#literally impossible for anyone to look inside our apartment
running-in-the-dark · 2 months
Text
okay, so I've been to our new apartment twice now (once when we got the keys, but it was dark and the landlord was there too; and we went back this morning for several hours).
I really like it, it's a lovely space, it's big enough, everything is great. except. we're on the ground floor and the side our apartment is on means that 1. you can look right into our bathroom from the carport, and 2. you can look right into the bedrooms when you're walking to the front door.
and that really unsettles me. obviously we'll do something about it (we'll put a window film of some sort on the bathroom window + curtains too probably, and curtains for the bedrooms).
but. I don't know if that'll be enough to get it out of my head? I have always been very paranoid about being watched, so, I don't know if just knowing that theoretically people could look in would be an issue...

I've never been this close to leaving tumblr forever than I am now. Y'all are so humanistic, so righteous and merciful, when it's not your country that is being bombed into the stone age, not your people tortured, executed, shot and thrown into a mass grave with their hands tied simply for being citizens of a certain country, speaking a certain language. Not your babies being torn apart by missiles, buried under rubble. Not your relatives held in one of the many torture dungeons, being electrocuted through wires attached to their genitals. Not your houses leveled down, burned with everything inside, every little thing you loved or cared for.
Hell, we can even tone it down a notch. It's not you who is being left without electricity and water, without heating in winter, because it's not you who russia is trying to beat/freeze into submission. It's not you going to bed to the sound of an air raid siren and wondering if you'll wake up tomorrow. It's not you receiving insults, slurs and threats from russians. No, they probably don't have any problem with you, but even if they do, luckily for you, you don't speak russian. Because if you did, you could go to literally any place they hang out, any voice or text chat, any social media and ask them yourself. If only you'd spoke Russian, you could ask them what they think about the genocide carried out by their country, their people. And then you wouldn't have any more questions. Then you wouldn't dare to say it's "racist" to call russians what they are - murderers, thieves and their accomplices.
I never said that all russians support this war, this genocide. And I will never say it, it's just statistically impossible. But many of them do, and another large portion simply doesn't care, which in my opinion is even worse. I have less disgust and hatred for russians who say: "go-go pootin, all khokhols must die", then to those who mumble: "I'm not into politics". Because you can't afford to stay neutral and passive when your country is trying to obliterate an entire nation.
You know, those missiles that kill our people and destroy our infrastructure, they are launched from "peaceful" russian cities. Warplanes that fly to kill us fly - they fly over the heads of the "innocent" russians, who are filming it on their phones and cheering on. The only times they would be sad or pissed about it is when those planes suddenly crush on their homes. Or when something flies into their city in exchange for those missiles that flew out of there. This is when they get mad and demand to kill us more effectively.
Lately we are seeing many protests from the mothers and wives of those "poor" russian men who have been drafted into army. Do you know what they are protesting against? Of course you don't, because you don't speak russian, you don't care enough to find out. No, they aren't protesting against the war, genocide, bombings of cities of a neighboring country. They don't demand for the war to end. They demand that their sons and husbands not be sent to the very front line, they demand that they be placed on the 2-3 line of defense, where it is safe. Or they demand better equipment for their men, again, to kill the citizens of a neighboring country more effectively. Because they are not against the genocide, they just don't want their men to hurt during it. Those of us who understand russian language don't need to look at any polls and statistics. We can just ask them ourselves, and we hear their responds very clearly. Even from our own relatives who live in russia or from our former friends. And I wouldn't wish this horrible realization on anyone. Now there are more and more russians who don't support this war. Because they are losing it. They would have absolutely no problem with it if they could "take Kyiv in two days" as was planned. But now they have regrets.
I'm not asking you to blame and ostracize all russians. That's not the point I'm making here. But maybe - just maybe - you can't forgive people for things they didn't do to you? Maybe you can't be forgiving on behalf of others? If you live somewhere in the US, the russians can never harm you, your city will not be bombed, your relatives won't be kidnapped and tortured. Of course you don't hate them, of course you don't condemn them - it's not because you are morally superior - it's because you literally don't have to suffer from their aggression, either physical nor verbal. Your life isn't constantly endangered because of this particular country and people. Of course you can forgive and defend them all you want, and pat yourself on the head afterwards. Such a nice kind human being you are, not at all insensitive.
It's not like there are people who lost their homes, their loved ones. People living under constant shelling, without power and heat, people who survive day after day against all odds. But those people aren't as merciful as you. Only you are the beacon of humanism in this unfair world, good for you.

Topped Gear - Alpha Bucky/Omega Tony
Bucky/Tony; Rated Explicit ; 4,500 words
-------
Tony wiped away a layer of sweat from his brow as he rolled himself out from underneath the sedan. It was his last tune up for the evening, and that usually meant he was already thinking about dinner waiting in the freezer upstairs, and the latest episode of Top Gear sitting on his DVR. But tonight there was an itch under his skin that he just couldn’t shake. His appetite seemed completely absent too, so instead of walking over to the stairs that lead up to his apartment, he picked up his phone to turn on some music and work on his passion project: restoring a 1952 Chevy 3100.
The screen on his phone had a few notifications. Three spam emails, one customer thanking him for an excellent paint job, and one message from James.
Top Gear tonight?
His friendship with James was one of the most unexpected surprises of opening his mechanic shop. Tony hadn’t known anyone in town, just needed real estate close enough to New York to manage a not-too-horrible drive back to his family's properties whenever they beckoned. James’ personal training studio had been open for a year at that point, and Tony poked his head inside to introduce himself to his new neighbor.
Tony hadn’t expected to find a drop dead gorgeous alpha with long hair and biceps the size of Delaware, but that was who greeted him, with a wide smile and a firm handshake. Over the years, they’d become close friends and in the last few months, Tony had started inviting him over to watch Top Gear after James had geeked out about it to Tony one evening.
In reality, Tony had been trying to make a move every evening since. Usually, Tony was fine with flirting and even known to lay it on strong. But James was his neighbor, his friend, and the words caught in his throat every time, not willing to risk the friendship they’d carved out for themselves.
Tony’s fingers flew over the screen, tapping out a reply.
Not feeling it but working on Elizabeth, if you want to swing by.
He pulled off his jacket, still feeling warm in just a tank top and joggers, so he walked over and opened the window to let the cool night air chill the sweat on his skin.
Be right over.
By the time James pushed open the workshop door, Tony was bent over Elizabeth’s hood, wrench in one hand and a rag in the other. He wasn’t in the zone enough to miss his friend's entrance though, so he pulled himself away from the truck’s frame and towards James’ winter forest scent. Breathing in the cool tones only seemed to highlight the warmth Tony couldn’t seem to shake. He used the rag to wipe his forehead.
James laughed. “You’re such a greasemonkey. Look at you, literally covered in it from head to toe.”
Tony knew his own scent shifted from a soft honey to a deeper maple at having James in his personal space. James never seemed to comment on the change in Tony’s scent. A part of Tony always wondered if it was because James didn’t see Tony in that light, if he was just being polite, or if it was because he really didn’t notice how Tony’s scent deepened, as if trying to pull James in.
Tonight though, James’ nostrils flared and his eyes widened. “Tony, you’re in preheat.”
Gripping his hand around the wrench, the metal dug into Tony's palm hard. That was the reason the hints of Tony’s distress mixed into the air, not at all because of James’ words.
“Impossible. I’m on suppressants. It’s just a bit hot in here, because--”
“Because, you’re in preheat. I can smell it.” He took a step back to the door. “I should--”

Outlast: Chapter Five (Sam Giddings x Reader)

1:03 ; Six hours until dawn
“Well that doesn’t look fucking creepy.”
Blackwood Sanitorium stands tall and proud in the distance. Although your vision is slightly skewed by the current weather, it was nearly impossible to miss its imposing presence.
You roll your eyes at Mike’s comment. “I really don’t think anyone’s going to be renovating a building like that.”
You were acutely aware of the long history behind Blackwood Sanitorium–it was something drilled into you when you had revealed to your parents where exactly the Washington’s vacation home had been. Mike was none the wiser, but you knew that it was probably for the better that no one went near that place to fix it up.
He shoves your shoulder. “You know what I mean. Besides, it makes sense that a dude like him is probably hiding out there.”
A rather strong gust of wind reminds you of your current predicament, and the time that the two of you are currently wasting with your petty arguments as the snow piles on.
“Come on. It’s just going to get harder to walk if we keep dilly dallying.”
“Dilly dallying? What are you, my mom?” Mike retorts.
“No, but I’ll be your stepmom when I’m done with her.” A moment of silence passes between the two of you until you both begin to laugh.
“It feels like forever since we’ve had a conversation like this.”
Knowing it’s partially your fault, you can’t help but feel guilty, especially hearing the glee in Mike’s voice. “Yeah,” you respond glumly.
You focus on lifting your legs up to navigate through the increased height of snow before speaking up again.
“So how have you been?” Mike gives you a surprised look. You realize that you haven’t actually asked Mike about himself, with your angsty grudge against him and all. But if the two of you were going to face the Sanitorium together, it was probably better to build up your relationship again. You did also really miss your friend, and you knew that Sam would chastise you if you kept your feelings to yourself once again.
“Oh, so now you want to know?” He raises an eyebrow at you, a smirk ghosting his face. You can tell by the tone that he’s being lighthearted about it, but it still stings. You bite the inside of your cheek and look down, not responding.
You can hear Mike sigh next to you. “I’ve been alright. I kind of distracted myself from everything by surrounding myself with people. Em and I weren’t doing too well, and it led to me getting closer to Jess. You know how the rest goes.”
“Huh. I wouldn’t have pegged you as a friendship destroyer.” You snort at your own quip.
Mike shakes his head. “Things were already tense between them, I think I was just another factor.” You nod in understanding before he changes the subject. “Okay, enough about my shit. What about you? Seems like you and Sam are getting really serious.”
You smile, never giving up the opportunity to talk about your girlfriend. “Hell yeah. We moved in together and all that shit. We’re super serious.”
“Damn.” Mike whistles. “And she’s okay with you drinking all the time?”
You freeze. “I mean, I don’t drink all the time.”
Mike deadpans. “Most of it.”
“Some of it.”
“Most.”
“Okay, okay, most of the time.” You concede. “It was getting better, you know. Just me and Sam in our cozy little apartment really eased my anxiety. But then we just got back here and it all came flooding back. And you’ve seen how this night’s been turning out.” you try to argue.
Mike isn’t buying it. “If you were literally any other person, I would not blame you for trying to get shitfaced tonight. But you’ve got to stop doing this to yourself.” He turns to you, his face serious. “Have you tried getting some actual help?”
You shift your gaze, avoiding eye contact with him. “Sam’s been trying to get me to do it but…I don’t know. I just don’t think it’ll do much. No one’s going to understand all of my baggage.” You’re pretty sure if you mention your upbringing and your newfound belief in what your parents have been warning you about you’d be hauled off to a mental institution without second thought.
“That’s because you need to let them.” Mike shifts the rifle in his hand so he can squeeze your shoulder. “You don’t let anyone in. I’ve known you forever and I still feel like you're a mystery. And I’m sure you didn’t tell Sam much more about it either.”
Your silence confirms his belief.
“You won’t get any better if you don’t let anyone understand.”
He was right, you knew that. But you also knew that none of your friends would believe you about the horrors that existed unless they saw for themselves. By the looks of it, that was most certainly happening tonight. You needed to focus on being prepared for whatever was to come, not your personal woes.
“Maybe.” You dismiss Mike’s comment and cross your arms around your upper body. “Let’s keep going.”
The two of you talk about mindless things for the rest of the walk, occasionally struggling with the heavy winds and snow. The thought of the night ahead lingers in the back of your mind as you finally approach the entrance of the sanatorium. Once you reach the entrance where you saw the stranger go through, the two of you peek in an opening of the door. You watch as the stranger throws food to the wolves and walk around a bit until he’s out of your limited view. The slam of a door only seconds later alerts you to his exit. At that point, Mike grabs the door handle before turning towards you.
“You ready?” He asks, preparing his rifle in his free hand.
“No need to be dramatic, Mr. Macho.” You roll your eyes and grab the handle from him. “Just stay quiet and don’t touch shit that looks like it shouldn’t be touched.”
You reach to open the door, anticipating the vulnerability you’ll face to whatever it was that was waiting for you inside.

1:11
Sam lets out a contented sigh as she sinks deeper into the warm bath water. It definitely felt great with the current weather, but Sam would’ve preferred if you were able to join her.
She tries to forget how long it’s been since you initially left, instead trying to soak up all the worries through the classical music blasting in her ears, an orchestral piece that the both of you enjoyed listening to during quiet afternoons at your apartment.
Suddenly, the snuff of the candles that line the bathtub alert her to another present, causing her to pause the music and pull out an earbud.
“Hello? Guys?” With no response, Sam pulls herself out of the tub and wraps herself in a white towel, looking around for her clothes but finding nothing but a single sock that she picks up with her index and thumb.
She clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes. This was really not the time where she wanted to be pranked by her friends. “Seriously not cool, guys. Not cool,” she shouts out, hoping they can hear her from wherever they’re hiding.
She heads downstairs to look for everyone—for anyone, at this point—uneasy about how quiet that lodge felt at that moment. “Chris? Mike? Emily?” She hesitates before calling out your name as well.
God, Sam really hoped you weren’t back and pulling shit like this on her. She would’ve much rather have been surprised by you sneaking in the bath with her, not stealing her clothes and leaving her feeling uncomfortable in the seemingly empty cabin.
But Sam knew you, and you wouldn’t pull something like this.
Sam’s forehead creases with worry as she makes her way down the stairs in search of whoever it was behind her clothes’ disappearing act. She heads to the cinema room, grabbing a flashlight before entering.
As she yells for her friends again, the doors to the cinema room slam shut, causing her to scream and spin around in a feeble attempt at locating the source of the disruption.
“Hello, Samantha. Looking for me? I don’t think you’ll have much luck by looking, Samantha.”
A modulated voice rings out in the cinema room through its speakers. Sam’s breath hitches as she stills in fear, unsure of what this person was doing. She attempts to shout in protest before they continue.
“You’re only going to see what I want you to see…and I have quite a lot to show you.”
“What’s going on?” Sam sputters, equally confused and petrified.
The screen turns on, and Sam sees herself—just moments ago—as she relaxes in the bathtub. Her hand holding the flashlight quivers as she can barely find the words to speak, horrified at some random stranger recording her without her knowledge. “Why are you showing this to me…?” she manages to get out, looking behind her to find this person once again.
“Why are you watching?”
As Sam turns back to the screen, the video flickers to Josh who was bound by his hands and screaming, a circular saw cutting him in half, innards spilling everywhere as he cries in agony.
“Josh!” Sam was absolutely horrified at the scene, tears forming in her eyes as her hands trembled. “What did you do?” she shouts, despite knowing it was hopeless.
“I’m going to give you ten seconds…nine…”
“No, no, no…” Sam panics, unsure what she should do.
“Seven.”
The man—the psycho bursts into the room, a hulking figure covered up by a menacing skull-like mask.
“Sam…” he draws out her name teasingly, mockingly.
By instinct, Sam grasps around for the first thing she can use as a defense. Her hand finds the touch of a ceramic vase and without hesitation she throws it at the psycho. It shatters against his arm as she runs towards the guest room.
Not wanting him to catch up, she jumps over the bed and out of the room just as he busts the door of the guest room open behind her.
She’s met with the basement stairs, hurriedly stepping down them as she remembers the broken step Josh mentioned earlier and avoids stepping on it.
She’s breathing heavily at this point, one hand holding the flashlight up and the other across her chest to ensure her towel doesn’t fall down. She briefly thinks about how impressed you’d be to hear her outrun this psycho in just her towel before hiding behind a nearby pillar and covering the flashlight.
As she hears the psycho enter, she takes a deep breath and tries to remember what you’d taught her about self defense.
“Sam? Why are you hiding?”
Your comforting voice in her head drowns out the cold, sinister one of the psycho. “When faced with an opponent who’s much larger and stronger than you, always use your surroundings to your advantage.”
Sam looks around frantically for anything to defend herself with to no avail. With no choice but to run, she tries to dodge the psycho but he grabs her from behind in a chokehold, lifting her off the ground as she kicks her feet against his legs, seeming to do little to free her.
As your words come back to her, she remembers Josh’s baseball bat that he had placed in this area from when they came down here to turn the boiler back on.
When the psycho forces a mask on her nose and mouth to gas her, Sam feels around for the bat, the cool wooden handle meeting her hand and she grips it tightly, whacking him upside the head and running away.
Sam approaches the next door only to be met with a roadblock. “Are you kidding me? No handle?” she shrieks in disbelief as she searches the ground for it.
In an attempt to buy herself more time, she pulls the wine storage down and the handle miraculously rolls out of it. She picks it up with haste and opens the door, slamming it just as the psycho reaches it.
As she turns towards the new room she’s in, quickly realizing it’s the laundry room, Sam keeps on going ahead, slamming her shoulder into the old door. She tumbles through the entranceway, the musty smell of this new place indicating that she’s in the old and abandoned Blackwood Pines Hotel.
Knowing that she won’t be able to outrun him for much longer, Sam drops down in an old elevator shaft and ducks down, hiding from the psycho’s view.
“Here, little kitty. Here, pussy pussy.”
Sam can hear his footsteps approaching her hiding place, and she frantically goes to hide the light shining from her flashlight. However, her trembling hands drop the flashlight and she curses at the loud noise.
In an instant, the psycho snatches her by her hair, tugging her head back to force the mask back onto her face.
“Little birdie unhappy in her cage?”
Sam makes hopeless attempts to grab at him as she feels her consciousness fading out, and her last thoughts are only about you and your own safety, all alone in the desolate woods.

1:48
The door was locked.
You were starting to get deja vu.
Your presence in front of yet another locked door leads your thoughts to shift to Sam, slightly bummed out that you definitely weren’t going to be able to join that bath with her. You hoped that she wasn’t too upset about how long it was taking you to return to the lodge.
Mike’s eyes shift towards your pouting face, a quizzical expression plastered on his own. But he knew not to question your peculiar actions by now, and he ignored your antics in search of another way in, walking back the way you two came.
You follow him, keeping your eyes peeled for anything dangerous. This place was incredibly run down, and no doubt was a safety hazard especially with you and him coming along and moving things around.
“This place is falling apart,” Mike comments as some ash crumbles above the two of you. “The fuck happened here?”
“Mining accident,” you respond as you pass him. “Whole lotta shit went down after that.” You kick around some gravel with the toe of your boot.
He raises an eyebrow, turning to you. “And you know that how?”
You roll your eyes. “You asked, bud. I just answered.” You walk back the way you came, looking for another entrance you could go through. A doorway labeled Admin catches your attention, and you nudge Mike as you head towards it. “Let’s try here.”
He follows behind you, holding the lamp out to give better lighting in the dim corridor. The room is barren like you anticipated, dirty books and notes strewn about. You and Mike walk through, finding all sorts of documents from years ago detailing all the shit that went down at Blackwood Mountain. All the same details that you’ve gotten from your parents.
“Shit,” you mutter under your breath, low enough that Mike doesn’t notice your concern. Your parents being right about this meant they were probably right about everything else you were told about Blackwood Mountain. A threat you weren’t sure you could defeat.
“Hey, come look at this.” Mike calls out, and you realize that you didn’t even notice him leaving the room. As you approach, you see he’s pointing out a sign for a morgue.
You crinkle your nose. “Ugh. I bet it stinks in there.”
Mike ignores you as he carries on. You sigh, more prepared now for what you may find. Mike picks up a medical report, and when you peek over his shoulder you see it’s for the mining accident.
“You were right,” he says, sensing your presence above him.
“Course I was,” you respond curtly. Your searching leads to a staircase, way too dark for you to see down. “Come on, Mike, I need your light.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
The building gets even mustier as you walk downstairs, a good sign you were getting closer to the morgue. Next to you, Mike opens a door that wasn’t fully closed due to a table blocking it. A machete is lodged into the top of the wood. He pulls it out, brandishing it as you take a step back. “Nice,” he hisses.
“Careful with that thing.” You push the sharp blade away from your face with a finger, noticing the dried blood on it. “Let’s keep going. We need to get back to the lodge.”
Nothing catches your eye in the rest of the dingy rooms except for a single scrap paper—another incident report, listing twelve survivors received at the sanatorium.
You bite your lip, the paper slightly crumbling in your hand as your grip tightens. Twelve was a lot. You silently hoped that there weren’t that many still…around.
You hear Mike faintly from another room, probably talking to himself as he likes to do quite often.
“What are you doing over there?” you exclaim, following his voice.
“Check this thing out.” He points to an odd contraption in the middle of the room. A fake hand moves back and forth mechanically. He goes to grab the tag that’s attached to it, but your mind is on high alert. You snatch his wrist, pulling him back
“What the fuck was that for?” he shouts at you, rubbing his wrist once you let go. “That thing is clearly a trap, doofus.” You throw a random syringe from a nearby cart at it and Mike jumps as a bear trap comes from below, snapping shut furiously.
“...Thanks, for that.” You hear Mike say, though your mind is all scattered now, on high alert of any other dangers that could be around.
He calls out your name softly, bringing your attention back to him. “You good?” he asks.
You give him a halfhearted smile. “Yeah. Just really want to get back to the lodge.”
“Well you don’t have to worry about that for too much longer.” Mike pulls a security card out of his pocket. “This’ll get us in that Chapel.”
You look at him quizzically. “When did you snatch that up?”
“Just before.” He shrugs. “It was with one of the corpses.”
You glance over your shoulder at the body drawers, noticing one slightly ajar. “You went through the bodies? Gross,” you remark. You grab the pass from him and make your way over to the Chapel door. The pass works, and the two of you continue up the stairs until one of the wolves that was with the stranger intercepts you.
It releases a deafening bark, and begins to chase you.
“Oh shit!” Mike calls out, and two of you book it. The wolf is close on your heels, but the two of you are miraculously faster. You're able to shut a door right before he reaches you, Mike in front of you bending over and letting out heaving breaths.
“God damn…” he wheezes out, hands on his hips. You grab the lamp he set down and continue ahead. “How the fuck are you not about the puke your guts out right now?” Mike asks you, perplexed.
You shrug. “Probably the adrenaline.” You turn, seeing that Mike hasn’t moved from his spot. You nod your head towards the way of the Chapel entrance. “Come on, we’ve got shit to do.”
“You’re insane.”
“Thank you.”
Once you reach the original door, you’re happy to see that the security pass worked. “In and out, Mike, got it?” You aren’t able to get a response because the wolf, the same one from just a few minutes ago, jumps out again in front of you.
“Where the fuck do you keep coming from?” you shout, exasperated, as Mike gets into a defensive stance.
“Easy there, bud,” he coaxes gently. The two of you shuffle slowly into the room as the wolf backs down. While Mike tries to approach it again and be friendly, you search the room for any kind of food so that it wouldn’t attack you guys. You find a bone in a chest, throwing it over to Mike and the wolf, with which it happily snatches it, tail wagging furiously.
“There we go,” you smirk. Mike rubs its head affectionately, you mimicking his movement after.
Mike finds a pistol and some ammo among piles of junk that the Chapel holds, causing you to sigh as he pockets yet another weapon that he’ll probably be careless about.
“Wow, leaving me defenseless here. What a gentleman.”
Mike glares at you and reluctantly pulls the machete from where it was resting against his jeans holding it out to you. “I’m sure you can handle this shit on your own, though.”
“Totally. But I’m not letting you keep all of the cool shit.” You grab the machete from him, making sure not to hold it out in front of your face like Mike did earlier.
Nothing else catches your attention as the two of you continue through the sanitorium, going down more flights of stairs until you and Mike reach a standstill with a locked gate in your path.
Mike doesn’t hesitate as he shoots the lock off, just as he’d done with other doors before, knocking a barrel out of the way as he does so as to not hit it.
You think to look at the barrel that he just knocked over, breath hitching as you spot the flammable liquid label as the barrel rolls around. Your eyes widen and you reach your arm out to stop your friend from entering through the gate.
Sparks from the shot hit the ground, and you're now aware of the many, many barrels that surround the two of you.
“Wait, fuck, Mike, no—!” You only manage to utter out a few words before Mike opens the gate, and within seconds you’re thrown back and your vision is encased in black.

You know, there are at least one thousand things about the season finale of TOH that I can pick apart and analyze. But no, I just want to talk about the ending.
Tumblr media
Those stances. The way our gang were standing… I mean whoever animated that shot alone deserves a raise. Those stances scream everything. You guys know I'm a sucker for analyzing body language, so let's dive in:
Willow: Her just standing there with a hand on her arm, while her expression has a hint of sadness/shock. Given everything that she and her friends have just gone through, it's understandable. From the framing, it looks like she's standing behind Amity, almost as if she's afraid of what's behind that door. I think she might not trust who's behind that door, as this is her first time venturing into a realm that's normal. I feel like she's in shock, because immediately going from a place where she's fighting for her life, to being invited into a safe place to rest/gather herself is a complete 180⁰. I also see total physical and emotional exhaustion. I mean, this girl just exerted all her strength into fighting.
Amity: Shocked, but composed and postured. She doesn't really know what to feel or expect. She knows this is the first time meeting her girlfriend's mother, and despite being battered and bruised, she needs to make a good first impression. Though, despite all this, her expression is blank. She left behind not only her home, but siblings and father, while not knowing if they survived the Draining Spell or not. Heavy burden to carry, but she knows she's in a position where she can't do much. She can't go back nor can she contact them. So for now, making a good impression on Luz's mother would be sufficient enough.
Luz: Dejected. Defeated. Almost empty inside. She, firsthand, just witnessed King sacrifice himself to save them, all with the full intention of sacrificing herself too. She doesn't know if Eda, Hooty, Lilith or anyone is okay, and now she left what is essentially her little brother in the hands of The Collector. And looking back on Luz's expressions while being in the presence of The Collector, we know that he absolutely terrifies her. And Luz has had her fair share of scary situations.
When her mother first opens the door, it takes her a while to register that her mother is standing in front of her. We all know Luz is a sucker for hiding her emotions under fake smiles, and that's exactly what she does. When she looks up to see her mother for the first time in months, she tries putting on a brave face. She dons a weak smile, because she owes it to her. Camilla doesn't know what's been going on, and Luz knows she needs to convince her mother that despite these bruises and injuries… she's home.
Gus: This one absolutely broke me. The way he's shivering, looking small and innocent. The way he looks at Camila for any hope or answers. It's just very eye opening considering his role in the episode—the entire episode, Gus was acting as a sort of big brother/protector for King. Asking King if he was okay, calling him buddy, and reassuring him that everything was okay when they weren't. Just the little things. Gus had to be strong for King's sake.
So, to see the literal support system of this episode break down into tears is stunning. We've all been assuming Gus was the strong one, but when he realizes what just happened—the fact that his friends, family, are at home left behind to endure an impossible to predict future—it hits him hard. He does what anyone would do, and cries. Gus was the first one to break down, collapsing onto his knees in anguish. He's the first to begin crying, and letting loose everything pent up inside.
Hunter: I loved his expression. The way he was trying to be strong for Gus' sake, with his arm wrapped around his shoulder, comforting him? It's almost hard to remember all the shit he's just gone through: he just witnessed his "uncle" (yes, he's a dick, but there's definitely still some feelings there) Belos being annihilated by this assumed child with godlike powers, had to walk in his remains to get to safety, and this isn't even taking into consideration Hunter's general trauma.
So, it's safe to say season 2 ended off with a literal bang. I love the subtle details. Everything about this episode was *chefs kiss*.

The long road of how starting a fight with superman over clone parenting eventually lead to Danny Phantom become God Part 6: Family time
https://archiveofourown.org/works/47818321/chapters/122704474
It was a half hour later and Superman, Dinah, and Constantine were discussing how the session went after Jazz and Conner left.
“I can’t believe you promoted someone who punched a client!” Clark said.
“It was involuntary mate, you harmed her brother and the king of the infinite realms,” Constantine said.
“Last I checked he did the harming,” Clark said bitterly.
“You literally asked about his death, now what did my little presentation for the JL say about asking that and what can happen?” Constantine chided as Superman grumbled his answer.  Before he further berate the man of steel something went off in his mind.
“I gotta go, Bruce is calling.”
“I didn’t hear your phone, John," Dinah said.
“I gave Brucie a totem to break if he was in a really bad supernatural situation and needed me immediately.”
“We’re coming with…” Superman declared
“No, you’re not. Something tells me that would just make things worse.” John said leaving through a portal.
Jack and Maddie came bursting in showing off their latest captured ghost with proud grins.  They were testing out a new type of large containment device that would allow them to study ghosts in real-time.
Jazz’s hands went straight to her mouth, her eyes wide, glowing, and dripping tears of rage.  Bruce turned to look at Danny who was wide-eyed as his eyes began to change, his hair whitening as he looked at the small white-haired ghost in the container.  He was breathing to try and calm himself down.
“Daddy help!” Danielle screamed as the containment device shocked her until she passed out...
All light ceased to exist in that room all anyone could see was an endless black.
“Danny no!” Jazz’s voice went hoarse as she attempted to get her brother to hear her.  However, she received no response.  She heard what sounded like a twig breaking before the entire room erupted in a torrent of ectoplasmic fire.  Now that she could see she saw something nobody who knew the phantoms would ever think possible.  Amidst the burning flames was Vlad Plasmius pinning Jack and Maddie to the wall, flames pouring off his body, eyes glowing bright red.  Danny stood before the containment device as the glass on it shattered into dust.  Bruce, Barb, and Jazz shielded their eyes from the blast.
“Wisconsin ghost,” Jack managed to choke out only for Plasmius to tighten his grip.  Danny gently pulled the unconscious Danielle out of the containment field as glowing vines began to fill the room unaffected by the flames.
The kitchen table turned into a soft bed which he set Danielle in so she could rest.  Sam and Tucker came through the front door.  Sam’s eyes were bright green as she controlled the vines to make space for her and Tucker.  Bruce and Barbara couldn’t help mentally comparing the goth to Poison Ivy.  Tucker’s entire form was glowing with an overlay of something resembling an Egyptian pharaoh and in his hand was the Scarab Scepter.  If one looked out the front door they would see a very large Cujo guard the door while growling at a very terrified John Constantine.
“Release them, Vlad,” Danny said with a coldness that was unlike his normal affect.  Vlad did as instructed and as soon as they fell they were tied up by Sam’s vines.  Danny walked over to be directly transformed.  Barb couldn't’ look directly at him, Bruce having done several missions with JLD was used to it and couldn’t understand why Clark didn’t surrender as soon as Phantom transformed in front of him.
“Phantom, you killed our son, give him back!” Maddie screamed at the white-haired entity, only for Danny to laugh in her face.
“You Killed your son when the portal opened with me inside of it!” he screamed, the sonic force of which started to tear the building apart.
“Impossible!" Jack screamed.
“Well then call me Kim Possible, because anything is possible when you have two idiot negligent parents who put the on switch to the dimensional portal on the inside of it!” he screamed,  summoning a black hole that sucked the entire building up, not even leaving the ghost portal behind.  They were all left standing in the crater by the time the black hole was dismissed.
“You were going to study the ghost you captured?” He asked sharply to which they both nodded on instinct.
“Tear her apart molecule by molecule?” Again they nodded.
“You were going to tear apart my daughter, your granddaughter molecule by molecule!” He stepped back and pointed at them, “Let's see how you like being torn apart slowly molecule by molecule,  Hestia!” He declared as both scientists closed their eyes preparing for the worst.
“They aren't worth it my King, trust me.” Bruce and the others saw a very short young Greek ghost girl with pale skin, black hair, and blue eyes in a white soft cloth dress with blue accents.
Danny looked at her searching her eyes, knowing the crown of fire never takes physical form except for extremely important events that could effect the whole of the infinite realms,  despite his rage he took her advice.  He looked at Tucker,
“Use the Scarab Scepter and wipe their memories down to their 3rd birthdays,” Danny said as Tucker nodded somberly and the deed was done.  Danny looked at Bruce,
“I hope that the offer for a place to stay is still good.” Bruce nodded as Danny looked around and counted the people one by one.
“You think you got room for six people and a ghost dog?”
“Daniel, you don’t need to include me in this number!” Vlad corrected.
“Shut up and listen to your father” Danny grinned.
“I have my own mansion!” Vlad protested.
“Be a good boy and listen to your father.” Sam chided,
“Yeah, Vladdie!” Tucker said as Bruce watched the ongoing scene, his heart lighter now that everything seemed to be working itself out.
“As long as you promise to not adopt me I think I can find the room.” At Bruce's response, Barb broke out into a loud laughter that Jazz admittedly found rather melodious.  The laughter proved contagious until Danielle started to stir.  Danny immediately went to her and picked her up into a gentle hug wrapping his ghostly tail protectively around them,
“Daddy, what happened?” She said in a groggy voice.
Thanks for reading Also here is a Text to speech with some OST  it starts when Jack and Maddie enter with Danielle in tow.

Tumblr media
It's been a couple days since I told Taehyung and I'm surprised I haven't heard any rumors. Jimin must not have said anything yet, which makes the hollow pit in my stomach worse. I've been avoiding him, which is hard considering he's in half my classes. I'm going to have to find another way to get close to jungkook because I can not spend another embarrassing moment around jimin. The next time I see jimin we are in the lunch hall. Tae and I head to our table passing by jimin, jungkook and all their friends.
"He's staring at you." I glance in Jimin's, direction we make eye contact and I see him try to get up before jungkook pulls him back down. He gives him a pointed look before shaking his head whispering in his ear. Jimins eyes widen before they get into what looks like an argument. Soon their whole table goes silent and they all turn to look at us. Taehyung looks up from his pizza and freezes.
"Why are they all staring at us?"
"I don't know do you think he told them?"
Taehyung shakes his head. "No Jimins not that kind of guy."
"You know nothing about him!"
"But everyone says he's nice!"
We hear a throat clearing and both go silent after realizing we were yelling. Smiling we slowly turn our heads to see jimin and his whole table staring at us.
"Do you think they heard us?" I ask through clenched teeth.
"I think it would be impossible for them not to hear us. We are literally three feet from them." Taehyung nods his head at Jimins table smiling.

We quickly gather our things and run out of the lunch hall leaving jimin and his table behind. When we exit the hall I glance back at Jimins table to see them all staring at him with questioning eyes.
Pulling out my phone I check the time. I have an hour before my next class and I'm exhausted. The hollow pit in my stomach has not alleviated and I think about skipping just so I can avoid looking at jimin again.
"I'm gonna go home and take a nap."
"What about your next class?"
"I might skip. I've got a headache and I just need some time to myself." He carefully looks over me and I can see his face soften. Taehyung and I have lived together since the start of our freshman year so he knows my anxiety indicators better than anyone. He nods his head and wraps his arms around my shoulders pulling me into his chest. Kissing the top of my head he murmurs, "this isn't like high-school alright. Rumors like this don't have any traction here."
Nodding my head I pull away thanking him before making my way back to our shared apartment. Taehyung's sentence pushing me back into a headspace I have not been in years. Thoughts of high school flood my mind and a take a deep breath trying to relax as I make my way through the lobby and into the elevator. Unlocking the door I hurriedly step inside, heaving a great breath I make my way to the kitchen. Pulling out my blender I grab some yeast and bread flour. Might as well take out my anxiety on some pastry dough, mixing the ingredients together I slowly start to drown out the rest of the world.
Two hours later I'm so consumed with kneading the pastry dough that I almost miss the kick at the door. I look at the door as if I have X-ray vision and could possibly see who is behind it. Slowly I walk to the door whipping my flour dusted hands on a washcloth. I look at myself in the mirror by the entry way. It was useless to clean my hands because I am covered in flower, I swipe my hands over my cheeks trying to remove the white powder before brushing my hair behind my ears.
Opening the door my eyes widen and I take a step back debating on slamming the door in his face. Jimin puts his hands up and as if anticipating my thoughts he says, "please don't close the door. I just want to talk."
I squint my eyes at him debating but the decision is made for me when Taehyungs dog comes running up to the door to sniff him out, forcing me to open the door wider. Slowly jimin takes in the dog at my feet and the state of my clothes.
"Uh oh, he said it was bad if you were baking." Jimins eyebrows pinch in what could be concern before asking if he can come in.
"What?"
"Taehyung." He answers.
"Can you knead some dough while you talk?" You raise your eyebrow at him.
"Um sure" he shrugs and you notice the backpack hanging from his shoulders he must have come strait from school.
"Then come on in." Stepping aside I hold the door open for him. letting him pass he takes his shoes off and carefully arranges them next to mine.
"You can set your bag by the couch." Walking past him into the kitchen you point to the couch before pulling out a sauce pan to make the filling for the tarts. Jimin follows behind me, going to the sink he washes his hands before silently starting to knead the dough. We both work in silence for a few minutes before jimin clears his throat.
"Taehyung told me about the pregnancy test."
I stop stirring the filing as I turn to him waiting for him to explain. "After lunch he caught up to me and explained how the test wasn't yours. I just want you to know I never would have sad anything. It was none of my business anyway."
Jimin works as he talks and I watch as the muscles in his arms work to knead the dough. He's strong and I only just realized how toned his body is dancing definitely keeps him in shape.
"Thank you."  Jimin stops kneading to look at me I slowly turn back to my filling so I don't have to look at him as I say. "Most people would not be so kind."
Jimin smiles slightly tilting his head, "I mean your an adult dose it really matter if you buy a pregnancy test on not?" I tense and I have to remind myself that jimin has no idea of my past, of who I was before I came to University. Laughing I shrug my shoulders trying to play it off.
"I guess not." We both get back to work finishing our tasks in relative silence. I watch as jimin expertly starts to roll out the dough, slicing it into thin squares to prepare for the filling. Soon we are popping the pastry squares in the oven and we both head to living room to wait while they bake.
Settling into place I tuck my feet under me, turning to face jimin I put my arm across the back of the couch, "Where did you learn to bake?"
Jimin smiles slightly, leaning into the couch, "my mother owns a bakery I've grown up helping her in the kitchen with all kinds of recipe's. What about you?"
Glancing down at my hands I bite my lip in thought wondering how much I should tell him." I didn't get out of the house much my junior year of high school and I needed something to occupy my time. My mother had just bought a huge bag of bread flour for this one recipe that she never even used and I decided to try it out. Helped me get my mind off things, still does."  Not wanting to delve further into the story I quickly change the subject. Soon we are talking about all kinds of things, both of us swapping story's of when we were young and jimin talks a lot about his mothers bakery promising to bring you something back the next time he visits. The conversation switches to school and we talk about all the classes we hate, I mention calculus and he again suggests to tutor me. I accept his offer and soon enough I am sending him away with a Tupperware full of  pastry squares.
He holds up the cheap Tupperware, "I promise to wash this and return it to you tomorrow."
"Don't worry about it." Waving I lean against the door jam, "see you tomorrow!"
Walking backwards he smiles before turning around and heading to the elevator he sees Taehyung on his way in and nods his hello as he walks out Taehyung waits for the elevator doors to close before he's grabbing my arm pulling me inside and insisting I tell him everything.
~
AN: again this has not been edited I'm kind of just getting everything out and then I will edit later cause I know if I don't post now I'm gonna hate it and never post lmao. If anyone is reading this story I hope you enjoy and have a good day, afternoon or night!

Savior Complex
I will ride the Phoebe x din train until I die on it.
Din x f!reader
angst, fluff, confessions, anxious Din <3
Tumblr media
Savior Complex
Emotional affair
Overly sincere
Smoking in the car, windows up
Crocodile tears, run the tap 'til it's clear
Bruises littered my tired body as I slunk into the crest.
He trailed behind me, heart and hurt hidden behind armor.
My own name rang in my ears in the sound of his modulated voice.
He had always been so quick to protect me, quite literally throwing himself in front of danger if he had to.
It was sincere, honest, and brave.
Those adjectives couldn’t exactly describe his emotional output though.
He touched me like he cared and somehow made his gloved hands feel gentle as they healed the wounds that found their way to all parts of my body.
He grazed his thumb against my bruises, and lingered on them a little too long, staring.
Though, he’s never been as gentle with his words.
Drift off on the floor
I drag you to the shore
Sweating through the sheets
You're gonna drown in your sleep for sure
The endless nights of screams that came from his sleeping body found me most times sitting on a crate outside of his door, whispering to him that it was ‘okay’ until he had been lulled back to a restless sleep.
I never dared break the barrier between myself and his door... and he never asked me to.
A few times I found him in the pilots seat, crouched and asleep.
I always but a blanket over him... but he never mentioned it.
Wake up and start a big fire
In our one room apartment
But I'm too tired
To have a pissing contest
One time he snapped at me and it felt like something broke inside me. Any part of my child self that was left in me began bursting into tears at feeling chastised.
He yelled because I had misplaced an old blaster of his.
I felt the strain building over weeks, but it hurt none the less.
“Okay” was all I said back to him before moving to leave.
He stopped me. Apologized. But it felt cold.
All the bad dreams that you hide
Show me yours, I'll show you mine
I could’ve been vulnerable with him.
I haven’t even been able to scream out in my own nightmares because every night I was outside of his door, like a child.
Call me when you land
I'll drive around again
One hand on the wheel, one in your mouth
Turn me on and turn me down
Even though it hurt to be around him and I couldn’t read the signs anymore... I stayed.
Everyday we were together the tension grew. I couldn’t tell if it was contempt or sexual.
He was impossible.
One moment he would be holding the small of my back as we walked side by side, but the next he’d be ignoring any attempt I made at conversation.
////////////////////
Baby, you're a vampire
You want blood and I promised
I knew how much I was screwing over what I wanted.
I knew she wanted me to speak; to say anything back to her.
I couldn’t.
Sometimes id fake a scream just to feel her near to me. To hear her voice.
I knew it was selfish... but she was the only thing that made me feel safe enough to sleep anyways.
So, I tried showing her how much I cared, how much I wanted her , through my actions,
I guess we aren’t very good at picking up each others cues.
It felt like being drained anytime I even attempted to make conversation with her.
I was used to being willfully alone, or feared, or just simply left to be by myself.
I didn’t want to be alone anymore. Not with her around.
Words failed me unlike anything ever had.
But I’d give her the world and murder anyone who even looked at her the wrong way.
I'm a bad liar
With a savior complex
It was hard to control myself around her, with my hands and actions at least.
It wasn’t even like I was holding back my words... they just never came. I just had the feeling to hold on to.
Anything I wanted to say to her felt tainted, dirty, and like it would land against her skin and bruise it.
All the skeletons you hide
Show me yours and I'll show you mine
I was sick of myself. Sick of everything. Sick of hunting. Sick of not being able to touch her.
I snapped at her over something stupid that I don’t even remember and the look on her face made me feel like I was crumbling from the inside.
She never left my side. I wish she was kind or maybe cruel enough to leave.
I didn’t actually want that, but pushing away from what I wanted helped me to not feel the pain that love or desire wrought.
I saw her leaning on the crest, waiting for me, with tears in her eyes.
She shot me a pained smile, ducked her head, and walked in once she saw me, knowing I was there now and it was time to go.
I’ll never understandd why she stayed with me... but I was grateful.
I called out her name and it seemed as though it hit her somewhere deep.
“Yes?” She replied as if I were a stranger
“I’m sorry I snapped at you-“
“It’s over, you apologized. Its okay now”
why was she always so kind to me?
“No... it’s not” I walked up to her, grabbing her small hands and held them to my armored chest, “the apology was half-assed and we both know it. I genuinely am sorry, cyar’ika, I never want to hurt you.”
She didn’t pull back her hands, and she just stared into the T shape of my visor.
“Thank you.” She said, but I could see in her eyes that she was hung up on the word I uttered in Mando’a,
“It means darling... sweetheart. Thats what you are to me and I’m sorry for not showing you that. I don’t know if I was scared... or, I guess I just couldn’t think of the words.”
My breath hitched in surprise as she wrapped her arms around me.
“It’s okay.” She said, arms never faltering in their embrace.
I wrapped my arms around her with a hand on caressing her head, leaning it further into me.
“You’ve said that every night... that it’s okay, from right outside my door.”
“I almost stopped, unsure if you even heard me or if it even did anything. You never brought it up.”
“I heard you, Cyar’ika. I always listened.”

how would you describe your political affiliation then? i don't want to be following any rightwing apologists
Uh, criticizing people falling for communism/"communism is great but it was just done bad way!" is being rightwing apologist? How so? I don't believe "communism done right" scenario is possible. I'm from Poland, I know our history. PRL is not just "cool vintage times and nostalgia". In 1944 red army was just peacefully waiting on the other side til Warsaw burns down and Germans kill remaining civillians and run away (instead of helping anyone as expected), then after entering new authorities started chasing and killing AK soldiers even up until fucking 60's and bothering their families, and up until the end "inconvenient people" were spied, hunted, tortured and executed, people murdered in the streets at protests. Censorship, no freedom of speech, curfew. People getting kicked out of the houses belonging to their family for years, because hey, its the state's property (and in result, hundreds of historical buildings went to waste and literally decayed through these decades, because communists had great ideas like dumping compost inside). Introducing martial law on a whim in 1981. I'm very sorry that i'm not sympathetic towards people who beat others to death and rip out someone's fingernails to make them talk.
"Equal share for everyone!" There was nothing in the shops at times, whoever was first was getting stuff, others weren't. People waited for stuff like flat apartment or a car forever sometimes, especially if they did something deemed wrong by the government. Ever heard of Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933? Great Chinese Famine in 1959-1961? Communism was so great, so great and equal that in fact millions of people died from hunger. The original concept had these grand aims and as a concept it might seem great, but it's always the outcome that matters. There's no equality, only government members and people on highest stands are living comfortably, and resorting to terrorizing others to get what they want - that's how it always ends. "There are people equal but some are more equal than the others". You'll never have leaders who will be wiling to live on the same level as common people and being "equal"to them, that's never their aim. Look at the world and its history and show me any country with this system that hasn't ended up like that. People can bitch about utopian socialism and how everything so far was just "done wrong way", but that's pointless. A fair system in which everybody's equal and safe is impossible. Humans are egoistical and powerhungry, and will put down others to elevate themselves if there;s a chance. Don't treat this as a defence of consumerism (incidentally, my previous sentence applies to it ideally as well) but wanting communism in 21st century and expecting it would be so great is wishful thinking.
I don't support any political party from my country (nor any other). They're all wasteless shit, nothing to choose there. I'm yet to see a side that proposes something that makes sense, and i don't believe there will be a time i'd get to. They're all politicians, and they're shady scum people by default, who have nothing in common with normal people. whoever believes they understand our problems or have any of our interests in mind is naive.
One more thing now that you're mentioning rightwing. Right is currently ruling party in my country (unfortunately). You might find interesting that our rightwing, similar to other parties, is full of ex communists who just rebranded for a new decade.

⇢ KUROO sighs for the umpteenth time of the day. he was so fucking exhausted and his body's about to give in to sleep any moment now. work has been beating his ass; there was this newbie who kept on messing up the documents needed by the board and for the whole day, he had to be the one to fix said issues. it's not like he wasn't paid enough for that; if anything, his paycheck was one of the most beautiful things he laid his eyes on— but god, even his body has its own limits and yet...
"ya.... yer not supposed to do this anymore. y-ya left me, remember?" you slurred, index finger pointing right at his chest as he circled his arms around your waist, huffing as you practically dropped all your weight on him. here he was, suddenly given the task of having to take you home after your supposed-to-be designated driver, miya fucking atsumu, also drank his brains out with you.
"be patient. still heartbroken because of you, y'know?" kenma softly tells him despite the tipsy feeling lurking in the back of his mind, shaking his head as he looked at you, whose system finally shut down and were now dozing off in the black haired man's arms.
"..... still?" he mumbles, looking down at your figure and he feels his heart contract with pain all over again.
"you can't expect her to be fine immediately, kuroo. it was your wedding day, supposed to be the greatest day of her life and yet it became the worst one... you left her at the altar alone."
he didn't reply anything— or rather, he was unable to. because what can he say to refute the truth? nothing. instead, he proceeded to his car with you still in his hold. he places you on the passenger seat, locking the seatbelts before jogging to the driver's side.
the car ride was calm as you slept soundly with your head occasionally hitting the window lightly as it swayed from side to side. he was sure as hell that if you were sober right now, you wouldn't even have the thought of seeing him cross your mind. he just knows for sure that you despise him with your whole being... at least, that's what he thought until...
"i'm sorry, tetsu. please come back," you whimper in your seat, voice quiet but he heard it nonetheless, "tell me what i did wrong so i can fix it."
the pitiful sounds and mumbles you made struck kuroo right in the heart and which makes him pull over an empty but safe road, just a block away from your (previously shared) apartment. looking over your form, he finds himself reaching out to touch your face, caressing your cheeks as drops of tears fell down slowly on them, "you didn't do anything wrong. you were fine. you were so perfect."
you squint your eyes at him, probably wondering if this was real or just a part of your drunken imagination. nonetheless, you hiccuped, "y-you... you left me and i... i still can't even bring myself to hate you... i just wanna ask you why? i just want to understand."
he thought he also knew the reason why but every single time he thinks about it, he's only led to one conclusion: because he was a coward. no way was this any of your fault— it's definitely not your fault that right at that moment, as he stared at the mirror, wearing the black suit you chose for him, the sudden fear of commitment loomed over him. it's not like it was your fault he suddenly got scared of losing you the way his parents lost each other. but now he thinks it's ironic, because he lost you anyway.
maybe... just maybe, if he had just met you where you stood at the altar, instead of leaving you alone in it, maybe he would've been happier. maybe his days would've started more with a smile from you as you helped him fix his necktie before going to work. maybe, the working hours he spends in the shitty corporate world would've been more worth it if it meant he can come home to you at the end of the day. maybe... maybe he wouldn't have to be stuck with this lump in his throat as he wonders what could've been happening if he just chose to show up and vowed his life to you.
but he didn't.
"i realized i wasn't just ready to tie my life with anyone yet. that's all there is to it, yn."
so with a heavy feeling stuck in his chest and a quiet promise to never see you again for the sake of not hurting you further, he starts the car's engine again, ignoring the words you replied but he was sure they will haunt him for a very long time... again.
i can wait for you no matter how long it takes, tetsu, you know that.
⇢ OIKAWA gives you what seems like a guilty smile as he stands in front of you, opening his arms and gesturing you to come closer. but the stoic expression on your face takes him back to the reality that the last thing you wanted to do today was to actually fetch him from the airport. it just so happens that his three best friends were caught up with work that they had no choice but to send you, the main ex-bestfriend slash ex-girlfriend, to him.
why did you agree when you practically loathe him with your whole being? well, it was probably because you weren't the devil who would reject your friends when they were literally on their knees as they begged you and for some reason, you thought he'll look pitiful going back to his home country after five years with no one to welcome him. yeah, that's it. it's not like you're still in love with him or anything.
"my car's just around the corner," you begrudgingly walk towards the car park with him quietly following. at the moment, he knew better than to get on your nerves or else there would be war. he hates that this happened to the both of you but he can't blame anyone else but himself. because who wouldn't hate their ex-boyfriend if they suddenly broke up with them over a phone call?
tension filled the car as you both sat beside each other. perhaps, this was what other people were talking about when they say that it's impossible for exes to be friends again, to not feel any awkwardness because you were sure as hell that the word "awkward" was an understatement of your situation right now. nevertheless, your eyes couldn't help but wander to his figure as he adjusted his body, opting for a more comfortable position in the passenger's seat.
he looked more youthful and you felt bittersweet— proud that his whole aura screams of "success" which meant that gone were the days where he longed to get that winter cup trophy, nor the times when he overworked himself and put a strain on his knee which led to countless arguments with you. if anything, he looked happier and it sucks because you're not even close to feeling that way... not without him.
"i heard you've finally gotten yourself your own condominium? that's great, yn!" he exclaimed as soon as you began driving to your destination, a hope lit within him that maybe you might just respond to him. just one smile, that's all i need, he thinks.
but you remain focused on your driving, choosing to reply with a single nod and a soft "yeah..."
disappointment fills his heart as he faces the truth that your relationship has really been ruined, along with your friendship. all because he was foolish to think that he couldn't handle the physical distance between you two. realization dawns upon him that he just made that same distance worse as you pull your heart further away from him.
"... i actually bought it for the two of us, you know?" he whips his head to your direction in surprise, heart clenching as he watch you let out a sad chuckle, "i just... i thought it would be nice if we had a place to permanently stay at and for you to have a home to go to when you're at japan. but yeah... i guess things doesn't go our way sometimes, does it?"
"i'm sor—"
"it's okay. i'm fine now," you quickly reply, shaking your head but keeping your eyes on the road. he tries to ignore the tears that start to form in them because he has no right to stop them, knowing full well that he was the one who caused them in the first place.
as if on cue, you halt your vehicle in front of a familiar apartment and much to your dismay, you find yourself looking back in the past when you used to live in that same place, making wonderful memories with the chocolate haired lad with you. you clear your throat to stop the sob that desperately attempts to escape your throat, "uhm... we're here."
"oh, yeah. we're here," he numbly states, already missing you despite the mere inches of space separating the two of you. you just felt so far away and he hates it. but this was the path he chose so he gets out of your car along with his things, turning to you once more, "uhh... thanks for the ride, yn. i know you probably hate me but yeah... it's very nice of you to put that past us and i guess i just want to say sorry for hurting you... i just..."
"i don't hate you, tooru," you softly tell him, "i just don't want anything to do with you anymore. to see you this happy, without me, is like a slap in the face because i'm not. it still hurts and i'm not fine. i just hope this will be the last time we'll see each other. be safe on your trip back to argentina. welcome home."
and with that, you start the car's engine again, no longer having the energy nor the strength to hear his reply. but he wishes you did because as he watches your car drive further away from him, he can't help but wish that he can take back time so that you don't have to go to that condominium and instead, go inside the home you once shared with him.
but i'm not happy, yn. because how could i call this place my home when you're not here with me?
at that moment, unbeknownst to the two hearts that long for each other break at the same time, you finally let out the tears and cries that you've been keeping since you saw him, knowing that no matter how much you try, you'll never be as happy as you were with him— simply because he left you with a hole in your heart that no one else can fill.

So I’m obsessed with the idea of cow shigaraki don’t ask me why lmaoo anyways shigaraki was always an asshole to everyone ( everyone tries to take him seriously but his cute little ears makes it hard) shigaraki hasn’t gotten out of his room for days and everyone kind of got worried but forced the reader to check it since shigaraki was a littel bit decent to them ( everyone knows shigaraki has a crush on the reader but of course the reader is lowkey dumb to notice) to there surprise the reader finds shigaraki humping his pillow while sniffing the readers sweater or panties that he “ borrowed” and moaning readers name, it turns out our little cow shiggy here has his heat not to mention little drops of milk are coming out of his pink nipples, shigaraki notices the reader and just starts crying and whining and begging the reader ti help him out because he’s in so much pain and can’t get off ( the reader does have a heart and helps him out but it’s not gonna be that easy since the reader does want to tease him a bit but soon gives him what he wants) a fluff ending because why not
This lives rent free honestly loll anyways add any kinks u want sweetheart

I know what everyone is thinking, and I pinky promise that Shigaraki does not moo in this, so don't worry. I did read a fic like this and everyone turned it into like a “cursed fanfic” because the mooing weirded them out, but the only thing that really bothered me is that it was non-con (non-consensual [rape]). I will never ever ever EVER EVER EVER write non-con. Never.
Ok, I am on a fucking roll with the mommy kink, so here we go 😌
Anon your ideas make me write for literal hours cause I get so excited and I write for “20 minutes” that turns into four hours that turns into getting half of your requests done in less than a week. If anyone reading this can draw, I demand art of cow Shigaraki. This reminds me of Shigamothie (my guilty pleasure)
However, the way he looks in my head isn't drawn out, and um, I can’t draw 😃

“Y/n, it's been days. Go check on him, ” Dabi said.
“Why don't you go do it?” you asked.
“Because he’ll fucking dust me, ” he responded.
“And? He would dust me too, ” you said.
“Y/n, first of all, that's impossible because of your quirk, ” Dabi said, “and second, everyone knows Shiggy has a crush on you. Well, everyone but you,”
“He does not, ” you scoffed.
“I'll bet everyone dinner for the next three nights that he does. But you have to go up there and ask him, ” Spinner said.
“Fuck, ” you muttered, “fine! Fine, I'll go, ”
You trudged up the stairs, sighing when you got to his room.
You knocked but there was no response.
“Risking my job so those assholes can eat, ” you muttered.
To your dismay the door was unlocked and you walked in.
“Hey, this is a dumb question, but-” you cut off, “Shigaraki are-are you ok?”
He was curled up on the bed in fetal position, naked with a pillow between his legs, humping it desperately. He didn't seem to notice you yet.
‘Is that my sweater?’ you thought.
You put a hand oh his shoulder, “Shigaraki? Are you ok?” you asked again.
He shook his head, moaning, “need you y/n, ” he gasped, “need you, please. It hurts. It hurts so bad please y/n, ”
You bit your lip, scratching behind his ears as he moaned desperately.
“I can't. I-I can't get myself off, ” he sobbed, “it doesn't w-work. I need you y/n I need to be inside of you I-”
He let out a strangled yelp as white liquid shot out of both his cock and his erect pink nipples. You knew he had cow ears and a tail, but you never thought he’d actually make milk. You knelt by the bed and sucked experimentally, enjoying the taste of his warm milk.
“Mmm, ” you hummed, drinking more.
“Y-y/n don't. It feels too good when you do that I can't-” he cried, spilling another load onto the poor pillow.
You giggled, “i didn't know you went into heat. It's kinda cute, ” you said, brushing sweaty matted hair out of his face.
He hid his face in your sweater again, just for you to pull him to face you once more.
“Mommy, ” he whispered, “I need you. Please, mommy, ”
You kissed his forehead, “mommy, huh? Y’know you're really not that scary, Shiggy. The ears and tail don't help either, ”
He whined, blushing, “please mommy?”
He looked up at you with puppy dog eyes that you couldn't resist.
You sighed, “fine. But only if you answer my question, ”
He nodded, “anything, mommy. I’ll do anything, ”
You took a deep breath before asking, “do you have a crush on me? ”
“Wh-what? ” he stuttered before blowing another load with a groan.
“I asked you if you have a crush on me,” you repeated.
He couldn't hide it from you. He couldn't even hide it from himself.
“Yes, ” he groaned, “yes, I have a fucking crush on you. Please fuck me y/n, ”
“Say please again, baby. I love it when you beg,” you said, kissing him.
He froze as you pressed your lips to his. Shigaraki looked up at you with wide eyes. That was his first kiss, and he got to share it with you.
“Please, ” he whispered, “please fuck me y/n, ”
You ran your hand up and down the back of his thigh, stopping to squeeze his butt gently. You took his nipple in your mouth again, drinking more of his milk before kissing him again. This time he returned your affection. You took away the pillow, and he started whining, practically crying at the lack of stimulation. He was already a mess. There was really no need for teasing, but you couldn't help yourself. You tapped the tip of his cock with your pointer finger, watching as he moaned and tried to buck into it.
“So sensitive, ” you said, pulling your hand away, “I think we’re gonna have some fun Shiggy, ”
He nodded, “mommy, please, please touch me, ”
You couldn't deny him any longer. He was practically crying. He’d been so touch-starved for years it wasn't just about how badly he needed to cum it was about how badly he needed not only to be touched but to touch someone else. He hadn't given or received a hug since he was a kid, and even now, he couldn't if he wanted to. Until you joined.
Your first quirk was impressive, but the fact that you had a secondary quirk to cancel out his had to be fate. He decided that very day that you were his soulmate. You were the one he could do all that cheesy romance stuff he’d seen during movie nights when it was Toga’s turn. You were his from the moment he saw you.
“I’ll touch you baby boy, don't worry, ” you said, taking off your shirt.
He stared at your chest as you unclipped your bra. He reached for your boob, seemingly to play with it in his hands but instead pulled you towards his mouth. He sucked harshly, groping your other tit. You groaned as he pinched and twisted your left nipple and sucked on your right one. You weren't even on the bed yet, still knelt beside it. You pushed him away and climbed on top of him, laying him flat on his back.
“You're so rough with mommy, sweetie. You have absolutely no power in this position, no matter how much you'd like to deny it. Now I wonder, ” you said, reaching between his legs, “does this little cow moo?”
You jerked his cock harshly, causing Shigaraki to let out a loud moan.
You whispered in his ear, “It looks like the answer is yes, ”
You kissed his cute little ear, still getting him off with your hands. He came again, painting your hand with cum, but he still wasn't satisfied. You took his nipple in your mouth once again, sucking warm milk from him. He was shuddering and thrashing around on the bed once again, falling apart from the lack of stimulation to his dick.
“Mommy, need inside. Please mommy please, ” he begged.
“Be patient, Shigaraki, ” you said, caressing his cheek, “I'm taking you every way I know how, ”
You crawled down the bed, letting your left hand trail down his body, pinching and twisting his nipple again. You smeared the milk that oozed out over it. When you finally settled between his legs, you took your time admiring and practically worshipping his thighs. You kneaded the flesh in your hands, kissing, licking, and biting them, thrilled you were finally able to get your hands on them. You’d always had a thing for his thighs, not sure why.
When you finally started moving upwards he begged you shamelessly.
“Please put your mouth on my cock, mommy, ” he whined, “please, I'll be good. I’ll be a good boy for you mommy, ”
You bit and kissed his inner thighs more, traveling as high as you could while still ignoring his oozing cock. You had to dig your nails into his thighs to keep Shigaraki from closing them. You finally brushed your lips against his balls, and Shigaraki almost came right then and there. You licked long stripes up his dick, pausing to let your tongue tickle the head. He was holding back now, trying to last so he could feel your mouth for just a little longer. You sucked on the head of his cock, impressed by his willpower and even more excited to break him down.
You took him into your mouth and hollowed your cheek, not caring about the tears streaming down your face or how you gagged whenever you moved your mouth. He pulled you up until your breathing steadied.
“Dont hurt yourself, mommy, ” he said.
He pet your hair as you were still only halfway down his cock. He was so sweet to you, such a good boy. You rolled his balls in one hand, wrapping the other around what he wouldn't allow your mouth to cover, and sucked harshly on what you could. He was starting to break down, finally letting go in your mouth. He came with another strangled cry. If you were honest, his cum tasted awful thanks to his poor diet, but luckily, you knew exactly how to get rid of the taste.
“As much as I love milking your cock, baby, I think there's something else that needs milking too, ” you said.
You brought your head to his chest once again gulping down milk.
You pulled away “you need to est better sweetie. I’ll cook for you from now on, ”
He looked like he was about to object, so you captured his lips in a sweet kiss, letting him know how happy you were that he was here with you and how excited you were to take care of him. You had used your mouth and hands which only left one option, your cunt. Or so he thought.
“Kneel for me by the end of the bed, Shigaraki, ” you said.
He did as he was told, “you can call me Tomura, ” he said.
“Such a pretty name, ” you praised, “now put your cock between my thighs,”
You had lifted your legs as best you could, counting on him to support you the rest of the way.
“What?” he asked, confused.
“I want you to fuck my thighs, ” you explained, “and if you try to slip inside of me, I'm not fucking you properly until tomorrow and you can suffer for the rest of today, ”
He frowned. That was no fair, but he wasn't going to disobey you. He had promised to be a good boy. So he took off your pants and lined himself up with your thighs, moaning as he slid in between them.
“ go ahead, baby boy, make yourself feel good, Tomura” you said.
He nodded, beginning to thrust into your thighs. He had your legs draped over his shoulders and was dangerously close to your aching cunt. He was whimpering the entire time, desperate to finish so he could get inside of you. Feel how warm and wet you were. Letting you squeeze him and milk his cock, how he’d play with your tits as you moaned beneath him. That's all it took for the head of his dick to peek out from between your thighs and paint you with his cum.
“Baby, you did such a good job for mommy, ” you praised him, “fuck me, Tomura, you deserve it, ”
He reached into the drawer of his nightstand, but you stopped him.
“I'm on the pill. You don't need a condom, ” you said.
He shook his head and rifled through the drawer before pulling out a cock ring, sliding it on.
“Wanna make mommy feel good too, ” he said, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck, “wanna last so mommy can cum with me, ”
You squeezed him tight, kissing the top of his head.
“You're so sweet, baby, ” you said.
He pulled down your panties, lining himself up, and hovering over you.
“Tell me if it hurts, ” he said.
You nodded, and he pushed in slowly, stretching you, but you didn't want him to stop. Once he was entirely inside you, he stopped. He tried to commit the feeling of you to memory. He began thrusting slowly, focusing all his energy on making you feel good. He reached down to rub your clit, causing you to moan out his name. He tried every angle to try and find the spot you liked. When your back arched and you moaned out, ‘right, there baby,’ he knew he’d found his mark. He kept thrusting, speeding up, watching you come undone. You grabbed his hair, arched your back into his chest, and didn't try to hide your desperate moans.
“Tomura, I'm close, ” you said, pressing his forehead to yours.
He nodded and kept going, whining and whimpering. You groaned, starting to reach your limit. You started grinding against him, chasing your high desperately. You came with a high-pitched whine, juices coating his cock.
“That's it, mommy, please cum on my cock. I love making you feel good, mommy I-, ” he was cut off by his orgasm, crying out to you.
He collapsed on top of you, cum oozing out of your hole.
“Will you go out on a date with me?” he whispered.
You laughed, “yes, of course I'll go out on a date with you, Tomura”
“Thank you, mommy, ” he whispered.
The door swung open.
“Y/n are you dead or-, ” Dabi grinned, “we’re eating good tonight, guys!” he called downstairs, closing the door as everyone cheered.
“Spinner made me go ask if you had a crush on me. I said no, but then he offered to get us all dinner for three nights, ” you explained, “plus you actually liked me back, which in my opinion is much better than anything he could have offered, ”
He chuckled, “I'll have to thank him. You're not getting out of this bed until dinner y/n, hope you know that, ”

Four weeks later, the receptionist of your apartment complex hands you over a cardboard box with the hoodie Jungkook and you had talked about that day on the Han River. Jungkook kept pestering you to please please please send him your address for confidential purposes, which you knew had to do with his determination to literally provide anything that catches your eye right away. You assumed it was a sensitive topic for the boy whether people had purposefully taken advantage of his money before, so you didn’t dare to say anything when the man asked you for your size literally two hours after he dropped you off, scared to either reject his solidare intentions or piss him off for bringing unwanted memories back. In  your defense, your personality type keeps oscillating between INFP and INFJ so it’s only natural that you take extra care to make sure those around you have as much peace of mind as possible in your presence.
As pretty and comfortable the piece of soft clothing is, an important factor is missing, something that you can’t recreate buying two of the same size and color, and that is Jungkook's escence and how good it looks on him in comparison to anyone else in the world. Meaning, you didn’t like it as much as you thought initially would. And it absolutely did not have to do with the fact that your short stature made you look like a toddler who stole their dad’s jacket.
Still, in order to show Jungkook how much you appreciate his gift, you bring it to work the next day, and the rest of the days after that, with the excuse that with winter rolling around you needed something to keep you warm in the office. Jungkook doesn’t miss the opportunity to confirm your assumptions regarding your appearance whenever he barges into your office randomly throughout the week, arguing that ”you look so adorable” and doesn’t stop for two weeks more, until he gets used to seeing you wearing something you shared with him. Which doesn’t help ease your growing romantic feelings for him whatsoever.
Because yeah, you liked Jeon Jungkook, just like every human being with eyes and sexual desires, except, you didn’t just like him in a superficial way, and that’s where the problem with him resides. Though you are sure everyone has fallen in love with the endearing boy at some point - especially the excluded and invalidated women of society - you can’t help but place some blame on you for allowing yourself to be swooned so goddamn easily. Your mom had said to you at some point to be wary of the way some men would talk to you when you grew up, their intention usually being getting inside your pants, which has happened to you more times than you'd like to admit. And with the argument that she knew you better than anyone, she claimed you would comply right the second someone talked sweet to you; you despised the fact that was the case with Jungkook (and Jungkook only), although he had never shown any sexual innuendos. What your feelings could do to your relationship with Jungkook and your rather chill lifestyle scared you to death, shiver me timbers and all that shit, having romantic feelings for someone else is embarrassing, especially when your chance with them has been scratched out the second you laid eyes on them.
Jungkook sits on your couch, legs spread on your thighs as you two pretend to watch some series on netflix. “I don’t buy for a second the act you’re putting on right now.” he speaks randomly after staring at your deep-in-thought state for a few minutes and laughs when you snap at him for not letting you overthink in peace. “What’s going on?”
Truth is, you don’t fucking know. A few hours before he arrived at your place (you had to pick him up at the dorm and sneak the both of you through the subterranean parking lot, because god forbid someone saw Jungkook arriving at some chick’s dorm on a saturday afternoon) you swore you would be able to conceal whatever emotional turmoil you had going inside of you without compromising your regular behaviour around the man, but when push comes to shove, it’s impossible to keep yourself from wondering how far you could go before that special someone found out what was going on inside of your head.
Jungkook’s phone rings in his pocket with some annoying tone he had downloaded illegally from youtube the same day the company had handed over the device as a gift for him (you still were a little bitter over how they neglected the rest of the staff but you also knew it was kind of impossible for the human kind to just gift a-thousand-dollar-phones to almost five hundred people out of solidarity). “Hyung?” he picks up, still wary of your unusual behaviour, concerned eyes looking at you. “No, uh- i’m with Yugyeom right now.” and your heart shatters into a million pieces.
You have been suspecting for a while that Jungkook is being hesitant to introduce you to his social circle. Although, you’ve tried your best not to take it personal, it is getting harder to resist the urge to ask him what the fuck is up with that. The fact that Jungkook had to lie about the person he was hanging out with broke your ego; he could’ve just said he was with a friend, right? You suddenly feel like you’re fifteen again, when the guy you liked would love you in the dark but pretend he didn’t know you in the light.
Holding your tears back, you gently push him off and make your way towards the bathroom in the most nonchalant way you could. This is your fault for falling for the nice popular guy in the first place, you remind the reflection staring back at you. Still, as bad as it hurt, there was no way you were going to cry over a stupid boy, let alone when he was literally sat on the next room. He can go fuck himself if he thinks he can just toss this behind as if nothing ever happened.
You text Chaeryeong instead.
“chaery bom bom: i swear to god i gonna throw hands the next time i see the bitch.
chaery bom bom: like who the hell does he think he is? fucking squidward looking asshole.
chaery bom bom: he ain’t even that cute bub, you’ll get over him. i know jinyoung wouldn’t treat you like this”
You sigh. Chaeryeong has been enamored with the idea of you and his former company colleague from GOT7 since the day she met the guy (which was somewhere around ten years ago), and although he was all that, you didn’t like his quiet and cold aura, it intimidated the fuck out of you (Jungkook was the entire opposite of that).
You spray on some perfume just to have an excuse as to why you randomly ran to the bathroom when Jungkook’s inquiring eyes stare as you sit back on the couch, which is exactly what he does. “You done with your call?” you ask, bitter.
Jungkook frowns, a bit taken aback by the sudden question but still unaware of the way his words had made you feel, not even sensing the hostile change in your mood. “Yes, it was one of our managers. He was wondering if I could come back to reshoot some...-thing.”
Okay, now you kind of understand as to why he lied in the first place and to say you feel guilty is an understatement. “I supposed he backed down once you mentioned you were hanging out with Yugyeom.” playfulness makes its appearance on your tone and Jungkook rolls his eyes at you, tongue poking on the inside of his slightly red cheeks.
“Sorry for that” he moves closer and cuddles your arm, like a sad guilty puppy. “It’s just- I don’t want them asking questions''.
You understand. He is a very reserved and private person after all. It took you a bit to crack him open yourself. Plus, you kind of share that trait with him, you’d hate it too if people were constantly on your nerves for the people you decide to hang out with.
And that’s all it takes to forgive him. Not very cash money of you.
“You better not pull that shit again, though” you shift in his hold and he looks up at you. One look into your eyes and he knows what you mean. “I’ll kick you out.”
After nodding, Jungkook resumes his concentration on the series you picked out for him. Due to your short attention span, you are very picky about what you invest your time in, especifically with audiovisual pieces of media, so Jungkook trusts you whenever you recommend something on very rare occasions. As a matter of fact, Jungkook was busy attacking your kitchen counters for snacks (which you didn’t have) when you mentioned Money Heist. “Munch on some grapes instead” you suggested to soothe his disappointment.
You can’t help but feel a little sad when Jungkook doesn’t refrain from cuddling your arm after pleading to forgive him. You wish you could cuddle him instead, that he would lay his head on your chest as you play with his soft hair, but you recognize there are some things you just can’t have.

a helping hand [henry cavill] - part 2
Tumblr media
A/n: I’m sorry it took me so long. I don’t like how this part turned out, at all, but I rewrote it 3 times and I can’t even think about these scenes anymore without getting annoyed. I’m just happy it’s finished and that I can start working on part 3 (that is, if you like this one enough to want to keep reading lol)
Summary: After you post on onlyfans a video starring another man, Henry decides to take matters into his own hands. (cameo: Steve Rogers) KINKY 4k
Warnings: spanking, daddy kink, dirty talk, mentions of smut and masturbation (male), humiliation/degradation kink, groping, mentions of porn and filming pornographic material, stalker-ish/obsessed Henry. (also tumblr crashed when I first tried to upload this so maybe that a sign this sucks)
You can read part 1 here!
-
The sight brought down a storm upon Henry's mind. He stood there, mouth agape, watching the screen, unable to believe his eyes. It was one thing to post videos of yourself on the Internet, but to have someone else take part in them was too much. At least for Henry. Still smart and composed, he realised there wasn't anything he could do about it, but nevertheless, he was determined to not let this shit slide for much longer.
As much as he wanted to hunt down that man who dared put his hands on you, Henry gathered himself, took a deep breath and closed the onlyfans page. He was perfectly aware that just the right amount of you could get him to lose his sense of control and do things he'd later regret. Still, in desperate need to see you, he grabbed his phone, eyes scheming over your socials, only to see that the last time you had been active was 7 minutes ago. So, without much consideration, he started typing.
"You up?"
"Yep. Finishing up an essay. Coffee in 30??"
Oh, and how deeply that hurt him. "Of course" he sent you, and then checked again the post you made at 3am. '...I'll go to sleep right now, edit it for you when I wake up...'
You were lying? Why were you lying to him? It drove him insane. Henry felt like he couldn't sit down anymore, like he had no chance to catch his breath. He couldn't think straight, so he wasn't really to blame for what he did next.
Henry's fingers flew over the keyboard, accessing Facebook and logging into your account, desperate to see whether he could find out who the man in your video was. And it was as easy as it could've been, considering your last 5 conversations were with the girl friends he already knew about. But somewhere among them, he spotted an unfamiliar name - Steve R., and instantly clicked and opened the conversation. His blood started to boil when the multitude of emojis you sent reached his eyes, but he scrolled up, until he found the beginning of yesterday's conversation.
It was started by you, and with a request. You were blunt and went straight for it, asking him with just one message to be in the video with you. There was no trace of your relationship with him on the Internet, so Henry had no idea regarding the nature of yours and Steve's connection. Judging by the way you addressed him, he could easily assume the man was nothing more than a fuck buddy. Even though it angered him, Henry kept his calm and decided to go about this with care. It would only be a matter of time until he removed Steve from your life. But for now, he just had to keep digging for information.
Steve R.: "Exactly what do you need me to do, baby? Spank you? In front of the camera? Are you serious?"
"Yes, Steve. Come on!! I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but still... 😇 when it comes to these things, you know me better than anyone"
Henry scoffed. Who the fuck was this guy?
Steve R.: "I know, baby"
Steve R.: "What's in it for me?"
Smoke came out of Henry's ears, and the fact that you acted so sweet and innocent made him want to smash his keyboard.
"Whatever you want! Just do this for me!!! Please!!!! 🥺😊😋"
Steve R.: "Ofc I'll do it, sweetheart. I got you"
"Thank you thank you thank you 😘"
Steve R.: "I should be the one to thank you"
Steve R.: "Send me the location and I'll be over there asap"
After that, your address followed and then that was it. Determined to dig deeper, Henry started to scroll up again, wanting to find out as much as he could about this mysterious man. He didn't get a chance to lurk too much before this computer alerted him of a notification, the onlyfans tab glowing orange. His attention was instantly won, smiling devilishly as he checked the content.
Posted 30 seconds ago, was the new video. Ready to kick back and enjoy, Henry pressed the play button, ready to go at it with an open mind.
He reluctantly accepted the fact that there was another man in it with you, but he decided to enjoy it nevertheless. The video started, displaying Steve seated on the couch, thighs suggestively parted. He had a pair of black dress pants on, dangerously stretched over his massive thighs. A white, elegant shirt hugged his visibly sculpted torso, the top two buttons undone to show just a hint of chest hair. Quite a sight, but all Henry saw was trash. With his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a silver watch on his wrist and a pinky ring on, Steve patted his thigh, cueing your entrance.
When Henry saw you, he felt his breath reach a new, sudden level of difficulty. With the shortest of skirts barely managing to cover your ass and a mostly see-through shirt on your top half, you made your way to him in such an angelic way that Henry couldn't believe his eyes.
You looked like happiness personified, and it came in such a painful contraction to what you were about to do, that it twisted Henry's mind in such a perverse way, his cock nearly twitched just by seeing you.
When you were about to bend over Steve's thigh, he grabbed your chin and stopped you mid action, his lips slamming against your as his free hand lewdly caressed your ass. He flung the skirt over your hips, your flimsy underwear on full display.
Attentive to the events unfolding on the screen, Henry found his cock, teasingly rubbing it over the material of his pajama pants. His mouth watered when he felt the sensibility in his tip, actually believing this would be easier than he initially anticipated.
"Are you going to be Daddy's good little girl, or do I have to make this fucking hurt?" Steve asked and Henry almost threw up.
"Yes, Daddy. I'll be good" you mewled, wiggling your feet.
"Let's see" the man menacingly chuckled, releasing a sharp slap against your ass that made you yelp out in pain.
At this point, about 30 seconds in that was, Henry was already losing his mind. It was as if you took a trip inside his dreams and decided to play out his fantasies. The only problem was that you did it with another man. It was next to impossible for him to keep this going.
"Can you count?" Steve taunted, his hand traveling all over the back of your thighs, your exposed ass and between your legs.
"Yes, Daddy" you eagerly nodded and Henry almost threw up.
"I wouldn't be surprised if a dumb slut like you didn't know how to" Steve chuckled, "But it's ok, that's how we like our girls. Dumb and pretty"
"Thank you, Daddy"
Henry couldn't believe his eyes. He refused to accept the fact that a random man got to play with your innocence like that. You were his sweet little girl. And if until now he pushed through heroically, when literal yelps of pain started erupting from your lips as the blonde man slapped your ass hard enough to rock your whole frame, Henry's blood ran cold.
But no matter how hard the jealousy had hit him, the video was still pushing his limits of self control. It was still what he always wanted to see. When he reached inside his pants and grabbed his cock, a low grunt of early satisfaction left his lips. He once again found himself picturing you, willing to please him, but this time, he didn't get to go too far. The buzzing sound of his doorbell rang through his apartment, and he never stood up faster.
Cock still hard and completely visible through his pants, Henry slapped the pause button and minimized the browser, before springing to his feet and rushing to the door.
"Henry!" you exclaimed as soon as he came into view. He looked somehow tired, but it was easy to tell there was something else bothering him. "You didn't answer your phone" you pouted.
"Yeah, sorry" he shook his head, a few sweaty curls falling against his forehead. "I was busy with something. What's up?"
You raised your eyebrows and pointed to the door of your apartment, "You said you'd come over? Coffee? Remember?"
"Oh, shit, yeah" Henry cringed, rubbing his forehead. "I'll be over in 10 minutes, that ok?"
"Sure" you beamed, completely oblivious to the way he just tried to get rid of you. With utter nonchalance, you pushed your way past him and strolled into the kitchen.
"You wanna wait here?" he muttered.
"Yeah... Is that a problem? I can leave..."
"No, no" Henry eventually sighed and rushed over to you. He cupped your cheeks and kissed your forehead. "Wait here, I'll be right back"
And that was what you did. You silently sat down, grabbing a bag of chips you found laying around, and settled to wait. And maybe, a few seconds passed where nothing devious came to mind, but as time ticket itself away, boredom got to you. First you stood up, and padded to the hallway, looking around. There was almost nothing new over there, but it still felt so homey you absolutely loved to inspect every detail. The TV in the living room was turned off, a couple of pizza boxes on the floor and his DVD cases laying around - absolutely nothing interesting.
You sighed and plopped down on his couch, folding your legs under your body, ready to flip through the channels on TV until he'd decide to join you. Nothing seemed of interest, being bombarded with news and fishing programs. "Old man" you thought to yourself, before opening up the menu in search for something less depressing. A wave of nostalgia hit you when you came across a Spiderman marathon, and you were done for. Maybe one full episode passed until Henry walked out of the bathroom, but you were nowhere near ready to leave.
"Look what's playing!" you beamed, pointing to the screen. Henry raised his eyebrows in amusement, his shoulders shaking as he softly laughed at your unusual choice of entertainment.
"Are you serious? Cartoons?"
"Yes!" you scoffed, extending your arms and gesturing for him to join you. Although reluctant at first, Henry agreed to sit and watch the show with you, but not before brewing some coffee first.
When he returned from the kitchen, two steaming mugs in tow, you shuffled to the side and welcomed him on the couch. He brought you close against him, draping his arm around your body. With your head resting on his shoulder, you sipped your coffee, eyes glued to the TV. "You seriously never watched these as teen? You were 11 when it came out."
"I did" Henry laughed, rubbing his hand up and down your side, "I was in love with Felicia Hardy"
"MJ was so much better!" you shook your head disappointed, "You have no taste"
"No need for that" Henry threatened, his fingers exploring their way down your body. The way he trailed his hand across your hips and thighs made you squirm, smiling to yourself as you shuffled closer to him.
Henry was more than happy to reciprocate, kissing your forehead and squeezing you tighter.
And just like that, you didn't care about Spiderman anymore. You flung your leg over Henry's lap, all but crawling on top of him. The episode was still playing in the background, but none of you was paying attention anymore. Henry wrapped his muscular arms around your frame, eliciting a soft moan from your lips as you pushed your hips down against his thigh. His hands traveled lower, exploring your body with delicate but greedy strokes.
As you let yourself get carried away with absolutely no worry in mind, Henry knew exactly what he was doing. And considering how easily you let your guard down, he had you right where he wanted.
When you hid your face in the crook of his neck, your nose rubbing across the slope of his collarbone, Henry's right hand found your ass. You froze for a second, but his gentle caress helped you relax again in an instant. With his lips against the top of your head, he allowed his fingers to sink into your flesh. Your whole frame stiffened as you gathered a handful of his hoodie into your fist.
"What's wrong?" Henry cooed, grabbing your chin, "You ok?"
"Yep" you whimpered, and then winced again as he squeezed your ass once more. "I'm good-" you lied, cupping the side of his neck into your palm as you crawled higher up his body, your lips right against his ear.
As weak as he was for you, Henry stood his ground. If you wanted to play this game, he'd do it, but he wouldn't let you win.
"Does this hurt?" he asked, roughly groping your ass.
Jumping slightly from the pain, you still managed to shake your head, blurting out another lie. "... no"
"What about this?" Henry teased, grinning widely as he shoved his hands inside your leggings, under your panties.
The urgency of his touch made your eyes open wide, your back arching as you tried to push yourself off of him.
"Does it hurt, darling?" he continued, keeping you in place with ease.
Defeated, you sighed and lowered your gaze, "A bit" you mumbled.
"Just a bit?"
"Henry-"
"Did he fuck you good?"
Your mouth fell open. "What- no, I didn't- we didn't do anything-"
"Didn’t do anything?" Henry grinned, his perfect teeth showing as he proudly pried information out of you.
"I just... fuck-"
Seeing no way out of this one, and eager to stop hiding, you pushed yourself back. Henry's hands left your body as you sat beside him, and he watched you curiously, patiently waiting for you to word your thoughts. "I just filmed a video for my page, that's all" you bowed your head.
"What kind of video?" Henry questioned.
His demeanour was so relaxed, he was right in his element, unlike you, who were riled up to the extreme. "A spanking video-" you cleared, awkwardly fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.
"Did he spank you good?"
His hand found your hips again, and you leaned into his touch, nodding your head yes as you were too embarrassed to actually word your answer.
"Then show me"
He was dominant and stern, and even if you wanted to, you felt like saying no wasn't an option. Henry didn't wait for your permission as he grabbed your waist and pulled you up to your knees, chuckling softly to himself when he saw you shyly smile down at him.
His fingers curled around the waistband of your leggings, forcefully pulling them down your thighs. "Come on" he urged you, softly guiding you to lay down across his lap, your ass barely covered by the pinkish and slightly unflattering underwear you had chosen for the day.
Henry's breathing picked up at the sight, and so did yours. You watched him over your shoulder, his fingers tracing over the bruises Steve left on your bum the night before.
"Henry-?" you whimpered, the anticipation building up in the pit of your stomach becoming too much to bear.
"Yes, darling?" he cooed, leaning down to the side to kiss your cheek. His stumble tickled your skin and you whimpered when his hand made its way between your legs.
You felt his fingers against your opening and involuntarily clenched your thighs around him, hiding your face in the cushions of below your head.
"Tell me" Henry pushed, teasing your folds and clit over your underwear.
"Nothing, I-" you cried, making him chuckle.
He loved giving you a taste of your own medicine. He straightened himself up and grabbed your ass into his hands, squeezing until you yelped out in pain. A soft laughter of approval escaped his throat as he bent down and pressed his lips to one of your cheeks, applying lingering kisses over each and every single bruise.
The way he took control of the situation and handled your body, turned you on to no end. For whatever reason, being exposed like that for him, waiting for any kind of judgement to leave his lips, you were getting more and more riled up by the second. You were done for. You did your best not to moan with need, but little did you know that was exactly what kept you from being thrown onto the floor and fucked into oblivion. Just one single sign was all you needed in order to break his self control, but you didn’t have it in you to do it.
But he didn’t say anything, instead just keeping you on your toes as he had his way. You were dripping through your underwear, and judging by the bulge in his pants that pushed up against your belly, you knew he was on the same page as you. But again, he didn’t allow things to go further. Everything about this moment pointed in the right direction - the teasing, the touching, you were all but whimpering in his lap, but he cut the moment short with a sharp slap against your ass before he helped you up. Henry acted as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened as he pulled your leggings back up, but this glare became colder when he found your eyes.
He bent down and spoke into your ear, "He could've done a better job"
Completely under his spell, you bit your lip and furrowed your eyebrows. "I don't think I would have been able to take any more"
"That's not what I said" Henry shook his head.
"Look at you being an expert" you teased, relishing in the fact that he seemed eager to keep things going.
"All I'm saying is that if you had asked someone else-" Henry laughed, stroking your cheek, "Things would have turned out much more different"
"Oh" you pouted, ready to tease him further. "Who should I have asked-"
Just when you started getting comfortable and confident enough to push things further, Henry's phone rang. "I don't have to take that" he shook his head when he heard you stopped talking.
"Just see who it is" you giggled, slapping his shoulder.
Before doing so, Henry grabbed your chin and kissed your forehead, his touch drawing you in like a magnet as you leaned into him when he pulled away. With a sigh, you eventually crawled off his lap and then your face fell with disappointment when Henry showed you the screen of his phone.
"Yeah?" he huffed after picking up, his boss being the last person he wished to talk to right now.
You watched him closely as he listened to whatever the man was saying, and almost whined out loud when Henry frowned annoyed.
"I'll call you back in 5, ok?" he asked and after a couple of seconds hung up.
"I'm so sorry-" Henry sighed, turning to you, "I gotta go take this, there's a problem with one of the radars, I need to go see if I can fix it remotely"
"Sure thing" you shook your head. "But please tell me you don't have plans tonight"
"I don't" Henry leaned towards you and again, kissed your forehead. As much as you loved the sweet gesture, it was now more than ever that you craved something else entirely.
"And please don't forget about me again" you giggled, grabbing his biceps and stopping him from leaving without a promise.
"I won't" he sighed, "I'm really sorry about that. I'll make it up to you"
"However I want?" you beamed and licked your lips.
"Absolutely" Henry smiled, sweetly embracing you before walking you to the door.
You had his word now, and you were planning on making it count. There was no way either you or Henry would act as if nothing had happened, and you couldn't wait.
Once alone and seated at his desk, Henry opened up the text editor associated with the code he wrote months ago. When his screen was flooded with errors and his chat popped up with three different messages asking for help from his colleagues, Henry all but yelled out loud in frustration. Not only did he wish to be with you, it was also Sunday, one of his days off. But he couldn't just text the pilot of the plane whose radar went berserk and tell him to wait. So he got to work, determined to get this done as soon as possible.
But unfortunately, that 'as soon as possible' turned into 3 hours of continuous work. He didn't even stand up to go to the bathroom until he made sure everything was on point. It was about 4pm when the program started running smoothly again, and seeing how he had a few more hours to waste until he had to see you, Henry decided to make the best of them, by getting a head start on his tasks for the following day.
Productivity flowed through his fingertips as he solved the first issue he had been assigned for the day to come, getting ready to start working on the second one when a call caught his attention. He didn't recognize the ring tone, and it only dawned on him that he was still logged into your facebook account a couple of seconds after it stopped ringing.
Still curious, Henry switched the tabs on his computer, noticing that the chat with Steve, which he left open hours ago, showed that there was an ongoing video call. His jaw fell. Henry tightened his hands into fists, fuming with anger. First as you for doing this, and then at himself for allowing you to believe this was an ok thing to do. He knew there was no way to eavesdrop on your conversation even if he had the password, but that didn't mean his curiosity died down. No, it only grew stronger.
He felt lost for a minute, but then he thought of something. On his dresser, right next to his winter gloves and under his favorite jogging hat, laid an extra set of keys. Henry remembered the day you gave them to him, saying something along the lines of 'I feel much safer knowing that if something were to happen, you could always get to me, Henry.' and then remembered how you stuffed them in his pocket, and kissed his chest before stepping back. Such different times.
There was no trace of hesitation inside his mind as he grabbed the keys and made his way out of his home. He passed the hallway in less than a second and pressed his ear to the door. It was perfectly quiet, and through the peephole, he couldn't see any light. You weren't in the kitchen or living room, so he felt confident enough. After putting his phone on vibrate, Henry ever so gently pushed the key inside, turning it inside the lock with the most meticulous movement his wrist could muster. The sound of the door knob being turned was so faint he barely even heard it, but his pulse skyrocketed when he heard the click that signaled the door was finally open.
With small, careful steps, he made his way inside. The entire apartment was dark and quiet as he made his way in, stopping just outside your bedroom as the relaxed, deep voice of a stranger became audible through the wall. “Trust me, sweetheart. Just relax, I got you. You’re all tense, I can see it from here. You know I have more experience with this than you do, just do as I say”
With one hand on the doorknob of your bedroom, Henry was ready to put an end to this whole charade. He knew he might regret it later, but he didn't care. The image of a so called friend, pushing you to do anything that you seemed to have clearly stated your discomfort about, flipped a switch inside his brain. There was no stopping him because no one, no one got to push you around like that. Not while he could do anything about it.

When Y/N arrived at the master bedroom, she was surprised to find the door slightly ajar. She knocked always and found Bruce turning to face her, shirtless and only in his boxer briefs.
Bruce seemed subtly surprised to find Y/N standing in his doorway and not Alfred. But he didn’t seem to be embarrassed by the state Y/N found him in.
Along with the first aid kit, Y/N had grabbed two ice packs from the freezer.
“I’m fine,” Bruce told her before she could even offer to help him.
“You can either deal with me or you can deal with Alfred,” she threatened.
“Your choice,” she added when she saw how serious he took her warning.
Bruce’s heavy sigh was the only answer she’d get.
“Come on,” Y/N nudged her head toward his en-suite bathroom that was probably twice the size of most people’s studio apartments.
She pointed to one of the steps that led up to the giant bathtub, silently instructing him to sit.
“Put these on your ribs,” Y/N instructed as she handed him the ice packs.
To her surprise, Bruce did as she asked.
“I don’t need stitches,” he mumbled as he watched her open the first aid kit.
“I know,” she answered. “Which is lucky for you, because I have no idea how to stitch people up.”
She dabbed some cotton in hydrogen peroxide. “But…you still need to clean those cuts or they’ll take longer to heal and probably scar.”
Once again, Y/N was surprised to see that Bruce did as she said. He didn’t complain or refuse her assistance – just sat there silently. The man didn’t even flinch and Y/N knew she was causing his injuries to sting.
“What happened tonight that has you so upset?” Y/N finally asked after silently caring for him for a few minutes.
“What makes you think I’m upset?”
She sighed softly. “I’ll be the first to admit that you’re nearly impossible to read. But clearly something happened that caused you to storm out of the cave like you did.”
Bruce didn’t respond.
“Was it them?” Y/N asked carefully. “The Court?"
For a moment, she thought he’d ignore that question too.
“They know I’m protecting you. Well…they know that Batman is protecting you.”
Y/N shrugged. “We knew they were gonna figure it out eventually.”
Bruce remained silent.
“Did they send the Talons after you?”
From his expression, Y/N knew she was right.
The Talons were a group of lethal assassins that did all of the dirty work for The Court of Owls. They were highly trained, almost entirely undetectable, and a force to be reckoned with. Probably only second to the League of Assassins when it came to deadliness.
“That’s why Jason was with you,” Y/N pointed out. “You needed backup.”
“We had it under control,” was all Bruce said.
“I know you were already going after The Court,” Y/N told him gently. “And you need my help.” She hesitated and took in a shaky breath, “But thank you for looking out for me.”
“What was your plan?” Bruce asked.
“What do you mean?”
“When I came to you and told you that you’d been made, you said that you knew. What was your plan?”
“Run. And keep running. You and I both know I’m hopeless when it comes to an actual fight.” She shrugged. “My plan was to keep working on exposing them and stay alive long enough to see it through.”
Y/N waited for some sort of lecture, for Bruce to tell her that it was a stupid plan and she had been sloppy. She waited to feel patronized and belittled.
But Bruce just stared at her.
“What?” She challenged.
“I wish you would prioritize your life a bit more.”
She moved back a little from cleaning his cuts and snorted. “What? Like you?”
Then she shook her head and went back to cleaning his cuts. “You’re so not the person to be lecturing about self-preservation, Bruce.”
Then Bruce surprised them both.
He grabbed Y/N by the back of her neck and brought her down to him before his lips collided with hers.
She dropped all the medical supplies in her hand from the shock of it all. But then she was cupping his face and kissing him back.
Next thing she knew, Bruce had steered her body so she was straddling his lap.
It had been so long since that night that Y/N had almost forgotten what his lips felt like. Or how his hands touched her so tenderly, but his intent was always clear and effortlessly confident.
But then Y/N’s leg accidentally collided with one of Bruce’s bruised ribs.
It didn’t deter him. He had every intention of ignoring it.
But Y/N felt his body tense in pain and she swore she felt the vibrations of the quietest pained moan from him.
She could’ve imagined it, but she wasn’t going to continue knowing that she had the ability to accidentally hurt him.
But it was also her saving grace. Because Y/N shouldn’t be doing this.
Y/N reluctantly pulled away from the kiss. Bruce allowed the movement, but his grip on her waist and neck didn’t ease in the slightest.
“You should rest,” she whispered to him.
Then she shoved herself away from him and awkwardly stepped backwards as if she was desperately trying to put space between them.
“Umm…make sure you keep that ice on your ribs,” she told him awkwardly, half turned away from him.
Bruce opened his mouth to stop her, but no words came out.
The next second, she bolted out of the bathroom and then his master suite.
Her mind was racing with so many thoughts that Y/N didn’t notice Dick catching her race into her own bedroom.
Dick looked between Y/N’s closed door and the direction of Bruce’s room, putting it all together.
—————
After the close call with the Talons, Bruce had all hands on deck. Even Jason – who usually did his own thing and had separated himself from family matters – had been brought into the fold. Which meant he was spending way more time around the manor.
Y/N knew things were getting serious.
Bruce wasn’t exactly keeping her in the dark. But he also wasn’t being forthcoming with information.
Y/N didn’t know if he was trying to shield her in some way…or if he was just doing business as usual and taking control, not allowing anyone in until he thought it was absolutely necessary.
Either way, through the chaos of it all, Y/N realized Dick hadn’t acted as her shadow in almost a week.
It wasn’t until Jason decided to bother Y/N that she realized what had changed.
Jason leaned backwards against the console Y/N was working on so she was forced to face him. He crossed his arms with a smirk and looked down at her.
“So, you and B, huh?”
“Get off my equipment,” she warned him darkly without even glancing at him.
But inside, she was internally freaking out.
Y/N made a point to keep as many facts about her life a secret. And her sex life? That was top priority when it came to her privacy. This was worst case scenario.
But also, how the hell did he figure that out?
Jason shrugged, but did as she asked and took a step away from the console. “He didn’t say anything, if that’s what you’re thinking.”
Y/N finally looked up him. “Please tell me what I have to do to get you to leave me the fuck alone.”
Jason smiled and whistled. “I think I like you.”
“The feeling’s not mutual,” she mumbled as she began typing again.
“Jason, leave her alone.”
Y/N turned to see Dick walking into the cave.
Jason held up his hands in surrender and gave his brother an innocent face. “I was just trying to be polite to our guest, Richard.”
“I’m sure you were,” Dick side eyed him.
Jason then turned to Y/N and put on his Red Hood helmet. “I look forward to having more of these titillating conversations, Y/N.” Then he turned to Dick. “I’m heading out on patrol.”
He mounted his motorcycle and raced out of the cave, leaving Dick and Y/N alone for the first time in awhile.
“No patrol for you tonight?” Y/N asked him slowly.
“They’ve got it covered.”
She just nodded and didn’t ask any further questions.
All at once, they were submerged into strange silence. The air was racing with thoughts, yet the tension seemed to simultaneously make it thick, as well.
Y/N sighed. She might as well get this over with.
“I know you want to ask, so just ask,” Y/N mumbled as her fingers raced across the keyboard and her eyes never left the screens.
“Doesn’t the whole…” Dick really didn’t know how to put it delicately.
Y/N sighed, clearly annoyed with his fumbling. She turned around in her chair to face him. “Does his age bother me? Is that what you’re struggling to ask?”
Dick shifted his weight awkwardly, “I guess so. Yeah.”
She raised her brow. “Haven’t you dated a literal alien before?”
“That’s not the same thing,” he defended with a glare.
“Oh, so as long as the alien is the same age as you, it’s fine?”
Dick really didn’t have an answer for that.
“It’s just that…aren’t you a little young for him?” Somehow he managed to leave out the rudeness in the question. That must be the Wayne charm.
“Isn’t 9 a little young to put on a costume and fight crime?”
Dick sighed, “Touché.”
“I am one of the most successful hackers in the world. He’s a vigilante who dresses up as a bat. What about us screams normal and conventional to you, Dick?”
He knew she had a point.
“Plus, we aren’t in a relationship. It was a one-time thing. Nothing more. It happened a long time ago.”
However, she conveniently left out the heated kiss they shared last night.
“You sure about that?” Dick challenged.
Y/N just eyed him.
“Because the only women he’s had one-time things with are the one’s he’s used or paid to keep the image.” He took a step closer. “And they definitely didn’t know who he really was.”
Y/N tried not to let it show that his words caught her off guard.
This exactly what Y/N didn’t want.
She didn’t want anyone putting ideas in her head that she actually meant something to Bruce Wayne. Because she might make the mistake of believing it.
It happened once. They slept together once. One time.
Had there been a indescribable intensity between them since then? Yes. But Y/N didn’t like to acknowledge or think about that.
“Can we please stop talking about this?” She asked.
Dick blinked and shook his head. “Sorry,” he blurted out. “I didn’t mean to…make you uncomfortable.”
Y/N put her face in her hands and groaned.
Then she shot to her feet and faced Dick. If he wasn’t a vigilante who could break the average man in one swift move, he would be intimidated by the energy radiating off of her.
“Hmm…I wonder why this conversation could ever make me feel uncomfortable, Dick,” her sarcasm was almost too natural.
Then her face dropped.
 When her body language screamed that she was embarrassed, that’s when Dick felt like a piece of shit.
“Look, we’re not…” She didn’t even know how to explain this. “We’re nothing. OK?”
Dick nodded slowly, “OK.”
And he believed her. Because she believed it. Whether that was the truth though, that was an entirely different story.
“We met years ago because I threatened to expose his identity to the world.”
Dick blinked. “I’m sorry, what?”
Y/N at least had the shame to look guilty about it.
“You threatened him? You threatened Bruce Wayne? The man who dresses up as a bat and scares the shit out of the criminals of Gotham?”
“I didn’t plan on actually doing it!” Y/N tried to defend. “I needed to get his attention. And guess what, it worked.”
She pinched the bridge of her nose as she thought back in time. “I discovered a sex trafficking ring. I had all the information, everything to take it down. I just needed a little…muscle.”
“And you thought Batman could be that muscle,” Dick finished for her.
She nodded.
Then Dick looked at the all the equipment. Her story reminded him what she was fully capable of and why she was here in the first place. “How did you learn to do all of this?”
It was obvious that he was trying to change the subject and give her an out. But she let him still.
Y/N shrugged.
“Is this the part where you tell me about all your degrees from various Ivy League universities?” Dick teased.
“I didn’t go to college,” she told him evenly.
“You di–How is that even possible?”
“I don’t agree with institutionalized higher education.”
Dick rolled his eyes.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me,” she warned him. “You didn’t go to college either.”
Dick scoffed and crossed his arms. “Of course that’s old information to you. Is there anything that you don’t know about me?”
She smirked at his obvious frustration. “I don’t know your favorite color.”
Though she had been teasing him before, her confession was genuine. And her soft tone didn’t go amiss with Dick.
For a moment, Y/N didn’t think he was going to tell her.
“It’s red,” he told her softly.
“Hmm,” she was surprised. “I always assumed it was blue…because of the uniform and all.”
“Red was always the color of my family’s costumes.” He knew the answer was rather vague.
Y/N’s face turned sympathetic, “The Flying Graysons?”
Dick nodded.
Maybe it wasn’t so bad that she seemed to know everything about him.
“Red’s a good choice,” Y/N added with a sad smile.
But he realized what she was actually saying was her condolences. Somehow it was better than the forced and awkward “I’m so sorry” he constantly got.
Dick grabbed a chair and sat down to face her with such purpose.
“What else do you want to know?”
Y/N allowed herself to smile at the question.
“Everything.”
—————
Y/N got addicted to Dick’s openness.
Once Dick Grayson decided to trust someone…he really trusted them.
He didn’t hide himself from Y/N.
Unlike Bruce, Dick was easy to read. But Y/N knew that wasn’t the case for everyone. She saw the way Dick communicated with old team members or even on comms with his brothers.
But for Y/N, if she asked him something, Dick gave her the answer.
It was as simple as that.
There were no games, no hiding, nor withholding, not manipulation, no fear.
There was just Dick Grayson.
But Y/N also new he was capable of all of those things still. She’d seen him twist conversations and put the focus on the other person. He doesn’t seem to have any issue with blatantly lying. That’s when Y/N saw Bruce.
So why was she different?
————
“I can’t stay another second in this fucking house,” Y/N snapped one day.
They had just eaten dinner and were now sitting in one of the dens.
Dick laughed at her. “It’s not exactly a prison, Y/N. You’re in a mansion with everything you could ever need – and more.”
But this was the most time Y/N had spent in one place. She was always moving, always on the run. Yeah, she stayed in Gotham for the most part, but she missed the dangerous streets of the city.
“I’m not taking you out,” Dick gave her a warning look as he pointed at her.
“OK. First off, Bruce said nothing about me not being able to leave.”
Dick gave her a look that said, ‘How dumb do you think I am?’
“And if you were with me, then it’s fine. Right?”
“Y/N,” Dick groaned.
“And finally, I can do what I want,” Y/N added with a serious look.
“Sure you can,” he smirked.
But Y/N was being serious and she stood up. “I’m not his prisoner.”
Then she was headed toward the garage.
“No one said you were,” Dick called out after her.
He jumped in front of her, blocking her path.
“Y/N, you know more than anyone that The Court has eyes everywhere. Your face shows up on one street camera for a second and you’ll be tagged. They’ll follow you back here and then nowhere will be safe.”
“I know,” she answered as if it were obvious. “But we’re just going for a drive. Half of Bruce’s cars have tinted windows. And we’re going to take the backroads on the fringe. No street cameras. I doubt we’ll even see another car.”
Dick was adding up the risks in his head, calculating every possible outcome.
“Is Nightwing scared of what Batman will think?” Y/N teased.
Dick raised his eyebrow in amusement and crossed his arms. “Whatever game you’re trying to play…we both know I can play it better.”
She gave him the most innocent face.
Dick sighed. Was he really about to do this?
“Come on,” he told her.
“Really?” Y/N was shocked she got him to concede.
“But I’m driving. And we’re taking the bike,” he called over his shoulder as he turned on the lights of the garage.
‘Garage’ was an understatement. It looked more like a fancy warehouse that housed at least 20 cars and a dozen motorcycles.
“The bike?” Y/N questioned.
Dick chuckled. “What? You scared of riding motorcycles?”
Before she had the chance to answer, he pushed a helmet into her chest. It would fully cover her face and had a tinted visor shield on it.
“Need I remind you that this was your idea?”
Y/N glared at him and put on the helmet.
She watched a safe distance away as Dick started his motorcycle and revved he engine.
Even though she was wearing a helmet, he could still tell she was apprehensive.
“Come on,” he encouraged her gently before putting on his own helmet.
Slowly, she approached the motorcycle.
“Just swing your leg over – there you go,” he instructed.
Then he put on his helmet and Y/N realized there were comms linked between the two helmets so they could hear each other easily.
“Uhh…where do I–how do I hold on?” Her question stumbled out.
To her surprise, he didn’t verbally answer. Instead, Dick just reached behind him for her hands and placed them under his leather jacket and around his waist.
The contact felt strangely intimate. And Y/N hated that it made her heart race a bit faster. She hoped he couldn’t feel it as her chest bumped against his back. Hopefully he would just think it was her adrenaline and fear from the bike.
“Good?” He asked as he revved the engine again.
“I think so?”
Suddenly they shot out of the garage and raced down the long drive that led to the gate.
Y/N didn’t think Dick was going unusually fast, by any means. But the motorcycle made everything feel more extreme. She slowly started to put together why people liked riding them so much. It was a rush.
Dick did as he suggested and took backroads, avoiding any main streets or heavy-traffic areas. Which meant a lot of twists and turns.
But Y/N was surprised when he started to slow down and pulled onto a street that was just surrounded by forests. The sun had just set and the sky was colored pink and purple.
Dick turned off the bike when they reached a clearing. It was a meadow, with tall grass that moved like the ocean from the night breeze.
Y/N took off her helmet and grinned at the sight.
She turned to Dick, “Didn’t expect a city boy like you to know places like this…”
“City boy?” Dick looked insulted. “I was a traveling circus kid before Bruce took me in.” He looked out at the land, “This was one of our stops. We set up right over there,” he pointed to an open field where the ground was even and the grass was short.
Y/N’s face changed when she realized Dick had a connection to this place. It wasn’t just a stop off the highway. It meant something to him.
“Thank you,” she mumbled. It was hard to meet his gaze.
“For what?”
“Taking me here. For taking me anywhere, really.”
“Despite how enormous the manor is, it’s suffocating sometimes,” Dick tried to reason with her. “Has it really been so bad, being stuck with us?”
“No,” she quickly answered and took a step toward him. “How much time have you spent working with a team?”
Dick thought about it. “I mean, after leaving Bruce, I just went from one team to another. Even when I think I’m working alone, my family is always around the corner.”
Y/N gave him a sad smile, already knowing that would be his answer. “I never had that. It’s always just been…me.”
“Why?” Dick questioned.
He knew better than anyone that heroes found other heroes, whether they wanted to or not. And he knew from experience that a team had a stronger chance of changing the world for the better. Even Bruce gave up on being a lone warrior – despite him trying to believe he still is one.
“I don’t go after criminals that wear face paint and shoot guns, Dick. I go after the people that terrify others into silence and submission. I go after the people that most don’t even know we should be going after.” She shook her head. “It’s dangerous in a different way. And I never wanted to risk anyone else’s life but my own.”
“But when things go south, who’s got your back?” Dick challenged.
Y/N thought about it a moment and just shrugged.
Dick’s eyes saddened. “It doesn’t have to be that way, Y/N.”
She didn’t acknowledge his statement.
When there was a large gust of wind, Y/N closed her eyes as if it would help her body absorb the nature around them.
Dick allowed himself to take her in while her eyes were closed – all of her.
He still didn’t know so much about her past – what she’s seen, what she’s been through. But he felt like he understood her as a person. He saw how intelligent she was, how she explained things to Tim without sounding condescending or embarrassing him for not knowing. Or how patient she was with Damian when he was his bratty self, and she clearly saw his behavior for what it was: a child who didn’t know how to converse with normal people. And when Jason was a sarcastic smartass, Y/N gave it right back to him. Dick also didn’t miss how Y/N offered to help Alfred cook and clean up as if it wasn’t his job.
The moment Dick was having as he looked at Y/N was interrupted by his phone.
“100 bucks that it’s Bruce,” Y/N griped.
And when Dick pulled it out from his pocket, lo and behold, Bruce’s name was lit on the screen.
“Hello. Yeah, she’s with me. We just went for a drive. We’re heading back now.”
As soon as he hung up, Y/N asked, “Was he pissed?”
“He was extremely calm, which is probably not a good sign.”
But Dick didn’t seem too concerned with Bruce’s wrath. He’d grown out of that long ago.
“Come on,” he nodded to his parked motorcycle.
Y/N slid on the bike behind him with much more confidence and finesse this time. And there was no hesitation as she wrapped her hands around around Dick’s waist. He swore her grip was tighter too.
“Ready?” Dick still asked her.
But then his hand seemed to have a mind of his and slid over the grip she had on his waist, brushing across one of her hands almost…affectionately.
He didn’t even realize he did it until a few seconds afterward.
“Mhmm,” Y/N hummed.
The ride back was less peaceful. The sun had gone down and if they weren’t in view of Gotham’s city lights, they couldn’t see their surroundings. It also didn’t help that they knew they were returning to the manor to face Bruce.
When they parked inside the garage and turned off the engine, they both heard Bruce call Dick’s name from inside.
Y/N winced, but quickly recovered.
She squeezed Dick’s upper-arm. “Don’t worry. This is on me.”
Before Dick couldn’t argue and say he wasn’t scared of Bruce, Y/N was walking back into the manor.
“Need I remind you that you’re number one on The Court of Owls’ hit list?” Bruce told Y/N darkly.
He was wearing a black turtleneck and slacks. It was an off-duty look for him, but he still looked like he was in some sort of uniform.
“Dick had nothing to do with it,” Y/N defended calmly. “I threatened to photoshop nudes of him and sell them to TMZ and the Daily Mail.”
Bruce shared a look with Dick over Y/N’s shoulder, proving that he already knew Y/N had made no such threat.
“I’ll be in my lab,” Y/N announced, deciding to end the conversation before it could turn into a lecture or argument.
When she passed Bruce, Y/N turned around and gave Dick a grateful smile before mouthing, ‘Thank you’ to him.
Now it was just Bruce and Dick.
“If you want to lecture me, just get it over with,” Dick sighed.
“You know better,” Bruce answered.
“She was going to leave whether I went with her or not. I thought it was best to keep an eye on her. I wasn’t stupid about it, Bruce.”
“Don’t let it happen again.”
Dick glared at him. “We can’t keep her locked up here forever.”
“She’ll stay until we take down The Court. Until then, she’s at risk.”
Dick quirked an eyebrow. “Careful, Bruce. It’s starting to sound like you’re making this personal.”
But they both knew there was another meaning behind his words. Dick saw Bruce put together what he was really trying to say. ‘I know you two have a history. I know what happened between you.’
But Dick didn’t know what was happening now.
Bruce just glared at him and said, “I could say the same to you.”
Then he turned and left.

Better Man.
              ~~~~We might still be in love, if you were a better man. ~~~~
Taehyung x OC
Rating 18 +
Angst.
Implied Infidelity in the past.
Chapter 1 ~ Walk out the first time.
"Are you okay?" My mother's soft voice came from behind me and i panicked, hurriedly swiping at the tears that were streaking down my face. Heart pounding, I grabbed a bunch of tissues from the dresser, patting my face down hurriedly , making sure to keep my back to her.
"I'm fine, Mom." I said , voice surprisingly steady as I turned around to smile weakly at her. She stood near the doorway, a petite woman of fifty with greying hair and too many wrinkles.
I thought she looked older than she was and i knew I had a part to play in that. Sighing, I tried not to cry more, moving to gently take my son out of her arms.
He was four years old, fast asleep and smiling sweetly in his slumber. He had downy black hair, feather soft and warm brown eyes. He looked incredibly like his father, the resemblance stunning even though he was so young. I stared at him some more, laying him down on the bed and brushing the hair off his face.
"Are you sure there is no mistake? Taehyung ssi wouldn't hurt us like this..." My mother said, sounding broken and I felt a pang of sympathy. But also annoyance.
Us.
Us....like she had an equal share in the hurt I was feeling.
 I was the one getting a  divorce but my mother made it sound like it was personal to her as well. Like somehow, the fact that she now had to meet her friends and tell them that her daughter was divorced could compare to the pain I was feeling. To the sheer anguish that was filling me.
To be fair though, my mother had loved Taehyung very much. Her favorite son-in-law . My sister's husband had been a mean drunkard who had brought a lot of misery to our family. Taehyung by contrast had been a loving, filial son in law. He had cared deeply for my parents, paid for my father's funeral ( even though the man itself was nothing more than a drunk , cheating fool who had abandoned us )  and he had been the most kind man .
I swallowed.
Maybe , you should have forgiven him. Maybe , you shouldn't have divorced him . So, he slept with another woman. Fine.  It was one night... just one night. you should have gotten over it! Was it worth it to spend all these countless nights alone? To break your mother's heart a thousand times over?
 The funny thing was, i had forgiven him. Maybe right after I had found out. He had stood there, looking shell-shocked and horrified and his eyes had begged me for forgiveness and my heart had cracked , the way it always did whenever I saw him in distress. And when he had looked me in the eye and said, "  I’m sorry,  Jang mi..." I had forgiven him right then and there.
 But it was the forgetting that was hard. The fear that it would happen again. The fear that somehow, I was the reason he strayed. And that kind of fear can be debilitating. For the first three weeks, I'd tried to pretend it hadn't happened. I had tried hard to see him the way I had always seen him but it had been impossible. everytime I saw him, my heart had broken anew. It had been hard but I had to accept that things would never be the same. That I would forever look at him and remember what he’d done. That I would forever wonder if he would do it again.
So we had done the wise thing.
At first a break.
 A few days apart to get our head on straight.  Then I’d found a job and I had to move closer to the office to make the commute easy. And then suddenly, I wasn’t seeing him even during the weekends , to spend time as family for our son’s sake. And just like that , a whole year had passed and we  were separated. Only meeting to hand Hoshi over to each other.
"I'm sorry mother." I said softly. I knew that she blamed me, a whole lot for the separation.
People with children  didn't leave each other over infidelity in my country. You hit your husband, denied him from your bed maybe but you didn't break up a family over one night of bad decisions. You just didn't .
But for me, it was beyond the act. It was the broken trust, the shock of knowing that some other woman had given him something I couldn't, the fact that he had even wanted it from another woman had been enough for me to crumble on the inside.
But, none of it mattered now.
He wanted a divorce. Officially. Wanted to end it for real.
It was jarring, how badly it shook me. I felt unaccountably lost and confused and disoriented. I couldn't imagine not being Taehyung’s wife , i realized with a stunning sense of self realization.
 Call me irrational, but apparently, I couldn't stop thinking of him as my husband , even after two years. Soon he wouldn't be my husband.
He would be  my ex -husband.
i hated that word.
It had such a plethora of negative connotations to it. When you hear it , you just brace yourself for unpleasantness.
 Because it is unpleasant. A marriage ending, a family breaking, feelings hurt , hearts shattered,  angry words tossed...its all a very unpleasant experience for everyone involved.
An ex husband was seldom a harbinger of happiness, more often a reminder of choices gone wrong, regrets and wasted time. and I didn’t want to associate Taehyung with a word like that.
Taehyung who was still the kindest, warmest human being I knew. The best father in the world.
I felt like someone had sucked all the strength out of me.
I didn’t really want to think about the call I’d gotten from Taehyung last night. An appointment with a divorce lawyer.  It had been followed by an apology because apparently, someone in the law firm had let the info leak. And now it was all over the sleazy tabloids that fed on people’s misery.
It was impossible to escape it too, Taehyung was famous. An idol. And actor. The country's sweetheart. And he was the epitome of perfection. The beautiful, talented actor with an impeccable record of well behavior.
I knew that literally everyone on the planet thought he was a literal angel.
 I remembered how much , by contrast, I had been hated when I'd married him.
I could just imagine how much more it would all be this time around. And i wondered if it bothered Taehyung too. Did he perhaps wish he’d never met me
It had been sheer luck that we had met....
In fact, if Jimin's  car hadn't broken down right outside our home on that cold December night, I wouldn't have even met Taehyung. A great cosmic shift, somewhere some butterfly flapped its wing a certain way and suddenly, Jimin’s car ran over a thumbtack and his phone was dead so while he tried to fix the damage , Taehyung  just had to knock on our home and I had been the one to open it.
Boom. That was it. Love at first sight.
 I had been a high school kid and he had been barely nineteen. Fresh faced and cheerful , the struggling idol from a small company. He hadn't been surrounded by fans or chased by saesangs. He hadn't had security tailing him. No daesangs, BBMAs, or acting awards. No blockbuster movies to his credit , no chart-bursting songs either .
And I had fallen in love with that version of him.
The hardworking, talented young man who worked twice as hard as anyone around him.
 That's right. You've loved him for fifteen years.  So it's understandable that you're upset. Now, maybe you can move on too. Go on a few of those blind dates that Jiyoung is always setting you up on. Go live your life instead of being a zombie. Get a hair cut. Dye your hair red. Do something to get your life in order.
"I still find it hard to believe that he would want a divorce. Jangmi yah... did you tell him you forgave him? Tell him you wanted to try again..." My mother said again and the distress in her voice was equal parts heartbreaking and exasperating.
"Mother, I don't want to try again . We aren't married anymore. It's over, whatever it was between us. "
 Whatever it was.
How cruel, to have all that love, all that affection  reduced to a phrase like that.
What a pity.
"But what about Hoshi? He needs his father..." My mother cried out and I willed myself not to snap. She means well, I thought miserably.
"He has a father. Taehyung is an excellent father and you know that. Don’t start that again.”
My mother sighed.
"I still feel that this wouldn’t happen if you tried a little bit. He’s a good boy. Such a good boy and you could never do anyone better. Why are you so full of pride, Jangmi... so prideful...you should be a little humble. Think of the kind of man he is...where would you find a man like that ? And moreover .... Taehyung loves you. i know he does." My mother said stubbornly.
I sighed, feeling my fingers shake from the effort not to scream. I wasn’t strong enough to have this conversation with her. Not now. Possibly never. Taehyung did  love me. Had never made any effort to hide it. But sometimes, love wasn’t enough. It just wasn’t.
And I wanted to yell at my mother she was at least partially to blame for me walking out on Taehyung.
My father had left us for another woman , when I was twelve. I had seen the toll it had taken on my mother and I just knew that I would never let a man do that to me. My mother had later confided in me that it wasn’t the first time. He had done it before. A lot of times. And my mother had always forgiven him. Let him back into our lives.
And one night, drunk on soju she had confided between hiccups, ‘ I wish I’d walked out the first time.”
And that had stuck with me.
Walk out the first time.
If he cheats on you , walk out the first time. Don’t stick around waiting for him to do it to you again. Walk out the first time.
 And so I had.
“ Should I talk to him? Tell him you’ve changed your mind? “ My mother began and I felt my patience snap.
“No!! Could you just, for the love of God, stay out of this, ma? It’s over. Our marriage is over and it has been over for a long time. A piece of paper doesn’t really change that, does it? Its not my fault you can’t get over it but that’s a you problem. And you need to fix it yourself.  “ I shouted.
My mother immediately recoiled, eyes shuttering down.
“Of course. You know the best. Who cares how anyone else feels, right, Jang Mi? You always know best.” She said softly, and I exhaled, shaken. There it was. The guilt trip. It was never ending.
Please... I just need to go now.” I moved to grab my bag, :” I need to go get ready for the meeting with the lawyers tomorrow. You can keep Hoshi with you tonight.  I’ll come pick him up after I’m done and then I’ll drop him off at his father’s place.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With Taehyung and I, our break up hadn’t been terrible.
It hadn’t been terrible because our own penchant for being terrible had always been very minimal. We didn’t do swearing or fights or threats and it always annoyed our friends that we got along so well. That it was so easy for us to forgive and move on with each other . That we were the one couple who didn’t hold grudges or bring up past mistakes.
Which is why, when we did break up, none of our friends had tried to change our minds over it. They had accepted it rather calmly, shocked at first because it was so out of the blue but not opposed to the idea itself . They just trusted us to know the right thing to do because we were easily the most mature , the most level headed couple in the entire group. We were usually the sounding boards , the voice of reason in whatever petty conflict our friends were involved in .
So when it was us, needling a little advice, a little guidance, our friends had been woefully ill equipped to help. They had merely hummed and nodded and empathized. Maybe that was another reason I’d left. I hadn’t considered the alternative. No one had asked me to consider the alternative.
Our friends had watched us drift apart watched us break up, but they hadn’t really asked us  why.
Because if something had caused Kim Taehyung and Jang Mi to break up, man, that must’ve been a really huge issue.
So the break up had been amicable. Gradual and slow but mostly amicable, eased by our mutual love for our son. We wanted him happy and he was happy when we were happy. So we put on a front, laughed and joked in front of him and let him have some semblance of normalcy in his life.
It wasn’t easy.
From him,  it had been nothing but a mess of   heated glances, touches laced with intent and eyes begging forgiveness . every gaze of his was a silent scream for a second chance that I was not at all ready to give.
Because for me, the raw hurt and anger and frustration that bubbled up every time I saw him , it had nowhere to go. It stayed churning in my gut, made everything bitter and unpalatable and I wanted to hurt him for hurting me. How could I think of a second chance when the hurt from the first, was still so fresh, an open wound festering.
Self esteem in tatters, I had hated him fiercely.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The meeting was at his company, and I arrived at nine in the morning, with a few more minutes to spare.  I knew the place like the back of my hand, was here at least  once a week either to pick or drop Hoshi off and I knew that the conference room in the third floor was sound proof and cut off from the rest of the building for extra privacy.
Which was a little too late because I’d found two tabloid newspapers waiting outside my apartment this morning.
I opened the door carefully, surprised to see Taehyung sitting in one of the chairs, bent over a sheaf of paper on the table and next to him a leggy girl in a small skirt hovered, fingers resting lightly on his shoulder, bent at the optimum angle to show him her curves.
I sighed, looking away.
It was way too early for this.
“Mia!” Taehyung’s voice made me look up, and I watched as he stood up, pushing the chair away and moving to me . He was easily the most good looking man in the country. And he looked so good at thirty five that it was impossible to look away from him.
He was dressed in a pale blue shirt and black slacks and it never amazed me, how good clothes fit him.
Tumblr media
I took in the broad shoulders, thick arms and the lean waist, the carefully styled hair and the breathtakingly beautiful face and sighed when he kept coming closer, hands held out. .
Of course, the customary hug.
i let him wrap his arms around me, my face buried in the comforting warmth of his body, the scent of his cologne filling my brain . He always smelled so good it made my heart hurt. I tried not to let myself get carried away. Tried to remind myself that this wasn’t anything more than a.....
A facade ? Or was it? Was his affection genuine?
Was I just too cynical?
I shook my head, pulling away and smiling a little at the genuine venom in the leggy girl’s face.
“Are you okay? Where’s Hoshi?” Taehyung brushed the hair off my face, eyes warm and I wondered if he’d forgotten we were here to get a divorce.
 Whenever we met, Taehyung acted like we were still together.
No, that wasn’t it.
He just didn’t act like we had broken up. He was affectionate and open and cooperative. It always left me in a sort of limbo, unable to navigate our relationship with clear boundaries. There were no line to stop myself from crossing, because he just didn’t draw them.
“ Ms. Lee says we just have to go over the details like the alimony and the custody and the division of assets and then we can just proceed. Get it all finalized.  “ He said casually, when I moved away and sat on the chair opposite him.
“Okay .” I said casually.
He smiled and turned back to the girl next to him.
“I’ll join you after the meeting Lisa.” he gave her a nice wide smile and the girl practically bloomed under the attention before bowing curtly in my direction. I watched her walk away, slightly amused.
“Bit younger than your usual type.” I commented , glancing at him. He gave me a look.
“I’m not dating her.” He shrugged.
“Does she know that?” I retorted.
 It was dumb. Uncalled for. I was being a bitch, really but the urge to evoke some kind of reaction from Taehyung was something I’d never really out grown. I liked getting under his skin.
Taehyung sighed and gave me a little smirk.
“Are you jealous, Mia mine?” He teased.
It felt a little like someone had dug a nine inch dagger straight  into my heart.
That stupid nickname.
God I couldn’t bear it.
Swallowing i looked away.
“Sorry. “ he said quietly, a few seconds later.
I nodded curtly.
“Don’t do it again.” I said hoarsely.
“Why not?” He whispered gently.
I groaned.
“Taehyung... “
“it’s just a name...why does it bother you so much?” He whispered.
“The same reason you’re asking me for a divorce.” I said softly.
He blinked.
“Mia...”
“Because we both know its time to stop.” I said quietly. “ Stop dancing around each other , stop doing...whatever it is we’ve been doing these past two years and give our relationship a name. “
“I’m not very fond of labels.” He shrugged. I glared at him.
“Well tough luck. Labels are good. Labels are great. They let you draw boundaries. “ I retorted.
“You sound like you’ve had enough of me.”
“Well, haven’t you had enough of me?” I snapped.
“Not even close.” He leaned forward gently, eyes pinning me to the table with a gaze so strong he may as well have used his body. And it didn’t help that two years wasn’t enough time to forget how it would feel if he  had  used his body. How it would feel to be stretched out on that table, him on top of me, hands working my clothes open, lips kissing their way down my jaw.
I could almost taste him, taste the minty freshness of his breath, feel his tongue in my mouth, the hardness of him inside me. My thighs clenched because I hadn’t gotten laid in two fucking years and even if i did, no one would ever compare to the man in front of me.
“Mr. Kim? Mrs. Kim? “
The lawyer’s voice broke the spell and i straightened, swallowing. Ms. Lee had walked in , and I watched her close the conference door behind her before locking it gently.
She was young, dressed in a business suit , a no nonsense bun and had small round framed glasses. She gave me a nice smile, shook hands with us both and placed her briefcase on the table before glancing between us.
“Shall we begin?”
A Series of Unfortunate Events Fake Dating - Jumin Han
A sudden message beep surprised you, causing you to look down at your phone. It was a text message from Jumin: Call me.  Immediately suspecting the worst, you quickly pressed his contact, the number dialing in seconds. There was a few seconds that ran by before the other end answered with a curt, "Y/n."  "Jumin, hey, is something wrong?", you asked, worriedly.  "Everything is perfectly fine. I was calling to ask you a favor -- feel free to decline." Jumin never asked for favors, or your help in general.. you knew whatever it was you were determined to assist him in the best way possible. "Of course, Jumin! Anything."  There was silence for a moment as if he was contemplating whether or not it this favor was truly worth asking before he spoke, "Please decline if you are unable to but... I was wondering if you'd be willing to indulge my father. He's insisted that I bring you with me to our business closure."  "Jumin", you began, "I'd be honored. I'd love to!"  On the other line, there was a sigh of relief (or of worry, you weren't sure). "Mr. Kim will be at your apartment to pick you up tomorrow. The meeting is taking place in Monoco -- pack for a ten-day trip" There was a pause before Jumin breathed out a quiet, "Thank you."  You couldn't hold back your smile, thankful that the conversation was over the phone, making it impossible for him to see your dopey expression. He hung up, leaving you to pack. Your mind quickly wandered from what you needed in your suitcase to worrisome waters.  You and Jumin had a very deep friendship following the party you’d thrown, spending the time following the ginormous celebration to get to know each other. It warmed your heart that your newfound friend took so much joy in being with you -- even when he tried not to show it. You lost track of the number of times you ended up sleeping over at his penthouse after accidentally staying up until 4am talking with him, swishing expensive wine in your mouths.  You didn’t expect falling in love to come so easily. You were someone who was quite choosey with your partners -- you weren’t one to fall easily for anyone. Even in your past relationships that sometimes lasted years, you’d never felt the way your heart felt now that you were with him. And yet, you were best friends. You were sure you meant something to him in so far as friendship, but you had respected him when he’d gotten drunk one of the first nights he met you and spouted out his heart to you..
-  “Y/n, to tell you the truth.... I’ve never fallen in love before.” He gazed up at you lackadaisically from his position on the sofa -- head rested over the top of the sofa cushion, his arm lazily resting under his chin. He started at you for a moment, his gray eyes gazing into your own with a hazy, absent feeling in them.  You laughed, “I find that hard to believe.” You walked over to him, absent-mindedly running your fingers through his tousled hair. He let out a long, uncharacteristic sigh, his eyes closing gently.  You leaned in close to him, looking him in the eye. “Can I tell you something, too?” He nodded. “I haven’t either.”  -  You grinned at the memory. You firmly believed that conversation was what brought you and him together closer than ever before. He’d always found an excuse to call you over for the silliest of reasons. Either he needed a certain form that he was positive he accidentally slipped into your bag on accident and needed to see it first-hand to check, or he realized he’d bought more wine than was necessary for a night alone.  It made you smile for months that he couldn’t get out the words “I miss you” or “I want you to come over”. Even to you, the words sounded intimate.. but that was the way your relationship worked -- you were very close with each other, as two best friends ought to be.  Still, as much as you tried, you couldn’t control the way your heart began to constrict when he got especially close to you. You couldn’t help it when you’d shiver when he gently brushed cat fur away from your cheek. You were shocked that despite his perceptive personality, he didn’t seem to notice or acknowledge your deep blush during these interactions... maybe he was uncomfortable with them.... you hoped not.  There were times the air was knocked out of you. Literally. Once, you weren’t paying attention to the fact that the sidewalk had ended and you were walking straight into oncoming cars coming off the highway when a muscular arm slid around your waist and pressed your body flush to his own. You stared with eyes wide open at Jumin, who comically seemed equally surprised at his actions. You couldn’t help the way your eyes trickled down to his sultry lips, taking in their beautiful red-wine color, blooming like dark roses. Thankfully, he seemed too preoccupied with your current state of mind and physical wellbeing. When you finally managed to get your mind out of the gutter, you thanked him profusely, grabbing his hands impulsively and begging to reward him in some way. His answer surprised you, “I--uh-- a movie. I’d like to do more research watching one of those movies you enjoy watching.. for business sales and such.”  “Sure!! I can recommend anything! I’ll drop the email by your office tomorrow” you answered.  A panicked expression took over his face for a moment before returning to its familiar stoicism, “You won’t watch it also?” Your eyes widened in confusion before you answered hurriedly, “Oh! Yeah, I’ll watch it with you. I just wouldn’t want to bother you if you were doing it for work purposes.”  You could never bother me you thought you heard him say, but you couldn’t be sure.  Yep, you were in love with Jumin.  When you at last finished packing, you went to bed, looking forward to the mystery that befell tomorrow.  -  You rose bright and early to prepare for the exciting trip that was bound to come. You couldn’t help the extra bit of effort you ended up putting into your appearance in anticipation of seeing Jumin again and.. possibly sitting next to him on an aircraft.  Right on time, you received a text message from Mr. Kim, indicating that he had arrived at your apartment right on time. As you opened your apartment door to carry your luggage downstairs, you were met with numerous familiar faces of Jumin’s employees who quickly took your heavy luggage items for you. You thanked them, making your way to the elevator with them.  You texted Jumin: Thanks for the help with my luggage :)  In a matter of seconds, you received a reply, Jumin: You’re welcome.  Grinning down at your phone, you didn’t notice your driver's light chuckle, a look of astonishment in his eyes. These blind kids.  You continued to chatter along with Jumin on your phone, at last arriving at the rendezvous point where Jumin and the Chairman pulled in identical black limos alongside your own.  “Thank you, Mr. Kim. I can take it from here.”  Mr. Kim nodded in obedience, ushering you to go to Jumin. Jumin patted the leather seat next to his own in the sleek limousine. You held back a laugh, there were plenty of other seats open for you to sit.. but it warmed your heart that he wanted you right next to him. As friends. The Chairman joined the two of you, sitting across from his son, a mischievous glint in his eyes that only Jumin could recognize. A silent conversation took place between Jumin and his father -- Jumin beginning with a raised eyebrow. The Chairman replied with a sly smirk. Jumin with a scowl, his father with a growing grin. You watched the conversation continue silently before the Chairman at last spoke, “Jumin, my son, I’m overjoyed to see you’ve brought your Y/n with you.” A flash of annoyance crossed Jumin’s face as he said, “My... Y/n?”  You blanched.. of course the thought of you being his made him uncomfortable... but you didn’t think he’d be angry.  “Y/n, I’m glad you could join us. However, as much as I hate to ask this of you, there is something I desperately need from you.”  Before you could speak Jumin interjected, “Absolutely not.”  You caressed his hand, looking up at him with kind eyes, “Jumin, hey, it’s okay.” Looking toward Jumin’s father you said, “Whatever it is, I’ll do my very best.” Jumin’s jaw feathered a bit, but he said no more.  He grinned, “Aren’t you a kind girl. Well, in this business deal, the contract was originally contingent on Jumin marrying his daughter -- which I was against from the beginning. After all, I know the importance of loving the one you wish to be with.” (Jumin rolled his eyes at that.) “Anyway, I declined the offer.”  You were confused, unsure where your part came in.  As if reading your mind, he continued saying, “However, I perhaps let it slip that you two were engaged. I figured you both are so close with each other already, that it would be no issue to play a bit of husband and wife for the sake of business, no?”  Jumin was furious, his nose flared, jaw clenched with hands gripping his knee. “How dare--”  You glanced at him, biting the inside of your cheek, a worried expression painted your face. When he glanced at you, his eyes widened and his shoulders relaxed. This did not go unnoticed by the Chairman.  “We’ll do it, won’t we Jumin?” he looked surprised but made no objection. You leaned in close and whispered shyly, “I want to do something as thanks for this amazing trip.. and for you.”  - Jumin dared to swallow. For me? What the hell does that mean? You were driving him crazy. Every time he looked at you he had to fight to readjust his attention to something else. Does she know what it does to me when she touches me? Even a little bit?  When you’d put your hand on him, Jumin felt his chest and neck grow impossibly hotter, hotter than he’d been feeling when you’d first sat down next to him. Hotter than when you leaned in close and breathily asked him, “Jumin... how long until we’re at the airport?” It was like you’d drawn out every syllable, breathing out every consonant -- your breath tickling his neck. He imagined what it would feel like to have your plump, rosy lips on his neck, on his chest, on his lips, on his-- he was in over his head. He cursed himself for his lack of control. Usually, control was not an issue for Jumin -- in fact, he considered it one of his greatest strengths. From his leadership position in his father’s company, C&R, to his well-controlled temperament and stress management.. Jumin just didn’t do “no control”.  At first, it intrigued him. He could remember the exact day it hit him. He’d invited you to an elegant dinner his company hosted to celebrate (in a sort of “humble-brag” sort of way) yet another successful business closing with one of the biggest corporations in America. He’d been finishing off yet another glass of his new Domaine de la Romanee-Conti he’d bought when his eyes at last placed you at the front of the champagne server. His eyes raked up and down the soft, silk gown that clung to your body in all the right places. The gown hung loosely, exposing your back and most of your chest, a sultry slit separating one of your elegant legs from the other hidden in the fabric. It was a breath-taking emerald color... but all Jumin could really think of is how he’d take it off. Your hair was curled and done-up marvelously with little white pearls decorating the crown of your head like you had stars in your hair... but all Jumin could really think of was how he’d mess it up. His cheeks were on fire. Everything in his body had risen in temperature of what felt like a hundred degrees. He twirled his wine glass between his fingers before setting it down at one of the well-decorated tables. I must have a fever, he thought, that must be it. Your eyes found his person just as he was turning around to leave, speed walking to one of the penthouse balconies for fresh air. You raced after him or at least followed him as fast as your obnoxious heels allowed you to go.  You breathlessly met him as he was staring out into the night. Jumin realized that his temperature was slowly returning to normal. Perhaps the room was a bit suffocating. I’ll be sure to message Mr. Kim about increasing the air conditioning in the room. But... looking back on it now, Jumin knew he was lying to himself even then. Because, when he turned around he almost let out a shout. And his breath became uneven again, and it felt so burning hot all over again.  You slowly crept toward him, donning a concerned expression saying, “Jumin... are you alright?” Jumin backed into the marble railing. He was so eloquent normally but all he could let out then was a choked, “Fine.” He couldn’t take his eyes off you. Every step closer, he wanted to run. The stars were reflecting in your eyes and the moonlight made your supple skin look impossibly softer... You gently cupped his face and whispered, “Jumin, talk to me..? Please?” Jumin was heaving, looking down at you with rosy red cheeks and burning ears. “I--I think I have a... fever. A fever.”  You gasped, taking one of your hands and lightly grasping the back of his neck, pulling him down slightly. His eyes widened as you took your other cold hand and placed it on his burning forehead. “Oh my god! Oh my gosh, we -- ambulance! An ambulance.. a doctor? Or.. are you... drunk?”  “My room... please,” he begged.  You looked him up and down, examining his face for strain or discomfort. When you couldn’t find any, you let out a breath -- perhaps you’d overreacted. Nonetheless, you swung his arm over your shoulder and trudged through the now quiet dining area. Most had filtered out to the ballroom for dancing. You’d been here a million times, so remembering the way was no chore. You fished through his shirt and coat pockets, running your gentle digits across his chest, assuming the moan Jumin gave off was due to pain, still, a blush flushed your cheeks. “Sorry, I’m almost done.” You held him against the wall since at this point he couldn’t stand. Maybe I am a little drunk, he thought. You moved down to his pants pockets, your hands roaming through a business card and other odds and ends, eliciting another soft groan from Jumin. “Almost there...” you breathed, at last pulling out a key card and with a soft beep, opening his penthouse suite. You gently carried him to his bed before going to grab a glass of water and a cold washcloth. When one was placed on the table and the other on his forehead, you at last placed a warm throw blanket you’d found in his closet over him.  ...That memory became a source of numerous dreams. Jumin couldn’t forget it, no matter how many times he’d wished he wanted to (or wished it all to happen again).  - You gazed at him, looking at the way his expression hardened at times, softening and then suddenly switching to an expression you’d never seen before. What was he thinking about? You bit your lip, nervous that Jumin might change his mind upon meeting this woman his business partner wanted him to marry. She was certainly more beautiful, right? After all, Jumin hadn’t necessarily made any physical contact voluntarily toward you more than an occasional back rub in your asked after a long day at work, or if he got drunk while you two accidentally stayed up late -- then he’d sometimes caress your face with a love-sick expression and saying little things like, “You’re beautiful.” It was cute, for sure, but what drunk doesn’t turn into a soft puddle of goo, complimenting everyone around them?  You leaned into him as subtly as you could manage, closing your eyes to concentrate for a few minutes.  - You jumped awake when a deep voice rumbled in your ear, “We’re here.” You could hear the slight smirk in his voice, and sure enough, when you looked up, you saw a slight smile on his face. “Did you have a good dream?” You looked toward your left, thankful the Chairman was already out of the limousine and speaking on his phone to someone. “I--I had a dream?”  Jumin’s smirk stretched a little wider, “Yes. You said my name a couple times.”  Your eyes widened in shock before saying, “Oh! That dream! Yeah, I was dreaming that you were being eaten alive by bears and I was forced to watch!” God, you were such a bad liar. Jumin blinked. He felt sort of stupid. “Oh,” he cleared his throat awkwardly, “I see--”  Grateful for his gullibleness, you added, “Why, what did you think I was dreaming about?”  Jumin avoided eye contact saying, “Not anything in particular.”  A call for Jumin interrupted your conversation, making Jumin almost run out of the limo. You smiled a bit, a little flush rising up to your ears.  Jumin returned again, grabbing your hand. “This way,” was all he said. You followed him to the private jet that the Chairman was already boarding. You caught yourself staring at Jumin again as you followed him up the stairs to the entranceway of the cabin. Jumin smartly chose a seat far away from his father’s field of vision. He’d had enough of his unnerving looks when you’d fallen asleep on his shoulder, whispering things Jumin was beyond grateful only he could hear... at least he hoped. When you occasionally began to whine a bit louder he’d quiet you down by running his hands through your hair and stealing glances toward his father nervously saying, “A nightmare.” He wondered if he’d fooled his father, because the Chairman lightly chuckled and made his way to the passenger seat of the limo, sliding the privacy door shut. It had only gotten worse from there, you almost shouted his name, but he covered your mouth. Heat had been pooling in his stomach for a while now, but he didn’t know how much more he could take. Still, every time he thought of waking you up, you’d grab at his chest or legs,  effectively completely embolizing him.  You, of course, were unaware of all of this. You sat down next to him eagerly and wrapped your arm around his, pulling him close to watch a movie on the jet screens. It was almost 9pm by now, the night sky beginning to close in on the quiet aircraft. Neither of you could remember when you fell asleep, only waking up to the soft announcement of arrival from the pilot on the overhead and a soft blanket placed over the two of you.  You both groggily made your way to your waiting limousine to take you to the complimentary hotel stay at one of the chains owned by your expectant future business partner.  “Of course, I know you two are just friends.” The Chairman looked at you two before continuing, “So I have two hotel rooms, you’re 17 and you, Miss Y/N, are 18. I’m in master suite 3, so feel free to reach out whenever.” His eyes glittered as he said, “Have fun. Remember to act like a loving fiance! Especially you, my son." Jumin pinched the bridge of his nose, shaking his head in contempt.  You turned your head toward Jumin, “Um, well, I’m pretty tired as you could probably already tell,” you laughed uncomfortably, “so I think I’ll head off to bed.”  Jumin blinked a few times before saying, “I will as well. Goodnight, Y/N.” You whispered a shy goodnight in reply before slinking into your hotel room.  - You awoke the next day to a call from a maid outside your door - room service. You thanked her before diving into your waffles, complete with chocolate dressing, whipped cream, strawberries, and powdered sugar. A glass of orange juice was delivered along with various other breakfast options and a bowl of kiwi, dragonfruit, apple, watermelon, honeydew, and almost any other fruit you could think of. Following your delicious breakfast, you padded over to the bathroom, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes and running the shower. Going through your morning routine helped calm you despite the role you weren’t at all prepared to play in just a few hours.  You jumped at the knock at your door. Looking through the peephole, it was Jumin. Flinging the door open, you looked at him expectantly. You were met with silence other than a few “uh.... uh....”s. You looked at him sarcastically, “What?”  He continued to stare, not at your face, however. You laughed but quickly grew silent as you met his gaze. You were an actual moron. What. The. Fuck. You were still in your fucking panties?!?! You slammed the door shut, running to slip on some shorts you found lying on the ground in the bathroom. Taking a deep breath you gently opened the door this time. Jumin was standing still as a statue when he snapped out of his trance at last. He looked away, “Try not to be dressed. I mean STRESSED.” he sputtered, “I-I’m going to leave now--”  “Um, Jumin?”  He slowly turned around, face as red as a strawberry, “Yes?”  “Um, sorry. About before. Um. Do you-- do you want to get some coffee? I’m still waking up, if you couldn’t already tell,” you laughed nervously.  He smiled warmly, “I’d love to.”  You awkwardly nodded before shutting your door. You ran to your hotel bed and screamed into one of the pillows. You cursed under your breath before making your way to the bathroom once more to finish the makeup look you had begun before being interrupted.  After 45 minutes, you looked your outfit up and down. You packed outfits that were elegant -- you bought clothes that looked expensive but in the kind of way that was subtle. Nude tones and deep colors, specifically. You were aiming for a look that said, “I’m not rich, I’m just comfortable. And by that I mean I’m rich.” You were never insecure about the difference in your and Jumin’s paycheck.. but when you’re supposed to play a part. And if you showed up in your comfy joggers and t-shirt like you normally wore when you visited Jumin or were free from work.. you had a feeling their reaction wouldn’t be the most inviting or understanding.  At last, you stepped out of your room, turning left to knock on Jumin’s door. He beat you to it, opening his door unexpectedly. This caused you to instead lean forward from your momentum and place your hand on his chest. You hurriedly adjusted his tie, doing your best to act as if that’s what you’d meant to do all along.  Jumin appeared to be just as surprised, but grinned, “No leggings and t-shirt today?” You jabbed him with your elbow as you made your way to the coffee bar, “Do you think they’d be all welcoming to your soon-to-be wife if she showed up in lounge clothes?”  “I’ve never complained.”  You scoffed, “Yeah, well, that’s because you’re nice. And, you apparently understand that not everyone can live in a suit every day.”  He paused for a moment before mumbling slightly, “Who cares what they think anyway.”  “I do! I don’t want to let your dad down. I told him I’d do this. We’re in Monaco, Jumin! C’est la vie!” “Parles-tu français?”* “Oui..?”  Jumin chuckled darkly before leaning in, saying, “Tu es juste trop mignonne.”** You blinked before replying, “...oui...?” Jumin looked at you incredulously with a slight smile on his face as he laughed, lightly ruffling your hair.  Jumin ordered for you -- apparently, it was quite clear you only knew a few words in French. Unfortunately, he also paid for you, despite your objections. Before you could yank his platinum card out of his hands, the transaction was already complete. He gazed down at you, an eyebrow raised with a triumphant smirk, “Elle aura aussi beaucoup de crème dans son café.”*** “Hey, what are you saying?! Jumin!! Speak Korean or English or Japanese! Something I can understand!!” You complained.  The worker interjected, “C’est tellement agréable de voir un couple sur leur ‘oneymoon.”**** You instinctively interjected, “Oh, that’s not--!”  But Jumin just smiled and nodded.  Upon sitting down at one of the many open tables, you let out a little giggle, “I wonder what it’ll feel like when I’m on the real thing.” Jumin quickly looked up from his staring contest with his coffee, “Real.. what?”  You grinned dreamily, “Honeymoon.”  “You.. want to get married?” “Don’t you?”  Only to you, he thought. “Maybe. If the right person came along.” If you’d ever say “yes”.  You held back the nervous twinge you felt in your throat, “Alright then, don’t be shy. What’s your type?”  “My.. type?”  “Yeah! Like, your ideal girl.” He paused, looking pensively at you. “Well, then I suppose my ‘type’ is a girl who is beautiful, and smart, and pretty... and always makes me laugh. And is bold but also shy.” His eyes widened as he grew quiet, “...something like that.”  You were shocked. He said he’s never fallen in love before.. but it sounds like he already has some girl in mind. “Wow. You’ve... thought a lot about this.”  Jumin looked surprised at himself -- he cleared his throat, “Just some ideas.”  You were still skeptical but changed the subject, “So, what exactly does this whole ‘wifey’ thing entail?” “Most likely just a ring on your finger and a fake smile.” “Oh come on, there’s more to it than that.”  “I’m sure my father has the details.” As if on cue, his phone chimed. “Ready to head out?”  “Yep!” You weren’t entirely sure, but you were beside yourself with nervousness and a bit of excitement. If you can’t have the real thing, you shouldn’t complain about a chance to fake it, right? And sure, you knew it was much more complicated than that -- what if he realized your true feelings?! ...You shook the thoughts out of your head and made your way to the waiting vehicle outside of the hotel. - “Monsieur Lorenzi! Good to see you!” The Chairman shook hands with who you assumed was the boss. “Let me introduce to you my son, Jumin, and his beloved fiance, Y/n.” You waved, smiling despite the twang in your heart. You and Jumin shook hands while Mr. Lorenzi introduced you to his daughter.  “It is so nice to meet you! This is my daughter, Ginevra.”  Immediately, you sized Ginevra up -- and she does not look happy. “So.. you’re the bitch who stole Ju-Ju from me?” “Ginevra! Be polite, please?” Mr. Lorenzi practically begged her, but she wasn’t budging, “Oh, come on. Their ‘engagement’ hasn’t even been released to the press yet!”  You looked worriedly between Jumin and Ginevra, but Jumin lovingly put his hand over yours, a soft smile on his face, “I’ll handle this, sweetheart.” He couldn’t help himself and lightly pecked your cheek, smirking into the kiss when he heard you elicit a small “oh!” Facing the irate woman, though, Jumin smiled in a way you’d seen him smile when he wasn’t particularly...happy.. about something. “Miss Ginevra, I can assure you Y/N and I are completely in love. She is my fiance, after all. That being said, we decided not to alert the media because we wanted our own privacy until the wedding.”  Ginevra scoffed, “Please. You barely even look like you’re dating. Face it, I know you want me, Jumin.” She bit her lip in a way that was supposed to be seductive, but Jumin couldn’t hold back the slight cringe that crept onto his face.  “T-that’s enough Ginev--”  “God! Shut up, Dad!  Mr. Lorenzi backed down at that, looking apologetic and embarrassed toward the Chairman and Jumin, and especially toward you.  You were growing tired of the entire conversation, “Shall we sit down?”  All except Ginevra agreed readily, the Chairman coughing in a way that sounded more like a laugh he was trying to conceal. Jumin's jaw clenched when he sat next to you, to your left and Ginevra quickly sat in the seat to his left. The meal went as well as expected. Jumin's father recognized that Jumin had his hands full and spent the majority of the dinner talking business with Mr. Lorenzi without his son.  Meanwhile, you were awkwardly playing with your filet mignon, avoiding eye contact with everyone until Jumin leaned his face down to your avoidant eye level. You snapped out of your trance immediately. You looked up at him -- his eyebrow was raised with an inquisitive expression. Okay, that was adorable. You held back your intruisive thoughts, blinking up at him, silently asking, "What is it?"  Jumin stared a little longer than necessary, before snapping out of his own trance and leaning in further and whispering in your ear, "...Are you alright?"  You nodded in reply, "Just a little uncomfortable."  Jumin gazed down at you in concern, "We can leave if you--"  "No. No, I'll stay." Who knows what that girl will do if I leave. He didn't look convinced.  Suddenly, Ginevra was calling for Jumin. Repeatedly. He turned in annoyance, "Yes?"  Her voice got low, clearly to exclude you from the conversation, "Let's go somewhere..." she looked Jumin up and down slowly, "...else.." And with no shame, she lowered a manicured hand to his knee, slowly trailing it up to his thigh. He immediately grabbed her wrist, saying in a low, deadly voice, "I have a fiance."  She sighed in frustration, "You're kidding yourself, baby--"  Jumin's eyes widened suddenly, and not due to anything Ginevra was saying. Your hand was high on his thigh as you leaned into the conversation you'd heard the entirety of. "Miss... whatever your name is.... Jumin is my husband. Soon. We have something you could never dream of every having because your personality sucks. And honestly, only you can fix that."  There was silence at the entire table for a moment before Ginevra turned her head quickly toward her father, "Daddy?!"  Her father had already gotten up, ushering the business conversation to continue rather than deal with his trainwreck of a daughter. She huffed, looking red in the face, perhaps in embarrassment as well as anger. "Well, you still can't prove that you're even dating!"  You very furious now, your glare cold enough to freeze the desert, "Is proof really the only thing that will shut you up?"  Before she could even answer, you geared your pissed off expression toward a semi-intimidated, semi-turned on Jumin and grabbed his face, meeting his lips with your own. Your kiss was meant to only last a few seconds at most, but when you tried to pull away, Jumin only deepened the kiss, pulling your face harshly toward his own. He tugged at your hair, earning a loud moan from you as he forced his flush lips further onto yours, his tongue gaining entrance into your mouth. His eyebrows were deeply knit into a consentrated expression, groaning as he felt you readjust your position onto his lap. You stradled his lap, a leg on either side of him, your tongues battling for dominance as you fished for air between you two. At last, you both parted, heaving in big breaths as a string of spit clung between your mouths -- only to go in for another searing kiss. You began to roll your hips against his own, gently at first but quickly gaining more momentum and roughness as you two continued to make out. You'd noticed his hard-on the moment you'd straddled his lap but it only grew as you two began to explore the other's body. And just like that, you realized you were still in a formal dining setting. With other people. You pushed against Jumin's chest, looking around you in a frenzy. Ginevra was long gone along with the Chairman and Mr. Lorenzi. It was just the two of you, it looked as if it was after hours for the dining here. Soft jazz still played melodically through quiet speakers. Your eyes met back again with Jumin. He was smirking, still breathing heavily, his eyes glowing with mischief and a clear message that said something you probably would blush saying out loud. You laughed a little at the sudden turn of events. Did he like you? You wondered. He made quick work of dragging you (because your legs turned into jelly) out of the dining hall and back to his hotel suite. Jumin hurridely opened his hotel door before slamming you against the wall and continued to kiss you furvently on your neck, chest and of course, lips. He began to grind on you, letting out a soft curse when you mewled in his ear. Both your cheeks were completely red from the heated exchange and the embarrassment that both of you felt at your candid feelings. Yet something still bothered you. You pushed him away with all the strength you had because he was just so addicting. "J-jumin.... wait..." You gasped between breaths, "...I-I don't do this sorta thing... for fun..."  Jumin frowned at this, his jaw feathering as he said darkly, "I don't either."  You shook your head, "No, Jumin... I mean... I-I......" You took a big breath of air, "I'm in love with you. Have, for long time... pretty sure you don't feel .... the same wa--"  Jumin's eyes narrowed as he dove in for another kiss with so much force that the air was nearly knocked out of you. "Y/N," he began, "Do you have any clue how much I've held back? Even now, do you know how hard it is for me not to pick you up and fuck you right here and now? Do you know how long--" He laughed sardonically, "Y/N, I swear you're doing this on purpose."  "Doing wha--" "Making me fall deeper and deeper in love with you! I'm already pass the point of no return. Hell, I've never felt a fraction of what you make feel in a moment... in my entire life."  You took a moment to really look at him. The expression of complete and udder desperation was now clear as day on his face, his cheeks flushed, breathing heavily, his tie loose around his neck, chest slightly exposed. He began again, "Please. Please... put me out of my misery. Say you're mine, please."  Your eyes never leaving his, tears prickling your eyes, you answered, "I always was Jumin.. and I always will be. And, and if the offer still stands--" You blushed, looking down shyly and your feet, ashamed of your own boldness.  Jumin's eyes pooled impossibly darker as he picked you up and led you to his bed, laying you down gently and asking, "I know this is probably soon but... Y/N, will you make me the happiest man on earth?"  You laughed, pure joy on your face as you shamelessly cried, "Yes!" over and over again.  Jumin couldn't hold back the huge grin that took over his face as he kissed you in between laughs.
