My Top 10 Favorite Examples of Character Notices a Kid, Asks "Is anyone gonna adopt that?" and Doesn't Wait For an Answer (whether or not the kid is in need of actual adoption is not relevant information).

1.

Spike and Dawn. Probably the first example that ever caught my heart. Will I ever forgive the writers for ruining the friendship between the vampire and his Nibblet? Survey says 'No'.

Alec and Madzie. HE LIKED HER GILLS. SHE TRAPPED HIM IN AN ELEVATOR SO THAT SHE WOULDN'T BE FORCED TO KILL HIM. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?

Anakin and Ahsoka. Or as I only and ever remember them: Snips and Skyguy. He gave her all the tools she needed to survive him and I'm going to cry about it forever.

Trixie and Mazikeen. Also known as the Demon Zoo Keeper and the President of Mars. Totally the reason Maze got that first spark that let her grow her own soul. I pity the first person who breaks that kid's heart.

Kenzi and Tamsin. Don't you just hate it when a character spends days raising the rapidly aging Valkyrie through her newest childhood and then has weird mom-feelings for the millennia old Dark Fae? I ask because I don't. I think it's THE BEST.

Penny and Don. When a character admits to being a smuggler straight to the captain of a spaceship to save the life of the kid? Instant older brother acquisition acquired. Penny go get your parents, there's a new Robinson that needs to be adopted.

Maleficent and Aurora. That unfortunate situation where one curses a toddler to fall asleep forever on their 16th birthday only to end up loving that child like a daughter and being unable to break her own curse because 'no power on Earth' can do it. Oh how the turntables turntable... 🥺. And how I just EAT THAT STUFF UP!

Crowley and Warlock. It's kinda sad how much I love this one considering there's like 5 minutes of on-screen interaction. BUT I love the angst potential of Warlock having felt abandoned by his Nanny Ashtoreth and coming across Crowley and just... recognizing him on sight.

Din and Grogu. Must I explain this one? Even putting aside absolutely every single adorable interaction... just the sheer comedy of going on a galactic 'get this kid some parents... oh wait... I'm parents?' road trip? Iconic.

10.

Steve and... all the kids, every single one of the kids, I mean it, Steve and the whole set of the kids. Recipe for world's best babysitter - 2 tablespoons shitty advise, 1 cup protective instinct, 1 ¾ gallons nervous breakdown and a car trunk full of bats with nails.

Sleeping Beauty (1959) turned 65, and it remains still such a beautiful film. It's one of my favourite quintessential fantasy films, and I adore princess Aurora and Maleficent!

Hades and Maleficent Child!Yuu At NRC (first year)

!English is not my first language, so sorry for my bad english!

Male!Yuu

The first time Yuu arrived at the NRC, it didn't bother him.

He knew he was going to have to go, but he didn't expect to leave the underground so soon ! He didn't even have time to say goodbye to his family ! Aurora must be so worried at this time, and Maleficent must be angry and worried and Hades must have probably tried to explain everything to both of them... Yuu will have to give Hades a big hug when he sees him again for the reward of taking care of a Maleficent and Aurora worried.

The Black Mirror was a surprised for him.

Why the Mirror of the Queen is here ? And why it say that Yuu have no power ?? And why it say that his home is not in this world ???

The Mirror have forget his dragon form, or..?

The third question was the quickest to answer. The underground was technically a separate world that was connected to Twisted Wonderland, where only the dead (+gods and the Faery family) can go.

The second question, well the answer is simple, the Mirror love, like, LOVE the chaos.

Only a few know it, but the Mirror is a chaotic thing. It was create for the chao and only the chao.

And what's better for create the chaos than the son of two old friends ? Especially when the son is a good actor ?

And the first had no answer for now, Yuu will have to ask to the Queen for the answer.

Well, that doesn't matter for now.

Yuu have to play the without magic student.

▪︎Yuu was often looked down upon at the NRC for being "magicless", but that was nothing he couldn't change with a good kick in the ass.

▪︎What ? It's not because he can't use magic that he can't fight people. And win.

▪︎Yuu had become very close to some people in his class, like Kalim, aka the Secret Love Child of the Sun, Silver, aka Aurora 2.0, Jamil, aka "You are not my friend, stop FOLLOWING ME", and Ruggie, aka the only poor person in all the NRC.

▪︎He is also closed of a robot named Ortho, the brother of the robot that is not a robot, Idia, an old general fae named Lilia, and Malleus.

▪︎Well, Malleus wasn't really his friend, he was a member of his family. But Malleus don't know they are technically cousins, so Yuu will act like if they were friends and not family.

▪︎Yuu is now the prefect of Ramshakle, or, by it's real name, Oboro-bog. The dorm of Chernabog.

▪︎Funfact : Yuu tried to bring Chernabog back to the NRC to make him stand next to the other NRC statues. He wanted to see how people would react to this, but unfortunately Chernabog refused.

▪︎His first year was calm, no problem, maybe he had some ennemies (*cough* Riddle, Azul, Vil *cough*)

▪︎Oh, and he was a lot observed. Most of the time it was Rook and the Leech Brothers.

▪︎And when he come back in the Underground, he was greeted with a big hug from the whole family. He had missed it.

Darkside Disney Princesses: Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty I decided to take a twist on the whole Maleficent movie relationship thing.

So for this AU, Briar Rose, instead of running up to her room in despair after hearing she's a princess and has to leave her whole life behind, instead runs out into the woods. And before the fairies can find her--they're still keeping their magic small to keep their location secret, not knowing its already been compromised--she runs into Maleficent.

Of course, she has no idea who the wicked fairy is. No one has ever told her about her. All she knows is that a beautiful and powerful being of the forest is before her, but Rose has never known real wickedness, and perhaps she's feeling somewhat rebellious towards her aunts, so she begins talking to the strange woman when Maleficent --who likes to play with her food-- feigna concern asks Rose to tell her what's made her so upset.

So Rose tells her about how she just found out her whole life is a lie, and how she'll never see the first boy she ever met again, and how she doesn't want to go and be princess with a king and queen she doesnt know, parents who gave her up for some reason intead of bothering to raise her themselves.

If she had had time to process her grief, and the promise of not being separated from her new found love, Rose might have been able to get over these resentments, spoken in the heat of the moment, more quickly.

But Maleficent decides that fanning the flames of he Princess's broken heart and trust, playing on her anger towards Stefan and the three fairies, could be so much more entertaining than just killing the girl outright.

So she takes Rose by the arm, and back with her to her palace, where she promises her the truth about all her questions, and the answers to how to solve all her problems...

Time passes, and the princess never arrives on her 16th birthday.

The king and queen are distraught. Relations breakdown between the human kingdom and the fairy court, as the fairies failed in their duties to guard the human girl, and they are called back into the Veil of the Fairies, leaving the mortals to fend for themselves.

Then relations break down between the human kingdoms when Prince Phillip goes missing as well, vanished into the forest, never to be seen again.

And then others begin to vanish. A farmer here, a wandering knight there. A whole group of children one moonless night. As more disappear, many more begin to flee entirely. Fields are left untilled, houses abandoned, borders undefended.

Tales soon cross the land as the refugees take flight from Stefan and Hubert's kingdoms. Tales of a dark presence that haunts the shadows of the woods, stealing away those who are foolish enough to wander beneath the trees. A fiend who takes the shape of a beautiful forest sprite, with a voice like a nightnagle. She causes all who hear it to fall under her spell, wandering into the shadows like they're walking in a dream, one from which they will never wake...
