Another year, another group of my delightful ninth graders trying to spell the word "tragedy" for their Romeo and Juliet assignment.

About wocwog HJ. I love him. He's so raw, and there's so much pain and rage.

Never even in death will you lose your fame, but you will be in men’s thoughts, your name ever immortal... (Theognis 245-246, trans. Gerber 1999).
Sometimes, the niche crossover urge takes over. This is based on Greek red-figure vase paintings of kithara players (specifically the ones here and here). If you want to hear a little about how the kithara is played and a little sample of improvisation on the instrument, check out the video here!

The most heartbreakingly sinister thing Supernatural ever did was have Cas believe there could be a happy life for Dean with him gone. That Dean could just move on. That Dean could just be happy without Cas in his life. That Dean could ever get over losing his angel.
DEAN WOULD NEVER GET OVER CAS. EVER.
The man carried Cas' bloody trenchcoat from car to car because a part of him always believed that cas'd come back.
Tumblr media
The man stayed A YEAR in Purgatory (even though the way out was RIGHT THERE!!) because he had to find Cas and had to bring him home.
Tumblr media
He literally killed himself when he believed Cas was gone for good. And he would've stayed dead if Billie didn't have other plans for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The man decided he actually wanted to live again ONLY AFTER the gay angel returned to him.
Tumblr media
Dean would never EVER get over Cas. But Cas never realized that. So he killed himself, unknowingly killing Dean in the proces...

For decades, the blank vision that Iudex Neuvillette wears near his heart has been subject to much discussion in Fontaine. Nobody remembers who it had once belonged to or why the ancient dragon protected it so jealously. It is said that if the Chief Justice would to stare at it for a long while, it would be sure to rain right after. Oh, how beloved that person must've been.

Imagine, a few hundred years after Jason's death, he becomes a historical figure, unbelievably famous, that people write books about him and New Rome has his face printed on their gold coins. It's a Van Gogh situation where he isn't appreciated or noticed of the work he's done until centuries after he's gone, simply because one archaeologist decides to dig through the past and discover his true character, even offering Apollo a gift in exchange for an interview in the process, since only he had seen Jason alive for the last time. And Apollo starts to tear up recalling Jason's last moments .

thinking about. how merlin brings out the best in arthur and on the other hand arthur brings out the darkest parts of merlin. how arthur always tries to be better and do the right thing because merlin believes in him and he wouldn't want to disappoint him. because he believes merlin is good and he wants to be good for him. how merlin always ends up making the worst decision in his desire to protect arthur, doing things he never thought he'd do. how from saving arthur's life because that's a right thing to do, he goes to putting his life above any of his own morals.
