“Sasuke doesn’t get why I don’t hate him sometimes. Like, he sees the similarities between our situations, his brother being used as a pawn to kill their parents, and Obito, someone who could’ve been like a brother to me, being used as a pawn to kill my parents. And I get it, I see what he means, but I just can’t hate Obito.”
“I know he feels alone and he wants me to feel the same way so he he’s not, but…”
“I thought about my parents a lot as a kid, who they were, if they just died accidentally or if I was abandoned, and then I found out I was a jinchuuriki. And, well,…there were times I didn’t even think I was actually human, didn’t think I actually had parents.”
“Sasuke…Sasuke spent so many years hating Itachi for what he did, but me? I didn’t even know there was somebody to blame.”
“…I thought maybe I was the one to blame.”

Much shorter today, but both soft and angsty.
Ryomina Day 2: Stargazing/First Kiss (Ao3 Link)
These are all going to be continuations of Day 1 because I wanna explore this au more.
The amount of flipflopping I did trying to figure out if it’s even possible to see the stars in Kyoto - even at the stargazing spots - was… a lot, and I still didn’t get a definitive answer. All the pictures I looked at said no, but I also acknowledge that cameras aren’t always great, and they are called stargazing lookouts on various tourist sites. And the game and movie both show stars at night so we’re going to set aside the potential realities of light pollution and say that you can. And the first day of the trip is a new moon too, so it’d be a waste not to take advantage of that.
The hiking trail Ryoji drags Minato up against his will:https://www.insidekyoto.com/shogunzuka-seiryuden-hike-chion-temple
Also as usual, the song I listened to while writing this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox7Wt6fsm_A
Ryomina to Kimi no Na wa is somehow even more devastating.
~ ᙙᙖ ~
Minato had never really gotten attached to things before this year - aside from the mp3 player and Death/Thanatos - so he didn’t really miss anything from his childhood. But the one good thing that he could admit to missing, if he thought about it, was wandering the streets of Inagawa at night and looking up at the stars.
The green distortion of the dark hour tended to obscure the light of the stars, but even when it didn’t the light pollution of Tokyo not far away - plus Tatsumi Port Island itself - largely blocked them out.
Which meant that when they went to Kyoto for the school trip, Ryoji apparently decided on his own that that meant they should sneak out and go to the nearby Shogunzuka Seiryuden Temple to see if they could see any. Apparently it was the best lookout in the city, and a good place to stargaze.
Minato had his doubts given how bright the city was, but Ryoji seemed excited so he didn’t argue and just let the Shadow-turned-Persona-turned-boy sneak them out of the inn on the first night there to drag him on the long walk to the foot of the temple, then the half hour hike up to the temple itself.
If it had been anyone else Minato would have been annoyed and turned around. Ryoji was very lucky Minato liked him so much.
… especially after those six days where he’d been convinced that he’d lost him after Thanatos just vanished from his soul before Ryoji just showed up to school (which he still hadn’t explained and probably wouldn’t).
But Ryoji hadn’t let go of his hand the whole time they’d been walking, fingers intertwined and arms swinging as he chattered about the various things he’d been doing and exploring around Iwatodai and Tatsumi Port Island in the ten or so days he’d been consciously physical. It was almost surprising to hear how much he’d been doing without Minato - it had felt almost like they’d been glued together since the moment Ryoji walked into class with a grin and flirty line.
(It had taken an enormous amount of restraint for Minato not to throw himself out of desk and storm up to the front demanding to know where he’d been - the sudden flood of emotions he’d been struggling with since Thanatos vanished and suddenly whatever emotional suppression effect he’d had on Minato had vanished along with him had been difficult - but he’d managed to limit his reaction to a narrowed-eyed glare. They’d all thought Aigis was going to break cover and shoot him on the spot before she’d managed to get her own instinctual reaction under control.)
But they still spent a decent amount of time apart, given how busy Minato was helping various Social Links and Ryoji flirting his way through getting to know the entire school - how he was doing that without getting murdered by half the school population Minato neither knew nor cared - so it shouldn’t have been the surprise it was to realize that Ryoji somehow knew an entire year’s worth of drama that he hadn’t been around for.
Minato really didn’t care about the breakups and revenge plots and planned confessions of various couples around the school but Ryoji looked like he was having fun so he let him talk and only partially tuned him out.
When he’d come on the Kyoto trip he really hadn’t expected to be dragged on a multi-kilometer hike, but… well it wasn’t awful. The air was chilly enough that he wasn’t hot, and the months they’d spent sprinting up floor after floor of Tartarus meant he could easily handle the hike.
It just would have been nice to have some forewarning - or even just taken a taxi up.
But Ryoji was determined to have as many experiences as possible in the three months they had before The Fall, and Minato couldn’t fault him for it.
No one could escape time, not even the two of them, so they might as well make the most of it.
The downward turn of his thoughts must have been apparent to Ryoji - of course they were, he’d spent ten years sharing Minato’s soul - because the boy squeezed his hand with a sad smile and then yanked him forward.
Minato yelped and scrambled to catch his balance, and then they were running. Sprinting up the stairs, chilly autumn air whipping at their cheeks and red leaves and stone path blurring around them as Ryoji laughed and led the way and Minato couldn’t even bring himself to be annoyed as he rushed to keep up.
It was exhausting and exhilarating, the world blurring and fading away until all he could feel were the pounding of his heart and the slap of his shoes against the stone pathway and Ryoji’s hand in his, all he could see was Ryoji’s beaming smile and eerie two-toned blue eyes glowing in the dark.
When they finally reached the top Minato had to stop and double over to clutch at his side as he gasped for breath. Sometimes it was easy to forget just how not human Ryoji was.
There was a reason only Aigis could keep up with him.
“Sorry,” the Shadow-turned-boy offered sheepishly. “You alright?”
“F-Fine,” Minato panted. “Just… just give me… a minute…” Too many nights running from the Reaper had given him stamina at least, and the sudden thought made him snort.
Ryoji tilted his head questioningly.
Minato finally managed to straighten and begin to even out his breaths. “Usually I’m running away from the Reaper, not trying to catch up to him.”
That drew a startled laugh from Ryoji as he set his hands on his hips. “I’m not the Reaper! I mean I’m kind of similar I guess, but we’re still different! The Reaper doesn’t come from Nyx, I don’t think.”
“It doesn’t?”
“Not that I know of,” Ryoji shrugged. “I think it just comes from… elsewhere, like most Shadows,” he waved his hand vaguely in the air, “-and is drawn to places where Shadows gather.”
“Huh… well, you’re still kind of a reaper, even if you aren’t the Reaper.”
Ryoji stuck his tongue out at him. “Fair enough I guess. Now come on, we’re almost there!” He grabbed Minato’s hand and returned to pulling him forward towards the path opening up into the viewpoint area.
It was a small observational area overlooking the southern sector of Kyoto, and in the far distance he could even make out the glittering lights of Osaka in the clear, moonless night.
The important thing, though, was the endless expanse of stars above them that he hadn’t expected to see.
Minato stared wide-eyed, slowly walking forward towards the railing with Ryoji trailing behind him.
They weren’t quite as clear as they’d been in Inagawa, but they were there and sparkling like thousands of tiny fireflies in the far distance.
He hadn’t realized how much he’d missed being able to see them, and was even more startled by the sudden choking well of emotion rising from his chest to his throat and spilling out from his eyes. Was he really crying over the stars?
The sudden unpracticed ability to feel a full range of emotion again was becoming inconvenient.
He reached up to scrub at his eyes and tried not to jump when he felt arms wrap unexpected around his waist as Ryoji rested his chin on his shoulder.
“It’s fine, you know,” he murmured in his ear.
“They’re just stars,” Minato shot back, leaning into his hug. “They’re pretty, but it’s not worth crying over.”
“Isn’t it?” Ryoji countered. “You’ve missed them haven’t you. What wrong with that?”
… what indeed.
“It’s not like they’ve gone anywhere. I just couldn’t see them.”
“That doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to miss them.”
Minato had a feeling they weren’t just talking about the stars anymore.
Sighing, Minato reached down to intertwine their fingers. “It’s still annoying that I can’t control my emotions anymore.”
Ryoji snorted and pressed his face to Minato’s shoulder. “You mean that you have emotions again. You’ll get used to it - they aren’t bad.”
“Easy for you to say.” But Minato didn’t argue with him, just tipped his head back to stare up at the stars and try to remember the patterns of constellations. He could remember a few, tracing their paths with his eyes, and it was comfortable in the silence between them as he looked up at the twinkling lights in the sky and Ryoji looked down at the glittering lights of the city.
“It’s ironic,” Ryoji murmured finally. “I bet none of the scientists ever thought that the personification of Death could learn to value life, could learn to want to live and want humanity to live. I love you and I love them, and ten years ago I couldn’t have even imagined that I would be able to.”
Minato tightened his grip reflexively, trying to ignore the sudden burning behind his eyes and throat at the reminder. “I bet they’d be mortified,” he murmured. “Strega and Ikutsuki sure were.”
A wet laugh tumbled from the boy behind him. “Yeah, yeah they were. But I do. I do want to live. I want to live, and keep learning about people, seeing how they live and what they think. And I want to keep waking up every day with you and going down to the lobby to eat breakfast that Shinji made everyone while Yukari and Junpei argue and Akihiko and Mitsuru ignore them, and Fuuka tries to keep the peace while Ken sneaks Koromaru food from his plate, and Aigis tries to figure out why they’re arguing this time.” He was shaking, burying his face in Minato’s shoulder to hide his tears. “I want to stay with you forever, just like this.”
The tears had won the battle against Minato and they streaked down his face and turned the stars above them into a blur. He swallowed the knot in his throat and whispered, “Me too. I don’t want you to leave me too. I want to keep you here.” Wanted to drag Thanatos back into his soul, entwine them so strongly once more that he couldn’t leave him behind again. But they both knew he couldn’t - Ryoji’s very existence was proof that Death was whole once more, and a single human soul couldn’t contain Death without destroying itself.
But that didn’t mean he was willing to let go either.
Minato turned suddenly, startling Ryoji into loosening his grip, until they were facing each other. And it was a whim, a thoughtless, desperate motion to connect them once more that made Minato reach up to wrap his arms around Ryoji’s neck and pull him down to press their lips together for the first time. Ryoji froze for a moment before clinging more tightly to Minato’s waist and pulling him as close as he could.
And the kiss was awkward, wet with their shared tears and neither knowing what exactly they were supposed to do, but that wasn’t the point of it. Minato just wanted to be as close to him as he could in that moment, even if he couldn’t rejoin their souls. So it was awkward and desperate and not really good but it made him feel a little better to know it wasn’t just him.
That they were still the same even broken apart as they were.
When they pulled apart Minato tucked his head against Ryoji’s neck and just breathed. Ryoji clung to him just as tightly as he matched their breaths and they stood there. Together.
It wasn’t fair, none of it was fair, but they both knew that. There was nothing they could do about it - time came for them all in the end and they couldn’t close their eyes and cover their ears to hide from it. All they could do was live as much as they could until the end.
Minato found himself being dragged down as Ryoji suddenly fell backwards, until they were both sprawled on the concrete staring up at the stars once more. Minato’s arm was used as Ryoji’s cushion and his head was tucked against his shoulder and it wasn’t the most comfortable position but he didn’t want to move.
They just laid there, Ryoji occasionally pointing up to draw his attention to a constellation he either remembered or made up, and it was the calmest Minato had felt in weeks.
Time ticked ever onward though, and eventually Ryoji sighed and turned to press his lips to Minato’s head and murmured, “It’s almost midnight. Once the Dark Hour hits, I can fly us back.” His lips pulled up into a small smirk. “Save you the exhaustion of walking anywhere.”
Minato had complained about long walks to places before, even in his head, and while he didn’t hate exercise he wasn’t particularly thrilled with it either. Any other time he’d have been relieved at the offer.
But right here and now, in this extended fragile moment between them, with time ticking ever forward against them, he wanted to draw this out a little longer. Pretend for as long as possible that it was just the two of them and they had infinite time ahead of them.
So he just shrugged and said, “I can walk.”
Ryoji’s raised brow almost immediately morphed into understanding - of course it did - and his expression softened into something warm and pained. “If you’re sure. If we get back during the Dark Hour maybe Mitsuru won’t lecture us too badly about sneaking out.”
“And who’s fault was that?”
“I’ll take responsibility!”
“Somehow I don’t think that will save us,” Minato sighed, reluctantly sitting up. “We should go then. It’s around an hour to walk back so we’ll be cutting it close even if we leave now.”
“Good point. If we get too close I’ll just fly us the rest of the way, though.” Ryoji stretched his arms over his head and hopped to his feet, offering a hand to Minato. He accepted it and was pulled easily to his feet - but stilled as Ryoji suddenly too the opportunity to lean down and press another soft kiss to his lips. It was short, only a lingering moment, but something about it made his throat tight again and he pressed their foreheads together.
They lingered for another minute before reluctantly parting and turning to walk back.
The Dark Hour hit somewhere along the way, but alone on the trails with no coffins or Shadows around it felt distant and unobtrusive. The minutes stretched long and comfortable between them just as Minato had hoped they would, until they finally reached the city and its many coffins again.
They did not manage to sneak back to their room without Mitsuru noticing, but for once she didn’t lecture them. Just gave them a knowing look and told them not to sneak off under the teachers’ supervision. She looked… tired.
But then, most of SEES did after the harrowing few weeks and many revelations and near-fatalities they’d had.
They both reminded each other to rest at the same moment, and Mitsuru laughed softly as her expression lightened. It made something ease in his own chest.
They made it back to their room without further incident - other than Junpei made an excessive show of scanning them up and down as though looking for signs of indecency which made Ryoji wink and laugh and Minato throw a pillow at him - before finally collapsing on a futon and passing out.
He distantly heard Junpei trying to tease them for sharing a futon, but Minato was already falling asleep and Ryoji was more than capable of keeping up with Junpei.
He didn’t see the big deal - they’d technically been sharing a futon or bed for years whenever Death manifested, and Ryoji had basically moved into his room in the dorms by this point. But those two seemed to have fun with it so… whatever.
Minato was just satisfied to have Ryoji’s warmth against him as he fell into sleep.

Much shorter, and more bittersweet than outright angsty than the last one. And very obvious Ryomina rather than implied.
It is still pretty sad though, I know, but that’s unfortunately what happens when you take an angst writer and ask them to try and write fluff.
So it may be obvious by now, but the idea is that this is an everyone lives/no one (on our side) dies route. Ikutsuki, Takaya, and Jin still die, but Shinji (if you want to reference my other fic Numb that’s basically what happens in this route, except add in some flashbacks towards his cousin too), Chidori, and Mitsuru’s father survive because as soon as Minato wakes up with SEES on crosses and Aigis under control he and Thanatos flip out and Ikutsuki ends up with the controller destroyed and himself very very dead.
Evokers might help with Persona evocation, but they aren’t necessary when someone gets in an unstable enough mental state and also has an excessively powerful and autonomous Shadow-turned-Persona in their head. SEES gets a little scared but Thanatos has gone rogue before and never attacked them so…
It’s a whole ordeal but Ikutsuki is the only one that ends up dead, so win?
(The “no one dies” thing does apply to Minato and Ryoji too though so there’s a lot of existential angst here for something that’s not going to happen. Minato and Ryoji are going to pull a Yu and Marie, and Ryoji’s going to absorb Nyx while Minato connects to the Universe and helps him fundamentally change how the draw towards humanity’s death works. Ryoji’s an eventual inevitable heat death situation for humanity somewhere along the line, but that’s so far into the future it’s not even foreseeable so it’s fine.)

The Crash
Team Minato Week
@teamminatoweek
Modern Au
Words: 892
“Come on, Obito,” Rin chuckled, shoving him away from the passenger's side door. “You had shotgun on the way here. It’s my turn.”
Not willing to give up his seat so easily, Obito wrapped his arms around Rin’s waist and lifted her up into the air, the sound of her laughter ringing in his ears like a sweet bell. “Nope,” he drops her down in front of the back seat door. “I called shotgun.”
Her hand comes down against his shoulder. An open-handed slap that is meant to tease rather than hurt. “You always get shotgun,” she continued to argue. ‘Kakashi, tell him it’s my turn for shotgun.”
On the other side of the car, Kakashi rolled his eyes. “I don’t care who has shotgun,” he reminded them, opening the door and climbing into the driver's seat. “I just care that you two get into the car. If you keep arguing we’re going to be late for class.”
“See,” Propping himself up against the car, Obito grinned bright and triumphant. “You wouldn’t want to make us late fighting for shotgun, would you Rin? Then stupid Kakashi’s perfect attendance record will be ruined forever.” something small smacked into his side, pulling his attention to the ground where a wad of paper now sat by his feet. No doubt an assignment Kakashi had crumpled up in annoyance and left on the floor of his car until this moment.
Perfect ammunition to chuck at his friend.
“Fine,” turning her back to him Rin pulled the back door open and crawled in, stopping just long enough to stick her tongue out at Obito. “But I’m kicking your seat.”
A small price to pay for victory.
Two weeks.
Two weeks of his life were gone in the blink of an eye.
One moment he was laughing and reaching back to smack Rin when she kicked the back of his seat, the next…nothing.
He hadn’t even seen the other car coming. None of them had.
One second they were having fun, living free.
The next, their world came crashing down around them.
“You were lucky,” the doctor says softly. A kindness in her voice that Obito doesn’t deserve. “If you had been sitting properly in your seat you would have died.”
Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath. Even after all they had done itto save him the only thing he could feel was never-ending, relentless pain. The damage to his nerves was irreparable, and his arm was gone. Crushed under the weight of the other car.
The worst part was even with all of the pain coursing through his body, he knew he had gotten off lucky. He would walk out of this hospital one day. There was still life ahead of him. Things that he can look forward to even with an arm missing and his body screaming in pain.
Rin didn’t have that. The other car hadn’t spared her.
While he and Kakashi would heal and move on, Rin was gone. She was dead and it was his fault.
“I should have let her have the front,” he dared to speak only when the doctor had left. When it’s just him and the silence of an empty room. His fingers curl into the fabric of his hospital gown, tears dripping down from his face onto the back of his hands. “I should have-”
It should have been him.
Kakashi’s standing in front of him. The only visible sign of damage from their crash is a scare over his damaged left eye, which he quickly hides away behind his hair when he notices Obito staring.
“It’s your fault,” he doesn’t mean it. Even with all of the anger boiling inside of him he knows better than to think something so stupid.
So wrong.
Yet, he can’t help but say it.
Faced with the man he used to call his best friend, after three months of recovering and physical therapy, it’s the only thing he can bring himself to say.
The worst part is That Kakashi doesn’t argue.
He doesn’t make excuses, or try to pin the blame on the other driver even though they both know it was their fault.
It was them who ran the red light. They were the one speeding.
The crash was no one’d fault but theirs, yet Obito stood here pinning the blame on Kakashi.
“I know,” his voice is broken when he finally speaks. Months of anguish and guilt spilling out all at once. “I’m sorry.”
It’s not good enough.
Obito knows it’s meant to relive some of the guilt he feels. Kakashi’s way of trying to ease his pain.
It doesn’t work.
If anything, it just makes Obito angrier.
“You should have-“ he grits his teeth, unable to come up with any solution to what happened. Anything that Kakashi could have done to avoid this whole disaster.
There was nothing.
It wasn’t his fault.
“I’m sorry.” Kakashi whispers once more, bowing his head.
Obito can see the way his friends shoulders shake. He can hear the muffled cries of a broken man trying to make sense of a terrible situation.
It’s not enough.
“Get out out of my face.”
He watches as Kakashi turns away from him without argument. Whatever hopes the two of them had for repairing their friendship were dashed.
They had died alongside Rin.

I’m so tired I keep writing “Shizuma” (Ikushima) as Shinigami or Shitazuma or something, my brain is broken lmao.
Imagining Shizuma looming behind Minato as a floating Death God as Minato keeps writing any girls names in the Death Note if they even look at Shizuma once.

You have a version of the Captain AU where Riku's a Wild Card right? Consider; Koromaru is his Velvet Attendant
I DO YES! And I absolutely ADORE THIS IDEA HELLO??
So the Wildcard AU is a kind of what if Joker accepts Yaldaboth's deal and then Riku is kinda like fuck this imma dip and kill this god dude myself. Originally I was gonna have Elizabeth come back and act as his attendant (the Velvet Room has been sealed up/occupied by Yaldy Dabby Doo) but I really like the idea of Koromaru being the attendant?!!
Like I'm thinking maybe they could both do it so Koro helps out with Elizabeth's fusions by like biting the cards or something idk 💀
But I really like this idea and it slots in really nice to the AU!!!

Honestly, I'm a little confused as to why authors often ignore Kakashi's pain in fanfics when it comes to forgiving Obito. Okay, I'll clarify similarly in a moment.
Very often(sorry, actually always, I can't remember a fic where that wasn't) it's Obito who doesn't forgive Kakashi, it's Obito who insults Kakashi and humiliates Kakashi when Kakashi asks for forgiveness and for Obito to be there for him and live. Or something like that. I've never once seen Kakashi being the one who refuses to forgive Obito for all the shit he's done.
Yeah, it's part of Kakashi's character. In canon, Kakashi was pretty quick to accept the fact that Obito was alive all along and terrorizing the world, setting it up for endless dream and war. But I honestly think it was more due to the fact that Kakashi didn't have time to think and analyze the situation. For Obito didn't give him time to realize.
Yes, Kakashi has a guilt complex the size of Everest. But Kakashi is not Naruto. He doesn't forgive everything and everyone. I'm pretty sure Kakashi cried the first night after the war. Because his childhood friend had killed half of Kakashi's loved ones and was responsible for a huge mess. I want an inner conflict Kakashi who can let go of Obito, he can understand and accept Obito but not forgive. And he won't grovel to Obito to ask for him.
I really want a post war au with Obito alive, where Kakashi doesn't try on Naruto's skin and play forgiveness from the first second. He's been going to this for a very long time, with or without Obito.
Kakashi literally hasn't done a damn thing he should be apologizing for. Rin's death? Really? That's ridiculous. She killed herself using Kakashi. And it was all Madara and Zetsu's plan. I'm 100% sure that if Rin had saved herself at that point, she or Kakashi would have died anyway so that Obito would have gone over to the evil side. That's it, there's nothing there anymore for Obito to be mad at Kakashi about.
On the other side? Dude, that's fucking fucked up. Years of loneliness, the death of Minato and Kushina and Naruto's subsequent isolation, the village destroyed twice, the whole damn Uchiha clan(let's not forget that Itachi is Kakashi's kohai as well as Tenzo, and Sasuke is Kakashi's student/kid and what happened to them is 70% Obito's fault), Asuma(one of Kakashi's close friends), Neji(precious student of Kakashi's best friend), Jiraiya, the goddamn war and much, much, much more. Why the hell do the writers ignore all that when the kakaobi get together? Ignore the fact that Kakashi lost a lot because of Obito? Kakashi should be feeling emotions over this, guilt complex or not.
And Obito should have consequences for his actions, especially when they had the strongest impact on the one and only person most precious in Obito's life.

Konoha had changed. Nobody was sure when the change had started or even when it had gotten that much more apparent, but it hasn’t been the happy hidden leaf it was known to be in a while. If anyone had to pinpoint it, it would probably be after Sarutobi was reinstated as Hokage. The death of Minato Namikaze was no small setback, not when Kakashi had been his beloved student.
When Minato died, Kakashi was broken. The people he knew and loved had finally all left, he had nothing but his fathers shattered legacy to his name, and with his pride, ego and mental health completely damaged, he needed to rebuild it one way or another. And rebuild it he did.
Kakashi noticed how shit the economy was, with missions being more expensive by the day, people to barely afford them. He knew that people needed work done for cheap, he also knew people needed other kinds of work done for cheap. Assassinations, smuggling, money laundering, robbery- you name it Kakashi could get it done. And if not him, one of his trusted accomplices. So what better way to help the people while rebuilding his clan’s reputation than to create his own “community”?
“And what did this mystery client say about payment?” Kakashi asked, twirling a pen between his slender fingers.
“He said he would deliver the other half after it’s been carried out.” Yamato said, reaching into his pocket for a small picture of a man and a younger woman- you. Yamato gave Kakashi the photo, and Kakashi stared at it for a moment. The photo of your terrible father and your kind, innocent, unknowing face. He felt a strange pang in his stomach, a fluttering in his chest as he examined your features.
“No... payment is upfront, it always has been.” Kakashi said monotoned, not looking up from the photo.
“That’s what I told him. However this new client of ours is stubborn. He said the most he would do half up front and half after the bounty was over.”
“Just what is so peculiar about this man in this photo? Why do we need to bring him down? Why should I care about this drama?” Kakashi asked, tearing the photo in half, stuffing the piece with you in his pocket.
“The man in the photo hasn’t been taking any deals with our client. He didn’t tell me much but he’s bad news. The clients run out of options and he really needs for the deal to go through.” Yamato trailed off. Kakashi withdrew the crumpled photo of you from his pocket, then set it on his large wooden table. He tossed the photo of your father down next to it and stared down at the torn photo.
“Well then, Yamato… Go make him an offer he can’t refuse.”
_________________________________
It was late. Far too late, but you knew you needed some fresh air. Air away from your fathers strange deals and brusque demeanor. That was until the world went black and you woke up in a room you didn’t recognize. The walls were high and a dark crimson color, the floor a dark oak and the drapes halfway drawn, the soft pitter-patter of the rain hitting each window had your mind racing. Was it raining when you had left? Was it still the same night? What time was it? Most importantly- where were you?
“She’s awake?” A voice asked curiously. You looked around the dark room, trying to find the source of the question.
“H-Hello?” You called nervously, your breath shaky.
“Good job, idiot.”
“SHH! Both of you!” You froze. Three. Three. Different. Voices, None of which you had recognized.
Suddenly the large door from the other side of the room opened and you nervously hid behind a small blanket covering your waist, laying back down on the bed.
“Shoot!”
“What are you three- GOD DAMMIT YAMATO! I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU TO KEEP THE KIDS OUT OF THIS!” A large voice boomed. You shuddered under the blanket, eyes closed tight in hopes this were a dream and you would wake up anytime soon. But the rain falling against the buildings windows kept you terribly present in the moment.
“I-I’m sorry boss! I don’t know how they got in!” Presumably Yamato had said.
“They should be in bed by now! Just get them out- NOW!” The man yelled. You heard some shuffling along with the three previous voices murmuring something before the large door opened and the light pouring in from the outside of the room had vanished.
Heavy footsteps approached where you lay and you couldn’t stop your shaking. A few tears escaped your tightly shut eyes, silently praying that this wasn’t real. You felt a large hand grab at your ankle, pulling you out from under the blanket. You yelped as you were pulled out of the bed and dragged across the floor, scratching the hard wood in hopes to stop the movement. Tears fell down your face and you let out terrified whimpers, your fate uncertain.
“Would you stop flopping around like some kind of fish out of water?!” The voice asked. You were able to grab a corner of the blanket and pull it close to you.
The hand dropped your ankle and you sat down with your forehead against your knees and the blanket draped over you while you cried into your lap. You heard a heavy sigh and the sound of the man sitting in a chair or sofa. You could see the room around you light up and the sound of a small lamp being switched on.
You gathered enough courage to look up at the seated man infront of you. His legs were man spread wide as his temple rested against his fist, arm propped up on the arm of the leather chair. He was quite handsome, if only you could see more of his face. Still you were scared, and hid behind your legs once again.
“What am I going to do with you?” He asked rhetorically, mostly to himself. You looked helpless seated in front of him, your small cries making him unable to focus on a single train of thought.
“W-Who are y-you?” You asked with a shaky voice, sounding much less intimidating than you had hoped for.
“Do you seriously not know who I am?” He asked, slightly amused. You shook your head and he removed his head from his hand, his hands rubbing up and down his thighs while he sat up.
“My name is of little to no importance to you, seeing the position you’re in.”
“What position- what are you going to do with me?” You asked, unsure if you wanted to know the answer.
“For the next few days you will be in my custody until my client sees fit.”
“Who’s your client?”
“Why would I tell you?” Kakashi asked with a sneer, knowing fully well he wasn’t certain who the client was.
You cried again, feeling your stomach start to go sour with worry.
“Oh Gods…” kakashi huffed, standing up and walking over to you. He grabbed your blanket and threw it to the corner of the room. You gasped, slowly backing away from him. He grabbed you by your collar and brought you to his level, looking you up and down, looking at the real you the same way he would look at your picture.
When you finally gathered the courage to look at him again you realized he was wearing a hidden leaf headband over his eye. Your breath hitched as he made eye contact with you.
“Y-You’re Kakashi of the sharingan…” you said softly. He growled and dropped you, you landed to the floor with a thud and a grunt.
"Great..." He loomed over you, staring down at your frightened position on the ground. He backed away towards the giant door and flipped on a light switch, the room instantly lit up and you looked around.
Not much to write home about. An above average sized room- it looked like a guest room by the lack of furniture and personality. You looked at the single bed you had woken up on previously, a pillow and a sheet lay on top.
"Is this supposed to be my room?" You asked, looking out the rainy window. All you saw in the dark outside was a thick forest. Great.
"Yeah." Kakashi responded curtly.
"Do I get a tour of this place?" Kakashi whipped around, his brow furrowed.
"Were you born yesterday or something, girl? No! No you don't get a fucking tour- for gods sake this isn't a hotel! You're not even going to be leaving this room."
"W-What if I need to go to the bathroom?"
"I'll have someone escort you across the hall." You hung your head, wishing you hadn't even stepped a foot outside for that god forsaken walk. You felt a hand spread across the top of your head, the feeling brought you out of your self pity.
"If you're quiet and you don't cause me or my crew any trouble... I can almost guarantee your safety." His tone was much softer, yet it still held its authoritative and firm presence. You looked up at him, eyes red with sorrow and fear.
"Almost?" His hand left your head, retreating back to his side as he clenched his gloved fist.
"Truth be told, I'm not sure what's in store for you." Your nerves weren't settled, he might as well have not even given you that small moment of hope.
Kakashi watched as you imagined your fate, assuming your father had gotten mixed into the wrong crowd and now your life was at stake. He couldn't take it anymore, for some reason he felt the need to comfort you.
"...Its late... Get up, girl." He said. You slowly got up, the light in your eyes completely dulled. Kakashi came behind you and roughly grabbed your upper arm, leading you to your bed for the next few nights. Or weeks. Months maybe? Years...?
He jostled you over on the side of the bed and you got on top and curled into a fetal position facing away from him. He walked over to where he threw your blanket then picked it up, crushing it into a large ball shape and throwing it at you on the bed. He walked over to the light switch and flipped it off, the small lamp still keeping the room dimly lit.
Kakashi took one last look at you then shut the heavy door behind him. The last thing you heard was the sound of the lock on the outside being locked and a few footsteps retreating down the hall. You grabbed the blanket and threw it over yourself, crying into the only pillow on the bed.
It took you about half an hour to get all your tears out, huffing exasperated breaths under the security of the lone blanket, only to fall asleep as your exhaustion took over.
_______________________________________________
You opened your eyes and saw the silver haired man on top of you, his heavy weight against your body crushing you against the mostly firm mattress.
"Don't be scared..." He spoke low in your ear, his fingers playing with the drawstring of your pajama shorts. Your breath hitched when his hand moved further south, his finger tracing the seam of your shorts down to your crotch, cupping your heat.
Your heart raced, unsure whether or not to trust him. The way his fingers worked, sliding under the leg holes and caressing the bundle of nerves underneath with his finger tips. You whimpered, unable to move under his presence. You held onto his muscular shoulder, your legs parting on their own.
"Good girl..."
_______________________________________________
Kakashi couldn't sleep, he was worried about this deal. What could this client want with your father? Why was he stuck with holding you hostage and who the hell even was this client in the first place? He decided to walk to the kitchen for a late night snack or even a drink to put him to bed. As soon as he left his bedroom he could hear the sounds of your moans from down the hall. He hurried over, an ear pressed to the large wooden door.
"K-Kakashi..." He heard you sleepily moan his name and his eyes widened. He rushed over to his office, pulling open drawer after drawer, digging for your bedroom key. He found it and ran back to the outside of your room. Sticking the key in and quickly- yet quietly- opening your door.
He watched you stir under the covers, gentle whimpers escaping your lips every so often. His blood set a fire to his loins, a tent pitching in his expensive pants. His gloved palm went to his groin, pressing against the hard on growing underneath.
Maybe this is what he needed? Not a drink, not a snack, but an orgasm. He didn't like the idea of getting off to his prisoner, especially not when he wasn't sure if everyone else was asleep. But who cares? Nobody. Not when it's Kakashi who's the man in charge.
He undid his belt, unzipping his zipper and freeing his cock from the confines of his boxers, fingers wrapping around the base of his shaft. With his other hand, he lowered his mask, then let saliva pool in his mouth before slowly letting it fall onto the head of his cock.
His hand slid up his shaft, gathering the warm spit in the palm of his hand and bringing it back down to his base. He sighed, cock gently throbbing in his grasp. It twitched when he heard you moan again, tossing in your sleep. You rolled over, eyes still shut in a deep sleep, yet facing him in the doorway. He put his mask back over his face, then started to speed up with his movements, hips thrusting into his fist when it reached the base of his cock.
You looked so peaceful, gently whimpering in the lonely room, the sounds of kakashis wet thrusts into his hand breaking the silence. Kakashi's glove was covered in his spit and precum, the now glossy leather only increasing the amount of pleasure brought to him. He slid his hand up, finger running along the head of his sensitive dick. He let out a broken grunt, fingertip circling the slit at the top, playing with the sticky precum.
He wondered what your mouth would feel like, how tight the fit would be if he were all the way down your throat. He watched as you let out a slightly louder moan, soft lips parting while he yearned to be between them. With a few more pumps to his thick member, he reached a level of ecstacy he forgot was possible, ropes of cum spilling down his leather clad hand and down onto his expensive pants, unbothered by the mess.
"Shit, shit..." He grunted softly to himself, his grip tightening on its own as the warm liquid kept flowing out. When he had finally finished he had caught himself against the door, hand still around his cock.
Kakashi tucked himself back into the confines of his boxers, zipping back up his black dress pants and buckling his shiny belt. He closed your door back up and locked it, walking back to his room and sitting down on his bed. He dug through his pocket and held the small key to your door in his hand. He looked at it for a while before shoving it under one of his many pillows and getting undressed for bed.

NaruFox AU - Obito and Rin stop by and Kakashi finally introduces introduces his beloved brats.
Prev / Next
This is one of the very first things I drew and never knew where exactly to fit in the story. So more info:
Yay Naruto makes another ‘tailed’ friend! Unlike Naruto, Rin wasn’t born with the 3 tails powers, she awakened them a little after Obito’s “death”, and because of that she travels a lot to the Mist village, where she was trained by Yagura and now works more or less like a diplomat. I don’t want to call them ‘jinchuurikis’ but I don’t have another name... I’ve just been using ‘tailed’ and they should work more or less like the bijuus, each with different numbers of tails and all... There can be mode than one person with the same number of tails - Rare cases like Rin and Yagura - also they don’t have the tailed beasts sealed inside, they are the tailed beasts. On the topic of Obito... It’s that old idea where he comes back to konoha after Madara heals him. Except that everytime he tries to tell the story of how he survived, nobody believes that ‘an old man calling himself the spirit of the Uchihas saved him in the after life and fixed his body with another dead man’s cells!’... I wonder why? And yeah... Kakashi doesn’t know that Naruto is Minato’s son. Rin knows because she was on the team helping with Naruto’s birth, but for various reasons the attack, Minato’s death the 3rd hokage requested secrecy.

Expanding on the Obito-is-smart-actually-he's-just-stupid-around-Kakashi AU from here, because it haunts me and I have many thoughts about it. (Note: while most of that can be interpreted as headcanon, and is an explanation of canon events, this post goes into an actual AU version, where canon events aren't followed, because I am gay and sad and cannot take it anymore.)
Normal Obito has an Actual Plan of things he wants to do when he becomes Hokage, including making sure no one clan can be discriminated against in law, building trade relations with other shinobi nations to create actual lasting alliances not built on war (like Kakashi post-canon lol), and actually doing something about the Hyuuga hierarchy stuff, with the help of Hiashi and Hizashi, who he's already created a sort-of-alliance with.
Obito-around-Kakashi is completely unable to articulate this, and instead ends up blurting out things like "fancy hat" and "people will like me," and looking like an indecisive fool who doesn't know what he's doing. Everyone who's interacted with Obito outside of Kakashi believes he can do it, and would do a good job. Unfortunately, Obito spends A Lot of time around Kakashi, including interacting with Most People, so the number who believe he'd make a good Hokage is... distressingly small.
One would think that, given he was able to function and activate a two-tomoe sharingan when Kakashi wasn't looking, he would be able to dodge the boulder fine while Kakashi was knocked out. Unfortunately, he'd just grabbed Kakashi to throw him out of the way, and without Protecting Kakashi being a direct motivator, holding Kakashi in his arms, even just to throw him out of the way, is enough to make Obito's brain stall completely for long enough to get canon'd.
Rin survives becoming a jinchuuriki because Obito trips and crashes wildly into the clearing when he sees Kakashi, and incidentally he ends up crashing into Rin just before she can jump in front of chidori. Unfortunately, Kakashi sees Obito and gets distracted long enough for an enemy to land a blow, and Obito, intelligence fully impaired by proximity to Kakashi, thinks Kakashi is dead. Mangekyo-activation and nigh-instantaneous death of every enemy shinobi in the vicinity ensues. And then Rin heals Kakashi. Because he's Not Dead.
The combination of passed-out Kakashi and Must-Protect-Precious-People allows Obito to tell Rin that Kushina's a jinchuuriki too (he got suspicious bc of the floating hair, and Kushina humored him when he asked), and her and Minato should be able to do something about the seal of the Sanbi. Needless to say, she's rather happy to stay alive and not have to horrifically traumatize one of her precious people.

team minato modern middle school au where kakashi is the annoying genius who skipped like two grades, rin somehow lives in a hospital (no one's sure which nurse/doctor is her parent but. it's one of them. right? it's gotta be. no way did a bunch of worked-half-to-death medical staff accidentally adopt a baby someone forgot about. definitely one of them is her parent. her birth certificate is around here somewhere i'm sure look i'll get back to you once my shift ends in six hours), and obito is the class clown who lives with his awful anarchist stoner grandpa and calls his house "the cave"
minato is a former student of kakashi's dad's friend and he's their carpool driver bc no way in hell would that man be allowed to teach in real life

How do the other countries react to the Iwa massacre? Does anyone even know about it or do they try to hide the fact that they lost 50% of their ninja force? Does the Akatsuki step in to grant some fun help in exchange for more political clout :)))
LMAO i literally didn't think that far ahead because it's not "canon" to reborn au; it was just me exploring a scenario. but given how i've been characterizing them, iwa would attempt to hide it. but they've lost a shit load on manpower in one go, so people will notice the sudden reduction in missions and them abruptly pulling field agents and stuff like that, and eventually they're going to connect it to the konoha team, especially given tori just straight up told the kiri team what happened to kushina. so i think the rumor mill is INSANE. everyone's reputation goes bananas
i think if tori hadn't told kiri that iwa made a move on kushina, the other nations would freak out because it would kind of look like konoha did something insane to another village for no reason. but i think the rumor mill concluding it was in retaliation to iwa doing something dumb AF would make the other villages feels safer lmao. not safe enough that konoha doesn't get blacklisted from a chunin exams for a few years, but.... meh. what are their clients going to do, NOT hire the village capable of infiltrating and knocking iwa off the map?
there might be a risk of another nation trying to overthrown iwa once it's clear they've been weakened, so ame is paying close attention because they've dubbed themselves the ninja cops. so yes iwa might suddenly find themselves asking for some favors :)

hello! i was wondering if you still wrote for persona 3, could you do general hc's for minako arisato and her s/o that's also in sees?
(Persona 3) Minako's S/O being in S.E.E.S
I sure do! And as a bonus because I miss writing the Arisato's, there's also Twin!AU HC's added (aka both male and fem MC's are present as siblings)
Tumblr media
Minako cares for S/O greatly. She'd do anything to not have them in harm's way, doubly so considering her line of work.
Shadows were a threat to humanity, but it comforted her at least to know S/O wouldn't be affected by the Midnight Hour.
Until one night, they were still in a human form when it the clock struck midnight.
Her heart nearly stopped when S/O used an evoker, and summoned their own Persona.
And following that, they were asked to join SEES, much to her dismay and relief.
On one hand, it meant that she could keep an eye on them without worrying if they would get caught in collateral damage.
But now she had to worry about S/O getting killed by a Shadow.
The greatest threat however had yet to come:
Meeting the rest of the dysfunctional squad that were the other SEES members.
===
(Junpei) "Hey, you're S/O, right! Minako here just won't shut up about you!"
(Yukari) "Please, you'd be doing the exact same thing if you were in her shoes."
(Minako) "I'm right here, you guys!"
(S/O) "Minako's told me a lot about you all as well! It's a pleasure to finally-"
Aigis examined S/O closely, her irises seemingly changing focus.
(S/O) "...U-Uh-"
(Aigis) "Confirmed. S/O will not be an issue to Minako's safety."
Noticing their confused expression, Minako stepped in, clearing her throat loudly.
(Minako) "Ahah...d-don't mind her. She's a robot."
(S/O) "She's a what?!"
===
If S/O ever got hurt during their operations, Minako would not hesitate to tear the Shadow apart, but knew she had to keep her head cool.
She was the leader, and the rest of the team would crumble if they saw her panic.
Fighting against innate instincts, even in the heat of battle, she tries to not let her emotions dictate her actions.
BONUS: Twin!AU
Minato knows that his sister wouldn't choose anyone to be her significant other lightly, so he doesn't bat too much of an eye.
Normally if a person was trying to hit on her, he'd interfere immediately with a death glare.
He's respectful, but doesn't show much emotion around S/O.
---
(Minako) "S/O, this is my baby brother, Minato!"
(Minato) "We were born at the same time-"
(Minako) "I was born a couple seconds earlier, so I'm the eldest!"
(S/O) "Hah, nice to meet you!"
Minato simply nodded, his face and voice remaining deadpan.
(Minako) "Don't worry, he's usually this emo around everyone too!"
(Minato) "And she's usually this annoying every day. Though you already knew that, considering you're with her."
(S/O) "Heh, I sure do!"
Minako pouts at the both of them.
(Minako) "Don't call me annoying! And YOU especially shouldn't be agreeing with him!"
---
Minato eventually lets his walls come down around S/O, showing a bit more emotion whenever his sister isn't in the room.
It's usually a gentle smile or an extremely quiet chuckle, but it's a sign of trust.
If his sister trusts them, then he can too.
In battle, Minato makes sure to watch over them for Minako's sake whenever she can't join the team.
He knows it'll give her peace of mind. It'll also shut her up too.
(Minato) "If you ever need some help, don't be afraid to call for me too."

Blessings | Kakashi Hatake x Reader |
author's note: hello again! this is something i wrote a while back when i finished watching naruto. kakashi is one of my favorite characters and this is the first thing i wrote featuring him, and the only thing i actually finished with him. this story is a little different than what you would probably expect, as this is an AU and kakashi and the reader are the adopted parents of naruto and sasuke. i hope you enjoy this little fluff piece! i also apologize for any spelling and grammar errors!
pairing: kakashi x reader
warnings: modern au, naruto and sasuke are children, brief mentions of death and suicide, brief mention of sex
Tumblr media
A soft sigh broke the silence in the kitchen. Your two boys, Naruto and Sasuke, were in the living room playing together. They were peaceful for now, but you kept an eye on them anyway. It didn't take much for your little ones to start arguing, be it over toys, the tv channel that was playing, or who got to hold mom's hand when they went on family walks. You smiled softly when Naruto hugged his adopted brother, and Sasuke happily returned it, perhaps under the guise that you wouldn't witness the moment. The picture you just took, however, would prove him wrong many years later.
With another sigh, you glance over at the timer on the oven. Fifteen more minutes and the frozen pizza would be ready. It wasn't your intention to serve pizza tonight, and especially not at this hour of eight o'clock at night. But your attempt at ordering Mexican food, a favorite of your dear babies, was foiled by the delivery driver stealing the food but marking it as delivered anyway. You'd have to treat them to it another time, since it would take too long for an attempted redelivery tonight. Maybe when their father returned home from his work trip you could go to the restaurant in person, as a family. And to sweeten the deal further, you'd let them invite one friend each.
Stealing another glance at the boys (it became much too quiet in the two minutes your attention was on your thoughts) you couldn't hide the smile when you saw them settled onto the couch and watching tv. They were four years old now and had been together since they were babies. Naruto's parents, your brother Minato and his wife Kushina, unfortunately passed away on the day of his birth. There had been a crash on the way to the hospital, and neither made it out of that hospital alive. They had asked you to be their precious son's godmother right when they learned of the pregnancy, and while you loathed to have to take the position, and especially so early in Naruto's life, you swore to protect Naruto and give him the life he deserved, the one his parents would've given him if they could.
Your husband had the same duties for your other son. Sasuke was just a few months older than Naruto, and he was placed in your care just weeks before Naruto was. Tragedy struck the young Uchiha in the form of his father getting a life sentence in prison for embezzlement and insider trading just to be able to afford Sasuke's elder brother Itachi's medical treatments. Consoling him on those late nights was no easy task. Even as an infant, he knew the people holding him were not the ones he was used to. His brother died of a rare sickness just one month after Sasuke was born, and his mother was overcome with her postpartum depression and grief. You thanked her in a prayer every morning for calling Kakashi that dreadful night before she ended her life. She didn't have the strength to continue, but she was able to make sure her baby would be safe. Her love as a mother was doubted by those in town, but that phone call was all the evidence that you needed to know she loved Sasuke.
To have two infants on your hands with such short notice wasn't easy (especially as you mourned your brother and saw him every single time you looked at Naruto) and it cost you your job, but Kakashi did as he always did and found a way to make things better. He worked hard to pick up the financial slack and also helped with the boys as soon as he would get home each evening. He was exhausted every night, you knew, but he didn't utter any complaints. He had his duties to those children and to you, his wife. Hatake Kakashi was the greatest man you ever knew.
Pulling yourself away from the tragic happenings of your children, you lit your phone's screen to view any notifications. Aside from a text from Gaara's mother attempting to set up another playdate, you had no messages. It wasn't very surprising, honestly. Kakashi wasn't expected to return home for a few more days, and while he was known to send messages throughout his workday with witty comments about those around him, today hadn't been one of those days. He'd sent a text that morning and called the boys around noon when they tried to refuse a nap (you loved his scary dad voice, admittedly) but other than that he was presumably busy with work and hadn't been able to chat much.
You always missed that man when he was away.
The oven's timer went off, and Naruto bounced up from the couch and rushed to the kitchen, giddy and ready to eat. "Peesha time!" He squealed.
You chuckled softly and scooped him up, setting him on his chair at the table, a little booster seat sitting atop it since he recently was able to graduate from the high chair, but was still just a touch too short and much too wiggly to have total freedom at the table. "Patience, darling."
Naruto pouted and crossed his arms while you removed the hot pizza from the oven, setting it on the stovetop to cool. Sasuke toddled in just after that and he too was swept up and into his own booster seat. He frowned at you, cheeks puffed out and eyes defiant. He simply didn't think he should have to be in the booster; and to his credit, you and Kakashi wouldn't have bothered with it at all if the boy was tall enough. He wasn't full of blossoming, all-consuming energy like his brother and you didn't have to worry about him running away to avoid eating his vegetables. It wasn't like Naruto hadn't tried that before (more like every night) but his fingers were just too clumsy to unlock the simple mechanism keeping him in the seat.
You kissed Sasuke's forehead, compromising with him silently and not latching the booster's belt. His frown vanished and his dark eyes then focused on the pizza on the stove. He could tell by the smell it was his absolute favorite: plain cheese with a crust stuffed full of more cheese.
"Eh!" Naruto whined, giving his own forehead an open-palmed whack.
"Naruto." You chided softly, smiling as you grasped his little hand and gave him a kiss as well. "Be gentle."
Naruto's smile was bright and he smacked his hands on the table as his stomach growled loud enough for you to hear, and even Sasuke's tummy rumbled unhappily. "Food!" The little blond yelled.
"I'm on it, babies!" You moved to cut the pizza and then further cut them into bite size pieces before setting the plates on the table. Sasuke was a neat boy and picked up his little fork to eat with, whereas Naruto used his hands like usual. With a grimace, you resigned yourself to your fate that you could not go even one day without having to bathe Naruto due to his messy eating.
The front door opened up and you frowned, panic striking instantly. But just as soon as it appeared, the fear was dispelled once you caught a glimpse of the supposed intruder. "Kakashi!"
Sasuke gasped and jumped out of his seat, which made Naruto start to yell and complain that he couldn't move to see his father too. "Pa!" Sasuke cooed, jumping into his father's large, outstretched arms. Kakashi stood and kissed his son's cheek, settling him onto his hip and moving to the kitchen before Naruto's tantrum could worsen.
He ruffled his blond boy's hair and leaned down to give him a greeting kiss, standing up straight to finally look at you too. He smiled gently, and you could see how tired he was when you looked into his eyes. "Surprise." He laughed softly, ignoring how Sasuke fiddled with the collar of his cotton t-shirt and then brought his hand to his mouth after Naruto shoved a piece of his pizza into his father's hand.
You smiled and stepped forward for a brief kiss that was interrupted by Sasuke's little hand pushing his dad's face away from his mom's lips. He wasn't much of a fan of sharing his mom's kisses. "Welcome home, my love." You wouldn't bother asking why he was home now until the boys were in bed.
Kakashi smiled and swooped in to steal another kiss, sticking his tongue out at Sasuke after. He set him back onto his chair and you served him his own plate of pizza too before you sat down again. Naruto patted the table in your husband's direction, and Kakashi sighed. "You sure like to cash in on favors early." He murmured with a tiny smile before returning a small bite of pizza to replace the one Naruto had lovingly given him just minutes ago.
Brat. You shook your head softly, but your lips curved up at the ends too.
Dinner was spent with the boys talking Kakashi's ear off about their last three days without him, and your husband was unable to even ask any questions himself between their barrage of talking. Sasuke was your quiet boy for sure, but even he couldn't resist being excited whenever his beloved Pa returned home.
As soon as dinner was finished, Kakashi sprang into action and started the nightly routine, which was officially behind schedule now as the time neared a quarter after nine o'clock. Naruto was bathed rather quickly, not leaving as much playtime as he would prefer, but his lack of protesting was mere proof it was past his bedtime. While you finished up the bath, Kakashi was getting Sasuke into his pajamas and helping him brush his teeth.
You couldn't help the swell of pride in your chest when the boys were finally in bed and listening to their Pa read them a bedtime story. Kakashi was sitting in between their little beds and animating the stories, as he did every time, with his voices and gestures. You had wonderful children, and the perfect man to raise them with alongside you.
You waited at the doorway for Kakashi to finish telling the story, and when he was done you both gave the boys goodnight hugs and kisses. They yawned and curled up in their beds, content settling in them for the night. With a soft click, their door was shut and they were officially down for the count.
Kakashi took your hand and led you to your own bedroom, kissing your knuckles before letting go. "Rest of the trip was cancelled." He explained simply, with a yawn he tried to hide in his elbow. "Bad weather coming."
"Not to be happy about work being disrupted but..." You cupped his face and smiled up at him, thumb brushing over his beauty mark. "I am glad you're home."
His strong arms wrapped around you and pulled you close, and he laid his head on top of yours. "Me too. It's far too quiet on those trips; I can't function without Naruto's yelling."
You laughed and stood there for a while, just taking the time to relax and ease your minds. Time alone was scarce ever since the boys came into your care. Moments like these were sometimes all you could steal together. It wasn't until Kakashi started to lose his balance that you let go and moved away.
"Uh-uh, you are not falling asleep standing up again."
Your husband merely whined just like your sons would, first pulling off his shirt and pants, then flopping onto the bed face first, his arms stretched out with a happy sigh. He loved this bed, and loathed the ones in the hotels he had to sleep in during various business trips. "I should work from home..." He yawned into his pillow.
"You don't think it would drive you crazy?" You hummed, slipping into a nightgown before you approached the bed. You pressed one hand to the bare, warm skin of his toned back before lifting one knee onto the bed and crawling forward.
"You manage just fine."
You couldn't help but laugh. "I think you've forgotten your boys aren't in school yet."
"Why are they my boys when they're misbehaving and mischievous, but they're all yours when they're sweet and loving?" Kakashi deadpanned.
You kissed his shoulder blade and started to gently work some of the tension from his back. "Because they learned it from you."
All Kakashi could manage was an offended scoff. Silence fell between you and your husband, comfortably, as you massaged him. Several pleased groans escaped his lips and you felt him relax beneath you with each moment that passed.
"Tried to treat the boys with Mexican tonight." You muttered. "Driver stole the food. Had to improvise."
Kakashi hummed, accepting the reason why bedtime was late. Not that it mattered that much to him; on the rare occasion that you were the one out of town, he let the boys stay up until they fell asleep on their own. Of course, you weren't exactly aware of that tidbit of his parenting. "We'll make it up to them soon."
"Karura wants to set up a playdate soon for the boys and Gaara."
"I'm sure Sakura is itching to come play with Sasuke soon too." Kakashi mumbled, his eyes closed and body fully relaxed. "God, look at us..."
You chuckled softly. "To think we'd be parents." You murmured quietly. "We went from nice furniture and plenty of money to this in the blink of an eye."
Kakashi hummed, not committing himself any further into the conversation. He loved every bit of his life; nobody could ever say he didn't. The same went for you. Those boys would have to be pried from your cold, dead hands.
But admittedly, it'd be nice to freely have sex again. A benefit to being in a neighborhood with so many children the same age was the playdates and sleepovers. He'd be pawning the boys off for a night as soon as possible; god, he couldn't wait for them to start school.
You bit back a yawn in an attempt to hide it, but unfortunately your husband was more perceptive than you gave his current condition credit for. "I'm plenty comfy, honey. Lay down with me."
Kakashi turned the lights off while you settled in, then came around to envelop his warm, muscled body around yours. One large hand rubbed your belly absentmindedly, the other hand moving to tilt your chin up for a gentle kiss. You maintained the contact until the awkwardness of the position started to strain your neck, breaking the kiss after and settling back in as you were.
Your husband's lips had kept busy, scattering small kisses along your shoulder and neck for a few moments more. He gave you a final squeeze and adjusted your body slightly, so your rear was pressed just to his groin area. In that way, your bodies fit together just right, like puzzle pieces.
Kakashi pressed a kiss to the shell of your ear. "I love you."
"I love you too."
He nuzzled his face in your hair. You clasped your fingers with the ones he had against your stomach, humming lightly. Just as you were about to succumb to sleep, little feet were padding against the hardwood floors of the hall, and with a considerable effort, your bedroom door was opened up. Kakashi held back his tired sigh and sat up to see his two boys standing at the door.
"Pa." Naruto whimpered, leading the charge to the king-sized bed. Sasuke followed closely behind him after closing the door back, Kakashi lifting them both into bed with you.
"What's wrong?" He asked, wiping at his eyes.
"Scary noise." Naruto was on the verge of tears at this point. You turned on your other side to face them and pulled the toddler into your arms, pressing a soft kiss into his blond hair.
"Probably the tree." Kakashi mumbled. There was a branch that would sometimes tap against the boy's bedroom window if it got windy enough. He just hadn't had any time to prune it lately.
He moved Sasuke to lay beside Naruto, pulling the comforter back over everyone. Sasuke snuggled deeply into Kakashi's chest once he laid back down. In the darkness, his eyes found yours as the boys quickly fell back asleep, now safe and sound with their parents.
"One day we'll get our bed back." He laughed softly.
"I'm in no rush." You murmured, cupping his face briefly. "Just as soon as the day comes that we get the bed back is the day that the boys will be too independent for Momma and Pa's bed."
Kakashi turned his head to kiss your palm before you settled it on Sasuke's tummy. He gently grasped Naruto's little hand with his finger and thumb, smiling when the boy instinctively closed his tiny fingers around his Pa's one big one. "You're right. As always."
You laughed softly and nuzzled Naruto gently while Kakashi gave Sasuke a few soft kisses on his rather chubby cheeks. All these boys were yours to love and love you in return. You would definitely savor each and every moment you had with them. As you learned four years ago: life was too fleeting to not appreciate everything you had. For the kid's sake, for you and Kakashi, for the four parents that wouldn't get to see their sons grow up, you would count your blessings and savor it all.

Decaying Godhood (Persona AU)
I've been rambling and throwing ideas for this AU for a good bit now, here's a much more cohesive post about it!
Shoutout to @the-squeege and @artekai for discussing ideas with me, it was super helpful o(*°▽°*)o
Spoiler warning for P3, P4, P5/P5R, P5S, and P5T!
So let’s meet the main characters and their arcana!
Nyx (Tower)
Ryoji (Death)
Izanami (Empress)
Izanagi (Emperor)
Yaldabaoth (Devil)
Satanael (Justice)
Emma (High Priestess)
Salmael (Lovers)
Azathoth (Hermit)
Adam (Strength)
I’m omitting Pandora, Nyarlathotep, Clockwork God, and Enlil since I haven’t played the games they’re from… I don’t know enough about them to include them properly.
I’m scrapping the usual typings and giving (almost) everyone new typings… mostly because I have no idea who I’d apply fire, wind, etc to, none of these guys scream any particular element. I’m still working out the typings but what I know for sure so far are the “typeless” ones:
Adam: Strictly physical attacks
Azathoth: He is strictly a healer in this, and has no offensive attacks
EMMA: Navigator, can occasionally use almighty attacks
I’m leaning toward making their typings relating to humans, somehow.
As for the plot, at least a quick summary of what I’m thinking so far… all of humanity has come to a standstill. As in, time has stopped progressing for them. However, effects of leaving a living thing out to the elements are still occurring. In other words, humans are kind of just rotting away. It’s a very slow, magic mixed with organic decay kind of process that’s going on here. The appearance of this rot becomes more and more obvious as our group of unlikely heroes progress.
The gods, with the exceptions of Nyx, Thanatos, and Izanagi are dead, so how does this work? For this AU, none of the final bosses really die… their physical forms are abolished and their concepts are left to wander a nothingness, endlessly reflecting on what they’ve done. For Adam’s case, he stuck with Maruki until he died, then he took on a human form and lived among people for many years. Now would be a good time to mention that this takes place years after the events of P5S, so any human characters are long gone.
Let’s start from the beginning of the AU. It focuses on Nyx, Ryoji, and both P3 protagonists. These four are kind of just in a white void. Ryoji is able to move freely, he can see, he could leave too, but doesn’t want to leave Minato and Minako. They’re depicted as statue-ish figures, with a few features a deity would have. Their positions after the events of P3 caused them to go from humans to some sort of gods themselves. They are still mostly human though, this is important for the start of the plot.
Nyx’s sealing is visualized here as having been chained to these two. Until now, she couldn’t move, she was paralyzed along with having actual restraints. Therefore she couldn’t see, her eyes were forced shut. She couldn’t speak either. She could hear though, and the only thing she could do was listen to Ryoji speak to Minato and Minako. Some days, he’d talk to them as if they were still around. Other times, she could hear him mourn. Initially, she didn’t understand it at all. Sure, that’s her kid, and she cared about him somewhat, but she didn’t understand why he’d cry about them so much. There’d be times too, where Ryoji would talk to her, usually it would be him saying he wishes she could understand humans like he did, or sometimes he’d yell at her. Over the course of years and years, Nyx comes to understand Ryoji’s feelings… somewhat, anyway.
This brings me back to the chains she has. Now, all of the sudden, she can see and move again. And these chains, which were once really short, are now much longer, allowing Nyx to walk pretty far from them. This happening is meant to show Minato and Minako’s humanity being affected by the Rot, which is causing them to lose their grip on Nyx.
Upon hearing some movement, Ryoji is quick to become aggressive, but Nyx is still disoriented from suddenly being able to see and speak again, so she doesn’t return any hostility. You can imagine the arguing taking place as they try to figure out what’s happening. After a while, they realize they are able to see into the human realm. That’s when they notice the state of humanity.
Of course, they don’t notice the Rot yet. These two are the first to venture into the human realm to investigate what is going on. It’s mostly Ryoji that wants to figure things out, he takes Nyx with him to keep an eye on her.
This brings me to the motivations of each of the characters… Ryoji going out of his way to help humans makes sense. He did live as one, and made a lot of friends who he cared a lot for. For others, they hate humanity (cough Yaldabaoth), so why’re they here? Simply put, after humans rot away, the realm of gods is next. Also worth mentioning, everyone now has a humanoid form (if they didn’t have one already), so this is something of a second chance for these guys too.
I’ll go through each character:
Nyx: After spending years only listening to Ryoji talk to the twins and voice his affections for humanity, she gains a better understanding of them and obtains a sense of self (much like how Thanatos/Death became Ryoji during P3). She feels like she owes it to Ryoji to help him now.
Izanami and Izanagi: After the events of P4, these two really didn’t feel like doing anything else… Izanami was unable to do much anyway. They are later dragged out of the realm of nothingness they were hanging out in. Izanagi’s time with Yu makes him far more inclined to help out, Izanami is a little heartbroken that after the Investigation Team proved humanity’s worth, they fell into this state.
Satanael: He ditches the Phantom Thieves after Yaldabaoth is taken care of, and left to go cause minor bouts of chaos, nothing too drastic. He doesn’t outright try to end humanity, he just likes “poking fun”, so when everything comes to a standstill, he’s alarmed. Satanael is more neutral compared to everyone else, he does care about mankind, not to the extent that Ryoji and Azathoth do, though. He doesn’t hate them either, so he (probably) helps them for a selfless reason.
Yaldabaoth: For sure is only saving humanity so he also doesn’t rot away. Perhaps by the end, he’s changed a bit, but now that he’s given a physical form again, who knows what he’ll get up to.
EMMA: Upon being defeated, she spent her time watching over Sophia and Ichinose. She chooses to help humanity because of how well the PTs treated Sophia.
Salmael: Toshiro’s anxiousness rubbed off on him a bit… As the god of stagnation, this halt in humanity seems like it’s his doing, but it isn’t. He ventures out thinking that he somehow accidentally did it, and is horrified by the Rot..
Azathoth and Adam: These two genuinely care for humanity, their motivations are completely selfless. While Azathoth can suspend his emotions, Adam spent more time with Maruki, living as a human for years, so he’s much more emotional over the whole situation.
None of these guys are able to have Personas, but are able to “summon” their deity forms as an extension of themselves (so there’s a split-consciousness situation happening). Awakenings are still required for them to be able to do this, though, similar to Persona awakenings.
This ability requires one to first of all realize that their status and power as a god is due to humanity’s perception of them, but then they also must accept that. Only then they can “break free” of their restricted humanoid forms to use their more powerful forms. These forms look similar to their in-game designs, but there’ll be some differences, as I want to give them fun new(ish) designs…
Acquiring this ability is much easier for some than others… Ryoji and Adam as an example, are really quick to accept this once they understand the idea initially, but then a few others refuse to accept that humans are responsible for their power.
As for enemies, Shadows are present due to humans being unable to pass properly. For major bosses, the Rot left some human bodies as empty husks that became aggressive. These husks are attracted to the power the gods have.
Some side characters I also want to include… Jose and Sophia run the shop that provides weapons and other equipment! There’s also the Velvet Room that has specifics I’m trying to figure out… I might make Yu and Ren the attendants.
I think that’s all I have for now! I’d still like to figure out the order in which each god joins the team… It starts with Ryoji and Nyx, Salmael probably second since he’s already out investigating (he can be the navigator before Emma joins), then it’s either Adam since he’s also around, or Emma. This is still a wip! So if anyone has any comments or anything, feel free to send an ask! I'm already doing some doodles for this so hopefully I'll have some art for it soon (❁´◡`❁)

Okay so in a couple fics I’ve read there has been mentions of Danzo telling Kushina and Minato’s friends that Naruto died and I had a thought
He probably couldn’t get away with telling those in village that Naruto died but he could tell those out of village (that coincidentally are the ones who could possibly convince Hirizen that keeping Naruto away from his family is a Bad Idea™️) that he died
So imagine with me
Jiriaya is in the village for the first time since his precious student and his family’s death
He’s going to talk to Hirizen for some reason or another only to get barreled into by a tiny, clearly underweight, chibi Minato
And now Jiriaya is smart, he’s a spy master and Konoha’s only fuuinjutsu specialist after all, but we all know that man is an idiot when it comes to emotions
So when confronted with the fact that his godson is in fact Not Dead, he does the only reasonable thing
He takes the kid and bolts
Because Jiriaya is smart, smart enough to see that something is obviously Very Wrong™️ and Hirizen isn’t Doing Anything
He wonders if Tsunade is up for doing a check up and possibly helping him co parent the kid his totally Didn’t Kidnap™️ he’s the godfather after all
(I like to shit on Jiriaya as much as the next person but sometime I like aus where he’s a good godfather for once and the idea of Tsunade and Jiriaya scrambling to try and raise a kid they thought was dead is hilarious to me)
okay yeah this could be wildly chaotic and fun
Jiraiya panics, grabs Naruto and bolts and the first place he runs is Tsunade of course. Somewhere along the way those two end up running into Orochimaru who decides to say fuck it and join them for whatever reason.
The most chaotic family ever attempting to raise Naruto with 3 parents who are all their own version of crazy
