So of course he started going there regularly right when he was about to enter you push past him(i quite literally mean push). He was caught off guard by that but when he tried to confront you, you've already bought whole stock of peach buns(his and apparently your favorite snack). When going past him you realized that you accidentally pushed him.

"Im so so sooo terribly sorry!"

Out of guilt you gave him one of your peach buns apology and ran off with the rest.

Tho he was left dumbfounded by the whole interaction. He swore next time he'd get the whole stock

And that's how your rivalry with the Great Sage equal to heaven started. Everyday was a fight over who will get the buns. He was playing dirty! He'd use one of his 72 transformations(like transforming into an ant etc.) to get ahead of you in line. And some other times you'd camp outside the bakery just to get the buns. Once whem you did that you even left him a message

"Better luck next time Peach King :)"(that's the nickname you gave him lol)

This continued on for a whole month!

But as your rivalry died down a bit you started to share the buns. He'd get them all and wait for you to come by so he could give you half, and you'd do the same. That's how you became friends with the legendary Sun Wukong THE Monkey King.

You once had movie night at FFM with all the baby monkies and a crap ton of his favorite peach chips(tbh you were probably watching movies based on him). Later on you invited him over to your apartment for another movie night, and oh boy... You had soooo many peach flavored snacks he couldn't believe it! Honestly you didn't even pay attention to movies, most of them were boring but you had fun judging everything characters did with Wukong. That was now a tradition of the two of you, you guys would buy the peach buns and go over to one of your places and watch random movies( it really wasn't about the movies more like that you enjoyed each others company).

After 3 months of having these movie dates(atp you guys were dating) and Wukong wanted to make it official. He confessed to you in the bakery(so romantic ik). He didn't know how to confess so it was a bit wonky, but really sweet, and so you started officially dating! (Sorry for this rushed part like idk how to write these kind of things)

It had now become a tradition every year for you and Derek to wear matching costumes at Halloween. You didn’t care much for the holiday before you met him, but he soon changed that. Derek was an absolute sucker for Halloween. He treated it with just as much excitement as he did Christmas, maybe even more so.

This year you were both dressed as the Grady twins from The Shining, his idea, obviously. He was so excited about it, he got ready in less than 5 minutes, rushing to your changing room to see how you looked. He was stood like an impatient little toddler waiting for you to come out. “You still alive in there?” He joked after not receiving a response from you.

i think i've mentioned this to you before but your dialogue is always pretty distinct—you use a bunch of less-common but still effective speech tags (is it a melon fic if no one “cedes” lmfao) + do a really lovely job of setting the different characters' speaking styles apart. also, just, the words you use for characters' speech (that makes no sense nine, oh dear)—little things like writing pearl saying "see ya" instead of "see you" help readers more vividly imagine her saying the line. i've started doing it a bit more since like. i've seen how you Make It Work but i didn't use to before bc i was always kinda paranoid it’d make it seem harder to read/just like… overkill?? dunno but i never see that problem with your dialogue

your actual prose is also pretty distinctive—I am Trying to put it into words but it’s just. a vibe. thanks brain. you’re really good at mixing it up with paragraph and sentence structure to keep things interesting; i do tend to miss that if i edit the day of writing lol but you’re really good at noticing that. also, ik you’ve mentioned not always knowing how to do descriptions and like. I find that funny bc you’re 10x more likely to open a scene with a landscape description than i am. the descriptions you do include are usually very movement-focused and have less to do with the characters body language and more to do with how they’re interacting with the environment. you’re also a fellow em-dash enjoyer, especially in dialogue, which makes character’s lines feel more natural + close to how people actually speak.

i keep talking about your dialogue but it’s just very fun!! you’re also like Not Afraid to juggle scenes with many characters which alskdjdhahal magic. i must spend ages poring over any character’s speech pattern before i dare write them and you just. do it

thank you yes dialogue is the one thing i’m confident in—i’ll say, shortening words is a thing i choose to do sparsely and only in circumstances where i think it is kind of necessary to get across the right vibe. accented speech in any capacity is finicky so if i think the reader will be able to read it in their voice without assistance, i leave it. like with stress’s scene in crosscurrents, although she even types in an accented manner, i didn’t do that in the text, because that would be difficult to read, and i know readers know how she speaks already. i use shortens to accentuate a tone or an energy first and foremost, unlike how i often see it used to denote accents. i think it works out well, and i’m glad you think so!

AND OKAY i have been opening with descriptions every time because i’m actively trying to practice, cos i basically ALWAYS opened every writing piece with dialogue for YEARS and im trying to get out of that habit ���

& it’s so cool to know someone notices that i do a lot of variation in sentence lengths/types because that is a conscious decision i’ve been making for years. if i have too much consistency with it, i feel like it gets repetitive—with notable exceptions being that i use short simple sentences or sentence fragments repeatedly when trying to get across intense stress or fear or smth. go-to method for that lol because it mimics how my own mind organises disorganised thoughts

em dashes my beloved <3 i definitely have characters cutting themselves off or correcting themselves mid-speech pretty often or using filler words like “um” “like” “y’know” etc because i notice people use those a lot—i use those a lot—and no one’s ever going to be truly concise without a script. i gotta capture the girlfailure energy of these boys (gender neutral) not being able to get their thoughts across well

DO I REALLY USE CEDED FHAT OFTEN that’s so funny. the funniest thing, too, is that word is not even on my little list of speech tags i have pulled up when i’m writing. it just lives in my brain and comes out a lot, i suppose

lastly thank you i love writing scenes with many characters it’s always fun and i fear nothing 🥳 if i can write a scene with 14 characters present then i can do anything

izuku with natural hair, yes. you saw him hold a straightener near his precious curls, and you SCOLDED him for it. he felt super guilty, so to compensate, izuku handed you all of the work.

but that’s pretty much it. you only take care of his hair, making sure he doesn’t fry it. and he does everything else.

cannot cook, even if it was the end of the world. so whenever he tries, he’d never let you get a bite. poison control is on speed dial, if you do manage to eat some. zuku’s just watching out for you 😔

he usually likes it when he walks in front of people. but, for you, you have to walk in front of him, or just don’t walk at all 😾👺

opens doors for you just because he wants to, but katsuki will never admit that, and will always say “you’ll pull on a push door, and embarrass me. i’m opening the doors.”

you’re his food tester, and unlike the rest, his food ALWAYS tastes good. he’ll never do you wrong.

his reasoning for this is “i trust your judgement. now eat, or else” but it’s also because he loves seeing your reaction 💀 ego boost? ego boost.

(also dedicated to my bestie, @shotorozu) but stares at your nails, if/when you get them done. says they look like ‘a pain in the ass’

but when you ask him if you should take them off, he gets mad 👹 like WHAT make up your mind 🙄

when katsuki sees that you’re cold, he throws his sweater on you. also warmed it up with his quirk, so it’s extra toasty.

when he sees that you’re a little too warm, he drags you to someplace private, yanks your shirt off and replaces it with his tank top.

also waits for you when you’re tying your shoelaces. says he won’t, but when you turn around he’s right behind you, waiting.

doesn’t look like the type, but he will watch documentaries with you. the ones with some tragedy in them, of course.

katsuki was like “why do you wanna watch this shit? a whale documentary, really?” *ends up watching blackfish three times, and complains about sea world each and every time.*

loves holding your hand but man’s hands are sweaty. so he makes the both of you start off slowly. despite you saying he won’t blow your hand off, he’s extra cautious.

the two of you link pinkies, then immediately, pinkies and ring fingers. then three fingers, and finally, real hand holding.

he likes taking care of you, but you end up babying him too. brush his hair, kiss his forehead, whisper kind affirmations. he complains a lot, hating how he’s super vulnerable, but he knows how much he wants, and needs it.

|| SHINSŌ HITOSHI

the two of you played fight once, and he ended up pushing you off the couch HARD.

hitoshi underestimated his own strength, and he felt super bad about it. you ended up comforting him, after he soothed your pain.

he was a super vague teacher when it came to teaching you how to ride a bike (if you don’t know how to) hitoshi was the type of teacher that would teach like “step one, get on bike. step two, lift feet. step three, bike.”

with that being said, he’s basically glued to your side when you’re sitting on his bike. lets his hand go just to tease you, but he’d never actually let you fall down.

looks really lost when you guys go shopping. isn’t really flashy when it comes to his sense of style, so hitoshi will let you up his fashion game.

also ran into a bunch of clothing racks because he was too busy admiring you trying on more clothes.

allowed you to do his eyeliner once, and made the grave mistake of rubbing his eyes 😶 went to class looking like a horror movie villain, and scared kaminari 💀

on the weekends, the two of you constantly alternate between no sleep, or lots of sleep. usually depends if hitoshi wants to copy you, or if you want to copy him.

burrito blankets with shinsō hitoshi are FREQUENT. he daf that it’s compacted or hot, he will take this time to be even more closer with you.

learns how to do your hair (if you allow him, doesn’t matter the length) he’s kinda boss at it

waves his hand across your face whenever he wears rings, because he just KNOWS how much you like them.

the only time he ever used his quirk on you, is when you were in desperate need of sleep. it’s a touchy topic, but the peaceful look on your face was worth it.

enjoys holding hands with you, but if you REALLY wanna make this man’s cheeks burn red, then while holding hands, shove your hand in his pocket.
