Random thought while I was petting my cat

Do yall think Altaïr and Malik are cat persons?

Altaïr is too Bird coded, I feel like cats would chase and attack his cape and he just doesnt know how to react

For Malik ,,, I think he wouldn't want a cat to distract him from his work, but eventually he would change his mind the moment the cat fell asleep on his lap or smg

Okay but, hot take maybe, I feel like being Robin was the only ‘different path’ or ‘good path’ Damian realistically can take. Maybe since he’s so young he could learn to be… for lack of a better word: better. But as a 10 yo who’s been raised since he physically could train to be an assassin, and then suddenly getting plunged into a world with Batman, with Bruce, in Gotham.

For Dick, the argument wether or not he should’ve become Robin is a whollleee nother can of worms I’m not going to comment on, but I find it… strange, that Bruce finds all these kids that really do need help and a loving place to stay, Dick, having no one, Jason, needing shelter and a family, Tim, losing his parents and blackmailing to become a vigilante that could lose their life on a daily basis ( we dont talk abt Steph rn). They are all children, children who could have just been that, children, even in the Wayne manor. Sure Jason has some violence in him, don’t they all (that’s not even a good argument for anything, he’s just a boy)? Dick is just a boy who was raised to fly, Tim has bad parents who can sometimes be good, Steph, she… she deserves to be spoiler if she wants. Cass is also like Damian, and as we seen everywhere and especially in bwfa she’s working through it and figuring out who she wants to be. But Damian. He’s only ever known violence, it’s what he was literally born to do and BE. So when he’s dumped on Bruce, dumped on Batman, Robin just makes sense. It’s an outlet that he can still ‘be violent’ while learning that he doesn’t have to kill, that he can use his talents to help and cleanse instead of hurt and defile. He doesn’t have to be stuck to his Al Ghul legacy, but he doesn’t necessarily have to leave behind that time in his life as Robin. Maybe that will change and he’ll decide Robin is not for him; like his brothers have, they tried Robin, it was a part of their lives and then they became their own person, I just don’t think Damian’s ready for that. After he’s grown and learned what I stated previously, I think he could be.

So my wee little brain likes to do random things sometimes and it has made a silly little thought, that I think some would enjoy (or not who knows)

So in How To Train Your Dragon 2 Hiccup delivers this line. "Its not everyday that you find out that your mother is some kind of crazy, feral, vigilante dragon lady"

Key word here Vigilante

So my brain thought "oh so Bruce"

Which leads me to present a How to Train Your Dragon AU where Bruce and Talia have sweet little Damian. Bruce (who is Valka in this AU) can't stand the killing that the League of Shadows (Assassins) and leaves having to leave behind baby Damian (aka Hiccup)

But Talia changes her ways (takes over the league), and Damian somehow finds Bruce reuniting their family and they live happily ever after

We are ignoring Talia (aka Stoick) dying in the movie cause I only like happy endings

Now I'm more of a superbat fan so if it's them instead I wouldn't mind...

Fanfiction writing prompt: If you read Flight of Icarus, then you know that Jonathan and Eddie had the same kind of asshole fathers. I'm just wondering if Al and Lonnie were friends or at least partners in crimes. Maybe Joyce and Elizabeth had been friends. Maybe Joyce babysat for Elizabeth and looked after Eddie until there was a falling out between Al and Lonnie. Elizabeth and Joyce were no longer allowed to be friends. . .and she couldn't make it right because Elizabeth died a few short years later. After splitting with Lonnie, she was too busy to reach out to Eddie and Joyce until after Eddie died. . .until he came back. Every called him Junior because he looked like his father, everyone except Wayne and now Joyce. The minute she saw him, she said:

"You're definitely Elizabeth's son."

I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it

So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.

Stephanie, the first sidekick who defines the role

Tim, the sidekick who dies and comes back wrong

Dick, the sidekick who saves Batman from himself

Damian, the sidekick who was never supposed to be a sidekick but would go on to prove everyone wrong

Jason, the youngest sidekick who is still the Kid Wonder

...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).

I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.
