Go to Pinterest and select the first character, real person, quote, and outfit to get your vibe. Then add your 7 comfort films.
I don't have pinterest, but I pulled these from my camera roll & my non-PPCU tumblrs (I specifically saved that screenshot from the Sound of Music for Maria's dress so I'm counting it lol)!
The Yuri on Ice GIF is from this post. The quote is by Heather O'Neill, featured in this web weave.

(Meant to include this with my COA 5 Analysis but forgot. Mostly just looking at the various posters and such references that appear somewhere in COA 5, primarily the pre-registration)
Moulin Rouge (which Golden Rose Theater has connections to) Aired in the 19th-20th century. Means "red windmill" (and we can see a small red windmill in the background of the poster).
Victoria Bicycle Factory - Nürnberg
1910 German poster for the Victoria Bicycle brand
1917 Russian Tobacco advertisement
The Saturday Evening Post
From the 1920s to the 1960s, it was one of the most widely circulated and influential magazines within the American middle class, with fiction, non-fiction, cartoons and features that reached two million homes every week
Blackbird theater may be a reference to the "Blackbirds of 1928" or "Blackbird Revue", which ran for several months at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, France.
"Tea Makes Everything Better" advertisement
May be a reference to the East Side of New York. Upper East Side is one of the wealthiest parts of the city
Cigarette ad
"vice" makes me think of the Pre-registration event referencing the scene where Robot Maria "bewitches the men of Metropolis". The words on the image comes from that scene: „Alle sieben Todsünden um ihretwillen-!" = “All seven deadly sins for her sake!"
Paramount Pictures was founded in 1914, and is currently the oldest running American studio and 5th oldest surviving film studio. It even had a theater built in Brooklyn, New York
Advertisement for Hawaii
The Lava Planet May reference a real thing, as a lava planet is a hypothetical type of planet mostly covered in hot lava. 1 candidate is K2-141b, which has hot lava on one side, but extreme cold on the other, with a magma ocean, rock vapor atmosphere, and supersonic winds
1 sign says "Museum", which may be a reference to COA 3 (to Pickman's art museum). The other I can't read, but the man is holding a pipe, so it could be another smoking related ad.
A few more pictures that can't be made out well or I haven't found references for yet 2nd picture has the word "Cup" 3rd picture has the word "Neo" 4th picture has one sign with the word "Colt" and the other sign seems to end in an "ee"
"A Trip to the Moon". A film inspired by Jules Verne's "From the Earth to the Moon" and "Around the Moon". A group of scientists build a spaceship and are shot to the moon by a group of women, where they hit the man in the moon's eye.
They find a cave with giant mushrooms + soil fertile enough to let their umbrellas take root. An alien disappears when tapped with an umbrella. They're captured & taken to the moon's ruler + his lobster guard. They escape, return to Earth, land in the ocean, & picked up by a ship.
@ofwealthandtaste ASKED: ‘ i like your enthusiasm. ‘(ANDRE)
"Verdad, I practiced hard." she can't help but smile at he compliment. She looked back at her brother, who stood a little ways off like the watchdog he was.
He was always protective of his sister, protecting her from anything he thought could hurt her. The world was only them, traveling from one place to another. They had to live, somehow.
"Did you see the dancers? I saw some of them, pero it was lovely. no bailan como las bailarinas. oh!" again she looked back at her brother, as if for approval. He seemed undisturbed by the conversation thus far. If this patron was going to do her harm, Bernardo would step in to pull her out.
"But I like to sing. Someday," her face lit up as she looked back to him, " Cantaré en una ópera de verdad. A real one."
There were other stars amid the moulin rouge. Other dancers and singers. But Maria's voice added some range of foreign exoticism, adding another language to the French and English that was most present.
The stage and its work backstage were all she had ever known, her brother dragging her from one job to the next. but here, here was exciting.
What are you headcanons if Jac and Sia ask the family and the J&V Crew for help setting up a romantic date/confession spot for Janice and Maria after they got impatient and want them to confess?
Let’s see
They were expecting this tbh, and more than happy to help. Thankfully, almost all of them have dating experience.
Joe found a good spot on the beach, a dock big enough for a table and two chairs for enough space.
Nadia, Jack and Malachite are in charge of food. They kept in mind of their tastes and hope it please them.
Cece was in charge of music, slow love rock songs and jazz.
Once they have everything set up, Jac and Sia called the girls. Both came in a rush since they called making seem like Janice/Maria was in an accident.
Both girls were surprised, releived and happy to see each other ok. (And possibly will get back and Jac and Sia later.)
The date went smoothly, with both girls relaxing and talking whatever.
Cece hid a small camera disguised as a rock, everyone was happy to see them happy.
Suddenly, the wind blew harshly and making the wine, which Maria was about to sip, spill on her clothes.
Janice quickly got up and try to wipe the stain out while Maria assured her it was fine.
They finally realized the closeness and just stared at each other. Everyone watching was in the edge of their seats, praying to the moment, until...
"SQUAK!"
A seagull picked up the camera rock and flew away. They groaned in frustration, with Cece cursing to make the the bird into a roast.
However, not all was lost. As the next day, they saw both girls holdings hands and had the brightest smiles.
Appearance: Maria is petite and thin with very pale white skin, pretty doll like facial features with large up turn violet eyes and a beauty mark on the left side under her lips, short very blonde-almost white hair in a bob cut
Clothes: Her wardrobe is mostly very modest and nothing too special, usually very covering of her body such as sweaters, long sleeve button ups, long shirts shortest being just three inches above her knees, high socks, leggings, and barely any form of jewelry besides her studs of her ears and her silver cross around her neck
Personality: Maria's pretty simple and quiet on the outside, never been one to cross a line of any kind and never rebelled in any form. Is very loyal and sweet albeit moody and easily annoyed but easily bashful specifically towards Janice. She needs more confidence and bravery in her but that's what her friends are here for.
Schooling: 1st Year of college, Photography and Art Major
Likes: Classical music, pasta, vanilla cake, singing, the smell of the ocean, Janice, cleaning, painting, taking pictures, French, her half/step-brother Hugo, the sunrise, the rain, Autumn, the scent of old books, Girl in Red, Cavetown, dodie, cats, aquariums, drawing, croissants, quiche, Italian food, French cuisine, magic, cute clothes, astrology, tarot readings, day dreaming, milkshakes and burgers, Panic! At The Disco, jazz
Dislikes: Liars, cheaters, thieves, when her father is angry, not being able to be free to do what she wants, being left behind, people lusting after her friends or Hugo, the idea her secrets get found out and thrown out, dogs, super hot summers and springs, smoking, fire drills, annoying people and questions, loud noises, fire unless it's safe campfire or far away fireworks
Story: Maria was an only child of a mother and father who weren't the best, often not feeding or bathing her and spending money on their addictions and greed than on her and sometimes sending her out to the cold to make her sell candy bars and flowers and matches until she gives them money, or so she's told. In all honesty she doesn't remember much of her childhood, just that she had parents and would remember the cold winter.
After passing out from a high fever she was taken in by the church were she met Pastor Claudius Moulin who took her in to his home and raised her with his child from a previous marriage Hugo, a boy who's half deaf and suffers from medical and physical complications and issues who is very crafty and beautiful at art.
After spending many years in France and being home schooled the Moulin family moved to America after the Pastor got a call about needing a proper man of God to the current city at age 16, there she met her current friends and spent high school hopefully crushing on Janice from afar and began a secret collection of the life she wants with make-up, different types of books than she's given, and spending a life with Janice.
Currently she goes to collage while working part-time as a singing waitress at "Dîner D'enfer" with Jac
Name Meanings:
Maria - Latin for either "of the sea" or "rebellious"
Moulin - French for "mill"
