While watching The Glory I honestly didn’t expect Yeo Jeong to be a fully developed character. I thought he’d just be a slightly unhinged love interest. Dong Eun is traumatized and isolated to a severe degree. A love interest completely dedicated to her and her alone makes sense. She deserves a bit of a treat, and there’s no other type of person she’d ever trust at her initial stage.

I was wrong. Yeo Jeong is those things but it’s explained and sensible. He’s also traumatized and fucking unhinged. He understands her pain. People will wax poetic about love at first sight and soulmates but heaven forbid two people recognize the same brokenness in each other.

Their relationship is awkward and stiff. It should be. If these two had slept together, or had steamy scenes, I would’ve been annoyed. It doesn’t make sense. They don’t need tension, they need reliability and genuine connection. It hurt my soul, but Dong Eun left for 6 months and she knew he’d still be there waiting. She left to help him, but still.

Not all relationships need bubbly feelings. Some need slowness. Some need distance. They have chemistry, but it’s not the fiery tension that we’re used to. I can’t help but think about her walking in and swearing to be his sword. How she lived and gave up 6 months of her life for him and knew he’d still be there. That is some fucking certainty. Dong Eun needs someone like this. They’re insane weirdos.

ooh ok my favorite tv shows at the moment ! supernatural as u know teheh. and i’m so close to finishing breaking bad it’s sooo good idk if you’ve seen it! i’m planning on watching better call saul after when i’m done. and then the walking dead of course <3 i am a hugeee interview with the vampire fan (i luv the book & movie) so i’ve been watching the new show & it’s very very well done. i have been obsessed! i’m really riding amc rn w the recs 😭 but they have so many bangers. alice in borderland is another one of my favs!! it’s based off a manga so it’s a little crazy but super addicting. and the characters are great! OMG i’m also watching the boys (bc jensen is in it HAHA) and it’s soo good too. it’s kind of a lot sometimes though there’s some really dark themes, so just be aware of that. i also really enjoy the umbrella academy, it’s one of my favorites and its sooo funny. also if you like dark comedies, barry is really good and pretty short! i haven’t watched it in a while but i remember being addicted.

continuing with the kiss that happened at the end of the previous episode, we see yeong hwa sad and crying about dan ah playing with his feelings 💔 i’m a bit disappointed the show didn’t make this scene more serious. however, i do understand why they chose that angle

ms. seo (as he likes to call her) always calls him kid. we see him cry over the kiss then instantly become happy when he eats chicken, pouting when things don’t go his way. he truly is a kid. it’s like we saw him through dan ah’s eyes

i find it amusing how he’s the only one who can drive dan ah crazy like that. makes their relationship even more interesting

may’s reaction to mi joo’s a*gyo is the same as mine whenever i see a*gyo. #cringe

the first half of this episode focused more on dan ah and i really enjoyed it because the writers developed her complicated relationship with her younger brother.

i feel for tae woong because all he wants is a family and some affection. he’s ready to do anything for his sister. “i guess i have a weakness for people who like me. i’m not immune to love yet” that explains a lot

this might be a detail for some but i was waiting to see woo sik run because we couldn’t at the beginning of the show.

contrary to what mi joo says, i think seon gyeom’s super cute with glasses. adds 144562545896523 points to his natural charms. and her excuse made me roll my eyes so much 🙄 “i don’t want anything covering your face” well, allow me to disagree with you

ki eun bi is a queen 👑👑👑 she’s talking back to her father’s friends while still being polite and courteous. and then we see her defending children’s dreams and careers when she says “does your daughter want to play golf?” she’s living her father’s dream and i’m not sure if she began playing golf for herself or her father. i like that she has enough distance with her childhood to realize she doesn’t want other kids to go through what she’s been through

“i don’t want to talk to married men” i’m so sorry your father forces you to do that queen :( you don’t deserve it

i’m happy this show still gives us many interesting quotes about translating (just so i can annoy the 0 people who are reading this) “some people say it’s treason to translate” it’s such a true statement. i’ve seen people, especially for movies, say well you’re just twisting what the original version says. you don’t know the truth. you’ll never be able to give a good translation of this word/sentence. and as translators, trust me, we know. and that’s one of our biggest fears. we can spend hours focusing on one word because we don’t want the message to get across the wrong way. we’ve had nightmares about it as well. which is why i’ve never wanted to work for movies/shows because i know the impact is bigger than any other field of translation.

it was obvious that ki jeong do (seon gyeom’s father) would spy on the main couple. it still sent chills down my spine though

in case you didn’t know it already, lee yeong hwa is my favorite character. he can go from cold to cutie in .2 seconds. i prefer the cute version even more (even though i cringe at his a*gyo)

i like that whenever yeong hwa is in a scene, it always ends up being funny lol

like for example when he was trying to put the lens in seon gyeom’s eye. everything stopped and cue the romantic music. add on top of that yeong hwa saying things like “don’t you feel the tension?” (i forgot to copy paste the exact words sorry for that)

or when mi joo asked yeong hwa if he saw anyone suspicious. yeong hwa: *points at mi joo* idk if it was on purpose but it brought me back to mi joo saying seon gyeom is suspicious lol

it felt nice to see dan ah share her feelings about yeong hwa “you’ve been my comfort but also my despair” “i used to be content with your paintings but it made me miss you more.” “it felt like wasting time without you by my side” i don’t know how their story will end but i hope we’ll get a few more moments like this one please?

“using the family to your advantage disgusts me” yes seon gyeom! tell your father the truth! when he came to save eun bi from these men, i let out a sigh of relief. FINALLY!!!

ki jeong do blaming seon gyeom’s behavior on mi joo. it’s partly true because she’s the one who encouraged him to do whatever he wants, to not listen to everything anyone else has to say and to focus on what he feels. but i think seon gyeom had it in him. mi joo was just the catalyst in that change of behavior

“you ruined seon gyeom. he used to be such a good boy but he won’t listen to me anymore” “i have the right to own him” like mi joo said, it feels like ki jeong do thinks his son is an object and not a person. he’s been using his family all along. and he’s mad that he can’t do that with his son anymore.

and then mi joo counteracts with “your son isn’t an object. why do you talk as if he’s yours?” “then you’d discard him if there’s a seizure warranty on him” thankfully mi joo is here to defend seon gyeom and prove she cares for him

when seon gyeom said “she (mi joo) is my strength, not my weakness” i went weak in the knees. mi joo is the one who helped him be more confident and bold. she pushed him out of his comfort zone. he gives it his all when he falls in love

hello! this your secret santa #2 again! i loved your answer, it made me rewatch some of their stuff, and i was especially focused on minhyuk :')

i also always really loved their bond, i know most groups are close, but they truly are a group of brothers, it's so sweet to see. i also have to say what you pointed out about minhyuk are some of the reasons i respect him so much, too; he's genuine and straightforward and i love that. 🥺

and for me, i actually got into mx last summer! i fully became a fan on the first day of fall last year haha, it was when i watched the guide to mx and loved their vibe immediately. i tend to bias idols with big smiles so kihyun was my instant pick, but as time goes by i'm more drawn to shownu. although, i will say most of the time i feel like i can't choose a bias, they're all so <333 🫂🤗❤️‍🔥🤧

before i knew them, i was intimidated by them for some reason, i thought joo was this big, scary, meanie (LOL!!) and i saw a picture of a frowning kihyun and i thought wow these guys must be intense (hilarious to think about it now). i got into them through one of a kind and all about luv, had those albums on repeat before i even knew their names or anything about them. once i decided to give them a chance.... instant love. love at first sight. 😊

omg honestly i was the same before i stanned, it's crazy how different they are in reality versus how they seem to those unfamiliar with them.. when i only know who shownu was i thought he was the maknae for some reason (?? maybe because his personality seemed a bit timid??) and in my head i thought the other members must be Big And Scary.. but yes once you give them a chance it is so easy to love them!!!

favorite songs would hands down be see you again, underwater, miss you, no reason.. they've all got a similar vibe (atleast in my mind idk) that makes me Yearn.. also LOVE the raps in all of those songs, they all hit so hard to me. for me with kpop it's definitely more about vibes than lyrics and a lot of times i never even look up/translate the lyrics but if i had to point to something i always loved wonho's lyrics from his composed songs (if only, no reason, and now some of his solo music as well).. he’s so poetic and the way he writes is just so beautiful

favorite variety omg.. i definitely lean towards their older variety stuff just because i used to rewatch it sooo much when i entered the fandom so it has a special place in my heart. particularly right now and monsta x ray!! they're such classics and all the episodes of each are so fun. but actually definitely probably my favorite variety moment was from one of their appearances on idol room, the segment where they're all trying to catch the bread in their mouth 😭😭😭😭 i still think it's sooo funny i could watch it on repeat for hours and not get tired of it.. they get SO into it and it's just so silly. do you have any fav variety moments? there's so many good ones!!

Rourk kept staring at Valamir’s hands. He didn’t know why; they were just hands. However, this particular lashran’s hands were unlike any other’s. The long fingers could detect and soothe any hurt in the body, kneading and probing sore muscles until the recipient was practically mush. Those hands appeared slender and soft, but there were callouses on the palms from weapon usage. Valamir was simply adept at softening them to a silk finish through regular usage of creams and essential oils.

Those hands could kill. They’d done it before, Rourk knew. For all his beauty and soft-spoken words, Valamir was possibly the most dangerous man that Rourk had ever met in his life. His hands could manipulate weaponry with deadly accuracy, yet they could also work magic on a beloved friend or partner.

“And just what are you staring at?”

Rourk blinked, and he forced his gaze off of Valamir’s bronze hands, busily kneading the dough for a bread loaf the elder was in the process of making. The blond haired sire felt himself blush as Valamir’s deep purple eyes met his. So direct, that stare. Even now, after knowing Valamir and being with him for this long, the lifebearer could tear him down with a mere glance.

“Your hands,” answered Rourk truthfully. “I was just thinking of the history behind them.”

“The history?” Valamir frowned a bit, and he paused to regard his own flour-coated hands curiously.

“Indeed.” Rourk smiled at him, loving him all the more for that humble and innocent streak in him. “Those lovelies have seen more battles than anyone I’ve known, and yet every time you touch me with them, I...well, you know the rest, don’t you? I think last night speaks for itself.”

Valamir gave a low, soft chuckle. He shook his head, and the illumination of the kitchen lanterns softly highlighted the subtle gold blending in with the deep red shade of his hair. “You’ve quite the imagination, my love.”

Enchanted, Rourk fixated on those auburn waves. He reached out to run his fingers through the thick, long length of the ponytail that Valamir had gathered his locks into for his baking endeavors.

“I don’t think it requires much of an imagination to visualize it all, once a person knows your past. If doubtful, all one needs to do is gaze into your eyes...gods, you’re beautiful eyes...to see the truth of it.”

“Are you deliberately trying to seduce me?” Valamir raised a brow at him, smirking slightly. “I do need to finish this loaf, Rourk. Welvryn is going to be tired and hungry by the time he comes home from the academy.”

“Of course,” amended Rourk, keeping their other partner in mind. He swore to all that was good that he had the best possible arrangement of any sire in Wyndrah. He had not one, but two stunning lifebearers to bed down with at night. It was really no wonder some of his colleagues resented him. “I suppose I’m just distracted, watching those hands at work.”

“Well and good.” The silken amusement in Valamir’s tone didn’t fade. “Perhaps tonight after we’ve shared our meal and settled down for bed, I can demonstrate some of the features you’ve lauded.”

“As long as they are the features that don’t include snapping necks,” joked Rourk with a grin. “I’m yours, always.”

“I wouldn’t dream of snapping this beloved neck,” assured Valamir. He took a moment to reward Rourk’s praise, leaning close to brush his lips against said throat to make the sire’s breath catch. “But let us leave this subject matter for later, shall we? You’re in danger of distracting me.”

“Ah...yes.” Rourk blushed again. “I’ve...distracted me too. Excuse me, lover.”

As he retreated from the kitchen to see to the sudden condition in his pants, Rourk heard Valamir’s soft, snorting laughter. He grinned in spite of himself. For all his grace and beauty, Valamir had the most quirky laugh.
