Dylan continues to attempt to talk to Jamie. He ignores her displeasure with him talking to her. He doesn’t believe it’s because he’s a human male. He’s seen her with other human males in the base. He knows Sunstreaker hates that he’s talking to Jamie, which adds to his reasoning to keep talking to Jamie.

The clueless mech who can’t take a hint to back off frustrates Sunstreaker. Male or female, Sunstreaker hates when soldiers don’t treat Jamie with respect. He’s sick of the behaviors some soldiers do towards her even if it’s not harassment of any kind.

Dylan walks down the hall until someone shoves him into the cold metal wall. “I thought I said to leave her alone?” An angry voice asks. “I’m not doing anything illegal -.” Sunstreaker slams Dylan’s head on the wall. “Last chance! Stay the frag away from her!” Sunstreaker lets Dylan go, walking down the hall but expecting the human to attack him. Dylan does nothing, which Sunstreaker finds odd, but he keeps walking.
