I see no reason why they wouldn't have started as soon as his first live statement, so that's a good [does quick math] eighteen months of extremely distinctive recurring nightmares that he just. never brings up to anyone. sure, one could easily brush those off as normal nightmares for a while, but he must have connected the dots at some point.
