Look, because of the Spiderman: Miles Morales game I’m a bit biased.

I don’t want uncle Aaron to die damn it. But yeah the Prowler does exist and you have been keeping contact with him.

But for the sake of keeping the dude alive though he’ll only physically come in act 2 of this series, we gucci?

Although this means you lose a lot of the development Miles gets from his death. I’ll try my best to make the events as natural as possible

Anyways, you come back to the spider gang hanging out at Jason and Roy’s apartment.

The gang essentially jumpscares you (thank god for spider sense) with a suit of your own.

Except it was one size too big.

And there were holes at the eye sockets for you to actually see through.

“Ehrm . . . Thanks ?”

“You don’t gotta pretend you like it, kid.”

“Ahaha…”

“It’ll fit eventually.”

You begin sweating quite a bit. Something felt so off here.

You notice that Jason was looking straight at you.

Which I mean, anyone would be m e l t i n g if someone like Red Hood was staring right at them so it’s a miracle you aren’t a puddle at the moment.

Perhaps it’s cause you spent so much time with your crush, Gwen, that you’ve pretty much gotten used to hot people looking at you directly.

Still, you turn away and hide your face. Utterly clueless as to how react in this type of situation.

The relatively peaceful circumstance doesn’t last long as everyone’s spider sense is alerted and the door bell rings. A mechanical tentacle shoots through the lock, completely shattering it.

“Cute place. Real homey.”

Oh great, it’s Liv.

“Get out of here, kid.”

“For the last time I’m a legal adult—“

“Mira todas estas arañitas. (Well, look at these little spiders.)”

Two more of Kingpin’s men show up, Tombstone and Scorpion.

God, fucking damn it—

Olivia spots the new flashdrive Peni made around Peter’s neck and grins.

“Oh, I think I’ll be taking that.”

You hold in your attraction to the woman and duck as a fight ensues.

Scorpion takes notice of you.

“Niñito dale. (Go ahead, little one.)”

“Prepárate a morir (Prepare to die) — Ah, man stupid pillows!”

Before you could get your body bashed in by the cyborg, Red Hood takes a shot his tail just in time.

“You good?”

“Y-yeah.”

Your spider senses were all over the place just like with Damian. What is it with black haired hot guys and their danger levels-

You manage to slip away, flashdrive in hand, courtesy of invisibility finally working in your favor.

“All vehicles in the area we have a disturbance involving multiple spider . . . people ?”

“On my way.”

Dick wasn’t the type to spend Christmas in Gotham.

But the tone of his brother’s voice — how broken and desperate it was — alarmed him.

It seemed that his baby brother finally fell in love.

It was about time really.

Although he was terribly curious as to who the person the Damian Wayne had fallen for.

You couldn’t just be a normal student from school right?

He finds around the scene looking terrified and scared.

A perfect opportunity to get to know you a little better.

“You alright there citizen?”

“Huh? Yeah I’m fine.”

“You seem pretty calm despite being in a police car and all.”

“My dad’s a cop. He gives me rides in one plenty of times.”

“Jefferson Davis, right?”

“You know him?”

“Well, it’s hard not knowing the guy who’s been looking all over for you. He spread the news to several police departments.”

“That . . . sounds a lot like him . . . “

“You don’t have to worry. I won’t tell him where you are. You need some space, right?”

“Right.”

Nothing outstanding so far. You were cute albeit awkward. But he could see that you were going through things at the moment. Early adulthood is a bitch after all.

You kept quiet most of the ride.

You were so distracted that you didn’t even question how he knew what school you went to and the location of your dorms.

“Hey, I’m a little curious, why don’t you have his last name? Family problems?”

“No, it’s something with my grandfather. I don’t think it’s within my place to share.”

“Well alright.”

You two arrive at your dormitory and you make sure to give the place a good old scan just in case you were getting followed.

“I’ll see ya when I see ya, [Y/N]. Give me a call if you ever need help.”

“Got ya.”

You realize that you don’t even know the man’s name much less a way to contact him.

But as you look back, the car he was in had already driven away.

Time wasn’t going to wait for you.

You knew that. You were trying your darn hardest to chase after it.

But you weren’t fast enough.

“[Y/N]. We came to say goodbye.”

“Goodbye? We can say goodbye at the collider.”

“You’re not getting it. You’re staying here.”

“I need to be there, so you can all go home.”

“They are going home [Y/N]. I’m the only one staying.”

“You’re taking my place.”

Your voice trembled as you say those words. And unbeknownst to you, Jason (and to be fair the rest of the spider-people are out there eavesdropping too) shivered as he heard your words.

“If you stay here you’ll die.”

“I’m doing what needs to be done. I just wanted you to hear it from me.”

“What about MJ?”

“Not everything works out, kid. I need the goober.”

“That’s not fair! You gotta tell them I can do this.”

It took Jason all his might to not reach out and embrace you.

He knew how it felt to be replaced. Circumstances differ but still, a connection was made.

Although he couldn’t be there for you now as you had to grow into the Spiderman you had to be, he promised to himself that he will in the future.

After all, if you two were partners in another universe, what stops it from happening in this one as well?

“It wasn’t their decision.”

“I’m ready, I promise— ah—!”

Peter knocks you down, jumping to the ceiling and dangling you by a web.

Jason clenched his teeth. As much as this man knew so much about him and his vulnerabilities, and how he knew this was completely necessary it still ached to see his destined partner getting thrown around.

“Then venom strike me right now or turn invisible on command so you can get past me.”

Peter webs your entire body and sticks you to the chair your roommate always used.

“Look I know how much you want this kid. But you don’t have it yet. I’m sorry.”

“When will I know I’m ready?!”

He then webs your mouth and takes the goober from your hands.

“You won’t. It’s a leap of faith. That’s all it is [Y/N]. A leap of faith.”

And you’re left alone, stuck with webs all over your body. Unable to move or talk.

You hear a knock to your door.

“[Y/N]. . . ! Uh . . . [Y/N] it’s your dad. Please open the door.”

Unfortunately you couldn’t so you just use thrust your body closer to him.

“[Y/N] I can see your shadow moving around.”

“Yeah okay I get it. I get it yes… still ignoring me. Look can we talk for a minute?”

You nod. Internally facepalming after realizing he can’t see you doing so.

“Look sometimes people drift apart [Y/N] and I don’t want that to happen to us, okay? I know I don’t always do what you need me to do or say what you need me to say but I’m…”

“But I see this - this — spark in you, it’s - it’s amazing. It’s why I push you but . . . it’s yours and whatever you choose to do with it you’d be great.”

You feel tears falling from your face as your father spoke.

All those days feeling the pressure of everyone’s expectations on you

You were an adult in age, yes. But in the face of all these events your youth and inexperience slapped you in your face.

You wanted to run away. You wanted everything to be over and done with.

But you realize, you were the only one who could do this. For the sake of the spider-gang. For Gotham.

You didn’t know if you were going to succeed but wasn’t that what life was?

A leap of faith.

“Look, call me when you can.”

“I love you. You don’t have to say it back though.”

And your father leaves.

You close your eyes. Thinking back to all the moments you’ve failed, all the times you’ve broken a bone or two trying to learn.

Time wasn’t going to wait for you. But why run after it when you can web-sling it up?

You use your venom powers to get rid of the webs and do you best to get to Jason’s place. He had to have an extra, better suit lying around right? Anything was better than what the gang gave you.

You ring the bell to his house completely expecting him to not be there and potentially having to break in.

But you stand corrected.

“Took you long enough.”

Beyond the Spider-Verse Theory: The Hidden Villain

So I've left it a few days after watching Across the Spider-Verse to gather my thoughts. And while you can see my review here it's time for some theory crafting for the next movie: Beyond the Spider-Verse

This theory will discuss the existence of another villain behind the scenes

Spoilers for Across the Spider-Verse

So as we know, the main crux of the Spider Society's storyline is that the Web of Life and Destiny (aka the Spider-Verse) apparently hinges on the concept of 'Canon Events', whereby each Spider has to undergo intersecting moments in each mythos. Miguel O'Hara enforces this pattern via the Spider Society, after his attempts to 'break canon' caused the universe he inhabited, taking over from another dead Miguel's life, to die - along with his alternative universe daughter. We also learn that anomalies like this will cause the web to collapse, and thus Miles - having been bitten by another universe's spider to get spider powers, allegedly robbing the powers from another potential spider - and Spot are walking anomalies and their prolonged time in another universe may cause another collapse.

But something doesn't quite add up.

First of all, if Miles and Spot are anomalies, why is their universe still intact? Same can be said for the Earth-42 spider still in a jar. Additionally, why did Miguel's universe collapse if he had the watch that keeps his atoms good in the universe? Isn't he doing exactly what he alleges Miles is doing, taking over another Spider-person who died in this Universe? Also it's highly unlikely that every Spider is subject to the same canon events; Ben Reilly is a clone and Miguel had his DNA mixed with a spider's so surely that disrupts the OG Canon Event of the Spider-bite right? Miguel never had an Uncle Ben or a Captain Stacy moment in his mythos (unless we're suddenly counting the alt!Daughter as the former), plus in Into the Spider-Verse Gwen already said she saved her dad from dying so wouldn't that have disrupted a Canon Event? Do captains even exist for Peter Parked Car or Spidersaurus Rex?

And finally, how can you say Spot and Miles are anomalies and shouldn't be in the universe when Pravitr's Canon Event is only caused by Spot interfering with his universe?

Like I said, it doesn't add up.

So, how do we establish that the idea of 'Canon Events' are not as strict as they seem, that Miles and Spot aren't reality-threatening anomalies, but also explain what happened to the universe that traumatized Miguel - with Peter B. also as witness to verify the story?

Perhaps, someone is manipulating the web behind the scenes.

In the comics, the Web of Life and Destiny is maintained by the 'Master Weaver', a character key to Morlun and his Inheritors, and while I don't think we're going to see the Weaver in Beyond the Spider-Verse I do feel like somebody could be filling that kind of a role. So ask yourself, who do we know in the Spider-Verse who has a unique interest in other dimensions, has the mind to test and tinker, but also has a fascination slash vendetta against the spiders...

Dr. Olivia Octavius was a highlight of the first movie, but her sudden exit after being hit by a truck was considered an abrupt and unsatisfying end for her. So what if she survived? And when the collider closed she was sucked into the Web of Life and Destiny? An inquisitive mind such as herself would have a wealth of time (well, not literally, given that Miles got a glimpse of the future and Spider Society HQ is in 2099 we can assume that the web exists outside of linear time) to test things, seeing the paths and intersections of other Spiders. Liv however does have one particular Spider she seems drawn to in a negative manner though, Peter B. Parker, so what if Miguel's incident in the universe collapsing was instead an attempted hit towards Peter B., Liv attempting to wipe him out of time by wiping the universe he was in?

It does go deeper, we've seen from the Spot that in his flashback scenes he's always adjacent to Liv, they both identified the Earth-42 spider, and she was the leading scientist on the Collider, so she would have the skills to know this, and if she became able to expand her abilities by being a villainous Master Weaver (like Superior Spider-Man attempted to be by killing the Master Weaver to change his fate), she may also be responsible for directing other Spiders' paths along the same route to manipulate Miguel into his current uncharacteristic way of thinking, she may also be manipulating her colleague Spot to encourage more suffering to the Spiders.

If true, it'll at least give Miguel closure and open the door for him to be apologetic and much less of a dick, but it'd also explain how Miles could become able to divert the idea of Canon Events without destroying his or other universes, liberating each Spider to exist in their own story without having to follow the same pattern. Adding to a much bigger role for Octavius (we did see a lot of variant Doc Ocks in ATSV) would provide a cyclic conclusion to Miles' journey since his other 'first villains' Kingpin and Prowler have been defeated.

But, this is just a theory, there's much room to go other directions, but it was a thought.

It's A School Night, Why Are You Out Saving The World by TechnicolorVocab01 is a great little fic about Jefferson trying to parent the new Spiderman because he's? So small?

To Have And To Hold by Traincat is a short crack snippet explaining why Aunt May calles Doc Ock 'Liv'.

Down The Waterspout by Mockingone is a what-if of Blond Peter surviving and fleeing the collider with Miles. Very sweet, highly recommend.

so lucky, so strong, so proud by ProfessorSpork is a sad little fic exploring how the various Spiders feel to see alternate versions of their dead loved ones. Major ouch.

He can turn Invisible! by Awakening5 is a series of snippets. Increasingly sappy and smutty as they go on, but I personally love them.

Rewatching Into the Spider-Verse and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS:

When Liv (she's my friend shut up) first sees Peter B., she calls him "Spider-Man", this is her enemy, Spider-Man! Back from the dead!

Then she immediately figures out what's going on and starts calling him "Peter", this isn't her Spider-Man! This is just some rando from another dimension!

During the escape from Alchemax sequence, she is very dismissive about Miles, she calls him Peter's "invisible friend", and "young man". This is just a kid! Nothing to worry about!

When she explains to Kingpin what's going on, she dismissively says they just need to get rid of "a few spiders", these aren't HER Spider-Man!

During the final battle, she's about to kill Peter, and even at the most critical moment of their confrontation, she is still calling him by his name.

And then Miles shows up to save the day and she goes: "SPIDER-MAN???"

the main villains that are already in the acau are Kingpin, Doc Ock (liv and otto, rivaling sibling duo), Electro, Kraven, and Venom (not necessarily a villain the entire time). Kingpin isn’t very involved much yet, so not a lot of info for him. Otto works for Oscorp, Liv works for Alchemax, and they are basically rivals in every possibly way and don’t keep in contact with each other. Electro is actually in hiding because a few weeks after Peter returned, he had beaten Maxwell to near-death during a fight, injuring + scaring him so badly that he had no choice but to just disappear while he healed (but most people just assume he died). Kraven doesn’t show up until around the end of year 2, and doesn’t act until the middle of year 3, because Venom shows up in the beginning of year 3 to try and bond with Peter, and Kraven was busy stalking and getting information on Peter and Miles that entire time. Kraven ends up getting killed/eaten by Peter (and reluctantly Miles + Miguel), and that’s when Venom really starts to cause problems and show signs of needing a different host. There are villains im not sure i wanna include yet, such as Sandman, The Rattler, The Lizard, Jackal, etc

So QuarterVerse is basically our fun little AU in which we Sort Of mash Raimiverse and ITSV together on account of the fact that Peter B was originally supposed to be Tobey Maguire. Essentially like, everything up to sm2 is the same and then after that is where things start to shift

So the gang's pretty split. Olivia just straight up replaces Spiderverse Liv because. Yeah. She's working for Alchemax. Harry somehow gets caught up with Kingpin, I'm thinking Kingpin offered to help him take down Spider-Man and by helping him he meant turning him into a big goblin dragon thing. Something akin to the huge goblin monster in ITSV except way small and possibly more dragonlike. He's very animalistic and kind of acts like a big cat. Peter and MJ are unaware of all of this, they're still together.

So like everything in ITSV is the same up to Peter dying. Because he kind of doesn't die! Harry has a realization that he doesn't wanna be doing this and he also did not fucking sign up to get turned into a dragon. Idk if he confronts Kingpin outright or if he sneakily goes behind his back but he takes Peter’s body and nopes the fuck out of there. And the only person he really knows to go to is Olivia, girl with a whole ass lab and a bunch of shit that could help Peter, and him, but he's not going for himself, he's going for Peter. He manages to get into her lab, she's very surprised by all this, but does agree to help both of them. Which leads to Peter ending up in a tube of goop and Harry being hidden away in a little corner of the lab

Spider stuff happens and eventually Miles and the quartet are all brought together. Peter gets let out of the tube at some point but he's a bit fucked up after like, dying, and decides to just retire and hand the mantle off to Miles, sort of being his guy in the chair while Olivia helps build a lot of his tech. Fun little spider family!

Also Gwenom is there at some point. We haven't worked out all the details with her i dont think but she's there

I know Liv probably isn't gonna be in Across the Spider-Verse, more likely going to reappear in Beyond the Spider-Verse instead, as said by co-director Rodney Rothman, he does not consider Liv "gone gone" from the story.

... But istg in the far back if my head, I'm so desperately hoping that Liv will show up at least once in Across the Spider-Verse 😭

Plus, never forget that is was her collider that made everything happen. The spider team in Into the Spider-Verse, the whole bunch of spider people being able to meet each other in Across the Spider-Verse, some of the knowledge on how to go across the multiverse (when Miles & Peter stole Liv's whole monitor to remake the goober).

Everything happened because of this one nerdy (& sadistic) lesbian who was really good at manipulation.

Also what's the deal with Miles? I have vision issues, so graphics and that other stuff has little impact on me (bright side - I can't see Henry Cavill's non-moustache), so Into_ was just a nice little movie, and Across_ ... raises some questions. Like, he has electric powers, and can turn invisible? Why doesn't he turn invisible ANY time it would tactical and not creepy? EVERY other version of Spider-man is on the Council of Ricks but Miles? "Extra powers"+"sole right-thinker" = writer's pet.

Post #2 is where I started to notice some bad vibes. Fair warning, I might start to get a bit annoyed and ramp up from there.

Miles Morales does indeed have invisibility and bio-electricity powers. While sometimes his invisibility is used as an obvious metaphor for feelings of alienation and loneliness - he feels invisible, so he literally becomes invisible - he absolutely uses it tactically in both movies. In ITSV, he uses it to get the jump on Liv Octavius in the super-collider:

And in ATSV, he uses it to sneak past Spider-Byte and access the "Go Home Machine" in order to get the machine to send him back to his home universe and prevent the death of his father. Miles' invisibility allows him to outwit Spyder-Byte, LYLA, and Miguel.

Moving on to your next question, which is a wild pivot in topic, Miles wasn't told about the Spider Society specifically because Miguel views him as a dangerous anomaly and wants to keep him in the dark about what the Spider Society is doing.

Indeed, far from being a designation of any superior status, the movie explicitly frames Miles' exclusion as something that makes him feel anxious and insecure, that he's not good enough to be invited to the club.

Finally, regarding the "writer's pet" note: I feel the same way about this that I do about calling Storm a Mary Sue. Miles Morales is the goddamn protagonist (although given Gwen's prominence especially at the beginning and the end of the film, I'd call him a co-protagonist) and expecting the film not to act like it is just bad cinema appreciation.

Moreover, your specific complaints are baseless:

The movie is absolutely full of Spider-people with "extra powers" - Miguel has talons and fangs and cyber-webs, Jessica Drew has a motor-cycle (and in the comics, pheremone powers and venom blasts like Miles') and can fire webs from her fingertips, Spider-Byte is a decker, there's tons of mecha-Spiderfolk, and on and on. Hell, half the point of the Spider Society is to give the writers and animators the freedom to think up as many Spiderfolk with as many "extra powers" as they can.

The movie explicitly shows that Miles isn't the "sole right thinker." Not only is there the whole arc about Gwen finding her "band" of other spider-dissidents - Peter B. Parker, Peni Parker, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Pavitr Prabhakar, and Spider-Byte - but there is also HOBIE GODDAMN BROWN, anarchist community organizer. As I said in my original review, he knows that Miguel and the Spider Society are wrong from the beginning and works subtly in the background to radicalize Miles and others against the Spider Society, help Miles escape custody, and steal/reverse-engineer Miguel's tech to allow Gwen to assemble her "band."

FELICIA MADE HER WAY TO MILES’ UNCLE’S APARTMENT, SLIPPING THROUGH THE WINDOW WITH EASE. she greeted miles with a quiet, "hey, spider," before sitting down beside him on the floor.

miles looked up at her with a somber expression. "a year ago, i used to get picked first for everything," he said. "sports, friends, academics. how the hell did it end up like this?"

felicia felt a pang of sympathy for miles. she understood what it was like to feel like an outsider, and she didn't want him to have to go through that alone. she reached out to grab his hand, resting her cheek against his shoulder. "i’d pick you first," she whispered.

the two of them stayed like that for a while, finding comfort in each other's company. but then, miles suddenly felt a chill down his spine. he said, "someone’s here."

miles turned invisible, leaving felicia to hide stealthily. she remained calm and level-headed, but her heart was pounding with adrenaline.

it was then that the prowler appeared, taking off his mask to reveal that he was uncle aaron. miles grabbed felicia’s hand, and the two of them ran down the fire escape, the prowler hot on their trail.

they raced to aunt may’s house as miles swung them through the streets, dodging danger at every turn.

miles and felicia burst through aunt may's house, their hearts pounding with fear. they found the rest of the spider-people relaxing, unaware of the danger that lay ahead.

miles spoke frantically, "my uncle. my uncle aaron, he's the prowler."

peter put his hands on miles' shoulders, trying to calm him down. "slow down, miles," he said.

felicia chimed in, "he works for kingpin."

miles yelled, "he tried to kill me!"

spider-noir spoke up, "this is a pretty hard-core origin story," causing peni to hit his arm. "it's okay. we're gonna figure it out. were you followed?" peter asked.

felicia said, "most likely."

at the same time, miles said, "no, i don't think so."

the doorbell rang, and before anyone could react, doc ock knocked a hole into the wall. "cute place. real homey," she said, her tone mocking.

aunt may rolled her eyes and said sarcastically, "oh great, it's liv.”

miles said sadly, "i guess i was followed."

peter told him firmly, "get out of here, kid."

miles tried to run out of the kitchen, but tombstone blocked his way. "you messed up, kid. real sloppy," he said, revealing scorpion behind him.

peter backed into the living room, ready to face their foes. "let me guess. you're scorpion. well, we're the spider gang."

aunt may pleaded with them, "would you mind taking this outside?"

peter replied, "we don't pick the ballroom, we just dance."

as felicia faced scorpion, her heart raced with adrenaline. her cat-like instincts kicked in, and she sprang gracefully into action. she moved with such fluidity and precision that scorpion could barely keep up.

felicia's claws flashed in the light as she attacked. she struck with such power and precision that she was able to slice through scorpion's armor. she dodged his attacks with ease, her reflexes honed by years of experience.

scorpion lunged at her, but felicia was ready. she flipped acrobatically over his head, landing behind him before he even had a chance to react. she swiped at his back with her claws, causing him to stagger.

in a flurry of motion, felicia darted in and out, attacking scorpion with a series of swift strikes. with every blow, she weakened his defenses, leaving him vulnerable to her next attack.

finally, in a burst of energy, felicia delivered the final blow. her claws sliced through scorpion's armor, leaving him immobilized on the ground. her eyes follow miles around the house, watching as he leaves with the prowler chasing after him.

felicia chased after prowler and miles, but it was too late. aaron had been shot by fisk and lay unmoving on the rooftop. felicia rushed to the scene, hoping against hope that she wasn't too late.

as she approached, she saw fisk aiming his gun straight at miles. felicia's instincts took over and she lunged forward, grabbing fisk's arm and pulling it back with all her might. the gun went flying out of his hand, skittering across the ground.

with one swift, fluid motion, felicia delivered a powerful kick to fisk's head, sending him spiraling back. as he hit the pavement, she stood over him, “this isn’t over fisk.”

felicia was the first to slip through the window of miles' dorm room, followed closely by the rest of the group. as miles wiped his eyes, felicia walked up to him with a reassuring presence. peter spoke up, asking, "hey bud. you okay?" but miles remained silent, lost in his own thoughts.

peter placed a hand on his shoulder, saying, "we've all been there before. for me, it was my uncle ben." noir added, "for me, it was my uncle ben too." peni spoke softly, "for me, it was my father." gwen said, "for me, it was my best friend."

spider-ham sniffled from behind them, saying, "miles, the hardest thing about the job..." he took a deep breath before continuing, "you can't always save everyone."

miles finally spoke up, saying, "look, it was my fault. you guys don't get it."

but felicia knew better. she said, "but i do. i could've saved peter, and i didn't. his blood is on my hands." they all shared a solemn moment together, united by their shared grief and guilt.

suddenly, miles' roommate walked in and caught them off guard. without a second thought, they all scurried up the wall and hid from him, moving as he faced them. after a brief moment of awkward silence, miles finally spoke up, addressing his roommate with a nervous "hey there."

spider-ham couldn't help but whisper, "do animals talk in this dimension? i don't want to freak him out."

but before anyone could say anything else, the roommate passed out.

as the rest of the group remained occupied inside miles' dorm room, felicia quietly slipped out through the window unnoticed. she knew they were all distracted, but that didn't matter to her. she had a mission to accomplish, a fight to win. she couldn't risk miles or anyone else getting hurt.

making her way across the city, felicia prepared herself mentally for the battle to come. she knew that the stakes were high, but she was ready to face kingpin on her own. she couldn't bear the thought of losing another spider-man and was determined to do whatever it takes to prevent it from happening.

arriving at her squat house, she found stray cats lounging around. she smiled at the sight of them, their presence providing a sense of comfort and familiarity. she reached down to pet a black cat, whispering, "hey, baby."

focusing on the task at hand, felicia began to prepare herself for the fight ahead. she knew the odds were against her, but she refused to back down. she had trained for this moment her whole life, and she was ready to use every skill in her arsenal.

"sneaking up on me is like trying to catch a ghost in the act," felicia quipped, her words tinged with a mixture of sarcasm and aggression.

gwen backed away slightly, sensing the intense energy emanating from felicia. despite feeling intimidated, she remained calm and composed. finally, she spoke up, her voice steady and firm.

"you can’t take out kingpin on your own," gwen said.

as gwen stood there, felicia scoffed at her suggestion of working together. "you think i need your help?" felicia replied arrogantly. "i can handle myself just fine, thank you. and i'll take kingpin down on my own if i have to."

gwen looked at felicia with a mixture of disdain and concern. she knew that felicia was a skilled fighter and wasn't one to back down from a challenge, but the idea of going up against kingpin alone was foolhardy, even for someone as talented as felicia.

"i get it," gwen said, "you're tough and you don't want anyone to interfere with your mission. but kingpin is too big for any one person to take on alone. we need to work together if we're going to have any chance of stopping him.”

but felicia remained unmoved, her eyes flashing with determination. "i can and i will," she said, her voice firm. "i don't need anyone else slowing me down. trust me, i've taken down bigger and badder guys than kingpin before. i can handle this."

as felicia turned to leave, gwen knew there was still hope for getting through to her. she spoke up, trying to reason with felicia one last time.

"we don't have a black cat in my dimension," gwen said, "but i wish we did. you're valuable to our team, and you're too skilled to let yourself get killed. we need you alive and fighting."

felicia paused, considering gwen's words. she knew that gwen was right. she had a unique skill set and a valuable perspective that could make all the difference in the fight against kingpin.

finally, felicia nodded her head, ready to join the fight alongside the group. "fine," she said. "but don't slow me down." with that, she turned and walked away, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
