my silly fan-made greek mythology lego thing :3

finally decided that if i’m gonna be making a lego greek mythology thing (inspired by what lmk did with jttw) i might as well start slowly introducing the characters

so here’s our main characters :3!

Icarus (Left) and Atalanta (Right) are friends, and have been since they were little. Icarus 🪽☀️

Icarus is one of our main protagonists for LEGO Mythos! He's an energetic and cool guy who can barely fly, despite having wings. 

In Greek Mythology, Icarus was imprisoned in a tower, along with his father Daedalus, because Theseus escaped the labyrinth he created, which caused their King to believe them to be traitors. They escaped the tower with a pair of wings that Daedalus made. 

Icarus' father warned him to not fly too close to the sea or sun, but Icarus didn't listen. He's flew too high, causing the wax used to make his wings to meet, and he plunged into the sea and died. 

This Icarus isn't actually the Icarus in the story though, simply named after him because of the yellow (now blue) wings on his back. Why he has these, no one knows. He lives with his aunt Pandora.

Icarus seems to have a penchant for getting caught up in trouble, which is why he's constantly at the centre of every villainous attack on the city he lives in, New Atlas (which isn't an actual city in real life). 

Icarus has a weird talent for being able to beat maze puzzles, and even though he can't fly with his wings, he can still hover and glide, although it's only for a short amount of time (like Pit from Kid Icarus). 

Icarus is this world's MK.

His voice actor would be Anthony Del Rio.

Atalanta 🏹👑

Atalanta is our second main protagonist, alongside Icarus. She's a determined go-getter who doesn't stop when she puts her mind to something.

In the myths, she was abandoned by her birth father and left to die, only to be found by a she-bear (a symbol of Artemis) and be raised by the bear to become a strong huntress and devoted herself to Artemis. 

In this story, Atalanta was mysteriously abandoned in a forest. She was found by Artemis, who named her after Atalanta and brought her to be raised by a well off family. 

Later on in life, when she and Icarus begin getting caught up in godly shenanigans, Artemis appears before Atalanta and offers the mortal to be her successor, whom Atalanta immediately agrees.

Atalanta enables all of Icarus' dumb ideas and actions, but knows when it goes too far. She always has Icarus' back no matter what, just like how he has hers. 

Atalanta is this world's Mei.

In honor of Sherbert’s Lego Stream that happened earlier, I have silly Headcanon that definitely, absolutely, wasn’t created by that stream /hj /silly

I present, Fable not knowing how to bond with children so he just *creates* Lego sets and builds them with Icarus because let’s be honest- aside from manipulating that crap out of that smol child, he doesn’t know how to actually interact with children specifically. /lh but not really cause this is c!fable

was the peach being a metaphor in 1x06 foreshadowing...

You're damn right it was.

I've talked about it before in this post, but it's clear to me that MK only wanted the peach of immortality in 1x06 to become more like Wukong—or rather, to become more powerful/immortal like Wukong ("I just wanted to be good enough...like you" from 1x09 anyone? Tbh most s1 episodes are centered around MK wanting to be good/strong enough soooooo). The peach is a source of power/immortality, something both MK and Wukong have reached for at the expense of others:

Macaque: "No that's YOU! You're the one always running off! Looking for more power, more sources of immortality—you're the one who wouldn't quit while were were ahead!"

But, at the same time....the peach is a symbol of Wukong and Macaque's friendship:

The same way it was in 1x06 for Mei and MK:

The only reason either of them ever wanted power was to be strong enough for the people they cared about after all. The peach was a metaphor, and they "really wanted that peach"—it was a metaphor for really wanting friendship, and also really wanting power. Wanting their cake and eating it too.

I appreciated that the second time Wukong gives Macaque a peach, it's a "downgrade"—just a regular popsicle, versus a peach of immortality. Like being together is finally enough for Wukong, and it'll be enough to pull them through. (Which is something Macaque thought from the beginning: "Together there was nothing that could stop the two of them, either in the celestial realms or on earth" [2x07]).

Bonus detail:

MK in 2x07 attempted to bring his friends bags of peach chips. So. Whatever.

+ some explanations/headcanons:

"book club" is the older teens' role for discussing all things stoner. eddie thought it would sound too boring of a role for the younger kids to ask them about. dustin relentlessly asks eddie what kind of books he reads to see if he's already read them.

mike, lucas, dustin and erica all play characters they canonically have in the show. gareth's is canon from flight of icarus (as is doug's name). jeff plays a warforged called realboy who refuses to believe that he's a robot, and boingy, well. boingy's whoever and whatever you want them to be.

doug made the server on eddie's request. eddie swore he could handle having owner powers. he could not. but he insists that the dm should have omnipotence in their campaign's server, so doug gives him the illusion of such. doug removed channel and role adding permissions within less than an hour of granting them to eddie.

erica periodically gets doug to kick lucas out of the pranksters chat as a prank in and of itself. lucas will drive himself mad expecting a prank to be planned against him at any moment, erica will revel in the psychological warfare.

simp city started out as a joke where doug banished the 3 boys for talking too much about their beloved blorbos in the brainrot channels. when mike started really trying to be a part of everything that eddie is, even if he doesn't really like some of the same things (see: basic miw lyric status to mimic eddie's), the boys subtly alluded to mike that they talk about crushes, including one miss nancy wheeler, to keep him well away. (they are all nancy simps though)

On today's episode of Silvi Loves FOP:ANW A LOT, we have my interpretations of my two favorite characters! Except I don't really interpret them super differently from the show so its mostly them in my style

SOME NOTES UNDER THE CUT CUZ THEY'RE A LITTLE LONG!

Hazels colors were really tricky because I kept tweaking the sweater... I unfortunately forgot her iconic two tufts in her hair in my doodles and needed to rectify that immediately. One of said doodles included her friendship bracelets, and they make a return here! She has ones with all her friends! The colors were adapted from one of my friend's drawings :]

Her background also has flower and rock shapes because. Why not. The rocks are obvious the flowers are more of a me-thing.

I have a lot of thoughts and Emotions about Dev, he really is iconic and I want to put his dad into a giant hamster cage. Anyways, as much as I enjoy heterochromia Dev, it isn't a hc I subscribe to as much as strictly colored contacts Dev. I like to think he has green eyes but wears blue contacts to match his dad. Brand loyalty, or something.

He has a mole and a widows peak when i draw him, mostly because I forgot he didn't? And then couldn't stop drawing him that way. I also misinterpreted his shoes as having wings and yknow what I like that interpretation. Something something icarus metaphor. Dev also has his friendship bracelet but I think he threw it away before taking over fairyworld with Irep and. You Know. Angst Ensues. For all intents and purposes Dev is also 10 but I ran out of room to write it

Extra notes uhhh I think it's interesting Hazel's undershirt is white and Devs is black. Obviously their designs are meant to contrast each other, with Hazels vibrance and Devs sleek, brand minimalism, (i attempted to reflect this in their backgrounds) but that's a neat touch i didn't notice until now. Also Devs shoes look like smth out of LEGO Monkie Kid... crossover au don't tempt me

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?

Needless I went off the rails with this one! LMAO

This became an excuse to draw Celarthur/Merthur content in different scenarios & and outfits. And I had too much fun with the designs of each one.

Sun King & Moon Queen AU:

Basically, I was watching Lego Monkey Kid and this happened! I really wanted to do something that really got the essence of the show. If you watch the show you can really tell I kinda (or a lot) based it around the Lady Bone Demon & Sun Wukong. And of course some classic Chinese folklore...

It is a total rom-com scenario, with the Moon Queen betrothed to the Sun King... they but heads at first then slowly but surely fall in love.

Sleeping Beauty/ Fairy Tale AU:

This one was really made for young Sir Arthur & Celestine... I couldn't help it guys it was such a classic movie. Malfience icon (she's definitely be Morgan in this Au).

Especially when I was looking for dancing references I kept looking at the sleeping beauty reference dance sequence the most. (for a project to be revealed later still a secret) So I had to give a shoutout to that of course, love how it turned out!

Super Paper Mario Au:

I think this one is my favorite one I always got emotional for Count Bleck & Tippi's backstory. Their love story is quite similar to theirs....they just fit the characters so well.

In all honesty, if Sir Arthur didn't have Meta to ground him... then he definitely would have become like "Count Bleck." Oh but just like Tippi Celestine would still love and forgive Arthur anyways.

And here is an Au relevant to the plot of KBASW... I did wanna draw out more scenarios relevant to the plot of KBASW but then they kept leaking out to spoiler-ish territory.

Next Scenario Happy Ending Route. (Basically, Celestine & Arthur are running the GSA and this is a daily occurrence~)

They still have to wait for...(Kirby is lost for a while and is found by Meta and of course baby imprints on him and he's still Meta's) They become this obnoxiously flirty-loving couple... MK's seen this since he was a kid so he's desensitized. They do get work done I promise ~ (LMAO)

This is where Celestine finds a cure for her " broken warp star" situation. They basically gave Gala the same isolation treatment (because he was supposed to be the galaxy's savior~). But Celty (secretly visits him as often as she can to ensure he isn't lonely.

After this time Celestine finds Meta in the Fountain of Dreams (before anyone could find him). The Ancients were so preoccupied with Gala that they weren't even montioring the fountain.

Basically, no one knew that Meta Knight was born but Celestine & Arthur. He's raised in secret at the temple. (They make a cute little family together ~) And Celestine would set up secret little play dates for the both of them.

A few years passed and then BOOM!

They manage to catch Icarus in his crimes for "forcibly creating another astral from Void." (Kirby was always going to be made but he came out too early due to Icarus' involvement.)

Morpho still takes his life but they manage to trace it back to Uther... The people are now questioning the Acients in their decisions and soon fall out of power due to the controversy. To save face they crystalize Sir Uther... (HA) but that doesn't help them at all~

It was during this time that Celestine properly revealed herself as Merlyn... WHAT!? Another blunder blew up in their faces...and the people immediately began to rally behind her. The popularity of her good deeds as Merlyn is what gets her into the seat of power.

Leaving Celestine in charge of the GSA (finally left in the right hands!) And of course, she takes Arthur with her as her right-hand man and well I think the GSA would become more of a light-hearted place after that.

(Morgan leaves, she doesn't fit into this hippie-dippy-happy place but she's not evil per se... she kinda just travels around as she pleases and she does find her happiness being a wanderer.)

Nightmare is still a problem but Nightmare Enterprise is never created, so it's not as widespread. So it's managed and the galaxy is thriving under Celestine's control. And of course, Arthur & Celestine confess their feeling for each other yada yada yada....

And of course, Kirby defeats Nightmare and that's it~

Despite this happy ending Meta Knight never meets Jecra & Garlude as a result of this. Along with Kirby never going to Dreamland or meeting everyone; Fumu, the cappies, no nothing. And the need for Star Allies no longer exists.
