my favorite thing about healthcare industry is doctors don't give you a diagnosis (i have things like 'unknown disorder' in my records) but also overprescribe you meds. often not caring that you're already taking other meds or that the meds they gave you will make your other conditions worse. straight up they don't even ask if you're on any meds and if you question 'hey this might not work' they either ignore that or start to argue with you. 'oh you want a magic fix! magic pill that will change everything! you're lazy and don't want to get better!'. then you go back to them and say 'hey that meds don't work'. and they don't listen and just prescribe you more of it. 'oh you need to take them for months to see any effects' even tho you saw that doctor 6 months ago and they just didn't look up your records, didn't prepare for the appointment or anything. like at best the meds won't work but at worst they cause harm. how many folks walk overmedicated because of either misdiagnosis or doctors failing to find the right treatment for them. but yea good luck advocating for yourself

Sick Days
Genre: Fluff
DNI: NON-MLM/NBLM, fujoshis, mlm/nblm fetishizers
Side info: Sex is not specified so cis and trans men can read it. There is only one gender specific word (he) so if you are non-binary and are comfortable with it you can read it also :)
Character(s)/Reader: Neuvillette x Male Reader, mentioned Lyney and Wriothesley
Your eyes blinked open as your alarm clock rang loudly at your bedside, arm reaching over to turn it off. As you sat up to get ready for your day, you noticed something off about yourself. Your limbs felt sore, your throat ached, and, weirdly, the temperature of the room was so cold it felt as though you were in Snezhnaya. You quickly laid down again and bundled yourself up in your blankets, but it wasn't enough. Your body still shivered from how cold you felt.
Great. Of course you got severely sick on the day of your interview with Lyney that you worked so hard to get. You had wanted to write an exclusive on his newest trick and maybe even get some personal information on the mysterious magician, but that definitely wasn't happening now. You whined as you felt the pain in your limbs worsen as you tried to get comfortable, but it looked like that also wasn't happening either. The bedroom door creaked open as your husband peeked into the room.
"(Name)? Are you alright? You're normally up by now." He asked gently as he walked over to the side of the bed. He noticed the look of pain on your face and kneeled beside you, placing the back of his hand on your forehead.
"It seems you have a fever." He said as he cupped your cheek, trying to comfort you as he saw the sad look in your eyes.
"Today was supposed to be my big day. I'm supposed to interview Lyney I can't be sick today." You whispered to him with a frown. His eyes softened at your desperate tone, and he grabbed your hand to kiss it.
"I'm sorry, my love. I know how long you've been looking forward to this." He spoke, thumb rubbing the spot he kissed soothingly. Getting sick wasn't something that was new for you since you've always had a weak immune system, but that didn't mean it was something you were used to. Feeling so horribly was something you could never get used to. Luckily since Neuvillette was a strong and mighty dragon that meant he had a strong and mighty immune system, meaning he could take care of you. Although you hated feeling like such a burden to him, you loved that he was willing to care for you.
"I'm assuming from how bad your state is that you have a sore throat. Would you like some tea to help soothe it?" You gave him a nod in return because of how much pain you were in from speaking earlier, and watched as he left the room to get the tea. Neuvillette was practically an expert at making tea due the many times you've been sick. The first time he made it it was, to put it nicely, not that good. He had no clue how to make it since he preferred to drink water, but with the help of Wriothesley he learned to make delicious tea just for you.
A little later, your husband came in holding a tray with a teapot, a teacup, and some small snacks for you to have in case you were hungry. Once you sat up, he carefully extended the legs on it and placed it so it was hovering over your lap. He then poured you a cup of tea and added some items that would help soothe your throat before handing it to you. You took a sip and smiled as the liquid hit your tastebuds. You could barely taste anything due to how stuffed up your nose was, but you could taste the love and care that went into it. Yes it was a cheesy thing to think, but when it came to your husband these thoughts came naturally.
"Is it helping at all?" He asked as he watched you drink. You nodded again and picked up one of the snacks he prepared. Hesitantly, you ate it and thankfully did not puke due to your nausea.
Once you were finished, Neuvilette cleaned everything up and came back with some extra blankets. As he tucked you in, you looked at the clock and realized that he hadn't left for work yet. He was definitely going to be late if he kept tending to you.
"Neuvillette, don't you have work to do? You're going to be late." You said softly, not wanting to use your voice more than you needed to.
"I've cleared my schedule and will be staying home to take care of you. You should know by now that I will never leave you home alone when ill." He said, lightly scolding you for trying to make him go to work when you're sick. You smiled at him as he finished making you comfortable, and watched as he got into clothing that was more casual.
"Is there anything else I can get you?" He asked after putting on a shirt. You shook your head and watched as he started to walk out of the room. You panicked and yelped a wait, a sharp pain in your throat making you wince. He stopped and looked back at you, waiting for your request.
"Can you cuddle with me until I fall asleep?" You asked shyly. He smiled and walked over to the bed, getting underneath all of the blankets so you could cuddle him properly. He felt your arms wrap around him and he did the same to you, holding you against him protectively. His hands ran through your hair as you rested against him, humming gently as you hugged him tighter.
Eventually you fell asleep cuddled up in his arms. Neuvillette watched as you slept peacefully against him, smiling to himself because of how adorable you looked.
He hated seeing you in pain from how sick you get, but part of him loved moments like these. Moments where he could provide for you. He loved cooking for you, making you tea, making you comfortable in bed. He loved doing things for you, and when you were sick you never rejected his acts of service. Neuvillette knew you thought of yourself as a burden whenever you got sick, but he was always overjoyed to be able to care for you.
Maybe one day you will let him service you when you're healthy, though he doubts that'll happen anytime soon. Looks like he'll just have to service you as much as he can while you're still sick.
'Perhaps I could get him some flowers?'
---------------------------------------------------
Needed to make some Neuvillette fluff because he makes me swoon. He's so cute 😭
I hope you guys enjoy! Sorry if there are any errors, I only reread once because I am too lazy to reread it again

~stomach bug~
Summary: Vaggie gets a stomach bug while she's staying over at Carmilla's. luckily, her mother figure takes care of her makes her feel loved.
“Thanks for letting me stay the night,” Vaggie told Carmilla when she went to say goodnight.
They usually had training sessions in the morning or afternoon, but Carmilla was a bit busy during the day and they needed to do one at night. With all the exercise she was getting and how late it was, she became exhausted. Not to mention she had managed to get a few bruises. However, Carmilla was very kind and offered to let Vaggie stay the night. She knew how tired the girl must’ve been. Not to mention how dangerous it was at night. If she wouldv’e walked home, there was a huge chance she could get mugged or hurt badly and couldn’t fight back because of exhaustion.
“You’re welcome, Vaggie. If you need anything during the night, don’t hesitate to wake me up.” Carmilla replied, walking into her own room. She wanted vaggie to feel safe with her and like she could go to her with anything, no matter the time.
Since Odette and Clara were already asleep, Vaggie knew she should get some rest too. She had already showered and gotten into some of Carmilla’s actual daughter's old pajamas since they were the only ones that would fit her. Unfortunately, the only room available for her to sleep in was her babysitting room. The room where she was babysat by Carmilla whenever she felt small and couldn’t get Charlie to take care of her, or just wanted Carmilla to.
It was a little weird since the bed looked a lot like a children’s bed. The blanket covering it was a cute pink and white one with butterflies on it. Vaggie would just have to deal with it though.
It wasn’t long before Vaggie fell asleep. She was beyond tired from the intense workout she went through.
When Vaggie woke up the next day, she was greeted with a horrible stomach cramp. She knew it wasn’t her time of the month so what could it be? She whimpered as another wave passed through her. It was really bad. Something inside her told her that she needed Carmilla.
However, Vaggie couldn’t get up. The pain made it impossible to move if she didn’t want to aggravate it even more. So she reached over to the nightstand and grabbed her phone, hoping Carmilla’s hellphone was nearby. She hit call and waited for Carmilla to answer. But she never answered. Instead, she heard footsteps coming towards her room. The door opened and the overlord stood in the doorframe. She saw Vaggie curled up and whimpering and rushed to her side.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” she asked. The way she asked was so soft and gentle that Vaggie’s headspace took a dip. Whenever she got sick in heaven, no one would show her this kind of motherly love. She was heavenborn and never knew her mom. The only people to take care of her were nurses and herself. And the nurses never treated anyone as kindly as Carmilla was treating her right now.
“Tummy hurts…” Vaggie whined. The use of the word ‘tummy’ instead of stomach, gave away the fact that she was slipping.
Carmilla put a hand to her forehead and checked her temperature. She felt a little warm, but nothing too concerning. Probably a low-grade fever.
Vaggie whimpered again as another wave of pain ran through her. She was starting to feel nauseous as well.
“It’ll be okay, sweetie. How about I go grab you some medicine and see how you feel?” Carmilla asked. But Vaggie shook her head.
“Don’t wanna be alone…” she mumbled. It was scary to be by yourself while in such a vulnerable state.
Carmilla sighed. The only thing she could think of that would make her feel better would be medicine. But the girl was also feeling really small at the moment.
Suddenly, Vaggie shot up and pulled the covers off, seemingly trying to rush somewhere. However, she couldn’t even make it off the bed before she threw up. Stomach water and bile fell onto the sheets and her pajamas. She cried, humiliated that she had just puked in front of someone and on herself.
“No, no, don’t cry! It’s okay, I’m not mad,” Carmilla put a hand on her back and rubbed it soothingly as she retched once more.
Carmilla could now tell what was going on. Vaggie probably contracted a stomach bug.
Once she was done, Carmilla comforted her as she cried. She knew how bad and embarrassing it must’ve felt.
After she had finished crying, Carmilla lifted her up and onto the floor. The movement had caused her stomach to cramp up again, prompting Vaggie to whimper. If the girl was in that much pain from moving, then there was no way she’d be able to make it to the bathroom. So as Carmilla got her out of her soiled pajamas, she put her in a diaper and onesie so it would be easier and quicker to change her. The room had all of Vaggie’s little gear in it that Carmilla had bought for her. She liked to give her small gifts whenever she did something good.
Once she was done, she grabbed a red stuffed bear with small devil horns off of the stuffed animal hammock in the corner of the room. She handed it to the girl, who was curled up on the floor.
Due to all the commotion and crying, Clara had woken up. She walked into the room and saw her mother gently trying to soothe Vaggie as she was softly crying on the floor.
“What’s going on?” she asked.
“Vaggie contracted a stomach bug and slipped into her little headspace,” Carmilla explained. Then she got an idea.
“Could you stay here and look after her while I change her bedsheets and get her medicine?” she asked.
“Yeah, I can do that,” She replied. Clara was always happy to help her little sister. She and Odette were very supportive of Vaggie’s regression and often helped out their mother whenever she was caring for her. Whether it was getting her a new bottle and just looking after her when Carmilla needed a break, they loved to help take care of her.
As Carmilla took the bedding downstairs, Clara tried her best to comfort the crying girl. She had whimpered that her eye was also starting to hurt as well. Clara guessed that it must be a phantom pain from the stress of getting sick.
She dug through the nightstand drawer and found a couple of pacifier cases with pacis inside. She picked out one she thought Vaggie might like and a clip. She attached it to her onesie and popped it into her mouth.
The pacifier helped her a little bit, but not much. She was still in pain and Clara didn’t know what to do. But she did get an idea. Sitting next to her, she pulled her little sister in her lap and held her. It actually seemed to help calm the girl down.
When Carmilla returned, she had a baby bottle with water in her hands and new bedsheets, as well as a vial of medicine syrup. She set the bottle and medicine on the nightstand before putting the new sheets on the bed. She stepped over to the closet to get new covers and put those on the bed as well.
Clara left the room soon after to let Vaggie be taken care of by her mama.
Carmilla lifted Vaggie from the floor and placed her in the bed. Once putting the bed guards up, she placed a trashcan on the opposite side of Vaggie, leaning against the bars. She held Vaggie sit up so she could give her some medicine.
“No!” Vaggie pouted once Carmilla poured the syrup into the tiny cup the vial came with.
“Mija, it’s going to help you,” she tried to explain.
“Is nasty!” she complained.
Carmilla sighed.
“I’ll let you pick out a new toy when you get better~,” She sing-songed, trying to convince Vaggie to take the medicine. She was going to get her something anyways, so why not use the fact to get her to take the syrup.
Vaggie looked skeptical but took the cup and downed the syrup. She made a disgusted face once she was done and handed the cup back to Carmilla.
Carmila then climbed into the bed with the bottle in her hands and pulled Vaggie into her lap so she could help hydrate her. Once Vaggie finished the water, she curled up against her caregiver. She was so small compared to Carmilla that it actually felt like she had a toddler/baby in her lap.
Carmilla held her little as she waited for the medicine to kick in. However, Vaggie’s stomach kept growing and making noises. She would whimper as well whenever it would happened. Suddenly, she started to move, trying to get to the trashcan. Carmilla knew what was happening and quickly shoved the can under her chin.
“In here, bebe, it’s okay,” she told her as she heaved aggressively into the garbage. It looked really painful and Carmilla took pity on the poor girl. Unfortunately, the medicine came right up. That’s when she remembered that Vaggie was an angel, not a demon. That meant her body could react differently to demon products.
Once she was finished retching,Carmilla put the trash can to the side before picking Vaggie up. She noticed the girl had an accident during the heaving and needed her diaper changed. She heaved really hard, it made sense that her bladder gave out on her.
When she finished taping the new padding up, she gave her little tummy kisses, hoping to help her feel better. It made her giggle happily.
It wasn’t long until that happiness turned into sadness. The pain was back again. This stomach bug really hated her. So Carmilla picked her up again and cradled her in her arms while she cuddled her in the bed, trying to provide the most comfort she could.
Carmilla knew that vaggie would likely have to stay the whole day or at least until she got better. So she used vaggie’s phone to text Charlie that her girlfriend was sick with a bug and was feeling small.
Not even 15 minutes passed and Charlie was already outside of the warehouse, a basket in her hands. She was let in by Odette and went up to the room that Vaggie was in.
When Charlie saw them, she couldn’t help but awe. It was always adorable to see Vaggie little but it was even more adorable to see so clingy towards this famous overlord.
“Aww, hey, you two,” She whispered, not wanting to disturb Vaggie. She seemed like she was trying to sleep but wasn’t unconscious just yet.
“What are you doing here? Carmilla asked quietly, also not wanting to bother the tired girl.
“You can’t expect me to not show up when you tell me my girlfriend is sick and slipped,” she explained. She set the basket down and took out a baby blanket. She draped it over Vaggie’s shoulders before turning back to the basket. She took out two thermoses, one named “Broth” and the other named “milk”. Both cups felt really hot.
“These are for when she feels up to eating,” She explained. She knew that whenever Vaggie got sick, she would not have much of an appetite. It wasn’t healthy and she usually needed to practically force her to eat. But some of the few things she would consume was warm milk and ramen broth.
“Thank you, princess,” Carmilla thanked her.

i know you've already done a couple period fics. but would you be open to doing a period fic, while reader has a cold or stomach bug?
currently i have both- while also being on my period-
so we love the passing out while standing, fever showers, throwing up AND bloody sheets. great combo-
Periods plus puking
Pairings: Wandanat x R
Word count: 1.9K
Summary: your period and the stomach flu. Could life get any worse?
TW: fever, Flu, non-sexual nudity, period, blood, slight angst, vomit, fainting
A/n I think I covered everything you wanted plus I threw in a few more. :) hope you like it.
When you woke up with a wetness between your legs and the sheets felt damp you almost cried. You had been awake half the night with your head in the toilet. A mix of a stomach bug and your period the cramps were unending. Your girlfriends were out on a mission and were suppose to be home early this morning but they must have slept elsewhere so they didn’t wake you. Jokes on them you had barely slept.
It was two am when you finally shut your eyes and your body seemed to take over and sleep.
It took all the strength you had to pull back the sheet and get up. Feeling the uncomfortable ache or nausea return you knew you had mere seconds before you were sick again. On shaky legs you pulled yourself along by the wall. Falling to your knees as you gagged and retched. More stringy puke came up and the sour smell assaulted your senses. Tears welled in your eyes before slipping down your cheeks. You choked back a sob and ducked your head again to be sick. After you felt the urge pass you didn’t have the energy to flush so you simply starfishes on the cool tiled floor. The room seemed both too hot and too cold somehow. Your blood soaked Pj shorts would have to wait until the rooms stopped spinning to be dealt with.
So here you were, laid on the bathroom floor, life couldn’t seem to get any worse. You closed your eyes and sighed. Hoping they would be back soon.
Wanda had made breakfast, they wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed when they returned, as a sorry for being pulled away last minute for a mission. Wanda had just kicked open your bedroom door with Nat following close behind when she almost dropped the plates. A huge bloodstain marked the crisp blue sheets and she stifled a gasp. She immediately felt bad she hadn’t been there to help you out on your period. Looking around she saw the light on in the bathroom and set down the food on the bedside table.
“I’ll get started on the sheets.” Nat frowned.
“Don’t worry about it.” Wanda waved her hands and the sheets were fresh and clean again.
“Neat trick.” Nat grinned
“Comes in handy from time to time.” She smiled
“Let’s go find our girl.” Nat shot back
“Y/n/n?” Wanda called, knocking on the closed door. When all she heard was a groan in response she tried the handle, frowning it was open. Carefully she stepped into the bathroom.
A hand came to her mouth at the sight of you soaked from the waist down in blood and laid on the floor. Your cheeks were flushed and she saw puke in the toilet. Carefully she came and sat by your side.
“Oh love. Why didn’t you call us baby.” She cooed, running a hand through your hair.
Nat walked in and frowned. Walking over to the toilet she grimaced and flushed the evidence of your earlier activities.
“Baby you feel a bit warm, can I check your temperature love?” Wanda asked placing the back of her hand to your sweaty forehead.
“I’ll get it” nat said and began rummaging in the cupboard.
“Poor baby, you’ve really been through it huh my love. And without natty and i here to help you. Its ok my sweet we’re here now and we’re not going anywhere.” She continued to brush the sweaty hair from your face.
“Got it.” Nat said, coming over to hand Wanda the thermometer.
“Open up my sweetness.” Wanda said tapping your chin with her thumb.
You opened your mouth and Wanda chuckled, slipping the metal under your tongue. Quickly you sat up as the feeling in your mouth brought on another bout of gagging. Wanda quickly removed the thermometer and nat guided your shaking form over the toilet as you were sick again. Wanda drew slow circles on your back with her hand and whispered sweet nothings in your ear. Nat held your hair back and neither girl shied away when they heard the sick splash into the bowl.
“Aww baby. Its ok. We’re here. Get it all up.” Wanda cooed, when the feeling passed you flopped against Wanda eyes half closed.
Nat slipped into the room, you hadn’t even noticed her leave, too busy being sick.
“I got this from Bruce. This way we wont have to stick anything in her mouth.” Nat explained handing Wanda the fancy thermometer.
Wanda ran the tip over your forehead and it beeped straight away.
She showed the number to Nat who let out a low whistle. Your hands quickly came to your ears as the noise made the headache worse.
“Sorry love.” Nat said pulling your hands from your ears. “You have a high fever my sweet. I was just worried is all.”
“How high?” You croaked throat raw from being sick. It was the first words you had said to them in days and you sounded like you were half frog.
“Oh love, try not to speak.” Wanda cooed, when the couple words had brought on a harsh fit of coughing which descended into gagging and Wanda held you in her arms over the toilet. Nat pulled your hair into a bun and tied it up with the wristband she always had on her.
You gagged fruitlessly, your body having ejected everything already. Tears burned your eyes and you finally stopped.
“Nothing left.” You coughed pitifully.
“Shh.” Wanda pressed a cold finger to your lips.
“Your fever is 102.9 my love, and you know what that means.” Nat sighed running a hand through her own fiery red locks.
“No shower.” You whined like a toddler.
“Aww bubs it’ll be over soon, plus we need to clean you up down there.” Wanda cooed motioning to your lower half. You had honestly forgotten about your period. Which made itself known once more with another harsh cramp. You whined and curled into a ball in Wanda’s arms which wrapped around you protectively. Her fingers glowing a soft red over your back as she used her magic to force your muscles to relax. You make a choked noise somewhere between a sob and a sigh at the feeling and you relaxed in her arms.
“Do you think your done, can we get you in the shower my sweet.” Nat cooed, crouching down beside Wanda. You nodded weakly and tried to stand. Too fast as your vision swam and dipped and everything went black.
“Y/N!” Nat cried as she grabbed your unconscious form before you could hit your head on the bathtub behind you. She carefully laid you in the recovery position like Bruce had shown her in case you threw up again. Wanda stroked the hair from your flushed cheeks and softly tapped your cheek.
“Y/n/n, sweetness, my love. Come back to us baby girl.” Wanda said softly.
Your eyes fluttered open and Wanda heaved a sigh of relief.
“Aww bubs, stood up too fast. Come let us help you.” Wanda turned on the bath and nat took her position beside you.
“Slowly now.” Nat said as you tried to sit up as you felt a hand on your lower back guide you into a sitting position.
“You body only reacted like that because its been under too much stress lately but it you pass out again I’m taking you to see Bruce. No ifs or buts.” She said firmly but sweetly. Nat put her armed a under you, scooping you up and putting you on the counter. Wanda carefully with the help of her magic to hold you up, took off your shirt, putting your shorts and undies in the sink to be washed later and scooped you up and stepped into the tub. Passing you to Nat she sat down in the cool water. Nat passed you to her. You shivered when your body came into contact with the water, squirming and whining until Wanda’s arms wrapped around you.
“Im gonna go deal with this.” Nat said holding up your bloodied clothes.
“Ok love I’ve got her for now.” Wanda agreed. Your eyes were glazed over as you slipped them shut. Dozing in Wanda’s lap as she used her magic to clean you off and keep your blood from staining the bath water red.
When your temp was lower and she heard soft snores coming from you she relaxed. Slightly. There was still a long way for you to go to get better but it was looking up slightly. She held you still in her arms when your eyes shot open and you sat up quickly. Panicking Wanda summoned a sick bag and thrust it under your chin as you brought up stringy bile. She rubbed your back and whispered in your ear.
“Its ok. Its ok my sweet. Your ok. Im here” she said over and over again until you had stopped.
You simply deflated, exhausted in her arms. Wanda threw away the sickbag and carefully stood with you in her arms shushing you as you whined. Using her magic she dressed you after drying you off and avoiding getting blood on the towel. She made sure there was a pad in your undies for you as she slipped them onto your hips. All your weight was lent against her as you stood with the help of her magic. After you were both dressed Wanda scooped you up again and carried you into the bedroom. Depositing you carefully on the bed she pulled up the sheets and slipped in beside you. Running a hand through your hair she took your temperature again the lower number giving her hope. She summoned a sickbag and put it on the bedside incase you were sick again and she wasn’t awake.
You were snoring softly as the door cracked open and nat came back.
“How’s she doing?” Nat asked concerned.
“Better but not good, she was sick again in the bath.”
“With you in it?” Nat asked wrinkling her nose slightly.
“No i summoned sickbag before she threw up on us both and in the water.” Wanda said. “Her temp has lowered slightly which is a good sign and I’ve put a sickbag by the bed if she needs it. But right now she needs sleep, i asked Jarvis and apparently she barely got three hours last night. Poor thing was up all night with her head in the toilet.” Wanda sighed looking down at you while you slept, and running her hands through your hair.
“Well we’re here now and thats what counts the most i guess.” Nat sighed and slipped in on your other side sandwiching you between both girls.
And thats how you slept for the next few days, under the watchful eyes of your girlfriends and there were careful to always have one of them with you to hold your hand as you were sick and change the sheets when you bled on them. You couldn’t have asked for better girlfriends and frankly the rings in your bedside draw was on your mind the whole time only solidifying your plans with their love.

Thank you it's my first request 😘

Sickie: Heeseung
Caregivers: Enhypen
prompt @whumpril
No one’s POV.:
The members of Enhypen were absolutely hyped. Not only did they get a prolonged break from their schedules, they even got to go on a trip together, so they could get away from their hectic idol lives and do some bonding as a group. Everyone was excited to get going, though one of the members couldn’t shake a faint feeling that something was wrong. Heeseung was a little uneasy when they got into the van, his stomach feeling bubbly with what he figured was nerves. The whole situation felt wrong to the eldest but he guessed it was just because they had never gotten such a long break, so his sub consciousness couldn’t help but distrust it. “Cheer up, hyung”, Niki giggled as he plopped into the seat next to Heeseung, “There are two weeks of freedom ahead of us.” The eldest sighed, trying to relax into his seat. Niki was right. There was no reason to hold on zo all this tension in his stomach.
To all their surprise, Heeseung fell asleep only thirty minutes into their five-hour-drive, seemingly more rundown from their recent schedules than he had been aware of. That made the prospect of a two week vacation, so much more alluring. He’d catch up on all that lost sleep soon, so good thing he had already started. The members toned it down immediately when they noticed their hyung sleeping and with the atmosphere in the van quieting down, Jake and Sunoo were out cold soon too.
Sadly, Heeseung didn’t stay asleep for long, despite the others’ best efforts to let him rest. The low rumble of the engine that had been so soothing earlier was now slowly getting on his nerves, while the stuffy interior of the van almost made him feel claustrophobic. It was like there was no oxygen left and no mater how fast he breathed, it could never be enough. Jay turned to Heeseung when he noticed his hyung’s ragged breathing, softly asking the eldest of he was alright. Grimacing, Heeseung requested: “Could we crack a window or something? It’s so stuffy in here.”
Struggling out of his hoodie, Heeseung fanned himself with his hands, face flushed and small beads of sweat forming on his forehead. “Aren’t you sweating?”, he frowned, glancing at Jungwon who had covered himself with his coat, “It’ so freaking hot.” – “Are you sure you’re feeling okay, hyung? It’s not hot and you look really flushed”, the leader hummed, reaching for their cooler to hand Heeseung a cold drink. Rubbing his face, the older muttered: “I don’t know. Might be getting carsick. My stomach feels funny.” – “You didn’t eat anything today”, Jay pointed out, “Maybe it’s hunger. Do you want a protein bar?” Though he really didn’t have an appetite, Heeseung let himself be talked into nibbling a protein bar and also accepted a small bag of crackers from Niki.
Eating turned out to be a bad mistake, making the boy feel sicker by the minute. “How’re you feeling?”, Jay asked after a little while, hoping the snack might have settled Heeseung’s stomach. The eldest shook his head and groaned: “’s getting worse. Feel like ‘m gonna puke.” – “Shit”, the younger cursed, glad that Sunghoon was already talking to the driver to ask him to pull over as soon as possible while Jake rummaged through his backpack in search of a plastic bag, “Hang in there, hyung.” Niki comfortingly rubbed Heeseung’s back, which helped the older stay calm enough to take slow, controlled breaths to at least and ward off the nausea for the time being. Not much later, Jake pressed the bag into Heeseung’s hand but they were already pulling onto a parking bay, so the eldest unbuckled his seatbelt while the car was still moving and threw open the door the second they came to a halt.
Heeseung staggered away from the car, shoving the bag into his pocket before doubling over. Bracing himself against the guardrail, he gagged over the grass and felt his stomach lurch but only a small, watery trickle came up. Jay walked up next to him and gave him a few gentle pats on the back, a little surprised when his hyung pitched forward a large wave splattering onto the grass. Another hand appeared on Heeseung’s shoulder, giving it a light squeeze as the eldest kept retching. “You’re okay, hyung”, Jake hummed softly, steadying Heeseung when the older swayed forward and almost toppled over the guardrail. Taking in large gulps of air, Heeseung rasped: “Gosh, I knew my stomach was upset but I didn’t expect it to be this angry.” He gagged unproductively again before spitting onto the grass and straightening back up. For a short moment, Heeseung lost his balance, stumbling into Jake’s side before composing himself and walking back to the car with his friends close by his side.
“Have some water, hyung”, Jungwon encouraged, handing the older his water bottle. Still queasy, Heeseung didn’t dare have a drink yet but he rinsed his mouth and gladly accepted the mint Sunoo offered him. His hands still trembled when he handed the water back and rubbed at his face. Though Heeseung didn’t feel as nauseous anymore, his stomach was still cramping and his head had started to pound when he threw up, the headache lingering now and gosh, he was so tired despite his little nap earlier. Since it was only a small parking bay, they couldn’t really take a longer break there for Heeseung to catch his breath and calm down, so they found themselves back on the road sooner than any of the would’ve liked. They had switched seats though, Jay and Jake sitting on either of Heeseung’s sides. The eldest had retrieved the plastic bag from his pocket and held onto it tightly as he closed his eyes and rested his head on Jake’s shoulder.
Groaning softly, Heeseung squeezed his eyes shut, body tense in his seat. “What are you feeling, hyung?”, Jake whispered, desperate to ease the other’s suffering. Swallowing thickly, the eldest breathed: “My stomach’s turning and my head hurts.” – “Do you feel like you need to be sick again?”, the Aussie asked, glancing at the bag in his friend’s hands. Heeseung weakly shook his head and slurred: “Jus’ wanna sleep.” Though surprised by how drained their hyung seemed, the members were glad that he fell asleep almost immediately. Hopefully he’d be able to sleep through most of the remaining drive and thereby avoid his carsickness.
They only had another hour to go when Heeseung woke up from his nap, beads of sweat running down his temples. Before anyone had even noticed him being awake, the crinkle of the plastic bag caught Jake’s attention. A moment later, Heeseung sleepily lifted his head from the Aussie’s shoulder and brought the bag up to his ashy pale lips, gagging hard. “Oh dear”, Jake sighed, rubbing the other’s back while Jungwon and Sunoo cracked the windows, “You’ve never gotten this carsick before, hyung. What’s up with you today?” The only reply was a hoarse whimper after a gush of stomach acid made the bag grow heavier in Heeseung’s hands. Patting his hyung’s knee, Jay informed: “There’s a gas station just a few kilometers away. We’ll take a break there. Maybe being on solid, unmoving ground and getting some fresh air will calm your stomach down.
Heeseung felt weak when Jay got out of the van and helped him climb out as well. Swaying on his feet, the eldest leant back against the van and drew a shuddering breath. Somebody took the plastic bag from him but he didn’t find the strength to look up. “Hyung, there are a few benches over there”, Sunghoon hummed, taking the other’s arm, “Do you wanna lay down for a bit? You look about ready to fall over.” Giving a slow nod, Heeseung let the younger guide him to a bench and flopped down on his back. He covered his face with his arm and took a few slow breaths to ease the churning in his stomach. His head ached so badly it was hard to grasp a clear thought. Slipping his hand under his shirt, Heeseung palmed at his tense abs and tried to soothe the cramps but it was to no avail.
Feeling his stomach clench, Heeseung rolled onto his side and gagged weakly. His mouth watered and he didn’t have the energy to swallow or spit it out, so he just let the saliva drip onto the pavement next to him. Sunghoon worriedly brushed the hair out of Heeseung’s face while making eye contact with Jay, who made his way over to them. Jay’s steady hand ran up and down his back while Heeseung gagged uselessly. His throat was already raw but Heeseung doubted his stomach would calm down unless he managed to empty it completely. Remembering how Jay had made him throw up so hard earlier, the eldest sniffled: “Cou-could you pat my- my back again?” – “I think you’re empty, hyung”, Jay frowned, his hand stilling on the other’s back, “Maybe you should try to take a few deep breaths instead.” – “Jay, please”, Heeseung whimpered, tears of desperation dripping from his lashes.
Jay couldn’t stand to see his hyung suffer any longer and hesitantly delivered a few firm pats between the other’s shoulder blades. Heeseung retched hard and finally brought up a small wave of bile, barely hearing Sunghoon’s voice over the ringing in his ears. The younger had made a discovery when brushing Heeseung’s hair out of his face and advised Jay to feel their hyung’s forehead. While Heeseung slowly caught his breath, Jay’s palm gently cupped his forehead and then his cheek. Clicking his tongue, Jay muttered: “I don’t think you’re carsick, hyung. You’re burning up and you’ve felt overly hot in the car earlier. This looks more like a stomach bug to me.”
Wiping his lips with the back of his hand, Heeseung turned onto his back and rasped: “A fever would explain why my head hurts so badly.” – “Why didn’t you say anything, hyung?”, Jay frowned, helping the older sit up when Niki approached them with water and tissues. “I wasn’t sure”, Heeseung admitted, “And I didn’t want to ruin this trip for you guys.” – “Hyung, it’s not your fault that you’re sick”, the maknae sighed, wetting a tissue to clean the other’s hand and lips, “And you didn’t ruin anything for anyone. We’re on a two week break, more than enough time for you to recover and still have a fun vacation. Do you feel like you could stomach some water?” Heeseung weakly shook his head but accepted the bottle to rinse his mouth.
“We bought antacids and pretzels”, Sunoo smiled, holding up a small plastic bag from the gas station. Rummaging through his backpack, Jungwon mumbled: “I have painkillers if you want to take something for the headache and to bring your fever down. You should probably eat some of the pretzels first.” – “Thanks”, Heeseung rasped tiredly, “I don’t think I could keep it down right now but I might try in a few minutes.” Jake had pulled a towel from his luggage and held it out to Niki, so the maknae could pour some of the water onto it. Gently draping the cold cloth across his hyung’s neck, Jake hummed: “We only have another hour to go, so we’re not really in a rush. You can take your time to catch your breath. Take as long as you need and let us know when you feel ready to continue or for some medicine.”
They got Heeseung laying down on the bench, elevating his legs on Sunoo’s lap when his blood pressure dropped, leaving him lightheaded. “When we get to the vacation rental, he can lie on the couch and we’ll unload the car and set his room up first”, Jay laid out his plan, “I don’t like how high his fever is and that he’s still so nauseous despite being empty.” – “I searched up the hospitals in the area around the rental”, Jake hummed, holding up his phone, “I got the address in case we need to take him to urgent care.” – “That’s a good thing to keep at the back of our minds but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that”, Jay agreed but tried to keep the group calm, despite his own worries. If Heeseung wouldn’t manage to at least keep some water down soon, a trip to urgent care wouldn’t be all that unlikely.
Not wanting to keep the group stuck at all gas station when they could be at their vacation apartment instead, Heeseung eventually nibbled a few pretzels before getting medicated and asking his friends to help him back to the car, so they could continue. Did he feel ready to? Absolutely not. It couldn’t be helped though if they wanted to get to their destination. Swaying on his feet, Heeseung clung to Jake and Niki, afraid he’d trip himself while his balance was so off. “You got more bags? Pretzels aren’t sittin’ so well”, the eldest slurred, head dropping onto his chest. Easing his hyung into his seat, Sunoo hummed: “We grabbed a bunch from the gas station. Don’t worry, hyung, we’re prepared.”
Heeseung pretty much melted into his seat, too weak to keep himself upright. Jake carefully buckled the eldest in and made sure he was set up with a plastic bag in his hand. They could only hope they’d make it to their destination without anymore incidents but chances were slim. Grabbing the damp towel, Jake dabbed at Heeseung’s burning forehead before folding it and draping it across the back of his hyung’s neck. The older was still so awfully feverish, his eyes glazed over and out of focus. He groaned lowly when the van started to move again, making his stomach drop.
The mood had been so lighthearted and excited when the had first departed on their trip but now a tense silence hung over the group, all of them hoping their eldest hyung would just sleep through the rest of the drive, so nobody dared making a sound for the fear of waking him. Heeseung wasn’t asleep though, merely drifting in his feverish haze only half grasping the situation. His stomach still rolled, throat sore from how much he had been throwing up. A wet burp slipped from his lips, head dipping forward as he clumsily fiddled with the bag, hands trembling too badly to obey him. “I got you”, Jake promised, plastic bag crinkling as he took it from the older and held it under his chin. Shuddering, Heeseung gasped for air before he pitched forward again. He coughed hard when bits of the pretzels got stuck in his throat, stomach already lurching again.
Lowering the bag when it didn’t seem like Heeseung would be able to bring anything else up, Jake muttered in English: “There goes the medicine.” The eldest was too out of it to understand but Jay did, nodding in acknowledgement. He knew their situation was serious but he really hoped they wouldn’t have to drag their exhausted hyung to urgent care. They were lucky though, finally pulling into the driveway of their vacation rental after a drive that had felt like forever to the members. Jake got out of the van and disposed of the sickbag, while Jay and Niki helped Heeseung out of the van. Niki caught his hyung around the waist when the older tripped himself, still swaying when he was supported by two of his dongsaengs.
As soon as they made it inside and kicked off their shoes, they deposited Heeseung on the couch and unloaded the van, leaving their luggage in the hallway and only unpacking the most essential items. “Hyung, your room is ready and we put a trash can next to the bed”, Jungwon informed quietly, “Is there anything else we can do?” Gently sitting Heeseung up, Jay requested: “Could you cook some rice? I’ll make some jook later and it’d save me a lot of time if there’s some cooked rice prepared.” The leader nodded, already heading to the kitchen.
Slinging Heeseung’s arm across his shoulders, Jay pulled his swaying hyung up from the couch and down the hallway to his room. The older was incredibly grateful to finally be on solid ground for good and tiredly flopped down on his bed. “The trash can is right next to you”, Jay hummed as he helped the other sort out his blanket to properly cover him, “I’ll grab you a drink and a cold cloth for your forehead. We gotta try to bring that fever down if we can’t give you fever reducers.” – “Thank you”, Heeseung rasped, draping his arm over his eyes. He felt guilty about ruining the groups vacation but Niki’s did have a point. It was a two week vacation and he should hopefully be better within a couple of days.
By the time Jay returned and draped a cold cloth over Heeseung’s forehead, the eldest was already deeply asleep and the other members settling in and unpacking their luggage. A heavy weight lifted off their chests now that they had finally arrived and knew their hyung was getting the rest he needed.

Omg I saw the obscure friends-to-lovers prompts and #3 is absolutely meant for Steve. He’s always getting hurt and you’re always the worrier and then suddenly you’re sick and he has no idea what to do because his parents never took care of him
yesss omg I am always here for anything that taps into Steve's childhood issues ahfkhsh <33333
-
First, it was chicken pox at eleven. Despite having it as a kid, his mom wanted nothing to do with a scratching, whining boy, and his dad used work as an easy excuse. So, it fell to you, the next door neighbor who wasn’t much older than Steve, but had already gotten sick years ago and couldn't get sick again.
Then, strep throat at twelve, which you didn’t catch from him, either. The flu at thirteen, and a nasty cold at fourteen, and so on and so forth. Always Steve in the sickbed and always you tending to him with an ease he was jealous of.
For someone who walked around the world like a burden, to Steve’s surprise, he didn’t feel that way when you force fed him chicken noodle soup and laid damp cloths on his forehead.
And also to his surprise, you never faltered. Never seemed scared or overwhelmed, even when you were too young to be playing nurse.
One would think that after years of being taken care of, some of that caretaking would have rubbed off on Steve.
It didn’t. And now, you’re the one in bed, with a scarily high fever, your skin gleaming with sweat and your limbs trembling.
Give him a monster to kill, and he’s good to go. But this isn’t his territory. This isn’t his territory, and he’s trying very hard not to lose his shit, and he’s not doing that well.
“Maybe we should go to the hospital,” he says. He’s going to wear a hole through the carpet after so long pacing over the same spot, but he can’t stop. “Make sure this isn’t something more serious than the flu.”
“It’s the flu,” you say. “I just have to ride it out.”
“Ride it out? Really? That’s your medical opinion? Cuz, I gotta say, I doubt an actual doctor would agree with you on that one—”
“Steve,” you say, voice low and raspy. He pauses in his pacing, frowning. “You’re freaking out. You need to sit down.”
Steve’s frown deepens as he sits on the edge of your bed and immediately pops back up. He’s all nervous energy and twitchy limbs.
“You made it look so easy,” he says. “When we were kids, you handled it like it was nothing. You never looked scared. Never got pissed at me when I puked on your shoes.”
“I wasn’t exactly thrilled about that,” you murmur, eyes half lidded, a tiny smile on your lips. You reach out a hand, and Steve takes it, letting you pull him back down onto the bed.
Your skin is warm and clammy, but Steve just holds on tighter. Your eyes flutter shut.
“Our whole lives, you’ve taken care of me," Steve says. "And you did a damn good job of it. But now, the one time you actually need my help, and I’m—”
Your eyes are all the way open, now. Your brows furrow, and you push yourself half into a seated position against the pillows.
“Stop,” you say. “Just because I didn’t always need you to… I don’t know, fight my battles, for me, doesn’t mean I didn’t need you.” You swallow thickly. “Doesn’t mean I don’t need you now.”
Steve wilts, and he draws your hand against his chest, pressing it to his heart. He’s crossing a dozen invisible lines he’s set for himself over the years, but you’re not stopping him.
“Besides,” you murmur, “I don’t love you for your bedside manner. Which gets a B- at best.”
And it’s hardly the first time you’ve said those words, but in the last few years, love came less and less on either side. For Steve, because it meant more than it used to, and saying it like he would to a friend felt like some kind of betrayal.
This is different. The hesitance in your tone and the quick aversion of your gaze.
“You—” Steve starts.
“Don’t make me repeat it,” you say. “I know you heard me.”
Steve inhales. Holds his breath for a long moment and gathers his courage.
“I did,” he says. “And I love you too.”
You smile, and your eyes flutter shut, but not before you say, “I know.”
A laugh slips out of Steve’s mouth, and he brings your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles, your skin warm. And even though your eyes are shut, he smiles back.

I have had a shitty week. Can someone manifest me some good vibes?
Sunday started nice. Monday was a holiday (Family Day) so I got some extra weekend. I was looking forward to it - then Elder Child crawled into my bed just past midnight with a fever.
Monday she stopped eating after lunch (two bites of banana), but was drinking water.
Stayed home Tuesday to help her combat the fever. Wednesday morning she had no fever so my daycare lady was able to take her and I went to work. She kept me updated etc all day.
My gut didn’t like how much she was sleeping so after work I decided to take Elder Child to the children’s hospital. Convinced my husband to pack me a bag, thinking they’d throw Tylenol at us and we’d sit in the waiting room for 8 hours to be told it’s an ear infection/sinus infection…. But I got home to her and her fever returned. (And my period started. JOY.)
Loaded her into the stroller, threw myself in, and off we went! Waited in line at triage.
Triage called us, we weighed her, we talked. And I said I was concerned because she hadn’t eaten, the fever was back, my sister was diabetic and I was starting to worry because when she was sleeping I couldn’t rouse her easily, and her breath smelled and basically asked them to check her blood sugar.
So they did. (This was NOT an enjoyable experience for Elder Child.) it was at 2 - new to how Canadians measure shit, I’m really glad the little screen added in red: “CRITICAL LOW”.
The nurse made a phone call and stressed, surprised, that Elder Child was alert.
Upon the second attempt at a reading because it was low, Elder Child was more prepared. She kicked, she fought, she puked all over herself, and bolted for the emerge doors.
Ok. Skip a second test. (Note: I did not pack spare clothes.)
We were taken right back to a room in the emergency wing. Unsettling.
Then a flurry of people - a lady trying to help Elder Child adjust and calm down. Nurses. Doctors asking questions. (Another note - I have not slept well in 2 weeks, am hearing impaired, and now overwhelmed and scared. Not a good combo.)
Gave Elder Child a nasal spray to calm her (this resulted in another bolting for freedom, also thwarted), another blood check….and once the spray started to work, we tried to prep her for an IV/blood draw.
This was ALSO strongly disliked. More holding her down. I did a lot of crying.
We went through the symptoms - tummy hurting, drinking some water but hadn’t peed in like 6-7 hours, fever, sleeping constantly, not eating. Ended up doing ultrasound, X-ray. Ten bottles of blood (and she FREAKED). Finally got her to pee. Yes, she peed on me.
Refused food. Refused popsicles. Refused juice. Started IV - first sugar bolus. Then hydration. We named the IV robot Frank. Elder Child, loopy from the spray, patted it and told it it was doing a good job. Also, during our walk to ultrasound, said she was Frank’s pet puppy and he was taking her for a walk, see her leash? 😅
Spent the night. (Another note: my daycare kept her sister until bedtime. And we arranged to take her as soon as she woke up because we cannot trust my husband with her care.) Lots more holding her down and blood checks.
Also please note: Elder Dragoon wails and screams when distressed. She was very distressed. I felt really sorry for the staff because I couldn’t calm her.
In the morning she managed to eat a bit! Yay! Tried to disconnect the iv - sugar went down. Hooked her back up. Spent the day trying to get her to drink 100ml of apple juice.
Ended up discharged at almost 4pm - diagnosis: fever, causing hypoglycemia. Apparently kids don’t have as much stores as adults and the fever was burning through what she DID have.
So I spent today waking her every 4 hours and getting her to eat or drink. It took her an hour to drink half a juice box. But by dinner today she was improved and actually had food. And accepted popsicles.
Still have to get her eating or drinking again in about 20min. Then set the timer back.
I just want a full REM cycle of sleep. I am SO fucking tired.

tw: parental abuse (both established and possible), sickness/fever
Hi, I'm Jay, and I guess I'm looking for a second opinion? I recently remembered an incident from my childhood that I guess I had been repressing for years, and I'm trying to figure out if it was an instance of abuse or pure ignorance on my mother's part.
So recently I had a fever, and when I get fevers I often get flashbacks. I have PTSD from a childhood full of abuse (for context, i'm in uni now) from my mother. It involved a ton of really extreme psychological abuse, emotional, as well as things like forcing me to eat food that made me feel sick, ignore injuries, spanking with a wooden spoon, and other borderline abuse type stuff. So my mom does have an established pattern as my abuser.
When I had my recent fever, I suddenly remembered when I had a fever when I was, maybe 7? Ages are tricky but I'd say 6 or 7 years old. My mom never gave me tylenol or stuff like that for fevers, I remember this because I was much older when I took a pill for the first time, and the only liquid meds she used was like, benadryl. Anyway, I know tylenol is the typical way to treat a fever in a kid, and she didn't do that. She doesn't trust medical advice a lot, and she endangered me with homeopathic "remedies" that could (and might) have seriously damaged me as a kid with several health issues.
So back when I was little, and I had this fever, she made me sit in an ice cold bath and also turned on the shower on ice cold. I remember screaming, crying, I was in so much pain and discomfort and I felt like my body was going to fall into pieces because it was so cold. But she wouldn't stop, and it went on for what felt like forever.
My gut is telling me that it's bad that 1) she didn't look at common fever advice for children, and 2) it's bad that even if she thought the cold shower was okay, she didn't stop when I was terrified and felt like I was going to die from what she was doing.
My brain says that 1) she could have gotten misinformation and not have known better, and 2) she could have been so sure that she was right that no amount of fear on my part would have stopped her from trying to take care of me
But when I remember this I feel all that fear and remember begging her to stop and let me warm up. I don't even remember feeling hot before hand-- of course my memory isn't reliable, but I don't remember being badly sick before then. When I think about this I want to puke and cry, but I feel like I'm overreacting to a well-meaning mother doing something uncomfortable but necessary (or so she thought).
I'm sorry if this is kind of disjointed, and thank you for all that you do. Could you please tag this as Jay? thank you very much
Hi Jay,
I'm sorry to hear about what you've been through. It's important to remember that whether or not your mom meant well is irrelevant because she still abused you. It sounds like it was a combination of ignorance and abuse on her part. Please know that your feelings are valid.
I hope I could help provide some clarity and validation, and we're here if you need anything.

Hirano/ Kagiura Headcannons:
Basically a shitpost list that won’t leave me... If anyone takes these, please tag me so I can read :) Some are long descriptions, some are short- it be like that. Also, I know some of these are already fics- I just like more :) Sorry it’s hella long... a lot of them are for Kagiura idk why probably because he’s the fucking sun…
- Hirano’s on a day trip or school trip and starts panicking when Kagiura (sick or hurt) stops texting him mid-day. He leaves class early or the discipline committee meeting early because he’s concerned.
- Hanzawa (fucking love this guy- slightly worried he’s going to off himself though) walks into the meeting one day and asks Hirano if Kagiura was okay because he saw him get hurt while practicing or he didn’t look well earlier.
- Sasaki getting Ill in the middle of the night and his sister looks after him because his parents don’t really seem that attentive. Might dabble on this… Sasaki being frigid towards her at first as he is in the manga but eventually he accepts the comfort, his sister (forgot her name) just wanting what’s best for her little brother his feelings be damned, remembering how he used to cling to her skirt when he was little but now that he’s a 6ft walking tower of angst, its rare to be able to care for him in such a childish manner… even rarer when he accepts.
- Hirano feeling like shit but helping Kagiura study anyway. Kagi looks up after finishing a problem to find Hirano nodding off, his head leaning against his hand, pencil still trapped between his fingers. The younger is quiet for a while and eventually Hirano rests his head either on his arm on the desk or Kagi’s shoulder. Later when Kagi tried to rouse him, he realizes Hirano has a fever which, after waking, the older brushes off and they go to bed. Kagi wakes up several hours later to Hirano crying out his name, his fever spiking, the older reaching for him for comfort. Basically Hirano gets sicker in the night and Kagi kicks himself because he should have been more forceful with the older boy like Hirano was with him; he should have forced him to take meds or check his temperature or sat with him for a bit to make sure he was actually okay- he should have done what Hirano would have- but anyway, Kagi takes care of Hirano throughout the night (this is his chance to show the older boy the love he receives, his chance to repay him) and Hirano kind of clings to him with a fevered delirium; vomiting, high fever, Hirano being clingy for once not that Kagi minds despite how freaked out he is…
- Hirano, possibly reflecting while caring for Kagi (in my mind Kagi pukes on him and Hirano is instantly caring mode instead of mad because he knows what it’s like to feel so horrible that there isn’t any warning before puking…), that he got really sick last year (16) while visiting his parents over break. He doesn’t remember much but he remembers eating dinner, or at least trying too; trying to convince his mom who asked if he felt well, that he was okay. He end up nodding off, his head leaning against his hand, chopsticks still tucked between fingers; he remembers his dad saying something before pressing his hand against his forehead, a soft curse following. He’s pulled up slightly but he remembers puking everywhere, the table, the floor, himself, and feeling so horrible and weak that he can barely comprehend his surroundings. He remembers his parent stripping him, his mother bathing him, his head leaning against his fathers shoulder, a cold rag on his forehead and the back of his neck… he remembers his mothers soft fingers running through his hair, washing away sweat and vomit, he remembers puking in the bath water and his father holding him up, telling him it’s okay son, just get it up. It’s okay…. Basically I have this new headcannon of Hirano getting really sick while visiting his parents while on break, him not wanting to worry them because they spend so little time together, and Hirano being a complete wreck but his parents are so gentle and kind (like he is with Kagi) and they take care of him…
- Hirano’s carrying a box to the council meeting (maybe with Miyano/ Sasaki) and notices Kagiura sitting on the ground outside, leaning against a bench, his head in his hands. He falters and turns to (M/S) to say he’ll be right back and goes over to see if Kagi is okay... basically Kagi was a dumbass and practiced in the heat and ended up with heat exhaustion. (I’m currently writing this): Small snippet/ ideas below: Hirano set his alarm for one hour. He had one hour to try and cool the younger boy off, for him to start sweating more, to regain the fluids he’d just puked up outside in the bushes- otherwise, the 17-year-old was calling for an ambulance.... Hirano hadn’t grown up in a big family like Kagiura… but he and his family were close. Nothing was ever embarrassing between them, even his parent’s public displays of affection never bothered him much as a child… Touching, hugging, comforting someone was always like a second nature to him. His parents had never chastised him, or embarrassed him, or left his side when he was hurt or sick or had nightmares; and they were always open with him, made sure they talked about and took into account his feelings, even from an early age… He was fond of him, that much was true… but he was also fond of his father, or his grandmother, or his friends. So the fondness he felt didn’t mean much; didn’t help deciphering the feelings the younger shared for him… didn’t make his situation any less confusing...
- Kagiura wakes up with a high fever; Hirano misses school to take care of him. Basically, Kagi gets worse throughout the day- Hirano keeps Hanzawa posted because the other boy keeps checking to see if the nurse is available but she isn’t.... “Hi-ra?” The cry startled Hirano as he glanced up from his book, biting his bottom lip. He scooted towards the edge of the bed, placing his book on the nightstand, glancing towards his alarm clock. Hanzawa should be texting him soon to let him know if the nurse was still out.... otherwise, him and Hanzawa would need to take Kagi to A&E. His fever hadn’t spiked but now he was having trouble keeping things down beginning with the several spoonfuls of rice porridge Hirano had fed him earlier so he could give the younger boy more meds... “Hi...ra...” The whimper reached the 17-year-old’s ears, and he shot up, rushing towards Kagiura’s bed, dropping to his knees with a loud smack. He swallowed quickly, his fingers brushing the younger’s hair away from his face, his fingers connecting with the alarming heat present against dry flesh.... The younger boy reached a hand out blindly, and Hirano caught it, intertwining his fingers in the younger’s, his other hand carding through his sweaty hair.... idk y’all... Hirano lets Kagiura cling against him in hopes the younger boy would feel a little better--- maybe a bath? Idk man idk
- Kagiura gets hurt during practice or a game and tries to play it off. Hirano tries to help put he doesn’t want to be pushy... basically Kagi either accepts the help or, trying to establish himself from Hirano, still tries to convey he’s fine until he isn’t.
- Kagiura gets a concussion during practice or a game.
- Kagiura or Hirano or Sasaki feeling faint (for whatever reason, maybe fighting an illness or headache or medical thing or whatever), and their nose starts bleeding, and they quickly tell whoever they’re around to “...go get Hirano/ Kagiura/ Miyano (their significant other)” before passing out.
- Kagiura stress eats (book) so like if he get stressed and ends up nauseous and with a stomachache.
- Kagiura gets into a fight during a game (the opposing player started it)... or he gets into a fight during school which Hirano breaks up. Bonus points if Hirano freaks (like Kagi is seriously hurt or out) and Sasaki has to pull Hirano off the “bully.”
- Kagiura goes down during a game- dealer’s choice; Hirano freaks. Or Kagi vomits during a game.
- Kagiura gets sick in the middle of the night. Hirano wakes up to the unpleasant sounds of retching...
- Miyano or Sasaki crashing/ interrupting a council meeting because something’s wrong with Kagi (either Miyano stayed with the younger boy because he’s more gentle than Sasaki or Sasaki stayed because if Kagiura needed to go somewhere or if he stood up and then dropped, Sasaki would be the only one able to hold up the 6′2″ teenager). Kagiura’s sick but he tried so damn hard to hide it because it’s not Hirano’s job to care for him, and it just makes his rejection harder, and...
- Sasaki dragging a drunk Hirano back to the dorms one night (keep in mind, Hirano can supposedly hold his alcohol so like did he drink a fucking bar?). Hirano’s not great with processing his feelings, or Kagi’s feelings... or whatever. Kagiura is amused but takes care of him because he’s never seen his roommate be an idiot before.
- Sasaki getting drunk one night and acting like an idiot with Ogasawara and Hirano. Bonus points if Miyano shows up randomly, like he ran into Hirano and Sasaki trying to find their way back home or something- Ogasawara’s GF picked him up (I’m tiny writing this- its a flashback in my other fic) :)
- Hirano comes back to the dorms one night, bloodied and bruised... he got into a fight (dealer’s choice).
- Kagiura knew something was wrong when Hirano didn’t wake him up... Hirano sick.
- Hirano waking up one morning to wake up Kagi to find the teenager’s bed empty, the bathroom light on (pretty sure they share a floor bathroom like in university but for the sake of the fic, they have their own); he waits a few minutes before knocking... he waits a little longer after hearing no answer to see if it was okay to come in... basically, Kagi’s sick.
- Kagiura’s muscles hurt after a strenuous practice or game; he’s having a hard time doing simple tasks and it’s stupid and frustrating and he doesn’t want to tell Hirano but he really wants to shower because he smells like sweat but he can’t get his stupid shirt over his head. Bonus points if he has several bruises or swollen muscles in his wrist or something from the rigorous physical activity. Kagi’s a dedicated player who can work through pain.
- Kagiura gets a really bad migraine one evening after practice, and he really wants Hirano to leave him be or to shut the light off or stop tapping his pencil because the sound is going to kill him. His nose starts bleeding because that’s a thing that sometimes just happens....
- Hirano gets headache from staring at his phone all day (Sasaki says it was bound to happen). He stops texting Kagiura halfway through the day because he can’t take it and all he wants to do is get through the remaining classes (he doesn’t make it- probably heads to the nurse or just heads back to the dorms), and Kagiura shows up (either to his class, the nurse or the dorms) to check on him.
- Hirano doesn’t go to one of Kagiura’s games despite going to pretty much everyone, and Kagiura thinks about it the whole time... possibly getting hurt because he’s distracted. He goes back to the dorms (Hirano is either exhausted, hurt or sick).
- Kagiura pushing through a practice or game before coming back to the dorms and getting sick. Hirano scolds him for being stupid; but Kagiura didn’t want to let his teammates down.
- Sasaki getting motion sickness on the train one morning (perhaps they are going to a BL thing) with Miyano, and Miyano caring. Sasaki knows its lame and gross and he’s sorry because this is stupid... but sometimes the meds don’t work, and why is the convention/ thing so far away?
- Miyano eating something super sweet either because Sasaki made it or it was a special event (Sasaki’s sister’s wedding, graduation, etc) and it makes him sick; he can’t tolerate sweet stuff well...
- Hirano getting sick one day and pushing through it. Kagi pulls him aside while practicing to “interrogate” him; Hirano ends up passing out or worse and Kagi walks or carries him to the nurse.
- When Miyano asked Hirano if he had a good weekend, he wasn’t expecting this response: “Yeah, I guess. My roommate got sick Friday after practice so I basically spent all of Saturday taking care of him...” Miyano’s BL fantasies go wild and Sasaki asks if Kagiura was okay. Hirano looks up from his phone, pausing, “Yeah, he’s better now. I told him I’d kick his ass if i saw him or heard he was at school today... scared the shit out of me though. Especially when me and Hanzawa had to take him to A&E Saturday night because the damn kid couldn’t keep anything down and his fever spiked...”
- Sasaki eating something spicy or drink a hot beverage (not wanting to be rude, maybe a meet the parent’s type of situation which would be embarrassing, or he just doesn’t want to offend someone like Miyano or something) and it doesn’t not abode well for him because his stomach hurts... maybe Miyano knows something’s wrong but doesn’t think too much of it until he sees Sasaki home...
- Sasaki and Miyano know each other well enough to know when something’s wrong.
- Hirano and Kagiura know each other well enough to know when something's wrong.
- Sasaki has a nightmare and his sister comforts him for once.
- Hirano trades food with Kagiura like he does most nights because the younger doesn’t like what he got (don’t know if anyone noticed in vol. 1 of HtK, Hirano orders something he knew Kagiura liked just for this reason), and either he or Kagi end up with food poisoning which makes the other feel bad because of the trade...
- Hirano has a panic attack or anxiety attack from being stressed about grades and next year, etc. Kagiura helps.
- Kagiura has an anxiety or panic attack about the upcoming game because he’s exhausted and overworked but this is the last game of the season and if he can’t do well, like he feels about the previous game, he’s worried about his future on the team. Hirano helps and reminds him that he’s a great player despite not feeling like it...
- Kagiura, Hirano, Miyano, or Sasaki during a depressive episode.
- Kagiura, Hirano, Miyano, or Sasaki running themselves into the ground from exhaustion and stress from exams.
- Sasaki has allergies and they really fucking suck.
- Hirano being overworked and stressed and freaking out over something so small. Or fighting a migraine because he needs to study (despite having really good grades)... Kagiura puts him to bed.
Okay, don’t come at me because of this because this is normally not something I think about but for some reason...
- Sasaki having something where his muscles clench up (like a seizure; hospital not usually required) for several minutes (it takes a while for his body to regain control over his muscles again, starting with his fingers twitching or his legs spazzing or something, and he’s exhausted/ dehydrated after because it’s like working out non-stop before collapsing- his body uses a huge source of energy to fight against him), and he can’t move and it’s painful and like it’s rare, but it happens when he’s really exhausted or stressed... it only happened twice in high school (in front of other people besides his family), (stems from childhood like an actual medical condition), once in class (he fell from his seat) which freaked everyone out; another time with Miyano/ Hirano (who by now knew what to do)... and now... It started with his hands... His head resting against Miyano’s thigh, his eyelids growing heavy as the BL anime in front of him slowly begins to drift away, Miyano’s fingers carding through his hair slowly. God, he was so fucking tired. Between exams and helping his family in the bakery more, it was nice to have quiet moments like this with his boyfriend. He was almost asleep when he felt it; the sharp pain flicked against his fingers, and he made a small noise as Miyano’s fingers paused momentarily. But the pain was gone as soon as it started... his mind drifting again, the hushed voices of the television fading. His leg tensed, pain eating up his calf, and he whimpered, clenching his eyes tightly as the muscles in his arms tightened. Miyano’s fingers moved to his arm, trying to rub away the inevitable as his soft voice reached Sasaki’s ears. The older yelped again as his body curled in on himself, the muscles in his back, arms and legs ridging, clenching tightly...
- Or Kagiura has the same thing as described above; Hirano’s been through this before with him, so he doesn’t panic much when the younger whimpers in his sleep, pulling the older from his studies. Hirano glances up, an eyebrow raised as Kagiura yelps again, and the older cusses as he throws his textbook aside...
- Or Kagiura has one of these during a game or practice and someone runs to get Hirano, either because Kagi told them to right before he went down (you can feel it coming or he gets a nosebleed or something) or because they figured his roommate would know what was happening or what to do.
Like I said, usually not my forte so idk what my mind is currently tapped on... but don’t come after me...
Idk, I’ll add more if I think of more but feel free to add more or take, just tag because I love reading :)

Three diverted stars
Synopsis: In the best ending way, or at least how I wanted everything to end with these three kids, they may share Dio's blood but also Jonathan's.
This takes place in the reality after Eyes of Heaven and all the other pieces in that reality are connected to this one.
Warnings: Swearing (a lot), early parenthood (reader is not the really related to them but cares for them), parenthood grievance, mention of drugs and getting high, brotherhood and all what comes with it.
.
It took you surprise, you weren't gonna lie about it, when you crossed paths with a little and sick kid in the streets with a high fever that made you remember of yourself, at the moment of arrival to the nearest hospital and when the paramedics took out his shirt full of sweat you almost fainted when you noticed a star shaped birthmark near his shoulder.
It didn't have any sense.
But when you read the red book again and after 34 hours you found some interesting things, just like the fact that Dio had four kids somewhere.
You felt disgusted to some point, almost puking on the red book that just closed itself, you didn't even know why it had that information but you took it and decided to do the better that you could.
The first one that you found was that little kid, he was obviously a Joestar, no family was present and no one presented to see the kid even when he was there for almost a week, he was sick in a similar way that you were when you had his age, he was a Joestar, it was almost certain that he would have a Stand at some point, so when child service appeared you were there and showed your interest.
"You are too young" the woman in charge of the case told you, "this is a kid, a human being, not a toy, how old are you?" Her worry and harsh words were understandable, especially because of your whole appearance, full of scars, the usual black clothes of your family and, unbeknown to you, the glare of a soldier.
But what would happen to the kid if you didn't help him now?
You arrived to the SWF months later with the same kid attached to your hand, walking alongside you after he stopped altogether.
"What's the matter, Rikiel?" He looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"I'm tired" he started to sob and you almost got anxious, what were you exactly doing with such a young kid? "I'm sorry"
"No, no, it's totally fine" it was almost a common thing now to just have him in your arms to this point.
SWF's doctors never diagnosed him with ease, each day it would be a different thing.
And then you found the second one, Ungalo, who almost tried to kill you on the spot with his little knife in hand even when it was impossible for him, you looked around and found the woman who you supposed was his mother using drugs, totally out of this world, so you got along with the same procedure to finally have him secure in the SWF.
He also tried to bully Rikiel since the first moment that you put the two together, Ungalo had a colorful set of words at his disposal.
"You are just a little bitch"
"Don't call me like that!"
"Ungalo!"
"What?"
Rikiel would cry often because of his half brother and you were starting to ask yourself if you did good taking this two kids, if it would be good if you also found the other two.
"Maybe you are pushing yourself too hard" Polnareff told you once, he could help you but he was on his own trying to find the other Stand arrows around the world, so he told you to contact Jotaro, but you didn't want to, not only because he crushed your heart but also because he was now a father at had almost no time to be with his baby, with the searching of the arrows and his own career.
"I just, I can do it" famous last words, your exhausted eyes twitched when you heard the cries near.
"Why are you crying now?!" And then the harsh voice of the other kid.
"Why are you so bad with me, Ungalo?!"
"Stop your bitch crying!"
Polnareff looked at the kids and then he put his hand on your shoulder, trying to give you his best wishes, those were obviously Dio's spawns.
It took you longer, but you finally found the last kid.
But you found him on a correctional, with physiological and physical damage, his hand had a wound that was infested by fly's larvae and purulence.
Donatello was, by far, the one that was worse of them all the moment that you found him.
"We will try to save his hand, but he is in such a terrible state" one of the doctors told you, the rage made you take him away from his irresponsible mother and stepfather, being more desperate the more the procedure extended, maybe you were being ruthless but you wanted the kid in a safe place as fast as possible.
Even with everything against him, he did it, only with a scar on his hand and some extra days to recuperate.
When you put him near the other two, well...
"Wow, just when I thought that Rikiel looked like a girl the most"
"Don't be rude, Ungalo!"
"Are we really related?" Donatello asked you but you were more concentrated in having your face behind your hands, mumbling about being an incompetent parental figure.
You never found the fourth, Jotaro was the one that did it years later, the last kid was on Italy and he told you that he was going to take care of it.
Years later you still believed that you were a bad parent, it made you feel uneasy, specially when you noticed that you would have your own, at least the boys were kids when you found them, now you would have a literal baby.
Donatello was the oldest by three years, Rikiel and Ungalo had the same age, and everyone in the SWF would say that, against all odds, they turned out to be good young men, they would be against one another in occasions but they at least formed some kind of brotherhood and shared ideas.
For example: they never understood what you saw in Rohan.
"I mean, maybe he is a good person deep down" Rikiel, always kind and sweet, tried to understand your reasoning, Donatello and Ungalo looked at him the same bored expression, like asking seriously? "I mean, very deep down?"
They also never understood why you would help Jotaro, they got wind of your previous romance with him (it was Polnareff's fault), which only confused them more.
But they tried to help you as they could.
"Why are you leaving me with Mister Dolphin's brat?" Jolyne was 7 then, Ungalo was already 10 years old and wasn't exactly the most adequate to look after a kid.
"Because she finds your ugly face funny" Donatello was merciless like always.
"I dare you to repeat that you-!"
"Not in front of Jolyne!" As always Rikiel tried to be the pacifist in the matter, only to almost faint due to his strange illness.
When you had Rei they didn't even knew how to react.
"Again, someone remind me, why this man?" Ungalo, just with 11 years old, asked, pointing without a care to Rohan that was drawing some panels of the hospital for his manga.
"Don't be so rude" Rikiel, of the same age, was holding Rei, he was on a chair in case he fainted again.
"No, no, he has a point" Donatello would, at least, give the right to his younger brother in this matter.
"Maybe some of your shitty luck smeared on them, Donnie" of course, Ungalo would never let an opportunity to cause commotion slide so easily.
"You damn freak"
"You guys..." And you would try to be angry only to fail at seeing how far they had come.
When Donatello reached 21 he finally got his Stand, it took by surprise because you didn't believe that after so long he could have it, but low and below Under World was finally visible... It also destroyed the SWF's base in California while the brothers were trying to visit Jolyne, it was a miracle that no one ended death after an entire plane that appeared out of nowhere just crashed on earth again many years later.
"You weird hair... I swear, your damn luck will get us killed one day!" Ungalo shouted while he got both of his unconscious brothers out of the debris that was left.
Then it was Ungalo's turn when he was visiting you later that year, telling a bed time story to Julius, only to put the baby in his crib and hearing something weird on the closet.
He thought that he was high when he noticed a little kid with a red hood on her, only to then found a wolf like person near Julius' crib, mouth wide open, Bohemian Rhapsody was a strange Stand and when you returned home with Rohan you found Ungalo guarded against the demonized wolf, that ate the little red hood, with the kids on a room.
"Could you try the same with my characters, kid?"
"Our kids almost got eaten, Rohan!"
"But he can try!"
Rikiel was the last one, and some really thought that he would never have one after so long while others wished that he never did because with the other brothers it was obvious that if there was a possibility that he manifested one then it would be some crazy shit.
And crazy shit it was.
"Why is everyone on the floor? Am I the only one that is feeling good now?!" He just found out that finally, after so many years, he didn't feel pain anywhere, just to then find his brothers on the floor due to extreme hypothermia.
"What in hell have you done, you cow?!"
"I mean, I don't know?"
"Whatever you are doing just stop it now!"
Apparently some cryptic creature really existed and Rikiel had the control over them using Sky High.
"How come that three out of three have such powerful Stands?" You asked out loud, looking at the boys making fun of one another like the brothers that they were.
"You did good" now Jotaro approached you, taking a seat near you, "with their origins, they could have been death by now, or worst" his words really made you think about it, hard, and maybe he was right.
And in reality, it all started because you left Japan earlier than expected due to your broken heart, it ended with you crossing paths with Rikiel and now you were there, looking at all of them, Jolyne said some kind of joke that got everyone laughing, Rei and Julius near their anikis who were just waiting like you.
That day they would finally meet their older brother, the one that was left, the only one that you couldn't find.
"Giorno is a good boy for what I know" you heard your cousin talking about him, but in reality you never meet him.
"He is, I already meet him, somehow he turned out more Joestar than Brando" you looked at Jotaro, to his scar along his face and his scarred eye.
"I just... I just want them to get along" you touched the scar on you neck that goes all the way to your bellybutton, it made you remember that you almost died that day, what could have been of your kids? To all of them?
"And they will" wow, since when did Jotaro had that calming tone on his voice? apparently spending more time with Jolyne after all the prison incident was something good.
So you just looked at the boys and smiled when even the so proud Donatello was nervous at the arrival of the blond guy, that you guessed was Giorno, that hold hands with your cousin.
They were so stiff, especially Giorno when he noticed that he was an outsider among his brothers, they were just looking one another in an awkward silence.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, older brother" surprisingly Rikiel was the first to talk, leading the others to open up to Giorno.
Jotaro noticed your smile, one that reached your eyes, and he smiled with you at the kids interaction.

I loved that last Daderick and Rooster fic❤️❤️
If you're still taking requests I think these 2 from the whump list would work so well for Mav and a sick Baby Goose who's struggling through the day on base coughing sniffling and feverish. Maybe Penny makes an appearance too.
- his hands are shaking and he accidentally meets someone’s eyes who’s seen it happen so he shoves his hands into his pockets or armpits and stalks off
- especially a normally diligent/stoic character - falling asleep on the job or somewhere he shouldn’t, even if it’s just for a moment, and he’s startled awake by someone/something and there’s just that moment of being lost in his eyes as he tries to figure out where he is and what’s happened
Hey! Thanks for your patience, I'm working through these now so I can focus on long-term fics. Hang tight, here we goooooo!
Side note: this took a turn and I’m not mad about it? Like it’s a little all over the place but... same. Lmao.

I think we all have questions about this.
-
Every problem has a solution. Every illness has some kind of relief (seen the new last of us series? There's an exception to that rule). There's always the opportunity to back out, to say no.
Rooster really wished he'd done just that earlier, when he had the opportunity. It looked him right in the eye, asked him if he felt okay to go to work. And he'd said yes.
Y'know, like a liar.
-
It started around lunchtime, when nothing sounded appetising. Not even the mystery meat (to be fair, that never sounded appetising). Maverick was on his left, Phoenix on his right as they worked through the lunch line, and when they got to the end Maverick and Phoenix had exchanged a look.
"Are you planning to come back for the rest of it, Roos?" Phoenix asked, shoulder to shoulder with Rooster as she placed another heaping of salad on his plate. Maverick also handed him another bread roll. Speaking of rolls, Rooster rolled his eyes when he realised what they were doing.
"Mav, Tash, I'm fine. It's fine, I'm okay. Just had a big breakfast."
"Did you? I don't remember us having a big breakfast," Maverick replied casually, thanking the staff at the end of the line. The three of them walked through the rows of tables, finding their usual place taken so they did another lap. Luckily a table toward the back was available. While Maverick and Phoenix talked about their planned training routines for the rest of the week, Rooster took the moment to zone out and try to collect his thoughts. He sneezed into the crook of his elbow, short and sharp, and Phoenix glanced at him in surprise.
"Bless you," she said, turning to her conversation with Maverick. Rooster picked at his lunch a little longer, but every bite of salad turned his stomach and eventually he pushed his plate away.
"I eat any more of that, I will puke," he said when Phoenix and Maverick both glanced at him.
"Are you going to... now?" Maverick asked tentatively, already moving as though he was going to get up.
"What? No. It's just not sitting."
"Mmhmm. Wipe your nose, you got snot."
Maverick passed over a napkin and Rooster reluctantly blew his nose, waiting for the headache to subside before he opened his eyes again. His nose twitched, threatening another sneeze, and he buried against the crook of his elbow to stifle it. Straight after sneezing he coughed, and admitted defeat as he rested his head on the table. Phoenix put a hand on his back, sighing as she rubbed in gentle circles.
"Should you be at home?" She asked, Maverick already getting up to be on his other side.
"Have you got a fever?" He asked, hand on Rooster's arm. He shook his head.
"Just... sneezed. It's fine."
"Mmhmm. The more you say that the less I'm convinced. I think you're getting sick, Roo."
"Probably. Can you keep doing that, Tash? Feels nice."
Maverick and Phoenix exchanged knowing looks behind Rooster's back, Phoenix going back to rubbing his back. Maverick fumbled in his pocket, frowning.
"It's Penny; I better get it. Roos, Tash, are you two going to be okay while I-"
"-all good, Mav, I'm watching," Phoenix said, eyes on her friend when he groaned and tensed a little. Maverick put a hand to Bradley's forehead, before answering the call.
"Hey, Pen; what's up? Oh, yeah, not a problem. I can let you in, hang tight."
-
Maverick spoke quickly with the guard on the base and he swiped Penny’s car through, Penny pulling into the park next to Bradley’s Bronco. She and Maverick quickly kissed, Maverick running a hand down her back.
“So Cyclone called you? Out of the blue? Did he say why?”
Penny smiled, leaning against her partner’s side.
“He didn’t, but this has happened before. Nine times out of ten it’s about CCTV footage for an in-house investigation or it’s about the ball for the TOPGUN graduates. I host some of it at the bar.”
“Some of it?” Maverick teased, nudging her side. She laughed.
“By the time they get to the bar to celebrate, I’m throwing most of them out for being too drunk. They spend nearly their entire ball out on the beach, being drunk and doing things that would make Cyclone blush.”
“I don’t think that man knows how to blush.”
The pair walked into the main office building on base, Maverick leading the way to Cyclone’s office.
“You said Bradley was acting off?” Penny asked as they navigated the hallways.
“He’s sick. Nauseous, fever, the lot-”
“-Captain Mitchell, Ms Benjamin. Maverick, Lieutenant Bradshaw is looking for you. Ms Benjamin, please come with me.”
Cyclone appeared from nowhere and the conversation was cut short. Maverick shrugged at Penny.
“That’s my cue; better go and see if he’s okay. Where was he, sir?”
“On his way to the bathroom. He was making a rather quick exit, but he saluted so I won’t tell him off for it now.”
Maverick’s eyebrows raised.
“Okay, I’ll go and check on him. If he’s unwell, can he go home?”
Cyclone shifted a little awkwardly, opening his door and gesturing for Penny to follow.
“I’ll see you later,” she said to Pete, winking as the door closed. Penny gone, Maverick’s attention was back on Bradley.
-
“Bradley? Are you in here?”
“M’here.”
Maverick followed the sound of his voice to the last stall in the bathroom. When Rooster unlocked the stall door Maverick frowned.
“Well, good news; you look sick. Are you sick?”
“I haven’t puked if that’s what you’re asking. How did you know I was here?”
“Cyclone sent me. C’mere, you’re just psyching yourself out if you stay here. Lemme-”
The power cut out, submerging the duo into darkness. Maverick swore under his breath, wrapping an arm around Bradley’s shoulders.
“That’s not good. Hopefully the generator should kick in...”
Maverick cleared his throat when the generator didn’t kick in, sighing.
“Hopefully the generator should kick in?”
Still nothing.
Maverick glanced down at his leg when he felt warmth against it and snorted.
“Bradley- Roos? Really, here?”
Considering he was planted on his ass and leaning on Maverick’s leg, it was admittedly not the worst place Bradley had fallen asleep over the years. Maverick huffed, crouching down. The way Rooster had buried in against Maverick’s leg made him think he was more sick than he was letting on, but he couldn’t be 100% sure unless he spoke to him-
“-Maverick, Rooster.”
Maverick jumped when a flash of light hit his face and he instinctively covered Bradley’s face, wincing.
“Cyclone.”
“Wake him up, we have to get going.”
“What’s going on?”
“We’ll talk about it on the way. Now, Maverick.”
Maverick frowned but he carefully detached Rooster from his leg, crouching to brush a hand over the back of his neck.
“You with me, kiddo?” He whispered. Rooster grimaced, shaking his head.
“Do I have to?”
“Bradley, Cyclone said we gotta go. Something’s wrong, there’s no power on base.”
Usually Bradley was on high alert at all times, aware of his surroundings and ready to move at any point; it was what made him a great aviator. He shook his head, burying back against Maverick’s shoulder when he was close enough.
“Bradley, I need you to focus, I think we’re in trouble.”
Rooster finally pulled away and his eyes were slightly unfocused, frowning as he took in Maverick.
“What- Mav? What’s wrong? Where’s- where are we?”
“We’re on base, Roos, the power went out. Cyclone said-”
“-get up, Bradshaw, we gotta go. Now.”
-
Penny and Phoenix found each other in the mess hall, Phoenix catching Penny by the elbow.
“I can’t find Rooster or Mav,” she said, “have you seen them?”
“Cyclone said Bradley was in the bathroom. Pete went to check on him but I haven’t seen them since.”
“Fuck, Roos is sick, sometimes when his fever is too high he gets disoriented.”
Phoenix ran a hand through her hair, reaching for her phone.
“I’m gonna call him, hopefully I can- no signal? What the fuck?”
Right at that moment the doors opened and Cyclone and Maverick walked in, dragging Bradley between them. Phoenix gasped and Penny surged forward, wrapping her arms around Maverick’s neck before turning her attention to Rooster.
“What’s going on? Cyclone, sir, I can’t get any cell signal, and Bradley needs the infirmary.”
Cyclone cleared his throat.
“There was an... incident, on base. We’re all locked down until they can get it sorted. No one in, no one out.”
“Mav...”
Phoenix’s eyes snapped to her best friend and the way he stumbled, her eyebrows raising.
“I thought it was just a cold?” She said sharply. Maverick went to hush her but Phoenix held up a hand.
“He’s fucking sick, look at him! He has no idea where he is.”
“Bradley, where are we?” Penny asked him, trying to get him to focus. Maverick frowned.
“He fell asleep in the bathroom and he’s been out of it since. We need to get him lying down; could we get a stretcher in here?”
“One of the tables will have to do for now,” Cyclone sighed, hooking Rooster’s arm around his shoulders again. He and Maverick managed to get Rooster to sit on a nearby table, Phoenix pointing at one of the kitchen staff.
“Go and get me a clean cloth and a bowl of water.”
They stumbled away and Phoenix rubbed a hand over Rooster’s back, watching Penny put a hand to his forehead.
“He’s burning up,” she muttered, glancing over at Maverick for guidance on what was next. Bradley was his godson, she might have known him on and off for years, but he’d been there for a majority of his childhood. Maverick cleared his throat.
“Roos, if you can hear me, I need you to lie down, yeah? Careful, okay... there we go.”
With Phoenix and Cyclone on his left, Penny and Maverick on his way, Rooster lay down on the table flat on his back.
“S’cold,” he laughed, borderline hysterically. As his hands came up to reach for Phoenix she realised they were shaking and wrapped her own around them so Cyclone didn’t see.
“It’s okay; just breathe Roos.”
“M’fine,” Rooster giggled, “can’t I go home now? I really wanna go home-”
“-Bradley, stop!”

Ashton's p.o.v:
It's been almost 2 weeks since Luke  started feeling better. So far everyone has been in the clear. None of us had gotten the virus.
When my alarm went off at 7:30 this morning my neck and shoulders were quite sore. I went to get up and suddenly felt extremely nauseous. I hadn't even noticed when I woke up. So why now? 'I really hope I'm not getting sick. I know the lads will take care of me if I do get sick, but still.' I thought. I do not have a fear of vomit, but that definately doesn't mean I enjoy doing it.
It's now 7:45am and I have spent the last 10 minutes with my hand over my mouth contemplating whether I would need to make a mad dash to the bathroom, rather than what I should make for breakfast. The nausea passes and I decide to wake up the boys. I go over to Luke and shake him gently to wake him up. He turns over, looks at me and smiles with a stretch. "Mmm. Good morning Ash." Luke is always the easiest to wake up.
"Morning Luke. Hey would you mind cooking breakfast for me while I wake Michael and Calum and hop in the shower?" I asked him. He looked at me questionaly, but didn't question.
"Of course. I don't mind." Luke said worryingly. He got up and went into the kitchen.
"Calum time to get up mate." I said shaking his shoulder slightly. He didn't even budge. "Come on Calum it's 8:15. Get up."
"Alright, alright." He turned and over facing me. "What's got you in a mood- Ash you alright? You don't look so good." He said reaching for my forehead and I lightly swatted his hand away. I already knew I had a fever... I felt chilly but I was sweating slightly.
"I'm fine Cal. Why do you say?" I asked leaning against the wall as casually as I could as a wave of dizziness hit me. 'Damnit I don't want anyone to worry about me. I don't want them to know, but at this rate I'll be found out before lunch. Or breakfast for that matter.' I thought.
"You look really peaky, you have bags under your eyes, and you're sweating." He's observant. 'Damn.'
"I'm fine I just have a headache." I went to go wake Michael up, but as soon as I pushed off the wall the dizziness overtook me causing me to fall over. Calum ran over to me asking if I was ok and I shook my head in defeat and sat back against the wall. I put my hand in one of my hands and brought knees up to my chest using them as a pillow. I put my other hand on my stomach.
"Why did you lie to me? You could've just told me." Cal said. What's really going on Ash?"
"I think I've caught what Luke had, but everything is hitting me quickly." His eyes grew wide as he saw me tighten my grip on my stomach as it took a nauseating flip once again causing me to grimace.
"Are you going to be sick?" Calum asked. I shrugged.
"I don't kno-" I gagged suddenly and I knew my answer. Calum quickly put his arm around my shoulders and helped me stand. I slapped my hand against my mouth as I let out a dry heave and Calum starting walking us to the bathroom,  but I had to stop. I felt like if I moved I wouldn't make it.
"5 more steps buddy. Come on." He begged, but I shook my head. I felt puke traveling up my throat. He quickly picked me up and ran into the bathroom setting down at the door, but I was frozen. He ran over and flipped the lid of the toilet. He roughly grabbed my arm to pull me over to the toilet, I couldn't move and vomit barreled up my throat and onto the floor. "Damnit...! Ash you done?" I shook my head as more poured from my mouth. I suddenly had a severe wave of dizziness wash over me causing me to nearly fall in my own sick and if Calum didn't have lightning fast reflexes I would have. "MICHAEL!!!" Calum yelled with his voice cracking mid yell lowering me down and later me on his lap. He waited a couple of minutes, but he never came.  "LUKE HELP!" Luke came running on and saw the sick on my floor and me in Calum's arms.
"So dizzy... I don't feel good..." The room was spinning. I couldn't move before I was vomiting onto Calum and my front. I couldn't even see what was happening anymore. I felt like I was on a spinning ride at an amusement park. The world was literally just a twisting blur of colors. "Hmmmmmmmuhhhhh..." I saw black spots before my eyes and felt them slowly closing. I faintly heard Calum yelling my name and telling me to stay awake. Unbenounced to me, Luke was on the phone with medical.
Luke's p.o.v:
I heard Calum call for Michael, but I didn't think anything of it. I continued cooking until I heard him call my name followed by a franctic call for help. I ran throughout the bus and I found Calum holding Ash in his arms with a large puddle of sick in front of them. I immediately pulled out my phone and phoned medical.

L- Luke, O- Operator
O- "Emergency services: do you need police, fire, or medical?"
L- "Medical."
O- "What is the address of your location sir?"
L- "We are on a bus... Hold on let me tell the bus driver to pull over."
I ran and told the bus driver the situation and he looked at me sadly before pulling over.
L- "Ok we are on Meadow lane and Lexington drive.
O- "What is the emergency you are calling for today?"
L- "My friend has been vomiting and is on the verge of passing out."
O- "OK. An ambulance has been dispatched. Please meet them outside the bus."
L- "Alright thanks bye."
Tumblr media
I went back to the bathroom. And saw Cal was now covered in sick I grimaced. He was trying to keep Ash awake which was only somewhat working. I walked into the bunk room and shook Michael awake. He saw the worry on my face and jumped up. "What's wrong Luke? What's going on? Why have we stopped?"
"It's Ash. He has it worse than I had." I informed him.
"Where is he?" He said with wide eyes.
"Bathroom." With that he jumped out of bed and sprinted to the bathroom horrified at the sight. I went outside and waited for the medics to arrive.
Michael's p.o.v:
When I saw Luke's face I automatically knew something was wrong. When he told me about I ran back to the bathroom and my face dropped. Poor Ashton was fighting unconsciousness and Calum was trying everything in his power to keep him awake. I saw a giant puddle of sick next to them. I was caught in almost a trace until Calums voice snapped me from my thoughts.
"Ash. Hey! No no buddy keep your eyes open. ASH!" Calum shook his shoulder slightly, but got nothing. Ash started making a horrible coughing sound and both of our eyes widened.
"Get him in his side NOW!" I yelled.  And Calum quickly got out from under him rolling him onto his side. Vomit immediately poured from his mouth. "Fucking hell Ash... You really are worse than Luke was..." Just as I mumbled that Luke entered the bathroom with the paramedics and Calum and I stepped out to give them room to work. All of a sudden we heard a horrid, petrifying scream and wretching. Luke ran out of the bathroom in tears. I hugged him and asked what was going on when I heard it.
"We need to get to the hospital stat." One paramedic told another. "Marina medical this dispatch 267b, we have an Ashton Irwin coming in. He is showing signs of a rupture. He just vomited blood. ETA 10 minutes. We will need a full med team and O.R informed and at the ready." With that they we're on there way out of of the bus. They loaded Ashton into the ambulance within 2 minutes. They switched on the sirens and left.
I called Matt and informed him what was going on and we all met at the hospital.
"Irwin family!" The nurse called and we all ran over to her. "Hello, which one of you are next of kin?"
"All of us." Matt spoke up.
"Ok well Ashton has appendicitis and needs to have emergency surgery. One of you needs to sign the papers."
"Of course I will. Get him in there." Matt said taking the papers and signing them.
Ashton's p.o.v:
I woke up feeling a lot better, but sore. I noticed I was in the hospital. I looked around the room and saw everyone in there asleep. I was tired so I fell back to sleep. When I woke up again I was bombarded by hugs. I smiled and asked what happened. They told me what happened to which I nodded. I was told that I could go home in a couple of days once I was healed. I'm thankful for my band mates. I know that no matter what we will always be here for each other.

my sister was like super sick the past couple of days and i felt a little bad for her but that made me remember all the cool fever dreams i've had while sick like that and then i got a little jealous of her because my fever dreams were like normal dreams but super vivid and cool to experience and remember. but being jealous (even if it was just a little bit) was a mistake. because now im sick and she's not. and omg i fucking hate being sick like this. stomach bugs i can handle. i hate being nauseous but im used to it and enjoy the feeling you get after puking. and stomach bugs but its not coming out via vomit, i can handle that too, i enjoy the feeling of an empty stomach afterwards. but sicknesses where my throat is involved?? i do not enjoy that at all. im usually pretty good at enjoying crappy situations (especially sickness ones) but there is nothing good about having a sore throat. and my throat is super sore. i have to whisper everything i say or not talk at all or have google talk for me. the only cough drops we have are shitty and taste bad and barely work but i've eaten like 30 today. also we don't have any food thats good for a sore throat and so my dad had to go to the store and get some because i was crying with how hungry i was. and i got super bloated out of nowhere from gas and it was being let out and was giving me extreme chest pain. i started today out not that bad, but now i feel awful. if i don't have a fever dream im going to be so sad. also i had to cancel my therapy appointment today which sucks cause i was really looking forward to telling her about my parents divorce. anyways rant over ig

this is me complaining about the DAY i had yesterday ty
i had to wake up at 5 yesterday, i feel like shit, but i think "okay maybe ur just tired, just get to ur exam so you can get ur certificate", i need to go to the capital to attend my "exam" aka doing someones toes, i buy a ticket, i'm stupid and also tired so i buy a one-way ticket, i think fine, i'll just buy one back from there, it's just an extra 10 euros, i get on the bus at 7.35, it's supposed to leave at 7.45, it leaves at 7.55 for no reason other than to make me late, we go super slow, stopping at 3 places to pick up passengers, we stop at our neighbouring citys bus stop to pick up more people, despite the bus being PACKED, we stay at that bus station for 20 MINUTES. atp i'm feeling like SHIT. i have never felt this awful in so fuckin long, i just wanna curl up in a ball and cry, and i'm getting motion sick, we start again and this bus driver is going SO FUCKIN SLOW. we stop at another citys bus station, people get off, more people get on, we're there for another 20 MINUTES. MIND YOU USUALLY IT'S 5 MINS, IT NEVER TAKES THIS LONG. we start again, we're using the old highway, that takes much longer than the new one, we get stuck in the paytoll because some tour busses went in the mtag lane instead of the cash lane, FOR ANOTHER 15 MINUTES. my god. at this point i can't even fall asleep anymore i feel so sick, i need to throw up, i just put my hand over my mouth and pray. we finally start again. MIND YOU. it's been an hour at this point. usually i'm in the capital by that point, no, this time we're a little less than halfway there, i contemplate just asking them to drop me off on the side of the road and calling a cab from literally anywhere, i didn't care abou the price at that point, i tough it out, we finally make it to the capital, it is 9.45 at this point. 2 whole hours. he makes 4627385 stops along the way of people who ask him if they can drop them off anywhere, he is such a sweet old man but at that moment in time i was sitting behind him and it looked so easy to just reach over and put my hands around his neck. we finally stop at the bus stop at 10. 2 hours and 15 minutes of hell. i need to go to the bathroom and i need to throw up all at the same time. i am in hell, i am not going anywhere near the bathrooms in the railway station in the capital, there are bacteria not found anywhere else on earth in there, there is a mall only a 5 minute walk away from the railway station and their bathrooms are clean. i sprint. my knee and ligaments have been killing me the past week, i don't care, i make it to the mall in 2 minutes, i make it to the bathrooms and at 10 am the mall is empty, i have never been more thankful, i puke and proceed to sit on the toilet for 10 minutes, it is now 10.15, did i mention that my exam was at 10?? i clean up, i wash my hands, i notice in my frantoc state i had put my bag down in a puddle on the floor, my bag has soaked up a puddle of which i can only hope is water from a mop, i spend another 10 minutes drying my bag, somehow i haven't cried yet, did i mention the salon is a 30 minute walk from the mall?? i get there at exactly 10.30. my dignity is nowhere to be found, i'm shaking as i'm about to do this womans toes, they think i'm nervous, i'm concentrating not to throw up on her feet, i finish, they say i can start working, i call my dad to come pick me up because i am not getting on another bus ever again. he takes an hour and 10 minutes to get there, in the meantime i walk around the same mall where i threw up that morning, i buy a few things, i buy a little christmas bear for the car as a gift to my dad, the entire time in the store i'm concertating so hard not to pass out or throw up, my dad picks me up and gets me home in about an hour, i have never been more thankful for this man, now summary, i have a sinus infection on my left side and a very slight fever, i am never taking that bus again and am never taking a morning appointment in a different city ever again.

DILUC.
You think you can hide your fever from him for a long time? Yeah, you don't.
At first it may seem like he will let you off the hook, but as he continues to observe your movements and your facial expressions or any signs of discomfort you are experiencing, you bet that he is going to bring you back to the winery whether you like it or not.
You were sitting at one of the tables in the tavern while Diluc was doing his bartender duties on the other side.
As you accompanied him, the throbbing pain in your head won't seem like to stop and you felt your eyes are getting hot.
At first you decided to just shrugged it off, but when you felt something coming up your throat you dashed to the tavern's restroom.
Diluc who saw it all happened immediately dropped what he was doing and followed you.
There he saw you puking at the toilet seat, he was standing there for a moment thinking of something to do that may be able to help you.
He finally took action and rubbed your back while whispering words of assurance.
When the whole situation ended, both of you were sitting at the restroom's floor.
You were still stunned of what happened and as for Diluc he was wiping your mouth with a tissue while observing you.
The back of his hand made contact with your forehead and he was not the most pleased when he felt your skin was burning .
"You're experiencing a fever, why didn't you tell me?" He asked, there was a slight tone of disappointment in his voice.
"I thought it was a normal headache, turns out it wasn't." You replied — half feeling embarrassed for the mess you had caused and half feeling bad for making him feel this way.
Diluc didn't give a response and continued placing the back of his hand on your forehead, you looked up at him with a worried expression painted on his face.
"I'm sorr-" You apology was cut off when you felt him lift you in his arms.
He made his way out of the tavern's restroom, not even caring if the people there turned their attention to the both of you.
"D-diluc what are you doing?." You asked, slightly panicking from his actions.
"Were going back home." He simply stated, before opening the door of the tavern with one of his hands, as the other was supporting you.
"My tavern duties can wait, yours can't." He continued.
Now for the aftermath of the situation, the moment he busted through the doors of the winery he will not let you nor leave you alone, he will carry you to the bedroom and will pamper you while waiting for a doctor.
Diluc is going to use his family's name with all his power to get the herbs and the doctors you need. It doesn't matter how many are checking up on you, he will do anything just so you can recover even though it was just a mild fever.
He will take day offs from the tavern, if ever there are paperworks he really needs to finish expect that he is bringing his table along with the paperworks at the same room as you. You assured him it was okay but nevertheless he was a little stubborn with it, since he didn't want to risk of being separated from you.
Cuddles from him are off limits at the moment, since he also can't get sick. Although he will place forehead kisses from time to time or he will ask you constantly how are you feeling.
Kaeya sometimes visited you which Diluc surprisingly allowed, but there was one time Kaeya visited with Venti this time and they almost met the end of their lives because they mistakened the wine as the herb you are obligated to drink, which made you almost drink the wrong one, the both of them almost got banned by Diluc from visiting you.
Tumblr media
SCARAMOUCHE.
Do you really think you can hide your fever from him? No, you can't.
The moment he sees your sick face and your limp movements, he will drag you back to your house no matter how you complain that you are fine. His words may be harsh but his actions he will be cautious, because he is afraid that he might do something worse.
Scaramouche clicked his tongue in annoyance, as he sees you making your way to him covered in many layers and a scarf wrapped around your neck.
It's not that he's annoyed of seeing you, but annoyed at the fact that you are clearly not okay, yet you still pushed this date.
"What's wrong with you?." You asked him before letting a cough, and still shivering even though you are fully covered from head to toe.
"It's you, your my problem." He spat as he crosses his arms and turns around to look at you.
You let out sigh, preparing where this is going to lead, but now you are not in the mood for it especially with headache you are feeling right now.
"Can we please not fight right now?." You pleaded before shivering again from the cold winds.
Of course Scaramouche noticed it, ever since he saw you walked out of the door with a definitely not-so good face he knew you were already having a fever.
"Your fever is my problem, why do you keep pushing yourself huh?." He continued — his words continuing to be sharp and harsh.
You were about to speak back even though your not in the mood to do so, but before you can even do it his hand grabbed your wrist and is dragging you back to your house..
"But what about the date?!" You replied with frustration.
Scaramouche stopped his movements before speaking again.
"I rather risk our date then see you in pain." He mumbled something that was enough for only the two of you to hear.
The only reason his back was facing you is he doesn't want to show you how concerned he really is at the moment.
He kept dragging you both back to your house until he ended up giving you a piggyback ride because you were too "slow" walking but he was just worried you might faint or your legs will get tired.
"You're lucky I love you." He whispered to himself as he looked at your sleeping form behind his neck.
After the whole situation, you bet that Scaramouche will be instructing his minions to find the best doctors and herbs they can so that you can recover quickly, man can't he just admit that he is really worried for you?
Scaramouche willingly wow decided to take a day off from his duties as a harbinger and will take care of you for the rest of the day by constantly attending to your needs, he will complain though but nevertheless he will bring you what you want. Cuddles are rejected harshly from him but it doesn't go unnoticed the way he holds your hand gently while placing a tender kiss on your knuckles while you take a nap.
Now, if he is outside doing who knows what maybe committing more crimes he will instruct his minions to look and take care of you for the moment, he even threatened them that if he comes back and your not in the best condition he might do something he refused to let you see.
Childe will be trying to visit you for moral support but always ended up getting kicked out of the door, one time he decided to sneak up to check on you and give you some herbs his family uses but ended up being caught red handed by scaramouche who is already at your door .
Tumblr media
CHILDE.
I think it will take him some time to realize that you are experiencing a fever.
As you can see, Childe appears to be a busy man due to being a harbinger. Once he founds out you are hiding it from him because you don't want to give him more priorities, he will be a little disappointed. However, expect this man to be really attentive to you once he does founds out.
Childe opens the door to your house, it was past midnight already and it was one of those days where he was very busy.
Once he arrived at your home, he was met with the lights turned off however when he opens it back on, he saw your figure sleeping on the couch.
He walked towards you, and was about to wake you up to let you know he's back but when his hand came in contact with you arm he froze for a moment before putting his hand on your forehead where there was a burning sensation.
He was concerned immediately and felt bad that not only did he had made you wait, but you were also not feeling well at the same time.
He gently shook you and when you felt your eyes fluttering open, you were met by his face.
As you were about to sat up to greet him, he gestured you to lay back down while he gets a warm towel and some herbs to help you lessen the pain you're feeling.
He crouched down in front of you and placed the towel on your forehead, as he placed the herb you will need to drink later in a nearby table.
It was silent for a moment before he spoked.
"I'm sorry I made you wait, but why didn't you told me you were not feeling well?." He sadly asked — with an evident frown on his face
"I didn't want to be a burden to you, especially after you had a busy day." You mumbled before avoiding his eyes, as guilt started pooling in your stomach thinking that maybe it was not a good idea to hide it from him in the first place.
Childe was taken aback by your response, you were never a burden to him in fact it's his duty as your lover to take care of you.
"I'm so-" You were cut off when he placed his fingers on your lips, shushing you.
"It's alright, but please the next time this happens tell me okay? You're more important because first you are my lover and second I don't want you to overwork yourself too much." He softly said before placing a kiss on your forehead.
After that whole event, prepare yourself because he is going to spoil you rotten. It doesn't matter how many times you have told him that having him around is enough.
Expect him to take day offs from being a harbinger, forget those for now he wants his whole attention only to you. He will pamper you and spoil you, you need water? He's running to the kitchen to get you some. Your cold? He's running around the house to get you the comfortable blankets, hell he might even buy some, he might also give you his coat.
I think childe has experience with taking care of a person whenever they fell ill since he has little siblings, his personality does a whole switch and he will be more on the serious side since he wants you to recover soon because he doesn't like seeing you in discomfort.
Cuddles will still most likely to happen, however there might be some limitations for the mean time since he can't risk himself getting sick, because if he does who is going to take care of you? Who is going to take of him? Who is going to take care the both of you? But hey when he can't cuddle you, he is always by your side. You'll always find him sitting at the side of your bed, and when you open your eyes the first thing he does is asked how are you feeling.
Tumblr media
ITTO.
Now for this man, it will also take some time for him to noticed that you are hiding your fever from him just to see him.
Once he notices and connects the dots, expect that he will carry you back to your home while he instructs the rest of the Arataki gang to find you a doctor and some herbs.
Even though the day was warm it was the opposite for you, everytime those chills comes back, you can't help but grip tighter the coat you have wore.
Recently, Itto told you if you would like to have some time to hang out with him and his gang well mostly him.
And here you are now, on your way to them even though at the back of your mind you should have just took a rest.
"Look, it's [Name]!" Genta yelled catching not only your attention but also the oni himself.
Itto wasted no time in dashing towards you, but before he can even get the chance to touch you, he noticed how you were wearing multiple layers of clothing which made him raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"Hey [Name]! Why are ya wearing too many clothes? It's not even the winter season yet." He asked you.
"Ah you see, the weather for me is just too cold at the moment." You nervously chuckled, slapping your forehead mentally for how lame your excuse were.
"How about a hug? I bet my hugs can warm you up!" He exclaimed excitedly, but before you can even had the chance to stop him he had already wrapped his arms around you.
"See, I told ya my hugs are-" He halt his sentence when he felt a burning sensation from your skin.
He putted you back down before examining you, and by examining you he immediately brought the back of his hand to your forehead.
"Your sick, shouldn't ya be resting?." He explained with a concerned tone in his voice, before putting the coat he has on you, his personality just did a whole switch and now he is carrying you back to your house.
"Boss, what about us?." Mamoru yelled when he realized the both of you had already gone far away.
"Find a doctor for me!." He shouted back, ignoring the weird looks the people are giving him.
After that whole catastrophe, Itto stayed by your side that he was practically like a glue to you. You had told him multiple times to keep distance or else he will suffer the consequences of getting it too but he doesn't budge at all.
When the rest of the Arataki gang visited you, they had already brought a doctor with them. with the help of the doctor they were able to give you the herbs you need in order to recover, which itto instruct them again to go and buy some.
Cuddles? say no more, this boy will jump at your bed and will give you the cuddles you desire. He might even turn you into a blanket burrito or he will hug you endlessly while he tells stories about his adventures or about the Arataki gang or his rivalry about Kujuo Sara. You can guess what might had happened next.
He ended up getting sick too, which caused you to lecture him but he ended up whining about how he is at least with you. The Arataki gang had to double the herbs you were drinking since Itto is also drinking it, they visit you and their leader often for moral support but the one moment they can't forget was how the both of you were hugging each other to the point they had to yell that the both of you won't recover quickly if you don't separate each other.

“A fever? Are you fucking kidding me?”
You winced at the voice coming out of your phone. You were curled up in bed, a heavy futon draped over your achey, chilled body. “I’m really sorry,” you croaked into the receiver. “I can’t get out of bed; there’s no way I’ll be able to come into work today.”
“You know how important tonight’s meeting is.”
You could feel the fire in the eyes of your underboss as he spat at you about how important tonight’s festivities were. You couldn’t care less. You hated the guy, but more importantly you hated your father for getting you in this mess.
A debt needed to be paid and your family couldn’t afford to take out a second mortgage on the house. So your father, as smart as he thought he was, went to the nicest restaurant on the far side of town where the boss of one of the most dangerous mobs in the city stationed his office.
A debt for a debt. That’s what he told you as he came home smiling with a big check in his wallet. No one in your family knew where he got the money, but he seemed confident enough that he’d be able to pay it back.
A month went by and one day, three scary men knocked on your apartment door. They said they were there to “collect”.
You were terrified. You thought they were there to rob you, to take the money you had been saving in a rainy-day fund. But no, they came to collect you. Now, it’s been four months and you’re still stuck doing odd jobs for them--grocery and coffee runs as well as spending reports and other money related things you are less than qualified to do.
You hate your job. You hate having to put up with the unorthodox hours and the unsavory jobs and the complaints about your work ethic and the having to do it over again because you didn’t do it right the first time. You want out. If you weren’t positive that if you left they would be able to hunt you down, you would have fled the country by now.
But your father’s debt still hasn’t been paid.
“Look,” you pleaded. “I can come in tomorrow and work double my usual time. Please, Kirishima-san, I just need the day to rest.”
“Not a chance. You’re coming in today and that’s final. If you don’t, well, then maybe we need to take an extra payment from your parents.”
Before you could even process what he just said, he hung up the phone.
Another payment from your parents. You couldn’t possibly let them take any more from your family. With a new threat looming over your head, you mustered up enough strength to push off of your futon and get dressed for the clients’ dinner.
Tumblr media
By the time it was 7:00 in the evening, you had taken a large swig of cold medicine and were ready to spend the night serving these criminals.
Outside of the restaurant, two bodyguards were stationed at the front door and one at the back entrance. All three of them were dressed in black from head to toe. You, on the other hand, were tasked with serving your boss’s clients, so your outfit differed from theirs.
You were dressed in attire suited for waiting tables. Black slacks stretch across your legs and your pristine shirt was smoothed against your body. A tight black vest clung to your chest and pressed against your boobs, squishing them together. If it weren’t for the fever, chills, and headache, you would look like you belonged with this crowd of criminals.
You flashed your ID to the guard at the back door and he nodded you in. Your eyes had to adjust to the fluorescent kitchen lighting, but once they did you saw how busy everyone was. It truly was one of the most important nights for your boss, so you understood why you were needed. Still, this night would truly take the most out of you.
“Oi, (L/n),” one of your boss’s associates called for you. “Take these to table four. I’ve been covering your ass for the last twenty minutes.”
“Of course, Kaminari-san.” You bowed your head and skirted over to the table where two well-dressed men spoke with one another in a hushed tone. You placed their meals in front of them and bowed your head.
“Wait,” one of them called as you began to walk away. “I asked for a Jasmine tea. This is Sencha.”
“Yeah,” the other one piped up. “And I asked for a Sencha tea and this is Jasmine.”
You wanted to scream. You wanted to yell into the abyss and slap those men across the face. But of course all you did was bow in apology and take the cups back. Kirishima’s words to you over the phone rang loud and clear in your mind.
“Anything they need, you get it for them. These are important people the boss works with and we can’t have idiots like you messing this up for us.”
The men smirked at you and as you turned around to grab their “correct orders,” the man who ordered the Jasmine tea leaned over to leave a hard, painful smack across your ass.
You froze but didn’t say anything and walked away.

It was still early in the night but you had run yourself thin. You needed to sit down or to at least take a sip of water, but there was no room for breaks as you bounced from table to table getting the people what they wanted. You had even left the venue a couple times to retrieve items like the proper creamer one client required in their coffee.
Your throat was so sore and dry and it was aching for a break. Your entire body was aching for a break. But as you saw someone sitting at one of the tables raise her hand to wave you over, you had to put all of your aches aside to tend to her needs.
“Good evening, ma’am.” You bowed your head. “How may I assist you?”
A small smile was on her dark red painted lips. She seemed to be searching for something as she eyed you up and down. “Do you happen to know when Bakugou-san will be joining us?”
Bakugou-san… Were you supposed to know who that is? You had never heard the name before, although you knew your boss had many ties throughout the district. It could be one of them.
“I’m not sure,” you answered honestly. “I could ask my supervisors if they happen to know.”
She waited a moment. She seemed to be searching for something in your expression. “That’s all right. You may go back to work now.”
You bowed and thanked her.
Bakugou-san.
The name did sound familiar, but you’re not sure where you could have heard it. It wasn’t until you were deep in thought, trying to recall where you had heard the name, that you could feel something pushing up against your throat. Oh god. Your stomach was churning.
You ran to the bathroom, pushing someone out of the way to get there. You’d probably hear an earful from Kirishima for pushing a guest, but you needed to find a toilet before--
Oh no.
You barely made it into the stall before emptying the contents of your stomach onto the white tiles of the bathroom floor. Your legs collapsed from under you and you kneeled in your vomit as you coughed up your stomach lining into the porcelain bowl.
Tears fell from your eyes as you struggled to breathe while hacking everything you had into the toilet. The black eyeliner you threw on before leaving the house had smudged into raccoon eyes around your lashes.
You rested your cheek against the toilet, ignoring all of the germs that were most likely crawling up your skin and into your pores. The toilet seat felt cool against your burning cheek and watering eyes. You thought you could die happily here, kneeling on the bathroom tiles in a pile of your slowly cooling vomit.
“Aren’t we supposed to be working here?”
Your eyes shot open, and in trying to stand up you slipped. Your ass landed in the smeared vomit. You winced and let out a drawn out, “fuuuck.”
It took you a moment before opening your eyes again and looking up at the man in front of you. And boy did your eyes widen. He was clearly a guest at the clients’ dinner. His blonde hair was slicked back and the bulge of his muscles under his crisp black button down didn’t go unnoticed by you. His sleeves were rolled up, revealing his forearms and as he crossed his arms over his chest, his sleeves began to tighten.
“Who the hell are you and why are you puking on the floor?”
It took you a second to find your voice. “I’m, um...” you trailed off. “(L/n), sir.” You cleared your throat. “I am a worker for the person hosting this dinner.” You tried to stand up and bow, but he put a hand up to stop you.
“You work for them.” It was a statement not a question, but you nodded anyway. “Why? What do you owe?”
You’re not sure why he was asking, but his intimidating glare compelled you to answer his every question. “My dad owes them money,” you admitted. “And he wasn’t able to pay them back.”
“Who do you mean by them?”
You weren’t sure how to answer. You didn’t even know what these people did. For all you knew they were drug mules or assassins. You never wanted to know what they did when you were roped in. After all, the less you knew meant you could have more of a normal life. “The boss,” you finally answered. Who the boss was, you weren’t sure. You answered to Kirishima but he didn’t have much power aside from ordering around you and every other person unfortunate enough to be roped into working for them.
The man in front of you scoffed. “Get up.”
You scrambled to your feet, ignoring the wave of nausea that hit you. The man led you out of the bathroom, and as you walked behind him, people who passed the two of you stopped and stared. Oh no, it had to be from the vomit stains on your leg and down your shirt. You probably stank to high hell and your eyes wouldn’t stop watering from your fever.
The man stopped and you had to keep from bumping into him. “There’s an extra work shirt in the closet,” he said. “There should also be some slacks in there. Leave your dirty clothes in a pile and I’ll have someone collect them.”
His voice was demanding and it took you a moment to register what he said. It wasn’t until he snapped in your face that you moved.
“We don’t have all day, princess.”
You flinched and nodded before scurrying into the closet and flicking the light on. Inside the closet was the restaurant’s sad excuse for a boiler room. The low humming from the machinery brought you back into the present as you searched for the change of clothes you were promised.
There was a crisp white shirt folded on one of the shelves as well as a few different slacks in varying sizes. The shirt was a size too small, so you had to leave the first couple buttons popped open. Before leaving the closet, you tried to think about who the man was and why he was helping you. Was it possible that he wanted something in return?
When you emerged from the closet, he looked you up and down. You were too tired, however, to notice his lingering glare on your chest and the way the button down squeezed your breasts closer together.
“Thank you,” you mumbled, looking down at your shoes. You’re not sure why you were too scared to look into his vermillion eyes, but the way he called you princess earlier as he snapped at you had definitely made you tremble in your core, and you swore that if you looked up to meet his eyes, your fever would only go higher and higher.
“Why the hell’d you come here if you were sick anyway? Are you trying to poison everyone in the damn building?” His words were like little bullets that shot at every one of your doubts of coming in tonight.
You thought back to why you had come in the first place. You were huddled up in your futon that morning when Kirishima called. You begged to stay home, right? But you couldn’t. You squinted hard as you tried to remember why you weren’t allowed to rest. “I was threatened,” you thought out loud. It wasn’t directed towards the man but he nodded in any case.
“(L/n) was it, right?”
You finally managed to look up at him with bleary eyes. “Yeah, um...” You couldn’t seem to remember what his name was. Wait, he hadn’t told you. He had just led you around and given you new clothes, but he never properly introduced himself.
“Bakugou Katsuki,” he said as if he could read your mind. His lips turned up into a smirk. “But call me Katsuki.”
“Katsuki,” you mumbled. “Bakugou Katsuki.” You had heard that name before, but where. “Bakugou,” you mumbled again as if you were trying to put the pieces of a puzzle together. “Bakugou-san.”
He quirked an eyebrow up at you.
“Oh!” It hit you like a ton of bricks and as soon as you shot up, you had to recoil because of the ache in the back of your neck. “There’s a woman looking for you, Bakugou-san, er, Katuki,” you bowed.
He just chuckled. “There’s a lot of people looking for me tonight. Who was it?”
That’s a good question. You squinted as if you were looking deep into your memories to remember who it was who asked for him. “She was a woman,” you remembered. “With long dark hair and dark red lips.”
Katsuki nodded. “I see the Yaoyorozus are here.”
The Yaoyorozus. You weren’t sure what that could mean but you didn’t feel like questioning it, so you nodded instead.
Katsuki was looking down at you. His arms were crossed over his chest but a smirk that had been playing across his face all night wouldn’t seem to go away. “Feeling better?”
You didn’t feel better. Although you felt cleaner in the new clothes, there was still a throbbing in your head that wasn’t going away and the overhead lights made your eyes water. But the way that Katsuki looked at you like he was expecting you to say yes just drew you in.
He could tell that the way you nodded a yes in response to his question was a lie, and his face fell before pushing a hand up to your forehead, checking your temperature. “Have you taken anything today?”
You had to think back to earlier that day when you brought the bottle of cold medicine up to your lips, not even reading the recommended dose before downing what you could and leaving your home. “Yeah, um, I took some medicine.”
The grin that had been spread across Katsuki’s face returned. “Well I guess we’ll have to get you some more.”
He grabbed your wrist and led you through the halls and over to the bar. You didn’t pay attention to where you were going. The world seemed to be going too fast for you to keep up. What you were able to notice was that everyone’s eyes were on you as you gently swayed back and forth, trying to settle yourself down. As you were in your own head, you couldn’t start to picture what everyone else saw when they looked at you. You with your raccoon eyes due to streaky makeup that you couldn’t stop rubbing.
“Here.” Katsuki shoved a glass in your face. “Not necessarily traditional medicine but it’ll get the job done.”
You looked up at the whiskey glass in his hand. The ‘medicine’ was a deep brown color which swirled around as he handed it to you. Your fingers brushed against his thick ones as you took the glass. You lifted it up to your nose and took a deep breath in, gagging at the smell. “Um, I don’t think I should.” You had been warned about mixing alcohol with drugs and the dangers that came with it, but no one had ever told you not to mix drinks with cold medicine. Still, that couldn’t be right, right?
“Come on, it’s good for you,” he egged you on. “Besides, it’ll get that nasty taste out of your mouth.”
You had never tried whiskey before. You were used to lighter drinks, something bubbly with a shot of vodka or two in it. But this was almost too much. You lifted the glass up to your lips and tilted it back. Your lips stung as they made contact with the drink, but you didn’t want to seem weak to Katsuki. He’d taken care of you so far and seemed pleasant enough, albeit intimidating.
As you tipped it back further and took more of the drink into your mouth, Katsuki pushed his hand against the bottom of the glass so you couldn’t tear it away, making sure you would drink every last drop. It stung going down and the cubes pressing against your lip were colder than you expected. You gagged as a couple loose tears rolled down your face from the drink’s burning sensation. You bet you looked even more of a mess now.
“Good girl,” Katsuki said with a low demeanor. With his thumb, he wiped away a drop of whiskey that rolled down your chin.
“And this’ll make me feel better?” You didn’t think you were supposed to drink when you were sick, but you were far too tired to even think about what was wrong and what was right. If he said that it’d make you feel better, then that had to be a good thing. You’re sure of it.
“Sure will.” He placed a firm, calloused hand on your head and stroked down your hair. You nuzzled into his warmth.
It was such a nice sensation that it almost made you forget that you were supposed to be working. That there were people waiting on you to bring them their food and fetch their creamer, people who were ready to slap your ass and laugh as soon as you turned away.
“I have a,” you started, not really sure where that sentence was going. “I have to go back to work.”
As you began walking away, Katsuki stopped you, pulling you back over so your face was practically pressed up against his chest. “No you don’t. You’re sick, remember?”
Right, as if you hadn’t forgotten. But he was right. You were sick and your medicine hadn’t kicked in yet. You couldn’t risk spreading your germs and getting anyone else sick.
You watched the dinner guests from afar. You leaned in to hear conversations about hitmen and other rivaling mobs around town. Some were about money laundering and clients that needed to be taken out, whatever that meant.
At one point, someone asked to pull Katsuki aside and talk alone, but instead he just pulled you closer.
“The hell do you want, Yoarashi?”
Yoarashi was a big guy, bigger than Katsuki, but it was clear even to you that he was intimidated by the blonde in front of him.
“You owe me for what I let you borrow last month.”
“I don’t owe you shit.”
To you, they sounded like they were underwater and you weren’t sure what they were discussing, but you were curious to learn more.
“Come on, Bakugou. Work with me here.”
“I’m a busy man, Yoarashi. Now get out of my face before I have my men take care of you.”
Something about the raw power and the threatening tone behind Katsuki’s voice made you excited. You wanted to melt into his words, but you weren’t sure why.
“Busy man?” Yoarashi scoffed. “Come on, Bakugou. You’ve barely been seen all night. Where have you been, fucking this little lackey of yours?”
He didn’t mean you, did he? Before you could even comprehend what he just insinuated, Katsuki turned you around and pressed your face up against his chest. You could feel yourself growing even hotter as you were pushed into one of his pectorals. One of his hands cupped the back of your head. Was he protecting you?
“Listen here,” you heard him say. “Don’t contact us ever again unless you want to end up like your first boss did. I can make your life a living hell and I will, got that?”
“Don’t think I don’t have other contacts, all right? You aren’t the only one in this town with resources, Bakugou.”
You felt something jab into the other side of Katsuki’s chest. Did Yoarashi hit him? A few seconds went by before you heard the snapping of fingers and two men came over to drag Yoarashi away.
Katsuki released the hold he had on you, and you watched as the tall man struggled out of his hold. “You aren’t gonna tell anyone what you saw here tonight, right princess?”
You shook your head. You weren’t sure what exactly you felt when you saw that man being dragged away. You were scared, of course; scared for your own life and of the raw power that Katsuki seemed to hold. But on top of fear there was something else. There was a tingle between your thighs that wouldn’t seem to go away, and there was also a sense of excitement. Out of all the people here, this man was paying attention to you. You were far from Mafia material, but he clearly saw something in you and you wanted more of his gaze lingering on you.
Your mind felt hazy with Katsuki and you wanted even more. You didn’t know what to do when you felt him smooth his hand down your back. You didn’t know what to do when his usual smirk turned into something much more dangerous. And you didn’t know what to do when he leaned over and pressed his lips against your own.
His lips felt heavenly as they explored you. They were soft and welcoming despite his cold and dangerous exterior. His tongue probed its way into your mouth. He tasted like whiskey and something else which you assumed was just him. He bit your lip and it felt like he smiled when you let out a moan.
When he released, you felt as if the whole world was spinning with Katsuki. You wobbled around a bit and he chuckled. You tried asking if you could sit down, but the words refused to come out. The last thing you remember is seeing the world go black, the sound of the clients’ dinner fading out of earshot, and two strong arms carrying you away from reality.

You were in pain by the time you woke up. Your body, especially your head, ached tremendously and you wished the sun would stop shining so bright through your window. But wait, the window in your bedroom at your apartment faced another building. The sun never shined too bright in the morning when you were at home.
Slowly, you peaked your head out from under the covers and looked around. You weren’t in your bedroom, but you were in a bedroom. The bed you had been asleep in was enormous, but aside from that there was not much else furniture in the room or even any pictures to signify who the room could belong to.
It wasn’t until you sat up that you realized just how exposed you were under the covers. You couldn’t find your clothing anywhere. What were you even wearing last night? Where were you last night?
You remembered being sick and being called into work by Kirishima. You were stressed. You were nauseous. There was a beautiful woman who asked for someone in particular but you were too sick to remember what their name was, right?
And then you raced to the bathroom and met--
A groan from beside you shook you out of your thoughts, and as soon as you saw the person lying in bed next to you, all of your memories came flooding back.
“Morning, baby girl,” Katsuki said.
You didn’t know what to say. Your mouth hung open and you felt lightheaded.
Katsuki was shirtless under the covers and you were too scared to ask if he had anything on covering his lower half. “You put on quite the show last night.”
Last night. Where you met him. What did you do last night? “I...” You didn’t know what to say, and that made Katsuki let out a booming laugh.
“Come on, you remember at least a little of it don’t you?”
You shook your head. Then you shook your head again. You couldn’t stop shaking your head.
Katsuki put a hand on your shoulder and you stopped. He had a shit eating grin spread across his face that you wanted to both punch and kiss at the same time. “First throwing up at my party and then getting blackout drunk in front of all my guests.”
“What?” You could barely remember anything. What did he mean ‘his party’? The clients’ dinner was run by…
Your eyes widened as you realized just who you had found yourself naked in bed with. Who had found you puking on the bathroom floor. Who that stunningly gorgeous woman was asking for earlier.
You clamped a hand over your mouth and Katsuki let out another chuckle. “You really were the life of the party.” He grabbed your wrist and dragged you over to his side of the bed, and you let him. He dragged his hand up and down your exposed body and roughly cupped your sex. “I had a blast toying around with you last night, but now I want you to be able to remember what it feels like when I bury my cock inside of you, sweetheart.”
You hated the way he was grabbing you and the way he forced your legs to open up for him, but what you hated more than any of that was the way his words made your inner thighs ache and how they instinctively parted just for him.
You turned away as he leaned down to smother your chest with rough kisses, and as you looked over to your left hand, you couldn’t help but notice a diamond ring that wasn’t there the night before.
