Thank you! It's been a couple months but mod has also been off of Tumblr for a while.

It's been really nice. Mod hopes to make a big 'getting on HRT/how it's has helped mod's dysphoria' post sometime but who know when that'll be. In the meantime, to any pre-transition people watching: hold out hope, it took mod forever too.

Welcome to Something Eternal: A Website Forum in 2023 wtf lmao

It's 2023, and a single belligerent rich guy destroyed one of the primary focal points of uh...global communication. Tumblr is, shockingly, kinda thriving despite the abuse it gets from its owners, but that I will call the iconic refusal of Tumblr users to let Tumblr get in the way of their using Tumblr. Reddit killed its API, removing the functionality of mobile apps that made it remotely readable (rip rif.) Discord, our current primary hangout, has made countless strange choices lately that indicate it has reached the summit of its usability and functionality, and can only decline from here as changes get made to prepare for shareholders. (NOTE: WROTE THIS POST BEFORE THEIR MOBILE "REDESIGN" LMAO)

The enshittification is intense, and it's coming from every direction. Social media platforms that felt like permanent institutions are instead slowly going to let fall fallow incredible amounts of history, works of art, thought, and fandoms. It kinda sucks!

A couple years ago, I posted about a new plan with a new domain, to focus on the archiving of media content, as I saw that to be the fatal weakness of the current ways the internet and fandoms work. Much has happened since to convince me to alter the direction of those efforts, though not abandon them entirely.

Long story short? We are launching a fucking website forum. In 2023.

If you remember In the Rose Garden, much about Something Eternal will be familiar. But this has been a year in the making, and in many ways it's far more ambitious than IRG was. We have put money on this. The forum is running on the same software major IT and technology businesses use, because I don't want the software to age out of usability within five years. It has an attached gallery system for me to post content to, including the Chiho Saito art collection. It has a profile post system that everyone already on the forum has decided is kinda like mini Twitter? But it is, fundamentally, a website forum, owned and run and moderated by us. We are not web devs. But we have run a website on pure spite and headbutting code for over twenty years, and we have over a decade of experience maintaining social spaces online, both on the OG forum, and on our Discord. Better skilled people with far more time than we have can and will build incredible alternatives to what is collapsing around us. But they're not in the room right now. We are. And you know what? Maybe it's time to return to a clunkier, slower moving, more conversation focused platform.

You're not joining a social media platform with the full polish of dozens of devs and automated moderation. Things might break, and I might need time to fix them. The emojis and such are still a work in progress. Because e-mails no longer route in reasonable normal ways, the sign-up process instead happens within the software, and has to be approved by mods. Design and structure elements may change. Etc. The point being, that the forum isn't finished, but it is at a place where I feel like I can present it to people, and it's people I need to help direct what functions and things will be in this space. You all will shape its norms, its traditions, its options...choices I could try to make now, but really...they're for us to create as a group! But the important stuff? That's there. Now let's drive this baby off the damn lot already!

I guess we can consider this something of a mini world overview, which is something I want to get back into doing one of these days.

This is Qornenthus, an alien world by @risastorm. So far as I can tell, it's only available on their Exchange account, not on their Tumblr blog, for whatever reason. It's a world that I've had on my radar for a long time, wanting to create an alien society on it. So, I've decided to have a stab at it, to create a homeworld for these guys, whom I'm considering to be sort of mostly-post-technology. Not in a disastrous/apocalyptic way but rather as a society that mutually agreed to screw it all and "return to monke" -- Or in their case, "return to archosaur-ish" -- while still retaining some technology and such.

Anyway, I haven't really done any kind of "technical" building in Sims games since my early, pre-sharing-on-the-internet days of playing TS2 back in the mid-aughts, mostly because I generally don't enjoy playing the resulting kind of lots. They tend to be more complex and multi-level than I like to play. But for some reason, I've been itching to do some more "technical" building, and want to build something here. It will involve large lots spanning peaks, valleys, and bodies of water, with some elevated architecture, maybe some treehouses, so it's going to involve some terraforming, both temporary and permanent, if I can get it to work like I want at all. So before I tear things up, I thought I'd try out some lighting mods and take some "before" pics, with no Reshade or any image editing.

The lighting I landed on is Brntwaffles's Dystopian lighting, which is what's shown in the pictures on this post, though I edited the mod to make the moon unnecessarily enormous. It has the "feel" I want for these aliens and, as a bonus, it makes the water look suitably swampy, though I'll be adding fog emitters and more plants to make it more so. Then I'll need a suitable rainy/stormy alien Tempest preset. Oh! I should also mention that I have defaults for the game's "fantasy" trees, to make them a bit less fantasy-looking. For some reason, it lops off the heads of the mushroom trees; I can't remember if that's what it's supposed to do. LOL

Anyway, here are some more pictures because I took a lot of them at various times of day and in various conditions…

I'm calling this an "overview," but really there's not a lot to say about the world. It's extremely cool-looking, if you like alien-swamp sorts of environments, as you can see in the pics. But, it has no roads, no lots, and no flat building areas at all, anywhere, so if you want to use it, you have to place lots in Edit Town. Lots will place just about anywhere and, as far I saw, sims can route pretty much everywhere, too. Once you get lots placed, you'll need to do some more technical building for yourself because downloaded pre-built lots aren't going to fly here.

The world does have lots of spawners, especially insect and rock ones, except that it has no fish spawners at all, which is kind of funny given the amount of water. It doesn't have spawners from Island Paradise or Into the Future, either, but everything else is there. I'm not really sure what EPs it's going to need, and anything it's going to need is going to be vegetation-related because there's literally nothing else here. I do know that those bamboo trees come with World Adventures, and I'm pretty sure the rainbow eucalyptus trees come with Pets and the banana trees and alocasia come with Island Paradise. So there's that.

And that's about all there is to say, really. The rest, as they say, is silence pictures.

Oh! The one and only thing that I'm not fond of in the world is that it has a lot of rainbow spawners. And by "a lot" I mean a riotously excessive amount.

That's not even all of them. Thankfully, they aren't there all the time.

So yeah! Cool world. I'm looking forward to doing some work on it. If I'm at all successful at doing what I want to do with it, I will, of course, share pics.

I just woke up, but for some reason God made me the way I am, so i have some QSMP words to share with you.

I MISS THE CODES. SO MUCH.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new island. The mods are cool, I enjoyed watching Étoiles get yeeted by dinosaurs. But there are so many opportunities for the resistance and the codes that I wish were real 😭

I mean!! Bagi hates the capitalistic system and is part of the resistance. It be so cool if the codes asked her to straight up rob the bank. And perhaps this could have some concecuence for the rest of the server.

OR in some twist of events, send Étoiles out to safe cucurucho from the rabbits.

Or send Fit out to Purgatory island to find the remains of the lost players, maybe discover Maxos body who had some kind of important piece of information.

OR order Pac to reform Sophia again, so they can learn more about the new island. I really hope the codes return. There's still so many unanswered questions and I CRAFE KNOWLEDGE.

Some thoughts and tips for FTH

This is a big event, one that can be confusing and even stressful, so here are some tips for contributors before the whole thing begins.

Most importantly, this is meant to be a fun way to raise donations for important causes. If thinking about it stresses you out too much, don't do it. There are many ways to donate and participate in charity events, and it is perfectly valid to choose what is best for you.  

After you decide you want to participate – look at the 2022 auction page (here) to get a general idea of how it looks. Be not afraid – once you understand the logic, it is easy to navigate. And now that you have some idea how the FTH offers look like, read the FAQ (here). It is a bit long, and can be a bit overwhelming, but well worth the reading.

And now, to the interesting part – my suggestions for a successful bid.

Firstly, decide how many creations you want to offer. Each person can offer up to three creations (fic, art, beta, podfic, ect,), and in a variety of lengths and ratings. Can you really commit to writing 3 fics, each one more than 10K? If so, excellent. If not, it might be better to offer shorter fics, or a long fic but only one.

Don't forget that creators who are offered the option to make something for their second bidders BEFORE second bidders are offered the chance to donate in return for a fanwork. So, it is possible that instead of 3 entries, you will end up with 6.

Equally important is to be clear about your yay and nay. Is there a rare pair that you can’t wait to create art for them? Maybe a character that you don’t want to engage with? What are your favourite genres? Do you prefer canon compliant or AU? Are there scenes you love more than others?

Elaborate what you are especially interested in writing about, but also what you are unwilling to address. There is no need to explain your reasons, but the more specific you are, the more chance people will get excited about your ideas, and won't ask you for things you are not willing to engage with. You can also check for past years to see what others wrote, to some inspiration. 

That is true also for notes and special interests – have you worked in a circus? Maybe you have experience with making flint knives? Sometimes people need very niche knowledge, so don't hesitate to add things.

Highest rating means just that - how explicit you are willing to create, based on the AO3 rating system. If you prefer to stay in the SFW zone, choose G or T. If you want to write NSFW, your choice is between M or E. That means that if a contributor chose G they will create only something with that rating, but a contributor who chose E can write at all the ratings, depending upon the prompt from the bidder. 

Example works - there will be people who are not familiar with your work, so choose the ones that reflect you and your style the best. Make sure they are those you love the most, even if they are not the one with the most kudos or comments.

Ways of communication - sometimes people will have specific prompts in their mind, and want to make sure the contributor is fine with it before they bid. You can choose how to communicate (email, twitter, tumblr, ect.), but whatever way you choose, remember to leave your messages open and check your spam. 

About the bidding price - the default minimum bid price is $5. The money is donated straight to a charity, and the contributors are donating their time and labour. Each year, the FTH mods decide upon a certain number of charities that the winners donate to, and each contributor can decide if they want the donations for their creations to be passed to any of the organisations on the list or specific ones. 

Some organisations are marked with an asterisk (*), which means they allow for international donations directly through their websites, while other organisations don't allow it. The bidders are from all over the world, so it is advised to choose at least one organisation that allows international donations as well.  

The sign-up period is two weeks, so no need to rush. Don’t forget to look at your offers after the browsing week starts, and contact mods if there is any mistake.  

Don’t be disheartened if your offers don’t get bidders straight away. While some people bid as soon as it is possible, others wait for the last minute to make their offer. In any case, the mods highlight offers without bidders, and eventually most, if not all, offers are being claimed.

Once the bidding is over, it takes some time for the mods to notify the winners, for them to donate and present a proof, and after that to receive your contacts from the mods and reach out, so please wait a few days. If after a week no one has approached you, ask the mods and they will solve the problem.

Once your bidders contact you, the real fun starts. This is the time to decide on a prompt both of you will be happy with, and how much collaboration you want. Some contributors prefer to deliver the final creation, while others want to update every step of the way. Some winners will ask to see the work before it is published, while others wish to be surprised, so make sure to reach an agreement beforehand.

Time travel Des gets turned into an animal au, but this time he’s a slugcat from rain world, they’re cute, generally good at parkour, and can have different abilities (artificer can make explosives, spearmaster can make spears from its tail,etc.) so Des could have one of the canon abilities, or he could have a unique one. (Or one from a mod lol)

Anyway, on to the ask.

For those unfamiliar, the Slugcats are the playable characters in the game Rain World.

And look at how adorable they are:

Honestly, I was debating on just keeping him purely Survivor because Survivor is white.

But let’s shake it up a bit.

Desmond’s slugcat ‘type’ changes depending on various conditions:

He’s primarily the white Survivor (base stats) when he’s alone or doing his own thing. This is how his ancestors first saw Desmond and how he’s usually described later in history as a symbol of the Brotherhood.

He turns gold (yeah, not yellow) as the Monk when he’s safe with one of his ancestors, usually curled around the neck and hidden by both the hood and the robes itself. He’s quite warm in this state and tends to purr a lot. He tends to not be that combat-oriented in this state.

He turns red as the Hunter when he’s… well… hunting mostly. Looking for and stalking preys would usually turn him red. Ratonhnhaké:ton is the ancestor who sees this a lot.

He turns into the plump Gourmand when he has eaten quite a lot. This happens a lot with the Auditores because they just love to feed him. He’s slower but he can use his larger body to slam against things and other people. More often than not, he just rolls into a ball and tries for strikes.

Artificer (magenta?) and Spearmaster (purple) are the states that usually appears before Altaïr.

Spearmaster appears when Altaïr has no more throwing knives and he would use the spear that appears on Desmond’s tail instead. Because of this Altaïr actually changed to Desmond’s spears instead (since they’re about the same size of his throwing knife) and Desmond usually helps and flicking his tail turns the spear into a projectile weapon whenever they’re forced into open combat.

Artificer first appeared when Altaïr started working on the hidden gun and his explosive capabilities are usually used for control demolitions. Artificer is more or less just studied when he was with Altaïr. It’s Ezio who turns Desmond into a walking timebomb of distraction and demolition. The requirement to making Desmond an artificer seems to be that he had to smell gunpowder. He turns into an Artificer once he sneezes.

Rivulet (water) is the easiest state to change to. Get Desmond wet and he’d turn into a Rivulet. As long as he’s wet, he’ll stay a Rivulet but… once he’s dry, he’ll return to being a Survivor unless there’s another state requirement being fulfilled (like being wrapped in a warm blanket to dry off while in his ancestor’s arms would turn him into a Monk instead).

Saint’s (green) requirement is a bit of a mystery though but the most possible explanation is that Desmond turns into a saint when he needs to freerun and thinks he needs to use the Saint’s long tongue to grapple and swing from ceilings, walls, tree branches, etc. Saint’s the most frail of his states and Desmond tries to change his states as soon as possible whenever he turns green.

… I feel like whenever one of his ancestors die, Desmond gets a slugpup (maybe it just… splits from him? Or it slithers out of the ancestor’s body?) and follows Desmond around. The slugpup doesn’t shift states but usually tries to help Desmond whenever it can. Desmond’s pretty sure they’re reincarnated slugpup of his ancestors… or maybe he just wants to believe that. Slugpups are very affectionate towards Desmond and Desmond treats them more like his kids than minions.

Desmond names his Slugpups on the ancestor they ‘come from’. Slugpup!Altaïr has the Dominance trait which means he will pick up things he thinks he can use and use them. This is usually not weapon and more like utility items like smoke bombs and even just food he would give to Desmond once he starts to feel sluggish. He also likes to stay with the other slugpups and Desmond isn’t sure if he’s acting as their leader or their big brother… maybe both? Slugpup!Ezio is more on the Energy side and he tends to grab shiny things that are usually expensive af. Slugpup!Ratonhnhaké:ton is an Aggression type and prefers to have a weapon. Mostly, he would have a spear or one of the Assassins’ throwing knives.

Hi regular followers!! I’m so sorry if you've been here a long time, because I don't have much updates on my ~classic~ gameplays and saves and they just...... won't be. For a while.

Not So Perry... I have a bit of Gen 4 but I haven't played in a whiiiiile so. I might revisit that/redo/we'll see.

Star x Crossed is indefinitely on hold - I will probably revise how that was posting because the full episodes just aren't possible right now. I might do it more as like... an edit type thing, where the edits tell the stories or whatever. It SUCKS because I had really big hopes and dreams for that save and instead I... had a child.

The Nobel ABCs will return because I have 10 generations done in game. I just need to queue.

Maggie's Wonderful Life WILL eventually be done LMAO. I'm hoping to get back into that save soonish. I LOVE farming gameplay! So I want to play/finish it. I had about half of the introductions shot before I got distracted with other things and then... well. yeah.

New saves? When I manage to play, I play a lot of newer saves LMAO. Mostly because when I have time right now I need... something easy.

I decided I like doing this once a year Simmancy Newsletter during my favorite time of the year. Halloween remains the BEST season, and there's also no guarantee I won't drop off the face of the planet again.

Obv the main thing is that, as previously stated, I had a baby. A whole ass baby. She's now 3 months old, and she is so much in the best way. We're currently teething and if you're like "Kit that seems a bit early," you're absolutely right but this is the lot I've drawn in life. She likes to be sat up, and stood up, and to talk to the Baby in the Mirror. She also is obsessed with trees and the cat. I know new moms are annoying and I'm absolutely that annoying new mom, I literally cannot shut up about her and therefore make my sims blog also about her.

I go back to work next month and I'm absolutely dreading it. Can I just be a sim and have someone press motherlode for me? Please?

Otherwise, there's very little in Kit World. The past 6 simblr years remain wonderful, and I've met some of my best friends on here. I go between BG3 and Sims when I have game time (which isn't a lot because Baby Simmancy is increasingly awake and mobile). I WISH I had more time to hang around here but maybe in a year or so.

So, going to try something, since I've returned to tumblr and started using it more frequently now, and plenty of people post their Sims 2 stuff to tumblr, so I might as well. We'll see how it works out.

Two new mods on Mod the Sims. The files are on MTS, so click on the links to get them.

This hack does two things:

Allow children adopted from the adoption pool to retain their pre-adoption memories

Marks the biological family of children adopted from the adoption pool as family using the found family hack

There are three versions: noadoptionmemoryloss includes both changes, noadoptionmemoryloss-familyonly only marks the biological family as family and doesn't retain memories, while noadoptionmemoryloss-memoriesonly only retains memories and doesn't mark the biological family as family, The family-marking feature does not actually require the found family hack. If you don't have it installed, it will not appear to work, but if you ever install the found family hack in the future, those family members will then be marked as found family for any sims that were adopted while you had this hack installed. There is also a side hack included here chooseadoptiveparent, which is part of my general project to make the game work for poly sims. This hack will allow you to choose who the second parent of the adopted child will be if the sim who made the call has more than one significant other. Sims count as significant others if the sim who made the call has married, engaged, or going steady flags with them, or is in love with them and they both live on the same lot. (The other significant others can't also be marked as parents, because a lot of the game's code depends on sims having no more than two parents, and in particular, the extended family hack will not work right if there are more than two parents, and modifying it to do so would make it intractable for something that runs every time you mouse over a sim.) This side hack requires one of the versions of noadoptionmemoryloss in order to work. If you don't have noadoptionmemoryloss, you will be given the option to choose the other parent, but your choice will have no effect. I was hoping this could be truly separate, but for some reason EA decided to set the adopted child's parents three separate times instead of just once. Hack compatibility This should not conflict with MidgeTheTree's adoption mods, or any adoption mods that don't modify how the adopted child is selected or generated. It does conflict with Squinge's mod to adopt teens and adopt townies instead of sims from the adoption pool, but if you use that mod it seems like you would be unlikely to adopt any children with existing memories or family members that you would care about, and making these compatible looks like it would be a pain. chooseadoptiveparent may additionally conflict with hacks that change or add dialogs to the adoption process. noadoptionmemory loss modifies BHAV 0x100C in group 0x7FA5FB07 and adds a new BHAV 0x1100 in that group. chooseadoptiveparent modifies BHAV 0x1021 and text list 0x12D in that group. Game compatibility This should be compatible with all game versions.

A very long time ago, I fixed in-law relationships so that in-laws and step family were not romaceable, since the code was very confused about whether or not they were supposed to be. But since then, I've found that there are some few cases where you do want to be able to romance in-laws - maybe you're trying to set up a poly marriage where two siblings are married to the same person, for example, or maybe your sims are just Like That. I just didn't want them to do it willy nilly of their own volition and return to the days when your sim's parents would randomly hit on their spouse for no apparent reason. There is a loophole in the no incest rule, which is that if two sims have any romantic flags, they can interact romantically even if they are considered related. I think this was originally there just to enable spouses to both be considered family and also be romanceable, but I think it makes sense for in-laws, too - if you romanced someone, and then one of you got married and you became in-laws, then continuing to romance them might be cheating, but it shouldn't count as incest. So, all this hack is, is a new social interaction which is exactly the same as Charm for all intents and purposes, except that it is only available to use towards your in-laws or step family who you are not blood related to (and who aren't found family) and who you don't already have some romantic flag towards. If you have a high enough relationship, this should give you a crush flag towards that person, and that will unlock all of the game's other romantic interactions. This interaction can't be performed autonomously, so no one should be romancing their in-laws without your say-so. Family members with romantic flags who are not married are slightly limited in that the game doesn't consider them attraction-capable and you can't use the Check Sim Out interaction on them. These issues are fixed in the Polygamy-attractionfix and Polygamy-checksimoutfix respectively that I uploaded previously here. These hacks will not add polygamy to your game, they were just originally intended to fix the same issues for polygamous sims. You will need to install both the social object, and one of the social plugin packages for the social to work. Hack compatibility If you have the extended family hack (either version) you can optionally download the seduceinlawsocialplugin+extendedfamily version of the social plugin in order to exclude in-laws who are also extended family from the interaction. seduceinlawsocialplugin only excludes close family and found family and does not require any other hacks. This is a new, self-contained social interaction and does not override any existing game resources, and thus should not conflict with anything. Game compatibility This should be compatible with all game versions.

I'm an artist and graphic designer, so I completely get people's outrage and frustration (especially on Tumblr, where outrage is already amplified and cranked up to 11), but at the same time, they're letting the outrage blind them to reality. AI is here. It's not going away. People can do their absolute best to foil it and discourage its use -- and that's completely fair -- but, to a certain degree, all you're doing is effectively training the AI to be better at working around those measures. Developers are not going to be like, "*sigh*, well, guys, they're just throwing too many roadblocks as us, let's pack it in." It's here. At a certain point people need to suck it up or get off Tumblr and look into supporting legislation that better controls it. But ultimately, I think there's a level of futility to all of it. If you can't stop it, learn how to use it to your advantage. My company has signed up for OpenAI so that we can do just that. I use it to generate stock images that don't exist, and that I don't have time to manually create on my own. I use it to create reference photos or images (that don't already exist) for myself that are hard for me to mentally conceptualize, so that I can create my own art. People LOVE to be angry. It's been more than 10 years since it's become an online hobby for most people. The whole point of your Tumblr, and the reason that I enjoy it so much, is because it is a complete departure from that constant, seething outrage that does no one any good, and has no positive returns. I've already voted in the poll, but -- do what you love. Block the haters. It's the best you can do to maintain this nice, sweet, cozy corner you've created for yourself and those who enjoy it.

This was really well put. At the end of the day no matter if I continue to post ai content it will still exist. I’m not the mastermind behind ai, I can barely remember how to mod my sims game properly.

Also like you said artist themselves use ai to help with their art. Not every ai picture is taken from stole art. Sometimes it’s for like you said, stock photos, or just to properly visualize what you’d like to do.

While I also understand people’s frustration I never meant to offend anybody. You are right though. The whole point of me making this tumblr was because I was in a very bad stop mentally. I did want to eat, I had nightmares when I slept. I didn’t see any beauty in the world and I didn’t want to be apart of it anymore. This was very hard to deal with and I was withering away.

Towards the end of the tutorial/fic, there was a part 2 published that covered the events after WWX's death, and if the player was close to/dating NHS he'd confide in her after his brother's death. If the player lived in Cloud Recesses because she bought a house there or was married to LXC, then she might meet A-Yuan, but only if she didn't participate in WWX's death, because otherwise LWJ would never let her see his son.

I am looking for a very specific fic - wangxian, xuanli at the very least - takes place post-Sunshot. At one point (I believe during the Phoenix Mtn hunt) someone targets JXN but force-feeding his dog a magic core stone which causes it to grow into a massive dog yao and WWX and JXN have to fight it off together. Later one of JXN's other dogs is force-fed a core stone while a whole load of cultivators are trapped in a building and JXN has to stick his hand in its mouth to pull the stone out. From what I remember was that LWJ was obsessive and WWX was oblivious LWJ killed I think a friend of WWX at midnight at school and tried to cover up the body. It's a wangxian fic with wei ying being the bottom. There is mpreg but I'm not sure it's is omegaverse or not. There is a suprise reveal later after the pregnancy is announced that wei ying is pregnant with TRIPLETS. I think lan zhan or lan qiren faint when this is revealed. All I remember was that it was the beginning of the cloud recesses lectures and, instead of sneaking in and getting into a romantic sword fight under the moonlight with his soul mate, wwx is already a little drunk and instead ends up slipping while climbing the wall and falling on his head. Lwj finds him immediately and wwx has a very serious head injury and so has to spend some time in the infirmary. This isn’t an award show speech but this is a very important project to me and something that I’ve been working on for a while so I do want to give thanks.

First of all, thank you to my artist Cove who without I would not have actually finished this project! Hir art was actually a driving piece behind my push to finish even when I wanted to scrap everything and had maybe…12 hours left to get it all done! The care and love ze gave Max and Daniel made me so happy and made me want to write something worthy of the art. I’m not sure I managed but I tried! @nobrakesdown

I would also like to thank Juno for her valuable insight and help when I was freaking out over this project. She helped me feel comfortable and confident in my writing and is one of my greatest writing influences and muses LOL, the amount of help she has put into every single one of my ideas is immeasurable. She also is the one who got me into f1! @yujaeist

Also a huge thank you to @f1bb mods for running this whole thing, because you all are stronger soldiers than me! This is a lot to do and I could not do it.

And, to my best friend, @mercury-bb who was there when I first conceived this idea on their couch, thank you for always believing in me and also encouraging me to finish LMFAO I was really stressing about it.

Thank you to Eastern Washington for being a shit hole that I love and hate. This place is my home, and it always will be. It’s beautiful, it’s awful, it’s boring, it’s the best place I’ve ever seen. It’s home. And in this universe it’s home to Max and Daniel, for better or for worse. Everyone I know always returns, because that’s what this place is. It’s awful and it’s the only place I’ll probably settle down to. If you don’t know what the Hanford project is, look it up. That’s what this place is, that’s where I grew up. It’s a disaster, but it’s what I know.

Finally, thank you to anyone who has ever read my works, seen my silly tumblr posts, dropped a like, dropped a kudos, commented, sent an ask. Every note I get on my writing just makes me want to write more and again, without you, I wouldn’t have finished it.

I am so sorry that this is so long but finishing this fic has made me reflect and it’s my most personal published project to date, so I just wanted to show my gratitude.
