speech a million times to sink to this level of ramble.
Yujin laughs. Like actually, genuinely, laughs.
“You’re actually kinda strange, you know. But yeah…”
He grins at you.
“You seem like a cool person too.”
__________________________________________
“HELLOOO MY BABY- OHMYGOD!!!”
Yujin looks positively terrified as Junhyeon flaps his arms wildly at him.
“THERE’S ANOTHER BABY!”
Gunwook looks vaguely amused, giving you a thumbs up before trying to keep Junhyeon from fully launching himself at both of you. Gyuvin takes one look at Yujin, turns around and walks out the door, mumbling something that sounded like “adoption papers.”
It’s going to be an interesting year.

Hey, I just wanna know from where did you start learning thai? Also, what advice do you give to those who wanna start learning it
Hiya anon ✨
Tumblr media
I'm not sure how much help I can be, considering I'm not doing a course or following an app or anything people usually do for language learning 🥴 I've been learning mostly by immersion tbh - I've been almost exclusively watching Thai series for over a year now, plus interviews, variety shows, youtube content, songs, so many songs lol, tweets, etc.
My personal learning approach is pretty loose and chaotic lmao but here goes:
1) The biggest hurdle for me was the script. Apart from already having started to notice recurring words being said in the Thai BLs I was watching at the time, I also wanted to be able to read people's tweets! In the end, it was a combination of 1) an app I happened to find (Pocket Thai Master for Android, it's free on the Play store!) and 2) the Wikipedia article on the Thai script that both helped me to understand and start reading and writing. Coming from a non-tonal mother tongue, learning the script early on really helps to understand the tones in Thai so it's something I would for sure recommend!
2) I started keeping a lil vocabulary notebook (you know those two-column ones?) shortly before my Bangkok vacation earlier this year. It not only helped with new vocabulary but also kept me practicing writing! Anytime I encounter a new word, I look it up on either or all of the following online dictionaries: thai-language.com, thai2english, Longdo Dictionary (which I literally just now realized can be set to English in the upper right corner, I've just been using it in Thai ever since I found it djsjdh), Wiktionary in Thai, or if all else fails I google it and might find an old forum entry or maybe an article if it's a slang word or idiom. I recall having dinner in a Bonchon in Bangkok and brokenly asking the waitress for chopsticks so, while waiting, I looked up and took down the word's spelling and pronunciation and when she came back and saw me copying all the info into my little notebook liKE A NERD she laughed and complimented me for the effort haha
3) If I hear a Thai word I'm unfamiliar with that I can't look up because I don't know the spelling, there's a few approaches. If I have context for its meaning, for example subtitles, then I look up the translation instead and hope I find it. If I don't, then there's the option of using thai-language.com's Reverse Phonemic Transcription function (this site in general is my holy grail tbh, it's why I mostly stick to its romanization style for any of my #local woman harps on about linguistics posts). Another option is using the papago app's speech-to-text function. Yes, you read that right. A Korean translation app, that I previously used when I was learning Korean and thus still had on my phone, proved to be useful for me to make sense of the spelling or pronunciation of Thai words. At the beginning, I only used it to read me homonyms out loud so I could parse the difference in tones lol but then I realized it wasn't half bad at rendering an accurate transcription! Sometimes I use that feature to check my own pronunciation or remind myself of the spelling of a word.
4) I always like to recommend @lurkingteapot's comprehensive Thai language learning resources post (it's far more coherent than my post here lol). And shoutout to @recentadultburnout for posting about Thai language and culture as a native speaker (both on tumblr and on ao3)! 🙏
5) This might be minor or self-evident but ya know- install the Thai keyboard for your devices! You're gonna need it sooner or later anyway if you wanna actually use the language. And if you're a keycap and keyboard nerd like me and happen to fall in love with a keyboard in a Siam Discovery store ehem then I do recommend getting a Thai layout keyboard (or keyboard stickers!) because that has proven to help me a lot in terms of ease of learning on desktop and familiarizing myself with letters I don't often encounter. Throwback to that one time I was on the train, revising consonants and their tone classes, and indignantly texted a very confused yet amused family member a photo of my hand-written copy of the Thai consonant table, asking how I'm ever supposed to differentiate between ฎ and ฏ!! Even now, I have to lean in and squint like an old lady to see the difference on desktop. 😭
I hope at least some of this proves to be helpful in your quest to learn Thai! In any case, you're not alone on tumblr or in our little BL/GL/QL fandom bubble - I know of several users who are learning Thai, like @airenyah and @philologique and the aforementioned @lurkingteapot, just to name a few I personally follow and who I'm sure all have their own advice to give if you shoot them an ask~

Tumblr media
Aesthete: a person who has or affects to have a special appreciation of art and beauty.
I tap my pen against the wooden desk as I focus on the sheets in front of me. The words written on the page are a little sloppy, their connotation that of a newcomer to lyricism. But, the meaning in them shows through no matter the novice technique in which their written. I cross out a line and rewrite the words, not changing the meaning behind them but allowing the line to blend harmoniously with the rest of the verse.
Jimin stopped by the studio first thing before practice, the notebook sitting on the floor from where he slid it under the door before rushing to meet the other members. I smiled when I saw it. I should've known better than to expect anything other than the fact that he would stay up writing. After our conversation yesterday, he seemed too inspired to do anything but that.
I will admit, although the wording isn't as eloquent as an experienced lyricist, Jimin's handwriting is that of a scholar. Next to his, my hangul looks like chicken scratch, something a kindergartner would write. Then again, I am newer to writing in the language, still stumbling when I even speak it. But, I have improved drastically in the half year past. His writing is more like the Korean version of cursive, his hands used to the language from years of experience as his letters blend together beautifully. While I am mainly writing the English version, as it's my first language, he decided that he wanted to take the lead with the Korean version. When he proposed the idea, I visibly sighed in relief. Usually when writing for the other artists in the company, some of the other producers tend to take the lead on the lyrics since I am a novice when it comes to the Korean language, but versed enough to help Jimin with editing his.
My heart breaks a little at the words on the page. His fear of losing those close to him shows through as I read them. His sad, almost desperate, connotation bleed through the pages even through his crossed lines as he rewrote the lyrics over and over. I can't wait to show him what I've done with it, the song already playing through my head in a constant loop. I can already imagine how great it will sound with his soft and breathy vocals.
A knock on the door brings my out of my little bubble. I turn toward the entrance of my studio, curious to see who could be here. Jimin's practice isn't set to be finished for another hour or so.
But, nevertheless, it is still him that stands in the doorway.
"What are you doing here so early?" I ask, curious as to how he is here at the moment. He's never been known to cut practice of any kind, if anything he stays later working past when everyone else leaves.
"Let's just say.... there was some tension. So, Joon-hyung decided to end it early today." He says with a slight smirk on his face. I don't know how, but for some reason I feel as if I'm the reason for the so-called tension that he speaks of.
"Do I even want to know?" I cross my arms and lean back in my chair as I question him.
"Probably not." He shrugs his shoulders and walks further into the room, coming to stand beside me and look at the notebook sitting on the desk behind me.
"Alright then, I'm not even gonna ask." I swivel my chair around to face the desk once again, watching Jimin's face as he reads the words on the page, examining my rewrites with the utmost focus and attention.
"Wow... I thought my lyrics were good. But.... damn." He turns his head to meet my eyes. "You've really got some talent, Y/N."
My cheeks flush at the compliment, not used to being recognized for it. I avoid his eyes as I look back toward the notebook.
"It's nothing, I just reported it a little bit to better match the rhythm of the song. This way, the meter of the stanza will match the beat a lot better. But, Jimin, you did amazing. What you wrote here... just..." I look at the man standing beside me. "Wow."
He flushes at my words, his hand coming to rub the nape of his neck as he straightens his spine. "I just felt kind of inspired, I guess."
He smiles shyly at me as I grin at him. I fake punch him lightly in the shoulder, lightening the mood. "Hey, give yourself some credit. You did good. Own it."
He laughs lightly, loosening up a bit. "Yeah, yeah. Okay."
"No, say it!" I persist. "Say 'I did an awesome job at writing these lyrics and I am oh so very talented'."
He scrunches his face in a mic of amusement and awkwardness as he tries to laugh off my words.
"Whatever. So can we go to the recording booth? Try this out?" He asks, waving me off.
I let it go, deciding that I've proven my point enough to not push it any further. "Yeah, let me just put the track on the flash drive real quick and we can head over."
While working on his lyrics, I was able to finish the backing track. His words inspired me and helped me find the finishing touches I really needed. All that's left is to finish writing the lyrics, record it, and mix it all together.
I click my mouse as I drag the file over to the drive, preparing to transport it to the recording booth that a lot of the other producers and I share. Although I have my own studio and microphone for recording backing vocals, for the artists we like to have the best recording set up. I pull the drive from my computer and grab the notebook, standing from my chair as I turn toward Jimin.
"You ready?" I ask, knowing that his nerves are high at the moment, the anxiety of recording the raw emotion in which these lyrics are written showing on his face.
"As ready as I'll ever be."
I wrap my arm around his as we march out of my studio and down the hall.
Tumblr media
"Watch me go, soak me all night long, away... So the morning gets drunk and never comes."
Jimin's soft vocals ring throughout the studio as I stare at him in awe. Seeing the words on paper is nothing compared to hearing them in such a mellifluous way. He peels off the headset and places it around his neck, a smile shining on his face as his eyes sparkle.
"How was that?" He asks me through the microphone. I press the button on the desk so he can hear my response in the speakers throughout the inside of the recording booth.
"Jiminie, that was amazing! First take, wow. Let's keep going and finish up the rest of the pre-chorus and then we'll take a break." My cheeks hurt from how big I've been smiling for the past hour. After doing some minor rewrites after we arrived and settling on exactly how we wanted to vocal lines to sound, we finally started recording. I rewind the track a few seconds, Jimin's previously recorded vocals playing through as he secures his headset back on and closes his eyes in concentration.
"I fade away in the loud music, I'm getting used to the cliché story like a drama. I'm getting used to it. Have I come too far to find the me you used to know? Yeah I know, you know, I know..."
Jimin never ceases to amaze me. Although he has a beautiful deep chest voice, he prefers to sing in the higher tones. That fact fits beautifully with this song. But, maybe one day I can convince him to showcase more of his lower vocals. The proud smile I wear never leaves as he looks at me with excitement, his eyes forming crescents so slivered I wonder how he even sees what's in front of him.
He sets his headset on the small table next to the microphone, his half empty water bottle sitting next to it. I look back toward the screen to start the playback of what all we've recorded thus far as I hear the door to the recording booth open and shut softly, near-silent but quick footsteps near me as Jimin rushes to see the screen.
We haven't yet added the whispers in the beginning, so the track still feels a little empty as it starts. But as soon as the vocals come in, it feels complete. A weight lifts off my shoulders at the sound, a relieved sigh leaving me as my chest feels light. I close my eyes as I smile, letting out a breathy laugh.
"She's saying 'Baby, don't think about it. There's not a bad thing here tonight. Baby, it's fine if you have to leave, but stay with me just for today.'"
We listen for the next minute or so and I pause it right before the chorus comes in.
"Oh my God! Jimin!" I jump up and throw my arms dramatically around him, causing him to almost loose balance and brace a hand against the desk to keep standing. He laughs as he regains his balance and wraps his arms around my waist. We stay like that for a little while, rocking slightly back in forth as we bask in the feeling of accomplishment.
I lean slightly and place my hands on his reddened cheeks, forcing him to make eye contact with me.
"I'm so proud of you! That sounds amazing!" Jimin looks down bashfully at my words, but the smile grows on his face, his teeth nibbling on his bottom lip.
"Thanks... You did most of the work, though."
I smile fondly at my best friend.
"Jimin, don't discredit yourself. I just helped you bring your vision to life, and you're doing the same for me." He looks back up and meets my eyes once again. "I'm so glad that I shared this with you. This is coming out better than I could've imagined."
We stay like that for a few moments more before a knock breaks the moment. We look at the doorway simultaneously.
"Am I interrupting something?" The silky smooth voice carries throughout the room, his words making my cheeks flush. His strong brows are pushed together into an expression I can't really put my finger on. Confusion, disgust, anger... jealousy? No, it can't be.
Nonetheless, Jimin lets go of his hold on me at the presence of his bandmate, taking a step back to put some space between us.
"We just finished up recording a good chunk of the song." Jimin explains. "I'm actually really proud of it."
Jungkook's face softens as his brows shoot up, disappearing under the black bucket hat on his head, the rings on the brim clinking together as he tilts his head and leans against the doorway.
"Really? I didn't even know you were working on something new." His eyes dart over to me momentarily before moving back to Jimin. "What is it?"
I clear my throat before I speak up for him. "That song that I was working on when you came into my studio yesterday. I showed it to Jimin and he marked his claim on it the second it started playing." I laugh lightly as I avert my eyes over to my best friend, pride shining all throughout my features. "He wrote lyrics for it overnight, and we've been putting it together since your practice ended."
Jungkook smiles wide as he walks over to Jimin, placing a hand on his shoulder. "That's amazing, hyung! I can't wait to hear it."
"Thanks, Kook. I can't wait either." His eye crescents come back as he smiles mischievously. "But, you gotta wait until it's done. No spoilers!"
The bunny man pouts at his elder. "That's mean. But, fine. I was coming in here to record some stuff I'm working on, but I'll wait until you guys finish up. I didn't know that anyone was in here today." He pulls out a flashdrive from his pocket, holding it up to prove his intentions.
"That's fine. We were just finishing up anyway. I just gotta make sure everything saves over then we can get out of your hair." I turn back toward the computer, leaning over the desk to move everything back over to my portable drive. A few seconds later and I unplug it, turning back toward the two men.
They seem to be having a secret conversation, whispering over in the corner of the room, too quiet for me to hear. Jungkook makes eye contact with me and I crease my brows in confusion. His eyes widen and he clears his throat, cutting off whatever Jimin was saying.
"Where are you guys off to?" He asks, turning his gaze back toward Jimin.
"The dance studio. Wanna blow off some steam before we go and get ready for recording later."
Jimin walks back over to me, placing his elbow on my shoulder and showcasing the slight height difference. Honestly, this man is just so proud that he's 3 inches taller than me and uses every opportunity to show it off. Then again, being surrounded by giants all day probably doesn't help his height complex.
"Oh, you dance?" Jungkook directs the question back at me.
"Yeah... I used to study contemporary back in the States. Sometimes it nice to just... let go. You know?" I shuffle uncomfortably at the admission. He seems perplexed as he takes in the information, seemingly hooked on every new detail he can learn about me.
"Anyway," I silently thank Jimin for breaking the tension "we are heading out. Good luck on whatever you're working on, Kookie!"
He all but pushes me out of the room, hands pressing against my shoulders in a rush to leave to recording studio. As we exit the room, I glance back over my shoulder, only to find a doe eyed Jungkook staring. We make eye contact one final time before we turn to go down the corridor, a red flush creeping on his cheeks.
Jimin moves so that he's no longer pushing, but walking alongside me. I glance over at him only to see him wearing a knowing smile as he glances back. Thankfully, he doesn't say anything.
As we turn into the next hallway, I hear the soft sound of a symphony staring to ring from the room we just left. And for once, I let myself smile about the boy with the bunny teeth responsible for it.

☆hello! my name is Felix!
★I am 22 years old, and I finished college and have a bachelor of arts in graphic design :3
☆love kpop, languages, crochet, fashion, watching shows, and reading
★I have studied Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and ASL in the past. I know the most in Korean, however I am currently studying for the JLPT
STUDY GOALS AND RESOURCES
☆pass the N5 exam in December. to do that, I am studying a unit of genki 1 a week, and I have my best friend who is studying for N4 who is assisting any questions. I am also using tokiAndy, memorise, and practice reading with a Japanese novel of Kiki delivery service and the Japanese version of the manga "the guy she was interested in wasn't a guy"
★I have three notebooks so far, one for notes from textbook and practices, one for practicing writing for hiragana and katakana, and one specifically for kanji practice.
☆I am also listening to basic video blogs from youtubers who talk about different topics, just to get my ear used to hearing and listening to Japanese. I also love upiko (๑'ᴗ')ゞ
★So far, I have a set routine. On average, I should be studying five hours a day, working around my work schedule, and some things I can do while I'm at work (I am a server right now) like listening, immersion, vocab, writing practice, reviews, etc. On Mondays, I start a new unit and by Saturday, I try and have everything in that unit studied and completed, including the memorise modules, tokiniAndy, and all practice questions in the textbook.
☆my ultimate goal is to be able to work with the Japanese fashion magazine brand, zipper, which is why I am studying for the JLPT. I am very determined, and I already registered for the test (´º∀º`) so I've gotta study hard!
any tips from anyone is appreciated! I am very beginner do I will do my best! let's learn together! ٩( ᐛ )و

September Language Goals
Now that I have finished my Finnish summer course and have a break until I (hopefully soon) get accepted into the next course, I have some time where I want to focus a little bit more on Korean and also start with Swedish. Of course I still want to maintain and improve my Finnish, especially practicing how to speak freely.
As Finnish is the main language I am currently learning, I will go into more detail with my goals for each category.
Finnish
Grammar
In the summer course I learned multiple new grammar forms and I want to practice them more. I also want to clear the questions I had and mistakes I made during the exam.
Grammar to repeat and practice:
Passiivi (in present and past forms)
Imperatiivi (I forgot to study this for the exam and was caught off guard)
Imperfekti (especially when the i replaces other vowels)
Perfekti (KPT-rules with the participles)
Pluskvamperfekti (when it is used)
Speaking
As I am lacking in practice and confidence when speaking Finnish, but I am actually understanding quite a lot already, I want to especially focus on speaking this month.
I have 14 prompts where I will select one randomly every 2 days and just speak to the best of my abilities. Then I will go through the recording and write down words I didn't know, or things that are grammatically wrong or I pronounced weird.
Additionally I want to talk to my HelloTalk pals more - actually talk and not just write.
Reading
For several months now I have had a children's book from the library that I plan on finishing this month.
I want to do a combination of reading and looking up a word here and there and writing a few pages down and analysing every word I am unfamiliar with.
I've done the writing down and analysing for the first chapter, and while it was useful, it also took a lot of time. I believe that's why I am still not very far in the book. But yesterday I read a chapter without actually looking up or writing down anything and still understood the main plot lines. So I think a mix of different techniques will be the best method to finally finish this book.
Writing
I want to focus a little more on speaking this month than writing. But if I find the time and motivation I want to try and write 2-4 little texts this month.
Now while writing this I notice that it would be useful when I write a little text at the end of each week about the prompts that I am doing for my speaking practice.
If I will actually do it? You can see it on my Finnish Blog @harakkataihaarukka (if you're interested).
Listening
I basically hear Finnish everyday without needing to do anything, so I don't have anything planned.
If I am feeling especially motivated, I can watch a few videos on the 'finnished' channel on Youtube.
Vocabulary
I want to retain the vocabulary I learned during the summer course, so I plan to do 20-30 flashcards every day.
I also need to organize the flashcards in the app... It is kind of a mess because I used different formats at the beginning of the course and in the end.
Of course I will add any new vocabulary to my flashcards over the month.
Additionally I have a few topics, for which I want to learn some specific vocabulary:
art, painting, describing pictures
insects
cats and caring for them
autumn
going to the library (and cinema)
I think I will make a weekly study plan again. I had one before but I didn't really stick to it because I didn't have specific tasks for each category. But I hope it will work better this time. That way I can also plan time for Korean and Swedish.
Now let's get to the other two languages.
Korean
My main goal this month is to learn verb conjugation and memorize more vocabulary.
I plan on doing Lesson 1-8 of Unit 1 on howtostudykorean.com this month to get a good basis. So 2 Lessons every week. I think that is doable.
I also want to start making flashcards for vocabulary. Although I have a notebook for Korean where I already wrote down some vocabulary, learning them with an app proves to be more efficiant for me.
Another thing I want to do is installing a Korean keyboard on my laptop. I know I will find it so annoying to learn, but then I can also write Korean on my laptop and not just on my phone or iPad.
Swedish
I plan to slowly start with learning Swedish this month.
Originally I wanted to wait longer because I want to focus on Finnish, but the last few days I had such a motivation and interest in learning Swedish that I need to follow that motivation.
I don't plan on studying grammar or vocabulary specifically, but I want to start with watching a lot of videos with subtitles in Swedish and focus on listening and shadowing the pronunciation.
Because, although I can already understand quite a bit when it is written Swedish (thanks to knowing German and English and then some weird language knowledge and connecting brain magic) the pronunciation is so different to the written letters and there are also a lot of sounds that I have difficulty pronouncing.
So listening to a lot of normal and specifically slow Swedish videos it is.
I am actually curious to see how fast I can pick up Swedish in general because it is so connected to German and English. And even through Finnish I will be able to connect some words because Finnish has quite a bit of Swedish loan words. I just hope it won't confuse me.
Seeing all my language goals written out like this, it seems a lot. I don't know how much I will actually be able to do, as I also don't know when I will be accepted into the next Finnish course (which will then take up a lot of time). But a month is always longer than it seems like at the beginning.
Anyways, happy language learning to everyone who is also learning one (or more languages) this month!

enjoy this high school!vernon fic based off of a fan signing he did
“Can you teach me something in Korean?” You asked Vernon, who was so diligently filling out a worksheet with the Korean characters beside you. It was only the two of you in the classroom as it usually was once the last school bell rung, taking the opportunity to do homework in this setting with the chalkboards and school supplies. For you, it was so much better to be completing your work at school, so that when you got home, you’d be able to relax. For Vernon, he had to get everything done after the end of the school day because at 5:30, he needs to speed out the door to get to dance practice. Either way, staying after was a win-win situation.
“I mean sure, what do you want to learn?” He looks up briefly at your face before continuing to write on the paper. “Don’t you have your own work to do?” He raises an eyebrow to himself while he mutters the question.
You tug at the collar of the dress shirt you wear for your uniform and unbutton the top button. “Yeah, but I need a break. And you look like you could use one too.”
Vernon scoffs as he pulls on the knot of his tie to undo it. He leaves the accessory hanging around his neck so casually. “Alright, fine.” The folds in between his eyebrows while he scrunches his face make you laugh and you’re so tempted to take your fingers to smooth out his skin. You don’t, though.
“So what do you want to teach me?”
He fishes into his bag for his spare notebook, the one you know he fills with the randomest things. One time, you asked him to look through it and he shrugged and handed it over. There were pages full of written song lyrics, both in English and Korean, as well as to-do lists of the homework assignments he needed to finish. Vernon flips to an empty page and marks it with calculated strokes. It comes out to look like this: 나는 너를 좋아해.
He says the words, but even when he tries to make you repeat it, it’s really difficult, so he breaks it down for you. “Okay, repeat after me. Naneun.”
“Naneun.”
“Neoreul.”
“Neoreul.”
“Joahae.”
“Joahae.”
“Okay, all together. Naneun neoreul joahae.”
“Naneun neoreul joahae.” You can tell you pronounced it correctly because there’s an immediate grin on his face as you finish the sentence. He raises his hand and you slap it for a high five. “So what does it mean?”
“What do you mean?”
“Just because I know how to say something doesn’t mean I know what it means.”
Vernon’s face drops, and there’s that scrunch in his eyebrows again. “It, uh, means I like you in Korean.” He leans his cheek on his hand immediately after, shifting away from you.
“Aw, that’s cute.” You smile, but then the gears start turning in your head and your jaw drops. “Wait, what do you mean? Are you being for real or are you just saying it because it’s what you’ve been writing for the—”
“I mean, why else would I teach it to you?” He still won’t meet eyes with you, but you can see the tips of his ears flush with red.
“I don’t know, maybe you want to teach the third graders how to flirt.”
“Well, is it working?” Vernon finally looks you in the eyes. His tongue is peeking out of his mouth, dragging across his lips. With his shallow breaths, he’s trying to convince himself he won’t lose this friendship, even though he could’ve ruined this completely.
You feign thinking, looking up, then left and right. Vernon leans in slightly and he’s surprised you can’t hear his heart beating out of his chest. “Yeah, I would say it worked.” The breath he’s held in finally releases as he closes his eyes in relief. “I’ve liked you for a while though, Vernon.”
His eyes shoot open. “Huh?” The corner of his lips quirk up in the most confused smile, an expression you've seen too many times to count and one that you've always smiled at.
"Yeah," you say in a knowing tone. "Remember when we were the only ones at the lunch table, like, a few months ago?"
"Yeah, because everyone had stuff to do during that period." He shakes his head like it's obvious, and you shake your head in return.
You grimace and proceed with your sentence. "It's because they wanted me to talk to you about my feelings. Clearly I didn't do that because you just found out right now." You bury your face in your hands, feeling warmth flood your cheeks. This is how it plays out, out of all worst possible ways?
You feel yourself being pulled up, one hand being caressed. His thumb and index fingers graze underneath your chin, so delicately.
There's a moment where you're looking into his eyes and he's looking into yours, and you just know.
His lips are slightly chapped on yours, and it really was only a peck at first, but your eyes flutter open. You blink a few times, dazed and a little confused.
You go in for a second.
("So you really like me?" is a question both of you say to one another—multiple times—as you leave the classroom, as if it wasn't obvious to the people around you.)

Korean basics - Day 1
Hello, everyone!
I'm starting to show my process learning korean here and I'll try to be as consistent as possible. I normally practice every day but I'm not sure if I will keep that pace once the school year starts.
I actually already learnt some basics before this post but it was all things I did when I first picked up korean a year ago like the alphabet, stroke order and not much more.
I started watching a video on how to learn korean which has a lot of other videos by the same person linked. I continued by watching her tutorial on learning hangul vowels easily because I feel like I subconsciously pay less attention to them even though I already know the alphabet fairly well.
I did a textbook writing exercise digitally and another one on my notebook trying to follow the stroke order. Please forgive the horrible handwriting I draw but I got a really shaky hand still lol.
I also found this guide to sentence structures in korean when I opened Pinterest and it seems pretty useful. I ended up doing a little diagram with symbols instead of words in my notebook.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last thing I did was watch a video about 16 phrases for beginners and called it a day!

Hey, I'd like to know how you teach yourself korean?🙃
안녕! :)
Well ofc it depends on the way you generally like to study (you can try different methods and see which one works better for you if you're still unsure). What I did generally works for learning languages in general (at least for me), but yeah.... (there are some different approaches in this masterpost)
First of all I learnt hangul, then moved onto basic grammar sentences/structure and vocabs... daily stuff mostly, like a kid. And tried to practice writing (both on computer and handwriting) while exercising (relying on Papago too). My resources were/are langblrs on here like @bieups @a-pop-of-korean (TY! Their resources are organized also by levels which is so useful -despite I tend to wander at times lol but WHATEVER) and some others I cannot remember but will try to add (or you can check my reblogs anyway under the tag #ref) and grammar videos on youtube in ENG-KOR or (more recently tho) KOR with ENG/KOR subs. TBH I started with a very basic yt course in Italian for free which offered also explanations by natives/people living in Korea for years + exercises. Anyway when studying grammar, I also take notes actively on paper (I have a bunch of notebooks for grammar and vocabs or other stuff that may be useful -I'm personally badly organized but you can divide notebooks according on your needs like one for exercises, another for grammar, one for vocabs, one for music and so on).
I used to follow a Memrise course (which I totally should start doing again): I found this website/app to be very good for me personally when it comes to learn languages (I studied Russian as well on there). I'm not a Duo fan: their course (especially the Korean one) is not well organized imo... Memrise has good vocabulary but also natives short videos useful for pronunciation/listening (there are many courses there, you can choose any you rather... I think there's a Topik -Korean language exam- one too). I add to this (when I can, that's why I'm lacking a bit in this skill) watching Korean videos on YT (information/news, interviews, lives, tv shows, cooking/recipes videos, or shows like Going Seventeen and Run BTS...) and listening to podcasts (both on yt and spotify) and Kpop (translating songs -some can be found online already translated, also on here ofc which you can use both to learn directly and to check if you did your translation well).
I read Korean texts, even more if from natives (I joined Weverse for example for listening too, but also on here I try to read as much as I can). The only books I bought myself are these two in the pic below (and I bought them on Amazon for like around... 30 euros both? Idr sorry). The visual dictionary has a bit of grammar and general infos here and there too but I admit I am not using it as much as I tought: I learn vocabs more often through sentences/music or texts. The Folktales book instead is like my fav thing rn as it has KOR&ENG texts + vocabulary lists and also exercises/comprehension tests at the end of each story + Korean culture notes that are so very cool. I can read Korean (and also listen: there are audios online for each story) and practice all at once (I also write summaries of those folktales and it's good for fixing certain idiomatic expressions/words too). Disclaimer: it doesn't have much for beginners TBH so wait a little before buying it (if you are thinking about this chance ofc). I think that to learn a language, one needs to understand the culture and traditions (history/development, celebrations, dishes and how they originated too, hot takes/povs on stuff) of the country speaking it as well so I've been trying to learn about this too. And on this matter I find very useful to watch also videos of Italian youtubers living in Korea (a better pov for me since it's by people who were basically raised with my same habits and traditions, at least for most part).
Tumblr media
What else...? Well, I've been writing daily a diary on here for more than a year now (mostly to practice and collect resources) and whenever I get the chance, I try to put myself out there and send asks or reply to people's posts or anything in Korean (ofc to langblr/studyblr/people that know the language LOL -and yeah I'm ANNOYING but... yeah). The only way to learn is to try and make mistakes, hopefully someone will answer me and/or correct me :P
OFC if you can join a proper course or find an online teacher/study buddy on some good app or on here too (@booksbluegurl was up to something, not sure how it ended TBH), probably that would help you better. Interactions are so fundamental, as they help us think in another language more easily and more often imo (and Korean grammar works totally differently from English or Italian, we need to think in a different way when expressing ourselves: "I do this" VS "I this do", eg.). But if you are uncomfortable, take your time by focusing on your learning process... the rest will come with time :) And when you feel okay to, talk out loud in Korean or read out loud: it makes a huge difference as it helps you fix words in your mind and realize where you lack so to work better on that (it's not that easy to pronounce every word/combination correctly at first, I often find myself having to repeat some sentences more than once to be able to say them "decently").
Best of luck on your journey~

Hello, I was reading your about me post and it's very impressive that you've studied six languages! Did you learn them at school? Do you have any tips / resources for language practice (I have a goal of reaching german B2 by next March but I'm really struggling lol). Have a nice day!
hey anon!!! tbh i don't really consider myself an inherently good language learner but it's a mix of heritage + upbringing + personal interest hlksdjfh, if you asked me for a composite fluency score with everything rated out of 1 it'd be more like...... 3.4 languages though 😔 also without constant practice it's been atrophying a lot lately </3 but the reason is basically that i attended several multilingual schools growing up and by middle school was formally studying 4 languages (+ weekly latin that i remember absolutely nothing of LMFAO) and at home i also already speak 3 of those languages with my parents.
the only 2 languages i started properly studying as an adult are korean and german for similar reasons really (i've been into k-pop for half my life so i took a few semesters in undergrad for fun, with german i got into german media, was really enamored with its grammatical complexity, and then self-studied a few notebooks before taking it in university)... as for how to study and practice, i'd say it definitely depends on the language & language family, how much you're able to or willing to immerse yourself, what your specific goals are in terms of proficiency, and ofc what your existing weaknesses are!!! for ex spanish is a lot easier with a french background and japanese is a lot easier with a korean background compared to, say, the other way around, so personally when i was learning korean vocabulary a lot of times i'd check the root to see if it had a sino-korean origin and that helped a lot with memorization. also with languages like korean and german that have many unintuitive grammar rules for native english speakers, i'd argue that it's super super important to spend a lot more time learning those rules and practicing complex sentence construction than with a romance language for example; french has a lot of weird pronunciation and conjugation rules but overall it's not... really that hard. one thing you can do to practice is to start with a very simple sentence (my name is x / the apple is red / etc.) and then keep building clauses on top of it one-by-one to force yourself to use complex structures without overwhelming yourself trying to write the end product all at once, and then slowly build up confidence that way...
then of course i'd say that it's important to balance different kinds of media and study materials if you want to stretch your language-learning muscles and have a more "comprehensive" understanding. so for german this was during the pandemic and what i'd do was find example texts/stories/children's books/fairy tales and record myself reading them so i could listen back on my pronunciation, then for grammar i self-studied 2 textbooks by myself every single day, and for vocabulary + some other grammar tips i did basically the full duolingo tree but i always tried to treat it as a supplemental resource that wasn't crucial to the learning experience (imo it's pretty bad for non-latin scripts though c__c but i thought german was decent). i also did a lot of random a2/b1 online preparation exams for fun shdklfh but i think b2 is a much higher jump so it's probably not that helpful... i also liked to translate song lyrics and another thing i did was watch a show i liked without subtitles and i'd take a whole scene and transcribe what the characters were saying + translate them line-by-line and then double check with the subtitles afterward. but again to me a lot of this was kind of for Fun so i learned a lot of things in isolation and less with the intention of "i'm going to move to this country and that's why i need to learn the language ASAP," so ofc in that case the best way is really to immerse yourself in an environment where you're forced to speak it or to converse with native speakers (if you can find a buddy who speaks german to converse with regularly that'd be a massive boost) you'll almost always learn fastest that way.
like even though i took university courses and learned proper grammar a lot of the korean vocabulary i've learned is kind of like... hsdflhdf internet/fandom-specific, because i'd "immerse" myself by reading fan forums and follow fan accounts and stuff that use a lot of slang and practice my listening by subtitling vlive videos or watching unsubbed idol videos and a lot of that lingo isn't really useful in everyday contexts LOL—which i was fine with and doing on purpose because i don't intend to move to korea and that's the context i had the most use for. but some other languages i know i find more important to be able to speak rather than read because i do need to use them in conversation with relatives and acquaintances around me. so basically the important thing is really being able to pinpoint both your needs and weaknesses — for ex do i need to be better at listening or reading or speaking, is there a certain verb tense or irregular case that i always mess up (if so, note them down and then dedicate a day to just practicing THAT specific concept or until you're confident with it), do i have the basics down but my vocabulary is lacking, do i just not have enough confidence in speaking and get overwhelmed trying to converse with native speakers? — then you can determine the best course of action from there i think... it's basic but just having a consistent practice routine is important even if you're just doing a little bit, like you definitely shouldn't burn yourself out but incorporating some reading every day or continuously reviewing vocabulary can help to stay immersed. and don't be afraid to consume children's media and also don't be afraid to consume more complex media and Not Understand Everything, you have to be comfortable with being confused before it starts making sense you know... idk if that's much help but good luck!!!
