Tf is this trying to advertise? What exactly does “join the trend” mean in this context? Like, do they want me to lose my money as Bitcoin loses value?

So, I know I'm a little (very) late to the AvA stuff, but I was rewatching AvM Season 3 for the seven hundredth time and, well, I noticed something and I'm curious to know if it's been discussed before.
AvM Episode 29, Purple's story, specifically, Pink's death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her color changes as she dies, or is represented to have died.
It fades to grey.
Tumblr media
Now, the question is, can we, or rather should we, use this to infer anything lore-related? Was this just an artistic choice to depict the act of becoming unhealthy/dying, or could this be what actually happens to stick figures that die over a period of time? Are their colors linked to their health?
Let's have a bit of fun with it, and presume that the fading of one's color can happen to a stick figure for health-related reasons, as the scene could imply.
This fading seems to involve loosing the saturation of one's color into grey. Saturation is how vibrant a color is, and the complete lack of saturation is greyscale.
The World-of-Alan reason for Pink's death is that she 'got sick', which is where the health connection of this theory comes from. If she did loose her color as she was dying as the notes depict, that loss of color was likely a result of her failing health rather than any other factors, like age or outside variables. A whole bunch of human body stuff are indicators for good vs poor health, including skin color (jaundice and cyanasis are good examples) so why not a stick's color for them?
What if, when they fully die, they lose all of their original color?
Now, let me propose this…
Who else do we know of who has had their color loose vibrancy?

What if Victim's color has lightened because he's ill?

Hello I love your art!!! I was reading through your changeling au and Felix mentions that fae are creatures of mirth. They literally need attention to survive. But what kind of attention? I guess I'm wondering because Adrien has been in the public eye for a while now, but has been personally neglected for even longer. What does that mean for him? Is he starving? Is he in danger of dying? Does he even know it? (I assume not given he doesn't even know he's Fae).
If he is starving / in danger of starving who is the first to realize this?
it depends on the mirth, on the attention, on what it is they seek. Without making things too complicated - I don't like to define everything into neat little boxes after all, there's fun in nuance - Felix is just explaining from his experience, the Fae he was with tended to be "entertained" by certain aspects of their playing, which was the mirth that kept them relevant. Relevancy more than anything is really what keeps their wheels greased.
In Adrien's case though, the reason he's cloying for so many names and to have so many thralls and attendants is because he SHOULD be a more social creature and has been kept woefully alone. He is kinda starving in the way a fae starves - he's relevant, but only in an image his father constructs OF him, which means it isn't REALLY him - and he has no one to play with. No friends, no lovers, and no rivals, makes a very sad fae

To this day, Arsay still holds the record for "fastest climb up a palm tree" in the South Seas (though there's no real competition for it).

A guy with a giant suitcase boarded the bus today without waiting for me to get off (the front is the only accessible exit), and tried to shove his way past me to get on.
I literally blocked his way, looked at him, and went "I need to get off." I made his ass back all the way back off the bus to let me out.
I do not care how able-bodied you are or how authoritatively you try to move. I need this exit, and I'm going to use it. The bus will still be here after I do, I promise.

im baffled about how so many people are suddenly shitting on transmascs for having the audacity to label our discrimination and making fun of terms like transandophobia and mocking us for talking about transmasc-specific issues and discrimination (which is a documented thing! and we have different factors intersect with our oppression than tma folks have intersecting with transmisogyny! and NOONE is saying that transandrophobia existing makes it worse than transmisogyny either!)
like what do you want us to do? are we just supposed to shut up and take it because us being afab means our problems are "lesser"? are we supposed to say that every other trans person has it worse so we can't talk about it anymore? what is the proposed solution here? mocking transmascs and harassing them and sending horrific anons to them isn't exactly a solid answer.
i genuinely truly don't understand why people are so upset about this and why it's such a big deal for us to label our experiences and talk about it when everyone was falling all over themselves to adopt new phrases when the terms transmisogyny and tma/tme started gaining traction. it's gross and weird. we're all siblings in the same fight here, infighting is pointless and a waste of energy. why are we trying to to beat each other down when this energy would be, y'know, actually progressive punching up and fighting the oppressive structures CAUSING these issues instead?

sorry I truly don’t understand how people treat dean not knowing ‘the basics’ for Jack to be admitted to a hospital as some kind of argument for him being a bad father lmao.. Like numero uno he lived his entire life completely independent of any actual medical attention so what the fuck would he know to tell a receptionist and numero dos: the entire episode he is stressing the fuck out about Jack’s condition and anxious to get help for it without all the legal distractions that’s Literally it

Okay I’m going to say something that I’ve been thinking of for a while, but wasn’t sure if it would make sense, but I figured if it doesn’t make sense it, doesn’t make sense and who knows maybe someone else can make sense of it. Here it goes:
This is a very weird connection my brain made, but Jesse from Breaking Bad, Klaus from Umbrella Academy, and Crosshair from The Bad Batch have some vibe about them that are similar to me but I cannot for the life of me put my finger on it. I just don’t know what it is but my brain has linked them together.

That one quote in one of the early game manuals about how Samus "isn't afraid to look silly" if it means getting the job done; of course was already taken to its natural conclusion with that one comic about her entering a clown school to get at Ridley. But like, dialing things back a bit, I find that to be an interesting quote given the Chozo of it all.
Like, on one end of the spectrum, there's Raven Beak with his extreme ego, and it feels like he would either blusteringly reject the notion of anything he does being silly or embarassing, or alternately be too far up his own ass and simply not aknowledge it as such in the first place. Though as far as we know, any direct contact between he and Samus was kept to a minimum, so his influence there is likely similarly negligible.
On the other end there's Old Bird, who along with being very humble, struck me as the sort to intentionally lean into silliness at times in that Cool Trolling Grandparent sort of way. So that probably has a big influence on her not really minding that sort of thing.
But then right in the middle there's Grey Voice, the Complicated Bird Dad™. And he's sitting right on that line between Raven Beak's Proud Warrior Guy attitude and Old Bird's more thoughtful wisdom. And he strikes me as the type who would actually aknowledge something embarassing as something embarassing, but also do his best to stoically downplay his actual level of embarassment. And I feel like if Samus picked up on that, that's probably the main model for her own approach to any embarassment she might still feel despite the aforementioned Old Bird innoculation.
So basically, what I'm saying is that if she were to make a big fumble during a mission in her time with the Federation, those with her probably saw a rather bird-like (or cat-like for an easier point of reference) mannerism of smoothing her metaphorical ruffled feathers and playing it off as not having happened; "You saw nothing" without any words.

I've seen so many people say "I loved Mike until s3/s4" but like... literally what did he do???
I am genuinely asking because he's been my fav since s1 so maybe I've just always seen his POV and not considered others? Idk, in all his arguments I can see both sides... where he's coming from and where the other party is coming from. I think there is always an explanation for the characters on either side of the argument. So ig what I'm asking is: is this a problem with me just giving him too much slack cuz he's my child or is it a problem with others not giving his POV a chance?
EDIT: I want to add that I know he was rude and said some things he didn't mean, but he always apologizes (or at least tries) and obv regrets it every time (lashing out on loved ones is also a trauma symptom just saying). I also just simply don't think that's a reason to hate a character cuz like... who hasn't ever said something they don't mean or been a little rude? He's human, he should be able to make mistakes without the (ga) fandom going crazy hating him.
