A/N: Alright, if we're gonna do this series, then it's time we talk about my ult. The man, the myth, the meow meow(I'm sorry Yoongi)

Dating Yoongi is comfortable.

So soft for you, I can't even begin. Like, I don't understand how people ever think he's cold, he is the epitome of soft boi.

Blushes when you complement or brag on him.

Turns into a scrunched up, spluttering mess if you call him cute(we love our tsundere).

Very cautious at first with his feelings, but once he feels comfortable enough to open up, he's very straight forward.

To call it dating is a bit generous though. Like, y'all immediately go from 'kinda dating' to 'married-but-not-married'.

Tells you he loves you for the first time in one of those long ass, 3am texts like he sends to the members.

Would They Survive Waffle House?

This came to me in a vision.

Riddle - absolutely not

He would collapse as soon as he walks in. Thinks it's utterly horrifying and refuses to come back. he also yells at someone and gets decked.

Trey - maybe

Better than most, but he doesn't like it very much. Complains that he could've made better and with less chaos.

Cater - yes

Absolutely could survive, but that doesn't mean he enjoyed it. However, he did get some great videos of people brawling out front, so that's a plus.

Ace - 100% yes

This boy thrives in chaos. He'd fit right in with all of the other freaks. Most likely to start a fight for funsies. Definitely gets punched tho.

Deuce - depends

As his delinquent self? Yes, he is ruling the Waffle House. As his new honor student self? He is calling his mom and begging her to come save him. He hates it here and wants to leave asap.

Leona - yes

Literally just sleeps through the chaos. And if someone tries to fight him, he'll just beat them up. He refuses to touch the food tho.

Ruggie - absolutely

He's the king of the Waffle House. Loves how cheap the food is, and enjoys the free entertainment (fights). Lowkey tries to start fights so that he can steal other people's food while they're not looking.

Jack - no

Could easily beat someone in a fight, but he hates the vibes. He takes one step inside and immediately attempts to turn back, but Ruggie makes him stay.

Azul - dead

He's dead the moment he walks in. Honestly, he never stood a chance at surviving here. He sees something move in the corner and freaks out.

Jade - yes

Find the chaos amusing, but he refuses to sit down anywhere or consume any food. Won't start a fight, but will end several. He also enjoys seeing Azul freak out.

Floyd - thriving

This place was practically made for him. He unironically loves the food, and he fights literally everyone he sees. Multiple people have tried to drag him out and he refuses to leave. Also tries to get a job so he can stay.

Kalim - undecided

He doesn't even get to go inside. Jamil will not let him step foot into the Waffle House under any circumstances. Thinks it sounds fun tho, so he's sad he can't go.

Jamil - yes, but begrudgingly

Yes, he could survive, but he doesn't want to. He steps inside and immediately wants to die. The only reason he's here is to make sure no one gets in trouble and/or does something illegal. Could do well in a fight if needed.

Vil - screaming

This is his worst nightmare. He's in so much mental pain just from the decor alone, and that's not even the half of it. It's gross, the food looks like it spoiled decades ago, and he could have sworn he saw something move in the corner.

Rook - yes

He finds the atmosphere comforting. The food isn't great, but that's not what he came here for anyways. Watching people get into brawls is enjoyable to him.

Epel - southern

Boy is a born and raised southerner, so of course he could handle it. He's getting into all sorts of fights and absolutely demolishing several plates of suspicious-looking waffles. Having the time of his life until Vil makes him leave.

Idia - social anxiety

Please let him go home. His anxiety cannot handle being in a situation like this. Passes out the second he sees other people fighting. Tries to hide in the bathroom but immediately regrets it when he sees what it looks like.

Ortho - yes

It's not like he can eat the food, and no one could possibly beat him up since he's made of literal metal, so he's all good. Spends most of his time protecting Idia and making sure he's still alive.

Malleus - yes and no

He could handle it in theory, but he refuses to actually go inside. Could potentially be persuaded to give it a try, but for now he wants nothing to do with the Waffle House.

Lilia - the inventor of Waffle House

Honestly, wouldn't be surprising if he secretly owned the Waffle House. Lives for the chaos, and the food looks like something he'd cook.

Silver - hesitant yes

Only survives because he fell asleep. If he were awake, he would hate it. He went in because Lilia made him, but he does not want to be there.

Sebek - no, but yes

He's good at fighting and fending for himself, but he's constantly complaining about how horrible it is. Goes on a long tangent about how him being here is a disgrace to his precious Waka-sama and all that. Still, he could survive if needed.

I am half asleep while writing this, so this entire post might sound like complete nonsense, but I needed to write it down. Anyways, if I'm going to a Waffle House, I'm taking Ruggie, Floyd, and Epel with me.

I saw your Smoke post and wanted to add to it. I was one of those 'Comments under every Ed Boon MK11 Tweet begging for Smoke to come back' kind of fangirl so it's not like I just kind of liked Smoke and am complaining now. I was always a ride or die for Smoke's character and he was my main in MK9. However I am not a fan of MK12 Smoke. He's cute and he's not the worse redone character, but they've made him such a door mat personality wise. At some point I even started questioning why he was even Kuai Liang's friend or loyal to Liu Kang in this timeline. Kuai Liang just sat by and let Bi Han disrespect Smoke right in front of and said nothing meanwhile Smoke was a ride or die when Kuai Liang needed him and it made me so mad. Not to even mention the intro where Liu Kang lowkey admits to causing Tomas's family to die. I honestly expected Tomas to betray them and at this point I kind of want him too, for no other reason then at least it will show he has a spine. Tomas has more of a reason to betray Kuai Liang and Liu Kang then Bi Han does and if he ever does I won't even be mad about it. The writers just expect us to except their friendship cause they were friends in the last timeline without bothering to build on the friendship in the new timeline. I'm sorry for dropping an essay in your inbox but this gets me so heated.

He got some great previous versions, previous timelines that actually built respect on his name, but in mk1 2023 he was reduced to Kuai's sidekick.

In MK9 I could without any doubt understand that he was there for his own reasons and for his own protection (since Bi-Han belonged to his crew and the Grandmaster had gone nuts). Even on Legends they did a better work...

On the story mode I could kinda see the man I grew up with... But his endind and most of his dialogues was very disappointing. He was truly wasted.

All they gave to us about his absolute loyalty to Liu Kang and Kuai Liang was the excuse of "father said so", "father would want that", "to honor father" and so on.

Kuai Liang didn't care at all about him until he needed his help. I also don't see where Kuai saying to him that "Bi-Han owed u respect" or "we are brothers" after loses Bi-Han, shows otherwise.

His personality and goals now are basically "be a good boy" thing and that's it. What is cute, but beneath him.

I wish your premonitions could be brought to life, but they made him such a needy sappy character that I wouldn't be surprised if they even let him die for some petty reason...

I don't like the projections/assumptions of him being pitiful or even a helpless person, but I can understand some of them (recently, I realized where they're coming from...)

Just a quick fun little Torchwood AU that I put no thought into!!! /s (these ideas have not left me alone and I have thought about this extensively and in detail)

If you're unfamiliar with Torchwood, it's a spinoff show from Doctor Who about an organisation on Earth who monitor and sometimes combat extra terrestrial activity. Think MI5 but with aliens.

- it's in the modern era

- Lucy and Felix are Torchwood too

- the rift is under London now

- so everything happens canonically, like Daisy and Hazel still experience and solve all the murders, Daisy still dies at the end of DSS

- and she like ACTUALLY dies. She drowns

- Felix is understandably Devastated, and goes to make some Unwise Decisions

- these involve ripping someone from the past through the rift and then putting their unlived energy from their time period into Daisy to revive her

- the person he takes from the past is from the 1930s. Guess who it is. It's Aleks!!!

- Felix pulls him through because he was reported missing, but noone was looking for him (sorry Aleks) and so Felix figures it's ok to pull him through

- (it gets a bit paradoxical because the only reason Aleks is reported missing in the first place is because Felix pulls him through the rift)

- Daisy and Aleks are now like. Lowkey connected because of this

- for example if Aleks died Daisy would too and sometimes they hear a very brief glimpse of the other's thoughts

- anyway Hazel and George saw Daisy die, like her body and everything, including in the morgue

- when Daisy comes back Hazel doesn't take it well, understandably, thinks she's fake and not the 'real Daisy'

- so they retcon her (which means they give her an amnesia pill) and leave her to grieve

- George is slightly more on board with everything and so gets to remember Daisy, but this makes him and Hazel drift apart because she can't understand why he doesn't seem as sad as her

- fast forward to when they're all adults (like 20ish)

- Daisy, George and Aleks are working at Torchwood, they were recruited

- Hazel's just out living her life, but she's a bit lonely, so Kitty drags her to a bar one night

- at the same time, Aleks is deemed to have learned enough about the 21st century to go out on his own, George encourages him to go to a bar and socialise

- Hazel and Aleks meet and really like each other, they fall in love blah blah blah

- George and Daisy (especially Daisy) are losing their mind over the fact Aleks has managed to fall in love with their old best friend

- Hazel and Aleks get all domestic, move in together, but she gets suspicious at the fact he's always out at odd hours

- she tails him one day and is completely shocked to see him and George at an alien ship crash site or something like that

- she tails them and ends up at the ✨Torchwood base✨

- she sees Daisy and is like 'hey! What the fuck!' but deals with it better this time

- Hazel feels so guilty that she didn't believe Daisy all those years ago

- anyway everything is explained, Hazel gets recruited, joins the team (she's still completely pissed at absolutely everyone for lying to her but moving on)

- ok so that's the backstory

- they solve and sometimes create alien shenanigans

- they find out that Hazel has this weird energy around her that draws in murder to her

- the murders would have still happened regardless but some universe energy is always creating opportunities for her to be there

- Daisy is a little jealous of this

- Hazel and Daisy actually solving the murders is just something they happen to do because they're good at it

- none of them are monogamous

- Daisy is a trans woman, and an aromantic lesbian, she/her

- George just uses the label queer for gender and sexuality, pronouns change on the regular, depending on his mood

- Aleks is still figuring shit out because he's from the 1930s but definitely thinks boys and girls are attractive. He/him but George explained pronouns to him and he got excited when he realised people could use she/her for him but he's left that for another day

- Hazel is a nonbinary girl, uses she/they and is bisexual

- they're all like slightly in love with each other in the sense that noone else has seen what they've seen, and they've been through shit together. They'll always always have each others' backs

☾ - sleep headcanon

As a group: Hawks is on one side with his wings wrapped around the other two, Dabi is in the middle, usually holding onto Hawks, Shigaraki is on the other side holding onto Dabi until he's sure that they're both asleep and then he gets up to do something else unless it's a rare night he's not suffering from insomnia.

Dabi: Has nightmares a lot, and is always tired, can fall asleep anywhere and even standing up if he feels safe enough

Hawks: Sleepy boy, when he has a day off he is washing his sheets, fluffing his pillows, and making sure his softest blanket is fresh from the dryer so that he can indulge in the Peak sleep experience

Shigaraki: What the fuck is sleep? No real reason, no nightmares even after remembering his past, he just doesn't sleep very much.

✿ - Sex headcanon

As a group: Dabi and Shigaraki like to work Hawks over together best, there's just a lot more they both can be doing with the addition of his wings, and Hawks will never admit it, but he loves being a pillow princess for them.

Dabi: Lost his virginity last of the three of them (the skin falling off and coma were contributing factors). Down for whatever, but does generally prefers AMAB anatomy because he has an oral fixation and loves getting his throat fucked (straps are fine but it's not as good)

Hawks: Thinks he has a low sex drive, but it's really mostly his baggage. He's been a sex symbol in Japan since he was 19 and he's been working as a spy doing honeytraps for a lot longer. He's so unimpressed with sex he's almost uninterested until he finds people that he actually clicks with and genuinely wants.

Shigaraki: Sex is a game and he is winning. Lol no, but he does engage with sex/kink as a form of entertainment. It's something fun to do that feels good, and it's one of the only times he gets to touch someone and they actually want that which helps settle something in his brain.

∇ - old age/aging headcanon

As a group: Hawks an Shigaraki mock Dabi for being an old man, Hawks calls Shigaraki whippersnapper, they are the same as they've always been, but their joints ache now and it looks like Hawks is going to have white hair too soon.

Dabi: did not think he was gonna make it this far and for a long time he's got even more self-destructive tendencies. Takes him deciding that he wants to stick around to see his nieces and nephews grow up before he decides to be a more mature adult. (If he's no longer a villain, he starts a program that can help teach quirk regulation to people like him who have unstable ones.)

Hawks: Also assumed he would die young. Retires from being a hero and focuses on making himself a little life of his own. Has a bakery he goes to for pastries, becomes the old man who feeds the birds, leaves his wings at home when he does those things so he can just be Keigo and not 'retired number two hero: Hawks'

Shigaraki: As he gets older he tries to find kids like him who need someone to take them in. Makes a home for them like AFO did for him (ideally without the ulterior motives). Just eventually the anger and the disgust fade and he is more interested in making sure no kids get abandoned because they're hard to deal with.

ൠ - random headcanon

As a group: One of the best days they've ever had together was the three of them just spending time together on a nice afternoon. They were just a tangle on the couch, Hawks napping, Dabi reading, and Shig playing one of his games. It was incredibly chill and lowkey and none of them will admit it, but for that afternoon they all wished they weren't heroes/villains because if they weren't then this could have just been their life together.

Dabi: Hates that he's always so hot because fluffy sweaters and stuff look so comfy, but he literally can't wear them without overheating.

Hawks: Every time he sees a birdfeeder he wonders. He's not a bird. But. But what would that taste like to him? This haunts him.

Shigaraki: He is the most ride or die person you will ever meet. Once he has imprinted on a person then he is going to make sure they're taken care of and happy. (This is a threat (: )

Random thoughts after finishing the first Promised Neverland manga

Please don't spoil anything on here I'm specifically avoiding online stuff about it for a reason

Emma's a great main character, she's easily lovable and I can generally see where her arc is gonna go (at least her personal one)

I really like how Emma and Ray are already seeming to be foils to one another; Emma's main strengths being her physical abilities vs Ray his mental ones, Emma's optimism and idealism vs Ray's practicality and pessimism, the fact they both seem to care about the others in the orphanage (Ray only says they can't all make it so they should take the ones who can, which means he does want to help those he can, he just thinks they can't help everybody). They balance each other out well

I'm betting Norman is being set up to be either a demon or involved with them somehow. Out of all of the trio he acts the least like a kid (both Emma and Ray have their moments), when he figures out Isabella's strategy he seems more upset that she beat them than that they're in danger should she find them out, he explicitly only wants to help the other kids to keep Emma happy (and lowkey only seems to care about her and Ray - or maybe I'm just reading that wrong), and, atm, is kinda the heart of the trio in that both Emma and Ray like and trust him (as opposed to each other). I don't think he'll necessarily be evil but there's something off about him

I wonder if Emma's ability to read people is going to be developed further. If Norman's the strategic and Ray's the walking library, it makes sense of Emma's character she'd take the role of knowledgeable about people (which they really need). Like, she's already read Isabella's body language to understand her intentions once, it would be cool if that developed.

Is Ray Japanese? I'm pretty sure both Emma and Norman are intended to be white, but maybe it's just bc Ray has a much more typical 'anime boy' haircut than either of them, but I think he could be Japanese

Okay so: the kids who get perfect scores on the tests are recruited by the demons to help continue the farms? That's what it seemed like given both Isabella and Krone have numbers on their necks and Isabella directly states this to Krone. The Mother position seems to be in high regard as well - so is it just for the glory and authority Krone wants it, or do you get like, physical benefits as well?

Speaking of that - it seems like only the girls who get perfect scores can go into the 'mother role', because Emma mentions only the older girls are tasked with helping Isabella with the babies and young kids. So what happens to the boys?

Also, if kids who get perfect scores become minions of the demons, why do the demons mention harvesting 'the three who got perfect scores' then? By 'harvest' do they just mean sending them away from the orphanage?

So Isabella's watch doesn't tell her who is where, so the trackers are indiscriminate

Couldn't they solve the issue of the trackers by just... stealing Isabella's watch? Norman can pick locks, Ray has shown himself to be very sneaky (Norman and Emma not knowing he was there for a while until he spoke), and Emma's the fastest kid in the orphanage, between the three of them they could probably pull it off. Unless Krone has one too, which would suck

Question: why bother lying to the kids to begin with?? Like if they're raised to believe they'll get good lives outside, they'll naturally be terrified when it turns out they're gonna be turned into meat. But like, if that's all they never know, if that's what they're raised with the expectation of, I think significantly fewer would even see it as an issue.

Tbh, I feel like the 'why was Isabella kind to them' question is pretty easy: to get them to trust her, and because like, why not? The kids will die regardless, so why be cruel to them in the short time they have left? And if she's kind to them, they'll trust her enough to not question anything she says, like not to go near the gates or outside and about the foster families, even though none of the kids who were 'fostered' have ever written back.

the first character i ever fell in love with: Raine. Even as a teenager she was my favorite and I loved her immediately.

a character that i used to love/like, but now do not: I actually think I used to really like Zelos and found him hilarious when I was a teenager myself, and now I'm like 😨 about half of what he does and says. Yikes, bro. It actually makes me wonder how differently he would be written if the game was coming out for the first time now, because a lot of the stuff in the game just would NEVER fly these days.

a ship that i used to love/like, but now do not: Ah. Behold, my personal cringe: I used to ship Kratos/Raine. It didn't last very long because my fellow shippers in 2004 made me abandon ship entirely & do a heelturn toward my current OTP out of pure spite. If I'm being honest I was only shipping it because they were the only two adults in the party for a while, anyway, so it wasn't a serious attachment. 🙄 But like, it should be noted that this happened while I was in the middle of writing a love triangle fic. Okay, okay, okay! Alaris and his boyfriends! So the thing in my setting is that Alaris has just the biggest crushes on Bull and Dorian basically from day one, but he's so terrified of what the Chantry faithful who make up his advisors and followers will do to him if he steps too far out of line (which. the Tevinter altus and the Ben-Hassrath spy are certainly not romantic interests the Inquisition would've picked for their Inquisitor) that he keeps hesitating and putting off saying anything for long enough that Bull and Dorian get together before he makes a move (because of course he's bringing them places with him), and then he basically immediately goes "I want my beloveds to be happy" about it and tries to pull himself back to just being friends with them with no romantic feelings whatsoever, because clearly if they're into each other they wouldn't be into him and he doesn't want to ruin things with two of the only people he's really close to in the Inquisition. This... goes about as well as you might expect. They dance around it for a bit and then at some point post-Adamant (and post-Bull and Dorian's companion quests, because I've always felt like a lot of the companion quests fit best after HLtA or WEaWH when the Inquisition has gathered some power and Thedas-wide recognition; things like the Qunari offering a full alliance or Dorian's father tracking him down feel like they fit best when the Inquisition's got a bit more attention and power) they eventually have A Conversation and things go from there. There is a period where they aren't together but Alaris is simply the most cuddly because this boy has not had a hug in approximately three years and keeps nearly dying and Bull and Dorian are simply expected to deal with that like normal people who wouldn't do anything at all if Alaris just batted his eyelashes at them and that is just deeply unfair. Also Alaris is a bundle of anxiety locked down behind a facade of solid steel and you know that Bull and Dorian would absolutely want to help with that. Meanwhile Alaris's relationship with Bull and Dorian is by the end of the game basically the only thing keeping him from just giving up in disgust and leaving the world to die and the three of them are so clearly head-over-heels for each other that the advisors can't be too annoyed about it, but at the same time... the Tevinter altus and the Qunari merc, Inquisitor? Really? Could he not have made it quite so difficult for them to win over the Chantry faithful?

As for the rest of the Inquisition, Alaris is probably closest to Cole as basically the only other person who never gives him shit and who always at least tries to make him feel better about all this nonsense. After Cole probably Solas, who as an older elf mage with a lot of information that he's happy to share is the most familiar presence in the entire Inquisition even if he does shit on the Dalish constantly and so Alaris kind of lowkey assigns him the role of hahren and surrogate father/older brother, mostly accidentally. Solas for his part mostly reciprocates even if he's not sure if Alaris counts as a person for a good chunk of their acquaintance. There are a few times where Alaris storms out of Solas's room when Solas says something particularly insensitive, but mostly they fit into a very comfortable, affectionate friendship. Varric is also slightly put into dad mode even if there is some tension from Varric's very centrist position on things that are life or death for Alaris and his people. And then after that it's probably Josie and Leliana, who he likes and respects even though the endless Andrastian nonsense drives him nuts. Below that they're mostly even? He absolutely avoids talking about anything personal or meaningful with Sera because if he steps away from small talk and grumbling about nobles it becomes deeply unpleasant within a couple minutes. Cassandra he tolerates; he can respect her drive, but he hates everything she stands for and only plays nice with her because he still remembers very clearly how she spent most of his first few days with the Inquisition calling him a murderer (look, he didn't actually kill the Divine even if he would have given the chance!) and threatening to kill him. And he hates Cullen. Just despises him and everything he stands for, and is also terrified of him because Alaris is a Dalish mage who's had a lot of bad experiences with Templars in general and Kirkwall Templars in particular. Cullen only survives because Alaris fears the Chantry as much as he hates it and so doesn't dare go against them openly enough to behead the commander the Divine's right hand chose for him.

1. Do they have any crafting hobbies?

Max generally likes making gifts for Daniela. I don’t know that that counts as a hobby per-say, but it is crafting, technically, and he does it often enough that it should be considered one. So I’m counting it.

Melony doesn’t really have any crafting hobbies (unless you count crafting desserts). Though she does enjoy drawing sometimes.

Using the term crafting incredibly loosely here, but Lake has made a hobby out of making/customizing skateboards for people. They just find it a nice pass time and it puts extra money in their pocket for drugs.

2. Do they wear perfume/cologne? If so what scents do they prefer?

Max doesn’t wear cologne, but he absolutely would go ham with something like Axe Bodyspray. As in, he would make himself smell like a middle school boys locker room and live his life like that isn’t an issue, and someone needs to tell him to stop. It doesn’t cover up the smell of cigarettes like he thinks it does, though.

Lake wears perfume on occasion, when they wanna feel more feminine (or forgot to shower). They’re a fan of the sweet smelling, cotton candy or vanilla-y types of perfume. Catch them smelling their own clothes because of it. (For the record, though, they also use a lot of Axe)

Melony isn’t really a perfume/cologne person. If she was, though, she’d love the flowery perfumes. Lavender and rose type of scents would be her thing. Granted, girl smells a lot like a bakery most of the time anyway.

6. If they were badly injured, and for whatever reason couldn't go to a hospital, who would they go to for help?

Melony would honestly just try to find Mia or Alcina. More likely she’d go for Mia, because Mia could probably help her more, but Alcina is lowkey a huge comfort for Melony, and if she’s really hurt she’d want that comfort.

Max has to be like… bleeding out before he tries to find help. Like “Oh, I’m going to die.” levels of injury. And even then, he’s more likely to just go into a huge panic and try to find the closest familiar face instead of someone in particular and just hope they actually help him. (Really, he’d want Daniela. But he also knows Daniela isn’t the best person to help with something like that.)

Angela would be Lakes' go-to. In fact, they have gone to Angela with nasty injuries before. It’s helped them learn to deal with broken bones at the very least, but Angela usually ends up driving them to the hospital anyway.

7. Do they have any unusual fears?

Melony’s scared of elevators. Like, “won’t get on one unless she’s forced to” kind of scared. She always feels like they’re going to break down and then she’ll be stuck on it with no way out because there’s no way to call for help, so she’d just be waiting for someone to realize it’s broken. She also thinks they feel small and cramped, and we all know how Melony feels about small spaces. (Jello is another weird fear of hers, but I’ve mentioned that before)

Lake is scared of birds. Not just geese or ostriches that are understandably kind of terrifying, but even birds like pigeons or hummingbirds. Something about the way they stare just makes Lake’s skin crawl. They find them creepy. Like, they can admire that some birds look pretty, but they don’t wanna be near them.

Max doesn’t really have any unusual fears. Though, he’s not a fan of horses. He wouldn’t classify it as a fear, more like a strange discomfort. Something about their faces and the fact they could kill you with one good kick to the head. Like, man loves animals, but horses? No.

9. When they're sick what do they do to feel better?

Melony’s wrapping herself up in a blanket like a cocoon with whatever stuffed animal she has handy. She just wants to lay there, maybe receive some cuddles if Cassandra’s willing. She really just wants to sleep when she’s sick and nothing else.

Max’d probably make some kind of comfort meal for himself. He finds hot foods/drinks help him feel better when he’s sick, so he’d most likely make himself up a grilled cheese and some nice honey tea for lunch. Then go back to ignoring that he feels like trash.

Lake is a simple person. They take a spoonful of cough syrup, call in sick to work, and proceed to stay in bed and either play video games or watch random youtube videos. They just wanna relax.

15. What kind of sense of humor do they have? Or do they have one at all?

Melony has a dominantly childish sense of humor. As in, she finds dumb jokes that only a ten year old could make to be really funny, and she’s kind of embarrassed about it. Not that she doesn’t enjoy an actual thought out joke, though.

Max is, obviously, big into dark humor. He makes dark jokes all the time. But also constent sex jokes. You can argue he either has a mature sense of humor, or the humor of a 12 year old boy, and either way you’re right.

Lake finds any kind of joke funny. As long as it isn’t offensive, and they actually understand it, anyway.

25. Do they have a daily/nightly routine?

For a morning routine, Lake typically wake-n-bakes, has a shower and brushes their teeth, throws on whatever clothes seem clean, then spends roughly an hour and a half doing their make up. Sometimes they even brush their hair. Their nightly routine is mainly just taking said make up off and occasionally taking out their piercings to clean them.

Melony doesn’t have much of a daytime routine, but at night is when she’ll have a long shower to just sort of relax from the day, throw on a nightgown (or one of Cass’s old shirts. Whatever she grabs), say her prayers to Miranda like a good child, and at that point she’s basically ready for bed.

Max doesn’t have much of a routine at all.  He just kind of wakes up and exists with no rhyme or reason.

31. What superpower would you choose for them and what would they choose for themselves? If they have one would they choose something else?

If I could give them superpowers; I think I’d give Melony super strength, for the pure comedy of this tiny woman being able to lift a boulder, Max would get like.. Miranda level shapeshifting, for no particular reason I just think he’d like to freak people out with it, and Lake would get like… spider powers. Because I think they’d enjoy climbing walls and being able to make webs.

If they could choose their powers; Melony would pick invisibility, so she could just disappear when she got overwhelmed. Max would probably pick shapeshifting, if not to fuck with everyone then at the very least to get rid of his dysphoria (and maybe use it for sexy time idk). And Lake would pick pyrokinesis, solely so they don’t have to worry about finding their lighter all the time.

49. Do they have trouble keeping their enemies and their friends straight?

Melony doesn’t, but she also doesn’t have a lot of enemies. The only people she really would classify as an enemy are people who have seriously hurt her, or people she cares about, so there’s only like… 3 or 4 people on that list. And it’s very easy for her to tell who her friends are.

For the most part, Max is pretty good at telling his enemies apart from his friends. Really his main struggle at this point is telling if Cassandra and Alcina still count as an enemy to him or not. He wouldn’t consider them friends, but they haven’t been horrible to him either. But their relationships are still complicated. Other than that, he has no problems telling one from the other.

Lake can’t always tell when someone’s their enemy. They understand that people are shitty sometimes, but they can’t always tell when they’re being led on just to be made fun of. They like giving people the benefit of the doubt and it can cloud them knowing the difference between someone making a friendly jab at them, and someone using them for a joke. Not that Lake has a lot of enemies anyway, but still, they’ve gotten hurt by it.

50. What is your favorite thing about them?

For Max, it has to be his character development. My boy went from “Random Maid to ship Daniela with” to having a whole ass personality/backstory/justifiable reasons to be standoffish towards the family. He’s got substance to him now instead of just being the angry person playing off Daniela’s personality. And I’m very proud of him for it.

Lake, honestly, it’s the design. I love it. Their hair, and the make up, and the piercings, the fact they’re as tall as Bela, they look how I wish I look and I love that for them. I also just like the blue and black colour palette they kind of have going on.

I don’t think I really have a favourite thing about Melony. If I have to pick, though, I think it might also be her design. Specifically the face. I like that she’s got a soft face, and I like her eyes, and her freckles. But I really love her as a whole.

Kas

My boy is absolutely a scug, there is no doubt in my mind. I think he is somewhat aligned with Artificer, both in morals and powers, but rather than explosions, it's probably similar to Centipede electric. He's a bit faster than your average scug, and can wall-jump well. I also think, to reflect his wild magic, his electricity has a small chance to misfire which will stun him rather than whatever he's trying to stun, and the chance is higher the lower his Karma level is. Karma 10 has no chance, Karma 1 has maybe a 1/3 or 1/2 chance, with the others being evenly dispersed between. I also think he frequently terrorizes visits the local Iterator and fucks with old Ancient tech, either finding or building a mechanical lizard, probably with similar abilities to a Cyan. My girl Smoothie :]

Because my brainrot is incredibly high, I also think Jericho is a scug in this AU. They'd probably have the same spear-dual-wielding ability that Spearmaster has, and would be able to poison their spears with something like Spitter Spider/Red Lizard venom, able to slow down and stun anything they hit. They probably also have the high backflip from Riv.

Maybe the Local Iterator (tm) is Zep. Iterator Eve & Adem in the same local group. Idk what Frog would be. Maybe a Blue/Yellow Lizard? Dunno.

I don't think Kas would be able to ascend, at least if Jericho was alive. He wouldn't be able to let go of that attachment, and the ascension would fail. If he lost Jericho, it might be able to happen, but I also think he could just as easily get consumed by sadness/anger/grief, which would also make it difficult to properly ascend.

Eries

She's an Iterator. She is very similar in demeanor to Moon, but I think she is a few degrees more... questionable. She's probably a newer-gen Iterator, not really being around much during the Ancients' time before the Mass Ascension. In the campaign, she is a paladin dedicated to the Goddess of Death, and my way of translating that into RW lore would be giving her an obsession with Karma and The Cycle. Rather than trying to find a Solution to The Cycle, I think she would find a way to bend the rules of her programming to do more research on The Cycle, and how it works. As an Iterator, she wouldn't be able to experience The Cycle herself, but she'd know from her database that it exists, so I think she'd want to understand why it exists and how it works. She's not really trying to find a way to die/ascend like most Iterators, just trying to better understand the world, and the reason why death and ascension work the way they do.

As for other characters, the Pantheon are Ancients/Echos. Clover is another Iterator in Eries' local group, but his can is infected with Rot. Everyone else I'm not really sure. Eries would probably have a pet scug that she uses to study The Cycle.

Glory

They are an untethered Iterator, their can abandoned/collapsed. They have a pet Blue Lizard, aka Bluebell, and they travel around doing research on Ancient civilization.

Cypress

He's a scug similar in vibe to Monk. No real special powers, gets along with animals easier, etc. He probably has several pet Lizards.

Misc.

I didn't really have any solid ideas for Darcy and Lilac, so they're getting left out of this one rip. This does have me thinking Very Hard about both Kas and Eries tho. Lowkey wanna draw them in this AU now. This was very fun, good question :]

ㅤno, their childhood was not a good time (i have a separate headcanon post with some of it sort of sketched out). a lot of unfortunate circumstances that would snowball with continued bad luck, no real stability or consistent support, a lot of struggle regarding their gender & their presentation of it, and a fair amount of abuse. their childhood held a lot of trauma that they haven't even tried to address.

byan's most fond childhood memories are tied to watching magical girl anime on weekend mornings — lowkey, that's their happy place. if they're having a real bad time these days, they'll sit themself down and bingewatch their favourites. they have a some other fond memories though, like the first time they stood up for another kid that was getting picked on and how the kid thanked them with a hug, or the first time they had a foster parent who was really supportive of their preference for wearing girl's clothes and actually took them shopping for some because their wardrobe was still mostly boy's clothes at the time.

as for bad memories... those make up the majority of what they remember from their childhood. if i'm to give one example though... when they were eight, byan ran away from a foster home for the first time. the father was abusive to them for the ways they expressed themself and, after a physical altercation where they tried to fight back and ended up afraid for their own life... they ran. with nowhere to go, however, they had to try to survive on the street, which was a frightening experience on its own. they can still very vividly recall that ever-present feeling of fear, the way the cold would sink into their bones overnight when they were curled up in an alley or on a park bench, and the pain of hunger that they couldn't get rid of and only grew until they found themself wolfing down a meal at a homeless shelter despite the dread of them possibly being found there and sent back to their foster home. arguably, this was one of the worst moments in their life. there were several times during the few weeks they were out there where they were sure they were going to die. the first time they woke up to a stranger with questionable intent looming over them was during this time too, which served as the beginning of many issues with feeling safe in their sleep.
