I really like your takes on Aegon and Alicent specifically so I wanted to know what you think of the theory that Alicent was the one who poisoned Aegon? Or that Aegon knowingly drank the poison himself?

Happy New Year anon and thanks so much for the well wishes! I'll be brief and say that the weekend was An Adventure, but a fun one nevertheless. Hope your's was all you wanted it to crack up to be as well <3 I'm gonna be operating under a view of "do I think the show could go this way" along with what F*&B tells us rather than just looking at book canon, because most of the theorizing I've seen in regards to that tends to be about how the show could adapt it. This is also going to be largely character/motivation based rather than focusing on "evidence" because this is a history book/propaganda article and a part of a TV show that hasn't happened yet, we don't have any concrete evidenceAs with most theories, I think there's validity to either of them because there's very few theories that make me say a flat "no", but in terms of my personal beliefs: I do not think that Alicent poisoned Aegon, but I actually quite like the idea that Aegon might have poisoned himself.

In Alicent's case, I just don't think she had it in her to do it. Not because she's somehow weak or wahtever and couldn't handle it, but because, quite simply, she likely wouldn't be able to dream of it. All of Alicent's family is dead at that point in the Dance, all her other kids and her father and any personal friends she might have had, like Criston. But Aegon's still there, and he's still fighting as best he can. It's that line from Catelyn in A Storm of Swords (which I've just arrived to in my ASOIAF reread): He is my first son. My first son, and my last. For a time, Aegon was all Alicent had in the world, and by the time the Dance ends, he is all she has left. And I think after everything she's lost, everything that's happened to her family (none of the main Greens died kindly at this point, it was all relatively gruesome), Alicent just wouldn't be able to fathom a world without him. It's why she's on her deathbed begging to see her kids; they're her main driving force in the world, especially after her relationship with Rhaenyra became unsalvageable. I cannot see her deciding, unilaterally, to kill him, she couldn't even bear the idea of him taking the black and going to the Wall when that was brought up as an option.

But I can definitely buy the idea that Aegon poisoned himself. Aegon knew, by the time Cregan was marching on King's Landing, that it was over, and that he wasn't getting out of this unscathed. It's why, again, he seized on the idea of going to the Wall, before Alicent pointed out that it wasn't going to happen, especially if Aegon III decided to be a dick about it because of what he was forced to watch at the Fall of Dragonstone (my little baby, someone get him Westerosi therapy). And, like Alicent, he'd suffered a lot during the Dance, but unlike Alicent, he likely suffered more, and could make an argument to blame himself for all of it. His brothers died, his sister-wife died, his sons died, his dragon died, and it all happened because of him. Aemond and Daeron and Criston died fighting for him and to defend his claim, Helaena and Jahaerys and Maegor died because he failed to protect him, even his beloved Sunfyre died of wounds fought in battles he rode him to, and this is all in addition to what had to be constant physical pain due to his many debilitating injuries. One could argue that, like Alicent, Aegon might want to keep going out of love of what remains, like his love for his mother and love of his daughter. But, even disregarding the fact that Aegon knew he was 99% certain to die no matter what: for one, his relationship with Alicent is complicated and only recently got solidified (the Dance lasts about two years from his coronation, which is where he's gonna be getting proof that Alicent loves him no matter what) and for two, Jahaera wouldn't be enough. I'm sure Aegon loves his kids, but we've also seen that he's someone who dearly desires that love to be reciprocated. It's why so much of the way he treats the world and self medicates is borne of pain, because he thinks his love for certain people is not returned (along with a whole other host of issues that goes along with like feelings of unworthiness and etc). And Jahaera, as we're told in F&B, is not capable of returning that love. We don't know a lot about Jahaera, but she appears to be coded as somewhat developmentally disabled (I can't tell you specifics because it's vague and that's also not a subject I feel qualified to make any kind of armchair diagnoses in), and part of that is that she doesn't show emotions and is somewhat "simple minded", and there's no reason to expect that this a) wouldn't have been exacerbated to the extreme following having to witness Jahaerys's murder and experiencing the threats of death and sexual violence levied against her at the time and b) wouldn't also extend to her relationship with Aegon. Aegon can love his daughter, but if she's incapable of either showing love back or even loving him back entirely, then, considering the kind of person he is, it wouldn't be enough to stop him from killing himself.

Combining all of these different factors, the emotion toll of the Dance, his physical pain, the lack of motivation not to die, and the knowledge that he wasn't making it out of this alive, it makes sense that Aegon would decide to die on his own terms. This is a man who refuses to drink milk of the poppy even when in excruciating pain, this is a man who stubbornly refuses to die and was able to drag himself to Dragonstone and to Sunfyre, this is a man who fought until he literally couldn't fight anymore. It is entirely plausible that Aegon, knowing that death was the only option anyway, would decide to choose his own death in his own way, especially if it could be painless rather than subjecting himself to Cregan Stark's mercy. I do, however, think Alicent knew. I can see Aegon telling her that this was what he was planning, if only to give her forewarning and some peace of mind, and I can see him asking her to help (whether it be by putting it in his food or procuring it or something). And I do think that would be a marvelous way for it to go, for Alicent to help her son out of the world at the end of the story that started when she brought him into it, and at least give them a final, quiet, loving goodbye for each other, the kind everyone else was denied all throughout the war.

We'll see what the show does and how this evolves, because this'll likely be series finale material, but tl;dr: I can't find any reason why Alicent would poison Aegon, but ample reasons why he'd poison himself, and I think it'd be a good sendoff for his character if Alicent was there to at least help him in his final plan.

Dan’s lips curled into an unpleasant snarl, pointed fangs suddenly more prominent.

“Oh, really, Danny. Did you think this was going to work? Some stupid illusion and I’d fall to my knees, sobbing for reconcilliation? Or did you bring me the real thing so you could watch me kill her in front of you this time? It might not stick but I’m sure I can try.”

Part of Danny nearly lunged forward, Obsession throbbing down to his core… but he held it in check. After all, this wasn’t the Jazz Dan had known; she wasn’t just a teenager anymore.

And she certainly wasn’t impressed.

“Daniel James Fenton, you know better than to talk about someone when they’re standing right in front of you,” she snapped, her hip cocked out and arms folded in an entirely done big-sister posture that only got scarier with age. “If you have something to say, say it to my face.”

And Dan… froze, for a moment. And Danny knew he’d been right in that second, that microsecond of hesitation. Of inactivity.

Sure, Jazz might be well past six feet tall herself now, but she looked like their mom enough to make his Vlad severely uncomfortable. More than that though… Danny had never gotten over the thought of her dying. Dan had broken the world about it.

And he couldn’t bring himself to look her in the eye.

It was covered up a moment later, in bluff and bluster as he scoffed and glared in her general direction.

“What, are you going to psychoanalyze me? Tell me how sad and tragic I am too? Give me a break, I’ve got some lovely coping mechanisms,” he snapped, aura flaring in a burst of green fire.

But Jazz had never been scared of Danny’s aura, and frankly? He was the Ghost King. Dan’s was a drip in the bucket by comparison.

She marched straight up to him, ignoring the flames completely, and grabbed him by the chin. Forced him to face her, even as his eyes widened, face freezing.

Danny had never heard her voice so cold.

“Is that supposed to be scary? Am I supposed to be impressed, Danny? Honestly, I’d like to say that must be the Fruit Loop’s influence, but you’ve always been a drama queen.”

And then she twisted him into a headlock, all 6’9 mountain of muscle like he was still a ninety-pound twink, and noogied him.

“You’re such a fucking dork, Danny.” She sounded almost fond now, exasperated, a tone Danny was painfully familiar with. Even knowing she wasn’t talking to him-him, the cringe was automatic.

Dan sure as hell had no idea what to do about it, panic flaring madly across his face and his aura, trailed by a lacklustre attempt at anger.

“Get your hands off me,” he roared, turning intangible and going to jerk himself away… and then Jazz’s eyes flashed teal and she reached after him, her own hand changing to pull him straight back into the noogie.

Something about that broke Dan completely, his entire body suddenly limp and held up only by Jazz’s continued grip on his head. He seemed almost catatonic, completely zoned out… which Jazz completely ignored, grinding her knuckles into the top of his head.

Danny was pretty sure he knew why though; it was the one thing which had always been able to calm him down, back when he was approaching his twenties and the possibility of Dan started giving him panic attacks. Jazz had snapped him out of it in a much gentler way, but it amounted to the same reminder.

Jazz was his big sister. His beloved mentor, his voice of reason, his rock. And after living in Amity Park for almost twenty years, directly on top of the Fenton Portal, she was liminal as hell and about one near-death experience from a halfa herself.

There was just no way he was ever going to lose her, until she decided she was good and ready to move on. It wasn’t possible, and a little thing like dying wasn’t going to slow Jasmine Fenton down.

If it happened before she graduated, Danny was pretty sure she’d rise before Finals Week even if she died the night before.

(And given her self-care habits, he did occasionally worry about it actually happening… but she promised her ghost-envy days were long behind her and she’d never get that bad.

Belief: pending.)

Danny wasn’t actually fully sure if her ghost-grabbing abilities extended to anyone else or if she could just always wrangle him, but he and Dan were the same person; enough so that it sure as hell worked on him.

Dan wasn’t going down without a fight though - Danny was almost a little impressed with how quickly he fought past the blue screen (it might have been Vlad’s influence, given the sudden haughty tone) as he began to shove at her arms, quickly working up to a shout.

“Get your hands off me! Do you have any idea who I am! I am the great destroyer, breaker of worlds, and you will not treat me like a small child!” He bellowed, struggling viciously against her grip.

If they were in the real world, it’d probably have worked. If he had access to any of his ghost powers, it wasn’t a fight Jazz could possibly have won.

But this was a dream, and either Nocturn had a damn good idea what’d happen to him if anything happened to Danny’s big sister in his realm… or he just plain liked Jazz better.

(Most people did. Danny was fine with it.)

Because the more Dan struggled, the more Jazz began slowly increasing in size, getting bigger and bigger until she entirely dwarfed him and had him cuddled like a doll under her arm. Watching him struggle at this point was just a little embarrassing, actually, and Jazz finally took pity on him.

And settled him on her hip like an unruly toddler, grinning down at him.

“Now, do you think you’re ready to actually talk to me?” She asked him gently - and if she found the sight of this full sized man so relatively tiny as funny as Danny did, it didn’t even show.

Dan glowered up at her.

“You may be favoured by the fool who runs this domain, but you will never be my equal in anything but dreams,” his snarled viciously, his anger apparently stoked by indignation.

(Danny made a note. Still definitely some Vlad tendencies.)

Jazz just chuckled softly, bumping him up to give him a kiss on the forehead.

“Oh, baby brother, you know that’s never going to be how it works,” she said brightly, then paused, glancing around. “Uh… Danny, we never talk about this again, alright?” She asked, squinting down at him.

Mildly offended that he was about the height of her ankles, Danny raised both hands in immediate surrender.

“Dude, I am not letting anyone try and get freudian on me for Jumbo-Jazz. My lips are sealed from self preservation alone.” And he’d have to make sure to emphasize to Nocturn just how valuable his own silence would be. Vital to survival, even.

Apparently satisfied, Jazz nodded, sitting carefully cross legged and settling Dan in her lap, her chin on top of his head.

“So… you told me about your future once, y’know?” She said slowly, while Dan struggled and once more surrendered to the indignity. “And Danny told me some more later. And, obviously, we all actually know that taking over and destroying the entire world isn’t actually a healthy way to process grief…”

“Fucking spare me,” Dan growled, looking about a minute away from taking a bite out of her hand.

Jazz ignored him.

“But… in spite of all of that…” she paused for a moment, leaning back and smiling down at Dan, who couldn’t quite help craning back to look at her… if only to know where the next attack was coming from. “It’s… really sweet to know that you’d break the world for me, Danny. I just really wish it hadn’t broken you, too.”

And once again, Dan froze… and for the first time, Danny could feel a crack in the impenetrable wall around his core. Between all of the performative rage and theatrics and what he really, truly felt.

Even his rally only managed to produce a vaguely sulky “I’m not broken!”

Jazz sighed softly and turned him gently in her arms, lifting him to hug tightly to her chest. She might have been shrinking now, either by Nocturn’s will or her own, but she held him close anyway.

I think I’m coming down with a cold again and possibly have a fever but I’m here to scream about the update some more anyway! (and analyze a bit but mostly scream). Dawn part 7 here we go!

First off I have to say this was my favorite panel I think, it’s so pretty. The faint glow! The colors! The cape over his shoulder! Amazing. This truly was Sky’s update, I loved every bit of focus he got. Jojo fed us well :D

So it looks like I was wrong about Sky reading everyone’s mail. He just immediately took off after the mailman instead (and spent all morning chasing him ha!),

Side note but I love the npc guy. He’s simple but still Zelda-y. the character design in this comic is just👌

Looks like the mailman has a list of who he’s supposed to deliver to, or at least that’s my guess. It could be a map maybe, but that probably wouldn’t do much good since he’s time traveling?? How does he do it. Don’t question the magic of the postman I guess.

...except for Four. Because I think him and Warriors both realize that Sky isn’t just telling them what he was doing all morning— he’s got something important to say, something they all actually need to know.

Also I agree with everyone saying Warriors is close to snapping— they’ve all had a pretty stressful 24 hours, but Warriors has been breaking up arguments and repeatedly checking on everyone while they’re struggling, and... I don’t think he’s had a break. Take a nap bud, please?

SKY TALKING TO FI MY BELOVED he's hoping there’s enough of her aware to help him dowse hhhhh. And then he’s so sad she didn’t seem to hear him waahhh ����

It doesn’t look to me like she truly helped much, but maybe Fi gave just enough of a nudge for Sky to find the postman’s footprints? Even in her sleep? She is glowing just a bit there... Interesting to think about.

It’s confirmed that the postman uses the portals! And that the Shadow is alive and kicking! Uh-oh! (Also does anyone else think this one seems more... firey? Then the last one? Maybe it's just me).

And the chopped-off darknut head is still there too.... and I’ll bet you twenty rupees somebody is going to kick it when the Links go through the portal later. (My guess is Wild but I’d put my money on Legend or Wind too).

I’m also really curious where that portal leads... My guess is either Twilight’s Hyrule or Sky’s, based on what hints we’ve been getting, but I really don’t know. It’ll be fun to see!

(And I mentioned this in another post, but Legend looks so alarmed at this information, as does Wild... it’s not going to be pretty when they cross paths with the Shadow again, that’s for sure)

I love when Time breaks out the dramatic language... makes me remember that this guy is going to be the Hero’s Shade someday (who’s speech is 99% dramatic things).

Now the Links just have to decide what to do next... will they stay another day at the inn for Twilight’s sake, or get moving right away? Is Four going to confront Twilight about the dark magic he uses to turn into Wolfie?

So many questions... but in the meantime I will gladly continue to reread this amazing update, I really loved this one :D

Here are my personal opinions about the TGCF donghua S2 character designs!! (I don't have anything else to do with my life)

So, I've seen a lot of people hate on the new designs, especially on Qi Rong and Goushi Fang Xin's. I mean, they surprised me too, but I wouldn't necessarily say they are bad.

For Fang Xin (Xie Lian), his design and colors and stunning, it's just the mask that looked pretty weird to me, but I like how it's butterfly shaped. He's not too recognizable, so it'll do it.

For Qi Rong, yes, the colorful stripes, the purple lipstick, the little accesories, the neon green eyeliner are all absolutely needed and in character. Like, let's think about it, Qi Rong is probably one of the most chaotic and weird MXTX characters we could've met. The manhua version is a masterpiece, but the donghua is really...him. He would always comment on anybody and we also know that he is a born royalty, yet nobody said he's fancy or elegant. I'm pretty sure he'd have a terrible taste in outfits. While Xie Lian is elegant, simple and pretty restrained when it comes to outfits, our guy Qi Rong would have messy, greasy hair, unmatched clothes and jewellery, and absolutely zero sense in styling. He's technically an unintentionally funny, weird and stupid witch sitting in his own little cave with his "cheap son".

Now, let's take a look at Hua Cheng and Shi Qingxuan. Wake up, they are majestic!!

I adored Hua Cheng in his San Lang form. Our little guy looked absolutely adorable yet still like a grumpy teenage boy in love. His original form was also shown at the very end of S1, but honestly, his new design looks so much better. His hair got fluffier, and his features prettier. Also, I love how the edge of his eyepatch became more thin, it simply look cooler now!

Shu Qingxuan, my beloved, I literally love the whole design. I'm pretty sad the female version didn't get her pretty blue eyes, but she still looks as adorable as always. And the male version, it's perfect. He looks elegant, yet kind and adorable, like a true king/queen. Such a bestie material!!

Talking about Shi Qingxuan, Ming Yi is also just so so pretty. Altough I love the "dark 'n edgy Earth Master" vibe he gives off in the manhua, the dunghua version is (imo) better, we are talking about a god's apperance, after all. He's colorful, yet not too vibrant, which is pretty nice, most of the gods we can see there tend to dress colorfully in their own ways (it also makes it more visible that these people all come from different places, having their own traditional stuff).

And for Lan Qianqiu, he instantly became a Fengqing's kid in my eyes. For sure, this is not how I imagined him, I've got used to the dark hair and red accesories, but he looks really good, they did a great job with his design. No matter what, he'll always be a grumpy orange cat!

Syntax ♤ New Me

Baked some floofy comfort for y'all! :D

Still sad about Syntax not getting any screentime regarding his past before getting turned, so my brain went like "...This has slight angst potential".

♤ ~ Comfort ~ ♤

His green eyes looked into the bathroom's mirror, gazing upon his newfound looks in the darkness. From his green and purple colors to the fact that he no longer needed glasses made him feel very much uncertain if you still liked him. It wasn't a small change one could easily miss or brush off, after all. Syntax had four spider legs coming out of his back now, for crying out loud! How could you not notice?!

He sighed as he ran his hand through his now green hair, closing his eyes while contemplating his next step. The techy science nerd was still in love with you despite the venom in his veins, making him loyal to his queen above basically all else.

How is he supposed to tell you without you freaking out and leaving him? That was probably his greatest fear in that moment. A future without you by his side. That one flaw in his transformation he could never be able to look past.

Good thing you were still at work, so you couldn't see him tearing up in your shared home.

'I suppose I could always fully live in the Underground with the other spider demons if they reject my new form...', he thought, his frown turning into a bittersweet smile.

'...But then I wouldn't be able to see them anymore...'

Suddenly, he heard the sounds of keys clashing with one another by the front door...

His eyes widened at the familiar sound. 'They weren't supposed to be back yet! I can't hide in time!' He panicked as he slammed the bathroom door, closing it just as he heard the front door shut in a more gentle manner.

"Syn? Love? Is that you?", your concerned voice rang through the halls, all the way past the bathroom door. You were hoping it was him and not a burglar.

He took a deep breath as he leaned his back against the door as best as he could with his spider limbs, "I- Y-Yeah, just... not feeling all too well."

Your gut feeling told you he was lying... Well, partially. You were slightly more concerned now as your husband wasn't one to feel sick and take a break over it. Forcing him away from his projects was the only way you were ever able to even sleep most days! So him being in the bathroom on his own accord was strange, to say the least. Questioning his sickness, you decided to walk up to the bathroom and gave a light knock.

"May I come in?" Syntax swore his heart stopped from the sudden panic spike those simple words brought him. Tears slowly started to gather back up in his eyes as he scowled towards the ground.

"...I just- I don't think you want to see me", he said. You were even more confused now as you said nothing, waiting for him to continue. "Even if you do right now, I doubt you'd want to stay after seeing me... After witnessing what I've become..."

The faint sniffing you heard past the door was all you needed as motivation for your protective side to take over. "Love, please let me in. I don't know what you're talking about, but I can promise you I will never abandon you over your looks", you told him as you leaned in with your hands against the door. He could hear your gentle smile as you spoke the part after. "After all, I didn't marry my beloved tech nerd for his looks. His looks were a nice bonus... But what I fell for was his witty personality, his knowledge over things I barely have knowledge of, how he cared for me..."

You placed your forehead on the door now too as you heard what you could only describe as metal lightly clanking against the door's wood.

"You mean so much to me you don't even know..."

That.

That sentence was all it took to break the spider demon and turn him into a sobbing mess. He opened the door just enough so you could see one half of his face within the darkness of the bathroom. The only light inside came from a little nightlight you once insisted on adding so you had an easier time navigating to the bathroom during nighttime.

You were surprised by his new looks and Syntax took your facial expression as a bad sign. However, instead of leaving him as he feared, you put a foot between the door and its frame.

"May I come in now?"

Your husband finally fully opened the door, despite being reluctant about it, and you were finally able to have a good look at him. And honestly, you would be lying if you said you didn't find him even more attractive now.

The only thing that kind of freaked you out were the newfound mechanical spider limbs coming out of his back. You carefully approached him as he took one step back out of instinct. But that didn't stop you as you took one of his hands into your own, gazing at its purple shade in wonder before using your other hand to lightly play around with its skin. This simple action seemed to calm him enough as he rubbed his eyes with his other hand to get rid of some tears that were threatening to fall.

"...I'm not scared of you, and I certainly am not less in love with you, Syntax. That being said, I am curious", you started before your eyes trailed up from his hand to his eyes. "What happened to you?"

He sighed as he took you in for a hug, inhaling your scent to calm himself further, to ensure himself that you were still with him and haven't left. You two simply held each other as you whispered more comforting words to him. A few minutes of just holding each other, and you looking at the spider legs coming from his back with interest, you decided to ask him if he was finally ready to speak, and he agreed.

You two ended up cuddling on your bed as he told you about what happened: The Spider Queen, her lackeys, the venom incident, him being part of the reason why half of the city's population became zombie-like, his newfound loyalty to his queen... He had to ensure you that he would never pick her above you however... While he isn't sure how far his loyalty for her would go now as his spider instincts tell him to follow his queen's every command, he would hate himself forever if he did end up leaving you.

It was a bit difficult for you to adjust to this new life of having a spider demon as lover in general. He would be gone for most of the time since he would regularly sleep in Spider Queen's Lair, and only ever come back home in the dead of night when you were already asleep. And unless it was the weekend, you were unable to stay awake due to you having work at the office the next morning. So nowadays it was hard for you to even see him, which was upsetting because you just missed his presence.

One day however, Syntax came to visit you at work while disguised in a cloak. He didn't exactly try to have a conversation with you as he wanted to avoid distracting you from your job. But not only did he leave you a lunchbox, but he also gave you a quick kiss. Once he was gone, you looked into the lunchbox and saw your favorite snacks(, that he probably either bought or stole right before visiting), as well as a little sticky note that simply read 'I love you ♡'.

You couldn't help but let out a small laugh at how cute he was being. He was never the romantic type and would shy away from the simple idea of showing you public affection, so this came as a nice surprise. It was as if Syntax truly did change a bit in personality and became a bit bolder with his transformation.

Your husband was also there when you came home this time. He kept on using his charm the whole evening until you asked him why he was being so affectionate with you all of a sudden. And his response was that he was repaying you.

"Repay me for what? For loving my husband?" You asked jokingly.

"Well, of course! I hate being apart from you for longer periods of time", he responded happily with his nowadays signature shark-toothed smile. "Which is why I wanted to ask you if you'd be interested in moving into the Spider Queen's Lair with me. It would technically be closer to your workplace as well as my own. We could even have a lit tunnel that leads directly to your workplace!" Your mouth shaped an 'o' at the idea. You could be closer to work as well as see the love of your life more often? You saw this as an absolute win! Although...

"...Is this alright with your co-workers? What if the other spider demons won't like me? What if they want to eat me?!" Your brain started panicking as you imagined different bad scenarios that could happen. But then it halted on one scenario that you could not look past. more Fnaf Rewrite Modern Era stuff!! yippee!!

just about everyone of the original gang who's still alive is in therapy (so like Mike, Jeremy, Andrew, Sammy, and Evan, for example). understandable.

when no one really showed up to Cassie's seventh birthday party (save for a few people in their class who thought she was cool), Gregory got a bit petty and threatened to not invite anyone to his own party, purely just to spite everyone. quite literally the only reason he didn't go through with it was because Cassie told him not to and that it was fine. he did make it clear that he was still upset about it when a lot of people showed up to his own party, mostly by saying something to the effect of "Oh, so you've got time for my super awesome sixth birthday party on a Tuesday, but apparently coming to Cassie's super awesome seventh birthday party on a Saturday was too much for you 😒 I see how it is. Uh huh."

Book List Time!!!

And with that I have 10 give or take books to discuss. Now I’m up to over 30 books since May woooo telling tumblr about each one has been a great motivator so I hope my reviews and list help people out in a non spoiler fun way. Gonna rank these in order I want to reread them.

1. Green Creek the series by TJ Klune 🏳️‍🌈🐺🌶️🌲 Wolfsong Ravensong Heartsong Brothersong I am obsessed. Literally read all four books in 3 days. I have bought physical copies and marked them up. Will make you cry, laugh, and stay in your heart forever. Just……. Go read it. But the quick synopsis is Powerful Humans Wolves Witches have to pay for the sins of their fathers over and over again while maintaining their found family and finding their true soulmates. There is Ace Lesbian non binary rep in here as well.

2. The Warden by Daniel Ford🏳️‍🌈 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩🧙‍♀️❄️🪦truly a fantasy masterpiece the romance isn’t the focus but it’s fucking good. First sapphic book to get a 10/10 for me. About a witch(with a magic system that is interesting surprising) growing up and finding herself a family without sacrificing who she is. I loved her and at first you think ehhh is this going to be boring no definitely not. Was surprising made me laugh and cry. Can’t wait for part 2 cause more of the hot gf in there I hope.

3. A Taste of Gold and Iron by Alexandra Rowland🏳️‍🌈👑⚔️🌶️🌶️ I listened to this book two times in a row I enjoyed it so much. It’s a bodyguard and prince story. The prince’s depiction of depression anxiety panic attacks was so real. The bodyguard is very endearing. The themes of family are strong and interesting. The mystery was easy to solve but I found it rewarding because I wanted the prince to win so badly haha.

4. Spindle Splintered by Alix E Harrow🏳️‍🌈👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👸🏼🥀����

Short story about a dying girl who has a special interest in sleeping beauty. It does have a…. Debatably Sad ending. I did enjoy it for what it was trying to talk about. I lost a friend when she was too young. I’m glad I read it.

5. Scumbag Villains Self-Saving System series by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu 🏳️‍🌈🚩⚔️😈🕊️🤓🌶️? I’m putting it up this high because besides that scene in chapter 21 that slapped me in the brain I really enjoyed the series. Only Danmei I HAD TO GET THE REST OF THE SERIES IMMEDIATELY Hell I’ve even now written fan fic for the side ship. About a Nerd being put into his favorite love to hate stallion novel (story about a hero who fucks his way to success) but he’s in there as the abusive villain who the hero is destined to kill. The nerd has to save himself and unintentionally builds himself a harem featuring the most red flag the hero who so sololy motivated by the nerd. It’s great easy to read very fun. But 🌶️ scene in book 3 is a definite skip and delete from memory.

6. Case File Compendium Vol 1 by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou 🏳️‍🌈? 😈🚩🩸🕵️🥼

I did just finish reading this so maybe I’m bias but I really did find it a book I couldn’t put down. I even brought it with me to work to read a chapter during my lunch breaks. Main characters are heavy in their homophobic lifestyles but they kiss and protect each other? True crime and mentally ill characters. MC is has a fatal mental illness that makes him unstable and MIL was his former private doctor. MC is trying to date MIL’s little sister. While getting up to shenanigans they stumble into a corrupt hospital and evil forces are maybe after them?! Idk its exciting fun to read but only if you like 🚩’s

7. The Disabled Tyrant’s Beloved Pet Fish Vol 1 by Xue Shan Fei Hu 🏳️‍🌈🐟👑🎨🖼️ I did genuinely laugh my ass off during reading this book. It was incredibly easy to read I think I finished it in 4 hours. Very cute. I love the inside and outside art. About a nonverbal Prince who has anger issues and his crush on the modern man who is trapped within an ugly little fish. Now yes the Prince is becomes actively in love with the fish. Lucky for us we are stuck in the man who is trapped as the fish’s pov and he is genuinely just trying to get back to his world by obeying the powers that be System’s prompts to go home. Fish is not trying to seduce the Prince or anything. It’s just funny I had a great time with vol 1 probably will read vol 2.

8. So Let Them Burn by Kamilah Cole 🏳️‍🌈👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨🐉🏝️ while having dragons and diverse cast it ultimately falls short of expectations wishing for more depth and clarity. The asexual spectrum representation feels muddled and Jamaican inspired cultural elements are unexplored which is at odds with its rich backdrop that could have enhanced the story. The story’s mystery element lacked cohesion resulting in a frustrating bittersweet ending that suggests a sequel and left me unsatisfied. I won’t read the next book. Won’t suggest it.

9. Faithless Book2 by C L Clark 🏳️‍🌈🚩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩⚔️👑😩 a big let down from book 1 but I’m locked in for life I guess. Luca is back in France navigating a way to get the crown. While Touraine shows up with a priest and Teen to some how get food for her people. Most of the plot feels useless both MC characters are stupid and do no growing. The new teen character was interesting. I disliked the poly romance I didn’t particularly feel comfortable about Touraine and Luca why not add another person in what could go wrong? Luca’s reign as Queen looks to be very bad and you will feel extremely disappointed at the end. I’m going to read the next book but only because I like the characters who didn’t go to France.

10. Self-Made Boys by Anna-Marie McLemore.

I read 90% of this book and I regret it. It’s a trans characters as the leads gay retelling of the great gatsby. I was truly excited to read it I’ve read The Great Gatsby many times. However this book just laughs at the source material. I’m tempted to say maybe the Chat GPT’d the plot and didn’t ask for any over arching themes in the book. I couldn’t do it I’m gonna have to find a better trans representation book in my next set of ten.

ok truth be told I'm not that big of a jaceluke fan (jacegon and lucemond my beloveds) BUT I am here for the drama so I must ask; in FMN luke, as far as he knows, mostly felt attracted to aemond because he thought he looked hot and aemond just counted is blessings and ran w it. So how would their dynamics have turned out if luke had his lil lust at first sight towards jace instead??

like he sees aemond and thinks "meh my lawyer's son is kinda mid" buts meets jace and goes "DAMN. Stepbrother?!? More like plz step on me." [in the background: the twins cackling as the hightower boys fall to their knees]

Give me a second to kiss your amazing brain anon. I’ve never for a second thought of things going this way and I’m absolutely living for it.

Though as the reader we know part of Luke’s attraction towards Aemond is because of their past, on the surface the only reason he’s going for Aemond is because he has that hot douche bag thing going on. Had he seen seen a picture of Jace first with those curls, dark green eyes and pouty lips? Yea, he would’ve been all over that without a doubt. Aemond’s fr lucky that Alicent decided to show Luke that pic of him holding Nugget when she did.

In this AU things are 10x more chaotic because not only is it obvious Luke is trying to fuck Jace, but more of the family are aware of this little tryst because they’re paying more attention to they way these long lost brothers are acting with one another and Luke isn’t acting very brotherly (at least in the non-Targaryen way.)

Jace is shocked at first, but once the initial surprise wears off he finds himself happily reciprocating. As i’ve said before Jace’s love for Luke exceeds all bounds and he’d be anything to him including a lover. However he refuses to even think about going down the more sexual side of things because even though this Luke wants to jump his bones, he would never want the Luke he remembers to feel as though he’d been taken advantage of.

Its also easier for Jace to stop himself from going too far (unlike Aemond) because he and Luke don’t have the tension Lucemond does. Though he thinks his brother is beautiful, its Aemond who’s been dealing with a two thousand year long burning passion.

Joffrey reaction to Jaceluke is basically ‘as long as y’all don’t make out in front of me, idc.’ It actually makes him feel more secure in Luke’s presence. As though Luke being with Jace means he’ll never wanna leave them.

Rhaenyra and Harwin are more surprised than upset but overall accepting. Though its so alien to see them being full-on romantic with each other. Daemon on the other hand is just smirking because he knows Aemond is sick to his stomach and burning in envy. Seeing the guy suffer as Luke sits on Jace’s lap is 10x more satisfying than sticking his sword through his eye.

While Jaceluke is doing their thing it’s safe to say both Aegon and Aemond are shaking, crying and throwing up. I’m talking in distress 24/7 and thinking about ending it all. It’s so bad they end up flocking to reddit in hopes of finding advice on how to break a couple up but only get laughed out of every subreddit and called delusional weirdo’s before deleting their accounts because the cyber bullying got too bad.

Aemond almost jumps out of Alicent’s car straight into the busy intersection when she comments about how cute the two boys look together.

Aegon tries to convince Aemond that they should call the cops because fucking your foster brother is against so many system rules but then Aemond has to literally slap him because that would mean Luke getting taken away.

They’re just two sad bro’s trying to figure out how to ruin Jaceluke.

Personal Impression: My Journey To You.

I purposely use the picture above since it's my most favorite scene. When all the member of Gong family united (look how cool Shangjue and Yuanzhi!! (^^)).

Usually, I would avoid spy genre. The last spy genre I've watched was "The Rebel" (Zhu Yilong) and it was quite a trauma for me. (XD)

Yet, I don't know why I started to watched "My Journey To You". Maybe because the trailer looks interesting? But, I was "trick" by the trailer. I thought it would be a very serious and intense series. I didn't expected there would also be a comedy (which I enjoy it so much). I really like it when after a good intense scene, it swiftly change into a comedic one. The feelings are like riding a roller coaster. (XD)

THE STORY.

In the early episodes, the story was quite slow pace for me. But, it was quite fun to watch the two female spies interacting with each other. Their talk was like a 101 guide of how to be a good spies (XD).

Then I kept on guessing who was (or were) also the spies inside the Gong family. Then the mystery about the killing and also the main purpose for each spies were also interesting to follow. Although by the end of the story, I was left with the question, "What was their main purpose again?" (XD)

To be honest, I was kinda confused with the timeline of the story. Since some of the important parts were explained in the past time.

The Gong family is also a "troublesome" family. (XD)

They are the last family that still able to stand against Wufeng (thanks fo Shangjue, I guess), the evil organization (XD), but they did it by living in seclusion. No family member are allowed to leave the residence and very strict for outsider to enter. Although it was a surprised that 3 Wufeng spies could enter the residence, even live as one of the family member. (XD)

The old man aka the fathers were also troublesome, like Ziyu's father, Zishang's father, and young master Hua's father. The fathers are very strict with their sons, condemn them once in a while, but the truth is they actually care and deeply love their sons. And they admit it when they were dead or dying. That's annoying and also hilarious. (XD)

Except for Zishang's father who still doesn't acknowledge her abilities as the older daughter.

THE CHARACTERS.

Although I was obviously doting for Gong Ziyu, but I must say that my favorite character are the other 4 characters (not in order): Gong Zishang (the eldest sister), Jin Fan (Gong Ziyu's personal bodyguard), Gong Shangjue, and his beloved brother, Gong Yuanzhi.

Gong Zishang is a very hilarious and comedic character. Her presence, her expressions, her words, her doing, her love for Jin Fan, were all very entertaining. She has a sad background because of her father distrust (which I think it didn't resolved in the story?) I'm happy that Jiejie still could find happiness with Jin Fan and Ziyu. I know I will had a great laugh whenever she shows up in the story. I love you, Jiejie!

Jin Fan, the red jade guardian who degrade his position to be the green jade guardian in order to be Ziyu's personal bodyguard (by the order of Ziyu's father). He's obviously a loyal bodyguard for Ziyu. But, he's also secretly kept his love for Zishang. Even though he's so powerful as a guardian, but every time he was with Ziyu and Zishang, the three of them would be hilarious together. (XD)

It's super fun to see Zishang and Jin Fang together. They are my favorite couple! I'm so glad the make it together till the end of the story.

Gong Shangjue. I don't quite understand the order of the brothers, but Shangjue is Ziyu's brother (or cousins?) A very strong, smart, scary, and tactical. He's a one tough man. No wonder he must be taken down first since he's way more dangerous as an opponent than Ziyu. (XD)

I do admire Shangjue's "love" for the family. He only think about the family, that he even willing to be seen as a bad character in order to protect the family.

I really like his answer to Yuanzhi when Ziyu was getting through the trial to be a worthy Sword Wielder. "If he's not capable, we don't have to worry. But, if he's really capable, then we don't have to worry either." That prove Shangjue only care for the family sake, and not the competition between him and Ziyu to become the Sword Wielder.

Shangjue's feature is always tense, serious, and scary, just like his brother, Yuanzhi. Yet, somehow, he manage to show his sweet and pure smile to Yuanzhi. But, when he smiles sweetly to Ziyu (at the final episode), it feels so weird. (XD)

I remember at their final scene, Shangjue reminds Ziyu that since he's now the Sword Wielder, he shouldn't called Shangjue by "Ge" (brother), like always done by someone. Shangjue meant Yuanzhi. My mind quickly translate it as Shangjue doesn't want anyone else to call him by "Ge", except for Yuanzhi only. I cheered! Yuanzhi did it! He has won his brother's heart a long time ago.

Gong Yuanzhi. The little brother, the genius with poisons, the Shangjue's brother's complex. A very capable young man. While Shangjue only thinking about the family, Yuanzhi will only thinking about his brother (Shangjue). He would do everything for Shangjue's sake. He kind of made me upset when he intentionally steps on the lotus flower. And when he smirk or smile in devilish way, I swear ... he made me terrified!!! (TOT)

I do adore Shangjue and Yuanzhi brotherhood. Truly the best! They are strong on their own and super deadly together. I'd like to see more of their story.

Gong Ziyu. Surely the male lead. I think he's not as strong as Shangjue. Ziyu also admits it. But, Ziyu is indeed strong in his own way. He acknowledge people, even Shangjue and Yuanzhi (whom he called as genius in poison). He doesn't want to be beaten by Shangjue. He also acknowledge everyone else in the family, like his goofy sister (Zishang), the young master Hua (by acknowledge his sword), and the young master Xue (by carefreely chatting with him). Ziyu's kindness has earned him the love, the trust, and the support, especially from the family younger generations. The Gong family would change to be better under Ziyu's command. Ziyu isn't as strict as the older generations. Maybe that's why the younger generations are doting for him (except for Shangjue and Yuanzhi (XD)).

Coming near to the ending episode, Shangjue revealed that the one who comes out with the tactic to set a trap for Wufeng was indeed Ziyu. He maybe not as smart as Shangjue, or even as strong, but in the end, Ziyu managed to prove himself (even to Shangjue) that he was able to protect his family (although his main reason was probably to protect Weishan (XD)).

Oh, I also won't forget his blind and deep love for Yun Weishan. (XD)

When everyone were confronting Weishan as Wufeng's spy and wanted to beheaded her, Ziyu only asked, "Are you really leaving?" That's all what's on his head. (XD)

THE ENDING.

I have prepared myself for the worst ... for people to die ... it's a spy genre after all. But, I was happy that all of my favorite characters are alive. (XD)

Jin Fan survived and he's very clingy to Zishang after he finally confess his love for her. Good for you, Jiejie!!! (TOT)

Shangjue and Yuanzhi are also alive. Thank God! (XD)

I thought one of the brothers would die. I can't imagine how devastated Shangjue would be if he lost Yuanzhi after he lost his young brother in the past, and add with Shangguan Qian runs away. I also can't imagine how Yuanzhi would be if Shangjue dies.

But, as for Ziyu, I think his ending was unnecessary ... just make him live happily with Weishan!

I can't understand, with Weishan status as the wife of the Sword Wielder, as Ziyu also deeply love her, how could he let Weishan go by herself to her home to found her twin sister and then meet with other Wufeng member? And the way Ziyu's look was shocked when the gate to the Gong residence was open ... I thought that Weishan had died and the one who come back was her twin sister who disguising as Weishan and also act as a new Wufeng's spy. It's so unnecessary hints. (XD)

But, at the fan event, Zhang Linghe said that what Ziyu saw was two Weishan. That means they both survived and live together at the Gong residence. Good for them! I don't understand why the end have to be secretive?? Is it that hard just to make it directly a happy ending?

I was also feel strange with the "sudden plot" that Weishan has a twin sister, so that's the reason why Shangjue couldn't find any prove that she's an imposter. Actually, it would be great if she's indeed an imposter and it was Wufeng doing for making the town people acknowledge her as the true Yun's daughter.

But, then again, Yun Weishan is indeed her name from the very beginning. She doesn't took it from the real one, so ... it's not a suddenly plot after all.

THE OST.

I truly love all the soundtrack. It's so perfect for lullabies. (XD)

One memorable scene using the song was when all the dead member of Gong family appeared in spirit form to congratulate and assured Ziyu that he has succeed in protecting the family. Among them was young master Hua and young master Xue, which I regret so much for their death. (T^T)

It was a honey moon atmosphere in those first few months. He was loving, caring, sweet, a total darling. Ginny didn't know what she was missing, you thought, as he brought you the fourth bouquet of that week, with a loving card written by him. It was like a dream, everyone at work was jealous... you had bagged The Boy Who Lived, the Chief Auror! You didn't care what the others said, though, he was just Harry to you, the sweetest man ever, the one who loved you and the one you loved.

Yet, slowly, as the days went by you started to see little things. At first you brushed them off as being trauma related. He had lost his family and had gone through so much since he was a baby after all... It wasn't weird that someone who had been in a war and died and came back had little quirks and weird tiny details to his personality. Completely normal.

 But then one day you realised that it wasn't normal when you found a magical tracking device in your bag. It was disguised as a keychain, but you didn't remember that keychain being that way... so you took it and ran a diagnostic spell with your wand.

"What is this?! You don't trust me?!" you had yelled, throwing the keychain down on the table one day when he arrived at your house for "alone together" time. He blinked, looked surprised, took the keychain and then looked at you.

You thought there was anger in his bright green eyes, but then he talked to you in worried tones and you realised it had been anxiety and fear... right?

"Oh, my darling, my pet, I'm so sorry... I should've told you. I'm just so scared about something happening to you!" he had said, looking morose and down at his shoes. "I should've talked to you. Being the beloved of the Chief of Aurors isn't a safe thing. That's why... G-she left... that's why I've been single for so long..."

Wait, you had heard differently...! Was all that a lie so the media and the public would leave them alone...? Was it a ruse for their own safety, did Ginny actually leave to protect herself and Harry...? That would explain his sadness, why he can't say her name, and it made so much more sense now!

So you let it slide, the same as you let his outburst after an old classmate had come into the café to say hi slide, the same when he had stormed into your house demanding to know where you had been and why hadn't you answered your daily owl, the same when he had snatched you out of the street and told you in no uncertain terms that he wasn't comfortable with you going to work anymore, that it could be dangerous...

At first you had been very compliant, it was Harry after all. If anyone knew about safety it was him. But as his grip slowly started to tighten more and more around you you started to rebel. 

You had always been independent, making your own way even in school, making your own decisions, ready to handle the consequences of your own actions, learning from your own mistakes... but now...?

Now, curled up in the corner of the dark dungeon, you regretted not seeing the signs. They were so apparent, your friends had told you it wasn't okay... that he was acting too weird at times... but love had blinded you, and now there was no way out...

"Ready to obey me?" Harry's voice carried through the darkness and you snapped up your head so fast your neck popped. "Ready to listen to only me?"

How long had it been since you saw him, or anyone for that matter? Was someone asking for you outside? Looking for you? Or had he made it seem like you left... like... when... like when she left...? Oh Gods...

You screamed, and screamed, and screamed, reality setting in. She had never left, they had never split... HE had gotten to her, she had been down here, that explained the flowery smell that had wafted up towards you as you peered down the chest at his request and then when you were pushed down, landing softly due to his magic. It explained all the paper and broken quills that littered the dungeon's floor. She had been here, and now... where was she? ...Would you end up wherever she was...?

At your screams he pulled you up with his wand and yelled at you to shut up, to stop it, then shook and slapped you hard enough till you went quiet, terrified, his hands big and strong, bruising you. You were a shaking mess, crying quietly, curled up in a terrified ball on the bed.

"Oh, pet... See what you made me do...?" he cooed softly, sitting next to you, caressing your hair softly. "I just love you so much... All you need to do is listen to me! That's all you need to do! Obey me and I'll always be at your feet, my beloved... Why can't you see that...? Why can't you see how much I love you...?"

His hand slowly caressed your bruises, touching them with hot fingers. You winced and pulled away, but you received another slap to the face and you went slightly limp, letting him touch you. His hands travelled all over your body, the same way they had done that day at the forest, during one of your strolls...

Unwhitewash The Bad Batch, others have more and better things to say on this topic but it must be stated if I’m going to make a post about this show at all.

I forgot literally everything about this show, and part of the reason why is because I didn’t like it that much 😅

Still gonna watch the rest and season 2 though
