Read on AO3. Words: 4251 Summary: Cochlea again. The board begins to reveal itself. Chapter 14 Chapter 16 Master Post
Haise left his and Hideâs apartment at midnight.
âNone of these people worked in the Washuu Task Force. Like they were off-limits or something.â
He exited the final train from the 12th ward to the 23rd, taking a deep breath to psyche himself up.
âAnd each irregular victim⊠opposed the Washuu family in some way.â
He wrung his hands as he navigated the dark alley once again. Nothing happened, but the fear of the unknown clung to his brain like a tumor, whispering terrible falsities and sapping his confidence with each step in the shadows.
âSome were part of a different political party, others voted against this bill or that⊠The list goes on.â
Two in the morning, late autumn. Cochlea. Again.
He stood inches away from the gated fence, feeling a little chillier than the last time he was here. Funnily enough, heâd arrived first again.
The distant sounds of cars rushing down the streets made him flinch, and the occasional flicker of a light tricked Haise into thinking someone else was there. Fictional horror was one thing, but the real deal? He would rather not.
And yet he and Hide could very well be sitting on one of the largest conspiracies in recent times. The Washuu Task Force, working with the likes of Donato Porpora? If the Priest himself was in on it, then who else could be in their circle?
He looked past the fence and at the square towers making up the prison, at the possibility of answers.
Sen had to already know. It only made perfect sense; the reason she didnât have anything on her record was because the Washuu Task Force deemed it so. And if they were working with Donato, then it followed that he had to play by their rules, no matter what. Even if it meant Cochlea for life. After all, one man against an entire organization? Laughable, from all angles.
Haise considered jumping the fence early and entering the visitorsâ center to get shelter from the cold. He could always text her, right? Right. Plan in place, he fished out his phone, found her name in his contacts, andâ
âBreaking into a high security prison all by yourself, handsome?â
He looked up, and smiled; there, leaning against the corner of the alleyway, was the woman of the hour.
Another outing, another hairstyle: two thick braids, messy and tangled, on either side of her head, tied at the end with pink ribbons. She wore a matching scarf decorated with a tiger lily pattern, a striped blue sweater over a purple shirt, and her favorite choice of black skirt, tights, and flats.
âWell?â Sen stepped further into the light, presenting herself further. âWhat do you think?â
He let himself admire her for a bit longer before he responded. âDo I have to say?â
âYes.â She smiled. âI like hearing you say it.â
He couldnât help but chuckle; who was he to deny her? He said the same thing he always said: âBeautiful.â
It was a word often used to describe her, but it was too often spoken by shallow tongues that hadnât bothered to understand why. Some may have read her books, but they were just that to them: books. Selfish entertainment with little else to offer.
So when he called Sen beautiful, and when she preened, Haiseâs chest swelled with pride. However, her hunger wasnât sated yet. âHow?â she asked, stepping closer.
Her scarf was within reach, and he threaded the ends through his fingers. It was a soft material, and he appreciated the pattern. âLike a pink sunrise, greeting a field of flowers.â
Now her body was pressed against his. âAnd what else?â
His other hand trailed over her arm, brushing her sweater. âThe ocean, its waves calmly lapping against the shore.â
A hum as she thumbed his hand. âSo Iâm a field of flowers, blooming by the oceanside as the sun rises.â
He kissed her knuckle. âAnd more.â
Now she giggled. âCharmer.â
Despite that, how he wished his description did her justice. No amount of flowers or fields or views could truly describe what he thought of her, even if she basked in them.
In the distance, a car streaked against the asphalt, jolting him back to reality. âW-We should get inside!â
She pouted as Haise scaled the fence, but said nothing in protest. After he landed on the other side, he expected her to drop next to him. However, when he glanced up, he saw her perched at the apex instead, her legs dangling over the edge with a mischievous grin on her face.
âSenâŠâ he said, trying to sound threatening.
Unfortunately, he was apparently as scary to Sen as a small poodle. To add insult to injury, she only seemed encouraged by his feeble resistance. âOh, donât be such a killjoy.â
âWeâre not doing this; you could get hurt!â Haiseâs gaze darted about the lot. âPlus, we could get caught!â
âWhat if I say âpleaseâ?â
He ground his teeth together. The compliments were one thingâ they had been on the other, safe side of the fenceâ but this was too much. âSen, Iâm serious.â
âPretty please?â She tilted her head until it was almost parallel to the fence. âWith chocolate sprinkles and a cherry on top?â
That sounded way too sweet, but she made her stance clear: she was going to drag this out. She was going to drag this out, and wait until he caved, or until he convinced her otherwise. Right here, right now, in Cochlea. Where anyone could see him, where anyone could see her. She was risking her entire reputation for what amounted to a stupid joke.
Haise looked at her again. She had thrown her head back, taking in the night sky and smelling the air. Her two braids slipped over her shoulders, fully exposing her neck to the light of the streetlamp, the stars, and a crescent moon. A slight breeze pushed her skirt against one of her legs, and she let it affect her ever so slightly.
âWowâŠâ The word fell out of his mouth before he could stop himself.
âHm?â She glanced back down, all traces of mischief replaced with curiosity. âWhat was that?â
He blinked, then chuckled. âNothing.â He held out his arms, folding like paper. âReady.â
Sen turned brighter than the stars. âYay!â
In one swift motion, she tossed herself off the fence and landed safely in his grasp, bridal style. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled into it.
âSee? Totally safe.â The warmth of her breath brushed his skin.
He let out a high noise resembling a laugh.Â
She craned her neck to kiss him. He indulged in the pressure of contact briefly, and in any other situation, he might have leaned in further, felt closer to her. However, the nearest light flickered off for a split second, and a distant car zoomed past, making him jolt back.
âC-Câmon,â he said. âBig Binâs waiting for us.â
âAwâŠâ Sen pouted again.
âI-I just donât want us getting caught!â Haise put her down as gently as he could, then walked toward the visitorsâ center.
âWhy?â She stayed in his vision, grinning. âBecause itâs âwrongâ?â
âN-No!â
âBecause itâs against social customs to flirt in a prison lot?â
âWell, uhââ
âOh, I get it. Itâs not about the law; you just donât like getting in trouble.â A giggle. âYouâd do all sorts of messed up things if it meant you didnât have to face the consequences.â
As she said that, she slyly traced the shape of his back, lingering on the base of his spine.
âI-I donât know what you mean,â Haise stuttered, even as a few scenarios cropped up in his mind like weeds.
Her hand slithered into his grasp. âWe can alwaysââ she yanked him down to her height and whispered into his earâ âexperiment, if youâd like.â
Images of blindfolds, shower walls, and a concerning amount of rope flashed across his mind, and he would have spit out his drink if he had one. âI-Iâm good!â he forced himself to squeak.
âPity.â Sen punched in the code on the keypad, and she let them both in. âIâve been wondering what sorts of twisted things youâve been hiding from me, you know. Youâre a horror artist, yet youâre so⊠demure. Surely thereâs something Iâm missingâŠâ
He felt his palms grow sweaty as the earlier images became clearer. âO-One of us has to be, right? We balance each other out!â
âDo we now? Donât you think thereâs a bit of overlap?â She went ahead and ducked under a pipe, hands clasped behind her back. âYou know, I distinctly remember a quote from JungâŠâ
ââTh-The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances.ââ Despite himself, Haise recited the quote from memory. ââIf there is any reaction, both are transformed.ââ
âExactly!â She held open the door for him. âIâm curious what sort of monstrous influence Iâve exerted on you.â
He paused. âYouâre not a monster, Sen.â
She gave him a quizzical look as he put his palm above her head, holding the door in her stead. âYouâre just saying that.â
âThat⊠doesnât make it less true.â He frowned.
For a moment, she held his gaze, then shook her head. âYou have quite the twisted perspective, Mr. Sasaki, you know that?â
He sighed, but he was smiling. âI am a horror artist.â
She tutted, even as she squeezed his hand. He wondered if that was because of his influence on her. There was this spark of joy to her that wasnât there before. It was hard to believe he could have such an effect, but the facts were staring him in the face.
As they walked down the last hall, Haise figured heâd mention something to her now. âHey, Sen?â
âWhatâs up, Haise?â
âThis weekend, thereâs gonna be a get-together for my, uh, my friend.â Hide had organized it between their file hunt and tonight with Kimi and Nishiki.
She plucked something off Haiseâs shoulder, seemingly uninterested. âSounds nice.â
He felt the urge to explain. âH-Her sisterâs the one that died recently. Torsoâs latest victim.â
âAh⊠Wait.â She stopped in her tracks and looked at him. âNashiro Yasuhisa?â
He nodded.
There was another pause. âSmall world, then. I didnât think you knew a Yasuhisa, of all people. Strange.â
Haise thought about it. He supposed it was a little strange. The Yasuhisas, once upon a time, were extremely rich and influential, and he, most certainly, was not. âA-Anyway, I was hoping you would come with me. As support?â
Sen raised her brow. âNot exactly a resort vacation, is it?â
He chuckled. What nostalgic territory. One of them, inviting the other to meet their friends, during a Cochlea visit. âW-Well, I mean, I donât want to force you to meet my friends, especially under the, uh, the shadow of death, haha!â He cleared his throat. âForget I asked. You donât have to come if you donât want to. Sorry.â
âHey, I didnât say no!â She elbowed him gently. âIâd be happy to go. Honestly, itâs a bit overdue.â
âI guess so.â He rubbed his neck. âThanksâŠâ
Big Bin was at the desk, scribbling something on a piece of paper when they approached. He looked up and grinned. âWell, well, well, if it isnât my two favorite lovebirds.â
Haise and Sen flushed the shade of red. Despite her earlier teasing, it looked like she was still embarrassed when it came to her friends.
âOh, you even look the same; thatâs adorable.â Big Bin chuckled.
âYes, yes, weâre a circus and youâre the audience. Incredible, whoopee.â Sen waved him off. âIs everything ready?â
Big Bin typed something on the nearby computer. âYes, maâam. One visit to Shachi, coming right up.â
ââShachiâ?â Haise couldnât help but ask.
Big Bin raised a brow. âSen, you gotta stop keeping your boyfriend out of the loop with this.â
âUgh, but not knowing is half the fun!â she whined. âIt gives a mysterious allure to it, donât you agree, Haise?â
Haise scratched his cheek. âYeah, a bitâŠâ
Big Bin let out a mirthful sigh. âA match made in heaven. Anyways, his real nameâs Matasaka Kamishiro.â
As with all Cochlea visits thus far, Haise blanched. âK-KamishiroâŠ?â
âYou know him?â Sen turned.
It⊠No, it couldnât be. That was way too much of a coincidence. âI-Iâm sure itâs not the sameâŠâ he said, more to convince himself than anything. âI knowâ knew a Kamishiro, but, erâŠâ
âLots of people under Shachi took the Kamishiro name at his behest,â Big Bin said. âHe was imprisoned for housing illegal immigrants, you see, and he let them use his surname in order to start securing permanent citizenships. Rumor has it that he did the same, and that âKamishiroâ isnât even his real name.â
âI-I seeâŠâ If that was true, then who in the world had approached him in Anteiku all those years ago? âThat, uh, that would be somethingâŠâ
Sen was studying his expression, but instead of saying something like she usually did, she nudged him out of it by linking their arms. âWe shouldnât overstay our welcome. Come on.â
However, it was a short-lived oddity. As soon as Big Bin pointed them in the right direction and they were alone, she stepped in front of him.
âYou okay?â she asked, those jade irises of hers scanning Haiseâs face.
He cupped his chin, rubbing the area. âY-Yeah, Iâm fineâŠâ
She grabbed his wrist with a huff, waggling it in front of him. âHas anyone ever told you youâre a terrible liar?â
He blinked and shook his head.
âWell, you are, so talk to me.â She gripped either one of his arms, setting him straight. âShachiâs not as cruel as Donato, but Iâd prefer it if you were put together before we meet him.â
Haise pursed his lips, and relented. âItâs⊠about the Kamishiro I knewâ I know.â
âI figured as much.â Because Sen was amazing like that.
âHer name was Rize,â he continued. âIt was a few days after The Black Goatâs Egg released, and I⊠Iâd always been, umâŠâ
He trailed off. Should he really be talking about his ex in front of his new girlfriend? That felt super wrong, not to mention insensitive.Â
âYou were into her,â Sen finished for him. âSo, at the resort, when you pushed me⊠That was because of her?â
He bit his lip, and nodded slowly. âYes. It was. She⊠disappeared four years ago. Just left me. Andâ And I remember, when it happened, wondering if, despite everything she did to me, if it was my fault.â
Sen didnât say anythingâ she simply stood on her tippy toes, pressed her lips against his, then embraced him. At the end of the day, she was a woman of action, and speech was a waste of time.
Not only that, but he knew that she understood what it was like to be left. To be like a toy abandoned by a child who had outgrown them, or worse, had grown bored of them. It wasnât the fact that they left; it was the crushing loneliness and darkness immediately following that stuck out the most. The creation of a new void in your heart that would never go away, no matter what was filled in its place.
âCome on,â she said, pulling Haise down the hall.
But the spectacle could certainly be beautiful.
â
âYou know, Shachi used to work at the Furuta Corporation.â Sen filled the air with trivia. âHe was pretty up there until he was caught.â
âThatâs⊠u-unfortunate.â Haise couldnât really think of another word.
âNot really. In his attempt to retain both his standing in a greedy corporation and the respect heâd gained by bypassing laws, he ended up losing both.â She shrugged. âWhen you plant a sapling in a forest, itâll never get the sun it needs to flourish. Better to place it on the outside.â
That was certainly one way of looking at it. Double agents had to perform a balancing act between their opposing factions, and to lose one would be to lose the other. Not only that, but there was always a secret dividing them from their fellows, keeping them from forming truly meaningful relationships. Stillâ
âIf he was⊠âup thereâ, then wouldnât his access to otherwise restricted content help?â If Haise remembered correctly, the Furuta Corporation was an airway company. If Shachi played his cards right, he could smuggle people using their planes. In fact, in some respects, his standing might even be necessary for success.
âTrue, but does it attack the root problem of illegal immigration in the first place?â Sen countered. âThink big: Does it help solve why people feel the need to cross the border illegally? Does it improve their chances at a stable life wherever they go?â
Haise offered no rebuttal, letting her continue.
âManipulating systems in order to achieve the opposite has its place, but it isnât a sustainable model; there will always be a breaking point, and people will always get caught one way or another.â
They rounded a corner.
âShachi was first discovered about six years ago with a handful of illegals, some of them high-profile criminals in their home countries. Do you know how quickly he was caught after attempting to go into hiding?â
Haise shook his head.
âTwo weeks.â They arrived at the door. âMeanwhile, the Torsoâs run rampant for ten years. Strange, huh?â
âStrangeâŠâ he repeated.
Very strange, actually. Was Shachi just terrible at hiding? No, he had to have known the risks of being caught. He would have had reserve funds, as well as loyal allies who could help him, when the going got rough. Yet the Task Force captured, detained, and imprisoned him.
How?
Sen gripped the door handle. âReady, Haise?â
He gulped. âReadyâŠâ
Giving his hand a squeeze, she opened the door.
The first thing Haise noticed, even from a distance, was just how large Shachi was. He was a mountain towering over his and Senâs hills, with rippling muscles and a full beard reaching his diaphragm. And that was when he was sitting down.
What in the world did a Cochlea inmate like him eat?
âHi, Shachi!â Sen waved as if she were greeting an old friend and not a man who could probably break her like a toothpick. âThanks for letting us see you tonight.â
âSen,â he said in a deep and powerful voice. It made Haise want to shrink into his shirt. âWho is the boy?â
âThis is Haise Sasaki, myââ she paused to think of a wordâ âpartner.â
Haise appreciated the double meaning. He would rather not be redder than a tomato in front of a life-sentenced inmate, even if said inmate wasnât another serial killer.
âWeâre writing a story together, you see, and are looking for some last-minute primary sources, namelyââ Sen slid into her seat and pulled out her notebook and penâ âyou.â
âHm.â Shachiâs gaze fell onto Haise.
Haise bowed his head slightly. âItâs, um⊠nice to meet you, Mr. Kamiâ Mr. ShachiâŠâ
Shachi scrutinized Haise, raising the hairs at the back of Haiseâs neck. It was like being analyzed beneath a microscope, where every single movement, down to his breathing, was observed and recorded for an unknowable purpose.
âAnd what will you do with the information I give you?â Shachi asked.
A smile slowly stretched across Senâs face. âDo you enjoy prison life, Shachi? From what the Priest told me, itâs two meals and an hour of exercise every day. Sounds tedious and restricting, if you ask me. Iâd go crazy, personally.â
His eyes narrowed, and Haise swallowed.
âNothing to say for yourself? The Task Force must be so proud of themselves, cowing the great OrcaâŠâ She tapped her pen against her knee with her chin in her hand. âYou were quite the stubborn one back in your heyday, as I was told. Struggling against your ever-oppressive fellows and being thwarted at every turn! Yet you dug your heels in for such a valiant cause, and at the end of it all⊠changed absolutely nothing!â
âEr, Sen, shouldnât weââ Haise tried to intervene. She was getting too personal with this. And off-track.
She cut him off. âThe only change you were able to effect was when you decided to operate outside of those systems. When you abandoned the structure and worked on your own terms, your own choices, your actions bore fruit.â
âS-SenâŠ!â Haise tried again, but she didnât even seem to hear him.
Shachi simply folded his arms. âSo your goal is reformation, then.â
She snickered. âWould that I were so noble and shrewd, Mr. Kamishiro! Iâm an author of horror and tragedy, unfortunatelyâ my specialty is destruction, not creation. Iâm simply a harbinger of the chaos thatâs gone ignored at the door for far too long.â
Now Haise was just lost. âUm, what are you talking about, Sen?â
Shachiâs eyes narrowed again. âYou brought the boy here and told him nothing?â
Another secret. Considering where they were, Haise couldnât blame her. Sen was just a woman of many secrets, and those secrets were uniquely dangerous. She wouldnât reveal them to just anyone.
âIâd rather he hear it from a primary source,â she explained.
Shachi paused, then gave her an amused look. âRather unlike you, Sen.â
She rolled her eyes, slightly pink. âI guess.â
The mountain of a man chuckled. The sound reverberated about the room like a small tremor. âSo you trust him.â
Sen took a breath, then gripped Haiseâs hand, making him flinch. âI do,â she said.
The sight made the manâs lip curl upward, and his hardened gaze turned soft, almost like velvet. âI see.â He took a deep breath, exhaling through his nostrils. âRegardlessâ boy.â
âY-Yes?â Haise looked up.
âYou may have come this far, but it is difficult to turn from knowledge once one has obtained it.â Shachiâs intimidating aura settled in again. âTo learn is to risk your view of the world. To change it irrevocably, and possibly endanger you. Are you prepared?â
To ask such a question was⊠almost ridiculous, frankly. Haise had broken into Cochlea twice, and even disregarding that, he had also obtained classified criminal files and knew people who were able to get such things within hours of asking. His view of the world had already been compromised; whatever awaited him could hardly be worse.
And⊠he had a feeling he already knew what was going to be said. Heâd been drawing a story about it for nearly six months, thanks to a quick nap in a coffee shop.
âI-Iâm ready.â He squeezed Senâs hand for confidence.
It seemed to satisfy Shachi. âVery well.â He sat up in his seat, letting out a breath. âWhat do you know about the Washuu?â
The name that continued to crop up. âWell⊠theyâre a private investigative company founded under Allied supervision while they occupied Japan post-World War II,â Haise said, recalling what he knew from a research session. âThey were considered traitors at first: some people even called them dogs under the heel of Western interests. However, their purposeâ to solve crimes that traditional police couldnâtâ kept bearing fruit, and theyâve become widely respected as a result.
âThat said⊠they could have connections to Donato Porpora.â
Shachiâs expression shifted to something like amusement. âYou know much already, it seems.â
Haise rubbed his chin. âI-I, uh, had a, um⊠personal interest in Donatoâs arrest.â
Sen, who had pulled out a book to read, smiled to herself. âHeâs a resourceful one,â she said, turning a page. âI was impressed by how much he figured out on his own.â
He beamed at her approval.
Shachi hummed. âI see. And how did you come across this information?â
She glanced up momentarily, the way she did when she pretended to be uninterested in something.
âEr, Iâd rather not sayâŠâ Haise said. âSorryâŠâ
âThink nothing of it.â Shachi folded his arms. âIt is as you say. The Washuu Task Forceâ rather, the Washuu themselvesâ have directly collaborated with the Priest, as well as countless other criminalsâ including the Torsoâ in order to achieve their goal of continued dominance and wealth.â
Haise felt his blood run cold. If that was the case, then both Mr. Yasuhisa and Nashiro had both been victims of the Washuuâs connections.
âThe Task Force is not alone, however. There are others with similar connections, and they operate under a single roof,â Shachi continued. Furuta, Ihei, Arimaââ
Sen tensed.
ââ Kaiko, Souzu, Sanzuââ
âS-Sanzu?â Haise blurted out. âLike⊠Like the Sanzu General Hospital?â
âThe very same.â
That was where Ryouko had been placed.
Haise didnât see Sen quietly closing her book to look at him.
âTogether, they are an organization that pretends to be a friend to the everyday individual, when they are orchestrators of their suffering,â Shachi said.
The Sanzu General Hospital had forced Ryouko to choose to live and burden Hina, or die and deprive her of her last parent. For something as asinine as money.
âHope is just a tool, a fire, to them. It can warm hearts, and can inspire or reinforce loyalty. However, if that hope becomes a blaze, becomes too strongââ
They hadnât tried to save Ryouko.
ââ they will create reminders of despair.â
They had killed her.
âThey are V.â
âââ
âSelf-proclaimed âkingsâ of law, moderators of murkinessâ whatever you wanna call them. To line their pockets and play God, theyâll do anythingâ kill anyone.â

MHA Only Has Four Important Female Characters And The Rest Could Comfortably Be Removed With Zero Impact
You could remove almost every female character from this series and nothing changes. Rather than discussing who goes, let's start with who stays. The list isn't long.
-Toga, because she's one of the villain team's MVPs and removing her from the story leaves a massive hole where she used to be. -Uraraka, removing her takes away a major supporting member of Deku's cast. It COULD be done. You COULD just restructure all of the moments between Toga and Uraraka to happen with Deku instead. It would just be really janky.
If we stick to canon's story beats, you'd have a scene where Izuku watches Toga kill herself after their fight and then he rushes off to kill Shigaraki. Uraraka stays. -Nana Shimura, since she's All Might's trainer and also Tomura's grandmother. -And either Mei Hatsume or Momo to act as tech support. Objectively speaking, you don't need them. Momo's contributions in canon were making the tracking devices that led the heroes to Garaki's nomu lab during Kamino, and she made a gas that knocked Gigantomachia out...AFTER everyone got finished jumping him and landing their hits, of course. You could write Momo out by conveniently having Mei invent devices that the heroes use before they know they need them. Or you could scrap both of them. They find the nomu lab because the cops analyzed power expenditure rates in the city and saw the warehouse. They assumed this was either a hydroponics weed farm, or something shady was going on. It turns out to be a nomu lab. They beat up Machia just as they did in canon, except he goes down and stays down. -Eri, on the other hand, is an edge case. She contributes nothing but two things towards the end of the series: restoring Mirio's quirk and healing Deku's arms. She's underdeveloped as a character entirely. She's not a character. She's a trauma prop and a moeblob. She's a major plot device and a reason the Overhaul arc plays out the way it does. You functionally could replace her if the story was willing to have Aizawa get abducted and Overhaul figures out some means to create bullets out of the guy's DNA. You'd have Present Mic there to attack the Yakuza alongside Deku in this universe instead. It's messy and it turns the Overhaul arc into the Aizawa Rescue Arc but it could be done. You'd just have Mirio either not get shot, or he does get shot and we have consequences for once. Mirio in canon proceeded to do basically nothing after his arc, showed up later to defeat Mister Compress, then help stall Tomura. For the sake of not having to change much, we keep her. But I do think a story where Deku rescues his teacher has better bones to it, since Eri does nothing after her arc. They make her smile at a school festival and her years of trauma are fixed. -Recovery Girl is another edge case but the story doesn't care about her as a person. She's a tool to heal main characters and enable them to recover near instantly from their injuries. You could replace her with a talking healing pod from DBZ and get the same end result. We just replace the scenes where she complains with Nezu doing it. Nezu, to All Might and Midoriya who are both in healing pods: You guys really ought to go less hard, eh? But who am I kidding? Plus Ultra! The rest of them? You could functionally ditch and not much changes. I'll go through all of them in a lightning round. Mirko: Replace her with Gang Orca. You know, the really tough mutant guy who could fight Inasa and Shoto at the same time? The guy the story barely used after? Yeah, we dust him off and slot him in. Midnight: Even her two best friends didn't care about her after she died. If we have to kill a teacher who doesn't affect the plot, kill Ectoplasm. Hagakure: Besides discovering Aoyama, what does she ever do? Deku could have just as easily discovered Aoyama...when All For One orders him to capture Deku. It's REALLY OBVIOUS Aoyama is the spy when he's attacking! Tsuyu: She saves Izuku from a shark mutant at the USJ and then does nothing else until she becomes Uraraka's video game assist against Toga. Mina: Her arc is already shared with Kirishima. You just have him eat the rest of her screen time and story beats. Kyoka: Absolutely superfluous. She sings a song once, loses an ear to AFO, and then makes the quirks in him briefly rebel. Have Tokoyami fight alone and we end up in the same place.
All the girls in class B: Class B was a waste of space and shouldn't have existed. Nejire: The big 3 didn't need to exist. Clearly only Mirio actually mattered. The story wanted to show how great Mirio was at the time. Let him fight Nejire and Suneater's foes and show off his POWER. Ryuku: Her most notable scene was getting beat up by Tomura, then is MIA until the final war, where she fights a background character. Magne: She existed just to get brutally murdered by Overhaul. The author NEVER cared about this character.
Inko: If she was never seen and the story didn't bother to get into who Izuku's parents are, what changes? Nothing. So we have 5 essential female characters: Uraraka, Toga, Momo/Mei, Eri, and Nana. 4 if you're willing to do an Overhaul arc rewrite and ditch Eri. 3 if you decide Momo/Mei's contributions aren't needed. This isn't a problem unique to MHA, by the way, this series is just especially bad about it.

Incredibly stupid Our Life AU - Ribfest
Background: Where I live there's an event going on called "Ribfest" where a ton of vendors come out, selling, as you can guess: ribs! It's really good! But... to get people interested in their stalls, they have 'conventionally attractive' people standing out front, wearing tank tops and shorts and handing out samples (mostly BBQ sauce to get you interested in their products). Because I'm a silly little goose, my mind went to: 'what if the OLBA boys were those conventionally attractive people standing out front to get people to try their BBQ'... Synopise: OLBA boys volunteer their time to help a friend in a rib competition by attracting customers to their stands with samples. (would take place in Step 4 after all the events for the sake of y'all being friends!)
Cove
Would be generally comfortable in the outfit (reminder: tank tops and shorts because it's hot af outside, but also designed to attract the customers ;) ), but trying to persuade passer-bys to try the sample would be hard at first
We know he can do that kind of stuff because he volunteers for ORCA and he's done it in the past for the funraising event
BUT
this time he knows the concept around why he was choosen and is dressed up like this
he's eye candy to get people to try BBQ
If he got to do it with someone else (i.e. Derek or MC) I think he would relax a bit more and maybe get into it, especially by Step 4 I see him a lot more comfortable in his own skin
If he was working with Baxter, I think he would still be awkward af (you'll see in a minute)
but if he's left on the front lines all by himself, he would be blushing and awkwardly standing there as people check him out and the booth he's working at
might be sweating bullets
get this man some WATER before he passes out
but since he did volunteer he would try his best and be geninuely friendly, I think? 'No pressure if you don't wanna try! But you should!! It's really good!!' *smiles*
btw would go 10x as red and be 10x as awkward if MC whistles and cat calls him (as a joke)
in the end he would try his best!
Baxter
Step 4 Baxter would get into it
Maybe a little embarrassed by the concept at first, knowing why he was choosen as eye candy to get people to try BBQ, but it wouldn't take him long to get into it
he understands a good business opportunity when he sees one
I think he would really get into it
like giving people a sly wink and a smirk
urging them to come over with his nice voice, almost purring
like I think this man is smooth when he's just playing
when he's not and genuinly likes someone, he's awkward af (but that's another story)
I think he would also be really good at remembering repeat customers??
like he would know why they're coming back, but would still play with them and be like 'Oh, how wonderful~ You came back for more?' with a smirk and a wink
making people giggle and blush
If he's working with the others I think he would play off them well, even try to help someone as nervous as Cove to relax a bit (or a nervous MC)
In the end I would think he would somehow find himself in the back, running the show rather then being up front. Somehow - even if he doesn't really know the friend he's helping. He just has good business sense
Derek
Derek is mister sunshine
If he's been asked to help, even if it's from a distant friend, he's putting 110% effort into it
Embarrassed by the concept of why he's dressed that way/put on display... BUT!!
he still tries REALLY hard
I think he would be the type that's kind of loud - cheering and getting people's attention?
But if that was getting a bad reaction (depending on the crowd) he would be calm and super nice, like Cove. Not wanting to pressure you into trying the BBQ, but SUPER excited when you do
If he got a sale because of his samples, he would high five who ever he's working with - or maybe a random stranger lol
he's just such a happy go lucky guy on the outside (although we all know the truth... but shush...)
working with others he would get really pumped up - especially with Cove and MC
Might be awkward with Baxter at first but I honestly see them getting along???
tbh Derek will just be a great sales person
big hype man
a/n: Hi, this is dumb but I couldn't get this out of my head and being really into Our Life lately has gotten me wanting to write again.. :))) Maybe I'll write more? Also I apologize if any of the characters seem OOC or anything. I was really trying to get them down right, but idk :))))

Mood board for my latest project. Little bit of it below the cut.
You eat the lunch you packed and pull off your sweater, the noon sun warming you up enough to not need it, at least for the moment. You putt along to a new spot and try fishing again, this time catching three good sized fish. Surprising, considering the time of day, but sometimes you get lucky. You're thinking about heading back home when you spot a flash of white under the water.
You grab your camera, determined to be ready. And then a grey shape launches out of the water and into your boat, nearly capsizing it. The white orca sluices through the water next to your boat a moment later, regarding you disdainfully with one bloodshot eye. He flicks his tail as he dives again, soaking you and your passenger.
Your seal friend makes himself comfortable at the prow of the boat, entirely too pleased with himself.
"You're on thin ice, mister!" You tell him, turning back the way you'd come. Thanks to him you missed your photo and nearly went for a swim in deep water. You're pretty sure he couldn't help you out of that situation even if he wanted to, especially with a hunter swimming just below. You certainly don't want four inch teeth biting you in half.
Of course, you don't want to see your friend get eaten in front of you either. You know its the way of the ocean, but he's your little buddy.
The white orca cuts across your path again. You stop your engine, heart hammering, and grab your camera. He disappears into the depths for a moment, and then jumps a little ways away. If you didnât know better, youâd say he was showing off. You get several quick snaps that you know will be gorgeousâ Water droplets catching the sun, his ghostly white body stark against the backdrop of the dark ocean. You grin at the seal, and yelp when something thumps the bottom of your boat, rocking it harshly.
Then the white orca (he needs a name, so you land on Ghost) surfaces next to you, terrifyingly close, and spits water at the seal.
âHoly shit,â you breathe, adjusting your lens for the close contact, camera shutter clicking away as you shoot pictures. Ghost eyes you, and then spits water a second time. The seal looks deeply offended, but not concerned, even with his hunter bobbing in the water a few feet away. âArenât you a pretty boy.â
He is pretty. A juvenile, maybe, now that you see him up closeâ Heâs a bit small for an orca, but heâs all alone out here, no pod to speak of, and a juvenile wouldnât survive on itâs own. As if he can hear your compliment, he creaks at you.
The seal barks back. He seems offended by Ghostâs presence. Understandable, since Ghost was trying to eat him earlier. You get a few funny snaps of the two of them regarding each other over the rim of the boat, having a conversation that you have no way of understanding. You feel a bit insane. A bit like youâre going to wake up laying in the bottom of your boat any minute, and this will all be a funny dream.
#cave writing#I don't have a title yet so I can't make an actual title card#this hardly qualifies as a mood board but I'm a sick fuck and the orca throwing the seal gets me laughing every time#true GhostSoap dynamic#I'm listening to so much Stan Rogers rn#I was listening to the Corries but I didn't like their version of Barrett's Privateers so I got sidetracked#Free in the Harbour hits#I've also been doing a lot of research on orcas and let me tell you. People have not been good to them#But in Western North Atlantic populations there's been more and more sightings since the 90s in the Maritimes#And lots of calves!! There's less pollution from farming run off in the northern areas so the population isn't experiencing the same-#fertility problems that some other groups of orcas do#and they seem to be more diverse in their breeding practices too which is good#there's a pod in the Southern hemisphere that's like Hapsburg levels of inbreeding#Although there are still some breeding problems all over just from being apex predators#lots of pollutants collect high up in the chain#That's why the resident pods on the West Coast of north america seem to do a bit better - They're primarily fish eaters#versus transient whales that tend to eat more mammals and other whales#People need to get their shit together about the ocean#Sorry what was I saying#I'm working on a novel version of this because there's a bigger story to tell but I still want to finish this fic version and post it#Sitting around 9k now but I'll probably finish it before posting just to avoid another WIP people want me to update chapters on lmao#anyway I should go do some chores or something

Apprentices: How many apprenticeships have we figured out? And, relatedly, how many still need to be done?
I actually went through it the other day to figure that out myself and then forgot to post it... or come up with mentors for the missing ones... whoops.
Anyway I learned that shockingly we had nineteen of them already suggested. Ironically, only Yaoyorozu (and technically Aoyama, but a loose suggestion was made) was missing. I also marked where it was specified to be a family relation
Aoyama: French Hero (Musketeer-themed?)
Ashido: (Wash/Backdraft)
Asui: Gang Orca
Iida: Ingenium
Uraraka: Thirteen
Ojiro: Gunhead
Kaminari: Electric Whip Hero (older sister)
Kirishima: Crimson Riot (Grandfather)
Koda: Wild Wild Pussycats
Sato: Fat Gum
Shoji: Fourth Kind
Jiro: PopâStep
Sero: Kamui Woods
Tokoyami: Odd-Eye
Todoroki: Endeavor
Hagakure: Edgeshot
Bakugou: Mister Blaster
Midoriya: All Might
Mineta: Purple Highness

Follow along as this crime fighting duo take on the biggest fish in the sea.
Dibsy: What do you mean the titanic was an inside job?
Dibsy: It crashed into an iceberg.
Toothy: Yeah, but you ever wonder how that iceberg got there in the first place?
Dibsy: Whatâre you driving at sonny?
Toothy: *Tosses a stack of pictures on the table*
Dibsy: The Tux Gang?
Dibsy: What makes you think those oily birds had the beaks to try it?
Toothy: Word is the Tux Gang was in deep with Jimmy Orca and the only way they could square off was to hand over the diamonds stashed in the main cabin safe.
Dibsy: I see what yer stitching.
Dibsy: And what better way to crack a safe than to crack the entire ship around it.
Toothy: Bingo boss.
Dibsy: We gotta call this in to chief Marlin right away.
Toothy: You know he wonât do nothân.
Dibsy: Watch that smack mister.
Toothy: He ainât been the same since he lost his boy and you know it!
Toothy: We want to get the Tux Gang and Jimmy Orca we need to do this ourselves.
Dibsy: You know how I feel about shooting from the hip like this.
Toothy: Yeah, but I know you hate to see good fish fry.
Dibsy: *Spins revolver* Letâs paddle, partner.

Quiet Uptown
Do to something pointed out to me in my previous post my OC Connor is now going to be called Carson to avoid confusion with the canon DC character of the same name.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well according to the tracker he should be right below us, I don't know why we can't see him." Trent said as he looked over the screens for the umpteenth time.
"Well keep looking, kinda hard to miss a twelve thousand pound killer whale." Carson replied.
Carson groaned as he walked up to the second deck of their boat grabbing his binoculars to survey the ocean around them to see if he could spot their evasive Orca. They had been tracking Cori for days with no visual sightings of him but the tracker they place on his dorsal fin was still sending out a GPS location so that was all they had to go off of. As he was scanning the horizon Carson's phone rang. He pulled it out of his back pocket and couldn't help but smile when he saw it was Clark calling him.
"Hey handsome, how are you?" Carson said as he answered.
"Hey, how fast can you get home?" Clark asked immediately.
"Uh I'm still out here for a few more weeks. Why what's up?" Carson answered, albeit with concern in his voice.
"How fast can you get home if you fly." Clark asked.
"If it's urgent a few seconds tops. Clark what's going on? You're concerning me." Carson replied now worried about what was happening.
"It's......... It's Jason he-" Clark barely managed to choke out.
Connor dropped his phone as dread filled him. In an instant he was in the skies flying as fast as he could back home. Clark didn't need to tell him what happened, he just knew but he didn't want to believe it. Seconds later the manor doors burst open as Carson stumbled in very frazzled. He looked around the manor trying to find someone when Alfred walked in.
"Alfred! What happened?! Clark called and he-he-he...... Where's Jason?" Carson rambled.
"I think it best you sit down for this Mister Everburn." Alfred said in solemn tone.
"No... no, no, no, no, no, no, he can't. He can't be." Carson said trying to deny what was insinuated.
Jason couldn't be dead, no there was no way. He would have known, he would have heard Jason calling for him, or Clark, or Bruce, or someone. Jason was too young, he was only thirteen he still had so much left. He couldn't be dead, Carson refused to believe it. His son, could not be dead.
"I am afraid it is true. Master Jason is gone." Alfred replied with a small break in his voice.
Hearing those words finally broke Carson. He fell to his knees letting out a pained scream that echoed through the manor. Clark, Bruce, and Dick came around the corner upon hearing Carson's scream and walked over to him all three men crouching down to comfort Carson as their own tears fell from their eyes. They were like this for awhile before Carson looked at Bruce.
"Who did it." He asked.
"Joker" Bruce replied.
Carson looked at Bruce for a few moments, his sadness slowly turning into anger as he processed that. Carson got up and made his way towards the front door his anguish replace with a boiling rage. That damned psychopath was going to fucking pay.
"I am going to fucking end him." Carson growled as he left the manor.
Before anyone could stop him Carson was on the other side of the city standing in front of Jokers hideout. The clouds darkened and thunder rumbled as lightning crackled through the air. Carson was filled with nothing but pure rage as he walked towards the entrance to the jokers hideout. The two goons acting as guards in front of the entrance pointed their guns at Carson but with a flick of his wrist their necks snapped and they fell to the ground limp and lifeless.
The doors were ripped off their hinges as Carson made his way inside startling the buildings inhabitants who quickly rushed to apprehend the intruder. Without saying a word Carson summoned his spear and lunged forward stabbing the blade into a joker lackey. He pulled it out and beheaded another one and went on a rampage. Screams of terror, pain, confusion, and pleads echoed throughout the twisted lair as Carson slaughtered every last person he saw in a bloody rage.
"What the hell is going on out there?" The joker wondered aloud as he heard the screams of his men.
Once again the doors were ripped off their hinges as Connor walked into the room where the Joker was. He set his spear down and made his way across the floor to the psychotic clown. Joker looked at Carson confused before splashing him with acid. Horrifyingly the acid had no effect on Carson, only dripping down his face. Joker quickly pulled out a smoke bomb filled with his laughing gas and threw it at the man which exploded on impact. Thinking he had immobilized his enemy the joker let out a short chuckle before Carson's had shot out of the gas cloud and tightly gripped Joker by the neck.
The rest of Carson followed emerging from the laughing gas unaffected, his expression still one of anger and malice. Joker began to struggle in Carson's grasp as he tightened his grip on the villains neck slowly choking him.
"You killed him." Carson spoke, his voice a cold and monotonous.
"You'll have to be more specific freak. I've killed a lot of people lately." Joker choked out.
"Robin, batman's sidekick, Jason Todd. My son." Carson replied almost crushing the Joker's neck.
"ACK! That little birdie? Oh killing him was fun, really enjoyed watching as batsy was thrown back by the explosion." Joker chuckled.
Filled with rage once again Carson threw Joker across the room into another wall. In an instant Carson was in front of the Joker again and he kicked the villain through the wall with ease sending him over the railing and plummeting to the floor below. Before he could hit the floor though Carson appeared beneath the Joker and slammed him into another wall. With the psychopath frazzled and dizzy, Carson punched the Joker hard enough in the face that he spat out blood.
And then another, and another, and another. Every time Carson punched the Joker more blood was spilled, splattering everywhere. Carson didn't let up on his onslaught of attacks until the Joker was a bloody pulp that was barely recognizable. Finally stopping Carson bent down and lifted the Joker's head up by his hair bringing him to eye level.
"Jason was my son, I cared for him more than you can imagine. And you took him from me. For that I should rip your heart out of your chest and feed it to you. But you don't deserve to feel the sweet release of death. No I want you to suffer, I want you to be afraid. I want you to second guess every decision you make in the future. If you ever decide to go after a child again I want you to wonder if they are mine, and I want you to remember this moment, and think if touching them is worth getting beaten to a pulp again. If you ever even think about coming near my family again I will not be as merciful as I am right now. Touch my children again and you will be six feet under." Carson threatened.
Carson then dropped the Joker's head and made his way outside where he found Bruce and Clark standing out front both in their suits. They looked around at the bloody carnage left from Carson's rampage and then over to their husband who was also covered in blood.
"The fucker deserved it." Was all Carson said as he walked past the two heroes.

Market
A Mermay Prompt
Masterlist
Prev / Next
Orcas liked toys right?
Would it be offensive to get a siren a toy?
You walked through the marketplace. It sat right by the docks but high enough above sea level to keep away from the tide. There was a reason for that, as half of the town had been swept away by a violent storm decades ago. Thatâs what you could piece together at least. Everyone told you a different story. The prince of the sea was angry at a sailor for doing him wrong. Two giant leviathans had gotten into a fight and caused the storm. Someone was selling the wrong fish on the wrong day. A few poachers had come through and âcaused the storm??â
It was all nonsense to you.
You learned quickly just how fast gossip spread in the little town. With all the superstitious sailors and fishermen, something casual like seeing a crow eat a berry could turn into a blown out of proportion omen of death, plague, or murder. Anything and everything had to have a reason. You stubbed your toe on the way to work? Bad omen. Two fish swam around your feet when you went swimming? Youâll find your soulmate soon. Waves crashed against the rocks twice in a row? Big storm coming.
Absolutely ridiculous.
You entered the shop you were looking for, the bell announcing your arrival.
âOh! Hey, y/n! Long time no see!â Greeted the clerk with a wave.
âHello, Mister Ron.â You answered and turned to look at the displays.
There were a lot of toys to choose from. The beach balls, volleyballs, footballs, and frisbees were built to float on the water. Then there were the things that didnât float. Buckets and shovels for sand castles, custom shoes with fun patterns on the soles to leave in the sand, and those fun torpedos and rings that sank to the sea floor for you to find again. Last but not least, there was a rack of plushies, all different sea creatures. Absently, you grabbed an orca plush and, after a momentâs hesitation, grabbed a shark plush as well.
âAnything I can help you with?â Ron asked from the counter.
You gave him a smile. âNo, thanks.â
âYou got family coming over?â Ugh. He was looking for gossip. Just like everyone else.
âNo.â
âFriends?â
âNo one is coming over.â
âCâmon, y/n! Donât leave me hanging!â He teased.
Flashes of Killer saying something very similar made you pause. The teasing voice. The way he grinned at you as if nothing was wrong. Begging for information⊠and willing to kill you over it.
Câmon! Donât leave me driftinâ!
Do you know how easy it would be to sing those last notes?
You grabbed the closest thing and went to checkout. You had to get out of here. Ron gave you an odd look but didnât pry as you bolted out of the shop. Your car was cranked and you sped home.
On second thoughtâŠ
You turned to head to the beach instead.
Waves greeted you as you entered your alcove. Cross was nowhere to be seen. You groaned and sat on the rocky beach, the bag from the store still in your hand. Thankfully, youâd left the plushies in the car, but somehow still grabbed the bag. You reached in and pulled out a red ringed frisbee. Like the glowing thing Killer had on his chest.
You sighed and flopped onto your back. You really didnât want to think about the shark siren but everything was reminding you of those encounters. The clerk, the shark plushie, the frisbee, even staring up at the sky reminded you of how heâd stargazed with you, his eyelights twinkling at the sight. Heâd looked so harmless for a moment. Just a boy that got to see the stars for the first time.
âUgh!â You stood up grabbed the frisbee and launched it at the horizon. The wind carried it further than you expected before in finally landed in the water.
Dang it, you could still see it!
You snatched up the plastic bag and stuffed it in your pocket. You werenât going to litter, even if you were upset. Casting one last look, you hoped Cross was okay, you turned you back on the water to head home.
With a scratching sound, the frisbee landed next to you.
âThat was fun! Do it again!â Came the familiar voice you didnât want to hear.
Speak of the devil and he shall come.
You turned around slowly to see Killer propped up on a rock, his tail wagging behind him. The red thing youâd noticed before was floating boldly in front of his rib cage in the shape of a target. Wasnât it a heart before?
His brow rose as you continued to stare. âLike what you see, y/n?â He grinned.
You looked at your feet where the frisbee still sat. âYou want me to throw the frisbee again?â
âFrisbee.â He tested the word. âCan you throw it farther?â
âI didnât even think it would go as far as it did.â You admitted.
The red rings above his chest twisted. That looked painful. âThen Iâll be able to catch it before it hits the water.â He challenged.
Something in you clicked at the challenge and you looked back up at him with a grin on your face. âBet. Youâll never get there in time.â You picked up the frisbee.
His face lit up. âOh! Itâs on! Throw it, frisbee master! And watch me teach you a lesson!â
You threw it and a giant splash announced Killerâs scramble to catch it first. He got under it in record time and shot you a smug grin across the water. You smiled back and crossed your arms as the frisbee glided closer and closer to the siren untilâŠ
It arched sideways and hit the water several meters away from him.
You laughed at his look of confusion. After a few seconds of flabbergasted staring, Killer angrily snatched the frisbee out of the water and swam back to where you were laughing on the beach.
âWhat was that!? What did you do?!â He demanded, tossing the frisbee at you.
âI didnât do anything!â You giggled. âThe frisbee does that by itself!â
His grin widened. âAgain.â He growled.
You nodded and sent the frisbee flying again.
And again, it arched to the side out of his reach.
âWhy does it keep doing that?!?!â
âBecause-.â
âAgain!â
Several failed attempts later and you had to dodge the frisbee he launched at you.
âThis is stupid!!â Killer snapped, his tail thrashing in the water. âWhy does it do that?!â
âWill you let me explain?â
He glared at you. ââŠFine. Explain.â
You held up the frisbee. âThis bottom side is made to hold air under it while it flies. As long as itâs spinning, it wonât have a problem holding itself up. But,â You tipped the frisbee. âIf it stops spinning, it becomes unbalanced and the frisbee will fall off the pocket of air it made and swing to the side. Thatâs why it keeps doing that.â
âWhy does it stop spinning?â
âBecause it was thrown too far with nothing to make it spin. When I throw it, I try my hardest to make it spin for as long as possible but over the water it has nothing to do but glide until it canât spin anymore.â
âWell, how do I catch it?â
You smiled. âYou have to over prepare for it to change course. Watch the way it wobbles before it falls.â You threw it without warning and he was gone.
His dorsal fin sped out to where the frisbee hovered and his head poked out of the water. He watched as it wobbled, arched, and hit the water without making an effort to catch it. He brought it back and repeated the process three more times.
On the fourth try he brought it back with a grin on his face.
âThis time.â Was all he said.
The frisbee went flying.
His fin circled the area below it when it started wobbling. He shot to one side and came out of the water as it arched towards him. He stretched for it, it went over his head andâŠ
He caught it.
âWOOOOOOOO!!!â He screamed in triumph, holding the frisbee above his head.
You watched him pump his fists into the air as you laughed and realized;
Youâd just spent the entire day with Killer.
He hadnât even threatened you.
And youâd laughed.
Huh.
Maybe youâd just gotten off on the wrong foot.
Or fin.

New add. info 7
I wonder if this guy fights with his feet just like Sanji from One Piece? =/
I would limit it to Takama just beating the crap out of his brother, but oh well.
If Iâm not mistaken, DSP previously provided us with this information on one of the earlier streams. At least in OkegomWiki it was already written in Takamaâs biography even before this stream.
Does this mean⊠that non-human DSP's characters could potentially be hermaphrodites (with the exception of Rema, they have no gender, and therefore probably cannot have children)? If in the case of witches, demons, angels and higher in the hierarchy I can imagine this due to the fact that they have magic and that some of them definitely have an âextraterrestrial originâ, then what should I do with animal characters? It could be assumed that they can acquire several gender characteristics at once thanks to various potions and magic, but this statement rather says that they can give birth to children, regardless of gender. And this begs the question: are they all hermaphrodites?
Is Yukisada making so many cookies and cakes because of his love for sweets or because he wants to feed Shirogane all this and cheer him up? However, I am afraid that at this rate, both Yukisada and Shirogane will have diabetes⊠(6 _ 6)
Now we know that Yukisada wears a mokko-styled fundoshi. At the same time, it was previously mentioned that he also wears undergarments with orange polka dots and âsomething quite cuteâ, but for some reason this isn't in the OkegomWiki biography of Yukisada, so now only fundoshi⊠yeahâŠ
What do you think the name of this ice cream shop in School AU would be? Here are a few of my options: Mogekov-Mogekos, Kremlin-Hashasky, Kremlin-Mogekos, Ice Scream, Under-Iceberg.
I hope Sal will be to EAT it. By the way, how about Mister Mogeko, Donut for Mister, Mister Defect Mogeko, Mogeko Donut?
Mogezeriya, Funazeriya, Rosaliliya, Lilisaliya
HmmâŠit seems that Orca's older brother has authority. I wonder if this is due to their difference in strength or because Takama is older than Idate?
Honestly, I thought that here he would also order something with a Japanese twist, so I'm a little surprised by the order. (0 _ 0)
So, please remind me why DSP hasn't made a mini-comic about this yet?
Takama thinks for two, obviously⊠Just remember all those times when Idate did not understand the seriousness of what was happening in WaTGBS, could throw a cigarette butt in Castle Town and be punished for it, and we will immediately understand that Takamaâs younger brother is not used to thinking and pondering their actions and their consequences, and therefore it was most likely the older brother who had to do all this. (- _ -)
I hope they will show us this in the full-fledged Ice Scream Remake. At the same time, I would like to see other characters from Iseberg Isle when they were still children. I would like to be look on them and on them cuteness, and look at the difference between them as children and them as adults.
Yukiyoshi and Yukisada are twins, but the difference between them is also noticeable in their physical strength. In this case, if Shirogane suddenly cannot distinguish them from each other, then he should check who is who with the help of arm wrestling. At least, even if Yukiyoshi deliberately gives in to Yukisada, he definitely wonât lose to Shiro (after all, he thinks our wolf âextremely pathetic,â soâŠ). =)
BONUS.

Burn, Baby, Burn - Chapter Two
I guess this is a thing now? @acapelladitty what do you think? Should this be a thing? Is it cursed just right for public viewing or should I kill it in the cradle?
It's the Firefly and Baby Doll buddy comedy that no one asked for, but y'all get to suffer through it with me. Enjoy!
Chapter Two
âHello and welcome to It's A Pool, Pool Summer Water Park and Amusements, can I rent you a flutter board for the slide or perhaps some swimming gear? Do you have any small fries with you that will need arm floaties or a life vest?â
Why did it seem like only the freaks came to water parks?
Garfield was working his mandatory parole job a couple of days later, still feeling hung over from his bender and having to explain to his parole officer why he missed his shift.
It had taken him a couple months before he realized that them sticking him in a tiny hut, at the side of the Small Fry pool, next door to the Small Fry Shack and Soda Shop, was like punishment straight out of hell.
So much water, and noise, and children screaming and splashing.
Not to mention the mandatory uniform of swim shorts that came straight out of the 70's and a whistle. Why a whistle? He wasn't sure, it wasn't like he was a certified life guard. Maybe it looked more official in the world of swimmers and pools.
He got to blow it once, when a father was choking on an Orca Dog and he needed an actual guard to come, since he wasn't allowed to leave his sweltering shack.
Water, water everywhere and nothing to set ablaze.
âJesus, is this where they got you working?â The customer in line behind the mother who had just left said, dropping her sunglasses to look him in the eye.
He felt the hangover wash over him instantly and swallowed thickly. âMary Louise, you shouldn't be here. You're a triggering person.â
She laughed and hopped onto the counter, it was a bit of a struggle as she barely cleared it standing up. âDid they really put you here surrounded by water?â She laughed almost cruelly. âThat's funny.â
He leaned over the counter. âIt's a long way back down.â
âYou need a tan and some manscaping,â she ignored him, motioning to his pale, hairy chest. âBecause this...is not working for you.â
âI thought I did manscape,â he replied glancing down.
âWith a leaf blower?â
âAre you looking to rent anything?â
âNo, I just came to laugh at you in your dumb booth.â
âThen go.â
She crossed her arms. âI'm not going anywhere. You promised me.â
âI promised you what?â He inquired, blood already running cold.
âThe orb? You said you'd get it for me. Or help me get it, but let's face it here, only one of us is a thief.â
âI'm a pyro, not a thief.â
âYou've thieved before, thoven even.â
Garfield exhaled. âI can't break parole...and I don't remember anything about an orb.â
âFink!â She declared, reaching in her beach bag and pulling out her phone. âI knew you'd say that.â
He was already fucked and he knew it.
There on the screen as she turned it to him, was a very drunk him, looking deep into the camera with unfocused, half lidded eyes.
âI don't even care, I'll burn that fucking place down and the orb will just be in the rubble, just in the rubble and embers. Can't destroy an orb of challengings. No, listen...I promise...we'll get that thing.â
Mary Louise tucked her phone away proudly as he crossed his arms.
âThat's fine, won't hold up in criminal court.â He stated.
She nodded. âOk, you want to walk that back...fine...â
Garfield watched with horror as she slipped down on his side of the counter, immediately knowing where this was going by the evil glint in her eye.
âWhere's the candy, mister?!â She asked loud enough for anyone who walked up to hear. Thankfully no one was coming yet as her hand reached for his trunks. âShould I keep looking before mommy comes?â
âOh, you little bitch,â he growled, slapping her hand away. âFine, stop that!â
She stepped back, giggling.
âOh, you bitch...â he murmured. âI...I can't help you directly and break parole, but I can connect you with someone who will.â
âWhy do you care so much about parole?â She demanded. âJust be bad, you were cooler when you were Firefly.â
âI burned buildings in bike leathers with thermal wings on my back, Mary Louise.â
âYeah, and a flamethrower in your hands, it was fucking cool. Look at you now, you look like my father at the Cape.â She said looking him up and down. âCome on, don't you wanna be sexy Firefly again? In those leathers? Not with one ball hanging out the bottom of his swimtrunks in a dumb shack by the kiddie pool?â
He looked down and quickly tucked his ball back into the short, swim shorts. âFuck.â
âIt's okay,â she said.
âIt happens a lot,â he admitted sheepishly. âThey don't have good netting. But I'm back here so no one really notices..."
âI wasn't talking about the shorts. I meant, it's okay to be bad, if being bad is in your nature. But...maybe stick to the meds though, be bad, but not crazy. That's the most dangerous baddie of them all, the sensible one.â
âIf criminals were mentally healthy, I don't think they'd choose a life of crime, Mary Louise.â
She shrugged. âMaybe...or maybe it's just who we are.â
âLook,â he began. âI have to get back to work, meet me at the Iceberg tonight, around 8?â
She nodded. âOk. You better be there!â
âI will be.â
Mary Louise opened the door to get out, but stopped and turned to him, saying sincerely. âNot bad though. Needs work, but not bad for an old man pushing 60.â
âCome on,â he pleaded glancing down. He thought he looked good for pushing 40. âThat's unnecessary.â
She giggled and left.
He showed up late in another old man sweater, huddled in on himself from the cold, and Mary Louise was already there, chatting amiably with a man who was stroking her cheek.
âSuch lovely skin,â he was purring as Garfield moved to stand behind him, waiting his turn to speak with Baby Doll.
âThanks!â
It wasn't until the man went on in his soft, purr of a voice, that Garfield felt that heat of anger flare up deep inside him.
âHow would you like to come model for me? I really like your skin,â Dollmaker cooed. âIt shines so brightly, like gold under these lights.â
Grasping Dollmaker by the scruff of his suit jacket, Garfield yanked him off his stool and shoved the man onto his ass on the floor.
âShe's not going anywhere with you, Barton,â Garfield said, moving to take the man's stool calmly, not at all worried about minding his back. He may be pushing 40 but he was fairly certain he could knock Barton Mathis out cold with just a single punch.
âAw, jealous?â Mary Louise asked with a grin as Barton slunk away.
âHe's a notorious deflesher, Mary Louise.â He replied ordering a soda from the bartender.
âYeah, I know, but there's no harm in getting a few compliments.â She replied. âSo? What's the plan?â
âThe plan is I enjoy my soda, then we hit the sewers.â
Mary Louise was quiet for a moment, before saying, âsorry?â
âI only know two criminals who can help you get that orb thing you want. Ratcatcher and Magpie, Magpie is locked up currently, so...we hit the sewers.â
âGross, ew, no!â
Garfield turned a calm, steady eye on her, not backing down.
Mary Louise didn't once falter. âDo you know how nice these shoes of mine are? Do you know that the sewers...are just...filled with nasty germs and stuff?â
He continued to stare at her evenly.
âAnd...no! I'm not going there. You bring him to me!â
He wasn't sure if it was the flame that was ignited from Dollmaker, or if he was nearing the end of his rope with patience for Baby Doll, but Garfield reached over, took a calm sip of his soda and then rolled his neck, working out the kinks in it. Maybe Baby Doll was right, it was easier for him to be the bad guy than it was for him to play nice, because as he slipped momentarily back into Firefly he felt a great weight leave his shoulders.
âGet me a matchbook,â he ordered the bartender calmly, even his voice falling into the lower register of Firefly.
When he looked back over at Mary Louise, Firefly instantly fell back into the dark hole Garfield kept him in when he spied the slight fear in her eyes, he knew she could see the change that had swept over him too.
âC-can we stop at my apartment so I can change?â She asked meekly.
âOf course,â he replied, somewhat ashamed that he had allowed the slip. Firefly should never come out again, he knew that, on the meds he knew that Firefly was meant to be kept in that hole he had gouged out for him, deep, deep down inside himself.
When the matchbook came, Mary Louise reached out with a slightly shaky hand and took it before he could, tucking it away in her sock.
They walked the streets of Gotham City side by side.
The night air was probably refreshing to most, but to him it was frigid and unbearably cold, he huddled in on himself, knowing full well he looked like a junkie after a hit, but not caring at all because he was too fucking cold to care.
âThat was dark back there,â Mary Louise finally spoke, her old self back as she spoke clearly and a little obnoxiously.
âYeah, sorry.â He said, considering it for a moment, before adding. âOn top of pyromania I have an anger problem, who knew?â
They walked for a ways in silence once more, before she said, âthey said I have body dysmorphic disorder.â
âDid they give you anything for it?â
Mary Louise was quiet, before shrugging. âSupposed to be on meds and therapy, but I can't afford it. Shit's expensive when you're trying to be law abiding, you know? Besides,â she added a little lighter in tone. âIf we can get this orb, it will change me and I won't need the meds, because I'll be different looking. Mature. I'll look my age.â
Garfield studied her quickly, eyes on her face, reading it for sincerity. He didn't think she would ever be happy, but...it wasn't his place to say anything. If Baby Doll wanted to get some tits and an ass, maybe grow a few more inches in height in order to feel like the 30-year-old she was, who was he to question it?
âNow,â he began gravely as he lugged the manhole cover off with a crowbar they had bought at a hardware store nearby, âI shouldn't have to warn you about this, but...there will be rats down there.â
Mary Louise nodded. âI know. Figured with a dude named Ratcatcher we're gonna see some weird shit, but rats don't bother me as much as spiders do.â
Garfield studied the dark hole, he was fairly sure there would probably be a metric fuckton of spiders down there too, but instead he nodded and clapped her shoulder, âthen you're in luck, it's too wet down there for spiders.â
Dressed in a yellow rainslicker and boots, and looking like she was ready to 'float' down there with the best of them, Mary Louise nodded and said, âyou first, techie.â
Garfield turned on the small flashlight he had bought and began his descent into the putrid sewers beneath Gotham.
#Burn Baby Burn#Firefly#Baby Doll#Look guys this buddy comedy might become a thing so I'm gonna give it the treatment a real genuine fanfic deserves#Chapters and everything#I kind of want to make this about the 'losers' of the rogue gallery yanno?#So expect some real fucking losers
