The local chouta was good enough. They have some really interesting plants here, but they also have some staple grains in case you're a picky eater. There's this ramen shop on Komashi you HAVE to try if you're in the area. [Hi everyone, mod here!! It's been exactly one month since I started this blog and oh my GOD, how did we get here??? I honestly thought it would last maybe 2 weeks tops. You guys have all been SO wonderful, sent in SO many interesting asks and I'm having such a great time drawing/writing responses! Hope you're all having a good time too 😊 Thanks for sticking with me this long!

Under the cut I'm gonna give y'all some blog stats, a "story so far" blurb, a handy tags list and a vague timeline! I will later add anything that's useful to my pinned post.]

Well, to kick off, let's see some stats! Mostly based on Tumblr's little badges. We've been here for 1 month and:

The Hedgehogs have answered over 250 asks

And over 10,000 likes!

We've also just passed 280 followers. Woo!

So let's take a look at what's happened!

THE STORY SO FAR

Sonic and Shadow set this blog up to appease Tails, who wanted Sonic to become an influencer to bring in some cash where his sponsorship deals have declined over time, and Rouge, who wanted Shadow to practice Normal Social Interactions. They were both reluctant at first, although Sonic faced it with his usual enthusiasm. Over time, they've grown to love answering all your questions and started to open up more--going from sarcastic and unserious answers to genuinely considering your questions. Well done! Their relationship began with a heart-to-heart after Sonic's birthday party, immediately following the Time Eater's attack on the Sonic gang. They talked about their feelings, and took some time to open up to each other before deciding to give dating a try. They were together for almost 5 years before getting married in June 2024. Sonic moved in with Shadow a few months before they got married. Wedding 1.0 was a quiet affair with just a few close friends on Angel Island. Amy insisted on planning a real big shindig for the boys, so Wedding 2.0 will be held on July 12th 2025! They had no honeymoon, either, so they might want one of those this time around 👀 The Hedgehogs had been married almost a year before starting this blog, and dating almost 5 years before that, although their relationship was kept secret for most of that time. A few slip ups from Sonic lead to announcing their relationship to the public (and, uh, Eggman...), but so far nothing terrible has come from letting everyone know. Although Shadow likes the idea of having kids, Sonic is unsure about it, so for now they're sticking with raising Chao and helping out with kids that need the support!

Phew, I don't know if any of that makes sense and my laptop keyboard is lowkey broken so typing it out was an uphill battle... but you can always ask the hedgehogs if you want any clarification!!

Onto the VERY ROUGH timeline--this is not going to be 100% SEGA canon or real-world compatible, but this is the timeline as it goes in my head because I can't work with a character who was stuck at 15-ish for most of his life haha.

Tuesday Again No Problem 1/14/25

Long time no Tuesdaypost! Again!! Oops!

(To my newer followers, because I have a few: this is a weekly roundup series inspired by @girlfriendsofthegalaxy's post series of the same name)

Listening

I'm going to be honest, I haven't been very adventurous with my listening habits lately. I've mostly been listening to the Rain World soundtrack and the backlog of Well There's Your Problem episodes. Not much to report here.

Watching

Not much to report in the Watching section either... again, a lot of Well There's Your Problem. Though, DankPods put out a video earlier today where he rambles about telescopes for a bit, and I was fully ready to cringe but I was happily surprised to learn that he's actually pretty knowledgeable about them! He even has a few fancy Celestrons!

Playing

Rain World, what else is new. I'm still modding a bunch. Working on my Three Stars Above Clouds mod some more. I have a basic region map figured out:

The blockier rooms are placeholders with nothing in them currently. I am finally at the fun part where I can actually start filling them with Stuff! The process is incredibly lengthy though... more in the Making section.

I'd like to try and play some of the more popular mods this year, too. I have Preservatory, The Seer, and The Gravel Eater in mind currently. Maybe Unparalleled Innocence (to see what other people's iterators are like). I know the Global Hyper Transit System mod links to UI now, so that's a viable option to get there.

Making

I've been working on my TSAC mod a bunch. I also got Rain World and the Rained editor to work on my Linux computer, which I would like to try and use to render levels instead of my poor Windows laptop... it really struggles with mass rendering. The Linux computer has similar specs, but at the very least I can let it render things and put it to the side so I can actually use my normal computer for other things at the same time.

I've also been using Git to keep track of my progress, and it's already saved my ass more than once. Rain World is remarkably easy to crash, and Git makes it easier to trace back your steps or undo big mistakes.

My most recent work was on TSAC's equivalent of the big Memory Conflux room in both Five Pebbles and Looks to the Moon.

I'm trying to dial in how "claustrophobic" I want the rooms to feel. Five Pebbles' rooms are typically very open and wide, while Moon's rooms are much more cramped with lots of crawl spaces and tubes and things. Three Stars Above Clouds is between the two of them in age, so I want their rooms to be somewhere in the middle. It's still a work in progress!

I also updated my ask blog! Responses have been slow, but I want to try and get back into it in 2025. I'm grateful for everyone's patience.

I'm certainly Going Through It(TM) at the moment, but I am trying my best to focus on creative pursuits in 2025. I want to work on my ask blog some more, finish some crochet projects, maybe publish that TSAC mod I've been working on...

I also really really want to try and get a new PC this year. I've been saying this for years, but my poor laptop is really yearning for death at this point. I'd like something more powerful than I currently have (and considering my laptop is from ten years ago, that's not saying much). Hopefully new PC acquisition is a goal I will be able to accomplish soon.

Inspired by recent interest in this blog, and for ppl newly landing on it, I made this pinned post as a welcome, a warning, and some tags I would recommend that are specific to my blog for my favorite stuff. Here's why it's called i-want-my-IWTV.

🤘 A welcome: I'm Burnadette (21+) and this blog is an unofficial Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles appreciation blog started in July 2013, but it's not an authoritative resource, I'm just collecting fanworks and other dash goodies based on my own rubric, sprinkling catnip out to the fandom, and answering asks for ppl who are curious about my opinions on things. I encourage positivity and optimism! ✨

Introduction: Take Two

I am Darrin Scintiller. Former leader of the group known as Team Luster.

As of the current moment? I am stranded in time, an unknown number of years in the past. I reside in Lumiose City, reliant on the hospitality of my benefactors, the Scintillers.

They do not yet know what my story truly is. I intend to explain to them when the time is right.

Many of you will know of my previous actions. I do not expect any sort of forgiveness. I pledge to better myself in any way I can.

My current Pokemon are as follows. Fang, my long-suffering Crobat, and Phantasm, my recently obtained Flutter Mane.

Mod Kirby here, figured it was time for a new pinned post, especially since the conceit of this blog has drastically shifted.

Darrin is a complicated character, who I want to really explore the morality of. He is neither fully evil nor particularly good, and my ultimate goal is to portray both his self-centered, arrogant side, and his nurturing, genuine side.

He has made a variety of enemies during his time on this site, as well as the occasional kind-of ally. I encourage any interactions on this blog, especially if it's to be mean to him.

The current arc, which will continue for the foreseeable future, is not at all entrenched with the plot of Legends Z-A, though the initial teaser trailer was indeed what inspired me to yeet this old man to ancient Lumiose. It will follow my own story, which I'm very excited to show to you all.

There may be occasional interruptions from Darrin's former admins, Laurel and Kira, though these will be sparse. They cannot access any of the posts Darrin has made since his arrival in Lumiose.
