Gil-galad, the High King of the Noldor, was a man of unwavering dignity, measured composure, and effortless authority. He had faced the horrors of war, commanded armies, and carried the weight of his people’s future on his shoulders. But this? This was an entirely different kind of battlefield—one he was not entirely sure how to navigate.
You were sitting across from him in a quiet, candlelit chamber, lounging with a playful smirk as you leaned in just slightly, eyes glinting with mischief. The moment was slow, deliberate, and laced with unmistakable intent. “You know,” you drawled, tapping your fingers lazily against your knee, “I find it so incredibly attractive when a real man sits with confidence. That sort of effortless strength, that presence.” Your gaze flickered down to his posture before meeting his eyes again. “Manspreading, as they call it—it’s just… undeniably sexy.”
You let the words settle, let them wrap around the space between you like an unspoken challenge. Gil-galad, ever composed, regarded you with that same inscrutable expression he so often wore, his blue eyes calm, steady, unreadable. But you knew better. There was a flicker—something sharp and assessing beneath his otherwise unshaken exterior.
His posture was, as always, one of controlled grace: poised, upright, his long legs set in their usual disciplined stance. For all his power and battle-hardened might, he had always held himself with a reserved, gentlemanly restraint. But then you tilted your head, feigning disappointment. “Oh?” you mused, dragging the moment out just a little longer, letting your voice dip into something softer, teasing. “Perhaps I was mistaken. If it makes you uncomfortable, I suppose you can just—sit like a woman then.”
The silence that followed was weighted. Gil-galad’s brows lifted, just barely—so subtly that if you weren’t watching him closely, you might have missed it. A dangerous, amused glint flickered through his gaze, a silent acknowledgment that he had heard you. Understood you. And more importantly—accepted your challenge. Slowly, deliberately, he leaned back in his chair, his broad shoulders shifting as he settled in. And then—oh. There it was.
His legs, once held in their disciplined stillness, stretched apart with the kind of self-assured ease that only a king—a warrior—could exude. He did not break eye contact with you, not once. His chin lifted ever so slightly, the corner of his lips curving in the faintest, most imperceptible smirk. “Better?” he asked, his voice a rich, measured baritone—calm, unbothered, but laced with undeniable amusement. Your heart skipped. Your breath caught. Damn him.
You swallowed, fighting to keep your composure, but the heat of his gaze, the sheer power behind something so deceptively simple, had your confidence faltering for just a fraction of a second. But Gil-galad had already seen it. Had already noted it. He tilted his head, voice dipping just slightly lower. “I would not wish to disappoint.” And oh, he knew exactly what he was doing.

The grand halls of the Woodland Realm are bathed in flickering candlelight, casting long shadows along the polished stone floors. Thranduil sits on his carved throne, exuding his usual air of elegance and cool detachment, legs crossed in the precise, refined way befitting a king of his stature. His silver-blond hair cascades over his shoulder, and his fingers rest idly on the arm of his throne, tapping ever so slightly, as if entertained by some private thought.
You stand before him, arms folded, a teasing smile curling on your lips. You tilt your head, voice dripping with playful mischief as you lean just slightly into his space. “You know,” you begin, letting your tone drop into something lower, sultrier, “I find it incredibly sexy when a real man knows how to sit properly.” His eyes flick to yours, the faintest arch of a pale brow the only sign of interest. You press on, emboldened.
“Just taking up space, comfortable, powerful—none of that delicate, crossed-leg posture.” You let your eyes deliberately drop, sweeping over his seated form, before looking back up with a knowing smirk. “But if you’d rather sit like a lady, by all means.” A slow blink. A pause. The room seems to still. For a moment, you almost think he won’t react. That maybe you’ve gone too far. And then—
A breath of amusement escapes him, a sound so soft you barely catch it, but the shift in his expression is unmistakable. His lips curl, the barest hint of a smirk forming at the edges. “Is that so?” His voice is smooth, touched with something dark and edged with a quiet, regal arrogance. He regards you as if you are an amusing puzzle, a piece on a board he has just decided how to move. Then, with slow, deliberate ease, he moves.
He uncrosses his legs, his boots scraping lightly against the stone floor as he spreads his knees apart, his entire posture shifting from poised refinement to something far more deliberate. His arms drape over the armrests, his fingers curling idly against the polished wood. His silver cloak pools around him, but nothing hides the way he now takes up space—owns it. His piercing gaze locks onto yours, daring, taunting.
“Like this?” His voice is deceptively casual, but the challenge in his eyes is unmistakable. Your mouth runs dry. His smirk deepens, a flash of satisfaction in his sharp features as he takes in your reaction. Oh, he knows exactly what he’s doing.“Strange,” he muses, tilting his head just slightly, his silky hair shifting with the motion. “For someone so eager to make such a bold request, you suddenly seem at a loss for words.”
The amusement in his voice is infuriating, his arrogance almost unbearable—and yet, your heartbeat quickens. “Well?” he presses, one elegant brow lifting. “I have done as you asked. Are you pleased, meleth nîn?” He is toying with you. And you realize, with no small amount of exasperation, that once again, Thranduil has flipped the game in his favor.

The flickering candlelight casts a golden glow over Elrond’s study, the air thick with the scent of aged parchment and ink. He sits in his high-backed chair, elegant and composed, one leg crossed over the other with effortless grace, his long robes falling in perfect lines. His hands rest lightly on the armrests, a tome open before him, though his keen eyes are now fixed on you.
You lean forward, the corner of your lips curving with playful intent. “You know,” you murmur, voice laced with mischief, “I find it incredibly attractive when a real man—” you let the words stretch, your gaze flicking downward, ”—spreads his legs like he owns the room.”
A beat of silence. His brow arches, imperceptibly at first, but enough for you to catch the flicker of intrigue behind his cool, knowing gaze. Elrond is not a man easily rattled, nor one to be drawn into games he has not already chosen to play. “Is that so?” he finally says, his tone as measured as it is amused. He does not look away, nor does he move yet, simply studying you with the patience of one who has lived far too long to be goaded so easily.
You tilt your head, doubling down, dropping hints like they are too obvious to be ignored. “Mmm, yes,” you hum, dragging a fingertip idly along the wooden arm of your chair. “Something about the confidence, the power of it…” You let your voice dip, eyes heavy with suggestion. “Of course, if you prefer, you can just sit like a lady—” You gesture vaguely, a teasing little smirk playing on your lips. “All tucked in, neat, reserved… delicate.”
And that does it. His gaze sharpens—subtle, but unmistakable. A slow inhale, measured, controlled. There is no offense in his expression, no flash of irritation—only something deeper, something laced with challenge. Then, with deliberate ease, he moves.
The shift is unhurried, as if he is humoring you, yet entirely in control of the moment. The crossing of his legs unravels first, long and fluid, robes parting ever so slightly as he lets himself settle differently into his seat. His right leg extends forward, his left falling open with just enough space to exude something unmistakably, undeniably masculine. It is not crude. It is not exaggerated. It is simply Elrond, composed yet undeniably powerful in his presence, now taking up more space with quiet confidence.
He watches your reaction, searching, analyzing, measuring if you are truly satisfied—or if you have merely played yourself into his hands. “There,” he says at last, his voice dipping just slightly, a thread of something almost teasing beneath his composed exterior. “Does this please you?” And yet, even as he humors you, there is something in his gaze that warns—this moment, this game? You may have started it. But Elrond, ever the strategist, ever the lord, will always be the one to finish it.

The forge is warm, the dim glow of enchanted lanterns casting flickering shadows against the walls. Celebrimbor sits at his workbench, carefully polishing the filigree on an intricate silver ring. His brow is furrowed in deep concentration, hands steady despite the hours he’s spent working. You, however, are feeling playful.
Sauntering over, you lean against the bench, just within his line of sight, arms folded under your chest as you smirk at him. He glances up briefly, giving you a soft smile before returning to his work. That won’t do. You take a step closer, tilting your head. “You know,” you begin, voice slow and teasing, “I find it super sexy when a real man sits with his legs spread—relaxed, confident.” Your gaze deliberately drops to his posture. “Not all… prim and proper.”
At first, Celebrimbor doesn’t react, his expression unreadable. Then, his hands still. His grip tightens ever so slightly around the ring he’s holding. His ears twitch—a telltale sign that your words have reached him, that they’re settling somewhere deep. You swear you can see the tips darken with color.
He exhales through his nose, setting the ring down with exaggerated patience, as if carefully considering his next move. His sharp silver eyes flick to you, and his lips press together in thought. You recognize that look—his mind is working through a dozen possibilities, weighing propriety against the sheer fact that you clearly want this from him. “…Is that so?” His voice is smooth, but there’s a slight tension beneath it.
You nod, grinning. “Mmmhmm. Nothing more attractive than a man who knows how to take up space.” You give him a pointed look before adding slyly, “But if you’d rather sit all neat and closed off like a lady—” that does it His pride flares visibly—his shoulders straighten, and his jaw tightens just a little. A challenge. He cannot let that slide. There’s a second where he hesitates, visibly torn between flustering under your teasing and proving you wrong. But then, with measured deliberation, he leans back against his seat and spreads his legs.
The shift is subtle at first—one knee tilts outward, then the other, until his thighs are comfortably apart, his usual composed posture discarded in favor of something looser, more assured. His arm drapes over the back of his chair, fingers curling against the wood. His chest rises with a slow inhale, as if settling into it.
His sharp gaze locks onto yours. “Like this?” His voice is quieter now, lower, with an edge of amusement. Your heart gives an embarrassing little flutter. Damn. He really committed. But you’re not about to let him know that. Feigning an exaggerated once-over, you hum in approval, arms still crossed. “Not bad. Almost convincing.”
He lets out a breath—something between a laugh and a scoff. Shaking his head, he finally looks away, as if suddenly realizing what he just did. His fingers tap against the chair, and his ears are still slightly pink. “You are impossible,” he murmurs, but he doesn’t move from his new position. You grin, victorious. “And you love it.” He huffs a quiet laugh, shaking his head as he picks his ring back up. But even as he resumes working, his posture remains loose—legs still spread, just for you.

I would like your opinion on something! So for the chain by themselves, we know at least some of them (cough cough Time and Twilight cough cough) are family oriented and want to have their own with kids, right? And even more so for yandere chain. Because a baby would just bind you guys together even more, right? But like… what if darling can’t/wont have kids?
I was writing when that thought occurred to me. I was trying my hand at yandere stuff myself. My OC has severe trauma related to pregnancy that ended in the death of her only child. So she turned off her ability to conceive (magic~) and made the decision to never have another child. (I’d like to say that she’s an amazing aunt/godmother tho.)
So yeah, from the yandere Chains pov… how would they react to their darling not wanting/can’t have children? Especially if it was trauma related?
AHHH OMG TOTALLY!! This is actually a really cool concept and I got almost a little too into it with the whole yandere dynamic. It’s been so long since i’ve made any yan! content, so I hope it’s good by you :]
Synopsis: Yan!Chain’s darling doesn’t want kids and they all deal with this in their own varying *totally* normal ways.
warnings n’ such: Cringe links, Yandere, mentions of murder, light baby trapping, use of trauma as ammo, potentially disturbing content
Tumblr media
You see, the best thing about Yanderes is that their top priority is and always will be their darling. You want steak for dinner? He’ll kill the cattle. You want a house? He’ll fell the trees, cut the lumber, build you a house that they know all the hiding spots. You want a family? You’ll have however many kiddos you want running around, giggling as they weave through your feet.
Of course, naturally, the family life is what most Yanderes want because it gives them control. It gives them an opportunity to show how good they are. To flaunt their happy family to the world, to obsess over being the perfect lover and parent, to show you just how good they are.
And You can’t exactly leave (at least not easily) once you have a family. And especially not when everyone knows you’re the lucky spouse to the hero.
So flipping this dynamic to where this isn’t the case definitely complicates things a little. I see things splitting in a few ways depending on what their darling is comfortable with… at least with some varying degrees (given that some yan!links are bound to be more controlling than others) Still, at the end of the cycle, it’s your word that they hang onto as gospel
Pseudo adoption
(Twilight, Sky, Time, Legend, Warriors, Courage, Koridai, Mayybe Four)
This would ideally be in the situation where their lover is either healed from their trauma to the point they’re comfortable being close with children. This is either being the village babysitters, or just flat out picking up a child off the side of the road to, *ahem*, “foster” until they find a home. (Yeah that child is not leaving.)
The whole idea behind this one is more for the yandere’s own self assurance that he is of service to and close to you. He is the image of a doting husband and father, waiting at your beck and call, hand and foot, every syllable of every word, to make sure that you are content and not leaving. It’s more for himself and for the perception of being your one and only rather than actual care for whatever it is you’re looking after.
Maybe, in some fucked up way, he doesn’t care as much because the kiddos aren’t his, and doesn’t have that same weight tying you down. But that’s depending on just how dark we’re making our yanderes.
I’m really extreme, fixated cases, I can imagine them going off the rails and flat out killing the parents of some child you felt close with so he could swoop in and have a perfect happy family. I only really see this for Twilight and Time, though, and maybe Sky if he’s at his limit.
Fur babies
(Wild, Legend, Sky, Time, Twilight, Maybe Hyrule)
As the name implies, you are now the owner of several dogs/cats/birds/snakes/lizards/horsies/ordonian goats. Slightly different than lightly kidnapping children, this one is a little more involved than simply babysitting. Where the last solution focuses more on the yandere’s own need to prove his worth to you and the perceived family to others— this is more in alignment with him trying to actually foster a family relationship in some sort of way.
He can’t raise a child, but you both to love and care for some amount and form of animal, and you bet your ASS that pet will be the best cared for. Pampered. Best food, brushed daily, best bedding, all the pets, you name it. Vicariously, that pet will become the closest thing to a child you can effectively think of to fill any voids left behind in his heart.
He’s also not naïve to the fact that a pet is something you’re emotionally attached to, and thus has value.
It makes you happy, it keeps you around, and it makes you a team.
An animal makes it harder for you to leave.
And on top of that, the idea that it’s valuable because of your attachment to it opens the door to the idea which that pet also doesn’t matter to the yandere in question. He only keeps it around because it amuses you, even if he doesn’t see why. Afterall, he only loves his Darling.
But again, that’s darker au and stuff you take as you please.
Perfectly happy having you to themselves
(Hyrule, Legend, Wild, Four, Warriors, Courage, Koridai, Maybe Time)
I personally left this to the most possessive of the yanderes or the ones who I would imagine wouldn’t want kids to begin with. This has varying levels of toxicity.
On one hand, he’s perfectly happy keeping you to himself. Sure, some kids for the sake of convenience or closeness wouldn’t hurt, but this is fine too. You probably won’t be able to work through the trauma (if there’s trauma, there doesn’t have to be) that led you to no longer wanting children, as your obsessive doting husband gushes about how glad he is that it’s just you and him. Guilt is the name of the game. He wants you to himself. And he sure as hell ain’t sharing if he doesn’t have to.
(Hyrule, Four, Courage, Koridai)
And for those who didn’t really want kids to begin with, things are certainly much tamer. You might actually have a chance to work though your trauma (if any). And if, later down the line, you decide that maybe you want kiddos, congratulations, he’ll probably do a full 180 on the no kids.
The only real risk with this is that the longer and less careful you are with him, the more likely he is to switch to possessive type. And in THAT case, i’m sorry. I truly am. If you confided in him your trauma, that is absolutely ammo. And he will 100% bring up the ‘dream’ you’d built together of growing old just the two of you.
Basically, there’s a chance he’ll become the former, just so much worse and so much more overbearing.
(Legend, Warriors, Wild, Four)

Linked Universe Links as People at a Roller Rink
I do roller skating, and last night when I got home this overtook me.
--- --- --- --- ---
Warriors: does choregraphed roller dance in the middle to whatever music is playing. when he's not going that, he's doing fancy tricks just out on the rink.
Wind: one of the little kiddos just having a good time, may cut you off if not paying attention.
Time: used to work at a roller rink, is the old man just having a good time, casually pulling fancy moves to get around crowds.
Legend: is that fucker wearing rollerblades/hj
Hyrule: he's flailing at the sides, he's never done this before and he's trying his best.
Sky: the sweet guy who tries to help you if you can't skate. don't be creeped out, he's trying to help. will chat you up while you're sitting out getting water.
Twilight: He's also there to help you, but he's the guy who helps you up when you fall and will ask you if "yer okay?" cheers at the end of the night and is really good at skating backwards.
Wild: Used to or currently does roller derby, goes really fast. watch out for him. if he's feeling lazy he just uses the walls or railing to stop. (aka loud boom from wild hitting the wall)
Four: he requests songs like all hell. I hope you like his music tastes because he's in control. if he can't he just puts on headphones and vibes to his own music.

Lmao, no shade to Roller Bladers, we love y'all!

Between Teeth, Between Claws, Between Them - Chapter 9 - Leona Kingscholar x Reader x Ruggie Bucchie
Sometimes actions speak louder than words. Sometimes words are just as powerful as actions.
(Masterlist: here)
(Link to AO3: Between Teeth, Between Claws, Between Them - Angel_Ashido - Twisted-Wonderland (Video Game) [Archive of Our Own])
༺═────────────═༻
In a bout of evening absentmindedness, your feet had guided you to the coliseum, where a few stragglers were practising their flying. The team’s practice should have finished earlier, but Epel and a few others you recognised as fellow first-years were doing laps around the field.
“Need something?”
Leona was by the coliseum’s entrance, leaning against the railing. While his posture was relaxed, his eyes were sharp and alert; a warrior resting, yet ready for battle.
“No,” you replied. “I was just out walking.”
Savanaclaw’s housewarden made a sound of acknowledgement, before turning back to his teammates. He watched them execute loops and sharp turns, giving you ample time to study him. You noted how his jaw tightened every so often, how his brows would furrow, how he would release a breath and then ease back to neutrality…
You couldn’t hear his thoughts, but you suspected that these movements were punctuating them.
“They’ve been improving,” Leona decided. “If they keep getting better, Ruggie’ll have to start worrying.”
“Really? I thought that Ruggie was a good player.”
Leona shrugged. “He is. But he spends his time running around after other people. These guys are staying late to secure their spots in next year’s interdorm. Some are vying for a place in the interscholastic tournament. It’s all pie in the sky for them, but it keeps them busy.”
You were about to point out that Ruggie spends most of his time running after Leona, but you bit your tongue. Leona seemed rather wistful - he didn’t need to be brought down. Instead, you scooted toward him, until you were standing shoulder-to-shoulder.
“Even if they don’t make the cut, it won’t be a total waste.”
Leona nudged closer to you, pressing his bicep into your arm. “What? Because they’ll have made friends along the way or somethin’?”
“Because they seem happy,” you pointed out. “And they’re doing something they enjoy. I think that makes it worthwhile.”
“You would think that… Saccharine sweet, as always, herbivore.”
“Hey now,” you chastised with a smile. “You know that I can be sour.”
The two of you fell into a companionable silence once more, looking up at the first-years. Until Leona spoke, yet again.
“You’re real good at pretending things’re fine. It’s pretty impressive. Frustrating that nobody else seems to see through it, though.”
You stood a little straighter at that.
“I don’t think I’m good at it… It’s more like everyone else is self-absorbed around here. Or a bit…” You struggled to find a delicate way to phrase it, but then realised that you were talking to Leona, and that it didn’t matter. “Dumb. They either don’t notice, or don’t care.”
Leona let out a short laugh, lips curving upward. “Hm. You’re right about that. Idiots, the lot of them.”
“It’s… not been easy, but having you and Ruggie makes it easier. I have my friends, too. They can be a pain, but they look out for me in their own ways. It could be a lot worse, y’know?”
“Guess the glass is always half full with you.”
You shook your head. “No, it’s not. Sometimes I have doubts. I get really worried that I’m not doing things well enough, or that I’ll end up all alone in the end. Sometimes I think that people only like me because I’m a novelty, or because they feel sorry for me… But then I remember who I’m with, and that they aren’t like that.”
Leona turned to you, jaw tight again. You reached up and tapped it.
“Unclench that. I’m doing alright just now. No need to break your teeth.”
He rolled his eyes, but did as you said. “It’s… not easy to hear you talk like that.”
“Then let’s not talk about it,” you suggested.
“It’s worse to see you keeping it bottled up.” Leona shook his head. “Pretending things aren’t the way they are is pointless.”
“Dwelling on it isn’t any good either.”
Leona’s tail flicked at that.
After a moment of careful consideration, he said, “For as long as I live, you’ll never be alone here. So… There’s no need to worry about things like that.”
The importance of such a declaration was not lost on you. When you snapped your head to look at him, surprise coursing through you like a shot of adrenaline, you realised that Leona Kingscholar was blushing.
The sincerity of his words and the bashfulness of his very being hit you, turning you into a similarly red mess. “T-That’s…”
“It’s not up for negotiation.”
“I wasn’t going to negotiate. It’s just… Really nice of you.”
His face twitched, and he looked away from you.
“Guess you probably don’t think I’m a good guy. After everything, I get it… ‘Cause it’s true, no matter how you look at it. I’ll never be good, not the way that my brother is. I’ll never be a good prince and I’ll probably never be a good partner… I’ll either play dirty, or I won’t play at all. There’s a lot better than me out there… But until you find them, I’ll watch out for you.”
All you could do was blink, breathe, and process Leona’s words.
“You think you’re really smart, don’t you, Leona Kingscholar?” Your fingers felt numb all of a sudden. “You’re not immune to being dumb.”
He looked down at you with those bright green eyes of his, pushing you to continue. Daring you to continue.
“You’ve never gone against my will, or tried to push me to do anything. You’ve been kind to me, and you’ve looked out for me, and you’ve offered to keep looking out for me.” You took a steadying breath. “When you did the wrong things, it was to look out for your dorm members. I know that now. You’re not perfect, but you’re not a bad person. Not to me.”
“What if you’re wrong?” he asked, voice lacking in punch, as though he had been running. “What will you do then?”
“If I woke up someday and thought to myself, ‘Leona’s kind of a bad person’... I guess I’d try to steer you in a better direction. But ‘badness’ is relative. I believe that you can do a bad thing and not be a bad person.”
His eyes narrowed in challenge. “And if I did a bad thing?”
“Everybody does. To me, intention matters. And so does self-awareness. More than regret, which might seem odd.”
“That does seem odd.” Then, seeing straight through you, he asked, “Have you always felt that way?”
You suddenly felt very aware of your tongue, and the dryness growing within you.
“No.” The admission felt weighted. “I used to think that if someone hurt somebody else, it made them a bad person. That being ‘good’ was just common sense. But since coming here, I’ve realised that it’s a lot more complicated than that.”
“Was it seeing me overblot that made you feel like that?” Leona asked, arms folding across his chest.
“I guess that was part of it. But when I saw Riddle finally crack… It made me think about things.” As the darkness began to close over the field, the air around you grew colder. It would be winter soon.
“At first, when I saw how controlling he was, and how miserable he was making people, I thought that he was an awful person. I thought that he deserved to be punished in some sort of way. Then he overblotted and I realised that things weren’t so straight forward. I could feel his pain in the air, like it was my own. The emotions that he had been repressing, the wants that he couldn’t fulfil… It made me sick to my stomach. Then the same happened to you. I could taste the hopelessness, the way you wanted to close your eyes and keep them that way. And I realised that people do things for all sorts of reasons, and that bad circumstances don’t make someone evil.”
“So you pitied me and you pitied the pipsqueak?”
You mustered up a half-hearted glare at that.
“That’s what you got from that?” Typical. “If acknowledging the complexity of your circumstances and caring about you is pitying you, then I guess I did. If that’s a stab to your pride, you just have to deal with it. I care about you, Leona, and that’s not changing any time soon.”
The first-years began their descent, congregating at the center of the field.
“You’re real weird for a herbivore,” Leona said. “I guess that’s why I like you so much. I’ve never met anybody like you before.”
What should have been an offhand comment made your heart stutter. Whether it was caused by the direct, entirely earnest confirmation that Leona Kingscholar liked you, or the hint as to why he did, you were unsure.
While that light, fluttery feeling made you want to curl into yourself, it also made you want to push further.
“Then… Would it be weird to say that I could happily spend the rest of my life with you and Ruggie?” you asked.
“Extremely weird. You’ve only known us for a couple of months.” He seemed to toy with his next words before letting them loose. “But… I like the sound of that.”
The first-years made their way to the changing rooms. Leona glanced around the coliseum, and then turned to you with a dangerous look in his eyes.
“C’mere. Follow me.”
You did so without a protest. Leona led you to a small, hidden room filled with sports equipment. He disappeared into it.
“Should I be scared..?” you asked into the room, the question echoing.
“Whatever you’re thinking, get your mind out of the gutter,” Leona called back.
You smiled to yourself. “I said nothing gutter-worthy.”
Leona emerged holding a broom.
Your smile morphed to a frown. “My janitorial days are over.”
He sighed. “I’m not asking you to clean up. I’m asking you out on a joyride.”
You almost asked if it was safe, before realising that there was no safer person to ride with. Ruggie would probably drop you for the fun of it. Leona, however, had a reputation as a skilled flyer to uphold.
“Alright. It’s… getting a bit cold, though.”
“So demanding… Hold this, would ya?”
Leona shoved the broom towards you and went back into the room. This time he exited it with a bundle of black and purple fabric in his arms. He took the broom from you and tossed the bundle toward you. When you unfolded it, you realised that it was a jacket… A very spacious jacket.
“Thanks,” you half-shivered, pulling it on.
It felt comically large, mostly thanks to the billowing sleeves. You couldn’t imagine trying to play sports in the thing, but it made you warm despite the openness of the garment.
“Does it have some sort of magic in it?”
“Yeah, ancient magic. It’s called bein’ comfy,” Leona deadpanned. He flipped the broom in his hand and positioned it, ready for take-off. “C’mon, get on the back of the broom and try not to complain much. Make sure you hold on, too. If you fall it’s your own fault.”
“And they say romance is dead…” you mumbled to yourself as you met his demands.
When you had wrapped your arms around Leona’s torso, using it as an anchor, the broom took off. It was nothing like when Grim lifted a broom into the air; it was smooth and effortless, as though you were moving through a dream. Leona guided the broom into the dusky sky, lifting you to the highest point of the coliseum.
When you glanced down at the ground your arms tightened, the lack of support making your muscles turn rigid.
“Haven’t you ever heard of not looking down?” Leona quipped without looking back. “You’re so tense I can feel it.”
You pressed closer to the broad expanse of his back, feeling the wind stinging against your exposed face.
“Aren’t you cold?” you had to yell to Leona.
“No. I’m using a spell to regulate my body temperature.”
If he could do that, then what was the point in the coat..? Actually, I’m not going to ask. The answer’s obvious.
Leona flew forward, away from the coliseum and across the main campus. Everything looked tiny from the sky, like little figurines. As cliche as it sounded, it really did make your problems seem small… But perhaps that was due to the company more than anything else.
He cared about you; of that much you were certain.
You relaxed into him through the journey, trusting him to set the pace and guide the broom.
“Hey, Leona?” you said, moving closer to his ears so that he could hear you.
“Hm?”
Your heart thundered. There was no way that he couldn’t feel it.
“Would it be weird if I told you that I love you?”
The broom shuddered for the first time since take-off.
Leona had it under control before you could register the disruption.
“Yeah,” he said, the sound rumbling through you. “It is weird. Do I need to point out again that we met a couple of months ago?”
“I know. But it doesn’t change how I feel. You don’t have to feel that way too. I… just wanted you to know. Sorry if that’s… awkward.”
“It’s fine,” Leona responded, quick as an arrow. “I don’t think I’ve used the word ‘love’ since I was a kid. So don’t go expectin’ any grandiose declarations. I’m no poet.”
“I don’t need anything fancy. All I need is for you to be there… And you’re very good at doing that.”
The two of you approached the edge of the school; Leona turned, retracing his steps… or, perhaps, retracing his glides.
“What about Ruggie?” he asked.
“It’s… strange, but I think I love him too. The way I feel about the two of you… That’s never happened before.”
“That’s… good.” Leona’s words were choked out, strung with tension. “You aren’t making this easy for me, are you?”
A sense of unfettered pride flared within you; for the first time in your little threeway game, Leona was utterly rattled by you. If only you could see the look on his face…
“Don’t tell Ruggie that I said that. I want to tell him myself. When the time’s right… Whenever that is.”
Leona chuckled. “Make sure you have chapstick when you do. He won’t let go of you after pulling something like that.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know. ‘Give him a scrap and he’ll scarf down the whole meal,’ right?”
“Heh… Looks like you’re finally learning.”
When you touched down back at the coliseum, you still felt as though you were floating. You dismounted, and got to look the lion in the eyes.
Leona’s expression was hard to read. It was… new. You hadn’t seen him make a face like it before.
The quiet was cracking under the weight of everything you both wanted to say.
“Thanks for the ride,” you tried, shrugging the coat off.
“Anytime,” Leona responded. He moved to take a step forward, and then changed his mind.
“Leona… You don’t have to be afraid with me,” you coaxed. “If you want something, tell me.”
“I’m not scared. Just…” He shook his head, making a noise that sounded like a growl. “Stand still, will you?”
You did so, watching him as he kept swithering.
A determination fell over him, and he took that step toward you. He leaned forward and pressed his forehead to yours. It hadn’t been what you were expecting, and you weren’t entirely sure what to make of it, but it seemed important to Leona, so you pressed your forehead into his.
He pulled back, face flushed once again, and took the coat from your arms.
“Goodnight,” he said, firmly.
You smiled at that. “Goodnight, Leona. See you soon.”
Feeling what could only be described as victorious, you left the coliseum with a spring in your step.
(An extra long chapter after missing a week <3 How are we feeling after that one?)

Chapter 8: A New Era: Coming Back to Sabaody
Y/N POV..
The ship gently rocked as it neared Sabaody Archipelago, the familiar sight of the bustling islands growing closer with each passing second. I stood by the rail, the wind ruffling my hair as I gazed out at the archipelago. It felt surreal that two years had flown by so quickly. The memories of our departure seemed like they had happened just yesterday.
"Y/N," John’s voice broke through my thoughts. I turned to see him approaching with a warm smile. "We’ll be arriving in Sabaody in about five minutes."
"Thank you for the update," I replied, my smile matching his. I turned back to the view, a sense of anticipation building within me.
John continued, his tone shifting slightly. "Bummer that Sam couldn’t be here. I wonder what important business he needed to attend?"
"I'm sure it’s something significant," I said, nodding. John's hand rested gently on my shoulder, offering comfort. "But he did want to give you this."
He produced a small box from his pocket and handed it to me. I carefully opened it to reveal a delicate gold anklet. My eyes widened in awe. "Sam, he really shouldn't have..."
John watched as I admired the anklet. "He also left you a letter. He wanted you to read it."
I took the letter from John, unfolding it with a mix of curiosity and excitement. The letter read:
"My dearest Y/N,
The anklet is meant to enhance your strength and agility. When you stomp your foot down, the anklet will channel the energy to give you a powerful force, a move I like to call the 'Tremor Strike.' This will give your attacks a seismic impact, useful for both offense and defense. Until we meet again, Princess.
Love, S"
I marveled at the letter, feeling a swell of emotion. Sam’s thoughtfulness was touching. I immediately unfastened the anklet and secured it around my ankle. Following Sam’s instructions, I prepared to test out the new move.
As you focused on the energy within you, the tension in the air seemed to thicken. With a deep breath, you lifted your foot, feeling the power of the anklet coursing through you.
Bringing your foot down with determined force, the ground beneath you quivered. A powerful shockwave rippled outward from the point of impact, making the boat tremble slightly. The force of the "Tremor Strike" was palpable, and you could feel the energy surge through you, confirming the effectiveness of Sam's gift.
The others on the boat watched in awe as the shockwave dissipated, leaving a faint echo of its power behind. They exchanged impressed glances, clearly taken aback by the raw strength and precision of your new move. The boat remained stable, and the ripple effect gradually subsided, showcasing the impressive impact of the Tremor Strike.
A grin spread across my face as I felt the surge of strength and control the anklet provided. "This is incredible," I said, looking at John with excitement.
"Looks like you’re having fun," a familiar voice interrupted. I turned to see the King. His old demeanor of regal formality was no longer present; instead, he was smiling warmly at me, his expression filled with genuine happiness.
"Just as we were about to dock and I was ready to get off, the King grabbed my wrists and spun me around. "Princess," he said with adoration, though there was also a hint of sadness in his eyes, as if he wished he could accompany me on my journey. I had promised him and his men that I would return and bring my friends along.
"You know I don’t like being called Princess, Your Majesty," I teased.
"I know," the King replied with a smile, "but we gifted you that title because you earned it and showed tremendous growth over the last two years. I wanted to give you these gifts."
He handed me the first gift, a beautifully crafted sword. It wasn’t just any sword—it was adorned with various gems and crystals, each one catching the light in a dazzling display.
"King, you really don’t have to. The training and staying on your island was more than enough for me," I said, overwhelmed by his generosity.
"No, but this is from me," he insisted. "You will need it if you want to be a formidable warrior, one that others will fear."
I stared at the sword in awe. "Tell me, this isn’t what I think it is!!!" I gasped.
The King’s grin widened. "Yes, Y/N. This is the 'Elemental Crescent.' We modified it to fit your needs. Each gem on the handle serves a purpose: the red gem channels fire, the blue gem channels ice, and the yellow gem channels light. This means if you ever face Kizaru again, you will be equally matched with his Devil Fruit powers. We know about your encounter with him here in Sabaody. We couldn’t believe you stood up to him, injured and all, but that’s what made you a force to be reckoned with."
He continued, "The sword is designed to be wielded by only you. If anyone tries to snatch it or use it, they’ll be shocked by a series of electrical charges. It also acts as a shield—if an enemy tries to pull a stunt, the sword will protect you until you activate it."
I couldn’t help but tease, "So, say we get hit by cannonballs—something small, you know. How will I activate the sword?"
The King chuckled. "You press on them and wield it as a regular sword. If you want to, for instance, send the cannonballs back or even destroy them, you click on the gem you wish to activate, and it’ll block the cannonball and send it right back with your chosen gem's power."
I looked up in awe, absorbing every detail. "And what’s the second gift?"
The King’s eyes twinkled as he handed me a small box. I opened it carefully, revealing two gold rings, one for each hand. My eyes widened in surprise. "Are these...?"
"Yes, they are Y/N," the King confirmed with a nod. "The ring with the chain attached is meant for your right hand. When clenched, it will give you the strength of ten men. And if you make a knuckle guard, your right hand will produce electricity, perfect for any offensive move."
I stared at the rings in awe. "But I thought—"
The King interrupted gently, "The left ring, which is meant to be worn on your pinky, has its own special function. Why don’t you try it?"
With a nod, I slipped the ring onto my left pinky. The moment it touched my skin, I felt a strange tingle that traveled all the way up my arm and down to my legs. The sensation was exhilarating.
"Now, run," the King instructed.
I dashed forward, my legs moving with a speed I had never experienced before. It felt like I was propelled by an unseen force, racing across the ground in mere seconds.
"Now jump!" the King commanded.
I leaped into the air, and to my astonishment, I felt as though I was producing a form of skywalk. I hovered momentarily before landing smoothly, my heart racing from the adrenaline and surprise.
Looking up at the King, my eyes wide, I gasped, "This is incredible! I didn’t know I could move like this!"
The King’s smile was warm and approving. "You’ve earned these gifts, Y/N. Use them well. And remember, I’ll be here cheering you on from afar. Don’t forget to visit, and bring your friends along too."
In a burst of gratitude, I ran straight towards the King, wrapping him in a heartfelt hug. “Thank you so much,” I said, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. His blush was faint but noticeable, making me giggle with a sense of satisfaction and warmth.
With a final wave, I stepped off the boat and pulled out my vivre card. Following its guidance, I set my course toward Rayleigh. As I walked away, John and the King, along with the soldiers, waved their goodbyes.
John turned to the King with a thoughtful expression. “Your Majesty, you never told Y/N what would happen if someone were to take her rings off.”
The King’s eyes twinkled with a knowing smile. “Good. Let those who try figure that out for themselves.”
He smirked as he watched me walk further away from the ship, the excitement of new possibilities ahead and the warmth of parting gifts still lingering in my heart.
Sanji POV…
I finally landed on Sabaody Archipelago, the familiar chaos of the island greeting me with a mix of nostalgia and relief. "I never thought I'd miss this place again," I muttered, a cigarette dangling from my lips. The scent of the bustling streets and the myriad of characters brought back memories of our previous visit.
As I scanned through the streets, my heart skipped a beat when I caught sight of a group of beautiful women nearby. My eyes widened in awe. "Women! Real women!" I exclaimed, my voice tinged with both excitement and longing. "How I’ve missed your delicate features, no stubble, no hairy legs—just honest-to-goodness women!"
With renewed enthusiasm, I made my way toward them, ready to proclaim my appreciation for the finer things in life. "I need lady!" I called out, my voice echoing through the street.
But before I could get too carried away, a voice stopped me in my tracks. "Sanji, dear."
The spell was broken as I turned to see one of Iva's candy men winking at me. My fantasy shattered in an instant. "Looks like this is the end, but we will meet again someday," the candy man said with a playful grin.
"Fat chance!" I retorted, annoyed. "Say hi to Iva for me, but go away!"
I dashed away from the unwelcome distraction, focusing on what really mattered. "I’m on my way, Nami, Robin, my love! Y/N, baby, your prince is finally here!" I shouted, a sense of determination propelling me forward as I made my way to reunite with my friends.
Y/N POV…
I stood in front of Shakky’s Rip Off Bar, looking up at the familiar sign. "Made it to Grove 13," I muttered to myself with a smile. The excitement of being back in Sabaody mingled with my anticipation of reuniting with familiar faces.
I glanced at my new weapons—the Elemental Crescent sword strapped securely to my back and the gold rings on my fingers. Deciding to test the pinky ring's capabilities once more, I clenched my left hand and sprinted up the steps with lightning speed. The sensation of super-speed was exhilarating, and I managed to cover the steps in record time. As I reached the top, I unclenched my hand and opened the door to the bar.
Inside, I was greeted by Shakky, who looked up from behind the counter with a warm smile. "Shakky, how are you?!" I asked, my voice full of enthusiasm.
Shakky’s eyes widened with delight as she took in my new look. "My, my, look what we have here," she said, her gaze taking in my outfit. "You’re looking fantastic. That outfit really sends a powerful message."
I couldn’t help but smile at her praise. My new outfit—a fitted cropped white shirt with three buttons casually undone, a short skirt, and ankle-heeled boots—was designed for both style and practicality. Training had sculpted my body, and my hair now reached mid-back in soft waves, a significant change from its previous length.
I remembered the advice King had given me about my hair during our training. It was one night, after a particularly grueling session, that Sam and I had a conversation about it.
Flashback:
"Your hair is becoming a liability," King had said sternly as he inspected my progress. "Enemies will grab it easily and use it against you."
I nodded, frustration evident on my face. "I understand, but I don’t want to cut it too short. It’s been a part of me for so long."
That night, sitting in the moonlit courtyard with Sam, I expressed my concerns. "Sam, I think I need to cut my hair. It’s just too much of a hindrance."
Sam looked at me with a mix of sympathy and resolve. "If that’s what you think is best, I’ll do it. Your safety is more important."
With a determined nod, I agreed. Sam carefully trimmed my hair into a bob, knowing it would grow back in time. The change was drastic, but it was a necessary step in my growth. Two years later, my hair had grown back, but now it was more manageable and suited my new style.
End Flashback:
Returning to the present, I looked at Shakky, who seemed to appreciate the change. "Training wasn’t easy, but it was worth it," I said, lightly touching my now manageable hair. "Who arrived first, if I may ask?"
Shakky smiled knowingly. "That would be Zoro."
I nearly spit out the liquor I had just sipped. "ZORO?!" I exclaimed, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand. "He barely knows where he’s heading—how did he manage to come first?" I took another sip, still in disbelief.
Shakky chuckled, clearly amused by my reaction. "Honestly, Rayleigh and I were shocked too. But yes, Zoro made it here first. Then came Nami, and you happen to be third. The others should be arriving shortly."
I nodded, a smile tugging at my lips. "Well, in that case, I’ll go find Nami. I’ve missed her so much! And while I’m at it, I’ll do some shopping along the way."
Shakky laughed softly. "I’ll let the others know you made it safely. Take care out there."
"Thank you, Shakky," I said, finishing the last sip of my drink. I placed the glass down on the counter and stood up, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation. With a final wave, I headed back out into town, eager to reunite with my crewmates and explore the bustling streets of Sabaody once more.
After finishing your shopping spree, you decided that a quick drink would be the perfect way to unwind. As you made your way to a nearby bar, the sudden sound of a gunshot from inside caught your attention, immediately setting your senses on high alert. Cautiously, you peeked inside, trying to assess the situation before making your presence known.
Inside the bar, you noticed a group of impostors pretending to be the Straw Hat Pirates. Among them was someone dressed as Luffy, while others poorly mimicked Nami, Usopp, and Franky. They were boasting loudly, claiming to be all-powerful. Your eyes narrowed as you spotted the fake Nami, a short woman, approaching the real Nami, who was sitting alone at a table. The fake Nami tried to assert her dominance, demanding that the real Nami sit with their "captain."
Rage welled up inside you, and you fought to keep your right hand from clenching. Now was the perfect time to intervene. With a calm but determined stride, you pushed open the bar doors and walked confidently inside. As you approached the real Nami, you deliberately bumped the fake Nami out of the way, sitting down next to your crewmate.
The fake Nami, clearly angered, cocked her gun and aimed it at you. "Just who the hell are you? Do you know who I am?" she sneered.
You smirked, finding her tenacity mildly amusing but far from intimidating. "No, but do you know who I am?" you replied with a hint of menace in your voice. Without waiting for a response, you clenched your right hand and delivered a powerful punch to her face, sending her flying across the room into her "crew." Smoke filled the bar as their table shattered under the impact, and they all crumpled to the ground from the force of your attack.
"Thanks, King," you muttered under your breath, unclenching your hand to deactivate the power.
Turning back to the bar, you casually asked the shaken bartender, "Can you get my friend and me a nice cocktail, please?"
Finally, you turned to face Nami, who had been watching the whole scene unfold. "Y/N!" she exclaimed, a wide smile spreading across her face.
"Hows it going, Nami!" you replied, beaming as you both embraced each other, jumping up and down in excitement. You couldn't help but admire how much both of you had grown and changed since you last saw each other.
Just as you were about to settle down, the fake Straw Hats began to stir, clearly intent on seeking revenge. You instinctively reached for your sword, ready to deal with them again, when a voice from the side called out, "Special attack Green Star—Devil!"
A plant-based creature suddenly sprang to life, attacking the fake Straw Hats with surprising force. You immediately recognized the handiwork—it was Usopp! Without hesitation, you and Nami ran over to him, wrapping him in a tight hug.
"Usopp! Look at you! You've changed so much! And those muscles!" you exclaimed, genuinely impressed.
Usopp laughed, returning the embrace. "It's great to see you guys too!"
"Let's get out of here," Nami suggested, grabbing your bags. Usopp hurried to gather his things, but not before Nami unleashed a new technique of her own, showcasing just how much she'd grown as well.
Sanji POV…
"Moss-head was here first!" I exclaimed, disbelief lacing my words as I sat down on the bar stool. I couldn’t believe it—Zoro, the guy who couldn't find his way out of a paper bag, was the first one to make it back to Sabaody. "After that came Nami, Y/N, then Franky, Usopp, and Chopper," Shakky explained, her voice calm as always.
"Y/N?" I asked, my heart skipping a beat. "She's here?!"
"Yes, she is," Rayleigh chimed in, flipping through the newspaper with a casual air. "And I have to say, she’s transformed so much since the last time we saw her."
Rayleigh continued, mentioning Brooke’s concert for the islanders and the fact that I was the last one to arrive. Almost everyone was here and safe. The only ones left were Robin and Luffy. Relief washed over me knowing the crew was slowly coming back together.
"Hey, Shakky, do you… by any chance know where I can find Y/N?" I asked, trying to sound casual even though anxiety bubbled inside me. I had something important to tell her, something I couldn't keep to myself any longer.
Shakky looked at me knowingly, a small smile playing on her lips. "She mentioned she was going to find Nami and do some shopping. I’d try looking around there."
"Perfect," I said, nodding with determination. I stood up, ready to head out, but then paused. If I was going to find Y/N, it wouldn’t hurt to stock up on some ingredients as well. After all, a good meal was always the best way to celebrate a reunion. With a plan in mind, I left the bar, my thoughts focused on finding Y/N and finally getting a chance to talk to her.
Y/N POV…
"Huh! You're kidding?" Nami's eyes widened in surprise as she listened to my story. "So you trained on an all-male island, and the king gifted you these weapons and jewels too?"
I nodded, smiling as I saw the sparkle in her eyes at the mention of jewels. "Yes, I did. But only I can wear and use them. If someone else tries, well... let’s just say they’ll regret it. The king was very clear about that," I said with a playful smirk. "But honestly, the training was worth it. King treated me really well."
Nami’s eyes gleamed as she leaned in closer, almost whispering, "Jewels, huh? And powerful ones too! You’re so lucky, Y/N!"
Usopp laughed, "Man, Sanji is going to be extremely jealous when he hears about this."
At the mention of Sanji, I halted my steps and looked down, the smile fading from my face. "Sanji, huh... He owes me a long explanation for the stunt he pulled two years ago. Don’t think I’ve forgotten," I said, feeling anger bubbling up inside me. The memories of him kissing me and then launching me at Luffy, and the sight of our friends disappearing right before my eyes, especially being the second to go—it all came rushing back.
Nami and Usopp exchanged a glance, both knowing the weight of what had happened. Nami quickly changed the subject, her tone lightening. "Let’s continue shopping! There’s so much to see!" She grinned, pulling Usopp along towards a nearby shop.
Laughing, I waved them off. "You two go ahead. I’ll walk around for a bit and catch up with you at the ship!"
As they walked off, I continued down the street, lost in thought about Sanji. What did he look like now? Had he changed, or was he still the same flirtatious cook I remembered? Just then, I bumped into something solid, stumbling backward.
Before I could fall, a strong hand caught me. "Sorry, Y/N," a familiar voice said, pulling me back into the moment.
I looked up and saw none other than Zoro standing there. "Zoro!" I exclaimed, immediately running into his arms, wrapping my legs around him as I hugged him tightly. "Oh my god, I can’t believe it’s you! You’ve gotten so strong, and you look good too," I added with a wink, feeling a bit of flirtation slip out.
Zoro smirked, returning the hug before setting me down. "Thanks. You’re looking pretty strong yourself, but you know, a certain cook might be even madder if he saw us like this."
I laughed, "Let him be mad! He has some explaining to do anyway."
Zoro chuckled, "He sure does. But I wouldn’t mind seeing him squirm a bit."
Zoro's smirk deepened as he looked at me, and I could see that familiar glint in his eyes. "You know, Y/N, you’ve really changed. Not just the hair and the weapons. There’s something different about you," he said, his voice lowering a bit as if he were trying to figure out exactly what it was.
I tilted my head, smiling. "Good different or bad different?"
"Good," Zoro said without hesitation. "Stronger. More confident. It suits you."
I blushed slightly at his words, but I couldn’t resist teasing him a little. "Careful, Zoro. If you keep saying things like that, people might think you actually care."
Zoro’s eyes followed me as I started to walk away, and I couldn’t help but add a little extra sway to my hips, just to see if I could get a reaction. Sure enough, when I glanced back, I caught him looking. His gaze quickly shifted away, but not before I saw a faint blush creeping up his cheeks.
"Enjoying the view, Zoro?" I teased, stopping in my tracks and turning to face him, a playful smirk on my lips.
Zoro’s eyes narrowed, though I could tell he was trying to play it cool. "Maybe I am. Got a problem with that?"
"Not at all," I replied, stepping closer to him, closing the distance between us. "In fact, I might even say I like it."
He raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by my boldness. "You’re playing a dangerous game, Y/N."
I leaned in just a bit, my voice dropping to a whisper. "I like a little danger. Keeps things interesting."
Zoro’s expression faltered for just a moment, his usual stoic demeanor slipping as he looked down at me. There was a heat in his gaze that sent a shiver down my spine, and I knew I’d hit a nerve. He was trying to stay composed, but I could see the crack in his armor.
"You better be careful," Zoro muttered, his voice a little rougher, "or someone might think you’re serious."
I chuckled softly, placing a hand on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath my fingertips. "Who says I’m not?"
Zoro’s breath hitched slightly, but he quickly recovered, placing his hand over mine. His touch was warm, and for a moment, I could feel the tension between us. "You’re gonna drive that cook crazy, you know that?"
I laughed, stepping back just enough to keep the tension but not break the moment. "Maybe that’s the point. Besides, a little jealousy might do him some good."
Zoro’s lips twitched into a smirk. "You’re wicked, you know that?"
"Only when I need to be," I shot back, giving him a playful wink. "But don’t worry, Zoro. I wouldn’t want to make you jealous, too."
He scoffed, but there was a light in his eyes that told me he wasn’t entirely unaffected. "I’m not the jealous type."
"We’ll see about that," I said, turning on my heel and giving him a final wave as I started to walk away. "Catch you later, Zoro. Try not to miss me too much."
Zoro chuckled, shaking his head as he watched me go. "No promises, Y/N."
I couldn’t help but smile as I watched Zoro disappear into the distance, still feeling the thrill of our little exchange. Just as I turned the corner, my eyes caught sight of a familiar white bear standing in the crowd. "Bepo?" I called out in surprise.
Bepo's ears perked up at the sound of his name, and when he saw me, his face lit up with excitement. "Y/N!" he called out, rushing over to me with his usual clumsy enthusiasm. "How are you?"
Before I could answer, Penguin and Shachi joined us, both grinning as they watched Bepo try to gather his thoughts. The big polar bear seemed unusually flustered, which only made the scene more endearing.
"Captain Law wanted me to give you these!" Bepo finally managed, holding out an arrangement of stunning roses. They were a mix of white and red, beautifully arranged with a small note tucked between the petals.
"Bepo, these are so sweet," I said, touched by the gesture. The flowers were exquisite, and I could only imagine Law’s expression as he picked them out. My fingers traced over the note, curious about what he might have written.
"Captain said they were important," Bepo added, a bit more shyly now.
curiosity got the better of me. I carefully unfolded the small note tucked between the roses, eager to see what Law had written.
Been a while since we last saw each other. Think of me every time you see these flowers. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Princess.
—Law
My cheeks immediately flushed as I read the words, the nickname "Princess" sending a wave of warmth through me. How did he... I wondered, feeling a mix of surprise and flattery. I glanced up from the note, my eyes meeting Bepo's, who was watching me with an innocent, expectant look.
"Bepo..." I began, my voice a little softer, "How did he know...?"
Bepo shifted on his feet, clearly trying to hold back his excitement. "Captain Law is very observant," he said, his voice almost a whisper, as if he was revealing a secret. "He said you might like them."
I couldn’t help but smile, my heart skipping a beat at the thought of Law thinking about me enough to send such a thoughtful gesture. "Well, he was right," I said, feeling a bit bashful. "Thank you for bringing these to me, Bepo. It means a lot."
Bepo beamed, clearly happy with the success of his mission. "I’m glad you like them, Y/N! The captain will be too!"
I took a deep breath, trying to steady the fluttering in my chest. "Make sure to tell him that, okay? And remind him that he’s going to owe me more than just flowers next time."
Bepo nodded enthusiastically, his tail wagging slightly. "I’ll tell him!"
With one last smile, I waved to Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi before turning to head back toward Grove 13, the note still clutched in my hand. The thought of Law’s words stayed with me, making me blush every time they crossed my mind. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Princess. The words echoed, making me feel both excited and a little nervous about our inevitable reunion. As I made my way through the bustling streets, I spotted Franky and Robin in the distance, already aboard the ship. They waved back at me, and I couldn’t wait to share the news of my encounters with them.
Sanji POV…
““You idiot! How did you manage to confuse ships?" I spat, blowing a puff of smoke from my cigarette. My patience was wearing thin as I glared at Zoro. "And on top of that, you cut a pirate ship in half too!"
Zoro shot me a sharp look, his hand instinctively resting on the hilt of his sword. "Hey, moron! It’s not my fault that those idiots didn’t get out of the way in time," he barked back, clearly unfazed by my anger.
"You’re such a reckless bastard," I snapped, jabbing a finger in his direction. "I swear, one of these days your brain is going to get you into a situation your swords can't fix!"
Zoro scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "At least I don’t go around drooling over every woman I see. Speaking of which, I ran into Y/N earlier."
My heart skipped a beat, and I froze, the cigarette almost falling from my lips. "You... you saw Y/N?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
Zoro smirked, clearly enjoying my reaction. "Yeah, I did. She's looking even better than before, if you can believe it. Stronger too. She even gave me a little... warm welcome, if you know what I mean." He chuckled, and I could see the gleam in his eye as he remembered the encounter. "If I didn’t know any better, I’d say she’s been thinking about me."
Jealousy flared up inside me, my grip tightening on the cigarette as I imagined him and Y/N together, flirting, laughing. My blood boiled at the thought. Y/N and Zoro? No way in hell.
"That’s it, moss-head! You want to fight? Let’s do it!" I shouted, my foot slamming down, cracking the ground beneath me. "I trained these legs on the shores of Hell for two years!
Zoro grinned, his hand gripping his sword as he took a step forward. "Oh yeah? Well, you’re gonna need those legs to start running because I’m about to cut you in half!"
The tension between us was electric, and for a moment, it felt like we might actually come to blows. But as much as I wanted to wipe that smug look off his face, a part of me held back. Y/N... would she really fall for this idiot? The thought nagged at me, making my heart ache with uncertainty. When I see her again, will it be the same as before? Or has something changed?
The bickering continued, but my mind was elsewhere, wondering if Y/N would still look at me the way she used to. Would she still smile that special smile just for me? Or had someone else already stolen her heart?
Y/N POV…
After arriving at the Sunny, I quickly made my way to Robin and Franky, hugging them tightly. "It’s so good to see you both! You’ve changed so much!” I exclaimed, taking in how much stronger and more confident they seemed.
Franky chuckled, his usual grin in place. "You’re not looking too shabby yourself, Y/N. What have you been up to?"
I laughed, glancing at the group. "Oh, just a little training and a few surprises." My eyes fell on Usopp, who was struggling to carry an impressive stack of shopping bags. I couldn’t help but laugh. "Usopp, looks like you went a little overboard, huh?"
Usopp grinned sheepishly. "Well, a guy’s gotta look his best, right?"
Nami was next, and I embraced her warmly. Just as I was about to let go, I noticed her eyes fall on the bouquet of roses next to me. Her smirk widened, and she raised an eyebrow. "So... I see you and Sanji have made up?"
I stood up from the embrace with Chopper, picking up the roses and holding them out. "Oh, these aren’t from Sanji."
Nami’s eyes widened in surprise. "They’re not?"
I shook my head, a smile creeping onto my face as a blush warmed my cheeks. "Nope, they’re actually from Law."
The group gasped in unison. "LAW?!" they exclaimed, their eyes wide with shock. Robin giggled, clearly amused by the reaction.
"Yeah," I said, trying to keep my voice steady despite the blush. "It’s been a while since we last saw each other. The note said to think of him every time I see the flowers and that he’s looking forward to seeing me soon."
Nami’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So, you and Law...?"
I shrugged, a smile tugging at my lips as I admired the beautiful roses. "Let’s just say these flowers mean a lot."
Just then, my transponder snail buzzed with an urgent message from Shakky and Rayleigh. "Luffy’s here, but so are the Marines. We need to move the Sunny to Grove 42 to catch up with him."
Franky immediately took charge. "I’ll inform Sanji and Zoro through the transponder snail I gave Sanji. We need to make sure they know where to meet us."
Chopper, who had been quietly observing, stepped forward. "I’ll help bring the remaining crew back, with some help from my friends at the Birdy Kingdom."
"I’d like to go too," I said, determination in my voice. "I want to be there for my captain and help bring the other two knuckleheads back as well."
The group agreed, and Chopper and I set off together. As we made our way to find Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro before the Marines could reach them, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement.

"Okay let's go through them again." Grace said as she started showing Jake pictures of important members of the clan.
"Mo'at the dragon lady." Jake says and Grace changes the image. "Eytucan." Jake says and Grace rolls her eyes.
"Eytukan. He's the clan leader, and she's the spiritual leader. Like a shaman." Grace tells him and shows him the next.
"Su'tey." Jake says.
"Tsu'tey." Grace corrects him.
"Tsu'tey." Jake corrects himself.
"He's the high warrior." Grace tells him and shows the next picture.
"Neytiri and (Y/n)." Jake says as he takes the tablet and looks at the picture closer.
"Of course those are the two you get right." Norm says exasperated.
"Hey focus." Grace warns Jake when she sees he's about to argue with Norm. "Neytiri is the next clan leader and (Y/n) is the next Tsahík. They become a mated pair." Grace says and Jake seems confused.
"But how will they produce the next of their line?" Jake asks and Norm decides to flaunt his knowledge.
"It's not unheard of for the leaders of the clan to have a third mate." Norm tells Jake and leans against the hand rails. "Which you would know if you had any knowledge of their customs."
"Well who has a date with both of the future clan leaders?" Jake says cheekily and Norm throws his hands up.
"C'mon man that doesn't count-" Norm says and Grace shushes them both.
"Link now. Village life starts early." She says and leans over Jake after he lays down. "Don't do anything overly stupid." Jake doesn't respond as he shuts the lid over himself. When he opens his eyes he finds a pair of eyes staring back at him.
"Come JakeSulì. I will redress your wound." You tell him and he's quick to get out of his hammock. He follows behind you getting a better look at his surroundings now that it's daytime. When you get to the healer's area you gesture for him to sit and he does as asked. You sit across from him and take his old dressings off. He watches you as you apply a salve to his wound and can't help but admire your features. Your bioluminescent freckles aren't visible in the daylight but their pattern is still captivating.
"So, you're promised to Neytiri huh?" Jake asks trying to make conversation. You look up at him and nod.
"We have been courting since we were 14 cycles. I was chosen as tsakarem at 16 cycles, and she was chosen to be the next Olo'eyktan." You tell him and he nods. You back away from him after you're finished and wash your hands off in a bowl of water and dry them off. "Come. We will eat first meal and Neytiri will take you to start your training." He gets up and follows behind you again. You squat down and so does Jake, then not long after Neytiri joins the two of you. It's quiet as the three of you eat.
After you were all finished eating Neytiri planted a kiss on the top of your head and dragged Jake behind her. You smiled softly as you watched her drag the odd uniltìranyu with her.
Later in the day Neytiri and Jake showed up and Mo'at excused you. You followed Neytiri as she led the small group into the forest. When you walked into the treeline you took a deep breath and ran your hands over a few tree trunks. Eywa's voice danced around you and your companions as she led the three of you on an unknown path. Neytiri finally stopped and sat down on a thick tree branch and you sat down next to her. You allowed your fingers to glide over the moss covering the tree bark and you smiled.
"I had (Y/n) join us to help with teaching you our language and to teach you about Eywa." Neytiri tells Jake who nods.
It had been a few months since Jake had started his training and you started to contemplate something. You were going to propose the idea of Jake being your and Neytiri's third mate. He is strong and once he started learning you found him intelligent and a quick learner. Though his reluctance to believe in the Great Mother was a questionable quality to you. Neytiri believed him ready to tame an ikran, but you voiced that you didn't think that to her. Your concern is he didn't want to learn about Eywa. She told Tsu'tey he was ready anyways and had him take him along with the other ready warriors and hunters.
When they returned and Jake had tamed an ikran you started to get an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach. Something was about to happen but you had no idea what it could possibly be. There were so many things going on in your world right now that it could be anything from an attack by the sky demons, to someone close to you dying again. Mo'at spent the better part of the evening helping to ease your growing concern. But the Great Mother had never lied to you before, so you would not start questioning her now. That night you prepared yourself spiritually for whatever it might be.
The next morning you woke up early and went to prepare healing supplies for the day with Mo'at. After first meal you sat working quietly when your curiosity got the best of you.
"Have you seen Neytiri this morning? I would like to suggest our third mate to her before we present him to you." You say and Mo'at clicks her tongue disapprovingly.
"I have not seen Neytiri today. She was not in her hammock either. I thought she might have slept in here after last night festivities, but she was not here either." Mo'at says and you got the same gut feeling that you had the night prior.
"What if what I am sensing has to do with Neytiri?" You ask Mo'at and her head shoots up to look in your eye.
"It is a possibility. We all return to the Great Mother when the time is right." Mo'at says and you nod.
"I am aware, but my fear exists in having to be given a new mate. I have fallen in love with Neytiri." You tell her and she places a hand on your arm.
"Tsu'tey is in love with Sylwanin. It is why he refused to be chosen to be the third mate. However, if it must happen he knows he is the first choice to take Neytiri's place." Mo'at says. "For both Olo'eyktan and as your mate. He holds the right to refuse our choice, as you do." It seems like she is going to continue speaking when you hear Tsu'tey shouting in the main area. You and Mo'at look at eachother then go to investigate. His hunting party returned early from their outing and you frown.
"Tsu'tey, what is the meaning of this?" You ask him and he looks over at you.
"The demons have destroyed the Tree of Voices. They flattened them to the ground and left nothing of them behind." Tsu'tey says and your hands fly to your mouth. A startled cry erupts from your throat.
"Neytiri might have been showing them to Jake now that he is one of The People." You told Mo'at quietly and you see a short moment of fear cross her features.
"We must stay here. Soon it will be your time to take my place in deciding to take action to war. You must learn to make this decision, ma'ite." Mo'at says and you bow your head in understanding. The proceedings were intense but there was no opposition to going to war with the demons. Tsu'tey was celebrating the preparation of war when Jake and Neytiri emerged from the crowd. You felt relief flood your body when you saw Neytiri was okay, so you made your way to her. But her scent was off. She did not smell just of herself but Jake as well and you took a step away from her. Tsu'tey shoved Jake to the ground and Neytiri pushed him away, and you knew.
"You mated with this woman?" Tsu'tey asked as he cast his eyes to you, who stood nearby.
"Is this true?" Mo'at asked angrily as she came forward. Neytiri looked like a child who had just gotten caught doing something they weren't supposed to do.
"We are mated before Eywa. It is done." Neytiri says in finality and you wrap your arms around yourself. Mo'at pulls you into her arms when she senses your sadness well up within you.
"Ma'tiyawn, we wanted you to come with us but we could not find you." Neytiri says as she tries to come to you but you put your hand up to silence her.
"You have made me the third." You tell her and her ears pinned back. "If you had both waited until this morning I was going to speak with you privately about taking him as our third. However, you have now disrespected my placement on our mating by doing this." You tell her and Neytiri looks close to tears and Jake is looking at you with eyes full of hope.
"Neytiri te Tskaha Mo'at'ite, because of this you can never be Olo'eyktan. Your actions have shown impatience and impulsive behavior, which cannot be tolerated from a leader." Mo'at says. "(Y/n) will remain tsakarem and Tsu'tey will become her Olo'eyktan and mate should he accept." Mo'at speaks in an authoritative tone and she looks at Tsu'tey.
"I accept." Tsu'tey says as he makes eye contact with you. Jake speaks up after all of this is declared.
"Tsu'tey, brother. Do not attack the sky people. Many Omatikaya will die if you do." Jake says and Tsu'tey pulls out his knife.
"You are NOT my brother!" Tsu'tey attacks Jake only for Jake to throw him off balance.
"And I am not your enemy! The real enemy is out there and they are very powerful!" Jake says. "I can talk to them."
"No more talk!" Tsu'tey yells as he charges forward to try to attack Jake again but he sidesteps his attack and only sustains a cut. Tsu'tey tries to stab Jake again only for Jake to stop his arm, punch him across the jaw, knees him in the chest, then punches him directly in his nose. You gawk at the fighting style as it is foreign to you and you immediately recognize that this man is far more trained than most of your clan.
"I am Omatikaya. I am one of you. And I have the right to speak." Jake says. "I have something to say... to all of you." Jake pauses and grimaces. "The words are like stones in my heart." He finishes in the demon language.
Grace drops to the ground and you run to her side and start looking over her for any wounds.
"Grace!" Neytiri yells and drops to her knees on her other side.
"Oh no. Look I was sent here to-" Jake says in a rushed manner then promptly falls to his knees. Tsu'tey takes this as an opportunity and lifts Jake's head up with his knife to Jake's throat.
"You see? It is a demon in a false body." Tsu'tey says and Neytiri pounces on his back and throws him away from Jake's still body. He directs his knife toward her and she stands over Jake protectively with hers drawn as well. You exhale and walk back to the healer's area to continue preparations. Some time later Jake and Grace are awake again and Mo'at gathers you to stand beside her.
"Ma'Eytukan! I have something to say." Jake says hurriedly and Grace joins his side.
"Listen to him." She says.
"Speak JakeSulí." Eytukan says and Jake takes a deep breath.
"A great evil is upon us. The sky people are coming to destroy Hometree!" Jake says and Mo'at becomes concerned. "Tell 'em they're gonna be here soon." He says to Neytiri and she translates for Eytukan.
"Are you certain of this?" Mo'at asks.
"Look, they sent me here to learn your ways. So that one day I could deliver this message and you'd believe it." Jake says and you glare at him.
"What are you saying Jake? That you knew this would happen?" Neytiri asks him and he hesitates.
"Yes. Look, at first it was just orders. But then I fell in love. With the forest and with the Omatikaya people. And with you and (Y/n)." Jake says and Neytiri looks like she's holding back tears.
"I trusted you." Neytiri says as she starts to back away from him.
"With you and (Y/n)!" Jake continues to try and calm her but she's angry. She continues to yell at him until she finally walks away from him. Eytukan looks at both yours and Neytiri's sad expressions and turns to the warriors.
"Bind them!" Eytukan says and everything became a blur after that. Grace and Jake were dragged out of Hometree and you stayed with Mo'at inside. After an hour or so you heard the sound of the sky demons machines outside. A few moments later a metal canister flew through the entrance of Hometree. It released smoke that caused your eyes to water so to protect the children and mothers you started telling them to run for the trees. Then they started shooting at Hometree. The explosions throw you off of your feet and you try to push through and get out of Hometree. You're stopped a little ways away from Hometree by Eytukan.
"You must go! Run for the forest!" Eytukan says but he quickly throws you behind him and a massive explosion throws you both off of your feet. When you make contact with the ground your head hits it hard and everything goes dark.
You wake up to the sound of fire and someone shouting for the father. You take notice of Eytukan a short way away and run to his side as best as you can.
"Ma'Eytukan... I'm so sorry. I should have gotten up sooner." You cry as you look over the piece of wood that's straight through his chest.
"Ma'ite. Lead the people wisely." Eytukan says as he takes off his headpiece and hands it to you and you cry harder.
"Ma'sempul!" You finally recognize the voice as Neytiri's as she finds you both. She cries out as she joins you by his side.
"Ma'ite, protect the people." Eytukan says as he hands Neytiri his bow. When she has a good hold on it his arm goes slack. Neytiri falls into hysterical crying and you wrap an arm around her shoulder as you sob quietly next to her.
"Neytiri! (Y/n)!" You hear Jake searching for both you and his mate, but you can't bring yourself to look up at him. He stumbles into the small clearing you're in and he drops to his knees on Eytukans other side. He looks over the beloved Olo'eyktans dead body and he reaches over to set one hand on Neytiri's neck and takes one of your hands in his.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Jake says trying to console both of you.
"Get away." Neytiri says through sobs but her sadness quickly turns to anger. "Get away! Get away from here, never come back." She takes Jake's place and cradles her father's body in her arms as she continues to cry. Jake looks on like he's lost and turns then leaves. You put on the headpiece that Eytukan gave you and quietly follow Jake. He collapses and you check him over to make sure he wasn't wounded but find he's alright. You leave your leather pouch full of fresh water on his chest and run off to follow the rest of the clan to the Tree of Souls.
The next couple of days are filled with sadness as the clan mourns the loss of the Olo'eyktan and Hometree. However, the days following Toruk Maktos return are chaotic. War breaks out as 15 clans come together to rid the world of the demons. In the war, you lost your second promised mate and you feel lost.
After a new Hometree is found a new Olo'eyktan is chosen, and it's Toruk Makto himself. Mo'at refused to allow her daughter the title because of her past actions. During the time of rebuilding Jake and Neytiri approached you.
"I meant what I said before the destruction of the original Hometree. I want to be mated with both of you because I am in love with you. The passion and love your eyes held when you taught me about Eywa and helped teach me the language. It made you even more beautiful than you already are. Please join us in our mating?" Jake says and he offers you his tswin and Neytiri offers hers as well. Your breathing becomes shallow as you look from the eyes to their tswin's presented to you. You feel tears start to fall from your eyes and Jake uses his free hand to wipe them away. You take a deep breath and present your tswin to them. The three groups of nerve endings dance until they all bond together. You wrap one arm around Jake's waist and the other around Neytiri's shoulders. The intimacy quickly changes from gentle and comforting, to aroused and complete.
Months later you welcome your first son into the world as Neteyam te Sulí Tsyeyek'itan, right after little Kiri te Sulí Kìreysì'ite born from Grace's avatar, then Neytiri brought Lo'ak te Sulí Tsyeyek'itan. Many cycles later both you and Neytiri brought one more child each. She gave birth to Tukitery te Sulí Neytiri'ite, and you were blessed with another boy, on the same day as Neytiri welcomed Tuk, you welcomed Tomis te Sulí Tsyeyek'itan. Blessed was the only word you would use to describe your life now as you watched your mate teach and play with your children.

Order in the Chaos - Chapter 1 - Honkai: Star Rail fanfiction
Summery: Sunday makes a choice to board a train of dignified traveling warriors, expecting to be treated politely at best and coldly at worst. Instead, he finds himself navigating waterlogged hallways, avoiding coffee, and for the love of everything good, WHAT is their obsession with his halo?
AO3 link or Next Chapter >>
“Seeing as you’ve been so kind to allow me to board the Astral Express,” Sunday spoke, looking over the Nameless who remained his judge and jury even after agreeing to allow him temporary passage aboard. “I promise to aid the functionality of this train as much as I can. Please teach me everything you need me to learn so I can be useful. Use me whenever you require my assistance. Other than that, I will stay out of your way as much as possible. I do not wish to be a hinderance.”
“Pom-pom would appreciate the help,” the little conductor said.
“We’ll be sure to teach you everything you need to know,” the gracious Himeko assured. “And if you don’t understand something, don’t be afraid to ask.”
Sunday nodded. “Thank you. I’ll be sure to do so.”
“You are welcome to do whatever you feel most comfortable with,” Mr. Yang added on. “But do not feel like you need to stay out of our way for our sakes. Make yourself comfortable here. You’re going to be here for a while.”
The offer was kind, polite, but Sunday knew better than to take advantage of that. “I will keep that in mind.” In mind, yes, but not in practice. He already was planning to keep to his room most of the time, a task that would be more easily done once he figured out the schedule and duties of this train.
“Well,” Mr. Yang continued. “With that, I suppose the only thing left is to ensure you have a room.”
“He can take mine,” Stelle offered.
“Really?” March flatly questioned. “You just finished decorating it, and you’re going to give it up so quickly?”
“That’s unnecessary,” Sunday was quick to cut in. “Surely there is an unused room, however small, that I can take.”
“Why not?” Stelle continued, ignoring him. “I can go back to sleeping in my box.”
A box? His mind came to a screeching halt as he processed what he thought she’d just said. She’s slept in a box?
No. Surely he was misunderstanding something.
“We threw it away cleaning up your room,” Dan Heng said.
Stelle looked highly offended at that, her hand flying to her chest and eyes going wide. “Why would you do that? It was such a comfortable box.”
“You have an actual bed now.”
“Says the man who sleeps on the floor.”
“A futon is a perfectly respectable bed.”
“It’s only respectable if you make it.”
… Sunday was so very confused. The desperate need to break up whatever this was with… something was growing. “T-There’s no need to give up your bedroom for me,” he loudly cut in.
Thankfully, they stopped.
“I do not require much space,” Sunday continued. “So please, I am fine with whatever is most convenient for you.”
“My room,” Stelle insisted once again.
Sunday felt his hope deflate.
“Where are you going to sleep, then?” March challenged.
“Sleepover?” Stelle asked.
“Yeah right.”
“Then with Dan Heng.” Stelle looped her arm around Dan Heng’s elbow.
He sighed, looking more exhausted with the brazen proclamation than uncomfortable. “Stelle, no. We’ve been over this.”
“We’ve done it before.”
“Stelle.”
Sunday cleared his throat. He seemed to be the only one embarrassed by this turn of events. Even Himeko and Mr. Yang were chuckling by his side.
Before he could speak up or even find the words to say, Stelle reached for his hand. “Come on.”
“W-wait!”
“She’s not going to let up,” March bemoaned, already moving out of the way.
“Best not to fight her,” Dan Heng suggested to Sunday as Stelle dragged him past.
“Neither of your beds are safe from me!” Stelle shouted back behind her.
“As long as you stop sleeping on the parlor couch.” The conductor cut in, trying to look intimidating by placing their little hands on their hips. The steam cloud coming off their head was quite convincing, though.
“No promises.” Stelle stuck her tongue out and shot the conductor a peace sign.
Behind him, Sunday could hear Himeko’s laugh grow.
But this was no laughing matter!
“M-miss Stelle,” he spoke, trying his hardest to force words past the lump in his throat caused by the panic of his flustered heart. “Please, I insist. I cannot take your room.”
“Don’t worry about it,” she dismissed. “Just take it while we figure something out for you.”
“Surely that can be determined now instead of later.”
“Meh, too much work.”
Rendered speechless, he simply allowed her to drag him through the railcars until they got to a large one that looked like a high-class bar.
“Greetings, Nameless,” a robot called out from behind the bar. “We have a guest, I see. Is he joining the Nameless or just nameless. Get it? Because I do not—”
“Shush,” Stelle cut in, marching right past the robot.
If Sunday were honest, that was about how well he was expecting to be treated by… everyone. They had put on a kind face so far. A faint hope in his heart told him that they’d stay amiable until he disembarked, yet his mind warned him against clinging too tightly to that.
For now, he submitted to being dragged up a set of stairs off to the side of the car, up to a large attic space.
“My room,” Stelle introduced, wearing a proud smile as she propped her hands on her hips. “You can borrow it for now.”
His eyes shot wide as he took in the size of her quarters, one containing not only a bed but a private bath, a gaming corner, a section for knickknacks, and even a kitchen and gathering area. This was practically a small house.
“Are… all the rooms like this?” he found himself asking.
“No. The passenger car has actual rooms, but there’s only four rooms to a car. I was the last to board, so they were all spoken for. They don’t really have another permanent living quarters car at the moment, so we figured something else out until I took over this storage shed.”
He hated to burst her bubble, but this was far more than just a storage shed.
“You can stay here for now.”
“No!” he hastily cut in. “I couldn’t possibly—”
“Why not?”
“Because it’s your room.”
“So?” Stelle grabbed a pillow from the bed, then went over to the knickknack corner and grabbed a baseball bat. “I’ll go bug the others.”
“That’s unnecessary—”
“They won’t mind.” She was now rummaging through her closet, pulling out a stack of rumpled clothes. “And I don’t mind sleeping in the parlor car. I did it for a while. I can face Pom-poms wrath.”
Was this girl capable of listening at all. Didn’t she understand this was totally impractical on many levels? Yet, there seemed to be no way of talking her out of it. His gut was in an uncomfortable knot he knew wasn’t going to unravel anytime soon.
“Everything all right up here?” Himeko entered carrying folded fabric that Sunday took too long to realize were bedsheets.
“Oh yeah.” Stelle pointed to the sheets with her bat. “I meant to grab those from the laundry room.”
Himeko swiftly held out one of the sheets to her. A pillow case. “They’ve been in there all morning.”
“Kinda forgot.” Stelle tucked the bat behind her, sitting on the end like a one-legged stool. With her clothes crammed under her other arm, she began shoving the pillow into the case.
… Maybe this was offensive to say, but she was a strange girl. Then again, maybe Sunday was judging her too quickly. Maybe he was judging all of them too quickly. He didn’t know them all that well, and who knew what kind of people they were beyond their professional front.
He didn’t even know that answer of himself. He may not be a strider of the trailblaze path, but even he had self-discoveries he needed to make.
After winning her pillow fight, Stelle took her bat, swung it up on her shoulder, and marched from the room. “I’m gonna dump these in March’s room. I can show him the way.”
“I can take him on a full tour,” Himeko said. “It’s the engineer’s pleasure to show off their work, after all.”
“Roger.” Stelle tapped her forehead with the bat, using it to salute Himeko before bouncing down the stairs.
Himeko turned back to Sunday, holding out the sheets. “Here, you’ll need these.”
He took the sheets from her. “Thank you, but… are you certain it’s okay for me to stay here?”
“Stelle wouldn’t have offered if it wasn’t.”
Well, there was no way around it. He supposed he’d just have to accept her offer.
“We’ll try to be mindful of your privacy,” Himeko said. “However, we do like gathering in the kitchen here. I don’t know how she does it, but Stelle collects the best snacks.”
That made perfect sense. It also made him uncomfortable. This room was not as out of everyone’s way as he had hoped. He’d have to find other ways not to be a nuisance. “She has quite the room.”
“She worked hard to make it happen. I think we’re all a little jealous. But with pros comes cons. Given the location and size, it lacks the privacy individual rooms have. Give and take, I suppose.”
Sunday nodded as he listened. “By the way, the robot downstairs. I didn’t catch its name.”
“Shush.”
“Pardon?”
“Its name is ‘Shush’.” Himeko explained. “And don’t be worried about telling it to do so. It has a tendency to ramble. It also has a tendency to come up and visit here every now and then. I think Stelle was just complaining about it keeping her up last night.”
Suddenly, Stelle handing him the room was beginning to make a bit of sense. “I still feel guilty about taking over her room. Thank her for me. I did not have the opportunity to do it properly.”
“It’s not like you won’t see her again,” Himeko said with an encouraging smile. “Thank her then.”
“I will.”
“Now, you can explore the room later. Allow me to show you around the Express.”
“I would much appreciate it.”
~~~
To My Dearest Sister,
I’ve just boarded the Astral Express. It is a beautiful train, and the Nameless have been kind to me. I wish you could be here with me as well, but I understand well that our paths must diverge for the time being. I will strive to use this time to find the answers I’m looking for. Once I do, I hope to return to your side. Even if that is not the case, then at least I hope to face you with my head held high once again.
Although, there is a good chance I’m saying such things because I’m already homesick.
So much of my life has been on Penacony that I fear the journey ahead. The trailblaze may not be a path I follow, but it is the path I need. I will be brave and face it head on, despite the fact that compared to the others aboard this train, I am a coward. One much more selfish and proud than I have any right to be.
I hope in our time apart that you will be well, that you will have adventures of your own. I would give you all my luck, but I ask for your forgiveness: I need to keep some for my own adventure ahead.
I will write to you whenever I can. I don’t know how much free time I will have, but I have the impression I will have a lot of time to report very little to you. Maybe this is too much to ask for, but please, wish me luck. Only some of it will be necessary. It will be a blessing if it’s coming from you.
Your Loving Brother,
Sunday
~~~
“Why’d it have to be my room?” March bemoaned.
“Because Dan Heng kicked me out,” Stelle flatly answered, already tucking herself into March’s bed.
“No surprise there.”
“I’ll let you read that new detective story off my phone.”
“They don’t update today.”
“Special Side Story.”
“OH! Gimme!”

The Menace Anon heed your call and you choose "Lone Wolf" so here is something for you to read.
I got this idea from a book on Quotev called "Skipped Cutscene" from MayBeDragon12. And this book has an interesting feature. Reader is a Link, Wild to be specific, but it's not a Yandere Chain x Reader but a normal Chain x Reader. So I thought to myself, why not turn them into Yandere? So here we are. This is Sage!Reader and how I headcanon my TotK Link.
They loath Wild and Twilight.
They are different from Wild like a alternative universe, where Wild was never named Link. Or they are Wild and just said, that they aren't Link anymore.
Twilight was still their guide through the first adventure, though.
Twilight was confused as hell before feeling guilty. He feels guilty because he thinks he abandoned Ruins as they needed him the most, on their second journey, third if we count pre-calamity.
Wild is Pup, they are Pup Cub in his mind.
Ruins' Sword is a fused Master Sword, but to be specific a fusion of Gloom Sword and Master Sword. This Sword Fi doesn't react to the other heroes at all.
It's because of the Gloom Sword and the Gloom and Malice inside of Reader's blood.
Nobody but them can wield this sword properly because of the Gloom.
If you thought Legend took awhile to trust the Chain, he still doesn't trust them completely.
Well Ruins will not trust them for a loooonnnng time maybe even never.
Because I found the nicknames weird, I came with a new one "Ruins" as they literally are surrounded by them.
As for "Sage", it's kinda mean as they got the nickname because of the sages they wield?  So how about "Pilot"?
Their title is "Hero of Ruins" because they deserve one.
Twilight is always near them, he's trying to make amends.
Reader doesn't want that at all.
Reader doesn't want to be a hero anymore just Reader who lives in the outskirts of Tarrey Town.
As the Chain said, that they still are a hero, that they needed them to be the hero once again. Reader wanted to scream and blow up a goddess statue.
If the Chain want's to capture Reader to take them with them? A wild goose chase is going on.
They have a slide for snowy mountains and a makeshift skateboard for the hills and cars. And don't forget, that they can teleport.
It was one hell of a fight.
They would jump of Skyloft, without a care for the world. Twilight is losing it.
They are a savage bastard after all.
The best songs that fit Sage!Reader would be "Link up" the TotK Rap from Austin Simmon.
Now how they met.
Twilight PoV:
We landed in Hyrule again. At first Wild and I thought that we were in his, but his doesn't have any floating islands. So then we thought it was Sky's, which wasn't it either. So we came to the conclusion that it has to be a Hyrule shortly after Sky, maybe like 100 years? So we went to explore it, I had to catch Wild a few times as he tried to run off. He really acted like a pup. We saw a monster camp near us, so Warriors began to formulate a plan to annihilate them.
„Yeah... Forget about that, someone with a robot is going through this.“ We all turned around and looked at the said person which Four mentioned.
They wore a blue tunic with a hylian hood, and brown pants and boots. Finished with the camp, they started to build something, which reminded me of a carriage but it wasn't drawn by any horses, yet. They climbed onto the strange carriage and it drove... Without any horses or rails... They came to our direction and stopped sideways in front of us.
„Do you need help?“
„Do you know, where the next town is?“ Pup asked them.
They looked with the eyes to us before signaled us to come up to them.
„I can drive you to the nearest lookout from there your on your own.“
„That would be very appreciated.“ said the old man.
We climbed onto the vehicle and they drove with us off.
We tried to speak to them but they didn't budge. They kept silent, just looking at the road before them. We could see a wooden wall in the distance with the castle behind it. They stopped at the door and turned the carriage sideways.
„We are here, you're safe in there.“ They sounded annoyed and mumbled under their breaths profanities. So we jumped off and they drove off. I looked at them quite a while. They were so familiar...
"Why do I feel like I know them...?" I thought to myself.
I jumped out of my train of thoughts as Wild laid a hand on my shoulder.
„Twi, you alright?“ I looked at Wild.
„Yeah, everythin' is 'lright, just somethin' is naggin' me about them“
„What bothers you?“ I looked at Hyrule beside me.
„I don't know... It's like I know them, but we aren't anywhere near my Hyrule...“ I told them while we were walking inside the "lookout". We looked around, it was like Ordon a small little village not town or anything. Zora, Hylian, Rito and some Gorons were here and trained. We heard fast footsteps and before we could see, who it was, Wild laid on the ground with a girl with short blonde hair on top of him.
„Reader! Where have you been?! Purah and I were so worried!!!“ She released the Champion from her hug and as she saw her mistake. She stood up abruptly and went red.
„I'm So Sorry!!! I thought, you were someone else! ~But you wear a Champion's Tunic and the hood in your face... I really thought you were them...~ Again I'm sorry...“
„Sorry mylady, but who is that "Reader" and can we help you with them?“ asked Warriors while I helped Wild up.
„Reader is the Hero of Hyrule... They changed after this adventure... After they woke up inside the Shrine of Resurrection they were so openly friendly and curious like a little puppy hehehe... But after this one it was like that they went from the curious puppy to a distrusting lone wolf... They travel around Hyrule to find anything to soothe their pain... I know, I was at fault at that, I even took over their house... I want my best friend back... The only one, who understands me the most...“ She laughed sadly and looked at the ground. She had probably tears in her eyes.
„Do ya want us 'da look for them? Maybe even bringin' them back here?“ I asked her, while the boys looked shocked to me.
„You would do that? Thanks!! Oh... I didn't even asked you for your names. I'm Zelda from Hyrule, the princess and next Queen of Hyrule.“ she bowed down slightly.
So we bowed down as well, before introducing us.
„Well, our name is Link, so everyone has a nickname. I'm Warriors, that's Time, Legend, Four, Hyrule, Wind, Sky, Twilight and the one you tackled is Wild. We are all heroes of Hyrule but from a different era.“ Wars introduced us by pointing to said person. The said person either bowed or nodded.
She nodded with a sad smile. „So you will take them with you, right? You are definitely not travelling just to have a vacation... They need to be a hero again, right...?“
The Captain nodded with a sad smile.
„The threat we're dealing with isn't easy to slay, we could need any helping hand, that we can find.“ My ancestor told the princess with a stony face, but his eyes reflecting the worry of the soon-to-be new addition to the group.
So we said her we help her and bring the hero here before we depart around Hyrule to find the shadow. We went out of the village and headed the way, that "Reader" drived off to. But they were much faster than we ever could be. So we crossed the bridge and saw a destroyed Talus with bodies of Bokoblins.
„Does that Talus look strange for you too?“ Wind asked as Wild rushed to it's side to investigate it.
„That's awesome! The Bokoblins took the Talus as a walking fortress!!“
„Their called "Battle Talus" and they are a real pain in the ass with the right monsters on it's head.“ We looked up the hill and saw the obvious hero of this Hyrule. They wore the Champion's Tunic with a leather armour over it, they wore the same cape as Wild but their's was more tattered and ripped at some parts. Their pants was a normal beige-brown with a ripped green tunic with Triforce symbols tied to their hip and hanged down sideways and heavy looking travel boots. Their hood hid their face even as they jumped down and slided down the cliff. They stopped before us and stood on the remains of the Talus.
„So what do you want? I heard you guys talking about me. So what is it?“
I looked in-between Wild and the newcomer and noticed something that made me a little dizzy.
"They have the same scent!! That's what's nagging me! That's why I had the feeling I know them!!" I thought and looked at the older copy of Wild, my pup.
They looked at me but they didn't seem happy like Wild always was as I appeared before him as a wolf. They seemed cold and angry and stepped aside as I tried to hug them. They are my pup, after all!
„Don't come near me, you mutt! I will behead you myself, if you try it again! You abandoned me as I needed you the most! As I stumbled around like a newly born fawn and crawled out of the shrine as I woke up, The Second Time! You weren't there! So do me a favour and get the fuck lost!!“ It hurts like hell to hear that from the one I took under my wing but I could understand it. I abandoned them...
„Is this how the old man felt as he heard that he abandoned Wind's time?“ was my first thought.
They acted so feral and snarled at me so I stepped back.
„I'll not tryin' 'da come near ya again, but please hear us out...“ The others looked shocked to my and my second pup.
„Spit it out, I still have things to do!“
„Stop acting like a child! What are you five?! You can't jus...“ Warriors was interrupted as the hero before us stripped off their tunic and hood.
We could see their arm. It wasn't their arm and it's reeking old magic while also reeking dark magic.
„Just what?! I lost my arm and got cursed!! I wander around Hyrule to find shrines to complete them under pain! Normal people would trying to bit their arm off! Under a blood moon I can feel the Gloom and Malice swirling in my blood!! If I could I would do Ganondorf a favour and jump off the next cliff!! Without the glider!!“ They put their clothes back on before walking away.
„Look for someone else to travel with you, I distanced myself from my so called "titel". I'm no hero anymore!“
With that the wild goose chase began and the Chain, especially Twilight, were hunting Sage!Reader like the monster hunted Hyrule on his journey. Reader really thought at first they were puppets but after some "investigation" or "stalking" they new they were the real deal. It didn't make it any better. After Reader is back from their forced fourth adventure, they can fix their house as that got rearranged during their fight against the Chain. During the journey many insults were thrown around, especially on Wild's and Twilight's head but since when is a Link known for giving up? Oh and what Chain tries to do with Reader so they stay? Well, trying to be the most trusted companion obviously. So now please help me stop Sage from beheading Legend with their bare hands.
okay so - I hate to start it like this (and feel a little bad because I did choose this) but I cannot handle sage anymore. There is a reason I stopped writing him, and had to block any tags to do with him - it isn't something I would like to take public though with all due respect. it is the reason why tears exists as a link that I now write for as my preferred totk link. So this was something that took me a bit to read through and I couldn't really read all of it. This is something that I should have made clearer on my blog however, and I'll take responsibility for that. but in the future I will ask to please not send me anything to do with that version of the character for my own sanity.
but the premise is really good! I love the idea of a reader being an alternate link and how it could impact their relationship with the chain

Hello there! I've just discovered your page and I lovvveee your writting, especially on Neteyam! ♡ I'm crazy about him, and I have sort of a double request idea please ^.^ . Neteyam having a kink for being praised "who's the mighty warrior? ;) Come on, say it!" during sex. And also him just being a super teasing dom, who teases you painfully slowly sometimes, seeing how his handy work affects you. Knowing he has the power to please you as your mate and satisfy you when he chooses, but holding back to watch. Even though your begging him to speed up the process hehe >.<
AHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! 😭🫶🏻 i am also crazy about neteyam so i will gladly fulfill your request ;)

°˖➴ warnings: fem omatikaya reader, agedup!neteyam, dom!neteyam, sub!reader, tease!neteyam, sir kink 🧎🏻‍♀️, teasing, some fingering, dirty talk, hair pulling, hitting it from behind 😜 - yawne: beloved, sevin: pretty, mawey: calm/be calm
Tumblr media
neteyam would never admit it, but he could get cocky; whenever he was praised for his great work a smirk never failed to creep onto his face. he wasn't full of himself, if anything he was honestly the most selfless person you knew, but he loved being told how amazing he was. he loved when you told him how amazing he was.
it wasn't long after eclipse and you were weaving the last section of the basket you promised kiri you would make, hands cramping from the work. you smile as the entrance to your hut opens, neteyam stepping in. "finally home" you say, standing up to approach him with his hands already reaching for your hips. "yawne" he hums and instantly collides your lips, almost as though a magnet is pulling them together. you sigh happily into the kiss, arms linking around his neck and fingers tangling in his braids. his large hands on your hips pull them flush to his own, hard cock pressing into your clothed pussy. "neteyam-" you mewl softly, rolling your hips against the cock you so desperately needed.
"mhmmmm what is it?" he smirks, hands stilling your grinding. the whimper that left your mouth was almost pathetic, so eager to let him rail you into the next dimension, but you were a fool to think it would be that easy with neteyam. "are you gonna tell me? something seems to be troubling you, sevin.." he tilts his head in a taunting manner, slight pout on his plump lips. "teyam.. want it"; the second the short sentence leaves your lips a chuckle leaves his, "and what is it you want? that was pretty vague, not sure i can help you" he steps away, removing his knife sheath from his hip and continuing on like nothing just happened. "no, no, please baby.." you whine and drag his hands back to your hips, your own reaching for his loincloth. "ah ah... i still have no idea what you want.." his index finger travels to the front of your loincloth, caressing your slit through the fabric and bringing upon a wet spot.
he bends down to whisper in your ear, "you better think of a way to tell me soon..." he nibbles your ear after he speaks, finger finding your bundles of nerves and applying pressure. you moan softly at the much needed touch, clit pulsing under his finger and your loincloth. "more, i need more... need your cock..." he coos out of satisfaction, removing your loincloth before bringing his finger back to your slit, it collecting wetness effortlessly. "now that was better, but i still need more, don't you think i deserve more than that, princess?" his long finger sinks inside of you seamlessly, loud gasp escaping as you finally gain some relief. you nod frantically in response, his finger idle in your clenching hole.
"if i deserve more then tell me more, tell me and maybe i'll give you what you want" he pumps his finger a few times, your eyes fluttering shut while you collect your thoughts. "i want- i want you inside me, please sir... please fuck me and fill me with cum.. i'll do anything i just need it!" the agony in your voice was painfully obvious, neteyam's cock twitching at the neediness you expelled. "good girl" he brings his free hand to grip your chin, eyes boring into yours. "tell me who the mighty warrior is, and i'm all yours. say it" his tone is as serious as can be, lips curling into a small smirk. "you are! you're the mighty warrior, sir!" you squeal out and within an instant his loincloth is off, cock standing at attention and tip leaking.
he brings you to your knees on the floor, back arched and face squished against the woven mat. your ass was straight up in the air, begging to be touched and pounded. you felt neteyam's presence behind you after what felt like an eternity, shortly after feeling the sensation of his tip probing your slippery entrance. your small whimpers pushed neteyam further, deciding to give in and fully push himself inside. he groaned as he bottomed out, one hand placed on your hip while the other held you down by your neck. "finally gonna give you what you want... do you still want it?" he taunts, slowly retracting to thrust himself in again at an achingly slow pace. "yes sir, yes i still want it yes" you babble and urge him to start to move faster, finding the perfect pace to hit you in all the right spots.
each thrust you feel him at your cervix, his hands warm and rough on your body. you moan shamelessly at this point, the sounds falling out as you do your best to grasp the woven mat below you. "so hard to hold off on you sometimes when- fuck- when i know you feel this good" he moans shakily and thrusts harder, hand wrapping around your braids to yank you up right into his chest. you whimper at the sudden tug, head falling back against his chest. "are you happy that you got what you wanted? tell me" he whispers roughly in your ear, cock continuously fucking in and out of you without any faltering. "yes sir, i'm so h-happy" your chest is heaving as you mutter out the sentence, pussy squelching emphatically and knot forming inside you. "sir- cum- need to cum-" an audible growl comes from neteyam at your words, hips snapping up even faster so he can catch up to you. his teeth are bared and his ears back as he feels himself teetering on the edge, "show me... be a good girl and cum with me"
he groans as your walls clench, orgasm exploding simultaneously with his. "oh neteyam!" you wail as your cum canvases his cock, his own cum loading up your pussy rapidly. you can feel the rise and fall of his chest on your back after the orgasms, timing your own breaths with his in an attempt to come down from the high. "mawey, yawne, mawey..." he kisses your cheek, wrapping his arms around you tightly. "i love you.." you mumble out, softening under his touch. "i love you too" he smiles and rests his chin on your shoulder, "so... who's the mighty warrior?"

Fandom‧˚。゚・° 。✎ Legend of Zelda (linked universe)
Pairing‧˚。゚・° 。✎ Yandere!Platonic!Linked universe x Magic Triforce!Reader
Word count‧˚。゚・° 。✎ 5177
Summery‧˚。゚・° 。✎ This is for a request. You used your piece of the triforce to teleport yourself to safety and landed right by the boys. They took you in and have you travelling with them.
Misc‧˚。゚・° 。✎ mild yandere behavior, Written from the boys perspective, reader doesn't want to go home, mild drowning mention, mild mentions of reader not liking their home life before, the boy's see another triforce user and immediately decide they'll die for you.
The triforce of power, courage, wisdom, and Magic. The fourth and often overlooked one. Hidden in the space in the middle of the triforce. The part that never truly shines. The times in history when the piece is active are hardly written in historical texts. Few have been known to wield it. Less than that understand what it does. The powers it gives are unknown and it works as if by magic itself.
Many have theorised that empty space in between all three represent the empty chaos that was made by the three. Others say that it represents the will of where all three parts of the triforce meet. Others argue it's the parts the three did not claim. The only thing we do know is what we don't know. It is recorded that the users have magical abilities that don't fall into any of the other categories.
Few have claimed it and even less have seen it in action.
. . .
"How much longer is left on this boat?" Sky asked. He hung his head over the railing and stared down at the water. His stomach had been doing flips nonstop since the trip started. All he could do was bite down and wait. Time put a hand on his shoulder to calm the man. He had been hanging by the railing all day and several of the others had placed bets on whether he was going to barf or not.
"It can't be much longer now. Just hold steady." Sky looked behind him. Past Time to see Warrior and Four staring. They were talking to each other. He didn't know what they were saying but it was probably about him. Giving him a hard time over his sea sickness no doubt. No one had any sympathy for the resident flyer. He wished they'd give him a break. Soaring a sea of clouds and a literal sea were so different.
"If it's much further can’t we just-" Sky was cut off. A sound came from the air. A loud shot rang out. Somewhere between a loud boom and the crack of a whip. Wind immediately hit the deck and called for everyone to do the same. It sounded like cannon fire and the pirates' instincts took over.
The rest of the group got ready and looked around. It was only Time, Sky, Wind, Four, and Warrior on the deck. They all waited and listened. There was no source for the noise. It sounded like it came from the sky itself. There were few clouds around and nothing could be seen in the great blue above. Not even a bird was flying overhead.
A minute passed and everyone started to calm down. There was nothing to be found. No explanation for what just happened. With this group nothing could be called random but nothing had changed. No monsters swarmed the deck and the nerves slowly faded. It was quiet again. Sky looked to Time who gave him a look that said he had no clue.
Another mysterious sound hit right as Time turned around. An ominous wailing sound came from the sky. This time it was closer. Both parties turned to look. Nothing happened for a spare second, until a petal. Delicate and blue appeared from thin air and fell. Slowly wafting down into the ocean.
Sky watched it fade into the blue below. It was clear this strange petal was because of the sound that came before. First the thunder crack, then the wailing, and now this. Time joined him by the railing and Sky leaned over. Standing on the wood to raise him so he could get a better look.
"Don't fall in." Time said. He put a hand on Sky’s back to support him just in case he tipped over.
"I'm not going to-" Sky was cut off again as someone fell into the water before him. It all happened too fast. A blur of blue and a string of music before the person fell into the waves below. He tried to reach out a hand to grab them and catch them but he failed to.
Time Threw himself against the railing. He would have thrown himself over the edge if it weren't for his armour. He was still wearing plate mail. He couldn't go into the water. If he did he would be dragged down by the weight of it all. Instead he turned around and called out something incoherent. Warrior and Four were already rushing forward.
“Wind stop the boat!” Warrior bellowed as he threw off his extra garments. His scarf, rings, and cloak would only get waterlogged and drag him under. He threw himself over the railing. Diving into the waves below.  Disappearing along with whoever else was there. Quick to action and to throw himself into the line of fire was he.
Sky just watched, a bit embarrassed he didn't know how to swim as he stood helpless. He looked to Time who was in the same boat. Neither of them could swim, not well for Time’s case. Four looked around frantically. Hoping for some loose rope that he could use to pull them up with. He saw someone fall and knew they would need help. He grabbed some rope off of the deck and passed it to the other two standing there. They each grabbed on and started lowering it into the water.
“I can't stop it but I'll try!” Wind yelled back. He turned the wheel hard and turned left to circle the spot where Warrior jumped in. Twilight Came onto the deck confused and looked around. Wild and Hyrule were below the deck cooking and checking supplies. The trip wasn't supposed to take more than a day unless conditions worsened. It looked like it just got worse.
Warrior surfaced from the waves holding a child in his arms. She looked to only be about ten or twelve years old. She would be ok but they had to get her out now. Who knows how much water got into her lungs while the others just stood there. He looked up at the others who were shouting at him to grab the rope. He took it and tied it around the unconscious kid.
“Pull her up first!” Warrior called. He could wait until they got her to safety. The salt water burned his throat but he didn't mind. This is what he trained for.
“No point in arguing.” Time muttered. They could have pulled up both, but he knew it wasn't something Warrior would even consider. They brought the girl up and untied her. As soon as that was done they threw the rope back down. Time laid her down on her back. They would have to get Hyrule to look her over for healing.
Sky got down on one knee and rested her hand against the girl's forehead. It didn't do anything. There was nothing he could do. He wasn't close to knowing how to help with these types of wounds. He felt useless. He saw that fall first. Was arguably the closest. It was right in front of him. Sky wanted to catch you but it all happened so fast and he didn't know what to do. You just fell and all he could do was watch.
Just like what happened with Zelda when the tornado pulled her down to the surface.
“She’ll be ok.” Sky spoke quietly under his breath. It was mostly for himself but the other two could hear. The kid seemed to be breathing a bit slow. She looked to be sleeping but when she fell she surly inhaled some water. Sky felt useless again as he realised he never learned what to do in a situation like this. He couldn't swim or help around the boat. Well, there was something he could do. Carrying her like a princess he picked her up in both arms.
“Go take her to Hyrule.” Four watched Sky walk by Twilight and down into the lower levels. Sky didn't say anything in response. Never acknowledged the other two still working to pull Warrior up. Twilight followed Sky back down and Wind was still at the wheel. Sky didn't have to say anything, he was helping the kid, but watching him carry her off struck a chord. A mystery was a foot and they all were thinking the same thing. How to get to the bottom of it.
The wind picked up in a sudden blast. Its roaring thunder shook the mast and brought them to the end of their turn. Now they were in roughly the same spot when they started. Wind had used his windwaker to correct his sudden turn. He looked to the others who were too far away to what hoping they'd say something. It was ridiculous to stay quiet while the captain was so obviously trying to figure out what was the hot topic. He called down to the group below. Warrior and Time looked over while Four followed Sky back down.
“You go below deck and get dry.” Time smiled and smacked Warrior on the back. The captain smiled and nodded. “I’ll go talk to Wind and fill him in on what happened. Send someone back up when we figure out what went wrong.”
“Is she ok?” The captain yelled.
“She will be,” Time said. Already deciding that he would make sure she was ok. There was no other option. “She will be.”
. . .
“Thank you.” The kid placed her bowl down. It was dried lentils with some dried meat served. dry bread. The water they had was clean but The rancher gave you some milk instead. You ate everything down. Even went back for seconds. Wild was happy you liked his cooking and Hyrule was beside himself with your recovery. Wild picked up your plate. Moving to give you another helping. “Oh! I'm not hungry anymore- thank you though.”
He nodded and put the ladle down. Carefully eyeing you to make sure you weren't just turning down the hospitality. Didn't seem the type or get upset over others sharing. He was just happy you enjoyed it. It seemed like you needed it. From what you told the others about your journey before meeting them you were mostly on your own.
You did not travel far. Being alone on the road was tougher than you expected but that was alright. You’re safe now. You had told your story of how you had created that accident that sent you over. It all made sense from what they knew. Legends were unclear as to how the triforce worked. regardless, you were too young to be all by yourself.
“If you want anymore just let one of us know.” Hyrule commented. Kids need their food to grow. Hyrule had done what he could for you. Not much water had made its way to your lungs. You have been lucky. Healing wise there was little to be done besides patch up small cuts and bruises. A mixture of travelling on the road and childish mistakes had landed you with a few injuries. In his expert opinion you would be fine.
The fall from earlier had left you exhausted. It wasn't late enough for anyone else to be sleeping, but it brushed up against you. Taking hold and slowly dragging you under as you stretched and yawned. Twilight moved his cloak over to cover you. The fur was warm. Sky glared at Twilight. He was going to offer you his sailcloth but wasn't quick enough. The rancher didn't even acknowledge the other man. He was too busy keeping a close eye on you.
You laid your head against his shoulder. Settling in for a spell. It was warm here. Twilight ran a hand over your head. This reminded him of the kids in Ordon. The young ones he used to care for and protect. He kept them safe even when the twilight invaders tore through the land. It was good news that you were awake and ok. Warrior did a great job pulling you up, but if only he was there sooner. Maybe he could have helped as well.
There was still a pit in his stomach. The idea of you being put in danger because no one was there to protect you, or even to offer you aid made him rage. No kid should be left alone to fight for themselves. It was fortunate that you fell here. This had to have been an act of fate. A blessing for the group.
Sky was sending daggers Twilights way. Hyrule and Four sat between the two of them. Separating Sky from the sweet soul who had crashed into their group. He was sitting closer but when he got up to go retrieve his sailcloth from his pack hsi spot was stolen. Hyrule could be excused because he was the healer, but the other two had no excuse! Even if the rancher was great with kids.
A twinge of guilt and wounded pride, along with jealousy hit him and he tugged off a piece of bread. Biting into it to eat away his guilt. He had to get up again to go talk to Wind. He was stuck up on the deck steering the ship. It wasn't good to leave him all alone but everyone wanted to stick by the new member.
Warrior and Sky had promised to head back up to relieve him of duty. Wind still had to eat after all. Sky  just had to finish eating. Normally he couldn't stand to be below deck. It was uncomfortable. Caves, caverns, or anyplace that hid him from the sky. It caused some small part of him to get claustrophobic. Plus he needed the fresh air.
In truth, in this moment, he dreaded going back up. He was eating slowly, drawing out the time he had left just so he could keep an eye on you. The others would do a good job watching over you he knew that. It was just so frustrating. Watching you fall when he was right there. Maybe if he was faster, maybe if his body was better at preventing calamity instead of just fighting it he could have made sure you never got hurt.
He ate the rest of his food in silence. The captain was already done eating and was waiting for him to be done. Once finished Sky gestured to him and they both got up to leave. Putting their plates with the rest to be cleaned when the meal was over. They went up to the deck in silence. Everyone was silent the moment you laid your head down. Protecting the peace so you could get your rest.
Even with what you explained about your triforce it was hard to figure out exactly what it did or what its properties were. You didn't look like someone ripped right out a page of legends. You looked like them. Back when they all first stepped out for their adventures. Quiet, innocent, and unaware of all the dangers that came from having the triforce linked to you. It was a long and dangerous road ahead and they only found each other after they had passed through it all. You however, were only beginning. It didn't have to be like that for you.
Everyone here had carried with them the burden of being chosen by the goddesses and the triforce they created. They all knew how heavy the weight was for someone so young. You were a child growing up and now you had a whole new world thrown on top of the one you were still trying to navigate. The weight wouldn’t crush you, it never did, but carrying it never got easier. You just learned to manage it better.
Not to mention that this was without the issue of people trying to take the triforce piece from you. Hunting you down or having others do it for them. Always knowing that without the support of the kingdom it would be all the harder. You didn't have Zelda to help. You were alone. No older than Wind or Hyrule when they started their adventures. You were a child.
Not only did every single one of them there have a duty to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, they were all in the same spot as you at one point. Sacred, alone, and fighting to keep themselves and others safe. It was true they didn't know what your powers were. That didn't matter. You had passed out from overextending yourself. Teleporting somewhere safe using your powers was impressive. It also would have killed you if they weren't right there.
It wasn't blind luck. You had sensed that it was a safe place and had tried to put yourself onto the deck but it was too difficult. The boat was moving too fast and you couldn't see what was going on. Your powers had pointed you to them. Your life would never be the same. They would keep you with them. Train and guide you and keep you safe from everyone.
The goddesses put you here for a reason. You were their charge now.
They would keep you safe. They would protect you.
Footsteps ran across the deck and into the deck below. Wind came running up and almost crashed into Hyrule as he fell down. He took Sky’s spot as it was closest to their new arrival. He had made a joke earlier, calling you an attempted stowaway which he thought was very funny- but it earned him a scowl from Time. They were so overbearing!
He had to steer the boat the whole time you were down here. He would have abandoned his post just to come say hi. It was good he didn't. Those two tok their sweet time but now that he was here he could hardly complain. It was going to be so much fun having another kid around. He was getting tired, always being treated like a baby sucked.
Wind stared at you. His footsteps echoed in the wooden hull. They were made all the louder by the absolute silence that had fallen on the group once you closed your eyes. Their unanimous decision to stay silent went out the port hole the moment you opened your eyes back up. That silent vow was broken the moment you woke up.
“You're awake!” Wind was loud. Like all kids who were really excited were. It couldn't be helped; he had a lot more energy than the others. Time went to shoosh Wind but stopped the moment he saw you open your eyes. You were wide eyed before smiling. You rubbed some sleep out of your eyes.
“I wasn't going to fall asleep.” You grabbed Twilight's cloak. Pulling it tighter around you. It was warmer than the air outside was.
“Good! I have a lot I want to talk about.” Wind began.
“Should we wait on questions until she’s feeling better?” Hyrule asked.
“I'm not going to question her! I just want to ask a few things!”
“That's the same thing Wind” Legend pointed out. He was about ready for a nap himself. He thought about pulling you over to the sleeping area so you could fall asleep in a proper bed, or at least what came close to it here, but wanted to wait until the group dispersed again. No point in trying to wrestle you away. Everyone was so overprotective.
“No it’s not!” Wind looked over to his new friend. “Where are you from?”
“I’m not from this Hyrule but my home isn't far.” You have already answered this question. It was one of the first things you were asked when you woke up. Truth be told you didn't want to go home. It was dangerous. And too far away to even think about.
“How far away?” Wind asked again. Still bright eyed and super excited. The quiet and almost sombre mood was lost to him. Not that he didn't care, he just couldn't sense it. He was too happy to have another kid here. Hopefully with another one in the group Time would lessen up and stop being so grumpy all the time.
“Wind! She's trying to sleep.” Legend didn't want anyone to play twenty questions when you were so tired.
“We can take you home if you want.” Four said. Already hating himself for suggesting it. What if you said yes? It was a reaction to suggest it.
“I've already asked them this.” Twilight said. He brushed some of the hair out of your face. You looked up at him and then to the group. They all smiled warmly. You were part of their group now. Naturally wherever you went they would follow. The soft fur around your shoulders was a comfort. You didn't respond.
“I don't think they want to go home.” Twilight pulled you close in a one armed hug. He didn't need to know any more than that. None of them did.
“You can stay here as long as you’d like.” Time said. He was ecstatic at the news and tried not to show it. He didn't want to leave you on your own or with people he didn't know. It would break his heart to have to leave you with people who weren't capable of giving you a guiding hand.
“I didn't mean to imply anything. I don't want you to think that I, or anyone, would want you gone.” Four nodded and quickly amended his statement. He didn't want you to think any of them were trying to kick you out already.
“Stay here with us for as long as you’d like!” Wind said, almost yelling again.
“I think I speak for everyone when I say we're glad to have you with us.” Everyone nodded in support of Wild’s statement. The cook had been quiet up to now. He was worried sick when you were first brought down. He hadn't left your side at all since you showed up. Quietly watching to make sure you were ok.
“You're in our care now.” Hyrule said. You muttered a small bit of thanks before closing your eyes again. Wind moved over to your free side and rested his head against yours. Twilight moved his arm to wrap around the two of you and smiled. It felt like home.
. . .
“Checkmate!”
“This is checkers.” Four looked over to Wind. The sailor was obviously joking. He had managed to take one of your pieces and was celebrating the victory. Holding his hand in the air he held up your piece as high as he could. You made your move. Taking one of his pieces in turn.
“This isn't chess so we dont crown them do we?” you asked.
“I think you do…” Four said.
“Only if they make it all the way across enemy lines.” Legend chimed in.
“Then that means-” Wind flipped his piece over to reveal the side of his piece that had a sigil of a crown carved into it. “-I have stolen the power.”
“You stole it? From where!” You said. Looking over. You were in the lead and winning, even if it was because he was going easy on you.
“Doesn't matter from where because I'm a pirate. I leave my mark wherever I go.” You laughed. Wind was happy to have someone to mess around with. He didn't realise how much he missed being a bigger brother until you came around. He was so used to being the youngest member that having you around freed him of that. It didn't free him from dish duty.
Everyone felt the cheer you brought along with them. Warrior, Sky, and Time were the ones who dotted on you the most. Sky was always slipping you treats he picked up from town and carving you out toys. Like this board game he made. It was a miniature checkers board that he made by hand for you to play with. It wasn't the only item he made but it was your favourite by far.
Warrior had been the one to save you, a fact he wasn't afraid to use in arguments when it came down to it. No fight had broken out in a few weeks but it didn't stop him from always treating you like a kid who would trip and break all of their bones. He knew he was too worried about you but he couldn't help it. He knew how hard it could be to grow up on your own.
He had promised himself that he wouldn't let anything bad happen to you ever again. He was always by your side and when he wasn't watching over you Time was giving him a glare from across the camp. Time was a lot like Warrior but more calm. He was a kid once too. He grew up around other children and knew how important climbing up a tree and scraping your knees were for a child's growth.
While Sky doted on you, Warrior was always three steps behind, and Time kept a careful watch while giving you the space needed to move at your own pace.
“Did you steal something from the last town we were in?” You asked. It was a genuine question. Poking to see if he had taken something without sharing.
“No! I don't take from just anyone. Those townsfolk did nothing to us so we let them pass.” Wind gestured for you to take your turn so he could make his next move. He wasn't sure if he wanted to move his new piece or to crown another. He kept forgetting he had to go easy. He didn't want to lose or give up the fight too easily but he didnt want you to grow frustrated and quit.
“Really? Because I swear I saw you swipe something from the guard tower.” Wild said. Pointing at his pack where he had placed the item. Wind paused. He had forgotten about that. You looked up at him and silently moved a piece across a space. Staring at him with a look that said ‘I told you so’. Before looking over to Wild who was watching the match while fixing his armour.
Wild had taken up the role of an older sibling. Much like Wind and Twilight. Difference was, was that he didn't grow up around other kids. He didn't remember the time he grew up. He knew he was different from the others, more rambunctious and wild, but even Time didn't mind his antics. Wind had his sister and Twilight had Ordon. They both were used to kids younger than them and knew how to help.
Even with his disadvantage you always smiled at him. You enjoyed seeing what he was up to and it made him happy. He felt like he had a home again. He even got to drag you along into his safer antics. The old man kept watch while he let you ride with him on the master cycle zero. It was faster than the horse's rancher had shown you and more fun in his opinion.
“What was it?” You leaned conspiratorially to Wind. As if sharing a conversation only the two of you could hear. Even though most of the group was listening in at this point.
“I'm not telling you that!”
“What was it?” You asked again, this time more quiet. Wind caved and leaned in as well. Talking in a quiet voice he said something inaudible. He put a finger to his lips and made a quiet ‘shush’ sound. Acting like he just revealed the grand secret he went back to the game.
“What did he take?” Twilight leaned over to Wild. Wild shrugged in response. He didn't see what it was. Probably an apple or something. They were in the storage room snooping around.
“It was probably nothing important. Please don't take things like Wind does.” Hyrule said. He was hoping that you wouldn't take anything like the others tended to and was sure you would be fine.
Legend looked over to Wind and mouthed ‘what was it’ only to be met with a shrug. The group went silent and the game went on. Wind taking something wasn't a big deal but making sure you were raised under good influences was. Not that any of them thought the others were a threat, rather it was a precaution. If you got in trouble they would have to tear the city apart looking for you. Hyrule watched the game continue with vested interest. He wanted to challenge you after Wind was done but it looked like the group would go back to walking after this match.
Legend, Hyrule, and Four had taken up the roles of both parents who were going to dote on you and siblings who had your back in trouble. Four loved to get into trouble with you and Wind. It was surprising that Legend and Hyrule wound up in this spot as well. Hyrule knew that the group must be so suffocating for a young kid and often took you out on walks and helped give you alone time.
As alone you could be. One of the boys had to be by your side at all times. To make sure you were safe. Hyrule made sure you had your time to relax and wander without going too far. He loved to teach you about the flowers in each region and what they could be used for. You took to nature like a fish to water. Always asking questions and helping him pick suitable flowers.
Legend was trying his best to be the cool uncle. Someone you could look up to without coming off as someone who would shut the fun down. The three dads of the group harked on you so much it was a wonder how you ever got out of their sight. When you did he was more than happy to let you wander as long as you brought someone else with you. Kids were independent. He knew what that was like.
The game ended as soon as you took Wind’s last piece. Cleaning up the pieces you put them all away in your pouch before Sky picked you up. Putting you on his shoulders as he and the rest of the group went back to the road. No matter how far or long you walked you never complained. You hardly ever had to walk as it was. Someone was always carrying you or willing to pick you up.
It was strangely peaceful here. Even though the group was hunting down monsters and constantly getting into fights they somehow always managed to have you avoid it. Either by taking you away to a remote and more safe area or by dispatching the monsters before you got a good look at them. They carved out a peaceful life on the road for you to enjoy. It was the least they could do to the member who brought so much life to their party.

Honkai Star Rail Ficlet Series Collection Post
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just a collection post of all the stories written for my daily-ish challenge of writing a little narrative around HSR characters. Character names are put on a wheel and spun, and then a prompt is generated from a drabble prompt generator to serve as a jumping off point. Originally the idea was to write a story in 200 words or less, but by Sushang I made the executive decision to write until the single scene felt "done."

Day Nineteen: Taken
“The stranger seems quite taken with her, no?”
Koana’s tone was low and studied, arms crossed across his chest as he watched the impromptu celebrations below. He and his unmatchable sister had been crowned as Heads of Reason and Resolve a full day prior, and the celebrations weren’t showing any signs of flagging. The streets were full of dancing and music, faces lit up with laughter in a way that warmed the private, secret recesses of his academic heart.
These were the people that Lamaty’i had been speaking so warmly of all along. These were the ones that she would grow and love and fight for.
He was immeasurably grateful that he hadn’t taken too long to see it too.
But that wasn’t his focus tonight. Tonight, he was focused on the revelry, and the celebration…and the champion that his sister had brought from across the Salt to support her.
More specifically, the stranger at her side, who’d arrived by ship only a few days prior.
In the flickering lamplight, with coloured lanterns dancing bright across her skin, the Eorzean hero moved with a lightness of foot that he’d already begun to associate with her in battle. She didn’t dance, not truly; not in the thick of the crowds, where the mezcal had been flowing freely, and hands had gone wandering in time to the beat. Still, she was sure and graceful, moving around her partner, linked by their entwined fingers only. They seemed to have eyes only for each other, regardless of the party around them, and Koana’s shoulders tightened involuntarily.
The stranger had arrived quietly a few mornings prior, without fanfare and without announcement. Since he’d come from across the Salt, he’d apparently been taken in to speak with Gulool Ja Ja not long after his arrival. Their audience was private, but the fact that the stranger had been summoned at all was buzzed about throughout the markets and residences – not in the least because of the newcomer’s unquestionable good looks.
Koana watched him with a critical eye, sharp on the two of them despite how they kept to the fringes of the crowd, private except for those who thought to watch. He’s nothing to write home about, he reassured himself. He’s certainly far more…shoulders than the scholarly types in Sharlayan.
Types, he refused to admit to himself, that he hoped the champion would lean towards, rather than the sort of looks this salted stranger had. The kind that all the young girls of Tuliyollal seemed to already be fawning over, despite him, oddly, never looking twice at a single one of them.
From his perch above the beach, he watched the warrior move absently to the rhythm of the drums, her bare feet sinking into the cool, dark sand while the sun sank beneath the sea beyond. There was something delicate and forbidden about her bare ankles, pale and lovely in the setting sunlight, that made him want to look away.
But her fingers were still laced with the stranger’s, and he pulled her gently towards him by those fingertips alone.
And she didn’t resist, even when they pressed palm to palm. She turned his face upwards towards him, and her expression caught in Koana’s throat.
Gone was the cold, impassable stance that he had grown so used to on her, the one that he so enjoyed puzzling out. Gone was the guard in her eyes, the hardness to her lips. If she hadn’t known this man before, she knew him now, and in his presence she softened like a flower, blooming into a sort of loveliness in the rising moonlight that the Head of Reason couldn’t tear his eyes away from.
By then, he’d forgotten he’d spoken, but his sister wasn’t one to let a conversation linger and rest in silence. At his side, she peered thoughtfully down at the pair, her ears twitching as she examined the sight before her, her nails drumming rapidly on the railing before them.
“I like him!” She declared brightly after a moment, arching back as though to stretch, her grin spreading wide. “He looks at her the right way, you know? Maybe she’s finally met someone.” Lamaty’i’s smile was bright and cheerful. “It would be good for her to relax, I think.”
At her side, Koana made a quiet, noncommittal noise. His eyes never left the hero’s face, even as his stomach plummeted with a disappointment that he didn’t know how to name.
