It was a rather beautiful, peaceful place, Yoshi Island. It was one of many places that Mario and Peach had crossed while trying to get to the Darklands and to him. Luigi had of course come to observe the flora, but he'd been keen on spotting the fauna as well. Yoshi Island was the home of the yoshi, a dinosaur-like creature that was deemed fairly docile in nature. He'd stopped to take a drink of water and had only been doing so for a moment when he felt something snake around his thigh. He yelped, scrambling like his life depended on it. "AHHHHGEDDITOFF! GEDDITOFF!"

He screamed for several seconds more before realizing the thing grabbing him was... it was a *snake? No, a tail. And that tail was attached to a yoshi, wasn't it? A green one. "Ahhh- Is this your creek? I- I'm sorry, I didn't know. I'm just passing through." What was he doing? Yoshi couldn't understand human language, could they?

An ever hopeful gesture at finding a friend of similar species turns into a shock as the stooped being bolts up shrieking in a very shrill and not very yoshi-like way. Jerking back in surprise, Transit retrieves his tail quickly and wraps it around his own thigh while taking a step back or two, paws raised partially in front of him like a barrier in case the stranger was an immediate danger to him or his back-strapped packages.

A further flinch is the first response to the inquiry after the screaming stops, and his tail squeezes his own leg tighter in defense as he squints over at the other, clearly non-yoshi. With that sort of nose and complexion, he seems more like Gadd's type, if he had to place a bet. Shaking himself out in a way that caused the load on his back to rustle, Transit takes a curious step forward after causing startled distance between them, whining unintelligible noises following him for a moment.

"Hrrgn-...wa-aoh-aoh...whoaa-oh?" At the assumption the creek was his, Transit shakes his head, reaching in to pop himself on the chest just beneath the satchel strapped over his bosom. "Yssh- yaw yaw, yawwwwshi- buh!!" The mechanical flower strapped to his shoulder crackled slightly, tilting its petals inward to drink in the dino's squeaks and expel rough translations in a less expressive, robotic voice. [Sorry- I thought you were of my ilk. But you do resemble Dad-Gadd, so...perhaps we are?]
